Breakthrough in Hard Times: A Testimony | Luke Munns

Hey, this is Endyo, the pastor of Genation Church, and this is

message, God bless anyway, It's great to be here. So look,

I just would love to share my part of my testimony of the last few

years. As I said, it's my first tour back after COVID. We've

just done Manila for a week, and then we came to Singapore for a

week, and now we're in Malaysia, which I think is the best.

So good. Well, it's just great to be here. So I'd love

to share my testimony with you about the last few years and how I got

to be standing here before you guys. So the first thing I'd love to

do is I'm about to explain a whole bunch of stuff. But during COVID,

you know, everything shut down and for me, I lost, you

know, pretty much everything. I had a thriving music production business, a

media company, I had a studio. I was traveling around the world six

months a year, going all over the world, leading worship, preaching,

praying for people, and you know, as John Coo would know. Daryl

Wong, my booking agent who does all of Asia. When COVID hit,

he wrote me one text message and the text message said, Luke, all

your tours are canceled. And there was ten cities booked all through twenty twenty

and each one of them all just disappeared. And then all the churches and

all the ministries and all the artists started contacting me and saying, you know,

we've had to cancel our album, We've had to cancel I'm a music

producer for a job. If you didn't know, that's why I'm talking about

all this. You know, Luke, we have to cancel our album,

we have to cancel our single, we have to cancel our project. We've

canceled our music video and our live recording. And it just kept coming and

coming and coming and coming. So I'm going to explain more about that,

but firstly, what I wanted to do is share with you during that time,

I wrote a new song in the Light. It's a song about going

from darkness to light, and honestly was the hardest song that I've ever written

in my life. And there was so much opposition to writing this song and

releasing this song. I'm here, I've been. I feel like God has

sent me over to Asia and to you guys to just share with you what

I've been through. And I know this can really help you. God's gonna

really touch and set a lot of people's lives free tonight when we pray at

the end. But look, I just want to start by saying, and

I mentioned it before that you know, before COVID, I was thriving.

I was living the dream. People were patting me on the back, like,

man, you've created your own band and you're going all over the world

and all this is going amazing. And what happened, like I said,

is COVID hit. And I got that text message from Darryl saying the booking

agents saying all your tours are canceled. And at first I was like,

what do I do? What am I going to do? And I ended

up basically doing nothing. There was just nothing happening. I was just sitting

on the couch watching TV, ordering like grab food and just like just sitting

there doing nothing. I was feeling sorry for myself. But as time went

on, something started to creep up in my heart and it was like I

would get stabbing chest pains and panic attacks and breathing problems, and like I

was suffocating and just really bad anxiety started to hit me and I didn't know

what to do, and I was having a panic attacks and freaking out basically,

and I'd be in meetings and I'd have to like go out and try

and catch my breath, and I'd be walking up the stairs to have meetings,

and then I just couldn't breathe. I felt like I was choking,

and I was like, God, what is wrong with me? What is

wrong with me? So I ended up going to the doctor, and the

doctor basically said to me, you know, with everything going on, you've

lost all this stuff. You've basically got anxiety disorder. So I'm like,

great, now I've got this major problem and it just keeps getting worse.

So anyway, the doctor said, look, the best thing to do is

be go and see a Christian psychologist. Went to the Christian psychologist and within

half an hour he said to me, Luke, this is a spiritual attack.

He said, You're under attack by the enemy. He's sent this anxiety

and we're going to find out what it is and how to get rid of

it. So you're going to be free. Hey. So we prayed and

we broke legal rights and generational curses, and we really went through systematically and

broke the attack of the enemy off my life. Amen. And so what

happened is is, week by week by week, I felt my heart going

back to normal. I felt all the stress and the tension and distress all

leaving my body, and it was amazing. And so I just want to

tell you tonight that and I've got more stories after this. But whatever you've

been through, whether it's anxiety, whether it's stress, whether it's depression,

if you've been feeling suicidal because of COVID or because of anything else that's been

happening in your world, if you're under financial pain or stress, or you

know, poverty, all these things are attacking you. I'm letting you know

that not everything is natural, Not everything comes from our silly mistakes. Some

things are. There is a spirit, realm, and there is a devil,

and he hates your guts, and he wants to kill, steal,

and destroy from your life. And he knew that I had a destiny.

He knew that I'd be standing here once COVID's over, helping people leading worship,

you know, making music videos, helping one hundred artists this year with

their music. He knew I was going to be doing all these things,

so he's trying to hold me back. And let me say that some of

you here in this room, he's trying to hold you back as well.

He's sending attacks, he's sending people, he's sending he's sending setbacks, he's

sending sicknesses some of you, sending mental illness to some of you. And

I know in a room like this, there's going to be all kinds of

things. And I want to say that, you know, medication is great,

Like I didn't need to take an medication, and some people do,

and and and my kids are on medication for other things. So medication is

fine. But what I'm saying is that sometimes medication does not work. Sometimes

the doctors do not know what to do, and only Doctor Jesus when he

steps in, can set you free and deliver you and make you whole again

after you've been attacked so heavily from the enemy. Is that Okay, Yeah,

I'm pretty passionate about this stuff. So after after a few sessions and

after you know, getting some prayer and fasting and breaking this thing. The

anxiety left, amen, and Jesus set me free. And now I'm telling

you right now, I'm I've got I've got nothing to worry about anymore.

And it's not just because things are going well. It happened before. It

happened before COVID got back, and Jesus came in and stepped in and set

me free. And then when once that was over, my five year old

daughter, Chloe, she started getting what's called night terrors. So basically she'd

wake up in the night and she'd just be screaming in terror, and she'd

be, you know, almost like she's being tortured. And we couldn't wake

her up. We couldn't break her out of it. We couldn't. We

couldn't snap her out of it. We're trying everything. I tried prayer,

I tried not praying. I tried talking in a nice voice. I tried,

I tried rebuking the devil, and to be honest, like some things

like started talking back to me, which is pretty intense. It changes your

theology once once you know, you start getting confronted with some serious stuff when

your five year old daughter. So we were praying and we were praying.

And basically what I did during this time is I got this anointing oil and

I filled it up to the top. And I have used this anointing oil

from the top all the way down to here during during the last three years

on myself and on my family, and I've got the same. This is

the same anointing all that I prayed for myself, prayed for my daughter,

prayed for my family. I put it. I put it all over us,

I put it all over the house, I put it everywhere. I

know this could be heavy for some of you, but this is real.

I'm telling you. This is a real and this is my real life.

This is my testimony that I'm sharing. You know, the Bible says in

Isaiah ten twenty seven in the New King James version, it shall come to

pass in that day that this burden will be taken away from your shoulder,

and this yoke from your neck, and the yoke will be destroyed because of

the anointing oil. So when I couldn't breathe, and when I had that

thing on me, it was felt like a yoke, like it was stuck,

and it was like literally like a physical feeling like I couldn't breathe,

And the anointing of Jesus Christ broke that yoke. Amen. And in the

other version, in the New Living Translation, it says, in that day

the Lord will end the bondage of his people. He will break the yoke

of slavery and lift it from their shoulders. So some of you right now,

you might be sick, you might be in financial lack, you might

be in stress or anxiety or depression, whatever it is that you're going through,

and you feel like you're in slavery to this thing. You feel like

you feel like it's on your shoulders and you can't lift it off. Because

I know I was like that, and it hit me from nowhere. And

let's go to Matthew eleven twenty eight in the NLT. Come to me Jesus,

all of you who are weary and loaded down with burdens, and I

will give you rest. You know, we were up at one am,

two am with our daughter not knowing what to do, and we needed rest.

And I'm telling you right now, Jesus wants to come here and give

some of you rest. It's been hard, it's been long, it's gone

on forever, it's been years. And years and years, and God wants

to come and give you rest from this. He wants to set you free.

He wants to change your life from the inside out. You know one

thing that we did through all of this period of time is we just played

worship. The main song that I played over and over and over and repeat

was called I Speak Jesus by Charity Gay And if you look at my Spotify

wrapped this year, it's just like Charity Gale one thousand hours and you know,

so we would put that on in my daughter's room and she just go

back to sleep that as we speak Jesus over you, that God's going to

do something and unlock something and heal something and break something. In Jesus's name,

I'm just going to pray for anybody that needs prayer tonight. If this

is resonated with you and you feel in your heart that that you're like Luke,

I see what you've been through, I see where you've come out the

other side. I see that Jesus has been good to you and has released

you and set you and your family free. If you relate to that and

you've got anxiety, depression, sickness, or infirmity in your life, for

poverty is hitting you. If the enemy is coming and stealing and killing and

destroying and you feel stuck and you can't move forward and there's things holding you

back. Thank you, Jesus, Thank you, Jesus, Holy Spirit.

We just invite you to come and move with your people. You love them

so much and you don't want to see them struggling, hurt and broken anymore.

Heal, deliver, and set people free. Tonight, I declare freedom

in this place. I declare freedom in this place. I declare freedom in

this place, total freedom and nothing less in Jesus' name. Okay, So

what we're going to do right now is it going to repeat after me,

and we're going to repent and renounce for anything known or unknown that might be

holding us back or giving access to the enemy. So repeat after me,

ready, Dear Jesus. I repent, and I renounce of all of my

sin and all of my mistakes and anything that I know or don't know that

I've done wrong. And now we're just going to renounce, which means separate

from and disconnect from anything that the Holy Spirit's putting in our hearts. So

so you know, you say, I renounce and then say anxiety, depression,

poverty, and then anything else that you might be thinking right now.

Any sicknesses, any diseases, Just say them right now, say them to

Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. We renounce these things. God, we

disconnect from them. God, we turn from them. God, we turn

away from anxiety, We turn away from depression. God we turn away from

poverty. God we change our hearts and our minds right now. And I

pray God that you're anointing would fall right now in three two one that you're
