The Lord has done for us right here in the service tonight. I'm so
-
thankful for it. I appreciate your prayers. I appreciate you praying one for
-
another. You have pulling partners, people right here in this building that are
-
pulling the card of life with you. I'm so thankful that on that cart
-
is the ark of God, the spirit of God. You also have prayer
-
partners, folks that are praying with you. We saw this demonstrated just a
-
little while ago as you all prayed for one another. Certainly, there are
-
many needs throughout the Body of Christ corporately worldwide. There are many needs.
-
I'm telling you. The devil has just commanded an onslaught from Hell to attack
-
the Church. The strategy of Satan is to wear out the righteous, to
-
make them weary in the battle. This is not a playground that we stand
-
on tonight. We're standing on a battle field. This earth that we call
-
the planet Earth, and this solar system. It is literally a battle field
-
the forces of good versus the forces of evil. And I'm glad you've decided
-
you're on the good side. Somebody said, how do you know the side
-
that you all are on is the good side? Well, I can tell
-
you when I read this word of God, and it is his word,
-
I believe that we have aligned our lives, our speech, our manners,
-
our methods, and everything in line with the things that are good. The
-
Bible said there would be a generation that got it mixed up and called good
-
things evil things and evil things good things. But I do believe we're on
-
the good side, fighting for the right. And as Brother Samuel said,
-
we can call on Jesus anytime, and I'm so thankful his name is a
-
strong tower that the righteous run into and are safe. I feel like it
-
materializes at any place, at any time, at any moment. When we
-
called upon the name of the Lord, we activate the spirit of God.
-
The good holy ghost forms that mighty fortress that we're able to enter in.
-
And oh, yes, the enemy is certainly surrounding the people of God and
-
trying to wear them out. But as long as you remain in that safe
-
tower, there's provision enough in this life. You pilgrims, stay in the
-
tower. You got your pulling partners in there, your prayer partners in there.
-
Stay in that strong tower. Jesus will wear your enemy out before they
-
wear you out. I can assure you that because the old prophet asked the
-
Lord to open the eyes of the young minister, and whatever his eyes were
-
open, he was able to see that the age of the Lord doesn't and
-
camp around about those that fear the Lord, and that the enemy is outnumbered.
-
I was praying a little while ago, I said, God, this
-
is your people praying. I said, undoubtedly, there's been times they've been
-
outwitted by the devil, but the devil has never outwitted you, God.
-
And that's why we need the Holy Ghost. We need the spirit of God
-
to come in. I ask you to just pray more than you ever have
-
before about allowing him to live inside of you. Be possessed of the Holy
-
Ghost. And you say that makes me feel uncomfortable to be possessed by someone,
-
Well, your soul already belongs to God. So just let the Holy
-
Ghost take up a residency in that temple that already belongs to him. There's
-
so many people to following their temple that above their door post as the word
-
Ichabod, God is nowhere around. Inside of their being has long been since
-
vacated that and the Bible said, if God vacates such a place, the
-
devil comes in and he brings a bunch of his buddies. So it'd be
-
all right with me if God just possessed take full possession of your spirit,
-
heart buying soul, body, take full possession of the Bethel Holiness Church.
-
Would you love or God to continue to say this is holy ground. I
-
know we can't make a holy cow out of furniture and things like that,
-
but you know, I do believe that this eleven fifty three Cornelion Drive the
-
Belle, Florida is a holy place. I feel like this piece of real
-
estate has been designated by the Lord to be a soul saving station, also
-
a health clinic, a place where people come and they are healed of all
-
of their diseases. Assist. How Will made reference to something that happened to
-
me today. I haven't ever had this happen. I guess I've always had
-
a really strong back, and I can't think of anything that I've done that
-
would have caused me to throw my back out, as the old timers would
-
say. But I've been down in my back all day long. I wasn't
-
really planning on preaching up until during the scene. I'm always prepared to preach.
-
I've got a notebook in my office with sermons that I've worked on as
-
God lays things on my heart. Sister Hannah can witness and testify say that
-
today during lunch, I cried and said that God had given me something to
-
preach, and I texted myself rather than eat for a while. Just's things
-
that were coming to me. So I'm always ready, Brother Nathaniel, to
-
preach, but my notebook is in the office. I do not consider myself
-
to be numbered among the brethren that take great pleasure in coming unprepared. I
-
am among that camp that likes to be prepared. I like to have a
-
few notes here and there. I don't rely upon them. People have told
-
me you don't stand on top of your notebook very long. Do yes and
-
no? But I like to have something to fall back on too. And
-
I like to be studious. Do you all know that studious? I might
-
to study to show myself approved unto God, not unto my brethren, not
-
to outdo somebody, outperformed somebody. This isn't a performance or is it a
-
competition. But I do like to show myself approved unto God. A workman
-
that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. I
-
don't want to go home tonight when it's just me and God upon the bed
-
and say, Lord, I feeled you. I feeled your people because I
-
was unprepared. Sister would prepared something for me. I've told you all this.
-
I've said that every service, just about there's something that gets left for
-
me at my office door. It's a card a lot of times, it's
-
a cake. It's a box of brownies, cookies, drinks, funny type
-
drinks, just different things. Pete flavored pepsis just you. Folks are good
-
to me. And I was down in my back, sitting in that chair,
-
and her knock sounded just like the first ladies, just like sister how
-
And I said, you know, ordinarily I would not answer that door because
-
on my door it says do not disturb it. I remember her and I
-
had a prior agreement that she would show up at that door this Wednesday,
-
and I'd forgot about it. And I said, that sounds like the first
-
lady's knock. She knows my condition. I'm down in my back. It
-
pains me to do anything whatsoever, and it must be urging. So I
-
got up and opened the door, and Sister wooding. The look on my
-
face was a look of surprise, and I was startled because I thought it
-
was sister how it was sister wooting them. My sister wood was being just
-
as sweet because in her hands was as heavy lemon pound cake, if I
-
noticed it correctly, in a jar full of homemade blue tata. I'm telling
-
you, I was just tempted to hang out in the office, be down
-
in my back, said in my office chair, with the door crack,
-
and have all these preachers just preach and snack. I could get by with
-
it. You know that you wouldn't even known it. But I'm glad I'm
-
in the house of God, and I feel like dear and the congregational singing
-
actresses to how obeyed the Lord. I feel like the Lord gave me something
-
specific for people in this building. And we may or may not be long,
-
who knows. I don't have any co text with this at this time.
-
We'll see how the Holy Ghost leads us. So again, I'm not
-
numbered among my dear brethren to take great pride and joy and being unprepared.
-
And I know what they would say to that. They would say they read
-
their Bible continually, and they study and they pray and they preach without that's
-
great, so do why so we're fixing to see that. But there's been
-
some of those guys, Brother Nathaniel, I wish they had to wrote some
-
things down, because they come to preach on heedling. Two minutes later they
-
were preaching on salvation. Two minutes after that, they were preaching on sanctification.
-
Three minutes after that they were preaching on the Holy ghost baptism. Five
-
minutes later they were blistering everybody about holiness. And then whenever I went home,
-
I said, they were not on topic, and so may I stay
-
on topic something that the Lord gave me less than thirty minutes ago, and
-
I was familiar with this chapter of the Bible. Matt Director attention to Saint
-
Luke's Gospel, chapter number seventeen. We will begin a reading in verse number
-
eleven. You all look great tonight, just a good crowd souls that belonged
-
to God. This lets me know that he is still in business. He's
-
still in business. We visited Branson, Missouri. Brother Philip and I went
-
up there just recently to celebrate his upcoming marriage to sister Elizabeth, and there
-
were a couple of places that we were expecting to visit, Brotherwood, that
-
were out of business. There were other places that were yell in business.
-
A man, how many of you know God's still in business. I look
-
out here and see God is still saving souls. About sixty something people blood
-
balled, happy to be in church, one with another, shouting like you
-
all did, getting in the spirit and the power of God blessing you.
-
As Sister Howwell said, in the last few weeks, it seems like all
-
of our preachers have been pulling partners. There's too many of you to name,
-
but every time you testified, exorder or preachers, seem like we've all
-
been yoked up. We're not like those guys that are part of the ecumenical
-
church or movement. They trying to yoke up with people of all different faiths
-
and denominations, and they're gonna have conflict. Brother, just you, that's
-
like trying to put a oxen with a donkey. You know, they're unequally
-
yoked. But it's been so good to have these preacher brethren be yoked up
-
right here with me, pulling with me, and they I've been putting an
-
emphasis on seeking the Lord and making the lords your first priority. And I
-
could tell that tonight was Sister Howell was testifying and challenging this younger generation about
-
prayer. Sister whooping, I could smell the old smelly possum of condemnation.
-
I could smell the old smelly possum of condemnation. You know, the old
-
possums. They're ugly and they are stinky. They're a nasty only creature.
-
And I could smell that old, nasty possum of condemnation. Can you come
-
in here Sunday morning without condemnation and say I have prayed? Sister Hannah said,
-
well, Dad, what did you do to your back before we left
-
the house? Because I could barely walk, just take baby steps, you
-
know, And she said, pray? Is that what she did? Prayer?
-
I said, well, come to think of it, I did sit
-
in my bedroom floor for about two hours last night, Indian style, which
-
is a no no when you're almost fifty years of age, and prayed for
-
about two hours. And then I found myself bending way over Brother Nathaniel like
-
the old patriarchs would do, put the head between the knees, And I
-
thought man Today's coming when I could no longer do this, just you know,
-
get into fetal position and pray and groan and travail, and I thought
-
maybe I did injure it while I was praying. I can't think of what
-
I've done, but I do know that I felt a little bit of strength
-
when you all were praying. When Brother Staret said, hey, push pastor
-
forward and let's pray for him, I did feel some strength and I did
-
feel a touch. I can't say that I'm healed, i'd be lying,
-
but I did feel some strength in my body. So it's Sister Howell.
-
She challenged you to listen to what the preachers have been saying and get past
-
that point of condemnation. So we see that the devil is not letting up,
-
so you might as well join us and help us. How many of
-
you know if you're pushing an apple cart uphill, it's easier if you have
-
ten people versus one. Do you all know that I remember these two young
-
men years ago, realize that they did not know how to drive a stick
-
shift? How many of you old timers know what it is to drive a
-
stick shift? Anybody a manual transmission just a few of you. How about
-
driving a stick shift if you will. That's in the console of the dash,
-
I mean up there in the steering column. Anybody. Yeah, there's
-
only a handful of us that's ever done that. But these young men got
-
into their grandpa's truck, and then they got into other vehicles, and they
-
were doing pretty good learning how to operate that motor vehicle that had the manual
-
transmission. But they could not find a reverse and so one of these young
-
men spent his time all day long pushing that vehicle back while they the guy
-
push the clutch in or put it in neutral, and they backed up.
-
Now that's a sight to behold, Brother Jeremy. All the man had to
-
do was just learn how to put it in reverse, dump the clutch,
-
seller push the accelerator, and back up. But brother Tyler, he worked
-
that brother hard all day long. And so at the end of the day,
-
the old brother said, I'm down on my back. My back's hurting
-
me. You've caused me to injure something because of me having to push you
-
in reverse. Now, and you'll get the spiritual application of that at some
-
point during this message or tomorrow next week. We need you to help us
-
push. We need you to get out and help us push. And then
-
also we don't need you holding the break. We don't need you not learning
-
how to put it in reverse and back up and go forward. We need
-
you to figure out that we need you to the church. Say, amen,
-
we need you to figure out that we need you. Amen. All
-
right, let's look at this which you stand for the reading of the Word
-
of the Lord. Saint Luke's Gospel, chapter number seventeen, beginning with verse
-
number eleven. This is a narrative regarding the ten Lepers, a narrative about
-
leprous people. The Bible said, and it came to pass as he went
-
to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee, and
-
as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were
-
lepers, which stood afar off, and they lifted up their voices and said,
-
Jesus Master, have mercy on us. And when he saw them,
-
he said, unto them, go shoot yourself, unto the priest. And
-
it came to pass that as they went they were cleansed. And one of
-
them, when he saw that he was held, turned back and with a
-
loud voice glorified God and fell down on his face at his speed, giving
-
him things that he was a Samaritan. And Jesus answering said, were there
-
not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? There are not found that
-
returned to give glory to God saved this stranger again. He said, unto
-
him, arise, go thy way, Thy faith hath made thee whole.
-
Could we pray, Heavenly Father, we thank you for the opportunity to be
-
in the house of the Lord. I thank you God for this thy people.
-
I thank you for the way that you have helped them in this service
-
tonight. Lord, I know this some of them a little bit uneasy about
-
me attempting to preach. Being down in my back, Lord, I asked
-
you to just help them have off. It's in you the same way I
-
do that. You'll take care of me because you take care of yours.
-
Help me, Lord, anoint me. Help me to say only the things
-
you would have me to say, nothing more or less. Annoint the people.
-
I pray, help them to hear what the spirit saith under the church,
-
and maybe depart this place joyfully and not sorrowfully. In Jesus name,
-
Amen, you may be seated, look at your neighbor and say, hey,
-
neighbor, has your soul been made whole? Hey neighbor, has your
-
soul been made whole? As you are were praying one for another, the
-
Holy Ghost spoke those words into my heart. Has your soul been made humble?
-
Those of you that know anything about Saint Luke's gospel, you know that
-
the author of this gospel is a position, one that was admired by all
-
of his patience and the people with in his community. He is known as
-
the Beloved Physician. If I was living in this day and time and in
-
this town, I would have selected Luke to be my doctor. And I
-
would have been disappointed when I found out that he had abandoned his practice to
-
tether himself to great men of God in order to further or advance this Gospel
-
of Jesus Christ. I would have been disappointed to have found that I have
-
to do some research and find out if there's a doctor equal to this man.
-
I mean, when you earned the status of beloved physician, you know
-
he's not a hack and white job like that. When the sister Howell had
-
that was delivering our firstborn son after brother Jeremiah had been born a nurse.
-
Come into our room with this deer in the headlight expression, and her eyes
-
were as big as saucers as the old timers used to say. And she'd
-
say, Wow, that was rough, that was a wild experience, as
-
she looked at sus To Howel and I and said, I am so sorry
-
for the way that doctor acted. His bedside manners were horrible. He jerked
-
your wife around like a piece of meetings. He was just so disrespectful.
-
She said, I can't stand this man. And I remember having a forgiven
-
spirit and a rooken heart for that particular man because in our time of need
-
and crisis, he didn't know how to rein in his emotions. I feel
-
like this man Luke had reined in his emotions. And those of you that
-
are in this building that know anything about humanity, you know that each individual
-
within humanity has a spirit, they have a soul, and they have a
-
body. God has gifted us with these things that I thank the Lord that
-
we have a spirit, a soul that belongs to God, and a physical
-
body that is beginning to break down the very moment that you breathe the breath
-
of life, when you were brought into this world between your mother's knees,
-
and you gasp for air, your body begin to die. And you know,
-
the Bible has talked to us a little bit right here in the seventeenth
-
chapter about leprosy. I know that there's a lot of people today, Brother
-
Nathaniel, that know nothing about leprosy. But missionaries that have been on the
-
mission field, especially those that have been the Third World countries, we know
-
all too well that every now and then you will run into somebody that has
-
leprosy. And if I understand it correctly, it is highly contagious. And
-
they have taught the people to stay on the outside, and so they develop
-
this anti social mentality because they are unaccepted by their peers. I feel like
-
I'm going to talk to somebody here tonight. There's a reason why you feel
-
like you're an outsider. There's a reason why a revival after revival, you
-
wonder why did I not find myself as the three that was so close to
-
Jesus. They're like John the Beloved that found himself leading on the bosom of
-
Jesus. Why do I continually find myself on the outside of the outskirts of
-
the church. Even though you're in the building. You can tell your present
-
in body, but your soulless you can tell that your spirit is not in
-
the service. So one third of your person is in the service, and
-
the other two thirds or somewhere else. I don't know if they're on the
-
job, or they're out there in the world, or they're caught up in
-
a mess of Perhaps you're just sin sick. You know, the Bible spoke
-
of sin being like an unto lepers. Those of you that have studied the
-
Bible, you know that leprosy is a type of sin. Sin is a
-
type of leprosy. They're a parallel. And we find, Brother to Samuel,
-
that there's ten men here that are finding themselves to be anti social.
-
They probably don't even understand the things that are going on in the city Puli.
-
They're relying on words to come to their ears at a distance. You
-
and I are blessed to be able to be sitting right here locally in the
-
presence of Jesus Christ among brothers and sisters. Despite whatever might be going on
-
inside of you. You may be saved and sactified and holy ghost field,
-
or you might be living in condemnation, or you might be ate up with
-
sin, but you're allowed to be here. God has not called for the
-
church to be segregated. God's allowing the infidel to come into the House of
-
Lord among the believer. God's allowing those that have been disobedient to come in
-
and mix and mingle with the obedient. Because God is hoping and we are
-
hoping. You know the Bible that you will pray. The Bible said that
-
God is not willing that anybody should perish. God's unwilling that you would lose
-
out with him. God's unwilling that you would lose your soul. God's unwilling
-
that you would barter with a devil and exchange that soul for frivolous things.
-
God does not desire that. God doesn't want to see you spend an eternity
-
in a devil's hell. Nor does God want to see you trippting on the
-
outskirts of Christian society or among the family of God. God doesn't want you
-
to be having to peak to the glorious things that are taking place. God
-
doesn't want your back up against the wall when the Holy Ghost is moving.
-
During worship services and prayer services, but there's an ugly thing called sin that
-
keeps us from coming within the house of God. Sin keeps us come from
-
coming within the presence of God. I've already said that there was some of
-
you tonight. You smelled by that old, sour, slimy, smelly possum
-
of condemnation. It is not the pleasant aroma to the people of God or
-
Jesus Christ. And I know that these lepers as they came around these people,
-
immediately the stitch would be recognizable that these people were lepers, even though
-
they had not come within proximity of the Church or the body of Christ or
-
the believers. They were smelling or not listening to me. There was something
-
distasteful about their appearance. There was something unpleasant about to odor emitting from their
-
body. And sin has this way about it. You don't have to be
-
an alcoholic to be unpleasant to be around. You don't have to be a
-
drug addic to be displeasing to the Lord or to the body of Christ.
-
I've already said it. God is not glory or gloating in your simple condition.
-
God does not want you to be riddled with catcher, or with disease,
-
or with sin or leprosy. God's not willing that you go to hell.
-
God does not want you being a misfit. I want to ask you
-
the question, has your soul been made hold? I'll perform it to now.
-
So if I'm here in this narrative that Jesus is not a respector a
-
person. He came into Samaria. He came into that area, brother Rick,
-
that most people, especially the Jews, would have been avoiding. I
-
don't know the town, a lot of things. If I had been able
-
to study and prepare for this message, I could have told you. But
-
there were other times that Jesus would pass through Samaria, and the Bible said
-
that Jesus said, I must go through Samaria. There were other times that
-
men and went through Samaria before him, and the Bible said that when Jesus
-
arrived, they welcomed his appearing, and they were seeking for things that nobody
-
else could give them. You will remember the woman that said at the Well
-
of Samaria, that Samaritan woman will find that Jesus does not care one thing
-
about your skin color. He doesn't care one thing about your race. And
-
Heaven will be full of people of all fashionalities. Heaven will be full of
-
people of all manner of live, walks of life, social status. Businessmen
-
will be their paupers, poor men, rich men, kings will be there.
-
And so we find that Jesus went to Jerusalem, but he passed right
-
through the middle of Sumaria. Now he's looking for somebody. What he's going
-
through the middle of a place that he would typically avoid as a Jew.
-
He's on a certain or specific mission. And that's what I feel like I'm
-
doing tonight, despite being down in my back and my wife being very concerned
-
about me pushing the limits here to nothing. I'm trying to behave But I
-
want you to know that Jesus his own a mission for somebody in this field.
-
And has your soulder been made a hole? So as he walks through
-
the middle of Sumaria and gatherly, he enters into this certain village, and
-
the Bible said that these left wer spin met him there. Now, if
-
you hadn't read the narrative preacher, like you should, you would preach about
-
them being in the presidents of the Lord right there locally, that they were
-
within reaching this. That's what the Bible does not say that. The Bible
-
goes on to say that they stood afar off. So Jesus is in their
-
presence, if you will, But they're still doing what they've done always.
-
They're still out of reach and out of touch. Her sister wounding. It
-
doesn't matter how good the service goes or how ordered on the Lord, that
-
is at aberan presence of God is right there. That got scuff marks on
-
the back of the church along because they are uncomfortable because of their proceed or
-
because of sin. They feel like that they should not come up any closer.
-
So we see that these men are standing afar off. That's what condemnation
-
will do. I said, that's what condemnation would do. If you're the
-
disciples of Jesus and you've betrayed him, and you've done things you said you
-
would never do. That went pushed up to shove, or call it the
-
rubber cut the rod. You need exactly what Jesus said you would do.
-
You betrayed him, you told lies about yourself, you disappointed the Lord,
-
and you find yourself following Jesus afar off. You're at a guilty distance.
-
And so these men do find themselves because of their condition being afar off.
-
But brother Tyler, just because they could not stand among their peers or contemporaries
-
or bettered and say, look at me. I'm hold, look at me.
-
I'm sound in mind, I'm sound and spirit enough sounding body three thirds
-
of me. I'm hold, I'm about here in the presence of the Lord.
-
No, they say, I've got to stay up. But you know
-
what they did better. Just see the reason why they were healed. It
-
is because the Bible said they lifted up there for even though they were afar
-
off. And when they lifted up their voice, that got specific with their
-
requestion. And I'm telling you about every healing that is recorded in the Bible
-
has a petition with it. It's a petition for mercy. If you're blind
-
that can't see the scripture clearly, if you can't understand what sister would saying
-
that when she testifies, then you say, I just don't see it,
-
and come on down. Leprosy has that way about it. It will cause
-
you to lose vision, It will cause you so to Ma surely to lose
-
her hearing. Oh yes, but you've got to lift up that voice and
-
be specific and clean a petition the Lord and say God, I know what
-
I need. And let me begin with a plea for mercy. Notice it
-
was not a self persplean even in this condition that's treadful. It is a
-
unanimous call her. It's a clearing call to help us. Oh, yes,
-
you cannot be selfisher. You've got to be selfless and specific. You're
-
gonna have help. You need to realize that those in your community, in
-
those in your circle, they need you to get the help that you need.
-
They need you to do whatever it takes her to get the healing,
-
because we need to ring you on the other and we need to get you
-
in the center of God's wi. I said. We need to get you
-
after outs conching and after the perimeter, and we need to get you on
-
the prayer life that we need to get the unnoting head let in your hand.
-
We need to get your head clearer. They're praying the prayer path,
-
the prayer painting for somebody else. Amen. And the Bible said, and
-
when Jesus solve them, I don't know how far away they were from Jesus,
-
and I don't know that he can hear every word they were uttering with
-
his natural ear. He's one hundred percent God and one hundred percent man.
-
But that God man was watching him, watching them, and the Bible said,
-
and when he saw them, he hollered up to them and said,
-
hey, go show yoursels unto the priest. That it came to passer that
-
as they went they were cleaned. So and for all these modern preachers that
-
want to say we should throw the Old Testament away, that here is the
-
word of God personified who the Old Testament to him the news saying do what's
-
you know to do? Go show yourself to the priests. Come on now,
-
I don't feel like our hold in lifestyle. They hold and live it.
-
I say the pacasa we keep anybody from getting into the presence for God.
-
That's your observation that we'll keep you from getting in the presence for God.
-
You're being anti sensual and sold us and not spiritual with a content to
-
interdear? Where is the other two terms I know with or not all that
-
were on the two terms of eating the bensul that's not present? What's going
-
on in your soul? Are preaching the night has your soul being made hold?
-
It can't be made here if you're letting go show yourself unto the priest.
-
It needs to be a testimony to the world, the religious world,
-
those that have a form of godliness but are denying the power. Describe's fair
-
season, sad your seeds. They had judy is some down packed they could
-
on the lot of the Five Books of Moses, theatorious. They knew a
-
lot about ju Days, but they were overlooking Jesus and some of you.
-
You know a lot about the church. You know your pastor's middle name,
-
you know brother Jesse's middle name, but you don't really know a whole lot
-
about Jesus. I learned a long time ago when I finally got in his
-
presence, I learned a lot more about him than I ever would have thought
-
that I know about it. Oh yes, that's why charge the beloved God
-
as also as he could, because they place on you get somebody. The
-
more you know there, come on down. You don't have to back up
-
every time. The spirit of God means you can need care, you can
-
get in his presence. You could just bring good the two thirds of that
-
body, that spirit, soul and body. Has a soul been made whole?
-
You say I've been home emotionally, I'm gonna ask you again. Has
-
a soul being made hole? The soul of a person. Part of that
-
is their emotions. Finally, they used their emotions to get through to Jesus.
-
Finally they let their emotions enter their tone of voice. And I feel
-
like they were being emotional when they were saying, have mercy on us.
-
There's been some of us. We have been taught to be dignified. Do
-
you know where we learned that? By our forefathers who were reared in the
-
Baptists and the Methodist churches. But the Pentecostal people have always allowed the Lord
-
to use them emotionally. I am not saying I'm a proponent of emotional hyper
-
in the House of God, but I have found that anybody that ever got
-
something from God, they've got to purer their emotions into it. They've got
-
to push with the emotions. They've got to pula. You cannot sit there
-
dart on the inside and being a little bit alive on the outside. Oh
-
come on, I don't want to be a walking dead man. That's what
-
Jesus said about the parises, the walk washed separchers h inside their full of
-
it men's faults. That's what leprosy does, how it run gets to eat
-
somebody while they're alive. How can't you imagine, doctor, part of that
-
person is dead while they yet live. And that's what I feel like.
-
On hold the girls, it's asking you tonight, will you've been made hold
-
in your soul? Has your soul that made hold you look alive? That
-
part of you is dead? I said, you look alive, but part
-
They say that leprosy will eat away at you, slowly but surely. I
-
remember preaching on leprosy many many, many years ago, sister would while we
-
were churching it in a little community called Ortona. And in that study,
-
and this is why it pays to study brothers, because I pulled them from
-
it right now here. In that study, they said that leprosy well sometimes
-
calls white plaky skin. Sometimes neoplasms will appear, which are tumorous gross.
-
Sometimes, Brother Jesse, it can start out it's just maybe what appears to
-
be a skin tag or a moler, a tumor or growth against the surface,
-
and there's a nodul there. Hey, don't everybody go home look up
-
for leprosy to night on your body. You probably won't find a trace of
-
it if you look for it. But I'm talking about spiritual leprosy. Seeing
-
that is keeping you from get closer of God. And they said, slowly
-
but surely, if that leprosy appeared on the figure, you know, the
-
priest would immediately have to ostracize them and put them outside of the church.
-
And they were not permitted to have church with the people. They were not
-
permitted to participate his society. They had to become a colony. And the
-
leprosy people watched each other be alive but dead, slowly maturely dying. And
-
I remember Brother Jesse one particular, a research paper sent that a man went
-
to bed one night after having leprosy around his wrist, and then he woke
-
up the next morning and said, what is that lung on my cotta and
-
realized it was his very own hand. No, he had not bled a
-
whole lot, because over the period of time, slowly maturely, leprosy had
-
ate through the muscular skeletal system. It in vivured to tissue and devoured veins.
-
It didn't devoured to hen the skeleton and the joints. Brother Jesse,
-
he had to risk him and he woke up an hour he ain't got a
-
hand, uh, but you know he had had a hand to hold along
-
the kidneys were working, the lungs was working, the eyes were working,
-
the body was fuctionate, but the hand was dead. Oh come on,
-
now, I feel like a daughter's talking to somebody. There's sixteen the building,
-
but there's two work. Three good body is here, and we're not
-
all the same member of the body. But I don't want to look at
-
one that is dead in the midst of this limited church. I don't want
-
to look at a hand that's attached to a living body. I don't want
-
to look at one young man that's attached to a revival church. I don't
-
want to look up at one girl that this diet I tell her to alive
-
and blue with love in church. I'm trying to preach to you here.
-
Then, why are you dead? He got a lie? Well, I
-
said, why what are you dead? He got a lie that? Come
-
on? Now, Hey, that's my hand, that's my hand, that's
-
my body, that's my ear, that's my nose. I knew I was
-
gonna lose it, but I didn't think i'd lose it tonight. I knew
-
it was destined to happen. I feel the Holy gunson. I knew it
-
was about to happen. Because while Sister Whoop was shouting, and while Sister
-
hand I was on the back peep praying and cried, while Sister Walker's at
-
home listen and trying to recover her help, my brother Daddy Evers was holding
-
the back of the pew saying, a man preach it, pastor. I
-
could tell they just weren't alive. I don't know what killed you emotionally.
-
I don't know what killed you socially. I don't know why your spirit within
-
you it is dead. I don't know why your soulness where you have gone
-
most your new life. But you can't get past the point a long feeling.
-
You got to get past it. You can't seem to get past it,
-
but you've got to get past it. Now, that's what these men
-
know. Well, I got a voice. I'm gonna use it now.
-
I got Hey, I'm something I'm gonna use to say. Well, I
-
got afraid something. I'm gonna use it. You gotta use it. I
-
got to lose it time, I said, you betther use it. Time
-
lose it. Yes, I've gotta start tonight. I'm down in the night.
-
You're going to I think I'll lose it. Hey, I'm not I
-
lose it. Hey, I'll tell us somebody. You can come alive if
-
we walk to prais the Lord. I feel holy ghost. But the Bible
-
said when they were obedient, after they demonstrated their willingness to live, and
-
when they were beat it, they went showed themselves to the priests on their
-
way. As they went, God didn't make them go on in that dead
-
church. They were cleans before they got there. All the way as they
-
went, they were cleans. And one of them, when he saw that
-
he was healed, turned back and with a loud voice, glorified God.
-
He cried out with a loud voice with tim Now he's returned with one voice.
-
But the Bible said, he's crying out. It doesn't matter if we're
-
in a crowd or if we're alone. We ought to be worshiping the Lord
-
in the same manner, and come on, and sickness and her and health
-
for Richard, oh for four for better, out for worse. On a
-
rainy day or a sunshotted game, I will praise the Lord. If my
-
brother's gonna go women or not, I will praise the Lord. I'm not
-
worried about that, whether other or not, or I will praise the law
-
for yes, this one till praise the lawd I don't put tweet thoughts into
-
it. Tell me they may hold, I said, will my soul tree
-
may hold. I was fairly decent math. And there was something called an
-
integer, an integer whole number. A fraction is a whole number being divided
-
or busted apart or fractionized. But you know what, I don't have to
-
be fragmented tonight. I can be whole, whether my brothers or sisters or
-
whole or not. I can worship God, whether my brothers or sisters worship
-
God or not. And that's what he done. He glorified God. Oh,
-
yes, something he hadn't had a personal introduction with Jesus yet. Where
-
he glorified God. You've got to have an encounter, yes, but you're
-
gonna have to love by God first time. You've got to have an experience
-
with God. Yes, but you've got to be opedi at first. Then
-
the Bible said, now they recognize us. I'm clepsed, I'm cleaned.
-
My soul has been made whole. I will tell you something that today God
-
spoke to me concerning three individuals. They were saved, sanctified in Holy Ghost
-
Field. As far as I know, they had the manifestation of the spirit
-
working in their life. They had to free the spirit on their tree of
-
life, whether the thing or just seemed like God has just blessed the leaps
-
and bounds. But there was three people that God brought to my attention today,
-
and he said, since the preachers have been pushing and pulling and promoting
-
seeking me, he said, there are three people. Yes, there are
-
others that are not condemned because we can all say yes, we have been
-
prayed and seeking the Lord. But he named Hannah Howell or my daughter.
-
And I don't know what happened to her Sunday morning or Sunday night. It
-
might have been a Sunday night services helped Lord. But brother Jesse, I
-
got to thinking about what God said, and I have definitely seen a turning
-
point in the life of your sister Hannah. I'm telling you. He said,
-
this girl has been made whole. I didn't even think about this message
-
until we were singing in the choir, and then he said, sister Rachel's
-
she has been made whole. She's been just a wonderful person. No cancer,
-
no sin that I know of, spiritually speaking, no cancer, nothing
-
that I know of. But it seemed like brother Jesse that got on board.
-
I know you've been on board, Sister Wood, and I know there's
-
a host of you that have been on board. There's no needed to fitting
-
yourself at the church. And then there's one or more young men that God
-
has let me know. Now, I know that a bunch of you preacher
-
men that aren't brought with us, But I'm talking about people that God let
-
me know. They have understood what God is saying and they have got a
-
hold of it and they are helping push this thing alone and they are helping
-
fight on this battlefield and their soul has been made home. Listen, we
-
have all been offended, we have all been hurt. And if I was
-
to forgive your brother their trespassers, if you don't get them things fixed up
-
between your brother and sister God's they're gonna meet you in the altar. Oh
-
come on, now, I don't know why they sold us. I don't
-
know why you're not spiritual. I don't know why the cat's got your tongue.
-
But God can cleanse you and get you the place where we can glorify
-
God together. I'm not hurting one bit to about us being on a battle
-
field. I'm not caring that one bit because the adversary is just being the
-
devil. But I want to see you go because we got an intant here.
-
We've got a whole church trick. I know we got a wonderful churchill
-
I've only got a church on pier. I've don't got to listen saveing st
-
the prie and hold a guest steeling. But I'm looking for that venom and
-
night. Will you be made hold? I said, we all my soul
-
be made hold? We had Choy said, will you help us South?
-
Will have the top party? What the church? He fell down at Jesus's
-
speak and he gave him thanks. And then the Bible says because Luke asked
-
somebody about it, and they told him. Luke he was a Samaritan.
-
He was a back pew sitner, and I know if you are, I
-
must thrown down on the back few dwellers. He was the wall hugger.
-
We criticized the tree huggers, but as soon as the Holy Ghost gets the
-
movement, we hugged the wall. The church cleaners and sister how I know
-
what I'm talking about. Are y'all with Pastor Howell? Right now? Come
-
on? Now? He was unacceptable. He was what was considered to be
-
a person that didn't belong here. Wouldn't it be something to things or to
-
see somebody that we least expected to be helping you and I pray for the
-
sink. Wouldn't it be something to see somebody right here solder and shoulder on
-
power speaking in a heavenly language as the spirit gives the utterance And let me
-
correct something here. What charismatic preacher said recently, and he was preaching in
-
one of our holiness churches, he can turn the Holy Ghost own and turned
-
the Holy Ghost off like that one of them people that I know has hurt
-
somebody else say that recently. I don't know if that's a trend amongst us
-
or not. I doubt it to but I remember in the early night has
-
here a Church of God preachers that had compromised saying that when we were in
-
the Church of God England. And I know there's a lot of good Church
-
of God preachers that don't believe it that way. But you cannot turn the
-
hold. It goes all the and turn it on, but come on down
-
that it is subject to the prophets with the Bible said, and they spake
-
with tongues as the spirit gained the others in the spirit of God is not
-
confirming what because in the bestial that the spirit of God is not unsaying and
-
quicked it the person and the soul and the bestial that you better not speak
-
a syllable. Oh, come home down. They're letting it be something better.
-
The tangle to see somebody speaking in the heaven. They tell, as
-
the spirit kids the orderance said, I said, as the spirit that kids
-
the arderance, they call us up their souls may hold. I said that,
-
are you okay in your soul? Bring it me, may hold in
-
your soul. I appreciate because somebody any where they're not I clipsed, where
-
they're not sixty in service, where they're not sixty in service, where are
-
the fifty nine? You know, Jesus didn't go out to that one lost
-
lamb and left the ninety nine. But brother Jesse when he got back,
-
he wanted one hundred percent participation in heaven. They have one hundred percent participation
-
over one center that repents more than ninety nine, just persons that need not
-
repentance. Thank God in heaven. Up there, the Holy it goes,
-
Where are the nine tonight? Where are those that should praise the Lord?
-
Huh? There are not found that return to give glory to God. Save
-
this stranger, Save this stranger. The stranger is the Samaritan, The Samaritan,
-
the one brother Nathaniel at least expected. But Jesus said, I got
-
a surprise for the strength child. They that have been forgiven much will love
-
much. That woman, out of whom my cast seven devils, she will
-
praise me seven times, and I paraphrase, harder and stronger and more fervently
-
than anybody else would call. She will love the greater than anybody else.
-
And so we can't say that our cancer spiritually speaking, o our leprosy spiritually
-
speaking, as any excuse at all. I feel the Holy Ghost in this
-
place. I want you to know how I'm not gonna be pleased if one
-
service we look over there, we've lost an ear, and we've lost the
-
nose or and I that we didn't have to lose. I feel like the
-
Holy Ghost needs to breathe a breath of resuscitation into each and every person in
-
this building. How I feel like this a rise and exceeding great army or
-
one hundred participate percent participation of people that could say I haven't made whole.
-
I'm not gonna tell you the name of that young man that God spoke to
-
me, but I believe that God has begun something in that young man's life.
-
And I said, I believe God has got something in that young man's
-
life. And when God does something in a young man or a young woman's
-
life, it does not matter if the thing is fractionalized or not, or
-
fragmented or not. It doesn't matter what the nine tenths are doing. The
-
other nine ten I'm gonna do what I need to do. It might be
-
just ten percent. It might be just ten percent that would preach down in
-
their back. It might be just ten percent that would take a chance to
-
pull it even further or not. If I take ten percent of it's just
-
to have a move of God. But I'm gonna be one of that ten
-
percent, one out of ten that will get in. And how church?
-
Come on, How'm not gonna ever go a church? But Jesus is asking
-
as we walk out in the New world, but where where the other worst
-
of person? Did they not all get saved in my all time? Did
-
I not divide the intervening for them? Did I'm not he over babies when
-
they asked me to? Did I'm not read? But they're asking the food?
-
But I not tell her to be not hour. I'm telling you you
-
can be made home, and that soul, will you be made home?
-
And Jesus said it to him. As we're standing arise. This man's on
-
his face on the ground praise of the Lord humility in practice, the spirit
-
of humility personified, and Jesus has lifted him up the same way angels said,
-
Jesus lifted up any great man that humbled himself when they sold his presence.
-
When they really got in his presence, there was no spirit of pride,
-
no hiddiness, no egotistical mindsets, no prideful people. And Jesus spoke
-
to him to SI, get up, arise. And that's what I'm telling
-
somebody here tonight. You can say you've had spiritual leprosy and that you've been
-
losing things that you shouldn't be losing. You're losing your joy, you're losing
-
wisdom. You have to clea, you'll go to take off. You're losing
-
peace. Slowly but surely, you're losing your prayer life while others are picking
-
theirs up. Slowly but surely, you're losing your desire to read the Bible.
-
Slowly but surely you're having poor judgment. Slowly but surely you're being inclined
-
to do things you thought you would have never done. Now I'm talking to
-
us, I'm about in this building. Slowly but surely you're losing your reason.
-
You're thinking about quittin church. You're thinking about quitting God. That's nothing
-
but leprosy, spiritual leprosy. The devil is the master deceive her, and
-
he can cause you to start dying on the inside. Hold by God in
-
heaven. I feel the Holy Ghost in this place, Brother Samuel. I
-
ain't got a note one, but the Holy Ghost is speaking into my soul,
-
Brother Jesse. We can see it when they lose their desire for revival
-
service. We can see when they come running in at the last minute.
-
They've lost their passion, they've lost their joy. They're alive, but something
-
in them is dead. I said, I cannot stress that enough. They're
-
alive, but something in them is dead. But Jesus said, go thy
-
way, thy faith hath made the hole. Hey, preacher, I've been
-
made hold in my soul. My soul has been made home. I look
-
at Brother Jesse. When did you get the Holy Ghost, Brother Jesse?
-
February of this year, you can say, Brother Jesse has been made home.
-
I just thought of something, Brother Jesse. I was talking this past
-
Sunday night about people being numb. Y'all know cancer. I'll do that,
-
y'all know leprosy will do that. It'll eat away to nerve end him,
-
to eat him away. Brother Jesse said, Dad, I'm ashamed to a
-
minute. He said. I loved the Lord. I loved playing a pin
-
in the church. I loved good ultra services. I love love love,
-
Preacher, he said, I loved it. I loved to go to church.
-
I never thought about quit church, never thought about quit God. He
-
said. But I just numb, even though I hated it, I was
-
non Brother Gabriel, you said something similar to that. You knew to do.
-
Right, But concerning this movement of the Holy Ghost, just numb.
-
I need it? But how do I get it? And Brother Jesse said,
-
But when I got the Holy Ghost? I'm no longer numb, and
-
I put a lot of emphasis this past Sunday night when I preached that sermon,
-
help Lord of the wicked people of this generation being likened unto the people
-
of knowing latched, sinful generation, as well as Jeremi's generation and Brother Thomas
-
Starrett. They have calloused their hearts, and Brother Starrett talked to an atheist
-
recently, also some Southern Baptist preachers, and the Holy Ghost is what made
-
the difference in that situation. Brother Staret said, when the Holy Ghost activated,
-
they were pretty much speechless. I feel so good in my soul.
-
And for those that doubt and been concerned about me, you've missed out on
-
a wonderful blessing because I have no pain. As of about fifteen minutes ago,
-
I couldn't even take baby steps. It took me twenty five minutes to
-
step away from the pool pit. I may be hurting tonight all night own,
-
but Brother Rick Jacob to feel this anointing has been viewed for. But
-
Brother Jesi said, I'm no longer numb. Brother Jesi said, I'm no
-
longer no. Will you be made whole? And that's soul. I'm telling
-
you if you're getting the altar right now, God help you. Maybe this
-
is why the devil fought me the way he did today and my body.
-
Would you turn it on church? Just the praise and the prayer. You
-
got to whore, you got to Baha. Let Janius speak to you tonight.
-
Arise, go thy way, thy faith hath made thee whole hold,
-
Preacher, I don't want to get numb. I don't want to be past
-
few that. I don't want to put off for tomorrow things that I can
-
do today. I don't want to forsake this s any other selves together.
-
I don't want to miss church. I don't want to miss an opportunity to
-
pray for my brother. I don't want to do things I would have done
-
just last month, last year. People you used to what fellowship or associate
-
with on the job, Now you're going to lunch with them. Reason and
-
judgment. Don't lose your good wisdom. Don't lose your good reason, and
-
don't lose your good understanding. You have to core. You have the want
-
to come to be healed in your soul, Be healed in your soul,
-
be healed in the spirit. You here by that now bring your soul to
-
church. Bring your spirit to church. Be soulful, be spiritual. You're
-
here physically. Bring your soul to Jesus. Bring the other two thirds to
-
Jesus. You made don't tal my face by face by faith? Will do
-
he made horse? Do you want to do love? Will you try made
-
