The unfrozen chosen - Bro Jeremy Howell 11-29-2023

Of Acts. May I direct your attention to the ninth chapter. In the

fifteenth verse, I want to say, it is truly wonderful to have Sister

Donna home with us, home where she belongs. There is no doubt she

belonged visiting with her grandchildren and her children. But it's so good to see

her smiling face in the House of the Lord here at the Bethel ho in

his church where she belongs. How many of you all feel like you belong

somewhere? I hope it's here. Do you feel like you belong here?

Well, if you don't feel like you belong here, there's the door.

And I'm not saying that meanly. I'm just saying you can always find somewhere

where you belong. But I'm glad you feel like you belong here. One

hundred percent of us are saying I feel like I belong I do. I

belong to the Family of God, and that's a membership that I will gladly

display before this world. It's nothing to be ashamed about, ashamed of the

Lord. I'm not ashamed of his gospel. I'm not ashamed of his word.

I'm glad to be your family member, your brother in Christ, Brother

Nathaniel, will you turn to Saint Matthew's Gospel chapter number twenty two and verse

number fourteen, Brother Jesse, John Mark's Gospel chapter number three and verse number

thirteen. Again, Brother Nathaniel, Matthew chapter number twenty two and verse number

fourteen, and Brother Jesse Mark chapter number three and verse number thirteen. Brother

Nathaniel, would you stand and read that to this people, for many are

called, but few are chosen. How many of you have heard the clarion

call of salvation and accepted it? How many of you all have heard the

clarion call of the Spirit of God summoning us to revival. Can anybody else

admit that the God of Heaven and Earth is calling us into higher places?

I want to be one of those that are chosen. Brother Jesse. Read

Saint Mark's Gospel chapter number three and verse number thirteen. And he goeth up

into a mountain and calleth unto him whom he would, and they came unto

him. So he called those disciples unto himself, and they came. Hey,

if God calls you, who will benefits you to come? Right?

If Bama calls you to dinner, did you come pretty? Quickly right,

some of you guys probably did. But when Dad stepped on the threshold of

the front door and hollered and said, dinner is ready, I guarantee you

you came when Dad called. And I can hear the Blessed Savior calling us

unto revival. May we stand and read our Golden Text Acts chapter number nine

and verse number fifteen. The Bible said, But the Lord said, unto

him, go thy way, for he is a chosen vessel. Unto me

to bear my name before the gents and kings and the children of Israel.

For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.

Let's pray, Heavenly Father, we love and we praise you. We

thank you for the opportunity to be in your house. I thank you for

these precious people. I thank you for what they represent. I thank you

for these ambassadors of the gospel of your kingdom and of your son Jesus.

I pray that you would adorant this thy servants, set of gud and my

mouth, and help me to say the things that you would happy to say,

nothing more or less. Anoint the ears of this thy people, that

they might hear what the spirits say unto the church. I pray, let

these sayings go below the shoulders, Let them get into their hearts and their

minds and their soul the spirit I prayed God that they would not be hearers

only, but doers. Let them not deceive their self. And may the

saints of God depart this place joyfully and not sorrowfully, in Jesus' name.

And the church said, Amen, as you're being seated, look at your

neighbor and say, hey, neighbor, are you one of the unfrozen Chosen.

I want to preach to you a sermon, a message that the Holy

Ghost titled the Unfrozen Chosen. I remember reading a meme sometime back, and

as I read that meme, it said the Church of the Frozen Chosen,

and it was a term or an expression referring to those people who are more

reserved in their religious life and worship. How many of you have ever sat

next to somebody that seemed to be a member of the Church of the Frozen

Chosen. But I'm glad to know that I'm part of the Bethel Holiness Church,

where the people of God are on fire. Let's lay a foundation for

our listeners in India and other places that are unfamiliar with this sacred writing we

call the Holy Our text is found in a New Testament book of the Holy

Bible, the Book of Acts. The Holy Ghost has given us a few

golden texts taken from out of this Book of Action throughout this year of twenty

twenty three. I call this particular book of the Bible the Book of Action.

It is named the Book of Acts because of the nature of this sacred

writing. The author is Loot the beloved position. A beloved physician is someone

that is most appreciated by the general public. In fact, he is somebody

that has summoned in the times and the moments of crisis. So we have

confidence in the author of this writing. He personally was not and our witness

to the man or the ministry of Jesus Christ. But he interviewed many people

that were men that have been chosen specifically to evangelize the world and to spread

the good news of Jesus Christ coming to die in their place as a substitutionary

sacrifice atoning for the sin of mankind both past, present and future. Jesus

chose some people. I'm glad tonight that I can say I am not one

that is part of the crowd of a multitude or many. But I'm glad

to be able to say that I am one of the chosen few. It's

good to be able to say that we are not one that finds ourselves on

that broadway, that highway that's spiraling downward and leading souls to a devil's hell.

I'm glad to say tonight that we can say we are part of the

family of God, the numbered, among the chosen few that are on that

highway of holding us loop. The Beloved Physician was fascinated with these people that

had been chosen to evangelize the known world of that time, and truly they

were people that I would have liked to rupt shoulders with as well. It

is no surprise to me at all that the Beloved Physition would abandon such a

prosperous practice as he did in order to follow the apostle Paul, and to

tether himself or attach himself to the ministry of such a man and the other

apostles, naming it Peter, James, and John. We find that the

men that wrote these blessed books of the Bible were men that had been chosen

for times and purposes specifically assigned to them by God. This past Sunday night,

I preached a message titled My Miracle. The number one character of that

sermon was miserable Matthew and secondary we've talked about the blind people that needed a

miracle. Specifically, two blind men needed a miracle. You will notice that

a bridge was burned in Matthew's life. After that, Jesus summonsed him or

called him from his misery unto his ministry. On one side of the bridge

that had been burned, Matthew had formerly been known as a tax collector.

But later on on the other side of the bridge, he can look back

upon his past and say that is in the sea of God's forgetfulness. It's

good enough for me. My sins are gone, and now I am the

author or the penmen of Saint Matthew's gospel. These men were all men of

action. They would not sit in a service and not do something. They

were very active. In fact, that inactivity of many a people in the

modern church would sorely disappoint these men if they were able to receive what is

going on during this worship of this generation, during the evangelism outreaches of this

generation. These men would be terribly disappointed. In fact, if they could

view from their dead corpses the situation at hand concerning the modern church, these

men would roll over in their grave in shame and discuss concerning the way people

handle church and the things of God nonchalantly. I feel like here tonight that

is our duty and our responsibility to accept the necessity of servitude in serving our

community and serving mankind, and tried our best to get the message of Jesus

Christ out to a loss and died world. These people have been chosen people,

especially the apostle Paul, which is one of the more prominent men that

you read about in these narratives inside of this sacred writing, the Book of

Acts. Also, the number one character in the Book of Acts is the

Holy Ghost. How many of you know that he is the third part of

that trying Godhead. He's always been active. He's always been highly active in

the life of every believer, somebody that is truly a worshiper of the Lord.

He has also been active in every church that has totally sold out,

consecrated and committed to God. We find as we're reading the various and their

narratives contained in this sacred writing. The Holy Ghost had been busy building the

church that Jesus promised to leave behind. How many of you feel tonight like

God is building a church right here in Fabel, Florida. The good news

is we're not alone. Worldwide, the Holy Ghost is still active. He

has not sought out retirement. Although it's been over two thousand years since he

began to build the church that Jesus promised to leave behind. He is still

building that bride for our Savior, and I'm glad to be part of that.

How many of you consents the call to revival? How many of you

consents the working of the Holy Ghost and the activity of the Spirit of God

in our services. If you could feel that drawing unto God, you are

a blessed person. Because there's a lot of people living in this year twenty

twenty three that is almost over that can say. I have not yet felt

the slightest inclination to draw nigh unto God, even though the my will promise

that if I betraw die to God, he would draw die unto me.

So thank God for the ministry and the workings of the Holy Ghost that I'm

so glad that the Holy Ghost chooses men to dwell in, and that the

Holy Ghost com minister through us and make our preaching effective. Because the message

must go out. I said, the message must go out, and if

it's going to go out, it needs to go out effectively. We need

the word of God not to return unto him fulloyd. We need it to

prosper. And I believe that the Holy Ghost is involved in any man's ministry

or any say of God's life or testimony. You will see that it is

a fruitful testimony, or a fruitful message, or a fruit for life.

If you study the New Testament, you will see that God was busy choosing

people. In fact, the New Testament is full of characters, and it

is comprised of people that were chosen by God for specific to these responsibilities and

task. One of them is the primary character of our message tonight. The

apostle Paul, if you will read untext again, the Bible said in answer

chapter number nine and verse number fifteen. But the Lord said, unto him,

go thy way, for he is a chosen vessel unto me to bear

my name before the gentiles and kings and the children of Israel. In the

sixth chapter of Saint Luke's Gospel, we five the record of our Lord Jesus

calling unto himself disciples, people that he wanted to walk shoulder to shoulder with

him, People that he wanted to be eyewitnesses of his wife. People that

he wanted to look upon her his ministry, and to learn his ways,

and to become more like him. We call this discipleship. These men would

perfectly imitate Christ. Eventually be law became when ever came about with a calling.

As you read all down, you'll find that there were twelve that were

chosen by him. Many were called, but on the twelve worth chosen.

These twelve disciples that were made apostles by the alert Jesus himself. These men

weren't Daddy called or Mala center, that were not members of the twelve frozen

chosen Church or the dozen frozen chosen nerve. These were men that were unfrozen.

These men were attached or tethered two a Holy Gus fireplencer. If you

they were crowd in the highways and in the headless, in the powers

that they were preaching, and they were compelling the loss to come in and

fact, immediately after this calling and being chosen as they were, we found

that these men begin to reshape their errant to the glory of God. Name

a spirit, you know, the one that betrayed him talking about Jesus.

You're not gonna be that guy, are you. You're not gonna be that

one that wants her out of the sival and stands in the shade or in

the shadow of the church and say, I just don't see it that I

should be part of that crowd. I don't see it that I should be

one not gonna from that group. You're not that God, are you?

I know that's a different sermon for another time. But when I read these

gospels, I see where some of these being had already been following Jesus.

We thank of Peter and his brother Andrew, and James and his brother John.

You'll find that these men had already been called. Now Jesus fallowed.

They were in their ships and working for themselves and their fathers. They weren't

busy, yes, say they were active. Yes, say they weren't bending

their next Yes, sir, planning to go fishing her the next day that

Jesus came and he called them. At this time, they're among the crowd

that has been called, and they have been called already. That there comes

a time when Jesus he comes out of the mountain and he notices a multitude

had followed him. How many have followed him to night? How many people

have walked him to revive? We're ownly to walk out a year later?

How many people have heard the poice of God? A color gets to the

their choices. Oh, yes, we make some bad choices, but cannot

some bad choices. There's been some preachers that have made some bad choices.

There's been some articles that have made some bad choices that are rutched. And

know God made some good choices when he made the choices of these twelve men

that he would call her apostles. Say, Matthew, put it to its

cust for your finding. In the twenty second chapter and the fourteenth versa,

he wrote, for many are called, but few are chosen. Many are

called, but few are chosen. Can you say that you are one of

a chosen few? If you can say that he who ought to thank God?

I said, you want to praise him. Your man at the choer

comes back her. Let you get chosen. I'm sure there were many followers

of Jesus Christ. The Gospel writers tell us that multitudes of people had followed

him at times. In fact, multitudes owned him. They tried to touch

the tangible Christ, God incarnate God right there in flesh, God present,

the omniscient, the oh knowing God, the omnipresent God was present to meet

needs. He was present to minister the Fella Nathaniel. Only a few received

the healings they needed because her, or the motives for why they followed the

call. There was something that simply followed him because her he saw the good

breakfast, or he saw a good mousa, or he said a good suppler.

God knows him your motives, I said. God knows the thoughts are

and the gents or your heart. God knows God you are gathered together in

of these people as they gossiped, as they slambered, as they slammered,

as they slumbered, as they slept, as they did anything but pay attention

to what the teacher of teachers was saying. The Lord knows the hearts of

people. God knows who, already hearing this message, is thinking about work

tomorrow. God knows already who has been prepared for revival. God knows already

who is ready for something to take place in their life that has never happened

before. God knows what's inside of man. He remembers our frame that we

are dust. He knows the thoughts and the intentions of every person in this

beauting. There is something special and different about these twelve tones in men?

Wasn't that Oldmost all of them, with the exception of Tunis, It was

all of them were willing to serve the Lord, no matter what took place

in time. Sometime down the road, even Judas was okay with Jesus's plan

if he was willing to overthrow her the Roman government and serve as kingdom of

kingsa and lord of lords at that time. The truth is one hundred percent

of the men wanted to follow God, or one hundred percent of those men

we're willing to die for him. Jesus wanted to do it. Then Judas

wanted to be the treasurer of Christ earthly kingdom. No, what about you?

Are you ready for danger to go your way? Are you ready for

your plan? Give become God's plan? Her? Well, I will tell

you, Jesus, you pay it, You'll d be God's fail I fall

well. I thought I'll get it over here. I thought I'll get it

in church. Brother Carter Baucap, you got your holy ghost experience it in

dwelling beside a hotel room. Then brother say, now you got your life

change besides your living room couch. If I understood you correctly. In Saint

Marge Gospel, in the third chapter and the thirteenth verse, we find that

John Mark wrote that the Lord called unto him who he would, and they

came unto him. Then he ordained them the twelve to be with him,

and he sent them forth to minister. Did you get that the reason why

God wants to do something for you is so that you can effectively be something

for somebody else. He will save those that He's called so that they can

help her save her to somebody else. He sent there forth to Minister.

The Holy guess was given that they might be witnesses or martyrs for this message,

that they would stand for in the face of their adversary's opposition and the

devil. No matter the outcome, these men have answered the call visit.

That's simple. Yes, it's very simple. For the early Barty used to

sing the song and the lyrics would go like this, why don't you just

do what the Lord told you to do? You see, when these people

were called, they answered every person in this fielding knows how to answer a

phone call. With the exception of the children under the age of three,

I would say even my two year old granddaughter Natalie would know how to answer

her daddy's phone call. She seems pretty intelligent, and she seems pretty sharp.

These men were called upon and they answered. They didn't just answer the

call. They stepped up for service. It was do or die for them.

I say, with God calls Eva, it is answer, do they

die. That's the spirit that is hindering revival in America. As people realize

that God is going to require something of them and they answer the claric call

of salvation, sanctification, and Holy Gooes baptism. They cannot be selfish.

They're gonna have to be selfless. They cannot be covetous, they cannot be

envious, they cannot be jealous, they cannot have hatred in their heart any

longer. They've got to reach for those that hate them. They gotta love

their persecutor. They gotta love everybody unconditionally, and they gotta love their spouses.

As Jesus left the church. Not everybody wants to love your world like

Christ does. But it seems like everybody wants their love the spirit of the

world the way the public knows. Do you love the spirit of Christ or

the spirit on the world. You were seen that these men love Jesus more

than they loved they'll work life. They love Jesus more than they loved their

whole life. They love Jesus more than they loved their very own life.

The problem is today, and the love of self is s prevalent. The

love of pleasure is so prominent. The Bible said that men would love pleasure

more than they love God so much for fishing on the sea of Galilee and

told it all not and being ready for service. The next morning, when

Zebede asked us, did we mend the nets? We said yes, Oh,

come on, John, did you catch anything last night? No,

it's because your hold God, Your nets got a hold, and it go

mend the net, go fishing again. They were always active, they were

always working. They were never inactive or you gonna getting miss her. They

were self motivators. They had a self driven wheel to do something. And

God calls these men to do something. I believe God is calling people at

the bead of holding his church and in his time to do or die.

He getting nature. I said, if you're gonna either do what God taught

you to do or you're gonna fall off the trip, you're gonna die.

Spiritual, you know what's gonna happen in those four fishing me in there not

to or left their fishing boats, their fathers, their families and their nursing

and done what God told to do. Their probably would have been a change

These men never just sat by idle. How can we sit by island and

not do anything while the revival fire is setting our church on fire? How

can we do anything but run? How can we do anything but seek?

The Bible said, if you don't fear that man that can destroy that

body, what you do fear that man that can destroy my body and soul?

In Hell? I'm telling you this so pediaself. It's a horrible thing

you've heard of those foolish young men not choosing to do like I've done and

other young men have done. Just go out there with you and the candidate

by yourself before God and the stars. Hey, I mean, rejection is

not an easy thing with some of these men, Brother h. Nathaniel.

They have proposed in front of celebrities. They've interrupted concerts. Some of them

have proposed proposals that cost them five million dollars I mean and landish winnings.

Maybe not that much, but they spent a lot of money. I've heard

about it. Some of them are spent five thousand dollars on it. Proposal

opportunities are your women? You know? They put them women in a bad

situation and they dropped the knee, thinking, because there's so many onlookers,

that this woman will serving to answer the call and that she'll say yes because

she's in the middle of an NBA game, says the Mavericks or a Miami

heat. I don't keep up with that stuff anymore. I hope they're still

a team named that they rather than they handle hearing halftime, they tip the

right people. And they tracked her out there in the midcarta and they hit

the knee, and that girl slaps them and says no, because she knows

her why they proposed her te they heard right there are young women are out

here. She's more than bid that they would pressure her in such a manner,

because no doubt she knows she's already been telling him I'm not ready.

I don't want to hear the call. Oh come on now, I'm telling

and you left God standing there because you are not ready for the call.

I'm gonna hit to my knees with God, and I'm gonna look God in

her eyes and say, I am a ready. I said, I have

man, there's not coming my way. I am ready. So even

the mean spirited, arrogant egotistically I minded so that would later become the apostle

Paul willing to hit his face when he got smacked down. He got a

verbal smack in the face. Now I know you all worship to praise Lord

for a while. The night before I got to the preacher, and I

appreciate you backing me, but I want to preach just a little while longer,

if you'll bear with me. You see, Peter at one point had

been asked by the Lord, will you depart? Also? You will remember

the Lord asked Peter this because others had walked away. John chapter number six

and worse number sixty eight had said, then Simon. Peter answered him and

said, Lord, to whom shall we go? Thou hast the words of

eternal life. Peter was saying, where else could I go? You have

called me, you have chosen me. Peter had not forgot her that calling.

And the primary character of our tux Tony is Paul, and he does

like this and speaks one tim He said, I was obedient to the heaven,

recalling I can't understand why anybody would be disobedient to the spirit of God,

saying now it's the call of the miracle. Now it's the time for

repinted God. How many of the multitude and followed him all it's well chosen.

How many present in this building tonight are children? How many in this

building used to be children when you were little? Did you ever contemplate running

away? Huh? Did anybody? Not? Really? Most are saying my

know who I'm talking about, But I too was inspired by Huncleberry Finn one

time to sit out on the Alipi or my little homemade manufacturing raft, and

to see how far I would go. I remember Brother Nathaniel and better Philip

being the adventurous type of setting out. But you know what, hain't Brother

the Thing or you and Brother Philip or not for lone this song that considered

running away from home. I see that y'all didn't get too far from home.

I see you here tonight. I've heard you talk about your parents and

your family. Why not, you know, Michael, some of y'all did

Whosoever call for the name of the Lord, How can you not say

the name Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. Oh I will took her brother to

the bakery. Where in the world where are they going? Where are you

going? Where are you going? In your mind? Why are you not

going up the Coosta? Why are you not going in the bble, Why

are you not going to the all? Why are you not going through the
