Divine Interruption

Thank you for listening to this message from

to worship God. You sounded amazing, by the way.

Every single week we hear you singing praises

to God, and I know that's sweet savor in His

ears, and we love to hear it as well. And this

morning, I'm going to jump right into the message.

And if you got your Bibles and or your notebooks,

you can go ahead and begin to turn. If you've

got your Bibles and your notebooks, you can go

ahead and turn this morning to Luke chapter 5.

Luke 5 · chapter mention

Luke chapter 5, verse 1. And while we're turning,

Luke 5:1

we're going to pretend that didn't happen this

morning. Let me start off with a question. Is

there anyone out there who enjoys an interruption?

Our sound guys are awesome, all right? Our tech

guys. Does anybody like to be interrupted? If

you're out there, raise your hand if you like

getting interrupted. About, yeah, one of you.

Okay, right? You don't like to get it? All one

of you. You know, none of us enjoy getting an

interruption. We might tolerate it, right? We

kind of tolerate interruptions. Once, maybe twice.

Even three times, right? And I know there's a

lot of parents in here with small children who

are like, you don't understand. That is my way

of life, is interruptions. But how many of you

know it's a little different when an adult interrupts

you, right? And if an adult begins to interrupt

you in some way, you're like, okay, all right.

The first time, you're like, I'm all right. I'm

okay. But how many know about the fifth interruption?

You're like, I'm going to tackle you right now.

All right. I will tackle you. I will put you

down, and we're going to have a talk right now.

Right? And if there's a person who interrupts

us on the regular, if you've got somebody that

kind of regularly does that, and you see them

in a grocery store, what do you do? You go hide

in the ice cream aisle just so you don't have

to talk to them, right? You're just praying they

don't buy ice cream. You shoot down the aisle,

and you get out as quick as you can. And listen,

I can even take this a little bit further. If

you really want to find out what the effects

of being interrupted is all about and how it

can light people up and frustrate them, I want

you to try this out this week at home with somebody,

either while they're watching TV or actually,

particularly, if they're walking from you, away

from you, and they're going to another room.

until they get about two rooms away, and then

in a frantic moment go, hey, hey, come back,

come back, come back, and get them to come back.

And when they get back to you, just stop for

a few seconds and say, how far would you have

been if I wouldn't have called you back here?

And don't say another word, all right? How many

know you better duck, right? We don't like getting

interrupted. We don't like interrupted, interruptive

moments, right? Because it is so interruptive.

Right? Turn to somebody right now. Turn to somebody.

Look at the person beside you and say, don't

interrupt me. Just don't do it. Don't interrupt

me this morning, right? We don't like getting

interrupted. And interruptions can seem obnoxious.

They can seem irritating. They can seem frustrating.

They can even be downright aggravating. But many

times, it is the divine interruption that is

exactly what we need. to move us forward in life.

It is the divine interruption that can save our

lives, that can get our attention, and literally

shift the course of our lives, truly. And Jesus

uses divine interruption to move people all the

time from death to life. He really does. He will

interrupt you personally. He will interrupt you

corporately as a group of people. And He will

even interrupt you naturally. He will shake all

of heaven and earth. To turn your attention to

him with interruption. And how many know we don't

mind interruption so much if it's to save our

life? If I'm about to walk in front of a bus,

please feel free to interrupt me, okay? Stop

me. Grab my arm, yell my name, whatever you got.

Throw something at me, it doesn't matter what

it is, right? We don't mind those kind of interruptions.

And Jesus will personally interrupt us to keep

us from getting taken out. Jesus will personally

interrupt you. He'll get up close. He'll get

personal. He will get up in your business at

times. He will shake you down. He'll do what's

necessary because he loves us that much. He really

does. And he's not near as concerned about my

personal comfort or even my feelings in the moment.

I mean, we're all about feelings, right? He's

not all about our feelings in the moment. He's

more concerned about my eternal position, right?

He's more concerned about the eternal outcome

or even the temporary outcome in my life. And

he's very, very comfortable with turning up the

heat in my life to purify me, to draw out the

right elements in my life, to get me moving.

And he will do it. interruption. He'll do it.

He'll turn up the heat. A hundred years ago,

when I used to work in the elevator industry,

and it was about a hundred years ago, I used

to do something, and one of the tasks that I

used to do was part of is we would change the

cables on elevators. And they had these things

that, there's something called a shackle that

attaches to the elevator. And when you're putting

new cables in, you got to put the cable through

the shackle, bend the ends over, and then pull

it back in. This is how they do it old style.

And they did something in particular. Once you

pulled it back in, that wasn't an enough strength

to hold the entire weight of the elevator. So

what they did is they heated up a metal alloy.

And we would heat this metal alloy called babbit.

And it was funny because when you see this in

a chunk, right, it's just a chunk of metal that

you throw in a pot and you heat up. But when

you look at it, it's kind of dull and it's porous

and it doesn't look like much. And when you throw

it in that pot and you turn up the heat, right,

you interrupt its state, its solidified state,

and you turn the heat up. Something interesting

happens. It turns the most perfect silver you've

ever seen. Literally a reflective silver liquid.

But also at the same time, this material would

rise to the surface and it would turn black on

top of that silver metal that had liquefied.

And it was dross. It was garbage. And you would

have to take the garbage and take a ladle and

throw that off on the ground. And then you had

this... Perfect silver metal that was liquefied

and it had this red iridescent glow to it. And

that's what happens when Jesus interrupts us.

He'll come into your life. He will interrupt

you. He will turn up the heat in your life. And

all of a sudden, things begin to change. All

of a sudden, the sin in our life begins to come

to the surface, right? The black stuff comes

to the surface and it draws. But also when you

get that dross out. There's this perfect silver.

He begins to change things and purify us in our

lives. And in Luke chapter 5, which is where

we were going before we were so divinely interrupted

from the back. Those guys are awesome. They did

a great job. Give them a hand back there. Would

you do that? Come on. They do it every single

week. Luke chapter 5. Jesus is going to interrupt

several men at a place of employment. Actually,

their place of business. He's going to heat things

up. He's going to rock their world. and he's

going to mold them into something brand new.

Now, as we go into Luke chapter 5, I want you

to do something because sometimes we go into

scripture and we go to read a scripture. We just

read it and then we go to the next thing. I want

you just to picture in your mind. I know you

all got good imaginations out there, right? This

is just like kids club, you know, or uptown and

downtown. I want you to imagine a lake. I want

you to picture a lake in your mind. You can make

your lake look like any way you want, right?

I want you to picture a lake in your mind and

I want you to look down by the shoreline of the

lake and I want you to picture two boats there

and alongside of those two boats. maybe just

a little ways off, or a couple of fishermen,

about four of them, and they're cleaning nets.

They were out fishing all night and they're cleaning

nets and they're fishing. And then I want you

to see a man coming. It looks like the Son of

God. I want you to picture a man coming, and

behind him is a crowd following. This is the

scene in Luke chapter 5. How many of you see

it this morning? Come on. If you're listening

online, type it in the chat. I see it. Okay?

I want you to see it. Luke chapter 5 verse 1

Luke 5:1

says this. So it was, as the multitude pressed

about him to hear the word of God. And he stood

by the lake. This was Jesus. He was the guy walking

in. There was a crowd following him. The lake

of Gennesaret. And saw two boats standing by

the lake. But the fishermen had gone from them

and were washing their nets. And he got into

one of the boats, which was Simon's, and asked

them to put out a little bit from the land. Simon

Peter. His brother Andrew, they're all been out

fishing all night long along with two other gentlemen.

They're out trying to make money. They're not

out fishing for pleasure. They're not out just

for a relaxing evening. They're out trying to

do business. They're trying to catch fish. This

is their livelihood. This is what puts food on

the table literally for them. And they just made

zero dollars that evening. How many love making

zero dollars and working all day long, right?

Zero dollars. They're cleaning their nets. They're

tired. They're frustrated. They've lost money

all night long, right? And now they're left with

nothing but cleaning a bunch of nets, cleaning

the boats, complaining a little bit, and going

home and trying to get some sleep, right? And

a man walks up to him on the shoreline as they're

cleaning their nets and the boats with a crowd

of people following. And he hops into Simon Peter's

boat and interrupts the whole thing, right? And

it's Jesus. And he says, Peter, I need you just

to put out a little bit from shore. I need to

talk to these people. And it'll work great if

you just get me out a little bit on this lake

shoreline. I can speak back at the people. I

need you just to go out just a little bit. Now,

let's be honest. Sometimes we look at Scripture

and we're thinking it's all holy and pure and

everybody's thinking wonderful thoughts. And

I think, I wonder what I could, if you could

read Peter's mind at that moment, I wonder what

he was thinking, right? I'm tired. I've worked

all night. How many know he might, that seemed

like, maybe seemed like a very irritating interruption

at the moment. This guy that he doesn't know

comes and hops in his boat, not sure what he

was thinking at this time. But Peter goes on

with it. He's cooperatively, maybe irritated

and cooperative all at the same time, right?

And he's thinking, I'm going to do this. don't

really want to do this. I want to go home and

get some sleep, but I'm going to go ahead and

do it anyway. I'm going to hop in the boat. And

I think Peter was thinking those things. And

maybe even, it's amazing he didn't say anything,

because if you read anything about Peter in scripture,

how many know Peter was the one that was always

speaking out, speaking up, hopping in and hopping

out, right? He was always the first guy doing

that. But Jesus isn't worried about Peter's weariness.

He's not worried about his frustration. He's

not even worried about his personality traits.

Jesus is concerned about Peter's soul. He's He's

concerned about Peter's future and the future

of the men that are with him and the crowd that

is there. Luke 5, 3 says this. Then he got into

one of the boats, which was Simon's. I'm rereading

3. And asked him to put out a little from the

land. And he sat down and taught the multitudes

from the boat. Then he stopped speaking. He said

to Simon, launch out into the deep and let your

nets for a catch. Now Jesus preaches for a while

and he tells Simon. Peter, let's launch out into

the deep. But Simon answered and said to him,

Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing.

Nothing. Right? Nevertheless, at your word, I

will let down the net. And when he had done this,

they caught a great number of fish, and their

net was breaking. So they signaled to their partners

in the other boat to come and help them. And

they came and fueled both boats so that they

began to sink. And when Simon Peter saw it, he

fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart from

me, for I am a sinful man. Another gospel says

that they all left everything and followed Jesus.

Jesus steps on the scene with a divine interruption.

Simon Peter, Andrew, his brother, James, and

John, he heats them up. He astonishes them with

a miracle of fish. And then he begins to mold

them into something different. Fishermen of men.

He says, no more fishing for fishies, you guys.

You're going to fish for men. And they leave

all and follow him. And what started out as maybe

an annoying interruption on a very ordinary,

frustrating day. of Peter and these other men,

changes everything. And it's one very personal

divine interruption that can change our lives

and shift them as well. It can change everything.

This week, I had the privilege to sit down with

a couple. who God divinely interrupted in the

last couple weeks. And they began to tell me

their story. Now, it's their story to tell, so

I'm not going to tell it all to you this morning.

But as they begin to unfold from a year ago plus,

God unfolding this story and this interruption,

and all of a sudden it all culminated. God interrupts

them on a little local trip, a little local vacation,

and they get called into missionary work. God

calls them to launch and to be missionaries.

It's a divine interruption. Jesus will personally

interrupt us. And it might not be for something

as drastic as going to be a missionary or laying

down your business, right, and to go start something

new like Peter. But he will personally interrupt

us. And it's to bring the heat on us sometimes.

Sometimes he'll interrupt you just enough to

get you heated up. And all of a sudden, how many

know the drops will come to the surface? That's

what happened with Peter. Word of God says he

fell on his knees and he said, depart from me.

I am a sinful man. He got in the middle of this

divine interruption. He realized who was in the

boat. He realized this was the son of God. This

wasn't just some itinerant preacher. He realized

he was there. God will interrupt us sometimes

to get you in the right position. to get you

to the right place, to get you in the right situation.

He'll get you where he needs to get you. He will

personally and divinely interrupt us so that

we recognize who is in the boat with us. He'll

do it. He'll do it for you, and he'll do it for

me. Peter, he realized this, right? Jesus tells

him, I'm going to interrupt you, and then we're

going to go fishing for a little bit. So he tells

him to put out into the deep. He puts out in

the deep, and they get so many fish, they can't

even get him in the boat. He's in a boat with

a man who can command nature. And he realizes

what Philippians 4 .19 tells us, and God shall

supply your needs according to his riches, right,

in Christ Jesus. He really will. Jesus was personally

and divinely interrupting his life. And he receives

the revelation of who he is. And God will do

this so you understand that he's Lord. He will

interrupt you so you understand that he's Savior,

that he's provider, that he's the coming king.

He's the one with all the authority, right? The

word of God tells us that. He's the rock and

the shield. He'll do it. Turn to somebody right

now, tell them, he will personally interrupt

you. He will personally interrupt you. He'll

do it. He'll do it. And Jesus doesn't just interrupt

us personally. But Jesus also interrupts us corporately

as a group of people. He doesn't limit his interruptions

to just a personal level. He'll interrupt a village.

He'll interrupt a city. He'll interrupt a state.

He'll interrupt a nation if he needs to, to shift

and to change the village, the city, the state,

or the nation. And in Luke chapter 8, Jesus and

Luke 8 · chapter mention

his disciples go across the Sea of Galilee, the

Word of God tells us, and land somewhere on a

hilly shore of the Gadarenes. And this location

that they land in... Landon is not a typical

Israelite place where they're ministering to.

It's not the normal Jewish crowd that they've

been ministering to. Because up until this point

in time, Jesus is ministering in places that

are surrounding where they're at. And people

that are in that area are traditional Jewish

people who understand the God of Abraham and

Isaac and Jacob and serving Jehovah. But now

they slide across. area in a boat, and they land

in an area that's more Syrian. And these are

Hellenistic Jews that are in this area. And these

Jews do not serve Jehovah. They worship in temples

that are two gods that are more of Greek mythology.

I've read on this somewhat, and the god Zeus

and Jupiter are some of the gods that they worship.

And they don't come with the sacrifices of the

traditional Jew of bringing a lamb to be sacrificed,

a spotless lamb. But they actually sacrifice

pigs. It was common in these temple practices.

And Jesus and his disciples cross this lake from

Galilee, right? The Lake of Galilee or the Sea

of Galilee for a divine and personal interruption

on a corporate level. It starts off personal.

but it shifts to corporate. It says this in Luke

8, 26. Then he sailed to the country of the Gadarenes,

which is opposite Galilee. And when he stepped

out on the land, there met him a certain man

from the city who had demons for a long time.

And he wore no clothes, nor did he live in a

house, but in the tombs. Quite the welcoming

committee, okay? A naked demon -possessed man

who lives in the tombs. How many know they didn't

put that on the brochure for the Gadarenes, all

right? And when he saw Jesus, he cried out, fell

down before him, and with a loud voice said,

What have I to do with you, Jesus, Son of the

Most High God? I beg you, do not torment me,

for he had commanded the unclean spirit to come

out of the man. For it had often seized him,

and he was kept under guard, bound with chains

and shackles. And he broke the bonds and was

driven by the demon into the wilderness. Jesus

asked him, saying, What is your name? And he

said, Legion. because many demons have entered

him, and they begged him that he would not command

them to go away into the abyss. Now, up until

this point, Jesus is having a personal interaction

with this man, right? This person, this is a

deeply spiritual in nature kind of personal interruption

that takes place. It's pure demonic evil that

has taken this individual over, and he's now

standing face to face with Jesus along the shoreline.

And when Jesus asks his name, the demons speak

up and say, legion. There are many. And Jesus

is there to set this man free from this torment.

But this very divine personal interruption is

about to become a divine corporate interruption

very quickly. Verse 32 says, now the herd of

many swine were feeding there on the mountain.

So they begged him that he would permit them,

and this is the demon speaking, to enter them.

And he permitted them and the demons went out

of the man and entered the swine and the herd

ran violently down the steep place into the lake

and drowned. And when those who fed them saw

what had happened, they fled and told it in the

city and in the country. And then they went out

to see what happened. And Jesus... Now you would

think at this point. Now, this is an unusual

story in Scripture. You don't see a lot of this

in Scripture. This is an unusual story. But you

would think that the people that were in the

surrounding areas would come out and be deeply

curious about a man that they've seen out of

his mind and demon -possessed and living out

in the tombs, completely healed. You think they

would be astonished. You think that they would

come out and say, this is amazing. Who is this

man that spoke to him? And in moments, this man

is set free and is sane. even has clothes on,

right? You'd think that would take place. But

the fact was that the word of God says that they

were seized with fear and they wanted nothing

to do with Jesus. Because 37 says, when the whole

multitude of the surrounding region of the Gadarenes

asked him to depart from them and they were seized

with great fear and he, Jesus, got in the boat

and returned. Jesus comes to an area called the

Gadarenes and it's on the southeast side of the

Sea of Galilee and Jesus interrupts this community.

with one salvation for one man, right? And the

whole community should have responded in a different

way. It should have been a divine interruption

for this man personally, and honestly, for this

whole community. But this pagan society decides,

who's steeped in mythology, that they don't want

anything to do with Jesus. They look right past

the man, right, who is healed, and all they can

see is the pigs that had drowned in the sea.

All they can see is the profits because people

sold these pigs for a profit to sacrifice in

the temples. All they could see was money going

up in smoke. And they could care less about this

man that was tormented in the wilderness. And

I got a little curious about this guy. And the

word of God doesn't tell us a lot about it. And

all we can do is kind of conjecture. And when

I conjecture something, I'll let you know because

it doesn't say in God's word. But I did read

in ancient cultures where sometimes somebody

that was in the outskirts like that, that was

demon possessed, they were called scapegoats.

And what it was is in these pagan societies,

sometimes what would happen is that the witch

doctors and those who were in these pagan societies

would pick an individual in the community and

they would literally kind of transfer the demonic

activity onto this one person to keep the community

free. And they would literally, this person would

be driven through town or forced through town.

They would beat him with green rods. They would

throw stones at them. And then they would banish

him outside of the city. And they were this scapegoat

for all the evil to be placed on this one person.

We don't know if that's who this individual was,

but it kind of seems like it, right? I don't

know. Jesus delivers this man. He's free. Somebody

comes on their shore to interrupt everything

that could set them all free, and they rejected

them and sent them away. Sent them back across

the Sea of Galilee. What am I saying? Jesus will

interrupt you personally, and he will interrupt

you corporately. And he's there for the same

reason. Both times. It's because he loves you.

It's because he'll move heaven and earth. He

will interrupt somebody personally, and he will

interrupt the whole group corporately. He went

there for that one man. I think Jesus knew that

culture would reject him. He went there for one

guy who was living in the tombs that nobody cared

about, and he went there and set that individual

free. God interrupts us. Jesus interrupts us.

The Holy Spirit interrupts us so that we understand

and know that God will move heaven and he will

move earth to reach us. Jesus did move all of

heaven and all of earth to reach us. Amen? Worship

team, if you'd come. This is Palm Sunday, and

you might have come into the house thinking,

well, he's going to preach on Palm Sunday. I'm

just going to touch on it at the end. Because

Palm Sunday was also a divine interruption. It

really was. The days leading up to Jesus' crucifixion

were filled with divine interruptions. Jesus...

personally and corporately began to interrupt

what was taking place. And if you know the scene

going up to the crucifixion and even Palm Sunday,

what takes place leading up to that is a man

named Lazarus dies, and he's friends with Jesus.

And Jesus shows up four days late to the funeral.

He dies. They bury him. He comes. Lazarus is

four days dead. Jesus shows up, calls Lazarus'

name, and pulls him from the tomb. He comes back

to life. Tell me that's an amazing thing, right?

Yeah, come on. And the Jews in a nearby city

of Jerusalem, they hear about this. And they

hear about this interruption that took place.

And the Jews there, they know a couple things

about Jesus. One, they know he just raised a

guy from the dead. Two, they've heard how he's

healed others and how the diseases have to flee

at his word. They hear about a man who can speak

to nature and elements, right? And they have

to listen. A man who spoke to Simon Peter and

fish jump into the boat practically. They jump

into the net. They hear about this. And the Jews

in that area under Roman rule are thinking, here's

our king. Here's the one who has all the power.

Here's the one who can get us out from underneath

Roman rule and the brutality of Rome. And there's

an interruption. And Jesus decides to go into

Jerusalem. This is part of leading up to what

he's doing. And he rides in on a donkey, and

the Jewish people in that city come out, and

they begin to lay palm branches, and they begin

to throw their clothes down, and they begin to

shout to their next king, who they think is going

to be their next king, the one who's going to

set them free. And there's disruption going on.

The Romans, the guards, they hear all this. They

hear these Jewish people yelling about this new

king, and that was illegal. Only Caesar could

be called king. And they're getting ready for

an uprise. The Pharisees and the scribes, the

hypocrisy of the religious leaders of that day,

they are jealous of Jesus getting all the attention.

Jesus has been confronting them for years on

their hypocrisy. And they're in this city plotting

and scheming how they're going to kill Jesus

and take him out. And I can see Jesus' disciples

thinking, Jesus, this is a bad idea. Let's not

go to Jerusalem. Let's go somewhere else and

minister. They're interrupted. They know that

this is dangerous. They know what they're walking

into. And they know that in a few days, right,

Jesus is the only one that knows in a few days

that he's going to unfold the plan for mankind.

It's divine interruption. I'm going to ask you

to stand this morning. As Jesus comes into the

city, He knows that it's only going to be a few

days until he goes to a Roman cross, that he

dies, that he's buried in a tomb, and three days

later, he would do what no one else has done.

He would raise himself to life. By the power

of God, he would raise out of the grave to create

the biggest divine interruption of all of time.

All this led up to Jesus going to the cross,

coming out of the grave, so that he could interrupt

all of time, and so that we, could connect back

to God. So we could be forgiven of sin. So we

could know a God that we formerly did not know

other than from a distance. I'm here to tell

you, Jesus has no problem with divine interruption.

He wants to heal and make those whole, just like

he did for the demonic of Gadara, right? He wants,

just like Peter, he wants to call some of you

into a new place and a new space. He wants you

to come to faith. He wants you to see the sin

in your life and to remove that sin. He wants

to get you in the right location, in the right

station, and in the right vocation. He wants

you engaged in mission, and he'll interrupt.

He'll do it. He doesn't want you to be the scapegoat.

He doesn't want you the one that's tormented

outside the city by Satan himself. He doesn't

want that. He'll interrupt personally. You interrupt.

I'm going to ask you to bow your heads as they

begin to softly play. I'm going to ask you to

do something this morning. I'm going to ask you

to pray a dangerous prayer. Dangerous prayer.

I want you to pray, and only do this if you mean

it, but I want you to pray, Lord, interrupt me.

Interrupt my life. This is a dangerous prayer.

I'm going to be honest with you. Because he'll

do it. And it might seem small. Somebody on the

outside may never notice, but it will shift your

life. It will change you. And it might be that

you're in a Y in the road somewhere in your life

right now. And God wants to take you from the

left to the right or from the right to the left.

And if you pray for a divine interruption, he

may just shift that. It might change. He might

turn you. Some of you, he might change your vocation,

your profession. He might change the direction

that you're heading in. He may give you a new

avenue that you've never seen. But some of you,

he'll divinely interrupt and to the surface will

rise the dross. will rise the blackness. It's

in the interruption where the sin comes to the

surface and you're going to have to confess and

repent and let go of it and choose a new way.

But it happens in the divine interruption. Jesus

rode into Jerusalem to be crucified so you could

be divinely interrupted. If you're in the house,

and I want every head bowed still and every eye

closed. If you're in the house this morning and

you don't know Jesus as Lord and Savior, today

you can. This is the day. If you want to know

the one I'm talking about who loves you more

than you'll ever know, the one who literally

interrupted heaven and earth just for you. so

that you could be in relationship with them,

so your sins could be washed clean. If you're

in the house this morning and that's you and

you want to be saved today, I'm going to ask

you to do one thing and one thing only. I want

you to lift your hand, put it up, and put it

right back down. Thank you for your obedience.

Thank you. The Word of God says this very simply.

All you have to do is ask and believe, right?

So first we believe. that Jesus is who he said

he is. And if you believe that in your heart,

the word of God says that you can be saved. So

you believe first, and then you confess him as

Lord. And that means you make him Lord in your

life. And you say, Lord, come into my life, wash

me clean of all the mess that's in my life. I

want to be whole. I want to be rooted in you.

Lord, I want to follow you all the days of my

life. And Lord, I want to be in relationship

with you here, now, and one day when I pass from

this life to the next. I want heaven to be my

destination and not hell. So Jesus, come into

my life. Just pray that prayer very simply and

in your own words. And the word of God says that

if you believe, confess, and repent, which means

to turn from the way you're going and follow

him, you will be saved. Pray that in your own

words. So there's two prayers going right now.

And as I pray, those who are asking for salvation,

those who want to meet with Jesus. Just pray

that. Just say, Lord, come into my life. I believe

in you. I trust in you. I confess right now that

I need you. I need you to remove my sin. I need

you in my life. I need to follow you. Confess

that right now. And for the rest of you who do

know Jesus, we're going to get ready to pray

the dangerous prayer. Interrupt me. Father, we

come to you today. I thank you for your great

mercy and your love, your peace and your presence.

And God, right now, Lord, I ask, God, that you

would just come down and minister to your people.

And Lord, as they begin to say a dangerous thing,

Lord, as they begin to do something, Lord, that

could shift their lives, as they ask you to interrupt,

God, I pray that you'll meet them. And it could

be in a still, small voice. It might be lightning.

It might be thunder up the line. I don't know

what it's going to be, but interrupt. God, shift

things. In Jesus' name, I pray right now over

the house, Lord, that there are people, Lord,

asking you to interrupt their lives. Interrupt.

For divine purposes, for divine reasons. Lord,

I ask this in Jesus' name. And amen. I want you

to look at me. Felt this prompting in my spirit.

Some of you just prayed that prayer. Get ready.

There are a few in this house. I don't think

there's a lot, but there's a few in this house.

He's going to speak something to you, and it's

going to require a big change. He'll speak it.

You're going to have to be obedient in doing

it. That's what faith is, right? God speaks it.

You step. He meets you. And it can be radical,

and I'm not going to even tell you it's going

to be easy. Sometimes following Jesus isn't an

easy thing. But it will be life to you. He'll

be life to you, okay? That's a word, you can

write it down. I tell people when you get a word,

that's not me, that's from the throne room of

grace. When you get a word, you need to write

it down. If you felt that prompting in your spirit

that it's you, write down what I said, because

he'll do it. Not my word, it's his. Amen. Thank
