Praise the Lord. It's good to be in God's house tonight and feel the
-
presence the Lord. Want to give honor to the pastor and his wife and
-
and all of all of the people in the pews, and had just had
-
a had a great revival so far, looking forward to the rest of tonight,
-
and I have been encouraged and uplifted in my own spirit. And when
-
I came into the church tonight, I felt like the Lord put something on
-
my heart. So I'm just gonna share. It won't be long, but
-
of several years ago, my daughter before she was married, when she was
-
probably about fifteen, she got a burden for some children that she never met
-
before in the island of Tonga. And Tonga is in that South Pacific.
-
It's a little dot on the map if you even find it on a map.
-
And um so we do. We have done ministry in Hawaii for a
-
lot of years. And that's how she and us became familiar with the island
-
of Tonga. And so she met some of the people from the church or
-
from Tonga. Their transplants kind of like you know, people from north come
-
down here, but they transplanted to Hawaii because it was the United States,
-
and so when they got there, though they stought family, they send money
-
back to So anyway, we kind of met the people from there and heard
-
some of the ways of life and Tonga. And our daughter that was about
-
fifteen, got a very a strong burden for the children. So she started
-
doing just on her own. She would bring boxes and set them out when
-
we was in revival and just you know, asked the pastor said, okay,
-
if people, if they want to, they can bring shares or tula
-
trees or school supplies and I'll send them over there. So she's done that
-
for quite a while and then she started getting notes back from the kids that
-
we're receiving the things. So she decided, I'm going to Tonga. And
-
so by this time she was nineteen and she said, I'm I want to
-
go to Tonga. So her dad said, okay, you know, we'll
-
go if you you know, this is your burden. If you raise the
-
money, then we'll go. So it costs about ten thousand dollars to work
-
two people to go. So within a few months she had raised all the
-
money. She went. She got a little job and then she done some
-
itinerating at some churches that would let her come and just tell about what she
-
wanted to do, and so they you know, she came up with the
-
money. So he was getting ready to buy tickets and Brother Doug kind of
-
threw a wrench at in and said, I really don't feel like that I
-
should go. I feel kind of a pullback, so, you know,
-
and mine and his thinking is it's a pullback. You shouldn't. You know,
-
to Chelsea, you can't go because you're a young girl and you're not
-
going by yourself. And so she, you know, said I'm nineteen,
-
I want to go and raise some money. I'm going, and well,
-
you know, her dad very nicely said no, you're not. And so
-
she said, well, can someone else go with me? And then I
-
can go? And he said sure. And I spoke up and I said,
-
well I'll go, and he said I can't let you to go by
-
yourself, and I said why God? And I am like an adventurous kind
-
of person. The more you know me, the more you'll find out.
-
And so he said, why don't we do this. I'll call your dad
-
and which is also our pastor. I'll call brother Miller and if he says
-
that you can go, then okay. That was his way of saying,
-
I have nothing to worry about because my dad, you know, doesn't think
-
I should go to Walmart by myself. And so, you know, he
-
thought, I have nothing to worry about. Nobody's going. And so I
-
called dad. We explained the situation, and the dug got on the phone,
-
and you know, I was telling them what was going on, and
-
he said, just give me a few days, you know, let me
-
pray about it. So we called back in a few days and he said,
-
I feel like you're right. I don't feel like you should go.
-
I feel like a pullback, but I do feel like that Melissa can go.
-
And so then he was like what, So he came. He stayed
-
to his word, and he led his wife and his daughter travel halfway around
-
the world to a place we never been. People we didn't know we were
-
going to see. We was going to go see a family of some people
-
we know very well in Hawaii that we're still living in Tonga. So we
-
we got on this trip. It took us about two and a half days
-
to get to Tonga, and we got there in the middle of the night
-
and we went to bed and got up at the you know first light,
-
and took off walking to find the bus station because the people that we knew
-
are in Hawaii are Charmaine two week, Folly Opha and U two week.
-
And Charmaine said, all you got to do is get to a bus station,
-
go to kolonga, get off a kolonga and tell him you need to
-
find the falling Opus. And and you know my family will be there and
-
tell them about Jesus, because he really wanted somebody to tell him about Jesus.
-
And so we thought, well, that can't be too hard. You
-
know, get on a bus, go to town and get off and tell
-
them about Jesus. And you know that's it's pretty easy. So we walk
-
about a mile and a half to the bus stop. I've never written I
-
was raised up the head of a holler, if anybody knows what that is.
-
So um, I had never read any public transportation before except a school
-
bus that came up our hollow. And I thought, well, I wrote
-
a bus all kinds of times. That's not hard to just get on and
-
you know they take you where you need to go. Well not so,
-
And so we get there, and when we got there, there was buses
-
there that looked like I'm telling you, like they were held together by bunch
-
of cords and duck teeth. They were the scariest looking things I've ever seen.
-
And so, you know, we finally found one because this is how
-
they told us to do. When you get to the bus up, look
-
for the piece of paper that's in them dashboard that says the name of the
-
village, past of the village you want to go to. That was hard
-
for me, but our daughter is blonde through and through, and it was
-
so confusing to her. But we finally found the bus and we get on
-
it. We're on that bus over an hour. People get on, people
-
get all, they get on, they get oh if they're smoking these little
-
things and laughing and making jokes. And we knew they were talking about us
-
because the only word we know and an tongue is polongey, which means white
-
people. So we knew that they were talking about us. They were making
-
jokes and every now and they need hear polongey thrown in there. So we're
-
just sitting on this bus waiting for a bus driver. No bus driver ever
-
came on. Finally, after an hour, bus driver we get on.
-
He takes off there's about ten or fifteen of us on this bus. By
-
the time we get out of Nuka Alofa, which is the capital of Tonga,
-
there is probably fifty or more people on this bus. It was,
-
and it's a small bus. It was so crowded that people were they left
-
the door open, They were hanging out of the door to get on the
-
bus. They were highways were full. There were animals just like we in
-
between our LANs, underneath the seats, and I mean it was the wildest
-
thing I'd ever spent on in my leg. But then people would get on.
-
It was so packed they started sitting on people's laps. I don't even
-
know if they knew the person they were sitting on, but just in case,
-
they just found random people to sit on. We took our backpacks and
-
put them on our lap, you know, to say, you know,
-
no body's sitting here. And so this was what we was on for about
-
an hour and a half, close to hour and forty five minutes out of
-
the city, dirt roads, out of nowhere. And you know, I
-
keep asking and pointing to a map that I've got kalonga kalonga, anybody kalonga
-
And nobody you know, they're doing us. Nobody wanted to talk to us.
-
And after a while, you know, I looked over at Chelsea and
-
I was like, we have got to be the craziest people in the world.
-
We are on a bus going to somewhere. We don't even know when
-
we're gonna get there because we don't know where we're going, and we've never
-
met the people that we're gonna go see. They don't even know we're coming.
-
We can't speak tonging, and apparently no one on this bus speaks English.
-
This is crazy. And she, you know, she was kind of
-
laughing. Me and her both we laughing to get nervous, and so we
-
were both laughing. And finally she takes out tutsie rolls and starts passing them
-
out to everybody. And she took that some tutsie rolls to hand out to
-
kids. So she's passing them out all around the bus to everybody, old,
-
young, it doesn't matter. She's given them tutchie rolls. And finally
-
somebody tapped us on his shoulder and said, kalonga next. So I was
-
thankful for tutsie rolls. I mean, stuck anywhere you go that you don't
-
think they speak your language. Take tutsie rolls. And so finally we get
-
off and I'm thinking, there's gonna be a seven eleven a circle k something
-
off of this bus to tell, you know, to go one and say
-
where's the faliopas there was nothing and just a little shock. And when I
-
say shock passed her, I'm sure you've seen them. It was just like
-
a three sided shock. And there was no front. The only piece of
-
furniture that they had was a matt and that was their bedroom, they're living
-
room, their kitchen, everything, and that was the only thing we've seen
-
on one side of the road, and on the other side was nothing but
-
bushes. And when we um when we got to the off of it,
-
you know, we're there goes to bus, you know, dust and dirt
-
flying up, and we hadn't seen a car, and since we left Nuka
-
Olopha almost two hours ago, we hadn't seen a car. And we're getting
-
we got off and our daughter looks at me and she says, how are
-
we gonna get back? I have no idea, And so we're just standing
-
there. Nobody to ask where the foliofa's lift, Nobody toa and if I
-
could call Doug or my dad, they wouldn't been If my phone would have
-
worked, they wouldn't have been able to help me because they didn't know where
-
I was at. They didn't know where where was that, what was going
-
through And I show wasn't gonna if my phone was working, I was not
-
gonna call and tell them what was going on. And so we just started
-
praying, and it wasn't too long. Out of the bushes. The only
-
thing that we see come out of those bushes was some wild hawks, and
-
we were scared to death that they were gonna eat us. And you know,
-
usually it's the other way around, but not then. I was scared
-
to death. I've you know, like we looked like bacon, not them,
-
and I was so scared. And finally, out of the bushes comes
-
this older gentleman dressed in the traditional tongue and you know, like dress up
-
church wear. He was so distinguished looking this such shiny, pure white hair,
-
and he comes down and it looks like he's just glowing, and he
-
comes out of the bushes and he walks right up to us, and in
-
perfect English, he says, can I help you find something? And we
-
time what we're looking for who we're looking for, And I'm telling you it
-
wasn't no time. Here comes the car. We had seen the car in
-
a long time. So he stops the car. He talks to the person
-
and asks them, do you know the Follyophas. I'm assuming that's what he
-
asked, And so he turned around to us and says it, says to
-
us, they know the folly Ophas. Get in. So we just get
-
into the stranger's car and head off to the Follyophas. And we found they
-
took us there. We spent the day with them, and we got to
-
witness to them, to their children, to the kids, some of the
-
kids because she had been sending step to when they've been riding her. We
-
got to spend the day with those kids, and we got to pray with
-
the mom and talk to the kids about Jesus. But when we got in
-
that car and I turned around, I was going to turn around the way,
-
you know, thank you, he was gone. Now, I don't
-
know what anybody else thinks her about angels, but I'm telling you I had
-
an angel on my dusty road, on my dirt road where no one else
-
knew where I was at what I needed. They couldn't help me. God
-
sent an angel, and I thought about the story of sarah Win and Hagar,
-
when Sarah Um you know, made Hagar leave, and and Hagar left
-
and she was in a wilderness, and not even of her own doing,
-
she was she was put out of her home, put out of her the
-
lord of the mansion, his wife, the you know, she made her
-
leave. And she gets here and she's scared because no one knows where she's
-
at, nobody, you know. She can't she can't help herself. She
-
doesn't know anything. And God send an angel to her to talk to her.
-
And she called the place, and it says in Genesis sixteen and thirteen
-
she called the name of the Lord. Then spake unto her. Now God
-
seest me, and that's what I had on my heart. All service is
-
to tell somebody you might be somewhere that you think nobody else knows where you're
-
at. Then even if even if they did, they come help you.
-
But God knows where you're at, and God sees you, and he wants
-
you to know tonight that he wan does. The Bible say that his eyes
-
are on the righteous. But I'm so glad that not only that he sees
-
so those of UM that are of a tender heart toward him, even if
-
even if we're not, you know, a child of his, yet he
-
wants us in his family, just like Carl Downs, he wants us in
-
his family. God wants somebody to know tonight that he sees you, and
-
he knows where you're at. You know what, I'm duck at his wreck.
-
And I really don't talk about it too much a lot of places,
-
just because it's it's it's a little hard. But there was a time when
-
I Doug was still in intensive care, and I was twenty three years old
-
with two little kids, and about seven hours away from my family in our
-
home and had a church that we were trying to pass her and and my
-
husband seemed like none of that even mattered because my husband was lating here dying,
-
and and one one particular night, I remember that UM, it was
-
such a bad night, and the nurses and doctors had told me that was
-
in ICU, that we have this UM area, you know, like a
-
shower place and in a rest place that is for the doctors and nurses,
-
and you're more than welcome to use it. Because I didn't leave the hospital,
-
and so some people you know, had been bringing me in stuff,
-
um to freshen up and get ready as much good as I could. And
-
finally they let me go back into this room and and um, So after
-
this was a while, I don't know, a few weeks or so,
-
and still there, and I find myself just in the little shower area they
-
had, and I just went in because I had to get away. I
-
had to just get away from the noise of those machines and what the doctors
-
and nurses were saying. And I needed to just find some time to be
-
by myself and tried to just kind of get some kind of a thought process
-
going. And I remember I just curled up in a ball on the floor
-
of that shower and locked the door. And I'm that cold, cold shower
-
and I didn't turn on the light. It was dark, and I'm just
-
laying in there, thinking, God, I don't understand this, because you
-
know, I did what I what I was supposed to do. I followed
-
my husband to where you led him to. And and here we are pastoring
-
church and trying to take care of my kids, trying to be a good
-
wife, and and I'm so you know, left my family, and here
-
we are. They're saying, I haven't even seen my kids in a few
-
weeks, and you know, they're saying that my husband might not even make
-
it. And here I am, and what now? What am I supposed
-
to do now? And I remember laying on that floor that God seen me.
-
He knew, he knew where I was at, and he knew what
-
I needed, and he spoke these words to me and let me know that
-
he seen me. And I say a forty three and one three three,
-
and says, but now that saith the Lord that created thee, Old Jacob,
-
and he that formed me, Old Israel. Fear not. I have
-
redeemed THEE, and I have called THEE by name, Thou art mine.
-
And when thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee. And
-
through the rivers they shall not overflow THEE. And when they walks through the
-
fire, thou shalt not be burned, neither shall the flame ain't kindle upon
-
me. I'm so thankful that even in our darkest moments, when you might
-
think that God doesn't even know where you're at, and if he did,
-
he's not sending any help right away. But if we can just trust and
-
believe and hold on to him and his promises. He will let us know
-
and confirm to us that He does see us, He knows where you're at.
-
You know, Satan is a liar in Hawaii the way they say it
-
is the devil Aliah. And so you know that it doesn't matter if you
-
stepped your toe, if they're out of kidcats, the devil Aliah. But
-
I'm telling you, no matter what problem that you're facing right now, the
-
devil is a lie you're talking to. He would tell you that God sayesn't
-
care, and God doesn't see that. God doesn't know, He sees,
-
He cares, and he knows. And it's been said over and over in
-
this service trying to get stuff up and understand. Then God sees you,
-
He sees you, and he's wanting to move for you. If you won't
-
just rely on hell. Hallywahraz Lord. He turned looking Saint Matthew. You
-
yeah, mh book at Saint Matthew. You understand that, and thank you
-
so much. Pastor. I'll tell you we've had a wonderful day fellowshipping and
-
eating seafood. H It's just been a wonderful day with your pastor God.
-
Obviously he loves you. Uh, the pastor has already told you that you're
-
special in the eyes of God. A man the Lord has moved upon my
-
help meet tonight to let you know that he loves and cares about you so
-
much, even if it takes sending an angel your way. Obey God,
-
he won't let you down. He won't let you down. Now this man
-
named Matthew, a tax collector. We have any tax collectors here to any
-
employees of the rus here tonight and just feel like preses something else who was
-
So let's just love happy. You and I are both glad than un here
-
yet degree and uh, those are very unpopular people in the world that we
-
live here. And Matthew was not somebody that everybody couldn't wait to see because
-
he was a tax collector all but things had changed in his life. He
-
had met one greater than an angel sent his way. He had met the
-
very only begotten some God, Jesus, the Christ Amen. And Matthew has
-
spent a lot of time traveling with Jesus. He turned with I didn't tell
-
you what Chapter Chapter twenty eight, very last chapter of Matthew and Matthew has
-
spent a lot of time with Jesus, and he was keeping a journal,
-
that is day to day things that Jesus would do. And compare it,
-
if you'd like, with the other four, the other three gospels, and
-
notice all of the red. Will you just take your fingers and go back
-
to page or two or three or four, And if you haven't read a
-
letter edition, notice all of the red that Matthew wrote. He loved to
-
quote Jesus, a man he loved with a spirit to deal with him and
-
help him write these journals and everything that took place and enduring. So he
-
would write down exactly what Jesus said. And so now the time has came
-
that Matthew would end up being a martyr, he would end up losing his
-
life for the gospel's sake. But God has moved upon him at a time
-
to put all of this together, all of these journals, all of this
-
right. And he did, and in doing so I can imagine that it
-
was so important to him as it is with you. If you were in
-
his position, then he wanted to end it just right. He wanted to
-
end it was something good. A man he's been a lot of time doing
-
this. He's been a lot of time keeping all of these exact words and
-
all of us writing. He's been a lot of time trying to get it
-
all compiled and chronological order and everything just right. And now he wants to
-
end it just right. Let's read it the Book of Saint Matthew and scheffer
-
number twenty eight, and let us all stand the reverence the reading first number
-
sixteen. Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where
-
Jesus had appointed them, and when they saw him, they worshiped him.
-
Let's some doubt it. And Jesus came and speak unto them, saying,
-
all power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore
-
and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of
-
the Son and of the Holy Ghost, teaching them to observe all things whatsoever
-
I have commanded you. And load I am with you all the way,
-
even unto the ends of the world. Amen. Let's pray, Lord,
-
I thank you so much, Lord for what you have already done in these
-
services. God, I am so thankful Lord for this holiness. Church in
-
La Al, Florida, I'm so thankful Lord for the pastor and his pride.
-
Hallelujah, Lord for what you have done here. God, I pray
-
that you would use bless and annoying pastor and sister Howe greater than ever.
-
And I prayed God that you would bless everyone here wonderfully Lord in every way.
-
But, Oh God, could I ask you tonight, Please, Lord,
-
move with the remainder of the service. God, give us the greatest
-
altar prayer time, Lord that this church has ever experienced. I'm praying Lord,
-
not comparison, but Lord, you would just pour out your spirits to
-
man in the name of Jesus, not my will, but thine, in
-
the name of Jesus. And the church said, yeah, he may be
-
seated in the House of God. Notice that last line low and with you
-
always, No, no, no, no no. It doesn't say always.
-
You see if there is an S on the end of that that tells
-
you of segments of time these problems. He will be with you. I
-
will be with you when you're there and there and there always at each place.
-
That is a different word than all the way, for always means I'll
-
be with you there and then I'll be with you there and there, and
-
if you go away back there, I'll be with you there. That's always
-
each time I'll be with you. But all away means all the time.
-
I'll never not be with you. It may take you a half a second
-
to go from there to there, a whole lot can happen and a half
-
a second a man, I'll be with you alway, even if you're on
-
a dirt road in Touch where they're a nobody there and all of these wild
-
hogs keep coming out and scaring you, and you don't know which way to
-
go, and there augustly is no seventy eleven, and you don't know who
-
to ask him, and you'd get a ride or ask somebody, but there's
-
nobody to ask, there's no car, you don't know what to do.
-
I'll be with you all way. Oh hallelujah, hallebah. Well, apparently
-
the Lord sent an angel that appeared out of the bushes to Missy and Chelsea.
-
Send an angel. Maybe that's exactly how the Lord will do it for
-
you. Maybe he'll just send you an angel. I don't know, but
-
I'm so glad to tell you Jesus will be there with your Hey, man,
-
I've told you about my healing and how that after the accident took place.
-
The greatest miracle that I felt like the Lord did for me was that
-
he delivered me and fought the battle for me in that pit of despair.
-
The Lord fought that battle for me that I just could not fight. Hey
-
man, And understand, blind people, they can live. Thank God that
-
we live in a wonderful nation that has so many things set up um there.
-
We have a pink at home that we use, and they have a
-
wonderful drive through ATM. You ever been in one of those. I don't
-
know about your drive through ATM, but our drive through ATM at fifth third
-
paint truth. When you drive through, there's prayer. I have not figured
-
that one out. How did the blind guy get there? But I'm not
-
making fun of being blind by any chance, because I've been there, and
-
so I'm thinking that that's the one ATM that doesn't be prayal. It's one
-
that you drive through, you know. But anyhow, I anation is so
-
wonderful to help you if you are crippled. Thank God. Even the hole
-
in this church at LaBelle has handicapped biking. Hey man, that's not because
-
it's raining, and you're in a hurry when there's other people here. Because
-
there are some elderly people that don't need to be walking in the rain,
-
Amen, Pastor. There are some people that have physical problems that have a
-
little trouble getting out of the car and getting to the church house, and
-
so even the holiest church has done something to help them. Amen. No
-
matter what your sickness or what your disability is, the Lord and the way
-
that our nation is set up has moved upon your pastor, has moved upon
-
the government people around us, our culture that we try to help people.
-
Aymen. Of course, if you're depressed, that's not helpable because there's no
-
counselor, there's no judge, there's no home, there's no hospital. Our
-
country has even shut down the asylums. What in the world. I haven't
-
figured that one out. Chance. Why did we not have orphanages anymore?
-
Why do we not have asylums anymore? I haven't figured that out. But
-
for whatever reason, thank God, our nation does take time to help to
-
a certain degree. But people that are depressed, only Jesus can solve your
-
profit. Hey man, I'm so glad that he fought that battle. And
-
delivered me from the pusson. Does anybody know what I'm talking about? If
-
you know what I'm talking about, oh, would you just give the Lord
-
praise and thank him for fighting that battle for you, or if you understand
-
what I'm talking about, give the Lord praise and he won that battle for
-
you. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. Thank you Jesus, Thank you Jesus.
-
I'm so thankful that the Lord rebuilt gave me. I shouldn't even say
-
rebuilt, I should say the Lord gave me a brand new chaw. That's
-
not my opinion, and that's the professional opinion of the E and T that
-
had wired it shut, that had dealt with it for those months. That
-
said, in my professional opinion, someone has given you a brand ni jaw.
-
I've been talking and have never had another pit of pain in my jaws
-
since down all because she says is my healing. Hey man, my friend,
-
I'm so thankful for all that God did for me. But understand,
-
I've led you up to the point now that I had no longer been in
-
the wheelchair. By the physical therapy that I was spending at least forty hours
-
a week in physical therapy, and it was just horrible. I hated every
-
minute of it. But now that I look back at it, I'm so
-
glad that those people were trying to me, and they taught me a lot
-
of things in life that I just didn't realize about that. You know that
-
all of us could could Joan, if you want to spend forty hours a
-
week there, go ahead. I'm not gonna be with you though. But
-
I hated it, but I'm so glad for everything that they did teach me,
-
and they tried to help me so much. Well, so I was
-
no longer using the wheelchair. I was using a walker. Well, I
-
was kind of part in part. We had decided to go home. Our
-
friends, the Websters was in revival at our home church in Cincinnati. We
-
was back, you know, living. I was now out of the nursing
-
home. Thank God for the gift of faith. Thank God for the gift
-
of faith that he gave Missy that she signed me out of the nursing home.
-
And thank God. Now we had left Illinois and to come and just
-
visit Cincinnati and all the family and everything. And understand that I never in
-
this church. If I could get anybody to help me get there. They
-
would pick me up and put me in a wheelchair. And I couldn't even
-
sit in a wheelchair unless you know, I was strapped in and everything.
-
So they would kind of lay me back, you know, and take me
-
to church. And they said that I would sleep most of the time during
-
service. I don't know just how much I was a sleeping how much I
-
was awake, but I know that all the service long, and I would
-
lay there in the wheelchair, I'd be thinking, it's not what i'd have
-
done, not what i'd have said, you know what I'm talking about,
-
And you know you're thinking it right now. But you know, I'm so
-
glad that they always did their best to take me the church. Not only
-
to the church there, we were blessed to be in an area where there
-
was several more hole in his churches, and I would get to go to
-
church time and time again. And so now we're going back to our home
-
church some seven hours away, and I came in the wheelchair. Our home
-
church has something that is really wonderful. If you're sitting on the back seat,
-
it's really terrible if you're in a walker on a walker trying to get
-
there. That is the platform, which is three feet up in the air,
-
and then the church is ninety feet and it is on the same level.
-
The platform is as the back seat because the floor of the congregation is
-
at an angle going downward, there's those steps. It's just at a slight
-
angle all the way going downward. Well, that's really good for you if
-
you're sitting on the back seat, because you know that person with a good
-
kind of costal hair ado that always sits right in your way, you know
-
what I'm talking about. She's here, and so you're always trying to see
-
pastor hell, and she's she's always moving right when you get it. And
-
well you don't have that problem because you're looking it over the crowd. Well,
-
when you're on a walker, understand, it's a terrible experience. And
-
so I came in and I started down the middle aisle, and though we
-
just got one main aisland down the middle. And I came down that middle
-
aisle and I was doing my best, but my left side was still paralyzed,
-
and so I did it all with my right hand, you know,
-
and I would pick up the walker, and you know, I take my
-
left hand and set it there and close my hand on it, and I
-
do work with my right hand, kind of dragged myself with the walker,
-
and uh, I felt when right down the middle aisle, I fell,
-
you know, And it was early for church, not everybody was there yet,
-
and and so I was, of course embarrassed and a little angry,
-
and and I got up and got still it again and just made a few
-
more steps, and I felt, well, I fell three times, and
-
my wife's uncle evarts. He jumped up, and he he came to where
-
I was. And of course I'm ninety percent blind, my left side is
-
paralyzed, my mind is still not not nowhere near where it should be,
-
and I'm in pain all over my body, and falling is just making everything
-
worse. And everart you know, he was a you know, a wonderful
-
man and very strong, and he just helped me up that third time,
-
and he said, here, let me help you. And he just kind
-
of, you know, held me up and helped me and got me all
-
the way down there and half carried me, I guess, got me to
-
the front seat and I was sitting on this side about where you are,
-
brother Jordan, and set me down there. Oh my, I don't know
-
every song that they were singing. And I don't know exactly what my brother
-
Webster preached that night, but I know I just felt the power of God
-
all service long. But I was in so much pain. I knew that
-
I was in the presence of the Lord. Oh but maybe you know what
-
I'm talking about, even at church, when you're in the presence of the
-
Lord, yet there's pain, yet, there's troubles yet, there's so much
-
on your mind. Yet there's so much going on in your body, and
-
you really want to just bruship the Lord, and you're trying to get you
-
keep your mind on the Lord. And that's what I was doing my best
-
to do. Sometimes it's very hard. Sometimes it's so hard. Oh,
-
my friend and so and my brother got up, My brother Dwayne got up
-
and he sonned the song. Maybe you've heard it, a song that they
-
sing at home that says there's a miracle in the making for you. I
-
don't have all the words with me tonight, but oh, every word in
-
that song when he sung it, I just I was just sitting there listening
-
to it. I was so miserable, but oh my goodness, I just
-
felt such a presence of God. I could just feel the Lord right there
-
with me at Oh Brother Road cap It just felt so close. Did you
-
ever just feel like it was so close to you, so close to you,
-
You've just touching you know what I'm talking about. I mean, I
-
prayed sometimes when I felt like that my prayer wasn't getting above the roof,
-
you know that it was just coming back and hit me back in the head,
-
and I just felt so far. Oh but not that night. That
-
night, I was just feeling the presence of the Lord. There's so wonderful
-
you. And so without thinking about what I was doing, it was the
-
thing that I thought about and decided to do. It just happened. I
-
raised my paralyzed army and I was just sitting there and I had my left
-
arm up in the air praising the Lord. Oh, thank you Jesus,
-
because I feel you so many ready. And it was so odd that when
-
I raised my hand, pain was just leaving me. That would hurt the
-
best. PROP was just feeling better. I felt like the Roid was right
-
there her. The pain was just leaving, and so I just wanted to
-
praise you and I had that left hand up. Somebody raised your left hand
-
right now, oh it just praise the Lord. Oh, just telling you
-
I love your cheese. Thank you Jesus, because I feel your tail.
-
Why I feel like where is your miss? Lord? You're an air miss
-
lord. Glory, glory, glory. And what I did while I was
-
sitting there giving the Lord so good and had that hand up in the air,
-
praising the Lord, not even thinking about my left hand up in the
-
air, I opened my eyes and looked up the platform. Now I don't
-
know that my eyes was ever actually closed. I don't know, but I
-
know that I only had less than five percent vision. I could see lights,
-
and I could see somewhat of shapes, but I couldn't tell who anybody
-
was. But while I was sitting there with my hand up in the air
-
praising the Lord, I looked up on the platform and there stood brother Webster
-
and my brother in law. Anybody here have a brother law? Raise your
-
hand. If you have a brother, you know who I'm talking about it.
-
You know how brother laws are? I no, none of you are
-
a brother fall of but Joel, how brother laws are? And there stood
-
brother Kevin and my brother in law and they're right out right in front of
-
me, and they're point Keavy and then they're talking and they're laughing because I's
-
up in the air and I'm sitting there, thank you. Oh my goodness,
-
I'm getting a blessing my pains maybe right and left. I'm feeling the
-
best I've felt. And so blaw and Brian Miller and Kevin Webster's laughter.
-
I just wanted just you know, assaulted me. And Brian, being a
-
brother in law, he knew that I wasn't happy about one. And he's
-
got my pisa and I looked and it hit me and this was next.
-
So I like going to the Henner. That's all that farm. That the
-
one's the air? Wow? Right, then the Lord heal my parents?
-
Maybe the air? Oh Lord, I know else. I was so excited
-
that I could get my left arm in the air. Then I started looking
-
around for my brother and my sister and my cousin. You know how churches
-
are for people that I loved, and people hadn't waved down me in years,
-
you know, I wanted to wave down and just love to see what
-
I torn and everybody that I would wave that, some of them ran,
-
some of them got up and danced. Oh but it was pandemonium. People
-
was just absolutely getting so blessed to see that my paralyze and I thought it
-
was all just because my paralyzed arm was now working, I you know,
-
listen. And then my good close friend I used to work for him,
-
brother Day, was sitting on the platform and I for Daddy. I waved,
-
smiled, and he jumped up. He went, oh my God,
-
I can see. I'm oh, thank you. She the Lord opened up
-
my blind that I that night, for I'd only had that band up in
-
the air, but I was staying every little b Did I tell you that
-
big lossers have already told me there was nothing they could ever do about my
-
vision because the optacle nerve the sufferance had happened where there was no way they
-
could ever do searching. And there's no medicine for that. There's no castling
-
that can help them. All. They had already down and rode my small
-
children into special classes to deal with having a blind daddy. Oh but I'm
-
so glad that night. I smiled, waiter and I'm Jesus, is my
-
healer, I said, Jesus, it is by healer. He I felt
-
like it. No body, nobody could understand what I was going Nobody but
-
I'm so glad that it no time did Jesus think me, even when I
-
couldn't get down the little while of the church without falling. Jesus never rated
-
me, even when I done my first coind thewnver trying to praise the Lord
-
that I just raised that hard. Thank you Jesus that you want to and
-
thank God, here's with you right now. I want you wait for Come
-
on the love, Hordy, come on the worship. Let you know how
-
word he is to be hollellujah. Haven't the worst lodd loading Lord non't want
-
to tell you. I don't know how long the shouting went on that night,
-
how long that everybody just worshiped the Lord. I know that um.
-
I was told later that we didn't leave there at about one o'clock in the
-
morning. That's a mighty good servant man, now. But finally the time
-
came the brother in mill said, let's all stand to be dismissed. Oh,
-
could I tell you there was so many times I want you to hear
-
me tell this toy. There was many times that I had made up my
-
mind at that hospital bed at home. You know, we had the two
-
small children, just me and Missy and so different people in the family would
-
come and stay a few days with Missy to help her out, to take
-
care of me, and that, you know, and so so many times
-
would I make up my mind, especially in the middle of the night.
-
I know I can go to the restroom by myself. I don't need to
-
grunt and holler and carry on and ring a bell to get somebody to wake
-
up to take me. I'm going to myself. Come on there now.
-
I can preach you well on the importance haven't been made up mind? Amen,
-
But if you're depending on yourself, you've got to have a made up
-
mind in life. Preaching nothing about church, about the Bible, about the
-
Lord. I'm just telling it is a fact of life that if you don't
-
have a made up mind, you ain't gonna ever accomplish anything in your life.
-
Amen. But there is a whole lot of troubles in your life,
-
in your family, on your workplace that you need dunk. Yeah, come
-
on now, it's gonna take more than a made up mind. Damn.
-
Time and time again, I wouldn't make up my mind in the middle of
-
nights. I would get over on the end of the bed and you get
-
where my feet could if I remember, I just my toes could barely touch
-
the ground, you know, until I would try to stand up, and
-
I would think, Okay, look, I'm a grown man. I don't
-
need my mom, my dad, my sister, my brother, and my
-
cousin whoever is here at that time to take me to the bathroom. I'm
-
going by myself. I'm tired of being treated like a baby. I'm going.
-
I would make up my mind, and when I would stand up,
-
I would never stop. I would just keep going. And I remember one
-
particular night my dad being there. And he's been my dad all my life,
-
you know, and I've never seen my dad that mad at me before,
-
since he'd come out of there and blas it sorry. He was in
-
his boxer shorts. And the end of the night he came running in there
-
by the way I was going outside because when I hit before, you know,
-
I made a big flumping sound and whatever flumping that's a word, I've
-
been crashing sound and hollered and Dad come running in there, and he was
-
so mad at me and hollered at me and helped get me up off the
-
ground and to the bathroom and back to bed. And I'm telling you he
-
told me, and no short of words, that I better never do that
-
again. Oh but I'm so glad that night I stood up at what I
-
did. I came to a time of the greatest battle within myself that I
-
have ever fought. Because I was standing there and something as loud as rushing
-
waters in my head. I was saying, Okay, look right, there's
-
your water. The Lord has touched your arm. You have now stood up
-
on your own. Praise God. You can see. I come see real
-
well at that time. But I was able to see, and something was
-
telling me, don't blow this. This has been a great service. You
-
know. It's one o'clock in the morning for crying out loud. Don't let
-
the service end with you being laying in the floor work because you're trying to
-
walk and everybody trying to see if you're okay and calling the amals and whatever
-
else. Grab your walker. Don't do anything stupid at a time like this.
-
There is promises written to us. The Lord knew that this time was
-
gonna come in my life and in your life. Amen, the Bible says
-
in First Corinthia's fourteen and four. Let all things be done decently and in
-
order. Hey, man, now there is nothing in deceense. We're out
-
of order for a man that has not taken a step a long time to
-
be standing there and standing up for the first time, holding out to nothing,
-
trying to take a step, because I felt like something in my heart
-
was so quietly, lovingly saying this is it, take a step, This
-
is it, take a step now. But brother Doug, now listen to
-
me. How do you know when it's John and not yourself. I've been
-
there when I felt like the people was in themselves, and one of the
-
things let me know that they was in themselves because it wasn't decent right,
-
and it wasn't in order. Oh, but your step of faith that God
-
is dealing with you about, come on here now, the Bible says in
-
first printhis fourteen thirty three, God is not the author of confusion, but
-
of peace. As in all churches of the Sex, there is nothing confusing
-
about you taking a step of faith with what God has done for you in
-
this meeting. Your convention is fixing that come up here in a few days.
-
I hope that this is the greatest conviction, the greatest meeting that la
-
Belle has ever seen anywhere in each other. And part of it is because
-
there's folks at the LaBelle hole in his church that are believing that God has
-
healed him, that God has touched him, that God has blessed them and
-
help and oh, it is not out of order, It is not indecent,
-
and it is not the author of confusion. For you to live by
-
faith. I care not today what tomorrow may bring shadow or sun will shine
-
a rain. I know my Lord ruling or everything. All of my worried
-
is faith. And I'm living by faith in Jesus. I'm trusting confid his
-
great love from all I'm saved. It is sheltering. I'm living by faith
-
and I feel now. The Bible says in Psalms chapter number one hundred and
-
nineteen, that's the longest chapter in the Bible, Psalms, Chapter one hundred
-
nineteen. I'll give you a dollar if you can quote the whole chapter two
-
mey verse eighty nine forever, Oh Lord, thy word is settled. And
-
come on, yes, did you remember that I preached the other day?
-
And all I'll tell you what I love preaching at this church. I love
-
you're a pastor and his bride so much. You guys know how to help
-
a preach out. And I preached on and they shall, they hands on
-
the sick, and they shall. Oh, my friends, his word is
-
forever settled back. I'm very aware that there are some that was real nit
-
of God, that the Lord really used them to spread faith, and people
-
really didn't get healed, that the money got bigger than their faith. And
-
there are some that never had it never will because they're nothing but funnies.
-
Come on now, and no matter how many television stations they start and how
-
many numbers that they show you, it's a bunch of foolishness that changes day
-
by day. Who's the big guy now, and who's the big one on
-
the television, all of that stuff. But I got news for you before
-
any of them ever started that stuff. Jesus was all. And even though
-
that they're trying to make it into an industry, and I've been quite successful.
-
Fool a bunch of folks that don't want to live sacrificial and live at
-
an according to the sacrifices of brains and give their bodies a living sacrifice to
-
the Lord. Even though there's a lot of folks that don't live rights.
-
Jesus is still healing people that are living rights that aren't trusting him a man,
-
his word is forever something that no matter how much foolishness is going on
-
in this world. Oh, let me, let me be playing with you.
-
I am here tonight, and I would be very careful because I do
-
not have one elnce of pride, of foolish pride in my life, I
-
promise you. But I do want you to know, as the last night
-
of this meeting, that I hope that you forget my name. You vot
-
round of this parking lot, and I hope that when you talk about what
-
God has done for him and what God has done in this meeting, that
-
my name was never mentioned because I didn't do it for him. Come on
-
here, man, Oh but could I tell you, my friend, gee,
-
it's all about Jeeves a man. But anyhow, I had the privilege
-
to receive a phone call from the pastor of TBM, which is a worldwide
-
large Christian television and one time I mentioned Christian television and brother Don Rich was
-
there sitting on the front seats and being a not too kind guy that he
-
can be. Sometimes he's a little pushed the television. I didn't know there
-
was such a thing. So trit to get all that subject. It's quitter
-
like good. But TV in the pastor called me. He said, I
-
have heard and his grandmother I actually pastored when this happens in Illinois, And
-
he said, I want to invite you to come and be interviewed on my
-
program. I want to have an interview with you and let you tell what
-
the Lord has done for you. Wouldn't pray about it? And Tordyman said,
-
I'm sorry, I don't feel like that. Scott's willing. I don't
-
feel like that that's what the Lord has done this for. And so he
-
called me back again. I want to call you again to let you know
-
that instead of an interview, I have a better ideal. How about if
-
I just give you time for you to preach and you to tell what God
-
has done for you and a preaching formats and let the whole world see it
-
here what God has done for you. Prayed about it like it was God's
-
willing. He called the third time to say, listen, it won't be
-
just an interview, it won't be just a message. I will give you
-
a week long live revival at our studios that will be full of people for
-
you to preach a revival about what God has done for you. And I
-
said, sir, I want you to know. And I prayed about this
-
and this is what I feel like that God has spoken to my heart abouts
-
God has let me know that what He did for me, he did not
-
do so that TBN would have a lot of money and checks sent to TV
-
him. That's not why God did this. God has trusted me that I
-
would go to every holiness church that would allow me to come and share with
-
him what God has done in my life. That's why God has done.
-
And he said, I that you understand the great how did he say it?
-
Was that monetary lucrative opportunity? That was it? Not monetary lucrative?
-
And I had to found out that that word means but my money. He
-
said. I hope this way, he said, He said, I hope
-
you understand the great lucrative opportunity that we're passing missing out on this revival,
-
my friend, as I stand here of Pastor and Sister happy as I have
-
the opportunity to be in South Blorida at an absolute, wonderful, terrific Holiness
-
church I am so thankful that I am sharing with you that Jesus is my
-
healing, that his word forever, and that I am not bringing in a
-
lucrative opportunity to Christian table a man, and the Bible says in Hebrews thirteen
-
seventeen, obey them that have the rule over you and submit yourselves. God
-
has made the choice. You felt the leading of the Lord to this to
-
be your home church for lots of reasons. I'm sure the Lord has gotten
-
more than one reason. The proximity of where you live. I don't know.
-
It's a beautiful building. You've made friends, there's good people here,
-
and in doing so, He has placed under shepherd. He has given you
-
a shepherd. You are the sheep, and it is God's will that he
-
has said, obeyed your pastor Amen. What I want you to know is
-
when I'm talking about obeying God in faith, when the Lord speaks to you,
-
it will not be indecent. And now before, if you feel like
-
the Lord is dealing with you to do something in your your ministry, in
-
your life in the church, whatever it is, it will always be decent
-
and it will be in order, and it will not be confusing come on
-
there. It will not be confusing, hey man, And it will never
-
the word of God has already been settled in heaven. It will never contradict
-
the word about I said. It will never contradict the word of God.
-
And my friends, God has given you a shepherd. And if you ever
-
feel like doing something and your shepherd says not, Now, that's not the
-
way we're gonna do this. Let's find another way. Now. Whatever it
-
is, whatever that God deals with you about, God has place one to
-
be over you. And if we're going to do it God's way, it
-
has to be according to the pastor's leadership. Does that make sense to you?
-
Well? And now the Holy Ghost has moved upon me, and I'm
-
standing there and I'm facing the biggest spiritual battle decision now I've ever had in
-
my entire life. I feel the Lord speaking to my heart. Take a
-
step, but it's so loud, I can still just it was so loud.
-
Don't be stupid, don't ruin this great night by laying on the floor,
-
and everybody's scared and worried. Grab your walker, stalls a small still
-
voice. Take a step, my friends, I said, all those things
-
of reading those verses to you to let you know just because you say,
-
God said, it has to line up. Amen, There's been better people
-
than you. Listen to me now, There's been better people than me that
-
really thought God was dealing with them. And it wasn't God. Amen.
-
Not everybody that does something crazy and regretful in the house of God was devil
-
possessed. A lot of it was good people that just got themselves. Amen.
-
But those scriptures, and I read to you tonight, it has to
-
line up with all of those days. And when it does, and God
-
tells you to quit taking that prescription, take and whatever it does line up
-
with all those things. And I've read to you times and God says,
-
leave the walker behind, leave it behind. When it does line up with
-
all of those things. And I've said to you, and you feel that
-
something inside of you was saying, this is God, this is what you
-
need to do. You need to do what God has telling you to do
-
it. Hey, man, come on now. It took me a long
-
time long in my mind fighting this battle. I wanted to so bad,
-
but I ain't gonna like you, folks. I was so scared. I
-
have never been any more scared in my life. Because I knew that people
-
was looking. I had my eyes closed. But I'm not stupid. I
-
can't say that. I looked around so everybody was looking, even though I
-
could now see if they was looking at me or not, I had my
-
eyes closed. I was so scared I was gonna end up on the floor.
-
I said, m h, Jesus, almost Phil, I did.
-
I almost went down? What I did? Come on here down? Oh,
-
come on here, Jesus said, do you see? Yeah, but
-
I see when the trees warn you just need another touch. Yeah, come
-
on, come on. Oh, I'm telling you that when you're heel to
-
next game, you feel than you ever hit the LA. But I aren't
-
telling you. Don't quit leaving. Don't quick give me my fake. I
-
can't go today with the Lord. Raby shot out the same shine, who
-
know my Lord forever? All of the worries faking, I'm fake. I'm
-
living my sad Jesus trip another step? Yeah, yeah it was a little
-
better. Yeah, what good? It was a little better that night,
-
my dad, I'm at my third step. My dad, bless his heart,
-
he comes. He grabbed my walker and he got to his quicks.
-
He could He said, here's son. Here's son Grabbit's grand quick quick,
-
quickquick grabbing. So Dad, you can have it. I'm never gonna use
-
it again. Shot. Everybody might think you're crazy when you take a step
-
of it lines up to the word, my friend, go ahead and take
-
your step. Everybody said, how the hockey's gone and the lines up to
-
the word, and you're still feeling it deep in your hearts. Hey,
-
God can speak with an audible voice. I know that. I know God
-
can speak with an audible voice. But I didn't hear no audible voice said
-
you're heeled. Never heard it. It was a step off of faith because
-
Jesus told me in my hearts. Oh, come on, dear, now,
-
God deals with your heart, my friend. We are his sheep,
-
and we know his voice. I don't know yet. Oh, and God
-
is speaking to you. Listen to me and obey him and take that step
-
faith. Do what God wants you to do. Is that all right?
-
It has to line up to the word, friends, It has to line
-
up to the word. The words already been settled in heaven. It will
-
not be confusion, it will not be indecent, it will not be out
-
of order. And your pastor will agree and will be forte he on now
-
if the line's up according to the word obecoon obecome. Oh, my friend,
-
it was not for weeks, not for months, years. Everywhere I
-
went, I remember walking. We got this big mall which is like three
-
miles I think from our home church called Northgate Mall, just a huge,
-
big mall, and uh, I was there one time, and I remember
-
why I was there. I was there to buy my wife a gift.
-
You know, I'm not a shuffle and it's putting a Walmart and pirate kilt
-
and I hate those gigantic stores. You know, go to the mall and
-
you know exactly what you want, you know which store to go and get
-
it, you know what I'm talking about. And so I'm walking in the
-
mall and my limp was so pitiful, you know, I couldn't much bend
-
my knee and just a really bad limp. And there was some joan men.
-
They saw me walking toward them, you know, they kind of had
-
a pretty cool walk, and they thought that would like somebody will be fun
-
of you. They thought I was making fun of them. They felt that
-
I was trying to be like fill or something that wasn't me trying to look
-
cool. I was living for crying out and I got so ticked off these
-
guys. They stopped on this. Oh you think you're all that I look
-
yet you good? Yet you can't. You can't shut you can't, you
-
can't, I said. They started making fun walking away, like where I
-
mercy? So I really look cool? It doesn't feel cool, but um,
-
And every time I went to church, I could not get on the
-
platform unless you know, a couple of men usually and sometimes just one would
-
help me to get up on the platform because I couldn't get my leg to
-
right. And then finally I got to where I could get on the platform.
-
But and I would I was evangelizing U. When I left the church.
-
I would always go to the platform and hold on to the bobele this
-
grather to hold on and get myself up. But I want you to see,
-
souse, this has only been maybe a year and a half or so.
-
Right now, most of the time on the platform that's got more than
-
one step, I take both of you on one step, and then I
-
do that just because I want to fall. You know, I'm too stupid.
-
You know they're faith and that's kind of bad. I'm sorry. I
-
personality good idea, but I do it that way for safety. All right,
-
let me concentrate. That's not because I'm so good. That's not because
-
I'm so talented. That's because for me, what I could do. And
-
now let me explain this real quick. The Lord knew what did we say
-
today is Jeune twenty eighth. The Lord knew Jeune twenty eight, twenty twenty
-
three was gonna come, that you was going to be facing what you're facing.
-
The Lord knew about the problems that you're happy, and the Lord knew
-
that I would He would trust me. I shouldn't say, I should say
-
the Lord trusted me that I would come here and share my story with you,
-
not with TBN because I'm trying to get rich in faints. That's not
-
what this is about. This is about Chi. It is not by accident.
-
It was confirmation from heaven. Whenever the pastor begins the service telling you
-
you're special to God. It was confirmation. When my wife winged over to
-
me and said, I feel like I need to tell them about you know,
-
the time the angels. I said, obey God. She said,
-
what do you think it will fit? You think of you your eyes.
-
I said, yeah, it's all It's about it. You obey God,
-
listen false God knew tonight was coming. This whole service has been about you,
-
because this is an important decision in your life. This is an important
-
moment in your life. Every head bound and every eye closed all over the
-
building. Oh Geeesus, Jesus, Jesus, right now, Lord, We're
-
not asking for an audible voice, though we would love to hear it tonight.
-
We're not asking for an audible voice, though we know Lord that all
-
of it could be just shaking by how loud and powerful your voice would be.
-
But Lord, I'm asking for you right now to speak to the hearts
-
of people all over this church house. What would you have them to do?
-
God, What would you have in their life? Lord, Oh God,
-
I pray Lord, give them the courage to live by faith, Give
-
them the direction right now, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Oh Lord.
-
The Bible says, the footsteps of a righteous man, or ordered words of
-
the good man, are ordered by the Lord. In the name of Jesus.
-
Show us, We're gonna put our foot down nest in the name of
-
Jesus, in the name of Jesus. All right, this is what I
-
want you to do tonight. I want to give you the choice. These
-
altars are open, and there are some people here that you need to spend
-
some serious time. We're not in a hurry. You need to spend some
-
serious time talking it over with Jesus. You need to spend some serious time
-
making some promises to Jesus seeking his face. God has been dealing with you,
-
and it's time that you make your vows to the Lord. What are
-
you going to do? What are you going to do? There's some of
-
you that you need more. You need another touch. You're saying, oh,
-
but seeing minas trees walking. The Lord would love to give you another
-
touch tonight. I believe one hundred percent with all of my hearts, God
-
is going to move in this place. If you need to come to the
-
altar placed, if you would love to give me and pastor Howe the opportunity
-
to pray with you and for you, just line up between the all to
-
run the platform here tonight. Just line up here, the gentleman on this
-
side, the ladies on this side, line up and give us the opportunity
-
to pray for you tonight. Or whether you're in the altar or whether you're
-
coming to be anointed and pray for it. God has got a very special,
-
a very special peasure for you tonight. Yeah yeah, thank you,
-
Jesus, thank you.
