Thank you for listening to this message from Life House Church.
-
Good morning, Life House.
-
Good morning.
-
Turn to someone give them a high five.
-
Tell them it's good to be in God's house this morning.
-
Amen.
-
Amen.
-
Listen, that was great worship.
-
You were worshiping the Lord.
-
We felt God's presence.
-
So if the preaching stinks, you can say it was good being God's house this morning.
-
Right.
-
Yeah, we've just we've just seen that rise in the last several weeks here at the church,
-
man.
-
We just feel God's presence just flood the place when worship is taking place.
-
And that's because you're coming in with expectation, right?
-
You come in ready to worship the king.
-
And that's God inhabits all that.
-
So just thank you for coming with hearts and minds ready to go, ready to worship the Lord
-
this morning.
-
And I also want to say good morning to each shore.
-
And if you're listening to us online this morning and I just want to encourage you,
-
if you've not been water baptized, if that's not something you've engaged in and you've
-
come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life, it is the next step.
-
It's what you should do.
-
And we'd love to talk to you about that.
-
Or even I get asked this all the time.
-
Maybe you walked away from God for a period of time and you feel like you need to get
-
baptized again.
-
We're all about that.
-
Maybe you were baptized as a child and didn't really know what you were doing.
-
And you want it.
-
You want to do it with the full knowledge of what it's all about.
-
We want to talk to you.
-
We want to want you to get involved and we want you to be baptized because Jesus said
-
to do this right.
-
He showed us.
-
He set the example in God's word.
-
And it's super important and we love it.
-
It's a celebration.
-
So just be encouraged.
-
We want you to do that this morning.
-
I was going to read even a verse out of Acts chapter two said.
-
And Peter said to them, repent and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus
-
Christ for the remission of your sin.
-
And you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
-
You can see it in that one verse.
-
Right.
-
Repentance, water baptism and the Holy Spirit.
-
All of it.
-
So it's the next step.
-
If you haven't been baptized, get involved, find out about it.
-
If you want more information, we want to get in touch with you.
-
Get registered online.
-
Amen.
-
I'm Rob.
-
Done with my commercial.
-
I promise.
-
All right.
-
I love baptism.
-
All right.
-
So most of the messages that you've heard over the last month, month and a half have
-
been geared around the kingdom of God.
-
And you might say, well, isn't every message kind of about the kingdom of God?
-
Right.
-
Isn't that kind of a generic thing?
-
Well, these messages have been specific.
-
They've been about how it works in the kingdom or how it doesn't work in the kingdom of God.
-
And we understand that we need to know that because the kingdom we live in currently is
-
not fully the kingdom of God.
-
Right.
-
You know, sir, not but you live in a physical kingdom.
-
Right.
-
You live on planet Earth.
-
Tell somebody right now I live on planet Earth.
-
Come on.
-
Tell them right now.
-
Inform.
-
All right.
-
You live on planet.
-
How many don't live on planet Earth?
-
That's what I want to know.
-
Here's why we got one.
-
OK, we got an alien among us.
-
All right.
-
We live on planet Earth.
-
We're in this physical kingdom and there's the kingdom of God, which if you're saved,
-
the kingdom of God is in you.
-
But we're not fully there yet.
-
We're not in God's presence yet.
-
And sometimes it's a little hard to navigate between two kingdoms.
-
It's a little hard to think about.
-
I remember when years ago, two decades ago now, the first time I went to Mexico City,
-
Mexico, I remember flying in.
-
Right.
-
And I'm just soaking it all in.
-
I'm looking out the plane.
-
I want to see, you know, the landscape.
-
What's different?
-
Because I had not I'm not real well traveled.
-
And it was one of my first times going out of the country.
-
And I remember flying into Mexico City, Mexico.
-
And I'm thinking this is going to be great.
-
It's going to be awesome.
-
So we got off the plane and we went across in this hallway heading towards customs.
-
And I realized really quickly that I was in a different kingdom because, you know, in
-
the United States, you just go to baggage, you go to customs, whatever.
-
Well, when I got off, there was a guy that was in riot gear and he had what looked like
-
an AK 47.
-
And he just stared me down the hallway.
-
And I'm like, I am not in Kansas anymore.
-
All right.
-
I am in a different kingdom.
-
And I remember that clearly.
-
Now, it's not like that.
-
Now, when you go, I've been there since.
-
But I remember that.
-
And it's a different world.
-
Right.
-
When you when you go there, it seems like you're in a different kingdom.
-
It's a different language.
-
A lot of times there's different customs.
-
A lot of times there's different laws that apply a lot of different times.
-
And there's a learning curve when you go into a different country, you should investigate
-
before you go.
-
And then you learn as you're there that things aren't the same.
-
Well, if you're saved and you know, Jesus is Lord and Savior.
-
You belong to two kingdoms.
-
You've got dual citizenship.
-
All right.
-
You are in this physical kingdom, but you're also in the kingdom of God.
-
And I'm a citizen here.
-
And I understand a little bit how it runs here.
-
Right.
-
Here on planet Earth and all the crazy struggles and challenges that go along with that.
-
But because I'm in Jesus, I'm currently right.
-
A spiritual citizen of the kingdom of God and the kingdom of heaven.
-
And it's a kind of something with the kingdom without end.
-
Right.
-
A kingdom whose builder and maker is God.
-
And I've not fully experienced that kingdom yet.
-
I am in a spiritual sense.
-
But one day I'm going to be there with God himself.
-
Right.
-
And I can tell you that everything I've experienced in the kingdom of God to date is seriously
-
better than the physical kingdom that I live in on planet Earth here.
-
Right.
-
There are gifts in the kingdom.
-
There are God moves in the kingdom.
-
There is life in the kingdom.
-
Everything on this earth that you experience is either in a state of decay or is heading
-
towards death.
-
I don't know if you know that or not.
-
I know that's not such good news.
-
Right.
-
But it's true.
-
So the journey through the last few weeks over the last month and a half has been discovering
-
more about how it works in the kingdom of God versus the kingdom of man.
-
Right.
-
And we've learned some things along the way.
-
We learned that miracles happen in the kingdom of God when we take what's in our hand.
-
We place it into God's hand.
-
He blesses it.
-
He breaks it.
-
Right.
-
And then he multiplies it, which blows our minds.
-
We we get all excited because that's a miracle.
-
And God's like, well, that always happens with anything.
-
It's in my hands.
-
Anything that goes in his hands.
-
We learned that we learned that that unbelief can keep you from God's preferred future for
-
you.
-
We learned that as you come into the kingdom of God, you got to approach the kingdom of
-
God just like a child.
-
Right.
-
All in arms open.
-
We learned that bad and good both come into the kingdom of God.
-
A matter of fact, it's not about whether you're bad or whether you're good.
-
It's about the proposal that God makes.
-
And today we're going to learn one more thing about the kingdom of God.
-
So if you got your Bible, I want you to turn to Hebrews chapter 11.
Hebrews 11 chapter mention
-
We're going to start off verse one.
-
Hebrews chapter 11 verse one is your turn.
Hebrews 11 chapter mention
-
I'm going to pray this morning over the reading of God's word.
-
Lord, we're grateful for this day.
-
I thank you, Lord, for all God that you speak into our lives.
-
We thank you for your presence, God, that we felt so strongly this morning.
-
God, we ask, Lord, that this word would penetrate our hearts and our minds and God, it would
-
guide us and direct us to grow closer to you and Lord, to learn more about the kingdom
-
of God.
-
In Jesus name.
-
Amen.
-
Amen.
-
All right.
-
Hebrews 11 says this, now faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things
-
not seen for by it, the elders obtained a good testimony.
-
How did the elders get a good testimony by what?
-
Faith, right?
-
Verse three says by faith, we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God
-
so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.
-
These first two verses give us critical information of how faith in God and in the kingdom of
-
God works, right?
-
Faith in God in the kingdom of God is a result of what I understand about God.
-
If I understand the right things about God, if I understand the truth about God, if I
-
really start to grasp and get my head around who God is and the things of God in this at
-
tributes, my faith in God rises.
-
My faith in God will actually be full.
-
It will be complete.
-
And this is important because a lot of people think that faith in God is a crazy thing.
-
If you go talk to people in the world and somebody that doesn't know Jesus, they kind
-
of look at Christians as fools.
-
They'll say you're foolish.
-
They'll say you just got this blind belief system and a supernatural thing that's out
-
there somewhere in the cosmos, right?
-
Some people think that for Christians it's just a mental escape mechanism for life, right?
-
They believe it's a fairy tale and we tell ourselves the fairy tale just to soothe our
-
troubled souls.
-
That's how some people look at Christians in the world.
-
That somehow Christians are just people who are looking for something to believe in, right?
-
Something that's going to give us abundant life that's out there somewhere that sounds
-
like a good idea.
-
So we talk about it.
-
We preach about it.
-
We sing about it, right?
-
My faith in God is somehow this happy pie in the sky idea that I'm hoping for abundant
-
life in.
-
That it's right.
-
That it's not well placed, right?
-
It's I wish I may.
-
I wish I might.
-
Is that the right phrase?
-
Isn't that right?
-
It's not a well placed notion.
-
It's in some random force, some light, some life, some orb, some energy that's out there,
-
right?
-
May the force be with you, right?
-
That kind of thing.
-
That's what they believe.
-
It's a blind hope.
-
Faith is not, my faith in God is not based on some fantasy.
-
It's not based on some random idea, right?
-
My faith in God is based on who I know and what I know about God.
-
It's based on, if you get to a place where you start to understand that the things that
-
are visible were made by a God who we cannot see at the moment, but when you start to understand
-
who He is, your faith begins to rise.
-
The last thing that it is based on is fantasy.
-
The last thing it's based on is just some random idea or something that I do just to
-
soothe myself.
-
Because you've got to understand some things about God.
-
God is infinite.
-
Say infinite.
-
He is self-existing.
-
He is without origin.
-
He's without a beginning.
-
He's without an end, right?
-
I almost said orange there.
-
He's without an origin.
-
He doesn't have a beginning and He doesn't have an end.
-
He always was.
-
He always is and He always will be.
-
We can't name one thing.
-
You couldn't come up with one thing you could name on this earth that always was, always
-
is and always will be, right?
-
Anything here in the house, anything of the shore, anything you come up with online, all
-
you do has a beginning and an end, right?
-
How many in the house have a birthday?
-
Raise your hand.
-
I've got people who are not raising their hands.
-
You have a birthday.
-
You've got a point of origin.
-
You were born and you was, you is right now.
-
That's why you're here.
-
You is.
-
Some day you will be but some day you won't be.
-
Amen?
-
It's true.
-
You've got a point of origin.
-
You've got a beginning and you've got an end.
-
We don't want to talk about the end stuff, right?
-
That end date will come and you know that for real, right?
-
I could ask you another question.
-
How many people in the house here are over 150 years of age?
-
Raise your hand right now.
-
Oh, right, right.
-
There's living proof, right?
-
There's an end.
-
There's a beginning and end.
-
We're finite in everything.
-
It's not God.
-
God is infinite.
-
He always was.
-
He always is.
-
He always will be.
-
Always.
-
He's always done things more abundantly because he's always been around.
-
He can do more by himself in a moment than we can do individually or collectively as
-
humanity in a lifetime.
-
He can do in one minute.
-
He is.
-
He's infinite in everything that he does.
-
He's more powerful than anything that you know or anyone that you know.
-
It is not blind faith.
-
It's understanding who he is, right?
-
It's understanding what he can do.
-
I never cease to be amazed by God's infinite power.
-
I really don't.
-
You know, I think sometimes, especially the older I get, you know, it gets to be a little
-
more of a task to do things in life sometimes, right?
-
You just trying to get to bed, get a nap for eight hours, right?
-
I call it the nap you take every day.
-
You got to get that go to bed and you try to get up in the morning, get yourself moving,
-
right?
-
Look in the mirror, brush your teeth, right?
-
And go out there and try to get a cup of coffee just to get you rolling in the morning.
-
Well, while you were doing all that, God brings the sun up in the sky and you look out the
-
window and He paints a picture every single morning with the sunrise, right?
-
If it's the winter time, I've come out and He's painted the entire landscape with snow
-
and artists take years studying just to try to duplicate on a piece of canvas, right?
-
Remember a photographer tries to duplicate what God does just automatically.
-
He's infinite.
-
What you're just trying to get rolling, He's changed the whole world in a moment, man.
-
He's infinite.
-
He's also immutable.
-
Say immutable.
-
Some of you said that, you don't even know what it means.
-
He's immutable.
-
He never changes.
-
He doesn't have to.
-
He was sheer perfection at the beginning.
-
He still is and He always will be.
-
I mean, no, you don't need to change if you're sheer perfection.
-
Some of you are like, yep, that's right.
-
You don't need to change.
-
You're not.
-
But you don't need to change if you're sheer perfection.
-
We change, right?
-
We need to change.
-
Amen?
-
Most everything about me falls short of perfect and needs to change.
-
Honey, thank you for knowing I'm saying amen.
-
I was waiting for you to say amen, right?
-
And the fact is you're changing for the better at any given moment or you're changing for
-
the worse, right?
-
You're changing all the time because you need to because you're not in a state of perfection,
-
right?
-
You're not immutable like God is.
-
If you don't believe that, you're over the age of 40, get a photo album out.
-
Check yourself out at age 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, right?
-
The older you get, you get over 40, you look at those pictures like, I look like that?
-
All right?
-
Man, some things have changed.
-
Listen, one of the reasons I have faith in God is because he does not change.
-
He's not shifting.
-
I'm not sure about you, right?
-
You could change tomorrow about something.
-
You probably aren't too sure about me because you know I could change something tomorrow,
-
right?
-
But he never changes.
-
He's immutable.
-
Malachi 3, 6 says this, for I am the Lord, I change not.
-
Hebrews 13, 7 says, remember them which have the rule over you who have spoken unto you
-
the word of God whose faith follow considering the end of their conversation, Jesus Christ
-
the same yesterday, today, and say it with me, forever.
-
Forever.
-
He's immutable.
-
He does not change.
-
You can take it to the bank, you can count on it every single day.
-
He will not change even if you want him to change.
-
Do you ever pray for God to change or change his mind?
-
He's not going to do it.
-
He's the same yesterday, today, and forever.
-
He's infinite and he's immutable.
-
And I'm going to give you just a couple things rapid fire because if I preached on all the
-
things that God is and his attributes, we'd be here until well into the afternoon, right?
-
But here's some things about God that you need to understand.
-
And if you understand, you'll get your head around who he is.
-
I can tell you right now that your faith will begin to rise.
-
As a matter of fact, it will just explode, right?
-
Because God is self-sufficient.
-
He doesn't need anyone.
-
He doesn't need anything on the outside.
-
He's self-sustaining in every single way, right?
-
He's omnipotent.
-
He has all power.
-
He has no power shortage in any area of his life.
-
He is omniscient.
-
He is all-knowing.
-
How many know he never gets stumped with a trivia question?
-
God's never like, hmm, wonder what the answer to that is, right?
-
He's omnipresent.
-
He is always everywhere.
-
Get your head around that, right?
-
He's always everywhere.
-
He has perfect wisdom.
-
He is always faithful even when we are not.
-
He is good.
-
All things good.
-
He is just.
-
He always has the right answer.
-
He is merciful, gracious, loving, holy, glorious, and for the icing on the cake, he cannot fail.
-
It's impossible for God to fail.
-
He has all these things excessively and always, forever.
-
Now let me ask you something.
-
How hard is it to have faith in someone like that?
-
Come on.
-
He's got it all.
-
And if you begin to understand who God really is, right?
-
It's pretty hard not to have complete faith in him.
-
If you start to get your head around, I don't know if you know this, but you can know this
-
and experience this in God, that he has all these things, right?
-
Not everyone else does.
-
Nobody else in your life does.
-
Anybody around you, if you're going to have faith in someone, have faith in God.
-
Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.
-
Do you know why that happens?
-
Because the word of God is all about who God is.
-
When you start understanding who he is, your faith will explode.
-
It's not a stretch.
-
It's not a fantasy.
-
It's not a hopeful wish on my side.
-
It's based on the knowledge of I know who God is, right?
-
He is God.
-
Have knowledge.
-
Experience Him.
-
If you're going to talk to somebody and you want them to become a person of faith, just
-
start telling them about who God is.
-
Just start testifying about what he can do.
-
That's why we testify, right?
-
We tell people what God can do and what he has done.
-
It's because it's true and it's who he is.
-
Let me read some more.
-
Hebrews 11 says this, by faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain,
-
through which he obtained witness and that he was righteous.
-
God testifying of his gifts and through it being dead still speaks.
-
By faith Enoch, say Enoch.
-
Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death and was not found because God had taken
-
him.
-
For before he was taken, he had this testimony that he pleased God.
-
But without faith it is impossible to please him, for he who comes to God must believe
-
that he is and that he is a reward of those who diligently seek him.
-
Now I really like Enoch because Enoch had so much faith in God, God just snatched him
-
off this earth.
-
God skipped the whole funeral thing.
-
He didn't go into the whole drama of drawing his last breath.
-
He didn't do anything.
-
He's like, you know what?
-
Enoch, you got so much faith, I'm just going to take you.
-
I'm just going to move you over into the kingdom of God.
-
One of the things we learn from Enoch when you read from this scripture is that the only
-
way to please God is by faith in God.
-
The only way you can please God is by faith in God.
-
It's the only way you can please him.
-
The only thing that brings God pleasure that you can provide is absolute complete faith
-
in him.
-
God is not like people.
-
People get pleased in all kinds of ways.
-
If I announced that next week if we put this out publicly and I put it on Facebook and
-
we put it in the newspaper, nobody reads the newspaper anymore, but if I put it in the
-
newspaper, if I put it online, if we send it out as a flyer somewhere around the neighborhood,
-
if we said you know what, next week you come into the life house, you get a gift, we're
-
going to have a crisp $100 bill for everybody in the house.
-
How many know we need some chairs next week?
-
Because gifts please people.
-
How many like to get a gift?
-
Amen.
-
It pleases people.
-
Acknowledgement, somebody's contribution, that pleases people.
-
Serving people sometimes pleases people.
-
Being served sometimes pleases people.
-
How many like to be served?
-
Come on that we won't submit it.
-
I know you all love to serve everybody else and nobody else likes to be served.
-
But it pleases people.
-
Time you spend, time spent with somebody, sometimes that's pleasing.
-
Words of affirmation are pleasing to you.
-
There's all kind of ways to please people.
-
But there's only one way to please God.
-
God has it all.
-
He doesn't need words of affirmation for you.
-
He's self-sustaining, remember?
-
He doesn't need that kind of boost.
-
He one thing pleases God.
-
One thing only, faith in Him.
-
You want God to take notice of you?
-
Just display faith in Him.
-
Speak faith in Him.
-
Live faith in Him.
-
Act as if you've got faith in Him.
-
It pleases God.
-
It's the only thing that pleases Him.
-
How do you get the guy that has everything something, right?
-
Let's go and please Him.
-
You have faith in Him.
-
You have faith in Him.
-
You have faith in Him.
-
Our work, listen, our work, our tenacity, our heart to serve, all those things should
-
be an outflow.
-
They should be a result of our faith in God.
-
We don't do those things to please God, right?
-
I can't work my way, because you got to be careful with all that, because you can try
-
to serve your way into heaven, you know that?
-
You can try to serve your way into God's good graces.
-
You can try to even pray your way into God's good graces.
-
And God says without faith, right, the word of God says it clearly, without faith it's
-
impossible to please God.
-
Faith has to come first.
-
Faith's got to be at the forefront.
-
I have faith in God, and because I've got faith in God, then I serve, right?
-
Then I give.
-
Then I do all the things that God wants me to do, but it all begins with faith.
-
It all begins with faith, because that's what pleases God.
-
It's true.
-
I'm going to close this morning by reading just a few more verses from those who had
-
faith.
-
And if you want to, you can go to Hebrews chapter 11, and it just names person after
Hebrews 11 chapter mention
-
person after person, and they're all people of faith.
-
And you'll see God do these great amazing things in our lives, and it's an outflow,
-
it's a result of their faith in God, right?
-
Hebrews 11, 7 says, by faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with
-
godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the
-
world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.
-
The boat, right?
-
The ship, the ark was a result of Noah's faith in God.
-
It was a result.

Verse 8 says, by faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which
-
would receive his inheritance, and he went out not knowing where he was going.
-
By faith he dwelt in the land of promises in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with
-
Isaac and Jacob, and heirs with him of the same promise.
-
For he waited for the city which has foundations whose builder and maker is what?
-
God.
-
He headed out not knowing where he was going or why he was going there necessarily.
-
He just knew God had a promise, and he had faith in God.
-
This chapter goes on and on and on.
-
I'm going to ask if you'd stand this morning.
-
I'll ask if you'd come.
-
This morning is all about faith in God.
-
And if your faith ever starts to get a little low, I kind of think faith is there or it
-
isn't.
-
So I'm just going to say it this way.
-
If your faith isn't there, right?
-
If it dissipates, because how many of you know if you don't have faith you got doubt?
-
Right?
-
One or the other.
-
You either got faith or doubt.
-
It's kind of light and dark, that kind of thing.
-
But if your faith is gone and you're in the valley of doubt, if you're in a place where
-
you're just not believing God, all you have to do is begin to remind yourself who he is.
-
All you got to do is go back and understand what he can do and the power that he has.
-
You start to do those kind of things and all of a sudden faith appears.
-
All of a sudden you have faith in God.
-
The word of God says, Jesus said this right, as soon as faith appears you can move them
-
out.
-
You can do things, you can start believing things and God starts doing things because
-
the only thing that pleases God is what?
-
Faith.
-
It's the only thing that pleases God.
-
I remember Pastor Jack Kyler, he's gone on to be with the Lord.
-
I remember him when I was young in ministry.
-
He used to come up to me and he'd tell me, Kip, everything's about faith in God.
-
I'd be like, okay Pastor Kyler.
-
I think there's a lot of other stuff in the Bible, Pastor Kyler.
-
He goes, no, it's all about faith.
-
He said it's all about faith and I'm like, okay Pastor Kyler, but there's a...
-
He goes, no.
-
You don't understand.
-
It's all about faith.
-
He was right.
-
It's the only way to please God.
-
It starts and begins there.
-
Do you know the...
-
I'm going to set some of you free right now.
-
Do you know the only one you got to please in life is God?
-
It's God.
-
So many times we're trying to please everybody else and everything else and the only one
-
you have to please is God.
-
If you please God, He will give you favor with others.
-
I don't know if you know that or not.
-
We get it all mixed up.
-
We get it all backwards.
-
You got to please Him.
-
You ready to pray this morning?
-
Now I love this because I'm preaching to a house full of people of faith.
-
I know that.
-
But I'm going to ask you to do this.
-
I'm going to ask you to bow your heads.
-
I want to take a moment just in case there's someone in the house who has never heard about
-
all the attributes of God.
-
They did not know that He has all power.
-
They did not realize that He knows all things.
-
And I didn't even catch some of the attributes like the whole idea that God has love.
-
And He not just has love, He is love, the word of God says.
-
And that He loves you with everlasting love.
-
That one of the things that He did to provide with you is that He sent His only Son to die
-
on a cross so you could be free and so you could come into relationship with a holy God
-
who has all these characteristics and wants to walk with you.
-
And if that's you here this morning and you want to know Jesus is Lord and Savior, you
-
can.
-
The word of God says all you have to do is believe.
-
That's have faith in Him.
-
And He comes to be Lord and Savior in your life.
-
So with every head bowed and every eye closed, if that's you here this morning, I want you
-
to put your hand up, put it right back down.
-
If you want to, if you're saying today, I want the Lord in my life.
-
I want, I want, I want to serve this God.
-
I want to follow this God.
-
I want to be part, put your hand up right now.
-
If you're online, you can type it in the chat this morning and they'll, the host will respond
-
to you and talk with you about that.
-
Thank you.
-
Now I'm asked to look back up at me.
-
I'm asked to do one last thing.
-
We are a people of faith.
-
If you know Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life, we are people of faith.
-
It's the only thing that pleases God.
-
I want us to come together.
-
We're going to, we're going to end this by praying and singing together this morning.
-
So if you'd come forward, come up as far as you can to the front.
-
I didn't preach real long.
-
We got a few minutes.
-
Make your way up.
-
Some of you aren't afraid of me.
-
Just come up close.
-
Pull up as tight as you can.
-
Some people slide in the back.
-
And I feel really pushed in my spirit that somebody does need set free from people pleasing.
-
Okay.
-
You know, there is such freedom in knowing that the only one that you have to please
-
is God.
-
People that get caught in people pleasing, you'll get pulled 45 directions.
-
You'll wear yourself out.
-
Right.
-
And you most of the time, you never please anybody or you only please a few people.
-
And you'll start that.
-
And then they get unpleased about something and you're starting to cycle all back over
-
again.
-
You're not there to cause them pleasure.
-
Their pleasure should be in the Lord just like yours.
-
Right.
-
So you start off pleasing God and it's crazy thing happens.
-
People, God will give you favor with other people.
-
That's just how it works.
-
You only got to focus on one thing.
-
Pleasing Him.
-
That's it.
-
That's it.
-
Right.
-
So all you got to do is have faith in Him.
-
It pleases God and then God lavishes upon you.
-
It's just crazy cycle.
-
It's simple.
-
We always over complicate God's word and it's so simple.
-
He made it so simple for us.
-
Amen.
-
So if you're here this morning and you know who you are, if you tend to people please.
-
Right.
-
You're not going to gain the favor of man.
-
Right.
-
If that's you, I'm here to tell you today, you've only got one to please and that is
-
the Lord Jesus Christ.
-
Just have faith in Him.
-
It's all it takes.
-
Father, we come to you today.
-
God, you know each person in the house.
-
God, Lord, you know who needs to be free this morning from people pleasing.
-
Lord, there's not an individual on the face of this planet that can save us.
-
There's not an individual who can speak to us.
-
There's not an individual who can carry us.
-
There's not an individual, God, who can save us from anything.
-
Lord, it is only you and God, we only need to please you.
-
So Lord, this morning we declare in our prayer and if you're here this morning, pray this.
-
We declare in our prayer that we have faith in you, Lord, whatever's in front of us, whatever's
-
behind us, whatever's beside us, whatever's below us and above us.
-
God, we declare right now in prayer with our own lips.
-
God, we declare to you, we've got faith in you.
-
Just say it, church, say it to them.
-
We've got faith in you.
-
We've got faith in you, Lord.
-
God, we're trusting you, Lord.
-
God, we're gonna quit trying to figure this out on our own.
-
We're gonna quit worrying about pleasing other people and Lord, we're just gonna listen and
-
look for you.
-
God, in Jesus' name, God, I pray for each person in the house.
-
God, to a place of freedom.
-
God, we get balled up, we get messed up, Lord, by the world and God, all the problems that
-
come in when the reality is we just need to please you.
-
We just need to please you.
-
God, you can take care of all the rest.
-
Can you do take care of all the rest?
-
And Lord, we just thank you, we give you praise.
-
In Jesus' name, in Jesus' name, Amen.
-
Listen, I've watched dear saints of God who have faith in God and it's funny, they'll
-
get into the deepest mess all going on all around them.
-
I don't know if you've ever met someone like this but they're in complete peace.
-
There's this deep strength that's within them and it's because they don't try to please
-
people.
-
They're just trusting in God.
-
They'll just say, listen, God's got it, right?
-
People get all messed up, they're like, you don't understand everything that's going on.
-
You don't know what's happening, right?
-
The sky is falling all around us.
-
And they're just like, yeah, it's okay, God's got it, right?
-
It's His guy, right?
-
He's got all power.
-
And there's this peace that settles upon them.
-
That's us.
-
It's the people of God.
-
I get caught in this just like anybody does.
-
I get looking at the stuff, I get looking at the circumstances, I get looking at the
-
troubles.
-
I'm just here to please Him.
-
Amen.
-
One job.
-
You got one job.
-
Say it, I got one job.
-
I got one job, right?
-
You got to please Him.
-
Amen.
-
Turn to somebody and tell them you got one job.
-
One job, one job.
-
God bless you.
-
We will see you here next week.
-
Memorial Day weekend.
-
Good job.
