  1. Hello, and welcome to the Generation's Church Podcast. We're so excited to have

  2. you here today. It is our prayer that God's word will inspire and help

  3. you grow in your faith. Now let's get right into it. And by

  4. extension, I wanted to thank all of you for giving me this opportunity today

  5. to share with you, right, to share with you a little bit about

  6. God's word. To go through the Bible. It's going to be exciting.

  7. When I was paying it, I know I'm not a good preacher. So

  8. what I did was I spend a lot of Bible verse. Yes, I

  9. spend it so you'll be confused and not question me. Okay, all right,

  10. pass And is preaching in johor in Cavalry. Right, let's keep it

  11. in prayer as we also commit this time in prayer. Cool, let's pray.

  12. But I thank you the Lord. You're a good God. And I

  13. pray as we dive into your word this evening, I pray a Lord,

  14. your word goes forth and not returned. White Love Father. I also pray

  15. with our blessing to be upon passer Andy, that Lord you use him mightily,

  16. the Lord as he preaches this church in Joho, that many will come

  17. to know you and they will love your la Father. So I pray and

  18. I ask the Lord, you take good care of us. You cover us

  19. our father in Jesus name Amen. In the span of two minutes, I

  20. changed my voice many times. That's sound check. Okay, now this is

  21. all right. But let me start with a story. Okay, just just

  22. you know I'm the epic Eye, so I spreaker. I'll start with a

  23. story about myself. Now. My name is kanish I am. I'm married

  24. to a beautiful wife called Kaitlyn. Yes, that's right. I attend G

  25. six, I lead six, and we had yesterday, right, so it's

  26. it's it's really nice. Like the GG came around, they prayed. They

  27. wanted to say that carnage, you do well tomorrow and stuff like that.

  28. So it felt good. Okay nice. I'm also part of the past all

  29. team, so just building a little bit of credibility. Now, when I

  30. was very preparing my message, I shed around just to make sure I'm not

  31. like Pa song Loud. Okay. Now I am quite old out right thirty

  32. four ready, So I learned that I'm a mixed parentage. Okay. My

  33. dad is an Indian. My mom is a Chinese, so they call me

  34. a Chindian, right. But the thing is, I only found out that

  35. I'm a Chindian, or rather, I only found out that my mom is

  36. a Chinese when I was seventeen. Yes, prior to seventeen, I always

  37. thought that I'm a like Indian Indian like Okay, now this is not a

  38. racist thing, so just it's it's my life. I'm just sharing, Okay.

  39. So prior to seventeen years old, you know, in school, and

  40. I've always thought that I am I'm an Indian Indian. Okay, now I'll

  41. tell you why. So my mom is this very fair looking lady, right,

  42. but she has an Indian name, Like to me, how much more

  43. Indian can there be? Like Indian name? Okay, Tana like me Bawani

  44. you you can't hear more Indian? And that so Indian name. And then

  45. she speaks ta Mail right like this very fair looking lady but she speaks tar

  46. Mail. So yes, wow, okay, mom, she speaks time mails.

  47. So you know you grow up right, you're a young boy. You

  48. see Chinese people speaking Chinese, they're Chinese Indians speaking Indian people speaking Tamil there

  49. Indian right as simple as that we grow up a simple life. So uh,

  50. there's number two. Number three, my grandparents or rather my mom's parents,

  51. they're Indians. I mean you can't go wrong with that, lah.

  52. Okay, that means my grandpa, my grandma, they are all Indians.

  53. There's number three, right, so my mom has to be an Indian.

  54. Okay. Number four, which is the most important thing. She has this

  55. great dog. Yes, so that's four points of why my mom is an

  56. Indian. And then number five she's very fair. So I have eighty percent

  57. very sure validated that she's an Indian, and then that twenty percent doesn't matter.

  58. So I grew up in this environment. Okay. Every time there's this

  59. what do you call it? Report cut day? Right in school? Report

  60. cut day? And then my mom will come to school. Then my friends

  61. and my teachers, wait, that's your mama. Why is so fair?

  62. Is she a Chinese or what? And I defended my mom. I said,

  63. no, she's Indian and here's four reason why. So I had to

  64. defend her and defended her. I think too, pibgla teachers day, La.

  65. I don't know if you can relate with that. Hopefully you can,

  66. Okay, So that kind of thing. Okay, my friends had to ask

  67. me, and I defended my mom. And then at fourteen years old,

  68. So I'm fourteen years old. This year, at fourteen years old, I

  69. asked my dad because I want to know, right, I asked my dad.

  70. Dad all my friends, my friends are saying that mom is a Chinese.

  71. I want to know too, what do you think? So my dad

  72. answered, this is a very sensitive topic. If you ask your mom,

  73. you know, you know, she might cry, she break down. So

  74. my dad told me that that is Ketler. So I don't I didn't ask

  75. my mom. Fourteen years old, I didn't ask my mom. Okay,

  76. but let me before I continue my story, let me show you my mom

  77. first, how she looked like, and then you tell me whether she is

  78. what she is. Okay, that's my mom right there. Okay, that

  79. red dog, but purely anyone who says she's a Chinese lab Okay, that's

  80. that's me thirty cages ago okay. And then yes, because because my because

  81. my brother came you schues you there, I put him in a photo.

  82. That's my brother. Because my sister didn't come cheest you there, I remove

  83. her. Okay, So this this other guy is my dad, and he

  84. always say, why you want to make your hair so nice? One day

  85. you'll be like that. I bought that like Mark Chau. Okay, so

  86. I'm preparing okay, but that's the thing. So so seventeen said okay.

  87. From seventeen years oldkay I completed SPM. Okay graduated from SPM. There's this

  88. bilogitition where we had party. Okay, like celebrated finish finish school and orders

  89. to we had party. The party is over and then I went into the

  90. can and my mom, my mom fetched me. You know, my mom

  91. was fetching me around and my sister was there. So I asked my mom

  92. mom, I'm a doubt now, right, a doubt. I think I

  93. deserve to know at this point because everyone is asking me, I just want

  94. to clarify because you know, you know, it's really important to me to

  95. know. I just want to know my Indian and my chini in some of

  96. you might thing is a small matter, right, it's to me his identity,

  97. right, I want to know. I really want to know because I

  98. mixed with a lot of friends. Naturally, the girls that I tried to

  99. pick up their Chinese girls, and one girl rejected me. Because I'm an

  100. Indian, said, But she literally said that I can't get together with you

  101. because you know you are Indian. Da da da da da Okay, fright

  102. whatever, Okay, So at seventeen, I want to know, so okay,

  103. I asked my mom and then she started to show the face not like

  104. worry, you know, said but my mom said, I can't believe you

  105. don't know, untie today I'm a Chinese. Then my sister is like,

  106. you didn't know everyone knows me. At seventeen years old, I found out

  107. that I'm a mixed. So I found out my mom was a Chinese.

  108. So she went back home. She took out the whole document. Okay,

  109. this is my icy Wow, okay, I'm not put up one my grandfather's

  110. name. And then she took out a birth so Chinese. Near the surname

  111. is called Yo y e O Hesh. I don't know if she's related to

  112. mister Yo Pocona. But oh my gosh, let me tell you something.

  113. My life at seventeen years old turn around. Such a how what a man

  114. share kanesh? Yes, take that ex girlfriend. So the vibr says,

  115. blessed the poor and spirit, for they will enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

  116. Okay. Now today we'll cover the Sermon on the Mound. Okay. This

  117. Sermon on the Mound is basically Jesus preaching, Okay, one of his His

  118. ministry started right in Matthew chapter five. So Jesus was preaching to a multitude

  119. of people. And if you read using the NKGV version of the Bible,

  120. I don't know how peopel still use that physical thing. I think even in

  121. the app it's also funded in red. Okay, the NKGV want special.

  122. Everything that Jesus said is fonted, so you can differentiate. Now, if

  123. you turn your Bible to matt five, six and seven, right, you'll

  124. realize the entire thing is in rade because Jesus is like preaching, this is

  125. his sermon okay, in a mound. That's why it's called Sermoney on the

  126. Mound. Okay. So we want to do that. And today as I

  127. share this with you, we want to go through and uncover three things,

  128. hopefully at the end of this message. Right. Number one, we want

  129. to uncover the audience to whom Jesus is speaking to during this time when he's

  130. preaching. Number two, what is your response to it? And number three,

  131. What is this whole message that Jesus is talking about. What is the

  132. point? What is what is the ending? What's the goal of him doing

  133. this? What's the end? The end point lone? Okay, So this

  134. three will uncover throughout this time of us discovering and going through the world of

  135. God. Is that cool? Okay? Bol air all right? But to

  136. understand this sermon on the Mound starting from Matter chapter five, we have to

  137. have a little bit of context to why Jesus is preaching what he's preaching in

  138. Matthew five. So let's look at context first. Okay, the context we

  139. have to go back to the time of Malachai. Okay. So Malca is

  140. like the end of the Old Testament writer the last book. So what happened

  141. in the Book of Malachai and then what happened in Matthew and the events that

  142. happened in the book I met you that Jesus said what he said. So

  143. in the bodd of Malachai is four chapters, right, and I would just

  144. quickly summarize this part because the message is not about what's happened in Malachai,

  145. is about the message of the five. So in the Book of Malaca.

  146. If you read, okay, so very short chapter in Malachai, chapter one,

  147. it talks about God expressing his love for his people. Okay, God

  148. expressing his love for his people. Now, Malacai is written in a way

  149. that's very unique. Okay, Marca is written a way as way unique where

  150. God used Malachai to deliver his message. And the message is delivered in a

  151. way where Malaca is saying, because you said this to God, God responded

  152. this way. And because God responded this way, you responded this way.

  153. And because you responded this way, God responded this way. So if you

  154. read book of Malachi is like that, it's like that. You have to

  155. see what people say, what God responded to that, what people say to

  156. that, what God responded to that. And so in chapter one you see

  157. that God expressed his love for his people, people Israel. And then you

  158. go to chapter two where you see the people of Israel. You know,

  159. God is sadden by the people. There. Sadden said because of the things

  160. the people said about God. And let's look at at verse thing. He

  161. says, yeah, you have varied the Lord with your words. And then

  162. they say, but you say, how have you wearied them? And he

  163. says, every who does evil in good. Evil is good in the sight

  164. of the Lord. So during the time of Malachi right, the people alally

  165. say, Wow, God, so many evil is happening, and you think

  166. delight in it. You never stop anything from happening. You let evil happen.

  167. It's the kind of questions that we asked today, or so right,

  168. why does evil happen? Oh God, why do you allow this? Oh

  169. God, why do you allow that? So it's sadden God in this part.

  170. So where is the God justice? So they said in God? And

  171. then you go to Malachi chapter three, where they not only say harsh words

  172. towards God, they stop serving. They stop serving. Okay, your words

  173. have been hard against me, says the Lord. But you say, have

  174. you spoken against you? And you have said it is vain to serve God?

  175. And you know why they say that? They say, what is the

  176. profit of our keepings? Is charged? Or of walking as in morning before

  177. the part of horse, and now we call it arrogant, bless evil to

  178. us not only prosper But they put God to test and they escape. So

  179. this guy in Israel I say, what's the point of serving you? Because

  180. all the bad guys do bad things and they get to get away with it.

  181. So as the point of serving you. So this is in the times

  182. of Malachi, all right. So after all that conversations and Malachi delivering that

  183. kind of message to the people, they ended with one rather one sentence in

  184. chapter four, God says, okay, whatever it is. In chapter four

  185. he says, remember the law of Moses, my servant, which I commanded

  186. him in horror for all Israel with the status and judgment. So after all

  187. that, God's so called final sentence through Malachi, which is the last book

  188. of the Bible recorded, says, remember the law of Moses. Now let's

  189. fast forward, okay to Matthew chapter five, because now we're talking to a

  190. generation of people hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of years after what happened to Malach

  191. in the event in the book, Guy, you follow, okay. So

  192. now Jesus is speaking to a generation of people where the ancestors once believe in

  193. God and then later rebel. Je is speaking to a generation where the ancestors

  194. had men of God, the ancestors messengers, had profits, and the suddenly

  195. no more for a very long time, no more until the events that you've

  196. seen about the Matthew for generation where they heard about God. You know,

  197. they heard about this prophecy. They heard about the coming of Messiah. They

  198. hear, but after hundreds and hundreds of years, nothing happened until the event

  199. that happened in marriage of the Five. So Jesus is speaking to these growl

  200. of people, and he said, blessed are the point spirit, for that

  201. is the kingdom. So let's take a look at this. Why why did

  202. Jesus say this? Who are the poor in spirit? These are the people

  203. who are hung on to a truth that they do not know existed. To

  204. say, hah, because why the messaging from the time of Malachi hundreds and

  205. hundreds of years, you know, it got weaker. Some who stood strong

  206. didn't know what happened. Doubt have people around them ridiculing them all that until

  207. the time of Matthew. Right, So those who hung on to the truth,

  208. those who hung on to the truth, remembering what Malachi said in chapter

  209. four, which is remember the law of Moses. So Jesus is essentially telling

  210. this group of people, Wow, point Spirit, you shall enter the Kingdom

  211. of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn moren one. More Over, the

  212. sin of Israel. Blessed are those who continuously pray for Israel. More Over,

  213. the sin of Israel. People have turned their face away from God.

  214. Blessed are you because you mourn and you will have comfort. Right, blessed

  215. are the meek? What is mean and all this is in chapter five?

  216. You say, blessed are these blessed as this? Blessed as this a whole

  217. generation of people who came after the uncovering of what happened in the Book of

  218. Malachi. Blessed are the mink, So what is me? People who are

  219. faithful to believe in the truth despite being ridiculed, People who are like uh

  220. huh, People who are you know, humble or down to earth, despite

  221. people telling them they're wrong, and say, I don't think I'm wrong.

  222. I read the Law of Moses. So blessed are the mink, and they

  223. shall inherit the earth. Those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for many,

  224. many, many many years, and they shall be filled. Those who are

  225. point hard, right, blessed the point hard? What's that? I think?

  226. In seven? Yeah, so why peoint hard? Because again in the

  227. Book of Malachi, let me see here in a bood Marachai God spoke about

  228. people who stopped giving their tithe. In fact, God called them roberts.

  229. God's spoke about men who stopped their wives. So now Jesus say, blessed

  230. are those who are pure in hard who kept the law of Moses. They

  231. shall see God. Now. So if you read this, uh, Matthew,

  232. chapter five, these twelve verses from one to twelve, right, I

  233. think number twelve says blessed are those who are persecuted. You know you're blessed.

  234. Okay, So if you read this in the context of what happened in

  235. the ball like I think, and I really believe, you will read this

  236. in a new light. Because Jesus when he preached this, he had to

  237. address a very important thing he's talking about that there's a theme here, right.

  238. He addressed faithfulness. Jesus addressed faithfulness before anything else. You say,

  239. it's a sermon, right, Jesus preaching. He didn't even start with how

  240. to pray, He didn't even start with how to fast. He needed to

  241. address faithfulness that despite hundreds of years and this by everyone is saying and ridiculing

  242. your faith, you remain faithful and therefore you are blessed. So we talked

  243. about the three things that you want to uncover. Right. Number one is

  244. the audience to whom Jesus is speaking to. Well, let's not just look

  245. at the Jews in Jerusalem. What about us? What about us? Two

  246. thousand years after the death of Jesus. The question here is how are we

  247. doing with our faithfulness? Who? Actually it's quite hot and maybe it's my

  248. checket. Yes, how are we doing with our faithfulness? You know,

  249. maybe many years ago and this probably you know, as I was writing this,

  250. I was reflected upon myself many many years ago. You know, you

  251. get called right, you know, you get called like and God get your

  252. promise right, and God said that you do this, and you do that,

  253. and and asoteries to try and you get these, and you get that.

  254. Some sometimes God speaks to you in different ways right as you pray.

  255. But after many many years and many prayer meetings and many church attendance, you

  256. feel like nothing change. So quite similar right the time wala kai to hear

  257. the time of the death of Jesus to now how are we doing with our

  258. faithfulness? Okay, let's move on. So what else he talked about in

  259. the Someone on the Mound? So let's move on. Now, you see,

  260. you see how Gius does it right. So he has chapter five,

  261. he has chapter six, and he has chapter seven. Wow, so every

  262. preacher copila, I got three points of our salvation. Yeah, chapter one,

  263. let's talk about Yeah, so preachers at the copy and then you see

  264. how how preachers that I wouldn't call myself pachure up. But if you see

  265. a consistent see how people prepare messages. Right, there's always like point one

  266. and then if you complete point one, you go to point too, and

  267. point to are reinforced point one. He compliments one another and then you go

  268. to pointy stuff like that. Right, So when Jesus was doing his sermon

  269. right, he had to start. He started with faithfulness. Now let's take

  270. a look at what follows after. Okay, after that, After that,

  271. you will see a whole chunk of chapter five, six, and seven of

  272. Jesus teaching Christians how to live their life. Right. You will see that

  273. he talks about how do we pray? He talks about how do we fast?

  274. And then he talks about treasures on earth were us. He talks about

  275. don't worry, right, and not just talking about it. He teaches principles

  276. about worrying. He teaches principles about charging people right. He teaches us principles

  277. about how do we deal with enemies if someone box you and you tell your

  278. cheek and you know. So it's like multiples are chapters and Jesus teaching and

  279. teaching and teaching. So if you remain faithful, which is probably the point

  280. one. If you remain faithful, what's next? Right, Because it is

  281. not just enough to be faithful and knowing that there's a God, because then

  282. just move on, right, It's also being faithful to His word, knowing

  283. what's being spoken by God. It's important to know the word of God.

  284. And this is my encouragement to all of us that I hope we do not

  285. fall into the trap of so good at being a Christian and not be a

  286. Christian. You have that or you've seen this light. Don't just be good

  287. at being a Christian. Be a Christian? And what does that mean?

  288. Read a word of God. So a lot of people, and I think

  289. I also speak for myself because growing up right in youth service fifteen sixteen years

  290. old, we are very good with you know, we we have this hunger,

  291. a hunger like waw, I want to go church. This is a

  292. group. I just want to be with the church community. It's awesome.

  293. I want to serve. I want to do this fifteen, sixteen, seventeen

  294. years old. And then you go to campus and like, oh, let's

  295. set the ministry and let's do everything you can for Jesus. And then when

  296. we when we grow it out right, actually things things start to like not

  297. really you know, it kind of like goes slower downwards by so doubts.

  298. Sometimes we are we are very good, and we know the right thing to

  299. say. Wow much of Yes, we know the right things to do,

  300. we know the right Christian jargon. We know how to encourage a nice way,

  301. right, we know how to build a good fassan and everyone will look

  302. up to you. But you can't just stop there. You have to know

  303. the word of God. You're following me. And why this is important is

  304. because when you don't learn and read the word of God, you let other

  305. people's theology, it takes your life. I think I'll cover that a little

  306. bit more later. Okay, you let other people's theology, it takes your

  307. life. So Jesus is saying that, yeah, faithfulness, great, Okay,

  308. now step up, read the Word of God, understand, understand and

  309. live it out. Not generations is quite special because in a way Passa and

  310. D has started this whole thing about everyone needing to explore and read and even

  311. challenge the preachers and speakers. Right so past one time, I think last

  312. year he spoke about being like the Burian. You don't remember that message,

  313. you can check it out in I wanted to say, MPG, you can

  314. check it out in our podcast. Okay, okay, yes, feel like

  315. appearance? So what are the periods? Appearances are basically a group of people,

  316. a group of Jews right at the time in I think somewhere yeah,

  317. later we go through an X ray. So a grow of people who who

  318. Paul and Silence came to this group. But Paul and Silence they are very

  319. prominent figure. They were a prominent figure in that time. So they came

  320. to the girl people called Epperiance and then they preach, right, they preach,

  321. and they tell them the scripture, and then the Beeriance were like,

  322. ah, great, good word. And then they go back and then they

  323. opened the Bible. And what they did was they tried to cross check.

  324. But Tolgany is it correct what you said? Is it in the scripture?

  325. So there's not a bearance you hear everything that's being prett here. Please don't

  326. stop here, go back, read, learn the word of God. And

  327. they asked during the talk, things are that right? So next chapter seventeen,

  328. verse ten, the brothers immediately sent Paul and Silence away by night to

  329. Perial and when they arrived, they went into the Jewish synagogue. Now,

  330. these Jews, which is a Barian, because the imperial were more noble than

  331. those in Thessalonica, they received the Word with all eagerness, examining the scriptures

  332. daily to see if these things were true. Now, why is it important

  333. for us to understand and read the word of God and know the word of

  334. God? Okay, Because after Jesus talks about faithfulness, he shares about living

  335. life as a Christian. He talks about hey, ask sick and not right

  336. if you don't know what to do, ask if you don't know where to

  337. go, sick, if you don't have what you have. Now that's stuff

  338. like that, right, So these are like men Tachapter seven stuff. Okay.

  339. So Jesus is like, you know, leading one point to another,

  340. and he wants to come to one final point, which is the end of

  341. his message. So you see where he's going. Faithfulness, Great, read

  342. the Word of God. Great? Why because and this is Jesus is towards

  343. the end of his sermon. You know, this is the part where when

  344. Jesus preached the end of the sermon, you know, the clouds will power

  345. and then some keybodies up there will stop playing music. Dang dang, dang

  346. dang dang. Okay, like one of those things. The ending of yours

  347. a sermon on the Mound in chapter seven, verse twenty one, and he

  348. says, not everyone who says to me, Lord Lord, shall enter the

  349. Kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my father in heaven.

  350. How interesting is that right? Not everyone who says to me, Lord

  351. Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will

  352. of my father in heaven. Many will say to me that, Lord Lord,

  353. have we not prophesied in your name? And this is where I earlier

  354. say, don't just know how to be just be good at being a Christian?

  355. Okay, you have to really be it. And he says, here,

  356. Lord, have you not prophesied in your name? Have we not cant

  357. out demons in your name, and done many wonders in your name. And

  358. then and this Jesus saying, and then I will declare them I never knew

  359. you. Depart from me, you who practice lawlessness. And what is lawlessness?

  360. The word of God. If you don't know the word of God,

  361. you can't quite practice the word of God. Right, So what does this

  362. mean? He who is the will of my Father in Heaven enters the Kingdom

  363. of Heaven. And this is Jesus closing of his message in chapter seven,

  364. because after that chapter eight he moves out right and his encouragement is that everyone

  365. to stick and do the will of God. So now you see the whole

  366. the whole thing piece up together. Great faithfulness, good job. Learn the

  367. word of God. Why because you need to find the will of God for

  368. your life. And what is the will of God? So there is the

  369. overarching will of God that is clearly written in a Bible, and you can

  370. find them, okay, like literally in the Bible. He says, this

  371. is the will of God. So that's the overarching one, which is great.

  372. We need to read it and put it. Because this is the will

  373. of God. You have to do it. Okay, So let's let's look

  374. at one or two. There's many in the Bible. Okay, you can

  375. google them. What is the will of God and be like the periance,

  376. Ah, is it true in the Bible? Research and then do it.

  377. Okay, but I'm gonna pick up two. Second Peter Tree, verse nine

  378. says the Lord. Now we're talking about the will of God. What is

  379. the will of God? Second Peter three vers nine. The Lord is not

  380. slack concerning his promise, as some count slightness, but it's long suffering.

  381. So a lot of people say, God, why it is so slow?

  382. Now patience okay, not willing so by its long suffering towards as but not

  383. willing that any should perish. But I all should come to repentance. That

  384. means that means in this scripture, God is saying my will is a nine

  385. shall perish and all shall come to repentance the will of God. How can

  386. we be part of this? Right? And then you talk about Matthew twenty

  387. eight. And then in one Tasalonians five sixteen to eighteen, again we talk

  388. about what is the will of God? And he says, rejoice always pray

  389. without seizing in everything, give thanks. Okay, let's wake some people up.

  390. Everybody say rejoice. Okay, let's go a little bit abbah. Everybody

  391. say pray. Everybody say give thanks for this is the will of God in

  392. Christ Jesus for you, amen, Amen, okay, and their many will

  393. of God that you can search in the Bible. But I also believe that

  394. there may be individual calling for everybody to discover the will of God in our

  395. personal lives. And He's written in Romans of the Triphies is poor and encouraging

  396. people. Right, do not conform to the pattern of this world, but

  397. be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you'll be able to test

  398. and approves what God's will is for his good, pleasing and perfect will.

  399. In order to test and approve what God's will is, you must first be

  400. transformed by the renewing of your mind by the world of God. Follow because

  401. Jesus said, not my will, but your will be done. So that

  402. is a very specific calling upon Jesus life on earth. So what is God's

  403. will in your life? What is your calling? Would you search for it?

  404. You guys? Good, Okay, let's get to the point of this

  405. message. Actually, when I was preparing this I speaker again. When I

  406. was preparing this message, I think I think I'll finished in fifteen thirty thirty

  407. minutes, right, all right, right, based on this length of material,

  408. I think I've finished in thirty minutes. I mean, I'm not a

  409. professional, and I professional speak for one hour. Then now I remember,

  410. I remember my wife always saying, hey, you speak really faster. So

  411. two times I think I would finish in fifteen minutes. Cannot can knock get

  412. out, So I lengthened my thing. Okay, anyway, because I was

  413. about saying extra close, it's only like five o'clock. Okay, so close.

  414. Okay, wow, let's not set up presidence where so this ends early

  415. every week? As he closed, I want us to look at Matria chapter

  416. four. Okay, most scriptures. I told you a spam you scriptures so

  417. that you know you're going read a Bible and don't question me. Okay.

  418. Matthage after four very interesting because this is when Jesus he did his fast and

  419. prayer right forty days fast and prayer, and then at the end of that

  420. part of first and prayer, Devil came to him and spoke to him.

  421. They had a conversation. The devil tempted him. Right, that's a matter

  422. fall, so let's free. Then Jesus, I think this was fun y'ah

  423. correct, Okay. Then Jesus was led up by the spirit into the wilderness

  424. to be tempted by the devil. And after fasting forty days and forty nights,

  425. he was hungry. Jeerus was hungry, right, hungry people needs food.

  426. And the tempter came and said to him, if you are the son

  427. of God, command these stones to become loads of prayer. And this is

  428. what Jeus answered. He said, it is written, and shall not live

  429. by braay alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.

  430. Now this is the devil first attack, tempting you based on what you

  431. want. So Jesus was hungry, and the devil attacked it. And I,

  432. of course there many ways people like to interpretty love, but just looking

  433. at what we've covered in Message of the Five, I think that Jesus was

  434. being faithful towards his fast and pray that finishing forty days, and he was

  435. hungry, and and the devil came to him and said eat right, and

  436. Jesus was faithful to say, no, I shall not be tempted. But

  437. let's look what happened next. He says, Then the devil took him to

  438. the Holy City and set him on the pinnacle of the temple and said to

  439. him, if you are the son of God, throw yourself down and see

  440. what the devil did. Right. He quote the scripture, and he's very

  441. important. He said here, he said here, for it is written these

  442. devilt telling Jesus, the devil telling Jesus. Right. It is written here

  443. commanded is angels considing you, and on their hands they will bear you up

  444. lest you strike your foot against as a stone. It's quite interesting because now

  445. we talk about knowing the word of God. The thing here is, if

  446. you don't know the word of God, you don't know what is written,

  447. and you're not able to answer right, You're not able to tell the devil

  448. of Because why this form of devil right that comes using scriptures and the word

  449. of God is everywhere today. It's in the reels that you watch people who

  450. shares very great story, not get the word of God. Very great story.

  451. Good examples encourage you, charismatic preachers. You know, the reels that

  452. you watch, the YouTube, the online things that you watch. Great they

  453. know the scripture. But if you don't be like the bearing to go back,

  454. read referm and validate scripture, you might be stuck here. Now you

  455. might throw yourself from the hill thinking that Ah, he will command his angels

  456. concerning you, and the angels will take you up. So Jesus was very

  457. clear, because he knows that he understands the word of God. He responded

  458. to the devil using the word of God. Guys, if we don't know

  459. the word of God, we cannot respond this way. We need to know

  460. the word of God. I'm not saying that I know everything. Ah,

  461. but can we try? Can we start? Don't just be good at being

  462. Christian, we have to be Christians, learn and live the Word of God.

  463. Amen, be like the appearance. And thirdly, the devil asks for

  464. worship. Then the devil took him not this one next click down? Oh

  465. is it this one? Yeah? Again. The devil took him to a

  466. very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.

  467. And he said to him, all this I give you if you will

  468. fall down and worship me. And Jesus answered, be gone, say,

  469. for it is written you shall worship the Lord, your God, and him

  470. only shall yourself. Now here's the thing, right, God wants you to

  471. worship him, to serve him, and to have communion with him. Do

  472. you also know that Satan wants you to also worship him, to serve him

  473. and have communion with him. He's written here. So maybe a question to

  474. ask is who are you worshiping in the daily things that you do? And

  475. sometimes you just don't know, don't realize because why I'm sure what the word

  476. of God says, unsure what the will of God is for your life?

  477. I also reflecting her hang on, so aspitual your close. What's the point

  478. of today's message? Though? It is in Jesus' sermon that he starts with

  479. faithfulness, and some of you you maybe less prepare to pray, okay,

  480. So dang dang dang okay. It is jesus sermon that he started with faithfulness,

  481. and I think let's pray for that because some of us here has really

  482. been very, very faithful, but I have not seen the breakthrough that you're

  483. looking for. Some of you has really been very faithful and so faithful to

  484. the point where the people around you constantly persecute you, constantly question you constantly

  485. ask you whether this guys but real or not? Why do you go to

  486. church on a Saturday, man and Sunday persecution like the comp answers that you

  487. need to give some of you have been so faithful hanging on to the promise

  488. of God, but not knowing when he'll come through. And that's quite painful

  489. to be honest, hanging on to the promise of God not knowing when he'll

  490. come through. It is very painful. But I think, and this is

  491. just me, I think Jesus has answered that by saying, blessed are you?

  492. Blessed? Are you for poor in spirit? For you shall enter the

  493. King of Heaven? Cool? Pretty cool, right, because despite him answering,

  494. not answering, despite him solving your issues, not solving your issues,

  495. I think he has already answered you You're blessed because why you're faithful. Because

  496. you're faithful, you shall inherit the earth. You shall be comforted. What

  497. do you think about that? And then we go to the second phase,

  498. right, because it's not just enough to be faithful to the concept of God.

  499. You have to be faithful to the word of God. Don't just be

  500. a good don't just be good at being a Christian. You have to leave

  501. out his commandments from Message of the five to menage upter seven. Some of

  502. you maybe, or let me let me use the word us. Some of

  503. us we need to learn how to love again, because that is written in

  504. the Bible. Some of us maybe need to learn how not learn, but

  505. maybe need to forgive someone written in the Bible. Some of us probably need

  506. to stop judging, probably need to stop being toxic, also written in the

  507. Bible. Some of us maybe need to consider fasting, pursuing God and his

  508. holiness. Some of us maybe maybe it is, Maybe it's for you and

  509. some of us. Maybe you need to stop starring treasures on earth. Or

  510. maybe don't worry? Right, maybe don't worry? Why worry? And that

  511. that's also written in the Bible. Let's tomorrow worry by yourself. If you've

  512. God, can cloth you know, feel and feed the birds? Why worry?

  513. So that's whatlso written the Bible. Some of us need to start asking,

  514. seeking, knocking. Let's prayer right, and there's a whole chunk of

  515. Matthew five to seven encouraging us. Hey, let's live out a Christian life.

  516. Finally, the third part and the closing part where gas say, seek

  517. the will of God, and let me show us what happened in the parable

  518. of talents. And this is in Matthew twenty five. Is so some of

  519. you might know, some might not know. But this is a story.

  520. Right. The servant that has five talents came back to the Master and said,

  521. Master, you have given me these five talents. Here is the other

  522. five. So the same thing happened to the servant with two talents. You

  523. gave me two. I came back with additional too, right, And so

  524. this is a Master's response to these servants. And he said, well done,

  525. my good and faithful servant. And the Master can only say this because

  526. the Master first have them instruction. The Master first gave them a calling,

  527. and then the servant acted on it, doing the will of God. And

  528. when they did the will of God, that came back, look look at

  529. what I've done. And and and the Master said, uh, well done,

  530. my good and faithful servant. Can I encourage us that one day?

  531. You see? The parable is basically Jesus telling a story of the Kingdom of

  532. Heaven. He tries to bring a parallel world between the parable and how the

  533. Kingdom of heaven is that means one day, right, we will need to

  534. be answerable, and we hope that one day we were here. Well done,

  535. my good and faithful son. But do you know what is the opposite

  536. of that? The opposite of that is you call me lord, Lord,

  537. you said your prophesy and all that, but I don't know you. Thank
