Welcome to the Love One Another podcast from Beach point Church.
-
This series is designed to help you stay connected to what we're learning in 1 Corinthians, whether you are listening on your commute, going for a run, or using it alongside the printed journal as a listening guide.
-
Jesus gave his disciples a simple but radical command.
-
In John 13, 34, he said, love one another as I have loved you.
-
So you must love one another.
-
And that's the heartbeat of this whole series.
-
It's not about sentimental love.
-
It's cross-shaped love.
-
The kind that serves, sacrifices, and seeks the good of others.
-
The church in Corinth struggled with division, pride, and immorality, but Paul did not give up on them.
-
He reminded them that their foundation was Christ crucified, the very expression of God's love.
-
And through this letter, he called them to let love reshape how they lived, how they spoke, led, and even worship.
-
So over the next 10 weeks, we will explore those same themes together.
-
In each episode, we'll walk through passages from 1 Corinthians with love as our lens.
-
We are not aiming to become a perfect church, but a unified one.
-
We want to be a healthy church, a community marked by humble, sacrificial, spirit-led love.
-
You know, there's something fresh and exciting about beginning something new.
-
And we hope that you feel that as you step into this series.
-
And remember, you're not doing it alone, but with your church family.
-
So if you're not yet part of a life group, we encourage you to reach out and get connected.
-
Your private devotional time is important.
-
As we know, it's life-giving and essential to our relationship with Jesus.
-
But in community, we get the chance to practice what we are learning, to extend the love we are receiving and to grow together in Christ ultimately.
-
So thanks for starting.
-
on the platform that you are listening from.
-
God bless.
