  1. Hey there, you're listening to the Generation's Church podcast. We

  2. pray that the word of God today will challenge, change

  3. and channel you into your God given destiny. Now let's

  4. get started.

  5. Wow, Oh glory to God. Who would have thought we

  6. will make it, make it this far? Really, we recognize

  7. that it's only by His grace, only by his mercy,

  8. his goodness, his faithfulness, that we are here today, really, really, really,

  9. and not just saying this because it's cliche, because it's

  10. important to say, because it's pr to say it.

  11. We really mean it.

  12. Now, if you were if you were behind the scenes,

  13. you were privileged enough to go behind the scenes and

  14. see all the stuff that happens and don't happen and

  15. almost in happen, you recognize that it's God's God and

  16. only God.

  17. Amen.

  18. So can you please join me and give God a

  19. big round on applause. Give God all the praise and glory.

  20. Thank you. Jesus.

  21. We honor you, God, We honor your name above every

  22. other name.

  23. Jesus belifted high.

  24. You are a God of generations, not just generations the church,

  25. but generations the people.

  26. God all over the world. You are our God. We

  27. worship you, We honor you in Jesus name. Amen. Amen.

  28. You might not believe this, but I get more nervous

  29. preaching to my own church than I do other people. Yes,

  30. you might notice it if you follow me to other

  31. places where I preach and you're like, he's more He's

  32. way more relaxed. I don't know why, because maybe I

  33. expect so much more from my own church today.

  34. I don't know why I do. I do this to myself.

  35. I can preach any kind of message, right you wouldn't

  36. You wouldn't even know, uh.

  37. What messages I choose between. Right, you wouldn't know what.

  38. I don't know.

  39. I always pick the hard ones. I pick the hard ones.

  40. Maybe it's just it's important to say so. I have

  41. an important, tough task ahead of me. I feel led

  42. this evening to speak about the church. The church that

  43. is so precious to God, but it's so all misunderstood,

  44. something that is so abused, misuse, manipulated. It's understandable that

  45. all over the world that when you say the church,

  46. so many different images come up, so many different ideas,

  47. so much so that some of us Christians do such

  48. a bad job with the church that some Christians even

  49. today avoid the church let alone those who are not

  50. of Christ.

  51. And I'm speaking the truth? Am I being real?

  52. So it's tough because my job today is to help

  53. you love the church a little bit more.

  54. Amen.

  55. And I feel I'm speaking to people who have been

  56. hurt before rab the wrong way, misunderstood. And I don't

  57. claim to be a perfect church, or perfect pastor or

  58. perfect anything. But we must differentiate the Church and us

  59. human beings that sometimes mess it up. We have to

  60. differentiate that we cannot throw the baby out with the

  61. bath water.

  62. Is that okay?

  63. So I hope, I hope by the end of today's message,

  64. and I hope you'll finish before nine, that we will

  65. love the church more because Jesus loves the church. So

  66. let me start off this way. What did Jesus mean

  67. when he said church? I'm not asking what TD Jake mean.

  68. What's different that it means what somebody else mean, because

  69. we all can mean a lot of things. I think

  70. we want to hear what Jesus said about the church, Amen,

  71. because that's pure, and that's original, that's og. And interestingly,

  72. in the New Testament, or when Jesus was walking the

  73. earth and speaking, he talked a lot about money, by

  74. the way, a.

  75. Lot more about money than anything else. Uh huh.

  76. And we haven't spoken up at money in this church

  77. for a whole one year. But Jesus only used the

  78. word church twice.

  79. Interesting, huh. Jesus himself.

  80. Now we refer to the Book of Acts, chapter two,

  81. chapter four as the first espression of church. That's true.

  82. But Jesus did speak about the church. He did use

  83. the same word use in Hebrews using the New Testament

  84. the same way Ecclesia. Jesus used it only twice. And

  85. I think it's important to look at what Jesus meant

  86. when he said the church. When Jesus said the church,

  87. is this this version that we see today? Or is

  88. the version we see today far or near to what

  89. Jesus meant when he.

  90. Said the church? Are you interested to find out? Amen?

  91. So, whatever Jesus means when he uses the word church

  92. is what I wanted to mean for me, and what

  93. I wanted to mean for you too, if you call

  94. yourself the church or believers or Christians of follows of Christ.

  95. Amen.

  96. So the first time Jesus used the word is in

  97. Matthew chapter sixteen, verse eighteen. And he said this and

  98. I also say to you that you are Peter, and

  99. on this rock I will build My church. Is God Church,

  100. not mine, not yours, not reverend, not archbishop, Jesus church.

  101. Amen. He said I will build my church.

  102. The first time you ever used that word my church,

  103. and the gates of Hell, the gates of Hades, shall

  104. not prevail against it.

  105. This is the first time. Jesus is the word.

  106. And the church that Christ is referring to here is

  107. the universal body of Christ. He's talking about everyone who

  108. calls themselves a believer, not one particular church, not one

  109. particular denomination, not this church that means in that corner

  110. or in that building. The one expression Jesus meant here

  111. the universal Church. The gates of Hell shall not prevail

  112. against this universal church.

  113. Is this humongous body of Christ around the world as

  114. one unit. Amen.

  115. Jesus is not talking about local church, because how can

  116. the gates of hell, where the gates of Hell can

  117. attack one church and cause the leader to fall and

  118. just to disintegrate, but a gase of Hell can possibly

  119. prevail against this one big union, you.

  120. S I'm saying.

  121. So when Jesus said church, is referring to this universal

  122. body of Christ.

  123. I have a feeling. We like that.

  124. Because then we get to say, you know what, I

  125. don't have to be in a building, but I'm still part.

  126. Of the church. And you will be correct, and you.

  127. Can say things like I can stay home and tune

  128. into whatever church I want, because church is not a building,

  129. a program a day, and you will be right because

  130. Jesus did say this is the universal, the Body of Christ.

  131. So when Jesus is church, we must remember he does

  132. refer to way beyond these four walls, way beyond your brand,

  133. way beyond your social media account. Can we get that?

  134. And I think we've got no problem. I think we

  135. kind of like that because that's the one we can

  136. kind of like, hey, you know, even in my office,

  137. I'm church what we like that? And you're right, it

  138. is that. But he used the word church twice. The

  139. first one means universal Body of Christ. Doesn't matter whether

  140. you're Lutheran, Baptist, Methodists or Bigsite Baptists.

  141. Okay, if it's.

  142. In four chapter, four verse six daysis there is one body,

  143. not two, not half. There's one body, only one and

  144. one spirit, just as you were called in one hope

  145. of your calling, One Lord one faith, one Baptist, one

  146. God and Father of all, who is above all and

  147. through all, and in you all. So when you meet

  148. another brother in Christ from a different church and they

  149. sing hymes and you sing hers, you are one body.

  150. They use real one, you use fake one, they use right, BENI,

  151. they use F and N whatever. We are one body, right,

  152. remember that the universal body of Christ. We all belong

  153. to that. But then Jesus used the word again in

  154. Mettage up to eighteen, verse fifteen to seventeen. If you've

  155. been in this church, you've heard this message pach before

  156. one of the most misquoted verses in the Bible of

  157. two or threegether God will be there. Yeah, this is

  158. this is the passage metrige of eighteen. We misquote that

  159. word thinking that that means church. Not really, but he

  160. did use the word church in that context.

  161. He says.

  162. Moreover, if your brother sins against you, so someone wrongs you,

  163. of fend you, offense you things against you, tell him

  164. his fault between you and him alone. So there is

  165. a way to handle offenses. Go to that person directly.

  166. Don't go on Facebook, go on act, go on like treads,

  167. go and like come on go directly e v Jay

  168. you smell. Okay, he doesn't, but okay, someone else does.

  169. God him alone. If he hears you, you have gained

  170. your brother. Wonderful. There is step two. If he doesn't listen,

  171. so how verse sixteen. Let's go, but he will not here.

  172. Take with you one or two more that by the

  173. mouth of two or three bitinesses, everyone may be established.

  174. Verse seventeen. Verse seventeen.

  175. Okay, and if he refuses to hear them, tell it

  176. to the church. Now, pretty sure Jesus does not mean

  177. if mark offense, you tell the whole body of Christ,

  178. Tell the Catholic Pope, tell the mactori whoever, that everyone.

  179. I don't think Jesus meant that. This is a very

  180. practical picture. If your brother sins against you, talk to him,

  181. he doesn't listen. To bring another brother you don't listen.

  182. Tell it to the church, the one you go to,

  183. the one you wake up and get your kids ready

  184. and you go.

  185. You know, you hope that they got the kids sernday.

  186. School, the one you surf at, the one you give

  187. to that local church. So when Jesus said church, he

  188. didn't just mean this universal body of Christ. Therefore, just

  189. stay at home and watch watch you online. I'm still

  190. I'm still fine. He talks about, No, you've got to

  191. be part of a local church, a church set up

  192. where you can do things like that. He uh, sister,

  193. this guy doesn't want to listen. And they know you,

  194. and they're in relationship with you. They're in community, and

  195. we work things out. That local body is that okay?

  196. So when Jesus said church, he men the universal body

  197. of Christ and the local body of Christ. No body

  198. looks at the crescent and say, that's just part of

  199. the moon. You still call it the moon. Yes, so

  200. the local church, which is still a small part we

  201. must remember, just a small part of the body of Christ,

  202. but still the body of Christ. Next, like, please, as

  203. a court Ellen Steeps, say this, for the part that

  204. is visible, the crescent is genuine moon.

  205. Ah, this is a small part, is still genuine. It

  206. is still the moon.

  207. And what is more, it is more, it is actually

  208. though to us, invisibly united with all the rest of

  209. the moon. Similarly, a local Christian congregation is genuine church.

  210. Become visible.

  211. It is body of Christ and invisibly one in Him

  212. with the whole of his body.

  213. Maybe two chim too deep. But basically, the local church

  214. is just as much church as the universal church. We

  215. are the church, and God loves the church. Amen.

  216. And we really must separate from the people who give

  217. church a bad name, and there's plenty of them, and

  218. church the one that Jesus Christ paid his life for

  219. to establish universal local So now let's look at the

  220. first local church in the Book of Acts, chapter two.

  221. Now we can study this and it can be a

  222. twelve week study on the church that God imagined, the

  223. church that got established.

  224. I think it's an interesting study.

  225. Today, I can't do that study because they'll be like nine, ten,

  226. twelve different things we can draw from this. Toe are

  227. just gonna draw three things, he said, Okay, three things.

  228. So the very first local church, what did it look like?

  229. What marked the church?

  230. Then verse forty two of except the two and they

  231. devoted themselves to the apostles, teaching, and the fellowship. I

  232. guess that's where we get the preaching of the Word

  233. is important in the church. From yes, the doctree and

  234. the teaching and to the breaking of bread and the prayers. Yeah,

  235. just the praise together stays together and stuff like that

  236. was forty three and all in some transation, says and fear,

  237. and all came upon every soul, and many wonders and

  238. signs were being done through the apostles. Next slide, and

  239. all who believed, all who called himselves Christians, were together

  240. and had all things in common.

  241. There was unity wonders.

  242. A man, both universally and locally, was forty five, and

  243. they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing. I

  244. sell my own things, and I gave them away to

  245. all anyone who has need. Here you go. Sharing is

  246. carrying My daughter always says to my son, where she

  247. can't get the candy from him cockaw. Sharing is carrying

  248. West forty six and day by day, every single day,

  249. they attended the temple together and breaking break in their home.

  250. So some people describe this way. Church is both temple

  251. and table. We go to the big congregation of the temple,

  252. and then sometimes we have small settings at the table.

  253. It's both. It's not one or the other. They receive

  254. their food with gladness and generous hearts. Can you see

  255. how much we can unpack from the first local church? Oh?

  256. I wish I could do a study today, but we

  257. don't have time. They praising God and having favor with

  258. all the people, and the Lord added to their number.

  259. More and more people join the local church day by day,

  260. those who are being safe. Now, let me show you

  261. another picture of the first local church. Ect Chapter four,

  262. Act Chapter four, vers. Thirty two to thirty five. Now

  263. the material of those who believe were of one hard

  264. one soul. Neither did anyone say that any of the

  265. things he possessed was his own. But they had all

  266. things in common. That is, what's mine is yours, what's

  267. yours is mine, we all share. Wow, what a world

  268. to live in, And with great power. The apostles gave

  269. witness to the reservation of the Lord Jesus, and great

  270. grace was upon them all. Nor was there anyone among

  271. them who lacked. Imagine a world without need?

  272. This was it.

  273. There was no need. Why because everybody met everybody's need.

  274. For all who were possessors of lands or houses sold

  275. them and brought the proceeds of the things that were sold,

  276. and laid them at the apostle's feed, and they distributed to

  277. each as anyone had need. Who amen the first local Church.

  278. This is like a twelve part lesson. But today can

  279. we just talk about three things. What marked the church?

  280. This entity that is so misunderstood, misrepresented, It's real, real.

  281. Some of us has not done a very good job

  282. representing Christ to the world. I'm sorry if I have

  283. ever been represented.

  284. The Church of God.

  285. But God's Church is precious, it's holy, it's needed, it's important.

  286. Amen.

  287. So the first local church. So you gotta ask, why,

  288. of all things, why did not why Jesus he didn't

  289. start a business to save the world. Why didn't he

  290. start a social enterprise? Why didn't he start a cafe?

  291. I don't know.

  292. Of all things, God, in his brilliance, omniscience, omnimportance, he decided,

  293. you know what, this will be my agent.

  294. It's called the church. So what's the church for.

  295. I told you this year that we're gonna stay simple,

  296. let's simplify things. I think church which is for two reasons?

  297. Why Church number one to seek and save the lost.

  298. That's what Jesus came to do. That's what he established

  299. the church for us to continue to do, to seek

  300. and save the loss. Look at Act of the two

  301. Actionapter four, daily people were added to the church. That

  302. means they must be doing something that added people to

  303. the church. It's called evangelism, it's called sharing the good news.

  304. It's God loving your neighbor as yourself. Everything Jesus thought

  305. is so that people can know the good news, which

  306. is Him.

  307. Amen.

  308. So the church that don't seek and save the loss

  309. is lost. The church itself is lost. We must remember this.

  310. We must boil everything down to why the church said

  311. we are not here to make another worship album. Nothing

  312. wrong with that or hope we do that, because my

  313. passion and love doing things like that.

  314. But that's not why we work. Keep the main thing,

  315. the main thing.

  316. And so if you're gonna make an worship album is

  317. to seek and save the loss. If you're gonna print

  318. another T shirt is to save and seek the loss.

  319. If we print like Generations Gobo or something, I don't

  320. know why we will do that. Hopefully you'll be too

  321. sick and save the loss.

  322. Amen.

  323. This is why the church exists Matthew twenty eight, verse

  324. nineteen or twenty. The Great commission that means Jesus commission

  325. these people, the same people who would later go on

  326. to establish the first local church. So they received this

  327. commission and then they went to start except two ex

  328. except the four Amen, go therefore and make disciples of

  329. all the nations, baptizing them the name of the Father,

  330. of the Son of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to

  331. observe all things I've commanded you, And lo I am

  332. with you always, even to the ends of the age.

  333. Amen. This is why we are here.

  334. When we forget this is when we misrepresent the church,

  335. abuse it, mess it up. We turn into some business,

  336. some club, some way to control other people. I know

  337. it's happened. I hope you will never happen here. Hope guarantee,

  338. because I'm human by as long as I can't in

  339. my power to do no one to represent, misrepresent the church,

  340. and misuse the church. Come on, let's remind each other

  341. why we're here to seek and save the loss, the Gospel,

  342. the good News.

  343. Amen.

  344. And secondly, what do we even need a church? Second reason,

  345. to serve one another by loving each other and building

  346. each other up. And this one another we mean Christians.

  347. So the first one tells us that's the world out there,

  348. that is Jesus. The second one tells us that we

  349. are to love each other because Jesus said, by our

  350. love for each other, they will know.

  351. I think it.

  352. What's Gandhi, wou say, I got no problem with Jesus,

  353. I got problems with Christians? What a bad testimony we

  354. should reverse?

  355. There? Come on?

  356. So only two reasons why we exist? To sick and

  357. save the loss, to serve one another. How do we

  358. serve one another? Love and build each other up?

  359. Amen?

  360. Emphasis four, Verse eleven to sixteen says, and Jesus God

  361. himself gave some to be apostles, some profitts. So we

  362. talked about, you know, people finding their fit. All gift

  363. things need to work together.

  364. Amen.

  365. We need all colors, all give things. EVANGELI his pastor's teachers.

  366. Why for the equipping of the Saints church is here

  367. to equip you.

  368. And not the pastor? Do the work? You do the work, Saints.

  369. You do the work.

  370. You go out there to your marketplace, and you sick

  371. and save the loss. And that's why it's important that

  372. when you come back, it's like a petrol station.

  373. You get filled.

  374. Yeah, thank you can go along haul. This system has

  375. got to work. You cannot come into the church and

  376. get better and crush and go all thead and expect

  377. to heal everybody else.

  378. Right, So it's got to work.

  379. It's got to work the church, we have to serve

  380. one another, blill each other up, and ify each other,

  381. equip each other. Then send you out to do the

  382. main thing, seek and save the loss. We can talk

  383. about a million different ways to seek and save the loss.

  384. The cost, the message is the same, the method is.

  385. Varied.

  386. Next verse thirteen, till we all come to unity of

  387. the faith. So that's what church is for, to equip

  388. you go sick and save the loss.

  389. The better we serve.

  390. Each other, the better we love each other, The better

  391. we bring each other up, the better we.

  392. Sick and save the world. Amen.

  393. The power is all it's like, it's how it's supposed

  394. to work. One part mess up and it's falls apart.

  395. I think you can read the rest basically talking about

  396. like we are one knit together. Someone's the right hand,

  397. someone's the left hand. Some of the legs so some

  398. get us walking moving. Some people's job in churches to

  399. remind us. They you know, they dig the ears, some

  400. of the eyes.

  401. They see her.

  402. Hey, we all have a part to play. No one's less,

  403. no one's more. So I want to share. It's close

  404. the church as far as I can see. The first

  405. local church I can see many things, at least twelve things.

  406. While share three, what is the church marked by? When

  407. you look at me or you look at someone, how

  408. do you know the Indian? Or how do you know

  409. they are Chinese? How do you know their men? But

  410. this the must be very clear marks. How does someone

  411. know you're the church. I'm not talking about that version

  412. the the pastor embezzil the people's money, the pastor slept

  413. around the leaders.

  414. Not the version the one that Jesus intended. Amen three.

  415. S number one.

  416. The church, the first loculture was marked by the Savior.

  417. You know them by the person they worshiped. And Savior

  418. tells you that it's about salvation. It's about seeking and

  419. saving the loss, about evangelism. People were being saved added

  420. to the church. That was the mark of the first

  421. local church. If you see a church just playing club,

  422. enjoying themselves, not getting out there, not getting uncomfortable to

  423. see and say the laws, that's not the church God intended.

  424. Amen.

  425. The first locuature was marked by the Savior. There was

  426. Jesus all over it. They did what Jesus did, They

  427. preached what Jesus preach, and the evidence was salvation. God

  428. was adding to the church. Amen, God knows which church

  429. will be responsible when he does. Add to it, Why

  430. would he want his sheep to go somewhere that he

  431. knows will be neglected.

  432. So let's not be that. Let's be a good well

  433. remember well when they come to feed. I like this statement.

  434. I didn't come up with it.

  435. I wish I did, but he says here, talk to

  436. God about your neighbors and talk to your neighbors about God.

  437. Talk to God about your neighbors, and talk to your

  438. neighbors about God. It's a good mantra to live by.

  439. Every day we do this. The church's marks so litmus tests.

  440. Is this church marked by the Savior? Do people see

  441. Jesus in us? And is there evidence? Are people getting saved?

  442. Are people finding hope and salvation and direction and purpose

  443. which can only be found in Jesus? Or if this

  444. does not glorify Jesus, does not lift him up, does

  445. not glorify him, does not preach him, then we ourselfs

  446. are lost.

  447. The Savior.

  448. The next two slightly harder, but it's all over the

  449. accept two fall.

  450. Okay.

  451. The first localtore is marked by selflessness and sacrifice.

  452. M hm.

  453. Not very sexy words. But it's all over Act chapter two.

  454. I mean, what kind of people say, uh, you can

  455. have my house, you can have my car.

  456. Okay, they didn't have cars. You can have my cow.

  457. Take it. You need something, take it. That's selflessness, that's sacrifice.

  458. It's not very popular, but I can't dilute it. I

  459. cannot minimize it. The Church is marked by selflessness. And

  460. it's hard to preach this because we live in a

  461. world that glorifies self. Yes, even in the Christian world,

  462. we do. And it's not bad. It's just misplaced in

  463. the name of caring for yourself, which is good, which,

  464. by the way, is not the same as self love.

  465. I think self care is very different than self love.

  466. And I feel like because, for example, I've been church

  467. circle for a long long time. I have seen abuse,

  468. I have seen manipulation, I have seen control. I have

  469. been maybe sometimes privy to be part of it, sometimes

  470. recipient of it, over so many years, and I can

  471. understand why someone might say, you know what, I want

  472. to have nothing to do with this.

  473. I'm a Christian. I know have to come to church.

  474. I'll sing the songs, I'll pay the tithe, I'll listen

  475. to the word nothing more. Please do not ask me

  476. to invest myself because I'll get hurt, I'll get disappointed,

  477. someone will fail me, I'll get cheated. I don't go

  478. to that again. And I can understand, but I must,

  479. as a pastor be responsible to tell you. The church

  480. that God imagined and birth is marked by selflessness.

  481. Christians don't make decisions.

  482. Based on I am number one.

  483. Yet, No that.

  484. One can today movie you're here, God is number one.

  485. We can't do church while being selfless, being selfish, self centered.

  486. I just can't.

  487. Every single word in the Bible, love one another, edify

  488. each other, forgive, everything's gonna do with somebody else, and

  489. giving and sharing.

  490. Amen, are you okay? And sacrifice.

  491. The church is built on sacrifice and marked by sacrifice, people, sacrifice,

  492. officially giving.

  493. I've been consistent. I hope, I don't mind speaking. I've

  494. been consistent since day one.

  495. When I say self the church, I really don't mean

  496. self within the four walls, like oh, be a be

  497. a broadcast person, be a key bodies.

  498. This is one way.

  499. When I say self, I do mean serving a marketplace,

  500. be a boss, be a good boss. Yes, that's stuff

  501. like that too. But when I say stuff like that.

  502. I also don't mean then don't sup in church. No,

  503. it's like that's not saying oh water, No, you need both.

  504. You need both. You need the universal body of Christ

  505. and the local body of Christ.

  506. And the local body of.

  507. Christ is marked by selflessness and sacrifice. There's no other

  508. way to do this. I know he's scary. Oh no,

  509. it's past the ending, going down that road. He's gonna

  510. take all my time. No, the church can't take all

  511. your time. You know this because you you will have

  512. the power to block your dates in pranding center, who

  513. has the power you? You brooke like, oh yeah, you

  514. ain't controlling your time. So don't please please don't say.

  515. That just took my time. They just cannot do it. It's

  516. no way. What is such? What is such? Some machine

  517. that controls your email? You do it.

  518. That we can have poor leadership, weak leadership, many politive

  519. leaders right guilt trip you make you feel, Yeah, that

  520. can all happen. Please don't say that just took my time.

  521. You block all your plans.

  522. Center.

  523. You say, I'm I'm dating my wife tonight. I cannot

  524. come to this meeting. That's all okay. I just want

  525. to put it back to you. You are in control

  526. of that, really you do. No one's gonna take your

  527. time that you don't want.

  528. To give amen another famous words, famous last words? Famous

  529. words are you church? Not?

  530. Just don't feel like I don't feel like I'm going

  531. to check because I want to anymore. I have to

  532. la better, don't go la. Hey, you know I don't

  533. feel like going to school too. I don't feel like

  534. going to work. Also by your personal to manipulate you.

  535. You have the maturity you tell yourself.

  536. I have to go. I'm responsible. I've got mouths to

  537. feed my right.

  538. Or another one ah now serving a church, I feel

  539. like WORKLA, feel like work ready, no more joy, no pression.

  540. It feels I work. Okay. How about when work fuse?

  541. I work?

  542. Don't go to work? Yeah, boss, work fuse I work?

  543. Not pression anymore?

  544. Not coming. We can't.

  545. We can't separate church and the concepts of sacrifice and selflessness.

  546. Just can't. Just can't.

  547. I just want to remind you, actually, the power is

  548. in your hand. No one can take your time from you.

  549. I think, as far as we are concerned, in this years,

  550. we have tried to protect time and like I'm not

  551. used to it no, like I got three week nights,

  552. not not this year, la last year.

  553. Right, it's like, hey free huh, I'm not iced to it.

  554. But we've tried.

  555. We have tried, but I can't guarantee you that we

  556. will always be like this. Ten years from now, the

  557. sick and save the loss with yourself one another. One

  558. day there will be marriage courses law, there will be

  559. like pre marriage counseling law.

  560. Who's gonna do all that? You'll be funeral in weeks long?

  561. Have to do one.

  562. So we have been responsible. It has to be a choice.

  563. I must understand. This is God's Church, and God's shirch

  564. cannot be separated from the main thing which is here

  565. seek and save the lost. I agree with you. We

  566. don't need one hundred meetings to do that. If there

  567. can be done in two meetings, sure, but don't avoid

  568. sacrifice and selflessness.

  569. Amen. I saw this.

  570. I saw this quote somewhere on Instagram or Facebook, I remember,

  571. and then in some of you before we have seen

  572. it as well. It's it goes something at this activity

  573. does not necessarily mean intimacy. I think I added a wait.

  574. Necessarily that the means that church is famous for this.

  575. We are busy, busy, busy. We think that because we're busy,

  576. we're doing God some big favor. W I mean fifteen minutries. No,

  577. I must be very holy. I got nine positions in

  578. church even more holy. No, no, no, don't make the mistake.

  579. Activity does not necessarily mean intimacy. That's not Just because

  580. you got ten positions doesn't mean you're much closer to

  581. God than another person.

  582. It doesn't mean that. But hey, can I also caution

  583. the next lineup?

  584. This is why I added neither does inactivity necessarily mean intimacy.

  585. If activity doesn't mean Timothy, let's let me do nothing.

  586. You do nothing with your wife and see how clos

  587. are you gonna get your wife? Don't talk, don't do

  588. the things that merry people do. Okay, So activity does

  589. not mean intimacy. Don't make the mistake just because you're

  590. busy you're close to God. No, no, no, no, but hey, hey,

  591. the alternative is not inactivity. Oh then I keep myself

  592. free so that God can speak.

  593. Let me give you a better version. I think.

  594. Intimate activity and intimate inactivity means intimacy. Whether you do

  595. or don't do it has to be intimate. God did

  596. not this math altogether. Someone had to prepare the ah.

  597. But it's it's knowing when. It's knowing when to move

  598. forward and when to pause, when to abide, when to move,

  599. when to have activity, and when to pull back. That's

  600. the key, not one way or the other. I don't

  601. know what Chris is always like one way or the other.

  602. Richard Hughes song. Okay, elevation all the way.

  603. Why not.

  604. We tend to do that? No, I think it's a

  605. better version.

  606. Intimate activity, and intimate inactivity means intimacy. I think we

  607. should learn that both require sacrifice. Amen, Jesus loves the church.

  608. If he s five, five says this husband loves your

  609. wife's how what's the picture or the picture is this?

  610. Just as Christ also loved the church and gave himself

  611. for her. Christ gave everything for this thing he birth

  612. called the church. And if Jesus loves this thing, I

  613. think we should too. So the question is will we

  614. love the church? But pastor is hard because I've been

  615. hurt it. Faster is hard because I can't trust anymore.

  616. Pastor.

  617. I don't know where my money is going to, so

  618. I'm not giving a cent. But faster I want you

  619. to fix the econ holiday, then if I do business

  620. your post know you're distracted what you're doing business, you

  621. are the church because you have to fix that coon man,

  622. just joking, but you get you get the economy right?

  623. Get well, we love the church. Well, the church.

  624. Always haves the Savior and what the Savior cares about,

  625. which is the salvation of people. At the core of

  626. what we do, Amen, whether it's activity or inactivity, is

  627. so that more can come to know the Lord.

  628. Amen.

  629. Sometimes too many events doesn't mean more people come to

  630. do a lot. Yeah, I get that. Sometimes one on

  631. one works way better than some big time all the call.

  632. I get that too. That's why I do a lot

  633. of one once. But let's let's learn both intimate activity

  634. and intimate inactivity. But let's also not be afraid to

  635. be selfless and be willing to sacrifice.

  636. Amen.

  637. What we are doing every single day is also sacrificed.

  638. Wake up early, we go to this thing called the

  639. company we work. It's all sacrifice. So I don't think

  640. any of us only convincing that it is sacrificed and

  641. selflessness that builds anything, family, organization, business, company, sports team.

  642. I'm just saying, hey, I think God's Church.

  643. God's church again, not the one where the leader fell

  644. and sinned and manipulated.

  645. I know that's that too. But God's Church deserves our love. Amen.

  646. Whole bunch of scripture tells us that, you know, okay,

  647. no time to shad them more. But Romans twelve, Romans fifteen,

  648. you can read. We are one body, one Christ. We

  649. are individual members of one another. The Bible tells us

  650. to be kindly affectionate to one another. The Bible tells

  651. us to be patient with one another. All of these

  652. things there's always one another. That means we need each other.

  653. We cannot be an island. You can't love one another

  654. just by your bit side alone.

  655. Lie. Amen.

  656. Say okay, the church, the church, the church that Christ

  657. paid for, Christ died for, shed is blood for this

  658. church needs to return.

  659. To its main thing, seek and save the loss, serve

  660. one another. Amen.

  661. And you can't do this without a focus on the savior,

  662. selflessness and sacrifice.

  663. Amen. Amen. All right, shall we about his close the eyes?

  664. Hallelujah, hallelujah. May I ask that you take a moment

  665. right now to kind of like put in a little

  666. imaginary tomorometer spirit your thermometer into your heart and kind

  667. of gage, how on fire are you for God's God's Church?

  668. And if you think that there's been too many disappointments,

  669. too many hurts, too many maipulations, all these bad things

  670. in the church, let's reverse that.

  671. Let's love more, let's forgive more. Let's let's let's be different. Amen.

  672. Maybe maybe if you really have to, you can blame

  673. that church, But don't blame the church that Christ shed

  674. blood fall. That's still the agent God design and put

  675. on this earth to share the good news.

  676. Amen. So what would to a moment to read?

  677. Has your heartgorne a little coder towards God's Church? Is

  678. it getting a little warmer? This is really really hot

  679. right now? Where are we at? Can we ask God

  680. to look into our hearts? Search our hearts right now?
