Well, would you continue to pray for them? If you have your bibles,
-
will you turn with me to the Book of Jeremiah mad direct your attention
-
to the fourth chapter and the third verse. Brother Nathaniel Matthew, chapter number
-
thirteen and verse number nineteen. Brother Jesse Mark, Chapter number twelve and verse
-
number thirty seven. Didn't you all appreciate that singing that we heard a little
-
while ago, the congregational singing, the choir singing, the special singing,
-
all of that singing was just so wonderful to testifying. Everything has been so
-
good. I'm thankful for the good report that we received from Brother Philip.
-
Even though he is enduring radiation along with chemotherapy and having radiation treatments daily,
-
not for thirty days, but for three months. The doctors are bewildered that
-
he does not need a blood transfusion. His blood count, his hemoglobin levels
-
are not decreasing, they're increasing, mysteriously, thank God. Through that mysteriously,
-
I'll tell you who that mystery man is. The miracle man himself is
-
helping brother Philip. I was seen text messages from people that have been listening
-
to the messages, and they have heard us talk about Brother Philip's hair growth.
-
They say that's a miracle in itself. They say, there is no
-
way a man who is going through chemo and radiation that his hair would be
-
growing. But it is growing because of that connection Brother Philip made with the
-
miracle man a few weeks ago. God bring him and promise he would help
-
that hair. Really he has. I'm thankful for that. Brother Nathaniel Matthew,
-
chapter number thirteen, verse number nineteen. When anyone here at the word
-
of the kingdom, and understand if it not didn't come at the wicked one
-
and catches the way that which was sown in his heart, this is he
-
which receives seed by the wayside. Amen. Brother jesse Mark, chapter number
-
twelve, verse number thirty seven. David therefore himself calleth him Lord, and
-
whence his heat in his son, and he and the common people heard him
-
gladly praise the Lord. Jeremiah chapter number four, verse number three. For
-
thus saith the Lord to the men of Judah and Jerusalem, break up your
-
fallow ground and sonaw among thorns. Reading that latter part again, break up
-
your fallow ground and sonaw among thorns, I want to preach a message that
-
I feel the Holy Ghost title cultivate before it's too late. May we pray,
-
Heavenly Father, we love it, We praise you. We thank you
-
for the opportunity to be in your house. I thank you that the saints
-
have gathered tonight. They feel it important to come to your house, as
-
brother Stare said, for no other reason than to worship you. We're so
-
thankful Lord for the weapon of worship that they possess. Lord, the weapon
-
of the warrior of God is the word of God and the worship that they
-
have in the heart and their phrase. I thank you for that which you
-
annoyed, this thy servant said of God at my mouth. And help me
-
to say the things that you would happen to say, nothing more or less,
-
And anoint the ears of this thy people, that they might hear what
-
the Spirit of God saith under this church. Deny the people inside of these
-
four walls. May they be hearers, and may they heed. Will give
-
you the phrase and the honor and the glory. And may we depart this
-
place joyfully and not sorrowtly. And the Church says Jesus name. Amen,
-
you may be seated reading again. Jeremiah chapter number four and verse number three.
-
For thus saith the Lord to the men of Judah and Jerusalem, break
-
up your fallow ground, and so not among thorns. Our text is found
-
in an Old Testament book of the Holy Bible, the Book of Jeremiah.
-
The title bears the name of its author. The author of this sacred book
-
was a holy man of God. How many of you in this building tonight
-
understand that a holy man of God pen these words. He put pen to
-
parchment and gave us this blessed book. And by to add that every book
-
of the Bible was penned by holy man who was moved upon by the holy
-
ghost, that good holy Spirit of God breathed into them. This particular man,
-
Jeremiah, who we will focus upon some tonight, and we will focus
-
even more upon his writings. This man was a man of God. He
-
was a prophet, a seer, an oracle, a mouthpiece of God.
-
When it came to preaching the truth, he was first in line to volunteer
-
chapter this writing. He told the people that the Lord said, let not
-
the wise men bask in his wisdom, nor the mighty man in his might,
-
nor the rich man in his riches. He had told such men as
-
the mighty the wise, not to boast in their wisdom, might and riches.
-
He did not say that they were unwise. He did not say that
-
they were not mighty. He did not say that they were poor. He
-
told them, don't you boast in your wisdom, might and riches. But
-
it goes on to notify the children of Israel. Some who might have been
-
like these men were some who might have been these very men, But other
-
people who did not have the wisdom, the might, and the riches of
-
others. The Lord said, can I let you know something, Israel.
-
Listen to me carefully. Now you may boast in something as a child of
-
God. And you can boast in this fact that you know and understand who
-
I am, who God is, who He is. You can boast in
-
that. And I'm so thankful tonight that people came into the House of the
-
Lord boasting of the goodness of God. All this week I've been thanking the
-
Lord for his goodness and for his mercy, And truly it has been trailing
-
the heels of each and every person in this building. Why would we not
-
come to the House of God and make her boast in the Lord, I
-
want you to know that it would take a mighty man of God to put
-
his finger in the face of the mighty, the noble, the wise,
-
and the rich and to tell them, don't you boast about it. I've
-
been spending some time down in Miami on business, and you see a lot
-
of vehicles down in there. You see the vehicles of the paupers, and
-
you see the vehicles of the princes, so to speak. You see Lamborghinis,
-
and you see little tiny hondas, rasp burners, toyotas, and plenty
-
of times you see rolls, royces, and Sister Harrison, the Bible said
-
that a man's gift would open up opportunities for himself. I'm trying to paraphrase
-
right there, not quote it exactly as it is written. And so it
-
took a mid man of God to point to the noble prince and to tell
-
him, I know that you're wise, I understand that you're mighty, and
-
I behold your great wealth. But I want you to know you should not
-
be boasting in that. Back to me and Sister Havell, being in Miami,
-
we would see those that drove by into Lamborghini that was content to just
-
let it advertise for itself because of what it was. You knew who was
-
behind the wheel. You knew the popper or the young businessman was not operating
-
such a motor vehicle. But there were those that wanted to boast in the
-
abundance of the things that they possess, and they would advertise it would be
-
perfectly quiet around us, and then this loud noise, a great rumble would
-
take place, and you could tell that somebody had pushed the pedal to the
-
metal and rent the engine. And you looked to see somebody there in some
-
sports car that costs two hundred thousand plus, revving the engine, just wanting
-
you to turn your head so that you could see that they were behind the
-
wheel. Whether Mick Laru's mother is deceased now, so I could tell this
-
on her back when her husband Emilio was prospering greatly and not doing so well
-
spiritually, he took her out and he took her car shopping. While she
-
was car shopping, she pointed at a beautiful vehicle. I do not remember
-
the make model, but it was not a cheap vehicle. I want to
-
say it was something like a Lincoln Continental. And back in the eighties.
-
He bought her one of the finest vehicles that you could buy in that area.
-
She admitted to them many years later why she was riding around the neighborhood
-
so much in that vehicle. She said, I'm ashamed to admit it,
-
but I was showing it off. She said, I wanted everybody in that
-
neighborhood to know that I was the one driving that vehicle. She said,
-
I would slow down so that they could see and focus on the driver and
-
know that Barbara LaRue was the one behind the wheel operating that motor vehicle.
-
That's what Jeremiah the prophet was telling the mighty, the wealthy, the noble,
-
the smart, the wise man. He was telling them, don't you
-
boast in those things, and don't you show them off? Church say amen.
-
You see, this man of God must have been a mighty man of
-
valor, because at this time he was a young preacher or a young prophet,
-
but he was glad to serve as God's spokesman. Brother, stare at
-
this man, squared his shoulders, walked into the streets, threw down and
-
preached. His words were fiery, His message was explosive. This man of
-
God wasn't preaching a camp meeting. He wasn't preaching to a household of true
-
worshipers of Jehovah God or the faithful that were walking in and out of the
-
temple. He was preaching a message of repentance to his people who were going
-
astray. He knew his people were not doing right. He knew that his
-
people were sowing among thorns. He knew that his people were not cultivating their
-
hearts. God knew who Jeremiah was. God knew that he would be willing
-
to volunteer to engage in such conflict, a spiritual conflict with the believers that
-
were not living right, and also with the unbelievers that didn't want to hear
-
anything at all that the man of God was saying. God knew who Cheremiah
-
was before his mother's wound began to form Jeremiah. God knew he could use
-
this man to operate in the office of a prophet. Jeremiah was not going
-
to operate in the office of a noble man, in the office of a
-
king or a prince. So God had a planned for Jeremiah to be a
-
prophet, and Jeremiah would gladen me Colt the rate his own heart until the
-
time came to Jeremiah to do what God had commissioned him to do. At
-
what point Jeremiah said to God during his early years of minutes, that he
-
could not speak to the people on this important searching matter because he was too
-
long. Am I'm not supposed to respect to my orders? Am I not
-
supposed to honor the people that aren't in authority? And I paraprace here as
-
I've been doing so tonight. God replied with these words, come home,
-
Jeremiah. Don't let your young age hinder you. You won't remember that the
-
apostle Paul, speaking to the young man Timothy, he said, let no
-
man despise thy. You preachers, come out of your age. You signfinitely
-
possess capacity. You should also have a burden before you, minister. You
-
should also have a great knowledge and understanding of the Word of God. And
-
after you have obtained all of those wonderful things that that will help you in
-
your ministry. Remember you don't ever have to be intimidated by any one,
-
not a king, not a princes. No one so intimidate you. Who
-
said, understand who your employer is? Who to misses you or the past
-
that hand, and you should never feel inferior to the wealthy business man.
-
You should never feel inferior to the king, or the prince or the land.
-
When you learn how to get these things out stowed away in your heart,
-
you will find yourself being fearless, and you will preach without talking fear
-
and favor. It'll keep you from me a god haines eye. It'll you
-
from being balked. Enable yourself as somebody this for sel, preacher. You
-
will not walk around with a full seal side. Who can you test?
-
Let's say all that preacher's gonna do it. Let's call me a little maid.
-
Then I set myself down. Then I'll be careful who I go and
-
preach for Amen, and the church says Amen. Preachers preach repentance to people,
-
whether they be princes, kings or queens. Preach without fear or favor,
-
man of God. If God calls you, and that two letter word
-
if is a very powerful word. If God has called you, preach the
-
preach man of God, preach the whole counsel of God. Tell them nothing
-
but to truth. So help you God. One of the messages that the
-
propert Jeremiah had to deliver to the people. It's found it of golden text
-
Jeremiah, chapter number four and verse number three. Listen to what the Man
-
of God said in our golden text me find this writing. But just said
-
the Lord to the men of Tuna and Jerusalem, break up your fallow ground
-
there and so not among thorns, say somebody look at your neighborhood, saying
-
that, hey, neighbor, make up your fallow ground. Seen this next
-
time, So nothing among thorns. So what this is saying is said,
-
get read up the briars and the prayer of boll say and prepare the land
-
there that God has given you. Preparing on Parker, say, preparing for
-
clots, prepare it for fema for your family. Prepare the Lamb made it
-
to Who was this message directed? Certainly not to the Heathens of their patent.
-
This the sient porter onto the nation of Judah and being of Jerusalem.
-
Is that doctor who were preaching to today the hysteric. Just like Jeremiah,
-
we're preaching the professor Christians. People that say God is their God, people
-
that said they have faithful attendance went on in the house of God, that
-
they are not of their father Jesus, they're up their father the airport.
-
Jeremiah was stirred on a homely ghost to get out into the highways and stand
-
there and tell them that you are not putting God first. God is not
-
a priority in your life. To hear you're missing a poet Jeremiah. At
-
this time he was not preaching, saying head to the he that's and o
-
padan. So he was preaching to professors who would not professor say so.
-
With that in mind, the fool am I preaching tool who gotta culklabate the
-
broth too, lay sayna a monk of thorn. So thank God for that
-
fellow ride. God was concerned about their turning away from him unto other gods.
-
In other words, they are losing their good standing with Jehovah. The
-
old saints of yesteryear would say this, they were backsliding. A lot of
-
professor Christians today they say a person cannot backslide. But the old timers of
-
yesteryear would be clipped to say they have let their first love. They did
-
not lose it, they've walked away from it. They chosen for rabbits over
-
Jesus. They chosen the cares of this life and over the cares of ministry.
-
They chosen this pleasure over pleasures of God. This fact sliding. Notice
-
two things we're going on. The concerns here in my habit. He stated,
-
clearly, you aren't back sliding. The first thing I saw was the
-
commandment was given break up your pholoh ground, and so not to among the
-
thorns if they were not cultivating. There was something wrong telling somebody here tonight
-
the fact that your crownd is Philoh is disappointed to God. It is very
-
upsetting to your brothers and sisters in Christ. A lot of people they do
-
not preach properly on this scripture Pholloh ground. They act as go it has
-
never been plo They act totole. It has never been playing in the fruit
-
and never grown from the plants in that soil. That's incorrected. How the
-
girl speaks of a land that has been abandoned, that's lift unattended. That
-
love was what's prosperous, So that I must what's talcupate It trust the user,
-
it's the property older, it's the landlord. Hey, there's something that's
-
happening there. Somebody's lost her. They desired to cultivate, and that's what's
-
coming on. I'm feeling in my soul needs somebody, not in the sound
-
of my parents. So you're not cultivating, You're not preparing. You're preparing
-
the heart before you come to church. You're preparing your heart everything that we
-
get from return the times you will cultivator where you will lose out when God
-
I'm setting tone. People are a cultivated divorce to light. So the first
-
commandment was break up your ballogram and so not among thorns. And then I
-
think about this, brother Jesse. The concern was stated clearly, you are
-
backe sliding as a result to not obeying the command of God. Oh Jesus,
-
they have hearded their hearts. They have calloused their hearts until their almost
-
past feeling. Jesus mentiones something similar to this. In the Gospels. We
-
find the record of it. Some people call it the parable of the sower,
-
and I too have preached on the parable of the sower over the last
-
few years. But I've met something this past Sunday in my soul that instructed
-
me to name this the parable of the soils. We're gonna do that here
-
tonight. We're not gonna call it the parable of the summer. We're gonna
-
call it the parable of the soils. You see, Jesus was telling your
-
mind to tell these people, look at the condition of the soil. What
-
is it to cultivate? It is to prepare and use land for gardening or
-
crops. Do you all remember that when Jesus came, the Bible set aforeerunner
-
was sent ahead of the Son of God. Just tells me of the necessity
-
of proper preparation before anything takes place. And if Jesus cluster him, Saper
-
needed a prophet. Now you chilling the badness, a lockness of wild honey
-
eating prophet to be a bosser. And the we were to say one word,
-
prepare concern another world for their teen need. Is somebody cultivated before he
-
came? Don't you believe it? You need to cultivate your own heart the
-
parable head of the cerel say, it's speaking up the haunts of people like
-
you alive. Obviously we know who the soler is. Obviously we know what
-
the seed represents. We understand the interpretation of the parable. And so Jesus
-
needed someone to cultivate the hearts of mankind before his arrival. Now, I
-
want you to know that must have been a very important piece of ground.
-
We're not talking about a piece of ground that could not produce. We're not
-
talking about a piece of ground that was worthless. Just outside the front door
-
of the church here there is a little portion of this ground that seemingly will
-
not produce. It is not conducive for growth. There is something wrong with
-
it. Recently, brother Jacob and I said, we're gonna have to give
-
it a soil transplant. We have tried to cultivate it. We have tried
-
to break it up. We have tried to sow seed, and we did
-
not sow among thorns. Brother Jacob and I know better than that, we
-
would never do that. But there is something wrong with a condition of that
-
soil. We've tried every choice of grass and you could plant there. This
-
church has spent a couple of thousands of dollars trying to grow grass there.
-
Now, Brother Jacob, what are we gonna do? What in the world
-
are we gonna do with just that little piece of ground. We've got several
-
acres here now, and it seems like every piece of ground is further so
-
on other than maybe it eight by twelve Rectangler's shape of ground just outside of
-
the church. It's not only because of heavy traffic of people coming in and
-
out of the House of God. There's something wrong with that soil. Is
-
that? What's going on with you is there's something wrong when you're soil.
-
And when I look at your humanity, I see you have a saint coming
-
to name nominator. As Sister Root does again, I see that you have
-
the saint coming denminator the sister Root has you are nothing but flesh and blood.
-
God has pulled you from the dust of the earth and breathing you the
-
breath of life. And you have a spirit and a soul that has been
-
given to you. As Adam was given to garden that Adam was told to
-
keep it, you probably be a You are not keeping that soil, and
-
you're allowing the crimbles and the guy say the words of acorns to grow there
-
because you're not given to the soil. I said, you're not tending to
-
the soil. That's wrong with my peace of grown preacher, I'll tell you
-
what's more with it. When you're coming to church, you're not letting the
-
man. He's not a gospel time in his hand head to you on your
-
soul. You're missing a part that we're not churching this to it, but
-
we're not hearing. Let God say, that's what you're alive for saying,
-
I'm weary, were preparing god Im. They're thanking you our preaching the Lord
-
to day, but they're not kidding. I'm preaching it to the Prince.
-
I preach on to the proper time, curse the limity, cultivate, touch
-
the brons too late. I'm telling you the the the nurses coming, the
-
troubles on the horizon. Then you gotta cultivate the bath too late, Omon,
-
proper church and something. We want to cultivate her before it's too late.
-
Somebody. Then you get the gospel power. Then there's somebody better get
-
to work and work and lab You see, nowadays we can tell when we
-
walk in the building in most places, speaking of churches, you can tell
-
the pressure is on the preacher in the pool to cultivate. You can tell
-
that the pressure is on the elder in the church to cultivate and make it
-
a place that would receive seed and then it would grow and bring forth glory
-
to God. But Jesus himself said in the ninth chapter of Saint John's Gospel,
-
he said, I must work. You keep it mind. John had
-
already cultivated that. Jesus said, I must work the works of him that
-
sent me. While this day the night cometh when no ban can work.
-
You know the duration of Jesus's work. You have an idea of the duration
-
of the longevity of John back. This is work. You know when the
-
time of cessation came, when they were no longer working, when their work
-
has ceased. Now that work too and that word late too late is very
-
disturbing and very troubling. But an emphasis tonight is not too late. But
-
there will come a time when it's too late to reach the least lost and
-
Nolan, it will come a time when us too late to hear the preacher's
-
preaching. Now, they will come a time with us too late to attend
-
Sunday school. Faith, it will come a time with us too late to
-
go to church, for Jesus has already returned and took his bride away.
-
But the emphasis here tonight, it's not on too late, it's on cultivate.
-
Oh. Now, I feel like the pressure should not be on the
-
preacher. It should be on the person in the pew. I'm telling somebody.
-
You could sit there in the pew and how somebody runs the spiritual cultivator
-
say, all arounds, you run by road, all by all, they're
-
kills a cultivating. There close a power, there comes a shovel, there
-
goes a hood. But locked up, or you do it, we will
-
solve. We better lock while you are time to do so. That's told
-
the poor mother that doesn't read it. Talk And now it's up to you
-
to do what I called you to know. Well, there's something odd about
-
my piece of ground. Oh no, there's nothing. Oh no, there's
-
nothing. You're not cultivating within every man. There is a measure of faith,
-
the salvation of God that works repentance has appeared to every man. I'm
-
telling you the reason why you're not bringing forth fruit is because you're not allowing
-
the seed to go in the ground. And the reason why the seed can't
-
go in the ground is because you are not cultivating for reception of the seed.
-
There's anybody in this building here now that boy just preaching to myself or
-
as known, let the crickets preach here or not. So we're gonna call
-
this parable of our Lord, the parable of the soils. Did you catch
-
what I just said, the parables of the soils. I know we have
-
a sower and some seed in this parable, but let's focus on the soil.
-
The obvious is, we have a sower in Jesus tonight. We have
-
a sower that administers in this building tonight. And we have some seed,
-
and it's being scattered right now, and it's being so But I want you
-
to know that it is uncertain where it is being sold. I have no
-
idea. It seems like her. I'm custing upon equal ground. It seems
-
like her, I'm custing upon people on the same persuasion. I don't know
-
the secrety on the soil. I'm uncertain about the tradition of the soil.
-
We don't know, Richard, on the categories represent the condition of your heart.
-
I don't know if your heart is the stony ground. I don't know
-
if it's the fallow down. I don't know if it's the thorny ground.
-
It might even be by the way side. You modelate Hooray took this servant
-
and threw it out the door, and you will allowed to know of the
-
way side. Don't top me that you would have such a heart as dear
-
so our condition and uncontimpated, that you will about the press it, Oh
-
God, in the face in this day the propheteer of Mama was so un
-
to see, and he was preaching. Brother, he was preaching. He
-
said, that power they shut up in my bones. I cannot hold back.
-
The anaughton of God is upon him. He's doing everything he can to
-
deliver the burden of his heart. Since he was a young man, he
-
would have made informed in his mother's wound, just to how he knows.
-
I'm a prophet. But you know what they were hearing, But they were
-
not heeding. They were hearing and maybe listening, but they were not giving
-
them more earnest heed to the things that they heard. They were not pondering
-
things in their heart, and they were not acting upon those things that they
-
were hearing. In Matthew, chapter number thirteen and verse number nineteen, the
-
Bible said, when anyone here at the word of the Kingdom and understand it,
-
did not then come up the wicked word and catch it the way that
-
which is soda in his heart. This is he which was seved the seed
-
by the wayside. How are you gonna understand if you're daydreaming her and you're
-
not paying attention for what the spirit of God says her, come to the
-
church. Jesus comes on the same In Nurse number twenty two, he said,
-
he also that receives he among the thorns. Is he did here the
-
word and the cares of this world, and in the sequelness of riches trunk
-
the word and it becomes her unfruitful. That's what was happening in the Jermiah.
-
Oh he's just a young preacher. Oh it's just a crazy prophet telling
-
Lisa he is so look how passionate he is. We are card to and
-
collected, We're noble, we're mighty, we're rich. Yet to he said,
-
I'm just Michael goes within the churches a chargn they are rich and increased.
-
Who cuts and they have need of nothing. Stop boosting in your mind,
-
in your not give your wits, call down down gorns ants of my
-
doing. I'll start to forgive him left I can do repent it. J
-
I did apply in a fando. Let's not cultivating, isn't it? Find
-
how they can do little? The creature who is simply fulfilling his call or
-
ordained, ordained from his mother's womb. Jeremiah ordained from his mother's womb.
-
John the Baptist ordained from his mama's room. Jesus Christ ordained from his mama's
-
will. Rich Man Noble, right wise, you better be very careful of
-
down playing what God is trying to do in your heart. When God says,
-
I've given you an opportunity to break up that story. Ron, I've
-
given you an opportunity to cultivate. You know who the cultivator is. That's
-
the Spirit of God. No old man coming to the Father unless the Spirit
-
draw him. This message tonight lets me know that the Lord is trying to
-
pull for somebody. Maybe this are people in this building. God is handing
-
you a cultivator and telling you you better get to cultivating. They said right
-
here, and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he become a
-
fruitful if you might remain fruitful in this life. Your Mighty not say you're
-
unwise. Your Amighty did not say you're stupid, you re minded, not
-
say you're brocal. He said you better stop your bursting. Now, come
-
on to anybody listening around here, This twenty second versel. It is directed
-
to those who are rich and increased with goods, who need nothing, and
-
they feel us O they don't need anything else in their life. I don't
-
need a preacher. I don't need a doctor. I don't need a law.
-
I don't need that sermon. I don't need true Sola says say all
-
I need that. It's my private that must s tom with God. Hold
-
were ready by silence of God from us passage? They heeded Jeremi did John
-
the Baptist did? They needed? Others heard? How many of you right
-
now can admit that you are in hot pursuit? Oh God, what Jesus
-
was saying? What Jeremiah was saying? What John the Baptist was saying?
-
Some of you are in hot pursuit of Earth, of wisdom, pleasure,
-
wealth, knowledge. You're ever learning and never able to come to the knowledge
-
of the truth. Men are increased with knowledge. Pleasing myself is all that
-
matters somebody's thinking right now, Doctor Luke would speak to you. Doctor Luke
-
spoke of such people as yourself, and he spoke of the different soul types
-
thorny soul. Oh what did doctor Luke say? They are unable to produce
-
real fruit. Doctor Luke said, those that plant seed in thorny soul types,
-
they are unable to produce real quality fruit. There is an absolutely no
-
spiritual development in their lives. They never mature. How many of you saw
-
that picture I set out today of that young boy that has developmental issues.
-
He's not developing bodily because of there is something wrong. It is not the
-
case here. There is nothing wrong with this church. There's nothing wrong with
-
the sixty five people here. There's nothing wrong with the teachers and the preachers
-
here. There's certainly nothing wrong with the soul, the good Jesus that we
-
serve, and the good holy ghost that helps us, and the good Word
-
of God that blesses this service after service. So what is the problem.
-
What is the problem whise there are no spiritual development? By is the spiritual
-
immaturity. It's not Taunt's fault. It's not the prophet's fault. Jeremy,
-
the prophet was preaching of these people. He said, break up, you
-
are fellow ground. It's some not a monk's thorn, said, do you
-
know who sows a monk's thorn to somebody that thinks about doing something for God
-
after last minute. Someone that thinks about saying heaven, but that time praying
-
ahead after they're falling asleep. Somebody that thinks about head praying her before they
-
do. In the monk after they are reading a work care they come on.
-
Now, he just scout on that scene, have the hole turning around.
-
Not a preacher, bet it stewing that scene. I'm going around head
-
if you want to. That's gonna prove out that's unprofitable for their sake.
-
Listen, I love every person in this building tonight, but the condition of
-
your heart is what is most important to me right now. The condition of
-
your heart. There's no doubt the off Jeremiah was a great sower of the
-
Great Seed. There's no doubt. I mean, this man appears in the
-
Sacred Scriptures. This man gave us one of the most wonderful books in the
-
Bible. This man was so prophetic and so profound, and he gave us
-
such a glorious view of our Savior when our Savior was being crucified. There
-
is no doubt. There was no problem with the message, but system with
-
these people simply did not want to hear it because of the condition of their
-
heart. Also, Brother roquep he was a sower of the great seed.
-
But it was going to be left up to the people if their fields became
-
productive or not. And that's what's happening right here at Bethel. In many
-
other places, the pressure is on the preacher, The pressure is on the
-
order, The pressure is on the teacher. But the pressure on that soil
-
ought to be you. You ought to be sitting in sackcloth and ashes.
-
You ought to be fat, the praying and seeking God. You ought to
-
be turned in that song. How many of you believe that even Esau was
-
a keeper of the ground, even Esaul to what it was like to cultivate
-
to the song? How many people heard Cheerimiah in Jesus preaching about the condition
-
of the soil. A lot of people, I would say, tens of
-
thousands heard these spent of God preaches. How many served them? How many
-
serve Jesus? How many served the prophety? How many following Jesus? And
-
how many following the prophety? Not many? The Bible said, many are
-
called, but you are chosen because of the truth is very few people want
-
to work. And I can tell you if you do not want to work
-
naturally. There is no way you already holding our spiritual I have seen this
-
to be son a lazy preacher. He's a lazy prayer womber. He is
-
known want you at all that will come on now. I would not go
-
around from church to church they're in for an offering, and then when I
-
leave, having received a tear, say not offering, accuse him of knock
-
hiving will when I would not be atta knocked their head to help somebody in
-
that church. There was in me that even a postle call would say,
-
a quilla and priscilla. We got some tents to make just supplement. Not
-
INtime that the preacher castor listen to me because he had come not contivate that
-
they're playing for his family. The hell lock tw through his ten vest I
-
t church up pure revival. That okay, I raising preacher head. What
-
there's time to hold that? Now? Well? Would I act like he
-
had times on his plan? I feel a holy goos in this place.
-
They listen, but they did not allow the words to bring forth change in
-
their life. I spoke of Simon's name this past Sunday morning. It means
-
to hear, to listen to understand and to respond. Every child of God
-
must have a tender heart. We call that good ground. They're the people
-
that take every sermon seriously. It comes into every service thankfully. They come
-
into every service offering praise and thanksgiving because of the goodness and the mercy of
-
God upon their lives. I'm telling you, tender hearted people will pray every
-
night of the Revival when in service starts, dear in the service and dearing
-
the ultra service. But they will also pray every other service night. They
-
do not wait for Revival to plow their hearts. Oh Jesus, I struck
-
a nerves out there. I still love you. Are you waiting until the
-
last minute to say, Oh, that's right, we have church in thirty
-
minutes, Oh that's right, we have church in two hours. But the
-
tenure hearted person will take every service and every sermon for themselves. They will
-
get everything they can out of it. Even the oldest of saints that's been
-
serving a Lord for thirty plus years will allow the Holy Ghost and its spiritual
-
times to roll over in its heart, and that person will say, God,
-
change me, don't let me stay the same. And we see this
-
happen repeatedly. We've witnessed this happen for years. The person that needed it
-
walked away unscathed and not blessed. But that person that had been in God's
-
house for years walks out blessed, and they come to church the next of
-
us, just saying I got so much out of that. I feel like
-
I got saved again. Do you know that the same thing that they've done
-
when they got saved, it's the same thing they're doing now. There's never
-
a time when anybody stops. Can't deny it. I'm telling you preaching such
-
to tell them, never come out of time when you're not killing it up.
-
Saints God, then will never come a time when you're not punking it
-
up, when you're not stirring it up, puss, Paul said Timothy,
-
stirring up. Don't tell that's within you. That's what Paul is saying.
-
Don't let it lie us out, don't let it lock down the tack stand
-
up. The fellow ground had been turned up for so long I couldn't receive.
-
See, We'll say it like this, and it developed some sort of
-
crust. You know, It's like water off ducks back. It just does
-
not penetrate. He's scattered the seed and it bounces off the ground and the
-
fowls of the air come and pick it up. I've got some dove at
-
my house, and when that big hoodo he comes looking for something that he
-
picks one of them off. It might take him two or three days to
-
stunk it properly, learn his patterns and learn where it lights upon the feed.
-
But eventually he'll get it. The next morning I'll see that he had
-
got one of my pitches. I'll see a plum of feathers that just puffed
-
up right there, but no bird, because that seed could not go down
-
in that earth. And that's what I'm dealing with right now. We're pulling
-
and we're pushing. We've handed you the plow, and God has said,
-
cultivate work, cultivate work. The foul ground had been turned up before,
-
but now there's no desire. I'll just let it sit. And I want
-
to say something I said a little while ago. There is a family here
-
in town that used to be a very normal family. They used to be
-
a functional family. They used to be a prominent family and a renowned family.
-
Well recently I looked at their property and I looked at their homestead,
-
and I knew a meeting that something is wrong, something is not right.
-
There's a problem with dad. There's a problem with mom and sister. How
-
I was told there's a problem in the marriage. After all of these years
-
of being together, they are no more. He's seventy and she's sixty five,
-
and they're divorcing. I haven't called any names. What went wrong.
-
Somebody's stopped coltimating, I said, somebody's stopped plowing her off that crowd.
-
Are you powering up your heart? Are you searching the heart? Are you
-
killing me earth? Are you killing your soul? Are you pushing? Are
-
you praying? Are you stirring it up? Are you reminding yourselfer ah lokill
-
us of God? Are you hoping in God? Are you charging yourself in
-
God? Pray? But cultivating in the ashens of sick life? That's not
-
mattering. Let's to being true. That's not wrong with brothers, turns,
-
you lot, you sit, come on and stop cultivating. You see when
-
you stop cultivating, right then and there, it's known to your neighbors,
-
it's known to your visitors, it's known to everybody. You have no intention
-
whatsoever of being prosperous or fruit. When you see a church's running three or
-
four and it's been running three or four for fifteen or twenty years, you
-
can tell right then there's a nugget of wisdom for all of you right there.
-
You can tell right then that that pastor that preacher in that church is
-
content with us four and no more. And I guarantee if you grow up
-
to Dennis with him at the church, they'll give you ten thousand reasons or
-
why they can't grow at church there, and they'll blame it on everything,
-
but on their lack of desire to work. You'll do what I'm put in.
-
They'll say things like this, Well, the reason why this brother over
-
here is being blessed is because his church is where there's good soil. It's
-
where it's fertile. Oh what I would do if I was over there,
-
Know you would not you slocked a servant, Know you would not. You
-
would destroy it. You would destroy it by the timers. And I was
-
walking around looking at the portable buildings today. He climbed up on the rail
-
of one over them, and he threw one arm over one side, the
-
other arm over the other side. He dangled both feet off and he said,
-
Papa, look at me. I looked like a sloth. I said,
-
you sure, do you know what one looks like, don't you?
-
And I didn't explain one bit what that meant to that little man, but
-
I meant what I said. But I said, that's cute, and that's
-
funny, and that's adorable, that's hilarious. And I laughed and I said,
-
now let's go find something to do. And it wasn't too long after
-
that he said, Papa, look, there's some batteries that somebody needs to
-
throw away. There's some batteries that somebody needs to throw in the dumpster.
-
He would looking percepting to do. Come now, old uncultivated soil invites the
-
infestation of leeds, brambles and thirty bushes. Or you can miss her uncultivated
-
soil, Her invites infestation of men things who you want to be invested by
-
our parents and the demons of Hell. No, oh, no, how
-
they think you do. Then you gotta get to pollend and you better not
-
look back. Don't see anybody that mos up conspt loose for loser, for
-
the pole ens up leaving the field and they lose for the results of the
-
Kingdom of God. The Kingdom of God's results is that you would be fruitful,
-
and that's your frequent remain God's about attention is for you to post apostle.
-
Paul said, I word that you prosper, not talking about everybody having
-
a big, healthy roquest bank account, but I'm saying I do desire that
-
you prosper. Right, that you first, that you be in good health,
-
that's your soul prospers, that God blesses you. It's not God's will
-
that God would look down out of the portals of glory right now and see
-
some trees bring them forth a lot of fruit. And it's true, some
-
bringing forth a few pieces of fruit, and then some feels, Brother Philip,
-
God looks down from heaven and he says, why is that thorny patch
-
there? Why why is it so infested with thorny bushes? Those thorns are
-
what's choking the life out of you spiritually, the small foxes full of iron
-
and little thorns, the thorny bushes. Someone needs to cultivate that heart.
-
How do I do that? Preacher, thank you for asking you humble your
-
else you repent and you allow that heart to be resentive to the word of
-
God. You acknowledge at the foot of the prophet Jeremiah, and say,
-
Preacher, it's apparent to me that God sturges you to preach this very message,
-
a young preacher. You just said I needed to break up my fallow
-
ground and that I should not be sowing among thorns. Any wise man,
-
any noble man would realize sowing among thorns will not bring forth good results.
-
And that statement doesn't mean something to somebody. I can tell that. But
-
if God was to tell me brother Howell, he probably wouldn't say Brother how
-
If I said Jeremy, or maybe call me by my new name that I'm
-
getting one I get to heaven, or brother Nathaniel. If God told me
-
Jeremy, so not among thorns, I said, what moment? Now you
-
do realize that somebody in this building tonight God has said you better cultivate because
-
it's too late. And we know what the Holy Goss has been saying through
-
tones of interpretation, and we know what he said this past Sunday night.
-
His sister WoT came in this building tonight to testify of how she was greatly
-
blessed Sunday night as this youth choir was singing this past Sunday night, I
-
said, Lord, that was so wonderful. The power of God was so
-
strong, the glory of God was so real. Rich, Sweet Sister Howard
-
asked me that Sunday night. She said, how they do? She said,
-
When I'm standing up there in front of them, I can't really hear
-
it. I said, honey, didn't want the Sister Wooton is saying I
-
went home blessed. What she's saying is I went home with an abundance of
-
fruit, And she said, I've been feasting on it all week and couldn't
-
wait to get back here this Wednesday night to testify that I was still full.
-
And I still feast them. But in that same service before they spoke
-
and said, somebody, before too long, it's going to be too late.
-
Jesus said, I must work the works of Him that sent me while
-
it is day for the night coming. You may like night shifty. You
-
may be a night hour, so when God turns the locks out, you
-
won't be working by canderlight. That's what you do it you're waiting until it's
-
too late. You know you're supposed to start spiritual work. At seven am,
-
you start thinking about where you're supposed to be the seven oh five area.
-
Your employer doesn't lock that vea, does your God lock that? And
-
I've heard creatures before say I don't have any notes. I don't use notes.
-
I don't believe in notes. I can tell who's got enough God in
-
them and enough Bible in them to do that. And I can tell who's
-
lying between their teeth. And they simply are making an excuse for why they're
-
fixing a preach on every and anything, and preach a rabbit trail sermon that
-
makes no sense to anybody. The sloughful they was at McDonald's up until seven
-
o'clock, drug hisself into the church at seven twenty and open service at seven
-
point thirty. Did not Jesus say he would say, thy slothful servant,
-
break up the fallow ground. I love each person in this field, and
-
I love the people of God. But Jeremiah's message that he preached would not
-
be posted on most podcasts today. John the Baptist's message that he preached would
-
not be posted on much media today. Mark twelve and thirty seven goes like
-
this, David therefore himself calleth him Lord, and whence is he? Then
-
his sons and the common people heard him. Gladly, someone should have heard
-
Jeremiah Gladdy, someone should have heeded the words of John the Baptist. Glad
-
d. Mark is saying that most of the people present who were listening to
-
Jesus at the time, received the Lord's teachings. But also it's been noted
-
because Sun did not receive them. So where does this leave us? Somebody
-
has to go to the tiller and not wait until the last minute to realize
-
that needs gas and or Titus was telling me today and system arguere right,
-
I am programming him and I am working on him. Today's that Papa cover?
-
Are Titus wills us psit down? Or right now? Coupny of times?
-
We just talked about working. After I made him a little wooden knife.
-
I spent three minutes on it. Maybe because I'm not to give him
-
a REALISTI let me today we were talking about working, and you said,
-
Papa, what kind of man goes and gets a weed either to do some
-
weed eat I forgets to bring this straight? Would you say that? See?
-
Did you mean what you said? You couldn't believe that kitchen. How
-
old are you? Okay, thank you? That's coming out of the mouth
-
of a six year old. What kind of pastor comes to church and he
-
doesn't have a vagacy? That's what Jesus said. Behold apparel, Behold of
-
sower, Behold a sower. It just won't out of the barn. Down
-
there in his hand is a bag of seat. Who goes to the field
-
without their bag of seat? But I can tell you this, maybe three
-
days prior, or a week prior, a farmer renod the whole. A
-
fireman coming out of the barn with a cultivator. I don't want to freeze
-
like that. I don't want to stir it up. I don't want to
-
turn it up. I don't want to tell it up. That's okay,
-
freacher. You can cast that seat if you want to, but you've better
-
cultivate before it's too late. When that young man that could have been helped
-
ends up being a homosexual ends up being a transgender, that girl ends up
-
being promiscuous, that boy ends up being a murderer, that girl ends up
-
being in a bank robber, a thief. The old manner of sin is
-
being committed because you refuse to cultivate again. The pressure is being placed right
-
here on the whole pit and all the preacher, But where the pressure needs
-
to be placed is on each person in that period. Let's stand. We're
-
gonna give Brother Jesse a break tonight. This is not to condemn us.
-
This message is to protect us, each and every one of us. It
-
is to challenge us. I, like Sister Howell, like Sister Crystal,
-
like others, have been very sick. But I feel like I'm about to
-
be done with that, says to how It's still in the middle of it,
-
says the hand is still in the middle of it, says the crystal
-
just gets starting and stead going around. But I want to come to night
-
threats to you because I felt like I needed to cultivate towards to Lady again,
-
cultivated to prepare and use land for garden and earth province. Now the
-
pastors come through, as John the Baptist did, and Jesus came, and
-
Apostle Paul also said, I've laid a foundation. You better be careful how
-
you build on that foundation. At this point, we're pushing the tiller towards
-
you and saying, now kill up your on parcel ground, because around each
-
person in this building there's a boundary, and there is a line that your
-
Sunday school teacher, your parent can't cross. I always told my children,
-
I said, I cannot make you do things. I cannot make you serve
-
the Lord. But if you, like Judas, choose to go to hell,
-
then the song that goes like this, why would you choose to go
-
to hell? Why would you choose to die? How does it go?
-
Brother just said, why would you choose to play the full? What has
-
what convinced you to play the fool? Laziness? Lawfulness? Right? Because
-
it's work. But I want you to know those people may have thought Jeremiah
-
was being hard on him as he preached, but you know who he was
-
being the hardest on himself. He cultivated his heart before he preached. But
-
y'all think about the cultivating that went on for him as a young preacher at
-
that time to walk into the streets and to subject himself to mockery, ridicule,
-
criticism, for some rich guy to drive by on the latest model Cammell
-
and it make him feel like he's nobody. God could have easily commissioned Jeremia
-
to be the rich guy. But God commissioned that preacher to preach to the
-
rich guy to keep the rich guy from going to hell. All right,
-
you better be careful throwing the prophet out of your life. They ended up
-
taking Jeremiah, throwing him in defict. Y'all remember the terrible of the soils?
-
Right? Or have you missed the point again? The condition of your
-
heart has everything to do with you. If you're refusing to cultivate, then
-
you will never bear free. I'll say this carefully. Brother Tyler has told
-
me for years, I want to be just like your dad. He's like
-
an adopted son team and I want to be just like the only way he
-
can be, just like he has to cultivate on a daily basis, the
-
same way I do. Right, Brother Samuel told some preachers recently. I
-
heard him say it. He said, if we're gonna have the anointed that
-
our pastor has, if we're going to have the call that our dad has
-
and the anointing that our dad has, we're gonna have to work spiritually the
-
way our dad works. I want to say this. There are no orphans
-
God, and with God, there's no handouts to the slothful and the lazy
-
Spiritually, you have to earn it. And if I could, I'd like
-
to scream two phrases, break up your foul ground and scream once more in
-
distance. So not one of the fos. You'll think twice before you play
-
that country music tomorrow, hopefully, and then try to come to church and
-
sew gospel seed among thorns. You'll think twice tomorrow, saanks God, where
-
do we go from here? What do we do? Because A definitely gave
-
me the latter part of that before it's too late. I know, Sister
-
Rachel, if she could, she'd cultivate for you. She'd help you.
-
If I could, I would. That's what I'm trying to do. But
-
I keep get sunk, I keep seeing ground and says, don't touch me.
-
Now you say preach to me, and you say, I'll listen to
-
you. You can scatter and see, but I'm not going to receive it.
-
And as if you said, I'm untouched and I'm unscathed and I'm unchanged,
-
you don't realize how dangerous that is. So where do we go from
-
here? When does change come again? The cultivator is in front of you.
-
It needs oil, it needs gas and it needs an opera. It
-
needs an operator. Do you know who the operator is? Each one of
-
us only I had to sort of altar by now. But I feel like
-
God's I want you to feel that pressure again. I loved each one.
-
I love them barely. I heard it. Creatures feel like they just can't
-
plant some soul with the hearts of him because of the condition of the soul.
-
They said, I just can't plan anything. They're interest as it waiting
-
for the seed or the sack. I had plans, I had to see,
-
I had to serve, and I had to message. I had to
-
sack them. But I just can't plan it there. It's not going in.
-
It's not ten to bleed. I just can't plant. Yeah, I
-
just can't plant there. It's thorny there. It's not that I amout casting
-
seed and I just can't get the seed to penetrate the crust. I just
-
can't get it in. I just can't get it in there, brother things,
-
or I just can't. I just I just can't sermon at diserment de
-
servant. If I took a hammer and a chisel and bore a hole by
-
driving the chisel into the crust with the force of the manet and drop the
-
seed in there. It still do no good. Be sewing among thorns.
-
Cultivate before it's two length, hereby to tend the men. You're n wild,
-
you're weak, you're poor, he said. Don't you boast any wisdom
-
your mind or your richest preacher. You can't touch me. Who do you
-
think you are? You at another better preacher. Your name is Jeremy.
-
I met Jeremiah said name. God sent the cultivator to you, and you
-
know it. And you used to humble yourself, but now you get hard.
-
I'm harder where there's hardness of soul. There the thorns first
