  1. Hi, and welcome to the Willow Ridge Church weekly podcast.

  2. This is where you can find audio for our current and past sermons.

  3. We hope that you enjoy this week's installment, and be sure to check back next week to hear

  4. the latest message.

  5. Thanks for listening.

  6. Well, good morning.

  7. I just want to share with y'all, because I feel like everyone just saw something.

  8. Let me clarify real quick.

  9. One of my fears in life almost just happened right before all of you.

  10. Hopefully, you were all watching the screen, but I have a feeling that we have some personalities

  11. that are like me, which whatever you're supposed to do, you're going to find something else to do.

  12. And as I'm walking across the stage, my foot catches this right here, and I have this.

  13. Play it off really cool as we come back over here.

  14. So, if you saw me stumble, yeah, that was it, and it was about to be ugly in front of everybody.

  15. But God, in His grace, allowed me to catch myself.

  16. So, thank you all for being here this morning.

  17. If you've got your Bibles, going up to Luke chapter 7, as we continue on in our study of

    Luke 7 chapter mention

  18. the Gospel of Luke.

  19. Friday, I had the opportunity to go to one of our Baptist colleges in our state and meet

  20. with a group of college leaders there on their campus and talk to them about authenticity in

  21. our relationship with Jesus.

  22. Now, I want to be honest with you.

  23. I told them, I said, you know, all of you who are sitting here in this room chose this school

  24. because it was a Christian university.

  25. I said, now, for me, this is the second time that I've ever been on the campus of this university.

  26. And when I was in high school, I wasn't looking for colleges based off of their statement of

  27. faith in God, okay?

  28. I wasn't saved.

  29. So, you're sitting in a spot as a 18, 19, 20-year-old that for me who didn't get saved

  30. until I was 20, I can't understand.

  31. I said, but I do have something that I want to kind of address as we get to go into this

  32. this morning, and it is this.

  33. If you are unwilling to be authentic, real, and open about your walk with Jesus,

  34. if within you is some sort of Pharisee that says, as I move and interact in this college

  35. campus that's filled with 100, so in order to go, you've got to say that you're a Christian

  36. whether you are or not, all right?

  37. And so, for you to kind of be here, like I understand this is going to be difficult for

  38. you, and then let me also kind of talk about this, like if you confess some things in here

  39. and someone snitches, you could get expelled.

  40. So, I get all of that.

  41. I get all of it.

  42. But I also need for you to understand, if we're going to look at what it means to be a follower

  43. of Jesus and to be discipled into being a growing follower of Jesus and disciple others to be

  44. followers of Jesus, you have to understand that it's got to be okay to not be okay.

  45. It's got to be, you've got to have a place, you've got to have a posturing within yourself

  46. internally that recognizes that I don't have it all figured out, and in the things that I don't

  47. have all figured out, and listen, like I'm not talking about like theology, I'm talking about

  48. application of theology, that within my life that I don't have all of these things figured

  49. out, and I've got to have men and women of faith that can surround me, and that it can

  50. be okay that I'm not okay.

  51. And what I feel like we're dealing with, and we talked a lot about this, I had eight in my

  52. little group that I was leading there of these campus leaders.

  53. All of them are heading into vocational ministry once they graduate.

  54. And so what we talked about is that at this school, if we're not careful, what this school

  55. is, is a picture of the church where it's not okay to be okay.

  56. And what we're really going to, what I want us to kind of dive into this morning, and we're

  57. going to kind of begin with this and just have a moment of honesty for us, and I'm hoping

  58. that this can take us to another step in our walk with the Lord, okay, is a question that

  59. we have to wrestle with and that we have to answer, but if we're just going to be the Pharisee

  60. that has it all figured out, the Pharisee who we're good, then we're never going to go there,

  61. we're never going to get there in our journey with the Lord.

  62. And so here's what I want to say to you this morning.

  63. As I am where you, I don't want to say I've been where you've been, here's what I'd like

  64. to say I am where you are.

  65. I am where you are.

  66. Is that if we are honest with one another, as spiritual as we want to be, as much as we

  67. love Jesus, as much as we desire to follow Him, as much as we proclaim our faith in Him,

  68. as much as we trust Him in our lives, there are oftentimes moments in your life and in mine

  69. in our journey of obedience with Christ where Jesus does not meet our expectations.

  70. And it leaves us in a sense, in a feeling of sadness, of anxiety, of bitterness, and of questioning

  71. our faith.

  72. Like, is that fair?

  73. Like, I hope that you're at a spot this morning where we're like, we're not saying stand up

  74. and tell everybody else what's going on, but that there's been points and times in your

  75. life where Jesus does not meet what you and I believe to be the reasonable expectations of

  76. our life.

  77. So I'm not talking about like, you're not a millionaire, so Christ has failed you.

  78. What I'm talking about is, is Jesus takes us down a path in life that we would have not

  79. chosen for ourselves.

  80. That His timing and His delivery in something is not the logical timing that we would have

  81. chosen for ourselves.

  82. That Jesus allows someone who is, and I'm going to use the quotes, good to suffer while He allows

  83. someone who's not good to prosper.

  84. There's a good friend of mine yesterday who lost his brother to COVID, his younger brother

  85. who leaves behind a young wife and young kids who are all believers.

  86. But could we acknowledge that that wife probably woke up this morning feeling as if Jesus did

  87. not meet her expectations?

  88. Is it fair to acknowledge that that little boy and that little girl wake up this morning

  89. wondering, God, why have you failed me?

  90. Is that fair?

  91. I think it's fair.

  92. So the question that I have for us this morning, if it is going to happen, what happens when Jesus

  93. doesn't meet your expectations?

  94. Look in your journey of faith, and if you're a follower of Jesus, let me tell you, it's going

  95. to happen.

  96. Like, it was not my expectation that my wife would miscarry, yet she did.

  97. It was not my expectation that we would go through a battle of infertility, but we did.

  98. It was not my expectation that I would have twins, one who would suffer with health issues, and

  99. we would struggle through that.

  100. And while building medical debts, Aaron and I would both be without work, but we did.

  101. And we could continue on and on and on and on and on.

  102. Those weren't my expectations, but yet that's the path that God brought me down.

  103. And I want to be very clear.

  104. God has never failed me.

  105. He's never, not one time.

  106. He has always been faithful to me, and He's always been faithful to you.

  107. And He did not fail that family who lost their dad and their husband, but it is fair to say

  108. that in all of those instances, expectations were not met.

  109. And so if we're going to walk in our journey with the Lord, if we're going to grow in spite

  110. of our circumstances, if we're going to take suffering on the chin and persevere through

  111. it, then what you and I have to really wrestle with at our core of who we are is what do we

  112. do when Jesus does not meet our expectations?

  113. In Luke 7, as we open it up, we're going to find that there's two instances where Jesus

  114. meets expectations.

  115. Jesus is going to meet a stated and an unstated expectation.

  116. Jesus is going to fulfill and bring in hope into real and tangible scenes of what happens.

  117. The first deals with a Roman centurion.

  118. Now, a couple things about this guy, right?

  119. He's an outsider.

  120. He's a Roman.

  121. He's not Jewish.

  122. He's a military leader.

  123. He's a military leader that has power, that has influence, that has money.

  124. He's a military leader who has done influential and good things in the world in which he's

  125. lives for the Jewish people who are there, but he is still an outsider.

  126. And he has a servant who is sick and who is dying, and we're not going to fully get into

  127. the story, but he sins in hopes that Jesus will come and heal him, and Jesus is coming

  128. to his house to heal him.

  129. And he sends more that says, hey, hey, look, you don't have to come.

  130. You have power.

  131. You have authority.

  132. Roman soldiers say in this, you can do it.

  133. And Jesus does it without even being there, and Jesus fulfills the expectation.

  134. Like, chalk one up.

  135. Like, walk out of here excited.

  136. Like, we can misinterpret that passage of Scripture, right?

  137. And we can say, whatever you have that's going wrong, just proclaim it in the name of Jesus,

  138. and it's going to work out all right, right?

  139. There might be a lot of people who are actually saying that today.

  140. There's another instance right after that where Jesus is in a small town, like small, podunk,

  141. nothing town, and there's a woman, a widow, and her son has died.

  142. And as Jesus enters into this town, he is greeted, right, by the funeral procession.

  143. And he encounters her, and she has no influence, she has no power, she has no money.

  144. So in the culture, she's a widow, which means her husband is not there to provide for her.

  145. And so, sorry, ladies, if this is the world in which you live, right, like, you don't have

  146. your own retirement plan, right?

  147. It's based in your husband.

  148. Well, if your husband dies, then that's going to fall to your sons.

  149. Well, she has a son, and he dies.

  150. And so, everything in her life, her provision has been lost.

  151. And so, Jesus encounters her on this funeral procession, and he tells her, he says, hey,

  152. now, think about the craziness of Jesus' words here for just a moment.

  153. He says, hey, don't weep, don't weep.

  154. And then he reaches out and touches the cart that her son is being carried on,

  155. tells him to rise, and he begins to speak.

  156. So we can take that passage of Scripture, and we can misapply that and talk about all the things

  157. that we need to lay on the cart, and that God, in his faithfulness, absolutely will fulfill

  158. the desires of your heart in this moment, right?

  159. But, but, Jesus did, but that's not always the case.

  160. You see, during the time of Christ, blind people still remained blind,

  161. dead people still remained dead, and sick people died.

  162. Jesus healed some, but Jesus didn't heal all.

  163. And so we take that, and we apply that to our lives, and we hear those mountaintop stories

  164. of these great and wonderful things, physically speaking, within our world of what God is coming

  165. and what God is doing.

  166. And if we're, and then in that, right, like, we do the compare and contrast to our life,

  167. and we're saying, man, great, like, Jesus, you restored that marriage, but mine's still falling apart.

  168. Jesus, you healed them, but yet someone's still on a ventilator.

  169. Jesus, you pulled them out of the financial pit of debt that they're in,

  170. but yet I still find myself just being overwhelmed by all of this.

  171. And if we're not careful, we can begin to have this sense of,

  172. God, I just don't understand.

  173. Why did you do this for them, but yet you didn't do this for me?

  174. And so, again, I want to ask the question to you.

  175. What happens when Jesus doesn't meet your expectations, right?

  176. What happens when the struggle is still remaining and the struggle's there?

  177. We're going to read in just a moment, starting in verse 20.

  178. Jesus is going to heal the centurion's servant.

  179. Jesus is going to raise the widow.

  180. And all this gets back to John the Baptist, a man of faith, a prophet.

  181. Go all the way back to our Christmas series, right?

  182. Like, his mom and Jesus' mom are cousins.

  183. And when Mary comes to John the Baptist, Elizabeth's mom,

  184. and to tell her that she's pregnant, like, when she walks in,

  185. remember, John the Baptist is the one cutting cartwheels, right?

  186. In her womb.

  187. Because the Messiah is there.

  188. If there's a guy who gets it, it's John.

  189. Let's just say, like, let's be honest.

  190. Like, we see people in faith, in the gospel, in the Bible, right?

  191. Like, they're varsity-level faith.

  192. Like, John the Baptist, Paul, David.

  193. Like, they're clicking at it, right?

  194. They're varsity.

  195. You and I are just trying to make the JV team, all right?

  196. And this is where they are.

  197. And this is John.

  198. But here's the thing.

  199. John's in prison.

  200. And word gets back to John of all of the things that Jesus is doing.

  201. So look at verse 20.

  202. And when the men had come to him, they said,

  203. so this is a group of men, followers of John the Baptist, his disciples.

  204. They come to Jesus, and they said,

  205. John the Baptist has sent us to you, saying,

  206. are you the one who is to come, or shall we look for another?

  207. Now, let's pause, right?

  208. Remember, like, John has baptized Jesus.

  209. John's been there.

  210. John knows.

  211. But here, we get this, like, what's going on here?

  212. In that hour, he healed many people of diseases and plagues and evil spirits,

  213. and on many who were blind, he restored sight.

  214. And he answered them,

  215. go and tell John what you have seen and heard.

  216. The blind receive their sight, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear.

  217. The dead are raised up, the poor have good news preached to them.

  218. So they come to Jesus, and they say,

  219. hey, are you the one?

  220. And Jesus just starts working.

  221. And Jesus starts working.

  222. And Jesus starts healing.

  223. And Jesus starts teaching.

  224. And then Jesus looked at him and says,

  225. hey, hey, go and tell John what you've seen, what you've heard.

  226. The blind receive their sight.

  227. The lame walk.

  228. The lepers are cleansed.

  229. And the deaf hear.

  230. The dead are raised up.

  231. The poor have good news preached to them.

  232. You see, John's ministry in his life had been based in the reality that the Messiah would come,

  233. and that in the coming of the Messiah, there would be justice, would be restored, and there'd be punishment for sinners.

  234. John's whole message, right, is repent, repent, because the Messiah is coming.

  235. All of these things are true.

  236. All of these things are right.

  237. This is what God had called.

  238. This is the message that John received from God in the wilderness to do.

  239. And so Jesus comes, the Messiah that he longed for, the Messiah that he is waiting for.

  240. But instead of Jesus coming in and, like, kicking the doors down and bringing justice and bringing wrath and pouring it out on the sinners,

  241. Jesus is moving around from, like, small town to small town, healing a bunch of people and doing preaching.

  242. And John's like, whoa, whoa, time out.

  243. Jesus, this is not my expectation.

  244. And it's based in Scripture.

  245. It's based in who I understand you to be.

  246. And I've been obedient.

  247. I've done all the right things.

  248. But yet, Jesus,

  249. I'm in prison.

  250. And you're blessing the Roman.

  251. What's up with that?

  252. What's up with that, Jesus?

  253. Now, I want to be honest with you.

  254. In my life,

  255. there have been spiritual moments

  256. where I say, Jesus,

  257. spiritually, I feel like I'm in prison and I'm looking around and you're just blessing a whole bunch of Romans.

  258. And I don't get it.

  259. I don't get it.

  260. Who are you and why am I where I am?

  261. Jesus isn't supposed to heal the enemy, but he is.

  262. Jesus isn't supposed to bring life to the insignificant, but he is.

  263. Jesus isn't supposed to show mercy to the undeserving,

  264. but he does all of these things while John rots in prison.

  265. And here's the thing, church.

  266. If we're not careful,

  267. as we are on our authentic,

  268. real,

  269. working,

  270. moving relationship with Jesus,

  271. right,

  272. there are going to be times where you find yourself in the prison cell of your life,

  273. and the news that you get from others is God's blessing on them.

  274. And God has not failed you,

  275. but he's not met your expectations either.

  276. So how do we deal with that?

  277. How do we process that?

  278. How do we not come out of this bitter?

  279. And how do we dive deeper into who he is?

  280. Jesus,

  281. I want us to look at his words

  282. and understand what Jesus brings.

  283. You see,

  284. because Jesus says some things that are very significant.

  285. Jesus does before them some significant things

  286. that are going to point John's disciples

  287. to a better understanding of who he is.

  288. He's going to continue to do in front of them what he's always done,

  289. but he's going to speak to them what they've already heard,

  290. but in this to begin to bring some understanding

  291. of the process of fully who he is.

  292. Because in it all,

  293. Jesus is going to look at them and say,

  294. because I do these things,

  295. I am the Messiah.

  296. And it is who I am.

  297. And so Jesus says,

  298. yes,

  299. what I bring in my life

  300. is what I bring in my person of who I am.

  301. And so I bring healing.

  302. I bring healing.

  303. We're going to click through these pretty fast.

  304. We're like,

  305. Jesus,

  306. I get it.

  307. I get it.

  308. Yeah,

  309. you've healed the blind.

  310. Jesus,

  311. you've restored sight.

  312. Jesus,

  313. the lame has walked.

  314. The leopards has been cleansed.

  315. But Jesus,

  316. you're healing.

  317. And so you're sitting here today

  318. and you're like,

  319. well,

  320. Jesus,

  321. that's what I'm praying for.

  322. That's what I'm here for.

  323. But here's what I want to get us

  324. to begin to understand

  325. and understand

  326. and grasp

  327. and the miracles

  328. that we looked at several weeks ago.

  329. That just in the moment

  330. where Jesus is implementing these

  331. in this physical life

  332. that we know

  333. and that we understand

  334. and let's be honest

  335. that we sometimes get lost in.

  336. Like you and I

  337. and the feebleness of our mind

  338. cannot begin to grasp

  339. what eternity is

  340. and what eternity means.

  341. And so Jesus says,

  342. when I heal,

  343. what I'm doing is

  344. I'm giving a glimpse

  345. and a picture

  346. of what this looks like

  347. for all.

  348. For all who receive me

  349. in giving freedom from sin.

  350. Right?

  351. That's what everybody gains

  352. in the moment.

  353. What caused you

  354. to not be able

  355. to live

  356. your blindness.

  357. What caused you

  358. to not be able

  359. to walk

  360. he heals.

  361. And then what we gain

  362. from that

  363. is the same thing in life

  364. of what's pulling you

  365. and what's holding

  366. you and I down

  367. the sins

  368. of what we consume

  369. and what Jesus brings

  370. is he brings healing

  371. in that

  372. which means he gives freedom.

  373. That Jesus

  374. not only brings healing

  375. but he brings life.

  376. That just as Jesus

  377. touched the cart

  378. or made the word

  379. or spoke the word

  380. and what come from that

  381. was life in the individuals

  382. that Jesus does that.

  383. But not only just

  384. in the physical sense

  385. but Jesus saying

  386. hey eternally

  387. that's what I'm working

  388. to do.

  389. I'm restoring

  390. the brokenness of life

  391. and engaging

  392. for who we are

  393. and that's what we can

  394. work toward

  395. and what we can have

  396. that I bring life.

  397. Jesus says

  398. but also

  399. bring hope.

  400. I bring hope

  401. in Jesus' words

  402. he says

  403. he says this

  404. the poor

  405. have the good news

  406. preached to them.

  407. The poor

  408. have the good news

  409. preached to them.

  410. Jesus doesn't say

  411. the poor

  412. handed

  413. bags of gold.

  414. Right?

  415. Jesus doesn't say

  416. the poor

  417. have their poverty

  418. walked away from them.

  419. He's saying

  420. what happens

  421. is the poor

  422. what they find

  423. what they're granted

  424. what they're given

  425. is hope.

  426. Here's the thing

  427. about hope.

  428. Hope isn't manifest

  429. right now.

  430. Right?

  431. Hope is always

  432. at a future

  433. of what we can look to

  434. and what we can long for.

  435. Hope is what keeps us

  436. in the midst

  437. of the storm

  438. of knowing

  439. what the tomorrow

  440. or the next week

  441. or the next month

  442. or what the next year

  443. can look like.

  444. And Jesus says

  445. so the poor

  446. they have the good news

  447. preached to them

  448. the good news

  449. of the gospel

  450. the hope

  451. that you and I have.

  452. You know

  453. that's a clean

  454. easy way

  455. to kind of skirt

  456. where I am.

  457. Right?

  458. That's a really

  459. Baptist-y way

  460. of saying

  461. get over yourself.

  462. Right?

  463. I won't admit that

  464. for a second.

  465. Okay?

  466. Like hey

  467. it doesn't matter

  468. where you are

  469. God wants

  470. to give you healing.

  471. It doesn't matter

  472. where you are

  473. God gives you life.

  474. It doesn't matter

  475. where you are

  476. God gives you hope.

  477. Now go out

  478. and suck it up.

  479. It's hard.

  480. It's hard

  481. to suck it up.

  482. So what do we do

  483. in the moments

  484. of this

  485. when we're broken?

  486. here's what we have

  487. to do.

  488. Here's the peace

  489. that God has given me

  490. in my suffering now

  491. in my suffering then

  492. and what I want

  493. to cling to

  494. in my future suffering.

  495. In the moments

  496. where my expectations

  497. aren't met

  498. and the only thing

  499. that can remind me

  500. of where they are

  501. and is found

  502. in the words

  503. of Apostle Paul

  504. in 2 Corinthians 12

  505. starting in verse 9.

  506. As Paul is going through

  507. a man who is beaten

  508. because of the gospel

  509. a man who is imprisoned

  510. because of the gospel

  511. a man who will lose

  512. his life

  513. because of his gospel

  514. and here's what he said

  515. in the middle

  516. of all this

  517. he says

  518. but he said to me

  519. God speaking

  520. to the heart of Paul

  521. my grace

  522. is sufficient

  523. for you

  524. for my power

  525. and if you're

  526. an underliner

  527. in your Bible

  528. like this is underlined

  529. like highlight

  530. like go write it

  531. on your mirror

  532. at home

  533. so you see it

  534. every morning

  535. my grace

  536. is sufficient

  537. for you

  538. for my power

  539. is made perfect

  540. in your perfection

  541. in your strength

  542. in your ability

  543. no

  544. in your weakness

  545. in your weakness

  546. God says

  547. when the world

  548. sees me

  549. manifest

  550. is not

  551. in the moment

  552. we're spiritually

  553. speaking

  554. like you

  555. in your own

  556. ability

  557. is bench pressing

  558. that weight

  559. off of you

  560. that you

  561. in your own

  562. ability

  563. is overcoming

  564. every battle

  565. that you face

  566. that in that

  567. moment

  568. where my grace

  569. is sufficient

  570. for you

  571. where my power

  572. is made perfect

  573. it is found

  574. in your weakness

  575. and so look at

  576. what Paul says

  577. therefore I will boast

  578. all the more gladly

  579. of my weaknesses

  580. so that the power

  581. of Christ

  582. may rest

  583. on me

  584. for the sake

  585. of Jesus Christ

  586. then I am content

  587. I'm content

  588. with weaknesses

  589. I'm content

  590. with insults

  591. I'm content

  592. with hardships

  593. I'm content

  594. with persecutions

  595. I'm content

  596. for calamities

  597. for when

  598. I am weak

  599. then I'm strong

  600. and I'm strong

  601. and it's in those moments

  602. when everything's

  603. falling apart

  604. it's in those moments

  605. where the suffering

  606. is too much

  607. it's in the moments

  608. where you feel

  609. alone

  610. where you feel

  611. beaten down

  612. where you feel

  613. that your integrity

  614. has been challenged

  615. it's in those moments

  616. when we can say

  617. but Jesus

  618. you're enough

  619. but Jesus

  620. you're enough

  621. so what do we do

  622. when Jesus

  623. doesn't meet

  624. our expectations

  625. Jesus is enough

  626. this is the Messiah

  627. that he is

  628. so what happens

  629. to us

  630. when things stay bad

  631. what happens

  632. to us

  633. when the struggle

  634. continues on

  635. what happens

  636. to us

  637. when we

  638. continue

  639. to experience

  640. hurt

  641. jump down

  642. to verse 36

  643. Jesus

  644. is going to have

  645. another encounter

  646. with not a theological

  647. giant

  648. Jesus is going to

  649. have an encounter

  650. with someone

  651. who doesn't have

  652. it all figured out

  653. Jesus is going to

  654. have an encounter

  655. with an outcast

  656. who's done

  657. a lot of

  658. bad things

  659. and is

  660. paying

  661. the consequences

  662. for who she is

  663. and the decision

  664. that she's made

  665. verse 36

  666. one of the Pharisees

  667. asked him

  668. to eat with him

  669. and he went

  670. into the Pharisees

  671. house

  672. and reclined

  673. at the table

  674. and behold

  675. a woman

  676. of the city

  677. who was

  678. a sinner

  679. alright

  680. so like

  681. let's just go ahead

  682. like this lady

  683. is a prostitute

  684. and when she learned

  685. that he was reclining

  686. at the table

  687. in the Pharisees

  688. house

  689. brought an alabaster

  690. flask of ointment

  691. and standing behind him

  692. at his feet

  693. weeping

  694. she began to wet

  695. his feet

  696. with her tears

  697. and wiped them

  698. with the hair

  699. of her head

  700. and kissed

  701. his feet

  702. and anointed

  703. them with ointment

  704. now when the Pharisee

  705. who had invited him

  706. saw this

  707. he said to himself

  708. if this man

  709. were a prophet

  710. he would have known

  711. who and what sort

  712. of woman

  713. this is

  714. who is touching him

  715. for she is a sinner

  716. and Jesus

  717. answering him

  718. said

  719. Simon

  720. I have something

  721. to say

  722. to you

  723. now

  724. a couple

  725. things

  726. let's just

  727. real quick

  728. he said it

  729. to himself

  730. and Jesus

  731. answered him

  732. we could spend

  733. weeks on that

  734. right

  735. so just

  736. like

  737. if you're

  738. thinking it

  739. right

  740. that phrase

  741. like think

  742. before you speak

  743. so please

  744. continue to

  745. maintain that

  746. right

  747. but here's

  748. what I do

  749. want to say

  750. like

  751. be willing

  752. to be

  753. vulnerable

  754. enough

  755. with God

  756. to understand

  757. that he

  758. knows

  759. your

  760. thoughts

  761. right

  762. we can't

  763. fake it

  764. verse 41

  765. Jesus tells

  766. him a story

  767. a certain

  768. money lender

  769. had two

  770. debtors

  771. one owed

  772. 500 denarii

  773. and the other

  774. 50

  775. and when they

  776. cannot pay

  777. he canceled

  778. the debt

  779. of both

  780. now which

  781. one of them

  782. will love him

  783. more

  784. and Simon

  785. answers

  786. the one

  787. I suppose

  788. who canceled

  789. the larger

  790. debt

  791. and he said

  792. to him

  793. you have

  794. judged

  795. rightly

  796. then turning

  797. toward the

  798. woman

  799. he said

  800. to Simon

  801. do you

  802. see

  803. this

  804. woman

  805. I

  806. entered

  807. your

  808. house

  809. and you

  810. gave me

  811. no water

  812. for my

  813. feet

  814. but she

  815. has wet

  816. my feet

  817. with her

  818. tears

  819. and wiped

  820. them with her

  821. hair

  822. you gave

  823. me no

  824. kiss

  825. but from

  826. the time

  827. I came

  828. in

  829. she has

  830. not

  831. ceased

  832. to kiss

  833. my feet

  834. you did

  835. not

  836. anoint

  837. my head

  838. with oil

  839. but she

  840. has anointed

  841. my feet

  842. with ointment

  843. therefore

  844. I tell

  845. you

  846. I tell

  847. you

  848. her sins

  849. which are

  850. many

  851. are

  852. forgiven

  853. for she

  854. loved

  855. much

  856. but he

  857. who is

  858. forgiven

  859. little

  860. loves

  861. little

  862. and he

  863. said to her

  864. your sins

  865. are forgiven

  866. then those

  867. who were at

  868. the table

  869. with him

  870. began to

  871. say to

  872. among

  873. themselves

  874. who is

  875. this

  876. who even

  877. forgives

  878. sins

  879. and he

  880. said to

  881. the woman

  882. your faith

  883. has saved

  884. you

  885. go in

  886. peace

  887. heard

  888. a guy

  889. speak

  890. about

  891. this

  892. passage

  893. one

  894. time

  895. and he

  896. titled it

  897. the faith

  898. of a

  899. prostitute

  900. and he

  901. challenged

  902. the church

  903. right

  904. to be

  905. more

  906. like

  907. her

  908. and here's

  909. what we

  910. see

  911. we see

  912. what is

  913. manifest

  914. differently

  915. in the

  916. woman

  917. who is

  918. sinful

  919. and the

  920. Pharisee

  921. what Jesus

  922. points to

  923. are their

  924. greetings

  925. how they

  926. welcome

  927. Jesus

  928. and so

  929. for you

  930. and I

  931. with where

  932. we find

  933. ourselves

  934. in answering

  935. the question

  936. of right

  937. now

  938. Jesus

  939. where are

  940. you

  941. in meeting

  942. my

  943. expectations

  944. Jesus

  945. where are

  946. you

  947. in this

  948. pit

  949. with where

  950. I'm at

  951. the one

  952. that I

  953. want to

  954. be careful

  955. on

  956. is this

  957. that our

  958. heart

  959. does not

  960. become

  961. hardened

  962. like the

  963. Pharisee

  964. but that

  965. our heart

  966. remains

  967. tender

  968. and what

  969. we can

  970. see from

  971. her

  972. is who

  973. she is

  974. in that

  975. today

  976. the

  977. greetings

  978. of faith

  979. the

  980. greetings

  981. of Christ

  982. look what

  983. she did

  984. she

  985. she welcomes

  986. Jesus

  987. right

  988. if someone

  989. came to your

  990. house during

  991. this time

  992. what you

  993. would do

  994. is you

  995. would offer

  996. them a spot

  997. to wash

  998. their feet

  999. I don't know

  1000. about y'all

  1001. but since

  1002. COVID hit

  1003. like right

  1004. when you

  1005. come into

  1006. our house

  1007. you kind

  1008. of walk

  1009. down a

  1010. little hallway

  1011. that's there

  1012. and then we

  1013. have this

  1014. island that's

  1015. in our

  1016. kitchen

  1017. and you

  1018. know what's

  1019. there on

  1020. our island

  1021. in our

  1022. kitchen

  1023. is like a

  1024. 350 ounce

  1025. bottle of

  1026. hand sanitizer

  1027. right

  1028. so you

  1029. come in

  1030. our house

  1031. and we're

  1032. like hey

  1033. you want to

  1034. get someone

  1035. out for me

  1036. real quick

  1037. like gotcha

  1038. love you

  1039. glad that

  1040. you're here

  1041. let's kind

  1042. of wash

  1043. up a little

  1044. bit

  1045. all right

  1046. so during

  1047. the time

  1048. of Jesus

  1049. right you

  1050. would come

  1051. in and

  1052. they would

  1053. wash your

  1054. feet but

  1055. but he

  1056. doesn't do

  1057. this

  1058. and so she

  1059. wants to

  1060. wash her

  1061. wash his

  1062. feet

  1063. and so she

  1064. washes them

  1065. with her

  1066. with her tears

  1067. and in

  1068. doing so

  1069. she welcomes

  1070. him

  1071. and here's

  1072. what she's

  1073. saying to

  1074. Jesus

  1075. think about

  1076. when you

  1077. welcome someone

  1078. in your

  1079. home

  1080. what are you

  1081. saying man

  1082. I'm glad

  1083. that you

  1084. are here

  1085. right

  1086. and Jesus

  1087. looks at

  1088. her

  1089. in her eyes

  1090. what she

  1091. communicates

  1092. that I'm

  1093. glad that

  1094. you are here

  1095. and I don't

  1096. get to watch

  1097. TV very much

  1098. anymore

  1099. but I used

  1100. to right

  1101. do y'all

  1102. I don't even

  1103. know it's still

  1104. a TV show

  1105. but do you

  1106. remember the game

  1107. who wants

  1108. to be a

  1109. millionaire

  1110. is that

  1111. still a

  1112. thing

  1113. anymore

  1114. is it

  1115. maybe not

  1116. all right

  1117. so there was

  1118. this game

  1119. show if you

  1120. don't remember

  1121. who wants

  1122. to be a

  1123. millionaire

  1124. you had to

  1125. answer a

  1126. bunch of

  1127. questions

  1128. and if you

  1129. needed help

  1130. you could

  1131. get help

  1132. and one of

  1133. the options

  1134. was a

  1135. lifeline

  1136. if you didn't

  1137. know the

  1138. answer you

  1139. had a

  1140. lifeline

  1141. and this

  1142. lifeline

  1143. you could

  1144. reach out

  1145. and call

  1146. someone that

  1147. you know

  1148. who may

  1149. know the

  1150. answer

  1151. for you

  1152. so they

  1153. would reach

  1154. out and they

  1155. would help

  1156. you

  1157. in fact one

  1158. of the ones

  1159. that I

  1160. remember

  1161. I think

  1162. it was

  1163. from the

  1164. very first

  1165. season

  1166. is there

  1167. was this

  1168. guy on

  1169. there and

  1170. he had

  1171. made his

  1172. way to the

  1173. million dollar

  1174. question and

  1175. they give him

  1176. the question

  1177. and he says

  1178. yes I'd like

  1179. to use

  1180. my lifeline

  1181. and then in

  1182. the most

  1183. awesome thing

  1184. that I've ever

  1185. seen on a

  1186. game show

  1187. I believe it

  1188. was his

  1189. wife answered

  1190. the phone

  1191. and Regis

  1192. goes through

  1193. his whole

  1194. spiel right

  1195. about he's

  1196. down to the

  1197. last question

  1198. to win a

  1199. million dollars

  1200. and he

  1201. wants your

  1202. help in

  1203. this question

  1204. and so he

  1205. hands it

  1206. over to

  1207. this contestant

  1208. and he

  1209. doesn't ask

  1210. a question

  1211. he lets

  1212. his wife

  1213. know that

  1214. they're about

  1215. to be

  1216. millionaires

  1217. because he

  1218. knows the

  1219. answer

  1220. right

  1221. I thought

  1222. that is

  1223. awesome

  1224. in that

  1225. moment

  1226. well I

  1227. heard someone

  1228. say one

  1229. time

  1230. that Jesus

  1231. is like a

  1232. lifeline

  1233. that he's

  1234. there for

  1235. you to call

  1236. him when

  1237. you need

  1238. help

  1239. and here's

  1240. what I want

  1241. to say

  1242. can you call

  1243. Jesus when

  1244. you need

  1245. help

  1246. absolutely

  1247. but let's

  1248. do not

  1249. see

  1250. Jesus

  1251. simply

  1252. as a

  1253. lifeline

  1254. dangling

  1255. out

  1256. that only

  1257. in moments

  1258. of help

  1259. do we reach

  1260. out

  1261. that in

  1262. his spirit

  1263. that he

  1264. sends us

  1265. and that he

  1266. gives us

  1267. with who

  1268. he is

  1269. that he

  1270. is more

  1271. than that

  1272. so here's

  1273. what I want

  1274. to ask

  1275. you in

  1276. your moment

  1277. of where

  1278. you are

  1279. where you

  1280. find yourself

  1281. right now

  1282. as a person

  1283. of faith

  1284. are you

  1285. simply

  1286. welcoming

  1287. Jesus

  1288. the second

  1289. thing that

  1290. we see

  1291. here

  1292. is

  1293. she

  1294. enters

  1295. into

  1296. relationship

  1297. with

  1298. Jesus

  1299. she

  1300. begins

  1301. to

  1302. kiss

  1303. him

  1304. she

  1305. kisses

  1306. his

  1307. feet

  1308. now

  1309. you're

  1310. like

  1311. man

  1312. that's

  1313. weird

  1314. that's

  1315. not what we

  1316. would do

  1317. and you're

  1318. right

  1319. that's not

  1320. what we

  1321. do

  1322. if you

  1323. come

  1324. into

  1325. my

  1326. house

  1327. like

  1328. don't

  1329. do

  1330. that

  1331. all

  1332. right

  1333. but

  1334. Jesus

  1335. says to

  1336. Simon

  1337. like

  1338. hey

  1339. you

  1340. didn't

  1341. greet

  1342. me

  1343. with

  1344. a kiss

  1345. but she

  1346. hasn't

  1347. stopped

  1348. kissing

  1349. me

  1350. now

  1351. first

  1352. let's

  1353. let's

  1354. think

  1355. about

  1356. this

  1357. all

  1358. right

  1359. before

  1360. we

  1361. judge

  1362. others

  1363. think

  1364. about

  1365. the

  1366. character

  1367. and

  1368. integrity

  1369. of a

  1370. woman

  1371. who's

  1372. kissing

  1373. Christ

  1374. and he

  1375. welcomes

  1376. it

  1377. the beauty

  1378. of the

  1379. gospel

  1380. that he

  1381. welcomes

  1382. it

  1383. she

  1384. kisses

  1385. him

  1386. and

  1387. in

  1388. this

  1389. she

  1390. enters

  1391. into

  1392. relationship

  1393. with

  1394. Jesus

  1395. right

  1396. I

  1397. want

  1398. you

  1399. to

  1400. get

  1401. a

  1402. picture

  1403. of

  1404. culturally

  1405. speaking

  1406. let's

  1407. look at

  1408. what

  1409. even

  1410. we

  1411. understand

  1412. a

  1413. kiss

  1414. to

  1415. be

  1416. it's

  1417. a

  1418. defining

  1419. moment

  1420. of

  1421. the

  1422. intimacy

  1423. of

  1424. the

  1425. relationship

  1426. I'm

  1427. talking

  1428. about

  1429. physical

  1430. intimacy

  1431. I'm

  1432. talking

  1433. about

  1434. relational

  1435. intimacy

  1436. where

  1437. she

  1438. says

  1439. Jesus

  1440. I

  1441. want

  1442. to

  1443. know

  1444. you

  1445. and

  1446. who

  1447. you

  1448. are

  1449. right

  1450. as

  1451. some

  1452. of

  1453. y'all

  1454. came

  1455. in

  1456. this

  1457. morning

  1458. I

  1459. typically

  1460. try to

  1461. greet

  1462. you

  1463. with

  1464. how

  1465. you

  1466. greet

  1467. me

  1468. so

  1469. those

  1470. of

  1471. you

  1472. that

  1473. come in

  1474. for a

  1475. hug

  1476. I'll

  1477. give you

  1478. a hug

  1479. back

  1480. I'm

  1481. alright

  1482. with that

  1483. for those

  1484. of you

  1485. that

  1486. want

  1487. a

  1488. handshake

  1489. I'll

  1490. give you

  1491. a

  1492. handshake

  1493. for those

  1494. of you

  1495. who

  1496. want

  1497. to

  1498. I'm

  1499. back

  1500. there

  1501. with

  1502. you

  1503. right

  1504. some

  1505. of you

  1506. don't

  1507. want

  1508. the

  1509. fist

  1510. bump

  1511. I'm

  1512. there

  1513. with

  1514. you

  1515. as

  1516. well

  1517. here's

  1518. what

  1519. I

  1520. think

  1521. some

  1522. of us

  1523. need

  1524. to

  1525. stop

  1526. fist

  1527. bumping

  1528. Jesus

  1529. and

  1530. need

  1531. to

  1532. start

  1533. kissing

  1534. his

  1535. feet

  1536. right

  1537. like

  1538. we're

  1539. walking

  1540. by

  1541. Jesus

  1542. like

  1543. hey

  1544. what's

  1545. up

  1546. man

  1547. I'm

  1548. going

  1549. there

  1550. you

  1551. go

  1552. there

  1553. you

  1554. go

  1555. there

  1556. you

  1557. go

  1558. there

  1559. you

  1560. go

  1561. and

  1562. the

  1563. reason

  1564. why

  1565. we're

  1566. so

  1567. struggling

  1568. at the

  1569. bottom

  1570. of

  1571. the

  1572. pit

  1573. the

  1574. reason

  1575. why

  1576. we're

  1577. so

  1578. struggling

  1579. in that

  1580. moment

  1581. right

  1582. it's

  1583. because

  1584. the

  1585. intimacy

  1586. there

  1587. has

  1588. been

  1589. lost

  1590. don't

  1591. confuse

  1592. and

  1593. think

  1594. that

  1595. intimacy

  1596. with

  1597. Christ

  1598. is

  1599. going

  1600. to

  1601. be

  1602. gained

  1603. through

  1604. the

  1605. spiritual

  1606. works

  1607. that

  1608. you

  1609. do

  1610. but

  1611. the

  1612. intimacy

  1613. with

  1614. Christ

  1615. is

  1616. going

  1617. to

  1618. be

  1619. found

  1620. in

  1621. the

  1622. depth

  1623. of

  1624. your

  1625. relationship

  1626. with

  1627. him

  1628. right

  1629. the

  1630. intimacy

  1631. that

  1632. my

  1633. wife

  1634. and

  1635. I

  1636. have

  1637. together

  1638. is

  1639. found

  1640. in

  1641. the

  1642. mingling

  1643. of

  1644. our

  1645. souls

  1646. and

  1647. the

  1648. time

  1649. that

  1650. is

  1651. spent

  1652. and

  1653. the

  1654. understanding

  1655. that

  1656. we

  1657. have

  1658. with

  1659. each

  1660. other

  1661. right

  1662. don't

  1663. miss

  1664. that

  1665. with

  1666. Jesus

  1667. and

  1668. the

  1669. last

  1670. thing

  1671. she

  1672. honors

  1673. him

  1674. she

  1675. honors

  1676. him

  1677. she

  1678. anointed

  1679. his

  1680. feet

  1681. with

  1682. oil

  1683. here's

  1684. what

  1685. she's

  1686. saying

  1687. all

  1688. that

  1689. is

  1690. mine

  1691. is

  1692. yours

  1693. all

  1694. that

  1695. is

  1696. mine

  1697. is

  1698. yours

  1699. all

  1700. that

  1701. is

  1702. mine

  1703. is

  1704. yours

  1705. and

  1706. I'm

  1707. putting

  1708. it

  1709. on

  1710. your

  1711. feet

  1712. do

  1713. with

  1714. it

  1715. as

  1716. you

  1717. please

  1718. right

  1719. the

  1720. depth

  1721. of

  1722. the

  1723. level

  1724. of

  1725. trust

  1726. she

  1727. honors

  1728. to

  1729. Jesus

  1730. I

  1731. want

  1732. to

  1733. ask

  1734. you

  1735. a

  1736. question

  1737. in

  1738. your

  1739. life

  1740. what

  1741. are

  1742. you

  1743. holding

  1744. on

  1745. to

  1746. that

  1747. is

  1748. valuable

  1749. to

  1750. you

  1751. but

  1752. needs

  1753. to

  1754. be

  1755. splurged

  1756. on

  1757. Jesus

  1758. that

  1759. needs

  1760. to

  1761. be

  1762. just

  1763. wasted

  1764. on

  1765. him

  1766. this

  1767. year

  1768. my

  1769. family

  1770. and

  1771. I

  1772. we

  1773. took

  1774. a

  1775. challenge

  1776. and

  1777. our

  1778. challenge

  1779. was

  1780. we

  1781. all

  1782. got

  1783. the

  1784. same

  1785. chronological

  1786. Bible

  1787. and

  1788. the

  1789. challenge

  1790. was

  1791. that

  1792. we

  1793. were

  1794. going

  1795. to

  1796. read

  1797. through

  1798. the

  1799. Bible

  1800. together

  1801. as

  1802. a

  1803. family

  1804. and

  1805. then

  1806. continue

  1807. to

  1808. have

  1809. discussions

  1810. about

  1811. what

  1812. we

  1813. read

  1814. and

  1815. the

  1816. good

  1817. news

  1818. is

  1819. for

  1820. my

  1821. family

  1822. is

  1823. we've

  1824. got

  1825. two

  1826. rule

  1827. followers

  1828. who

  1829. are

  1830. like

  1831. every

  1832. day

  1833. like

  1834. they're

  1835. trying

  1836. to

  1837. get

  1838. ahead

  1839. they're

  1840. trying

  1841. to

  1842. work

  1843. toward

  1844. that

  1845. and

  1846. then

  1847. we

  1848. have

  1849. I'm

  1850. kind

  1851. of

  1852. journaling

  1853. some

  1854. things

  1855. as

  1856. we

  1857. go

  1858. through

  1859. and

  1860. I

  1861. want

  1862. to

  1863. read

  1864. to

  1865. you

  1866. what

  1867. happened

  1868. on

  1869. January

  1870. the

  1871. 11th

  1872. on

  1873. January

  1874. the

  1875. 11th

  1876. the

  1877. chronological

  1878. Bible

  1879. that

  1880. I'm

  1881. reading

  1882. brought

  1883. me

  1884. to

  1885. Genesis

  1886. 20

  1887. 23

  1888. Abraham

  1889. and

  1890. Isaac

  1891. the

  1892. son

  1893. that

  1894. he

  1895. had

  1896. longed

  1897. for

  1898. the

  1899. son

  1900. that

  1901. God

  1902. had

  1903. promised

  1904. him

  1905. the

  1906. hope

  1907. of

  1908. everything

  1909. that

  1910. he

  1911. had

  1912. and

  1913. in

  1914. that

  1915. moment

  1916. I

  1917. want

  1918. to

  1919. be

  1920. honest

  1921. with

  1922. you

  1923. moment

  1924. of

  1925. transparency

  1926. I

  1927. opened

  1928. it

  1929. up

  1930. that

  1931. morning

  1932. and

  1933. I

  1934. thought

  1935. man

  1936. I

  1937. read

  1938. this

  1939. before

  1940. I

  1941. probably

  1942. preached

  1943. this

  1944. story

  1945. more

  1946. than

  1947. any

  1948. other

  1949. Old

  1950. Testament

  1951. story

  1952. God

  1953. said

  1954. dummy

  1955. read

  1956. it

  1957. so

  1958. I

  1959. read

  1960. it

  1961. and

  1962. here's

  1963. God

  1964. gave

  1965. me

  1966. it's

  1967. a

  1968. question

  1969. question

  1970. was

  1971. this

  1972. with

  1973. what

  1974. sacrifice

  1975. are

  1976. you

  1977. trusting

  1978. God

  1979. not

  1980. with

  1981. what

  1982. convenience

  1983. but

  1984. what

  1985. sacrifice

  1986. God

  1987. looked at

  1988. Abraham

  1989. and he

  1990. said

  1991. everything

  1992. that

  1993. you've

  1994. hoped

  1995. for

  1996. everything

  1997. that

  1998. you've

  1999. been

  2000. promised

  2001. everything

  2002. that

  2003. you

  2004. and

  2005. your

  2006. wife

  2007. have

  2008. prayed

  2009. for

  2010. is

  2023. he's

  2027. I get

  2028. it

  2029. I'm

  2030. there

  2031. with you

  2032. on the

  2033. personal

  2034. battles

  2035. and the

  2036. things

  2043. I get

  2044. it

  2045. I get

  2046. it

  2047. it'd be

  2048. easy

  2049. to say

  2050. we walk

  2051. out of

  2052. here

  2053. and we're

  2054. all going

  2055. to be

  2056. the Roman

  2057. centurion

  2058. and God's

  2059. going to

  2060. do that

  2061. it'd be

  2062. easy

  2063. to say

  2064. hey

  2065. we're

  2066. all

  2067. the

  2068. widow

  2069. whose

  2070. son

  2071. has

  2074. we

  2075. walk

  2076. out

  2077. of

  2078. here

  2079. it's

  2080. all

  2081. going

  2082. to

  2083. happen

  2084. in

  2085. that

  2086. pit

  2087. that

  2088. you

  2089. find

  2093. the

  2095. of

  2098. of

  2099. the

  2104. Jesus

  2105. is

  2106. in

  2107. our

  2109. for

  2110. us

  2111. in

  2112. this

  2113. moment

  2114. in

  2115. scripture

  2116. and

  2117. for

  2118. us

  2119. my

  2120. grace

  2121. is

  2122. sufficient

  2123. for

  2124. you

  2125. my

  2126. grace

  2127. is

  2128. sufficient

  2129. for

  2130. you

  2131. for

  2132. my

  2133. power

  2134. is

  2135. made

  2136. perfect

  2137. in

  2138. weakness

  2139. would

  2140. you pray

  2141. with

  2142. me

  2143. God

  2144. I

  2145. just

  2146. pray

  2147. for

  2148. us

  2149. as

  2150. a

  2151. people

  2152. Lord

  2153. for

  2154. myself

  2155. as

  2156. I

  2157. go

  2158. through

  2159. seasons

  2160. and

  2161. moments

  2162. and

  2163. days

  2164. of

  2165. life

  2166. where

  2167. Lord

  2168. I

  2169. feel

  2170. and

  2171. I'm

  2172. wrestling

  2173. because

  2174. what

  2175. I

  2176. hope

  2177. for

  2178. what

  2179. I

  2180. long

  2181. for

  2182. God

  2183. all

  2184. that

  2185. I

  2186. want

  2187. Lord

  2188. all

  2189. that

  2190. I

  2191. need

  2192. all

  2193. that

  2194. I

  2195. feel

  2196. that

  2197. needs

  2198. to

  2199. bring

  2200. me

  2201. happiness

  2202. here

  2203. on

  2204. this

  2205. earth

  2206. Lord

  2207. all

  2208. that

  2209. I

  2210. feel

  2211. like

  2212. I

  2213. deserve

  2214. of

  2215. what

  2216. I've

  2217. done

  2218. as

  2219. I've

  2220. poured

  2221. out

  2222. my

  2223. prayers

  2224. and

  2225. done

  2226. my

  2227. religious

  2228. works

  2229. and

  2230. I've

  2231. given

  2232. my

  2233. offering

  2234. and

  2235. laid

  2236. down

  2237. my

  2238. sacrifice

  2239. Lord

  2240. and

  2241. all

  2242. of

  2243. these

  2244. things

  2245. and

  2246. so

  2247. God

  2248. I

  2249. feel

  2250. that

  2251. Lord

  2252. you

  2253. owe

  2254. me

  2255. this

  2256. and

  2257. God

  2258. if

  2259. I'm

  2260. not

  2261. anger

  2262. and

  2263. frustration

  2264. God

  2265. your

  2266. love

  2267. for us

  2268. allows

  2269. weaknesses

  2270. your

  2271. love

  2272. for us

  2273. allows

  2274. insults

  2275. allows

  2276. hardships

  2277. allows

  2278. persecution

  2279. allows

  2280. calamities

  2281. Lord

  2282. because

  2283. for when

  2284. I am

  2285. weak

  2286. and

  2287. I'm

  2288. strong

  2289. for

  2290. when

  2291. I

  2292. am

  2293. weak

  2294. there's

  2295. no

  2296. longer

  2297. me

  2298. who

  2299. I

  2300. depend

  2301. on

  2302. but

  2303. it

  2304. is

  2305. you

  2306. who

  2307. I

  2308. press

  2309. into

  2310. for

  2311. God

  2312. when

  2313. I

  2314. am

  2315. weak

  2316. you

  2317. are

  2318. glorified

  2319. so

  2320. Lord

  2321. I

  2322. just

  2323. come

  2324. to

  2325. you

  2326. this

  2327. morning

  2328. thanking

  2329. you

  2330. for

  2331. the

  2332. suffering

  2333. that

  2334. is

  2335. brought

  2336. to

  2337. us

  2338. thanking

  2339. you

  2340. that

  2341. we

  2342. don't

  2343. always

  2344. get

  2345. our

  2346. way

  2347. thanking

  2348. you

  2349. for

  2350. the

  2351. hardships

  2352. that

  2353. come

  2354. because

  2355. Lord

  2356. you're

  2357. refining

  2358. us

  2359. and

  2360. you're

  2361. working

  2362. in

  2363. us

  2364. we

  2365. praise

  2366. you

  2367. for

  2368. it

  2369. it's

  2370. in

  2371. Jesus

  2372. name

  2373. we

  2374. pray

  2375. amen

  2376. we're

  2377. going to

  2378. stand

  2379. in

  2380. just a

  2381. moment

  2382. to

  2383. respond

  2384. and

  2385. worship

  2386. I

  2387. want to

  2388. encourage

  2389. you

  2390. maybe

  2391. you've

  2392. got

  2393. that

  2394. battle

  2395. you've

  2396. got

  2397. that

  2398. situation

  2399. that

  2400. you're

  2401. facing

  2402. maybe

  2403. you need

  2404. to come

  2405. down

  2406. front

  2407. this

  2408. morning

  2409. maybe

  2410. you need

  2411. to line

  2412. up

  2413. in

  2414. front

  2415. of

  2416. the

  2417. stage

  2418. maybe

  2419. you

  2420. need

  2421. to kneel

  2422. down

  2423. at

  2424. your

  2425. seat

  2426. maybe

  2427. you

  2428. just

  2429. need

  2430. to

  2431. have

  2432. your

  2433. moment

  2434. with

  2435. the

  2436. Lord

  2437. here's

  2438. I'll

  2439. say

  2440. like

  2441. if

  2442. there's

  2443. that

  2444. peace

  2445. in

  2446. you

  2447. that

  2448. says

  2449. not

  2450. wait

  2451. till

  2452. you

  2453. get

  2454. home

  2455. don't

  2456. wait

  2457. don't

  2458. wait

  2459. lay

  2460. on

  2461. the

  2462. altar

  2463. what is

  2464. closest

  2465. what's

  2466. most

  2467. value

  2468. where

  2469. all

  2470. your

  2471. hope

  2472. and

  2473. all

  2474. your

  2475. joy

  2476. in

  2477. this

  2478. earth

  2479. is

  2480. found

  2481. let

  2482. say

  2483. God

  2484. you

  2485. have

  2486. it

  2487. you

  2488. have

  2489. it

  2490. maybe

  2491. you

  2492. need

  2493. to

  2494. come

  2495. down

  2496. front

  2497. maybe

  2498. you

  2499. kneel

  2500. right

  2501. where

  2502. you're

  2503. at

  2504. I'll

  2505. be

  2506. at

  2507. the

  2508. very

  2509. back

  2510. maybe

  2511. you

  2512. need

  2513. to

  2514. come

  2515. pray

  2516. with

  2517. me

  2518. just

  2519. respond

  2520. to

  2521. the

  2522. Lord

  2523. God

  2524. we

  2525. thank

  2526. you

  2527. for

  2528. this

  2529. opportunity

  2530. God

  2531. we

  2532. thank

  2533. you

  2534. for

  2535. this

  2536. moment

  2537. in

  2539. where

  2540. we

  2541. can

  2542. come

  2543. before

  2544. you

  2545. and

  2546. we

  2547. thank
