Brother Nathaniel. The Book of Neobiah, chapter number four, Versus number fifteen
-
through eighteen. Who else has the microphone? Brother Caleb? Ephesians, chapter
-
number six and verse number eleven. Ephesians, Chapter number six and verse number
-
eleven, Brother Nathaniel, Would you breathe that? Neobiah, chapter number four,
-
Verses fifteen through eighteen. And it came to pass when our enemies heard
-
it, it was known unto us, and God had brought their counsel to
-
naught. They will that we returned all of us to the wall, everyone
-
to his work. And it came to pass from that time forth that the
-
half of my servants wrought in the work, and the other half of them
-
held both the spear and the shield, and the bows, and the harbingers,
-
and the rulers were behind all the House of Judah, they which build
-
it on the wall, and they that bare burdens, whose those laid in.
-
Everyone with his own and wrought in the work, and with the other
-
hand held a weapon. For the builders. Every one had a sword girded
-
by his side, and so built it. And he that sounded the trumpet
-
was by me. Praise the Lord. How many of you are willing to
-
have a shovel in one hand and a sword in the other, if it
-
comes to that. I am not saying that is what brother Nathaniel just read
-
to us specifically. I'm just paraphrasing, you're willing to work for God while
-
you stand for God, or you're willing to stand for God while you work
-
for God, Brother Caleb, Ephesians chapter number six and verse number eleven,
-
the full Owner of God, that you may be able to stand against the
-
walls of the devil. Amen, let's stand for the reading of our golden
-
text Dilations, chapter number six, verse number nine. And let us not
-
be weary in well doing, for in due season we shall. I don't
-
read if we faint not, just to him, and that word of faint
-
was what stood out to me early today. If we faint not. She
-
came in here tonight testifying along the lines of do not faint, praise the
-
Lord. Let's pray, Heavenly Father. We love it, we praise you.
-
We thank you for the opportunity to be in the house of the Lord.
-
I praise you for these wonderful servants of God that have gathered. I
-
thank you so much, and I praise you God, for your people,
-
people of like precious faith, gathering together people of the book, the Holy
-
Book, people that love you, Gord. I praise you for them.
-
I thank you Lord for sending them our way. We pray that you would
-
bless those that are unable to be here tonight and do to work and other
-
circumstances annoying this Thy servants of God, at my mouth, and help me
-
to say the things that you would have me to say, some more or
-
less than a nought the years of this nine people, that they might hear
-
what it is the Spirit of God saith under this church through this preach word,
-
and may these sayings go below the shoulders. I pray God, that
-
of satireate, permeate the soul. We give you the praise and the honor
-
and the glory, and maybe to part this place joyfully and not sorrowfully.
-
In Jesus' name in the church says Amen. As you're being seated, look
-
at your neighbor and say, hey, neighbor, it's a ministry, not
-
a mistake. So I want to preach a sermon the Holy Ghost titled It's
-
a ministry not a mistake. Our text is found in a New Testament Book
-
of the Holy Bible. The Book of Galatians is one of the Apostle Paul's
-
shorter epistles. Even though the Apostle Paul, one who spent all night teaching
-
and preaching to a drowsy follower named Eudicus, cut this specific writing very short,
-
it is very powerful. Again, this writing is very brief. In
-
fact, the brevity of this writing from such a man as the Apostle Paul
-
bewilders me. The fact that it is so potent and powerful but yet so
-
brief amazes me. And I will say again, this is one of my
-
favorite Pauline epistles. This Pauline epistle is one that made it clear to the
-
believers people of life precious face, specifically bathes in Christ. It made it
-
very clear to them that salvation is through faith in Christ alone. The Apostle
-
Paul taught that no one can earn a salvation. It is true that we
-
must work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. And it remains true
-
that after somebody has experienced a true conversion, they have true they've been sorrowful
-
regarding their sins, and they have turned away from their wickedness and unrighteousness,
-
and have been born again. After plunging in the ruby red blood of Jesus
-
Christ. They surface as new creatures. Old things have passed away. Behold,
-
all things have become new. Things that they once hated they now love.
-
They're fascinated with things that they used to despise, things that used to
-
be forbidden to them. Because of the condemnation of their sin. The devil
-
would not allow them to embrace some things such as salvation, sanctification, and
-
receiving the holy ghosts. They are no longer forbidden. They are candidates to
-
receive such wonderful things as that. But even though we do have to put
-
forth an effort to continue in the spirit and by washing ourselves through the water
-
word, there is nothing at all whatsoever concerning our works that would cause us
-
to earn our salvation. The very purpose of this sacred writer was to inform
-
new believers babes in Christ within the early Church that had been founded by the
-
apostle Paul. Was for these believers to know there is no spiritual life whatsoever
-
outside of Jesus Christ. And I believe there are some people in this building
-
this morning or tonight rather that wholeheartedly concur with that statement that outside of Jesus
-
Christ, there is absolutely no spiritual life, but all Jesus came to give
-
us abundant life, and I'm thankful tonight for that abundant life that we have
-
through Jesus Christ. You will find that after the appall Us So Paul had
-
established this church in Galatia, that there were people that were Jews that came
-
in. And these were not just ordinary Jews. These were people that were
-
profound in their speaking. They were learned, they were scholars. They were
-
religious leaders known as of Judaizers. If you were to call the commonw a
-
Judaizer, you may in fact be speaking incorrectly. But if you were to
-
speak concerning the religious leadership within a Judaism, you could speak of a Judaizer
-
or somebody that was adhering to the teaching of the Laws of Moses. That
-
would be a Judaizer. And there were some people that were Jews that were
-
not God fearing people, they were not Judaizers. And so these Judaizars had
-
come into this Christian church, this Messianic church, that had received Jesus Christ
-
as their personal Lord and savior. They embraced the possibility that Jesus Christ was
-
in fact the substitutionary sacrifice that stood in their stead, and that he brought
-
forth their salvation, and they no longer felt it needful for them to participate
-
in certain ceremonial laws. There was also gentile people predominantly, this congregation would
-
have been full of gentile believers. And so these Judaizers again that are religious
-
Jewish people, they'd come into the congregation and they take their seat, and
-
at some point they began to promote what the Apostle Paul considered to be a
-
false or a perverted doctrine. They began to infiltrate this group of people.
-
They deliberately attempted to impregnate this young church with false doctor. But it was
-
started by none other than the great God fearing man, the Apostle Paul.
-
As we were get started in preaching tonight, I said, how many of
-
you are willing to have a shovel in one hand and a sword in the
-
other hand. There's no doubt that it was very discouraging to the Apostle Paul
-
to have perceived a word that these false teachers had appeared within this congregation and
-
was whispering in the ears of these parishioners. These false teachers were religious.
-
Most people would have said, the ju day isars are here tonight. These
-
false teachers had come to relations and saw out the little ones of the faith,
-
the babes in Christ, and they were stressing the importance of keeping the
-
workings of the Law of Moses. They seemed to be on having all of
-
the males within that congregation circumcised in order to honor the covenant that Abraham had
-
received from the Lord Jehovah. I'm sure that this had to be disheartening and
-
discouraging for the apostle Paul to have to deal with this while he's trying to
-
be obedient to the Lord and God's commandment and to fulfill the Great Commission,
-
and to plant as many churches as he can in that part of the country
-
before he takes his last breath. May I point out firstly that he is
-
trying to receive converts into the Christian faith, and while he's receiving converts,
-
he finds himself having to convince other people who should have been convinced already,
-
people that call themselves converts. He's having to convince them that these people that
-
have come in from the outside, the judai Asers, religious Jewish people.
-
He's having to convince these new converts that these judai Azers are teaching and promoting
-
a perverted gospel. And those are some of the very words chosen to be
-
written down by the great Apostle Paul in this Pauline epistle. He called it
-
an accursed gospel. He called it a perverted gospel. These people came in
-
and appeared to be religious. So the Bible students and readers present tonight will
-
remember the Old Testament Bible character Neel Mayah and the leaders of Israel, and
-
how they had to do this very thing that the Apostle Paul did while they're
-
beauty. They had defied, while the Apostle Paul was building up that church
-
had been Majordan testified tonight about the one that Jesus said, while pointing to
-
himself and speaking of Peter. He spoke of himself as being the rocket,
-
that the church would be built upon her, and that the gates of Hell
-
would not be able to prevail against it. What Jesus was saying is this.
-
He was saying, after I leave you guys through the power of the
-
Holy Gust will begin to establish my bride. The church will be conformed,
-
it will develop and begin to mature. But the gates of Hell will be
-
open, and the demons of Hell will enter into the souls and of human
-
beings. That we'll do everything they can apostalize another. You remember the Bible
-
said this and that they would compass the land be seen in order to prosaloge,
-
in other words, to bring somebody from one relief system like unto another.
-
And that's what we find here. These Jewish people are traveled in the
-
Glacia with one purpose in mind. There as bad as the Wantness people,
-
and they try to infurturate her the Trinity churches. They come on, knowing
-
missing her to the Personaliza to Trinity. Terrior hands her and try to get
-
them to commutum unto Wantness to the custom. Who is he that is heresy?
-
Listen a costal Costal, I said, preferning doctrine. I'm know right
-
now I'm losing some leaders on the Ontness to the Custom movement. As you
-
listen to me as something who in the state of losing her has been listening
-
to us for several years. I want you to know. You've got to
-
come up and out have fos doctor who want to be convinced under truth of
-
the doctrine of the triood Godhead. I want you to know it will not
-
be the first time that somebody had been warned and told you better be careful
-
who listening and themni and preachers, and you better be careful who listening to
-
their false teachers. And I'm talking to somebody and I just when we talked
-
to him, we received the pressings, Oh God, just when we talk
-
to her, we're being a stabber something. Then the enemy comes here,
-
I said, they're the enemy comes here. Amen. Amen. So we
-
find this biblical character Lehemiah and the leaders of Israel. They had to do
-
this very thing right in the middle of a major project. A real pastor
-
sometimes we'll find himself for having to run off the roof. No, he's
-
busy, mystery to the sheep. I know it had to be discouraging and
-
disappointing or apostle Paul to receive news from the believer, also from the Holy
-
ghost, the grievous usser. They're coming in. I'm telling you, not
-
a holiness church there will come ady when there's not a ton of stering.
-
There will come aday when there's not a Justin roy Taper. They are come
-
of kinder when there's not a Jeremy Howard. You better not be so busy
-
working on the building. The mystery. The sheep that to forget her about
-
the rotter, I said her, that's a ministry that's not on the stake.
-
We have done what we done, deliver. They had no purpose,
-
these people with the Amayah, right in the middle of a major construction project.
-
The only thing I don't like about being off for a week or two,
-
Brother road Cap, is loosening the condition of my voice. I'm going
-
to try to recondition it here tonight. The spirit is willing, but the
-
flesh is which erase. Your hands have praised the Lord. We find right
-
in the middle of a major project. They had to hold a hammer in
-
the one hand and a sword in the other. And to cut this a
-
little short, I will not read all of our cotext that was found in
-
the fourth chapter of the Book of Nehemiah, but we will read eat that
-
seventeenth and eighteenth verson the Bible said they which building on the wall, and
-
they that bear burdens with those it laden everyone. With one of his hands
-
rota in the worker, and with the other hand he held her on weapon.
-
Sister Herven was not only on target tonight when she used the word of
-
fat, she was also on target which she used the word of weapon.
-
Not everybody in this building who lost Pastor Howe will probably not everybody in this
-
building appreciates the preaching or the testimonies that have happened to night. That is
-
undeniable that God has spoken to somebody in this building. We cannot just click
-
because he did disturbs her. A little man, we turn, not just
-
clip because of clearness, A little there where is your weapon? For the
-
weapons of our warfare are not colonel, but body through God. To the
-
pulling down of strongholds. There's some imaginations that need to be cash down tonight
-
for every person, preacher, teacher, and pastor out there tonight. Let
-
me say this, in one hand there should be a shovel, and in
-
the other hand there should be a sword. I've seen plenty of pastors of
-
parents, preachers and teachers that we're willing to get to the shovel that I
-
preached about her. A couple of weeks ago. Somebody don't get a shovel
-
was the title of that message. I see they're wearing the build I see
-
they're wearing the dead. Not to marry somebody. You know something beautiful.
-
They're all excited about constructing a church. They're all excited about pioneering the work.
-
They're all excited about becoming a ministry or having a ministry and becoming a
-
minister. But they forget. You must take for a reaping. You must
-
have the sword of the spirit, and you've got to use it when you
-
need to. I'm telling somebody in this building there, if you don't have
-
a shovel and a sword, your ministry won't be a failure. Well,
-
I don't want to hurt any about his feelings. What about gods? You
-
don't want to hurt his either? While you dodge hurting other people's feelings,
-
do you, Every person in this building should have a shovel in one hand
-
and a sword. I'm sure everyone who is familiar with the story of Nehemiah
-
and his mission remembers and understands that their enemies were against him and his people.
-
We wrestled not against flesh and blood. When Sister how and I were
-
first summons by the Holy Ghost and the Lord to come down here and to
-
participate in the pioneering and the planting of this work in South Florida. We
-
were very excited and would definitely grab our spiritual shovels and we begin to labor
-
concerning the spiritual building. But it wasn't very long after being here that we
-
realized we had to have a sword too. This will not continue to be
-
over some of the people in this building's head very much longer. You will
-
get a hold of what I'm reaching here voluntarily. You see the apostle Paul
-
him to hundreds of years and centuries later, after he had heard about to
-
store him Nehemiah, he found himself too coming agist an enemy that was trying
-
to lay waste everything that he was doing. Can I tell you that the
-
rancher understands that he must encompass or circle his property boundary daily, and that
-
pastor that is unwilling to repeace a certain perimeters and certain boundaries, including ancient
-
their mancel and to put in there is that water the soul in his body.
-
Yes, you can get inside of her for a shovel in your hand,
-
but you not agree on your soul. They even one time he found
-
out what the liver it is when we tied for me something with doctor.
-
So come on, now, we're better be able to fight off the horns
-
and the hands of hell. And you need a weapon it to do it.
-
I've seen them, sister, and they were. Mama called and Daddy
-
said, Sister Howard. We've seen them travel in the fireplaces in the distant
-
lands. I'm gonna do this, and I'm gonna do that for God.
-
They've had people speak in some sort of tongue and it sounded no different than
-
this. Follow a lah ala la la. And they've had prophetic words spoken
-
over them, and it was either of God or it wasn't. Because I
-
have seen that either they were obedient or they were disobedient. I've seen it
-
go both ways. I've seen those that have headed home. I had to
-
know when they were sent to do something, after knowing they were commission and
-
they just simply said, I can't do it any longer. It wasn't that
-
they didn't enjoy the construction project. It was or that they didn't enjoy building
-
upon the rock of the foundation Jesus. It's not that they didn't enjoy having
-
Easter service and Christmas service and dedicating babies. What it was, they did
-
not enjoy the spiritual warfare. They did not enjoy. They themself and their
-
family said he had targeted not the devil. I don't know they heard from
-
God or not. I don't know why they chose to come home either they
-
had not been sent either that disobeyed cont either they simply did not persevere,
-
and they were not paying for her to do what contact I told him to
-
do. Had a shovel in what hand, what a sound in the other.
-
It's a ministry. It is not a mistake. Maybe the man missed
-
it, but God he never Missas God sent us down here, and as
-
we labored in the vart field, if you would, we had questions,
-
and just when we thought we had all of our questions answered, there would
-
come a list of more questions. There were never any murmurings or complaints,
-
because we've simply would not allow that. But the apostle Paul, he had
-
to be so disappointed when he found himself having a write letter foot pin the
-
parchment and say, dear little ones, Thaves and Christ, my children of
-
the faith, I love you so much. Who hath bewitched. You work
-
for its Guatians who's coming here and told these men that are Jews or these
-
men that are gentiles that they must be circumcised. You're getting carried away with
-
this lead delism. You're getting carried away with this fanaticism. And don't misunderstand
-
me. I believe every person that is genuinely been born again, somebody has
-
had a true blue experience with the Lord. They are living holdin us.
-
They are righteous on the inside and the outside. And I believe what is
-
good for one is good for all. I believe that these standards that we
-
have did not come to us individually. They are not personal standards. They
-
are coming to church bodily as in the pride of Christ or must team.
-
There is no division, there is no skills. I said, there's no
-
depasion. Everybody leans at the same everybody is having a spiritual exercise and they're
-
working out their own salvatient whipper. They're trembling. They're not personal convictions.
-
They are corporate convintions. The bride and herself holds these convictions. Not everybody's
-
gonna preach this, Not everybody's gonna teach this. Some we're gonna come in
-
and say, hey, we have been enlightened. Our fullest minds had been
-
darkened. Thus we had been alienated from freedom. And although they have yet
-
been entangled again with a young bondage, they declare themselves to be free.
-
And as they declare freedom to belong to them, they are no longer laid
-
aside every weight and the sin that so easily beset in that. We find
-
them building things that they wants destroyed. We find them adorning things on their
-
temple that we thought he would be found only her own her, the pagan
-
temple. That temple is supposed to be her, a body that belongs to
-
the bride of Christ. That is a temple for the residency of the Holy
-
Coastal. We found the decorating that he has car it got a pagan tribe.
-
I wants you to know her. You sim personify her holding us in
-
the hand hour live. But they're coming in, and Apostle Paul said,
-
in this short epistle, he said, who hath bewitched you? In another
-
place? He said, you did run? Well, who did hinder you?
-
What false teacher? Confuse you? What park gets you start reading?
-
That confused you? That church did you start visiting that confused you. That
-
preacher that clothes himself as an angel of life came in there and and filtrated
-
that church will begin to the impregnationel mind with false doctrine. You should consider
-
that person and a cursed person. You should consider that doctrine and a cursed
-
doctrine. In fact, the apostle Paul said, when I'm not here,
-
if a preacher or if an angel seemingly from heaven comes in that preaches something
-
that's rejected, and throw out. You know what so many people are doing.
-
They're neglecting to put on the whole armor of God. I wish I
-
had more of a voice than not to preach this. They need to put
-
on the whole armor of God. One of the Pauline epistles, the Epistle
-
to the Ephesian Church, in the sixth chapter, eleventh verse, Apostle paulse,
-
have put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able
-
to stand against the wiles of the death. For the entire time I was
-
out of town, I had the word against on my heart. That is
-
a word that a lot of people find repulsive when they hear it. They
-
don't want to be against anything they're willing to have to shuffle and be out
-
for us having children's church, for us having a Sunday school program, for
-
us having a youth choir, a booster man had an adult choir, for
-
us building another church of our for us having a bust ministry. But when
-
it comes to standing against the walls of the pathol, it should not be
-
that the apostle Paul has to put pin to a parchment and tell somebody to
-
have a problem with it, or come on not do I know it's true
-
in this holiness student that I'm fault. I'm not against the movement. I'm
-
fault, but we know it's true. The recent trend is nobody preacher against
-
the anti just hold your shovel, don't be fat something. But nobody bring
-
out the sword and bringing that's something. This is a ministry. It is
-
not a mistake, No Apostle Paul. It was not a mistake you planning
-
that church there. Even though the devil has come in and try to discourage
-
and disappoint the saints and dissolve what you have done. No Apostle Paul,
-
it is not something to be discouraged to mat It is to turn that pin
-
into a sword and an epistle that will are of their beings in Christ with
-
the knowledge that they need to know that they do not have to be physically
-
circumcised guys, that they need to be spiritually circumcised, or come on in
-
so, how many people in this building have learned that every Christian will have
-
to take a stand eventually at some point. I didn't just say the pastor
-
or the preachers or the teachers. Every Christian throughout the world will have to
-
take a stand eventually, at some point in their lives. They will have
-
to take a battle stand. They will have to postep her and stand perceupted.
-
I'm not telling you to get laft side of heck and throw the shovel
-
down. I'm not telling you to get laft side of her and hold the
-
sore and her holy that I am saying for we loved good, discerned the
-
preacher, your better preacher, that message, and God told you there's nothing.
-
It just Spot's doctrin, It just their crest, and it just person.
-
That's why we're losing our young people. I'm not against our movement.
-
I'm allowed to speak by behind our passed her a church of seventy people.
-
Yes, I'm mad concerned that everybody has to run around with a shovel and
-
leave the swords in their closets. Stand against the wives and the devil.
-
What's not the devil being wiley? Will Eve begin to woo the congregation When
-
they opened the door and they welcomed them, that they call brother and sister.
-
And as soon as they heard something that sounded a little bit off,
-
they should have marked them. That's what the Bible said, marked them.
-
He also said, know them that labor among you and this generation. They
-
would never have even let the Apostle Paul know that they were dealing with issues
-
like this. But if you're a student of a Pauline epistles as I have
-
been, you will see the by mission and taratune. The Apostle Paul said,
-
I am pitting these words on parchment paper because somebody brought word to me
-
and told me what's going on. And he sent Tobacco with a letter and
-
set danger in order. It shouldn't be that another pastor's preaching a little podcaster
-
and lighting your church out. It shouldn't be that another pastor for a five
-
states away is reprimanding her your people that are being disobedient and preaching her her
-
pretestination is a doctor and preaching her or what's senta, what's in consent?
-
Always in once he told us a turney doctor creature, you doctor ditta the
-
souor in your head, and you're not the whole target. Just just couldn't
-
help. That's you holding it up. So that's in the other hand.
-
No, I'm not advocating hurting anybody. No, I'm saying we must be
-
careful how we wield the sword. We must wield it and use it skillfully
-
and wisely. Notice that the apostle Paul said to this church, he said
-
that you may be able to stand against In Paul and Neomy's cases, they
-
had to use the shovel and the sword simultaneously. I doubt that all these
-
people were amberdettris, but I know that the Holy ghosts. I know that
-
the Holy Ghost can use the left side as good as he uses the right
-
side. I don't believe that a church should be lopsided. I believe the
-
left side of the church should be just as strong as the right side of
-
the church. And it may be that we've got some that's a little bit
-
stronger in the sword side of things. But I want to encourage you guys
-
not to forget the hold his shovel too. And it may be in a
-
congregation of seventy we've got some that mean a little more to the shovel,
-
and they seem to be able to be able to feel better than others,
-
and they seem to let the sword drag in the sand. But I'm telling
-
everybody at the bath the hold in this church. This should never be a
-
time, spiritually speaking, that any part of this church, any person of
-
this church, comes into this building without a shovel in one hand and a
-
sword in the other. I did not come here tonight to sit on the
-
few and to absorb air condition. I did not come in here to night
-
to look her and see who's got a new wardrobe. Whom Uncle Sam was
-
good too. He gotta be a tax reputed or return. I have not
-
come in here to night to look upon any of that. I come in
-
here tonight to help her my brothers and sisters be on it. I come
-
in here tonight to help my father's and sisters fight the Good Father. Pleatha
-
yah. Holding on to any ton of life you got to use that sword
-
and shovel simultaneously, the enemy of the Devil had plotted the downfall of Neomy's
-
wall. Again, the enemy of the devil had plotted the downfall of the
-
MIA's wall. The false teachers of Apostle Paul's day, empowered by the devil,
-
had attempted to destroy the labors of the great Apostle Paul, Peter and
-
many other men. Now, don't you think that at the devil or the
-
enemy of those men tried to destroy the work that they were doing for God?
-
And that day, don't you think that they're going to try to destroy
-
the work that every preacher or a minister or people was trying to do for
-
God. I remember my uncle used to say often while we were in those
-
production meetings with mostly executive managers and middle level managers and also shocked forming he
-
said, if it was easy, our wives and chill and would be doing
-
it. As soon as he'd say that, the atmosphere would change and everybody
-
knew it's just time to pull yourself up by your bootstraps, dust off your
-
knees of elbows, and just do whatever it was you had to do.
-
Now, I feel like there are ministries that are being adversely effective through the
-
spirit of disappointment and discouragement. And I also believe there are saints of God.
-
Hopefully not any in this building tonight, although I do feel like there's
-
one or two people that if you don't stop playing with a deaf or,
-
you're gonna find yourself being weary and seemingly what is well doing? And you're
-
gonna find yourself fainting. Now I know the Apostle Paul had to be discouraged.
-
Say what disappointed? Say what you mean? Act that they've been saved,
-
sanctified and holy ghost, feel they've been bewitched. Say what you mean?
-
I've got to take time out of my busy schedule to toil with this
-
person, to preach to them once again, to try to coach him once
-
again, to mentor them once again, to try to push them once again.
-
You mean, yeah, it's grief, but it's powerful yet discerned.
-
And I might not be as low as some of the older ones when I
-
had my voice, but it should be pathless for somebody. We cannot just
-
give up and clear it's a ministry. It's not a mistake. God knew
-
what he was doing when he's saying to God knew what he was doing when
-
he called you into the ministry. He considered you to be faithful who felt
-
like you would persevere. He don't disappoint God to right make disappoint you.
-
Family may disappoint you, Coworkers may disappoint you. The devil may cause her
-
the stars that in your life. But you should never just go ahead her
-
and disappoint God. Hell, Lord turns family. What about disappointing God?
-
Well, I thought I could do this. I guess it was a mistake.
-
No, every child of God has a ministry. Every person has been
-
commissioned if they are a child of God. Every person has been commissioned to
-
do something for God. But when we see them giving up, they say,
-
well, my mistake, my bad. It must not have been God.
-
Or maybe it was. But in some cases, in the case of
-
Nehemiah, in the Apostle Paul, there was still spiritual and natural walls that
-
needed to be built and guarded. There were spiritual and natural walls that needed
-
to be built and guarded. There's some doctrine that needs to be defended.
-
And we need some preachers to stop being discouraged and disappointed. And we need
-
them to be strong. The Bibles of Quincy like men be strong, and
-
we need somebody that quit being lopsided and that shovels got so heavy in that
-
run hand. And that's all you're thinking about is I want to build this,
-
and I want to build that. I'm gonna pioneer this. I'm gonna
-
pioneer that. You might move a piece of crowd a little bit, but
-
you won't run off ten thousand devils unless you learn how to use the word
-
of color, the soul and the spirit them and pull out the soor on
-
it and prowd off them devil. It's a ministry, not a mistake.
-
Men like Paul and me and my possessed perseverance parents in this building that I
-
possess perseverance, Sister Howell, Sister who others possess perseverance. Perseverance means being
-
persistent despite the difficulties on the delays that we face. Perseverance is the call
-
to faithfulness. Niam I believe that induce season, he would see that wall
-
built. Paul believed that this young congregation would be well established, rooted and
-
grounded in their faith and Pitchley if we continued to run off of the false
-
teachers. And if we continued to run off these dreavous water, we will
-
have a church pastor, preacher, teacher, give me a favor if you
-
ever get offsided her, and the only thing you can think about her is
-
what we are for. Please, soldier, dismiss yourself and let somebody have
-
her. Let's shovel and let them bring her the sword and walk the town
-
truck the way her that hat to be held in the coward. This is
-
wanting to get out of the service of the Lord. The one that's wanting
-
to backside and fall by the wayside coward in the service, he shall find
-
no place. And if I'm not mistaken tonight, brother Caleb Rocat led that
-
song page number two twelve in the Red Back him north, keep on the
-
firing line. What Brother Caleb was saying to this church is he to let
-
that song was perseverance and faithfulness of most importance. Nam I believe that in
-
due season we're gonna reap if we just keep on building wrong at all.
-
We used to sing the song when we first come out of the Church of
-
God into the holiness. If you would movement and sister, how will we
-
sing it. Everybody's sing it. Ever it can't meet, and it was
-
the theme song for a while. I'm building up this wall and I won't
-
come down. I'm telling you them people had a shovel or a hammer in
-
one hand and a sword in the other. Our golden text said, and
-
let us not be weary and well doing, for in due season we shall
-
reap if we faint. Not now I'm talking about neami at the wall right
-
now. How many workers decided to come down from their work, turn in
-
their resignation and give up because of the persecution, that was verbal persecution of
-
saying with at Tobias and the others. I'm sure there were some people that
-
simply shirked rather than work. I'm sure there's some people that said, you
-
know, what he's saying has causing me to be discouraged. That's what that
-
man had been hired to do. Go over there and speak to the workers
-
and discourage them in their work. This is no time for anybody to come
-
into the House of God discourage or disappointed. We're supposed to enter those gates
-
with thanksgiving. We're supposed to enter his courts with cration. The evangelist debicionaries
-
the pastors and the teachers and the parents. They ought to persevere unto faithfulness.
-
They ought to be faithful to that heavenly calling to teach them, mantain,
-
you've got to fight until you take her your last death. I see
-
her people come in Bethel, her holiness church, and I've seen her them
-
go out. Other preachers have told me their congregations have just recreated her themself,
-
and it's been like a revolving door her experience, and like congregation for
-
two years, and another congregation and another two years her and another congregation in
-
another two years. He tell to tell you of this, Sir, is
-
indicative of people that grew weary. This is indiguative of a people and God
-
think her. It's true. If you're gonna be a child of cover and
-
not enough in the belly of hell, it's gonna be a fighter. Every
-
step the light ye or the highway her of holing us up. It's gonna
-
be a classing her a soul. It hampress so her knowmage of every day.
-
That's why IMPOSSL. Paul said, I have taken a can yes,
-
and can take you. I'll say, fall, what are you fighting for?
-
Said? Are you fighting for I feel the knowing of God in his
-
house, So don't be weary in well doing. It's a good thing to
-
build a church. It's a good thing to set out to be a preacher.
-
In fact, that the Bible said concerned in one particular office of ministry.
-
It's a good work. He's desired a good work. It's a good
-
thing to say, I'm going to relocate a wife and six children, obey
-
God and get down there and help some precious people and do something for the
-
Lord. It's a good thing for brother e. J. Wallace and Brother
-
Aaron Wood and other men. Brother stare at Brother Jacob, say I'm gonna
-
uproot, go down there and help that brother. I'm gonna plant my family
-
down there, because I'll believe in what they stand for. I'll say,
-
out leaving what they stand against. I believe we're standing for some things that
-
I stand for, and I believe they are fighting against some things that I've
-
been fighting against. And there's no need in us fighting fore and against things
-
alone. Even David had men that began to attach themself to him because those
-
men were like minded and they wanted to help David. I'm telling you it's
-
a good thing to come to the church and see our babies pray around the
-
altar. It is a good thing to see the church growing the way it's
-
growing. It's a good thing for the apostle Paul to take one missionary journey,
-
and take another, and then take a third and say, look at
-
all these churches that have been planted. And Brother Jeremiah, there was something
-
though that fell away, and he would never say it was a mistake.
-
It was a ministry. And I'm telling you there has been times since the
-
Howell that ten thousand devils have said to me and Syster Howell, and she
-
knows this to be true, you made a mistake. Every person that has
-
ever attempted to do anything for God, the devil has said it was a
-
mistake. That I'm telling you. The further I get down the road,
-
and the more I look back, from time to time, I see mountains
-
of victory. I may see valleys of trial and tribulation and temptation, but
-
also I see some mighty high subjects and mountains of victory. And I want
-
you to know the only reason why we can stand on that final summit of
-
glory Land and look over our shoulder and see all the monuments of victory.
-
It's because of perseverance and faithfulness. That was one of the reasons why after
-
six years of driving back and forth two hours one way to church, two
-
hours hold for six years whom we had revival one time, seven weeks long,
-
we did that two hours here, two hours back. The reason why
-
I did that, I could tell that even though there was only a handful
-
of people here, then we had people that would persevere, and we had
-
people that were faithful. I want you to know two or three that are
-
faithful. If one of them men's name is Michael Joseph Laruth, that one
-
of their name was Robert Hammond, and one of their names is Johnny Platt.
-
One of their names is Jeep Wooden. If you'll persevere and be faithful,
-
we don't remember our golden taste, for in due season we shall reap.
-
If we faint. Not right, there were plenty of opportunities to faint.
-
There were plenty of opportunities just to flop on the wayside, then flounder
-
in failure. But I refuse to flounder in failure, just the Hallie refused
-
the flounder and flop and failure. What about you, young man? Yes,
-
it's a fight. Are you willing to fight? Are you willing to
-
pray your way through this? Are you willing to pray your way through the
-
victory? Are you willing to fight the good fight? Are you really going
-
to play through? There's twenty twenty four gonna your year. Harless times upon
-
us, another great with Bibles, upon us, another spiritual awaken. It
-
is upon us to those who persevere, for those who have been found faithful.
-
I want you to know God spoke to me this morning. We're gonna
-
read. I cried and I wept when my wife looking around, when I
-
heard the words spoken to my soul. Jeremy, you're going to weep them
-
to the one who's been doing wrong, and the one that's been unfaithful,
-
and the one that's been shirking instead of working. That is blood children.
-
That's a frightening statement to hear. But the one who knows the the innocency
-
of their heart and their spirit, they've thrown everything into it. Like Apostle
-
Paul said, I have been spent, I have been wore out, and
-
I have invested blood, sweat and tears into this sister Wood and that was
-
the reward that I needed, was Jeremy, you're going to reap. Now.
-
I'm telling you the critics and the skeptics are listening right now. I
-
am not in a spirit of pride. I'm in a spirit of meekness and
-
ubility. I'm unworthy of it. I even said. I wept in our
-
cried and I said, God, I'm not worthy to reap. God,
-
some soul, some plan, some waters, you give the increase, you
-
reaping all to your glory. But he said, you're gonna reap. And
-
what he said is hope in the reward. A lot of people quit because
-
they lose hope in the reward. They say, what's the use? In
-
due season, we shall reap. That's the promise we shall reap. I'm
-
feeling good of my soul. While some of you apparently had the spirit of
-
Unicus of Parliament. That's through the Unicus is rock. So to sleep after
-
a week and a half or pastor being gold. There will be a reward
-
for the laborers for their labor. There will be a reward for the workers.
-
We believe in the so and in the reefer principle. Here, don't
-
we We also believe that he is a just God, and that there will
-
be a pay day someday. I've heard a lot of preachers preached us out
-
of context. It doesn't be well. They spoke concerning the people that have
-
rested with to the portals of glory. They spoke concerning the after life that
-
I have not seen nor ear heard, neither hasn't ended to the heart of
-
man. The things that God has prepared for them that love him, there
-
is somewhat out of context. In context, it is in this life.
-
God's got some things prepared for you that are beyond you are a lot of
-
dreams that image. They said, So will you continue in person for your
-
exel food, painfulness? Will you clicking you up? You come hold walk
-
back to her heartness. I'm telling somebody you got to get rock down to
-
the walker hour. We've got to fight your way through it and a through
-
wava. You will read it. You have to fake not if you faint
-
not, there will be her reward in this life and the afterlife. Psalm
-
chapter number one, twenty six and verse number six. It goes like this,
-
He that goeth forth and weepeth bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again
-
with rejoicing, bringing his shees with him. Notice hardly nothing is said about
-
the process. I've read no commentaries today. I've got some notes the Holy
-
Ghost gave me. I'm preaching what God gave me. I've looked at now,
-
I think, but what I got to looking for because of the way
-
my mind works. Where's the process? Here? We see the seed and
-
then we see the sheafs, But what about in between? That's what I'm
-
talking about. Some ministry is not a mistake. Huh. What about the
-
process? Hoe in the garden getting a debris out after the storm comes,
-
by standing up to stalk his corn. One time, I had grew a
-
lot of corner sweet corn, and it had done really well, and it
-
got really tall, and I had two or three ears on the stalk.
-
Witnesses the how I loved garden, and I got that from my part.
-
But I have a green tongue. That's what she told my aunt yesterday.
-
He's got Papa's green toe. I looked at it, said it ain't green
-
unless I got a corn. I've been doing something. I shot some of
-
you get that one night rightfully fall asleep, okay, But Papa was at
-
his house a storm had come through our area. I knew he was home.
-
I knude answer the phone and I called him. I said, Papa,
-
all my sweet corns laid over and just this calm, cool and collected.
-
They said, it ain't no big deal, so I thought it was.
-
I knew the process. I knew what I had went through every day
-
to go out there and turn that soul over and turn it to the roots.
-
Because corn grows on us the bove the ground. The roots are just
-
barely floating on top of it. You don't know it. You can actually
-
see the little tiny roots they just barely grab. And that stalks designed by
-
the Lord. It's the aerodynamic. But if you get a high wind and
-
lay it down, Papa said, it ain't no big no big deal,
-
son, Just go out there and stand them up, one stalk at a
-
time. And I said, okay, I tried to. He said,
-
just pack a little dirt around it. It'll lean over just a little bit.
-
And I'm telling you it looked like dogs and crooked tails. As if
-
I know, ride my best to stand it up as tall, because y'all
-
know what I did for a living, what I do for a living,
-
as tall and as strength as I try to be as a holiness preacher,
-
right. And the lean over you have the boys probably remember, I said,
-
and lean over awful tower looked level of the world, and it was
-
glare and all that prepared to my stalks of corn. I called him back
-
and I said, Papa, I got it up. And he said,
-
I said, but it's leaning. They said, ain't a big thing.
-
Get a big fine. He said, you packed that dirt around, and
-
I said I did. I pulled every dirt I could. I after agians
-
diameter, followed the dirt that stood about six inches high round each one just
-
looked like a little antred around each face of the stalk. He said them
-
roots are gonna grab hold, and he said, and then it's gonna reach
-
for the sky. That was his words. He says's gonna straight for the
-
sun, and then roots are gonna take hold. And brothers and sisters,
-
after about three days, I went up to every stalker coin was just as
-
there, standing straight up in roots and ground the hole. And there's been
-
a lot of time, sister, you know, concerning the Bethel hole in
-
his church. The devil has come by with a mighty Russia wind, and
-
he's blue on his congregation, and there's been an opportunity after opportunity for me
-
to say, just bring in the spiritual bulldowser God and just plower it over.
-
I'm gonna resign. All these other timers are gonna scatter, We're gonna
-
just leave it be. Somebody else have the wild come break up the paloground
-
and start over. But no, it's called perseverance and faithfulness. We'd say,
-
this young man, do hear his name, Tyler Wood? Why are
-
you spending so much time with him? Because I believe in him? Now
-
I feel if the Holy Ghost as great as I ever have as our preacher.
-
And I've slowed down a little bit because I believe in And when he's
-
not standing quite as straight and as tall as I want him to, God
-
said, that's all right. Just fertilize it a little bit, pack that
-
root system and let him get a root or too grounded and rooted, and
-
let him become faithful himself. And you won't ever have to say what wints
-
you up for to see and read shaken in the wind. Now people look
-
at the Bethel ho in his church, and I speak as a fool.
-
I'm not a brother anybody that really knows me knows I'm gonna I speak as
-
a fool. I speak as somebody whose can hands are very much so spiritually
-
callous of having to redo the same thing over and over and over again.
-
I know I have a learning on me right now, and parents, preachers,
-
ministers and teachers. There will come a time when you say, I
-
ain't seen the results of my ministry about getting the results I thought i'd get
-
this nursing home ministry. Where's the results of this, the street ministry,
-
where's the results of this, this gail ministry? What are the results of
-
this? In due season? You shall reap if you faint not. I've
-
been waiting, not for some of you to get ahead of God of manipulating
-
the plan of God. But I've been waiting on a genuine visitation by a
-
prodigal son or daughter this year, not where you've planned the scene, not
-
where you told him. I think, if you'll go to church, God
-
will have something for you. I've told about God on Friday, allowing us
-
to read. I love what I feel in my soul. There were times
-
system well like Sarah of old would ask Abraham. She would ask me,
-
She's never murmured, she's never complained that there would be times the church would
-
fill up. And because we stood for truth and righteousness and reviews to allow
-
charismatic spirit to take over, you know, we re views to allow worldiness
-
on the platform. We'd lose a lot of people, not being hateful,
-
not being mean. Most of them people still calling pastors, still love me
-
and still seek out prayer when they're in serious need, that they want to
-
play church instead of have church. That there would be times when we'd go
-
from I'm talking early days from twenty five back before or five, because we'd
-
had to stand on issues that mattered. And Sister, how'd say you sure,
-
Jem, And I say, well, out of doubt, I'm sure,
-
And I keep that old diesel pedal to the medal. And we'd go
-
on two hours back to the house and get home at one o'clock in the
-
morning, put six kids in bed, which is a children, six of
-
them worse leap. There's two or three trips for those of you who think
-
you get your hands full right now, and some of them has wet brenches
-
because they fell asleep at one o'clock in the morning. You want to go
-
in there and just crash. By the time you get that many kids in
-
bed attack at two o'clock in the morning, and by the time you read
-
pray Yeah, Charity, I'm sure there would be no further question. She
-
trust me, and we did that for six years now. Everybody all they've
-
always been any way, it's called perseverance. To the parents and the ministers
-
out there, let me say you are making daily sacrifices to serve Jesus,
-
your ministry, your family, that you should expect it. The process will
-
never smoothy saving They will never be a smoothy process. No, don't expect
-
it, don't anticipate it, no matter who prophesize it, and matter who
-
speaks in terms of give an interpretation. Remember this, it's ministry. And
-
when you feel like you flunked and failed, it was no mistake. I
-
have no regrets. It was never a mistake. If you will sell on
-
despite the tumultus waves, you will develop patience and endurance and you will build
-
character. But whatever you do, don't faint. Sister Haymond didn't know what
-
I was gonna preach all the night, but I'm telling you, y'ad an't
-
mighty speaking of somebody tonight, You're gonna need to hold onto this message in
-
the day's head, because it's gonna be easy for you to speak foolishly as
-
Joke's wife did and say, why am I bothering with this ministry? Why
-
am I bothered with this individual? Why am I putting up for this?
-
It's a ministry not of mistake. In the same book of the Bible,
-
the Book of Glatians, Paul said, be not deceived. God is not
-
bobbed for whatsoever it meant. So with that yell, he also reap.
-
We tell our young people that if they go out into the world, we
-
assure them they're gonna reap what they sow. Well, let's look at the
-
flip side of that. If they don't go out into the world, and
-
they do marry right, and they do stay faithful to God, whether pastor
-
does preach the truth and the church does stand against foolishness and unrighteousness and wickedness,
-
we're gonna reap. Be not deceived. God is not mooped. The
-
devil's not gonna win whatsoever we sow. We're gonna reap the so and isn't
-
in vain, the tolling isn't in vain. The laboring is not in vain,
-
the praying isn't in vain. The devil has convinced somebody in this building
-
tonight that they will not read in this life. What's the use? There
-
will be no reward in what I'm doing. But I want to tell you
-
there's going to be a reward in this life, Brother Jeremiah. After six
-
years, we could have folded up and went home, and you know what
-
my testimony would have been. There was a mistake. But now tonight,
-
because of perseverance and faithfulness, I can say, make no mistake about it.
-
It was a minished Let's stand tonight, Brother Caleb. Would you come
-
to the piano? Has in every person in this building had more than their
-
share of disappointments. As we make an altar call, how many, by
-
the showing of the hand, has had their share of disappointments. No matter
-
how hard you try to do it right, no matter how it's hard you
-
labor to see to it that is constructed right, you found it faring apart.
-
We put forth doing something to make an endeavor of it. On purpose,
-
we try to make it successful. But somehow, for some reason,
-
things just don't go away. We plan them to go. I had no
-
idea my child would go into a world of sin. I had no idea
-
that my child would end up being Nashville Star. I had no idea that
-
my child would end up becoming the person to build reputation. I had no
-
idea that my child would runt that far. But did not the Bible say
-
train up the child and the way they should go when they grow old,
-
they will not depart from it. You know what the devil wants to do.
-
He wants to get you disappointed and discourage to the place that you want
-
to pray and persevere. What's the use I'll never see the results of it.
-
They'd be like Pastor Howell saying, well, I want to be like
-
David. I want to build a new church for God, but God's not
-
let me. So what's the use of fasting the one that I have?
-
Now? That'd be like you young people that have a goal of buying a
-
bigger house when they're buying a piece of land having children in the yard playing
-
and said, well, I don't see that ever happen, and so what's
-
the use might as well as letting the house fall apart? What is your
-
purpose? We've all seen those building projects come to a screeching halt. In
-
fifty forty five Old Briton Road. This doesn't mean something to most people,
-
but it means something to my wife and I. At fifty forty five All
-
Briton Road, there is a pad for twenty six hundred square foot house,
-
two story house, seven and a half acres with a tributary running through it.
-
Live oaks, bickory trees, bick kickory nuts on the ground. I
-
cleared it my own hands, with the help of my little children. Every
-
year I scraped the surface of that ground, got the plans drafted up,
-
and was just getting ready to build our dream home. Now you have to
-
hide through the woods. I done it, not too long ago. I
-
did it. You have to go through grass and brush and shrub everything.
-
You get out there this one little air the where is this luscious green grass?
-
It is and the sky is clear because of all the trees. I'm
-
booted out of the way and there's a path for a house, not a
-
concrete slab, but a nice area where there was to be a house.
-
A building project comes to us creeching halt. Parents, you search through your
-
children's lives and you can't seem to find the fruit. Where's the fruit?
-
Why do I take them to church? All the years? I thought they
-
were getting help in the Sunday school class. I thought the teacher had a
-
burden. I thought the pastor had a bird. Where's the fruit? I
-
thought me and their father had a burden. I thought me and their mother
-
had a burden. Where's the fruit? Can't seem to find a fruit.
-
There's a never ending turnover sometimes in membership to the holiness pastor in church pioneer
-
or planner. That doesn't mean anything to some of y'all because you're not the
-
pastor, you don't have the pastor's burden. The fact that the congregation has
-
a new face at just sixteen years doesn't mean anything but most of y'all in
-
the billion, But it means everything to me, because if I was to
-
have the other eighty that have come through these doors and set in these views
-
for their link to period of two years, we need a bigger church.
-
So there's a never ending turnover a membership of the church, pioneering planning.
-
So what do we do is give up and quit. I don't see the
-
results of this your plan, good sidelined, your ministerial train wrecks. What
-
do you do? You just give up? You stolen David. Everybody just
-
goes back home and says, it was a mistake. We all made a
-
mistake. Really, was your marriage a mistake? Is that where you live?
-
Your marriage? Was your ministry of mistake? Was a God that called
-
you? Or not? I know what I know tonight. I know what
-
I'm feeling. I haven't preached in a while. My voice has held up
-
very well, but I know what I know tonay. It's a ministry,
-

told the story of camp meets, and people gave him big offers and sent
