-
God bless since this Christmas season. Let me talk a little bit about Christmas
-
and the title. Today's message is simply this some sea God, but don't
-
seek God. Some sea God, but don't seek God. I want to
-
talk about the difference between seeing and seeking. Amen. Okay, how many
-
of you loved Christmas shopping? Nobody else? I know? I know you
-
don't like Christmas shopping because you have to spend money. Ah, you like
-
other people to go Christmas shopping and buy gifts for you? Yes, okay,
-
I think I understand because I do like Christmas shopping. But I want
-
to be more specific. I like Christmas window shopping. Like I like to
-
go and see all the stuff that I could buy or I may buy,
-
but I wouldn't buy because I can't off the window shopping. All right?
-
Have many you like to go window shopping? Elist Let's go around and see
-
all the little little nice things that they put out, all the nice packages
-
you know that you don't get any other time, but except Christmas. You
-
know there's good deals, discounts, all these packages together. Windows shopping.
-
Okay, many of us during this Christmas season. Okay, so it's so
-
busy, right, so packed, traffic jam, can't find parking, all
-
the mons are super packed in this period. But yeah, a lot of
-
us go windows shopping. Elist Okay, if you don't actually shop, we
-
go window shopping. The thing about windows shopping is windows shopping don't actually result
-
in gifts and actual gifts. You don't actually buy anything. You don't actually
-
bring home anything. You just see. You just look out. You just
-
going through the store. You see what's there. You actually anything, you
-
know, maybe you dream, you dream about owning that high five system or
-
or own that car or whatever. Window shopping. So the thing about just
-
looking and just seeing all these gifts is you don't actually get the gives and
-
own it. Let's turn to the Bible now, second Chronicles. The seven
-
ver was fourteen. The Bible says, here, if my people who are
-
called by my name will humble themselves, so we who are we who have
-
been called by the name of God, We who have been marked by Jesus,
-
all those of us who are saved. The Bible says, if we
-
are to humble ourselves, if you will humble ourselves and pray and seek my
-
face, the Bible says, not just see his face, but seek his
-
face and turn from their wicked race. Then the Lord says, I will
-
hear from heaven and will forgive they are sein and heal their land. Amen.
-
There is a promise that if he would seek God, if you would
-
humble ourselves and seek God, not just come to see him, not just
-
come to church and watch a show, or the next week there will be
-
a show. But it's more than just a show. And every week when
-
we come, we'll not to see her to be entertained, just watch something
-
happen. But God says, if you, if you will seek my face,
-
there is a promise. I will perform miracles, I will blessed,
-
and I will heal, I will forgive, and I will I will do
-
all these wonderful things. You know, God, our God is longingly.
-
He longs for us, and he longingly calls those who belong to him,
-
and that's all of us. A man, my people, my people.
-
He claims ownership. There he didn't just say people. He says, if
-
my people, those who belong to me, if they will seek me.
-
Somebody says, seek God. Amen. The Bible says, those who seek
-
him will find him. Those who seek him will find him. It is
-
not possible for those of us who humble ourselves and seek God and not find
-
him. Amen. Those of us who seek him will find him. God's
-
promises that. Probabs eight, verse seventeen says the Bible God says, I
-
love those who love me, and those who seek me diligiently will find me
-
will find me. Those who diligiently seek me will find me. It is
-
a guarantee, it is a will happen. If you seek God diligently,
-
you will find him. So the distinction here is is, have we come
-
just to see God and watch him perform miracles and watch him touch someone's life
-
and watch him move in some place, or have we come to seek Him
-
and seek him diligently. Is it possible that for those of us who just
-
come to see Him, that's the reason why we don't find God? Then,
-
and then those of us who diligately seek after God find him. Matthew
-
seven verse six to eleven says is ask and it will be given to you.
-
Seek and you will find. Knock and it will be open to you.
-
For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, And to
-
him who knocks it will be open. For what man is there among you,
-
who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?
-
Which father here will do that? Or if he asks for a fish,
-
will he give him a snake, a serpent, a bython, and
-
a conda. No. If you, then, God says say, if
-
you human being, being evil, even you know how to give, God
-
gives to your children, how much more will your father, who is in
-
heaven, who is ultimately good, there's no bad and evil in him,
-
how much more will he give good things to those who ask him? Why
-
would this God, who is so good hide himself from you if you do
-
seek him? Amen? Some see God but don't seek God. I want
-
to encourage us today to not just be see us, but seek us.
-
Not just come to church to watch, but come to church to wait upon
-
him and seek God and learn what it means to seek him. Because those
-
who diligently seek him, the Bible says, will find him, will encounter
-
god Zion and I growing up. He loves to play this game. And
-
I mean, I don't know those who you have kids or have seen kids
-
before, you know he would he knows I'm coming up to the room,
-
and he will actually say, daddy, way of course, so I know
-
he's up there, Daddy wait, Okay, I'm gonna hide, and he'll
-
go jam on the our bed, our master bedroom bit and then he'll go
-
You'll find this big blanket and he'll crawl under it and then he'll say,
-
okay, Daddy, come find me. Like, guys, hello, you
-
know where he is, right? We all can hear him. We can
-
see the bouch on the baby like we know he's there. But it's fun
-
for him because it's all about the fun. It's about like, oh,
-
I'm hiding in here, Daddy can't see me. You know he's there.
-
He's meant to be found. And then as daddy's and mummies, we all
-
pretend're like, oh, I wonder where are you? Oh not our feet
-
on the bed, oh ouch ouch ouse, malaysaid Liana, and then they
-
find it so fun. They're like he they're laughing under the blanket. And
-
then you'll finally I wonder what's here, what's his bouts over here? And
-
then I will usually just charm and land on him bum and he'll be loughing.
-
Then he can't find me, like you're right there. And after a
-
while, you know, when I get bored, I'll be like I just
-
opened up the blank Ah, there you are. Then he found me and
-
it's so fun, and then he does it all over okay, daddy again.
-
I mean it's like this kind of I feel like we being got children
-
and God is playing that game with us. He's like he's not really hiding.
-
It's meant to be found. He's like he makes it so obvious,
-
like I'm right here, Come seek me. It's not the kind of heart
-
and seek where God hides somewhere and you cannot find him. Like if God
-
wanted you to not find him, he'll be very easy. He wanting to
-
do that. He'll just go through like one of the multi million universe and
-
hide himself there somewhere and you can't find him. No, no, no,
-
Our God is playing the same kind and I used playing loosely obviously right
-
the same blanket hiring sik game, Like he's right there, He's way bigger
-
than Zion. He's like if he has in the blanket, you're like boom,
-
okay. That God's right there. And he said, he's saying,
-
come find me. I'm meant to be found. You will find me.
-
All you have to do is take those steps, comestairs, open the door,
-
look around. I'm right there. Amen. God calls us. In
-
fact, he commands, and someone say command. You know what a command
-
is. Right. He's not suggesting. He's not giving a good advice.
-
He's not just saying, ah, if you can. He commands. He
-
commands us to seek him. He's not like Zian. Okay, then he
-
come for me. He's like, come find me every Saturday, every Sunday,
-
every day when you wake up, come find me. Tillgiently seek me.
-
God commands us to seek him. You know why. You know why
-
God commands anytime you remember the time he said don't worry. Why He knows
-
we will worry. He knows we will worry, so he says, ah,
-
before you do it, let me tell you first. Don't worry.
-
Don't worry about tomorrow or tomorrow, worry about yourself a man. Every time
-
God gives a command, especially when he says, do not. He knows
-
we will. That's why he says, do not to remind us and guess
-
what he says. What he says, diligently seek me. Why he knows
-
we will go around seeking something else? Always? Always, The answer is
-
right in front of our eyes and our face, and ander our knows us
-
true satisfaction. Fulfillment can only be found in God. We know this,
-
We know this, but yet we seek so many other alternatives to try to
-
find the fulfillment their satisfaction, and it never works. But we do it
-
anyway. Why because we have fallen human beings in need of God's grace a
-
man. So God says to us, seek me, come find me,
-
because he knows we'll go looking for something in someone else, left to ourselves.
-
We always do that, yes or no. It's like, you know,
-
letting a child lose in the grocery store. He's not gonna go by,
-
He's not gonna go and buy broccoli. Okay, are you're hungry?
-
Right, go find food. You think he's gonna find bccoli and carrots.
-
No, he's gonna go straight to the candy section, gonna go straight to
-
this afternoon, I went downstairs, I came downstairs. I see my daughter
-
in the living room with a bag of chips. She went to the fresh
-
and took herself. She's just eating chips. But the fridge has broccoli and
-
carrots and pasta. Even there's milk there. But oh, I'm hungry,
-
so I eat chips. Yeah. God knows this. God knows when he
-
lets you loose in this grocery store of the world. You're not gonna go
-
looking for broccoli. You're gonna go look for sour cream. Way, what
-
is vegetable? Nos pour cream? Potato chips? Right, potato is a
-
vegetable. God, yes, sure, So he tells us not to worry
-
because people will worry. He tells us to seek God, seek me,
-
because he knows we will seek other things past. You're stalling, obvious,
-
Sorry, yes I am. God does it to all the time because we
-
need a reminder. Back to Christmas shopping. I don't really like Christmas shopping
-
because it's always so crowded. Actually, you know, they make a look
-
at a discount, but they probably change the price like just before and tell
-
you they drop the prize. But you know, you know, you know
-
all these marketing tricks. So I don't know. I guess stressed out mainly
-
because I don't know what to buy for that person. I don't know if
-
another person will like it hate it. I don't know. But in my
-
years of windows shopping and actual shopping, I learn a few things. When
-
you look for a gift. There are three things I think you need to
-
do. Let's see if you agree. Yeah, three things when looking for
-
a gift. When you seek for a gift, So I'm not just doing
-
windows shopping now, yeah, We're actually going to get it, gonna get
-
this gift. We go seek for the gift. There are three things.
-
Number one, see if you're a great. Number one is budget. You've
-
got to know your budget. Right you can just go there and say I
-
wanna buy whatever. Budget doesn't matter, you know, go to some comepay
-
with a tesla. Whoah. I also like that you can, but it's
-
not as simple, right ah. You gonna have a budget. You gotta
-
ask yourself what is the price that I'm willing to pay? Same is with
-
you seeking God? What is your budget this gift of getting God? You
-
know? Polses Paul says, all my accolades, all my achievement, my
-
certificates, my medals. My trophy is my my tantri, all my time,
-
all that. You know what? He actually used the word done another
-
way for pool, another way for I can't say he said all these things
-
compared to gaining God, all those things are done. It's like poop.
-
It's a trash to me. The real gift for me, Paul says,
-
is to know Him, to find him. That's the gift. See God,
-
So what is the price that you and I are willing to pay?
-
When you go shopping? You need to know, Okay, I'm willing to
-
pay this much for a gift for this person. I can't spend above that
-
because I don't have the budget for it. How about God? When it
-
comes to seeking God, what is the price that you and I are willing
-
to pay? What's a budget? Imagine God having a budget when he died
-
for you. You know what, eight billion people? I can only die
-
for seven billion of them. You better holp you one one billion right now?
-
God, God knew the price he was willing to pay. He was
-
willing to give his own life, He was willing to give everything for you.
-
That was the price he was willing to pay to get you this gift.
-
Now, way, flip around and ask ourselves what is the price that
-
I A'm willing to pay to seek God. It can be something simple like
-
waking up a little bit earlier, second frightened sleep to seek God. To
-
something much bigger I don't know, an entire change of career so that I
-
have more time to go on missions for something that something big, something small,
-
doesn't matter. But what is your budget? Number two? Is this?
-
You gotta mean what's the need? And what's a want? When you
-
buy gifts? We all say we need an iPhone fifteen Promax? We need
-
it? Sure? Is that really a want or a need? Right?
-
Oh? I need a Tesla? I need a Tesla. Grap can get
-
you there too, right, and I can get you there too. So
-
do you really need or is it a want? Simple but makes all the
-
difference, Yes, what's the need? What's the one? When you want
-
to buy a gift for somebody, Like if I'm buying a gift for my
-
wife, I gotta know what does she want? What does she need?
-
Do you know what you need? And how much? Do you want what
-
you need? Or do you just want what you want? It comes to
-
seeking God, we have to differentiate what's a want and what's the need?
-
Amen, maybe you want it now, but God says what you need is
-
wait. That's the difference when it comes to seeking God. God makes the
-
distinction between what you want and what you and God really gives you what you
-
want. If God gives you what you want is actually a dangerous thing.
-
Every time God gives people what they want in the Bible, it never where
-
it really ends up. Well read the Bible. But God gives us what
-
we need, even if that's not what we want. Matthew six thirty three
-
says this seek first. It's going to seek something sick first, the kingdom
-
of God and his righteousness. This is above your career, above your wealth,
-
above your health, even maybe above your own happiness, above everything.
-
God says, sick first, the Kingdom of God and his righteousness his standard.
-
Basically, because what is right what is wrong? Only God determines that.
-
So when he says seek my kingdom verse and my righteousness. God is
-
saying seek my standard, my standard for success, my standard for achievement,
-
my standard for career, my standard for everything. God say, seek me
-
first and my righteousness, and all these things. Just before this scripture we
-
were talking about what shall I wear, what shall I eat? All these
-
things? God says it shall be added to you. But first things first.
-
Amen. So as this year comes to an end and you're about to
-
start a new year, can we make a least? Can we really determine
-
what is it that we just want? But what are the things that we
-
need? God knows what we need. Maybe you don't need another hobby,
-
Maybe you don't need more sleep. I don't know. Maybe this is what
-
you want. Maybe you don't need more money. Maybe this is what you
-
want. But I think the key, the ability to able to be able
-
to distinct between need and want, makes a whole lot of difference. So
-
when you want to buy a give you okay, what's the person willing to
-
pay? Then you narrow down that right, So you can't go to Gucci,
-
So you go to Vince. You don't waste timeline, go shoot to
-
the floor, save two time. Then you're like, okay, what's you
-
need? What's the one? Okay, she don't need another pear of shoe
-
cause she's got like five hundred. But I notice she don't have a bag.
-
Looks like looking for back at that right. So that's the third thing.
-
You narrow down. You short lists, not shoes, not bell,
-
not dress, not scar not shots, not socks, not bad You narrow
-
down. Then you buy otherwise have to buy. You know, we get
-
so overwhelmed what to buy? Let is hopping most so big, Everything looks
-
nice, so you have to deduce, reduce, and then you focus in
-
on what's really needed. Yes, shopping shopping tips that this is us how
-
to seek God. You have a budget, distinct distinguished between need and want,
-
and then you narrow down. James Forbus It says this draw near to
-
God, and he will draw near to you. The idea is you should
-
start narrowing down into what's really important and what's most important. Those of us
-
who live longer, we get better at this. We start to narrow down,
-
and we to realize what's really important and what's not so important. The
-
Bible says, if you draw near to God, he will draw near to
-
you. Amen. I pray the next time you go shopping you remember all
-
this. It's just seeking for a gift. I pray you remember seek God
-
and it should lead you to a place where you know. You narrow down,
-
You say, you know what at the end of the day, God
-
is most important of all the relationships I can build. This is the most
-
important of all the things I can spend my time on. This is most
-
important. So that's why you should sell us time for God first, then
-
everything else. We tend to do it the other way around. Yes,
-
let's be honest. We tend to schedule our meetings, our homework time,
-
whatever it is that we excuse everything else, and then the leftovers He the
-
God, because God understands. Now, it's not about God understand He understands.
-
The thing is, it's the attitude that we bring into seeking God.
-
Drawn here to God, and he will drawn here to you. He is
-
the most important relationship. He's the most important person you need to spend time
-
with. He's the one who deserves your best, honor, your best focus.
-
He deserves our best, not just our all the rest. Amen.
-
Give God what's right, not what's left. So budget need versus want narrow
-
down whatever it is. It should lead you to a place where God becomes
-
most important, most focal, most forefront. Amen. So let's end with
-
this. How do How does God want us to seek him? How does
-
he want us to seek him? He wants us to seek him. You
-
know that right that's established determine. It's clear God wants. But how Jeremiah
-
to nine, verse thirteen says this, you will seek me and find me
-
when you seek me with all your heart. You will seek me, you
-
will find me. But there's a little condition when you do it with all
-
of your heart. How much of your heart? All of your heart.
-
So looks like it's got to do with our heart. You see, we
-
can fool anyone around us. You can sing loudest and we all assume you're
-
most passionate about God. Yeah, you can leave your hand the highest and
-
we all assume that, Ah, you're closer to God because you can read
-
so high. But God sees through all of that and sees your heart.
-
So you can fool everyone else, can't fool God. You will seek me
-
and find me when you seek me with all your heart. James four,
-
verse five to eight says this, Or do you think that the scripture says
-
in vain, the spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously. Have you ever
-
heard this term before? That God is a jealous god. He wants you
-
all to himself. Well, he is a possessive one, yeah is,
-
But he gets to do that. Why he paid with his blood for you.
-
Of Course he owns you. Of course he possesses you. He's your
-
God. So he is jealous. The spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously,
-
but he gives more grace, the Bible says. Therefore, he says,
-
God resists the proud. He resists the proud, but gives grace to
-
the humble. Therefore, submit to God resists the devil, and he will
-
flee from you. Draw near to God. Oh, it looks like you
-
can't just draw near to God. You gotta also, he's a push and
-
pull. Friends, It's not gonna be like, Okay, you know what,
-
I'm gonna love God more and then everything's gonna be easy for you.
-
The moment you decide I'm gonna seek God, I'm gonna love him more,
-
I'm gonna make him a party, that's where the temptations and the challenges come.
-
Yes, the moment you say I'm gonna be faithful, that's when the
-
test comes. Because how will you know you're faithful unless you are tested or
-
tempted to be unfaithful? How do you know that you can be honest unless
-
there's a test or a challenge to be this honest sin. You pass the
-
test and you know, yeah, I am truly indeed, honest, faithful,
-
loving kind Amen. The test will come. There's it's a push and
-
pull. You submit to God while you're resisting the devil. And at the
-
same time the Bible says, therefore, somebody to God, resists the devil,
-
and he will flee from you. Drawn near to God, and he
-
will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify
-
your hearts. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with
-
all of your heart. But not just any heart. God doesn't want to
-
bad heart. He asks to purify our hearts. You double minded when God
-
says purify your hearts. Here it's not just okay, no more dirty word,
-
no more dirty movies, no more dirty songs or the songs with the
-
either explicit okay, don't listen anymore. Not just that. That's all small
-
parts of it. Terrify your husbands. You cannot be double minded. You
-
cannot like, I want God, but I also wonder the world. I
-
want to seek him, but I also need some time for all my kid
-
dramas and no time. But God, you can't be double minded. That's
-
not pure. That's like every lover couple knows this. It's like going on
-
a date but thinking about somebody else ha res or bring on a date,
-
not just thinking about first Let's go home and watch my drama. You're just
-
you're not really there. So God says, purify your hearts. You can't
-
be double minded. You can't want me and something else. So we know
-
this, How does God wants to seek him? We all of our heart,
-
But the heart has to be in a good condition. What condition has
-
to be? Does they have to be in in a purified condition? What
-
is a purified condition? Not double minded? Not one but the one,
-
No one but the one. I won't God, but I also want me.
-
I want God to bless me, but I also wanted my way.
-
You cannot do that. That's not pure. But I never say bout what
-
are and no, no, no, yeah, I know, I know,
-
good person. Didn't all the commanments I've kept from my youth, and
-
God still says you still miss something. This is the same passion that he
-
says. You cannot serve God and mammon, can't You can't have two masters.
-
Looks like the region ruler had two masters. That's why he couldn't set
-
Though. Every Christian here wants to please God. I know that every Christian
-
here wants to glorify God. Our problem is never that. I don't think
-
your problem ever is, Oh, you don't love God. Lie, you
-
don't to honor him. I don't think that's the problem. Now we all
-
want to honor which person the right mind? I want to say, I
-
want to know what today? I want the purpose got kick gotta make him
-
angrier? Purposely? No one does that? Lie you there? No,
-
our issue is never that. Our issues usually I want God, but I
-
also it's way more innocent than I purposely want to kick goner. No,
-
it's just I want God, but I also want me. I want my
-
space, I want my way. I want go to show up. I
-
want him to show up when I want him to show up the way you
-
show up. I want to marry a right person. But the right person
-
that I choose, she's always dead. You will seek me, and you
-
will find me when you seek me with all your heart. What kind of
-
heart? Purified? Not double minded heart, a single minded heart. God
-
is first, always all the time. Amen. So let's talk about some
-
kind of hearts, kind of heart that God doesn't want, and that kind
-
of heart that God one's number one, God does not want, a haughty
-
heart. I know I'm a haughty I don't mean that. No, h
-
T T I E haughty. Hoty means prideful, prideful, a heart that
-
is filled with self, not just action. Ha ha. I'm bigger than
-
God. Again, you're a Christians, most of you know what is gonna
-
dead to God and say, you know what, I'm bigger and you are
-
smarter than you are greater, and you know one does that. A lot
-
of these so called scenes are a bit more subtle and slyer, and that
-
it slips into our psyche without us knowing. Pride is spacially when you don't
-
pray. When you face a problem and you don't pray, Do you know
-
that's pride because you're implying I don't need God. I can handle this by
-
myself, because praying is basically saying I need God. Not praying is therefore
-
implying I don't need you. Huh got angry, ha ha? Got some
-
So some of your thoughts not just kidding. When you don't pray, it
-
is subting like that friends. You think I was talking about you. Ah,
-
No, we don't do that. We do more innocent things like forget
-
to pray, don't read the Bible. I want, I want self.
-
I will just nah. God doesn't want a haughty heart. God wants a
-
humble heart. In other words, you will seek me and you will find
-
me when you seek me with all of your humble heart, not prideful heart.
-
God reads the proud, but he gives grace to the humble. What
-
is humble not the Asian humble? Well, you're so pretty lie today?
-
Nilas today I can make up well, nice dress away alamanna. We always
-
downplay the value ourselves as I don't know why. Somebody told us that you
-
know, if you place yourself then you won't work, so you better why
-
yourself stupid? I don't know. I grew up before. No, no,
-
very the one always discounting meth very good? Yeah, me very good.
-
But geography, sign, virology, everything horrible? Are you? No,
-
there's no humility interesting. The word humble comes from the word humous,
-
which is the same root word as earth and ground, which is what we
-
are made of. Human beings are made from the earth and soil of the
-
ground. I guess why we are called human. Same word Hohomus is earth
-
and ground. That's what we're called human because we're made from the earth of
-
the ground. Humility is the same root word. What is humility is being
-
human, not down players, not like like I bought all. I cannot,
-
I cannot make no no, it's you know what. I'm human.
-
I am just flesh and bones. I am a man, a woman.
-
I'm not God. I need God. I need God in my life.
-
I cannot live a second without God. That's not this, That's not how
-
this life is designed. I am human. Humility is recognizing I'm just a
-
man. I'm just a man. I have weaknesses, I have limitations.
-
Without God's grace, I cannot make it. I need God, so I
-
cannot for a moment think I can do anything without Him. Amen. You
-
will seek me and find me when you seek me with all of your humble
-
heart, a humble heart. Amen. Next is God does not want a
-
hateful heart or a bitter heart. A heart is filled with bitterness and hate
-
that separates us from God, that puts a wedge between us and God when
-
we come to him, and it's full of hate and bitterness and complaints and
-
murmur. No, God wants a honest, a holy heart. Again,
-
When I say holy, I don't just mean like squeaky clean. Holy is
-
set for purpose. Honest means God, this is who I am. There's
-
bitterness, there's hurt, there's pain, But here I am. I'm not
-
hiding. God, will you help me deal with this? Pros eighteen.
-
Pros eight or seventeen says I love those who love me, and those who
-
seek me diligiently will find me. Let me see if you search for me
-
and seek me honestly, honestly. Last week we spoke about Lord. Two
-
weeks ago we spoke a transparency, naked and not a shame. That's how
-
God wants us to be. No point hiding. So if there's beelin us,
-
if there's hurt, there's pain, there's grumble, that's complain, bring
-
it before God and ask God to deal with it. Amen. Third one
-
is a heavy heart. God does not want us to seek him with a
-
heavy heart, but he wants us to seek him with a hungry heart.
-
And this is a this is a picture thing. A hungry heart is a
-
heart that's empty. You're hungry. A heavy heart is a heart that's fool
-
but full of everything else except God. Amen. Not a heavy heart,
-
but a hungry heart. That means a heart that is empty of your stuff,
-
empty of betternness, empty of selfishness, empty of greed, empty of
-
everything out that is not of Him. Because when you have those things it's
-
heavy. But God once say, hungry heart, a heart that wants seem
-
more every week, more every month, more of God, every year,
-
more of God. Amen. Men through six thirty three, seek first the
-
Kingdom of God and His righteousness, above career, above your hobbies, above
-
your ones. Hey, I know I'm stating the obvious, but obvious needs
-
to be stated. Sick first, and then all these things will be added
-
to you. Come before Him with a hungry heart, a heart that wants
-
more of Him. Amen. Last one, you cannot come to God with
-
half your heart, but your whole heart. You will seek me and find
-
Me when you seek Me with all your heart. No double mindedness. I
-
know it's not. It's easy to preach, very hard to live. I
-
preach it. You can agree, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah see
-
God. First we get out here, we go to work, we go
-
back home, we go to school, we go back to our lives and
-
it gets lopsided again. We can't. God has to be most important every
-
decision, every choice, every business decision, every investment decision, every relationship
-
decision, every action, everything God, because you will seek me and you'll
-
find me when you seek me, all your heart, no double mindedness,
-
no half heartness, all for God's glory. It's simple yet difficult. Simple.
-
Ask yourself, is what I'm about to do glorifying to God? Is
-
this decision I'm about to make glorifying to God? No? A lot of
-
Christians like to argue about all the praifhery stuff like, for example, things
-
like ah, Christian should get a tatto anora. We can argue that for
-
centuries when all you have to do is ask yourself, if I do this,
-
will you glorify God? If it will, then do it, no
-
doubt, No doublet my nurse. This is not the issue. Should I
-
listen to rock music or I grew up as a young person. Every week
-
in church I hear pressure kis from the devil drum for you know, remember
-
not the drum for four beat? Is the money for four beats? The
-
money your heart gonna pummelt, you know, heart is pumping in the beat
-
like one two for If that's what you can't live there for four people.
-
I grew up in the environment. But hey, we missed the point.
-
It's how I spend money glorifying to God. It's how I dress glorifying to
-
God. He go by convictioner, It's how I spend my time glorifying to
-
God. That the key is in answering the question is we don't know.
-
I don't know. I feel like glorifying the God love. I don't know.
-
Are you willing to hear a different opinion, to be challenged? Because
-
if it's if it's a if it's a stand there's built on the foundation on
-
the rock of Christ. It shouldn't be it should be able to be challenged
-
and still stand. Right. You know that there's some things that will stand
-
no matter why. Like telling the truth. It's gonna stand because it's a
-
principle. So seek God with all your heart. Means what. There's no
-
no hiding, no tweets and turn no double mindedness, no double standards.
-
No I love God, but I also love me, and sometimes I love
-
me more than God. There's none of that, And I think it's important
-
as we come to the end of the year because oh, new Year's gonna
-
come, new resolution. We're gonna write all days. It's good. Sometimes
-
we laugh about it because I know, out of ten resolution were always only
-
for a few half and then we knock it down. No, it's still
-
good to do a spring clean in Generations. Here we're not here just to
-
see God, here to seek God. Thanks for listening to this message.
