Don't be a credit crook - Bro Jeremy Howell 5-22-2024

If you have your bibles, will you turn with me to the Book of

Daniel. The Book of Daniel, mad director attention to the second chapter and

verse number nineteen Daniel, chapter number two, Verse number nineteen. Brother Nathaniel

solb Chapter number one eighteen and verse number twenty three. Brother Jesse, Proverbs,

chapter number twenty two and verse number four. All right, Brother Nathaniel,

Salve, chapter number one eighteen, verse number twenty three. This is

the Lord's doing. It is marvelous in our eyes. How many of you

believe that it's through the Lord that we do the things that we do,

and without him we can do nothing. I want to preach of us as

the Holy Ghost titled don't be a credit crook, Brother Jesse, Proverbs,

chapter number twenty two and verse number four. Humility and the fear of the

Lord are riches and honor and life. So all of that comes through the

Lord. By the Lord. Let's stand for the reading of our texts.

Daniel, Chapter number two, Verses number nineteen and twenty. Then was the

secret revealed unto Daniel in a night vision. Then Daniel blessed the God of

Heaven. Daniel answered and said, blessed be the name of God forever and

ever, For wisdom and might are his. He's given the credit to the

Lord. Don't be a credit crook. Skipping down the verse number twenty seven,

Reading on the verse number twenty eight, the Bible says Daniel answered in

the presence of the king, and said, the secret which the king hath

demanded cannot the wise men, the astrologers, the magicians, the soothsayers,

showing to the But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets and makes

known to the king. Nebucha nzure what shall be in the latter days?

Thy dream and the visions of thy head upon thy bed are these? Look

at verse number twenty eight. But there is a God in heaven that revealeth

secrets. Back it up to verse number twenty Daniel answered and said, bless

it be the name of God forever and ever. And I know there's a

bunch of you sick, and as you can tell, I hardly have a

voice, and I'm very weak in body as i battle covid. But I

want to preach to you tonight, so I desire your prayers. May we

pray, Heavenly Father, we love and we praise you. We pray that

you would anoy this thy people. Help them to hear what it is.

The Spirit of God saith unto the church tonight, not of my words,

but of yours. Through this word of God. May they receive life and

strength tonight. I pray that you would annoy this nice servant set a guard

at my mouth that helped me to say the things you would have you to

say. Nothing more and less. We give you the praise of the glory

and the honor of Jesus' name. And the Church says, amen, don't

be a credit crook. When it came time to praise the Lord, Daniel

did not hesitate to praise the Lord. Our text is found in an Old

Testament book of the Holy Bible, the Book of Daniel. The title bears

the name of its author. I enjoy reading about the experiences of the Jews

during their time of captivity in the land of Babylon. I also enjoy reading

about the experiences of the Jews during their time in captivity in Egypt's land.

During this particular time that they were in captivity, they were blessed with a

god fearing man named Daniel. Daniel was a seer, somebody that could look

into the future. He was also someone that we would call a visionary,

someone that believed that the people of God would not always be in the state

that they were in. He had hope. Brother Samuel Howe encouraged his people

tonight to continue to have hope in God. And may I tell every person

in this building you lose hopes the day you've lost God and the day you've

lost your soul. The devil would love to convince you that there is no

hope. And if you ever do feel like while you're in a drought spiritually,

or in a famine, or in a valley low, or feel like

you're in a land of captivity, do not lose hope. If you'll look

to your left, see people of God. If you look to your right,

you will see a man of God, a prophet, a preacher,

a seer, a visionary, somebody that is encouraging you that you can get

out of that sticky or tragic situation that you're in. We find here that

Daniel too was numbered among those that were being held captive against his will.

If he could have land left the land of Babylon, he would have got

on the first cart exiting that land I believe that Daniel was somebody that understood

that God is in control. He was somebody that understood that he was not

the one orchestrating the events of his life, and he realized that life choices

of other people, including those that are in leadership positions, would affect him.

I know that if David had been the king at this time, the

people of God would not have been carried away into Babylon, but because they

had someone that was in position that was not the God fearing person that they

should have been. We find these people suffering consequences because of the actions of

others, and this should warn us right here tonight. It should cause our

blood to be chilled parents, as we realize that our children could suffer because

of our life choices. I'm glad tonight that you chose to be in the

House of God. I will tell you and be the first to admit that

I did not feel like preaching or worshiping tonight, but it is very important.

As the patriarch of the Higwell tribe that is living here in the land

of Label, it is very important to them that I demonstrate that we could

do all things through Christ, which strengthens us including preach the God I spoke

with Covid and for the skeptic and those that are full of fear. May

I say, I have not been interacting with the people in this building,

nor have I been breathing upon them, hacking, coughing upon them, or

shaking their hand. When I have walked up on this platform and attempted to

preach to these precious people tonight, whom I have been asked the Lord to

shepherd. We find that Daniel was instant in season and out of season.

Even though he is in the land of Babylon. He is busy ministry.

And God will always have a people, and God will always have a preacher,

somebody that will herald the truth. And sometimes the truth hurts, and

sometimes the truth is that we're not going to be able to get out of

that sticky situation immediately, but we will eventually. And these people were blessed

in the fact that they knew that they had somebody that was being promoted by

God. If you'll think about this, Daniel was being promoted within the greatest

empire of the world during a tragic time in the national history of Israel.

This lets me know that even in these United States of America. God could

promote the right people, and there could be a turning around of this thing

if God's people are willing to humble themself and to pray and to give credit

unto God as King of kings and Lord of lords, and if they would

fully trust him that he is able to turn it around. So Daniel had

a message for his people that God would turn it around. As we read

through this book of the Bible, the Sacred Writing here before us, we

find that there are children of God who are willing to live dedicated lives to

the Lord in spite of their surroundings and in spite of their difficulties. Even

though Daniel wasn't in the homeland of Israel, he was still operating as the

Lord's oracle. Have you ever seen somebody that wasn't necessarily feeling up to doing

something, but because of the necessity of responsibility, they were doing what they

needed to do in spite of an illness or in spite of whatever situation they

were up again. So with time that this man is willing to be the

Lord's oracle, He's willing to be a prophet and a visionary in such a

time as this, the wise man. Daniel was a man that believed in

fasting. He also believed that before honor, there must be humility. He

was also a man that walked by faith and not by side, a man

of prophecy, a man that had a vision of better days forthcoming. And

he was one that knew that it is important that every child of God give

the credit to God. I have heard people in this building tonight during a

season of testimony, give credit and praise to God. I think it'd be

wonderful if every person in this building tonight gave God a raise, a praise.

Whether it be great if we lifted up the name of the Lord and

we gave God a raise a praise, if we increased his credit. Recently,

I posted a picture on our church photo circle. I know that our

church are not our church people are not proposers of social media. We do

not participate in such things. But we do have a church group or photocircle,

and I uploaded some information to this church family, and on that photocircle

post, I've made a comment that the photocrans goes to Brother Jeremiah Howell.

Some months ago, I posted another picture and in parentheses at the bottom down

there in the caption, I said, photocrats go to Brother Richard Jacob.

There's a lot of people in churches today. They are not hesitant to praise

themself and praise others, that they never contemplate the consequences of lifting themselves up.

For years, I've told this people that it is not about us,

It is about others and burst and foremost it is about God. And may

we always remember when we're praising our family, and when we're praising ourself,

not to forget to give the highest of regards and praise. If an of

prince of letterary to God, because the credit is his. May I say,

what's for that? Daniel knew the importance of giving God the credit and

the glory and change Chapter number one, in verses sixteen Truth Earnest eighteen.

It goes like this, do not err, my beloved brethren. Every good

gift and every perfect gift is from above and cometh down from the Father of

LIFs, with whom is though parableness, neither shadow of turning of his own

will we get us with a word of truth, that we should be a

kind of first fruits of His creatures. You see, Change, the servant

of the Lord ri reminding believers of his timing and our day, even people

in this building tonight, that every good and perfect gift cometh down from our

heavenly Father. Many people today are like leaves, people to who Change was

taching. They have been gifted by the Lord, they get after it.

They hustle. Everything they do is true great sacrifice, including blood, sweat

and tears. The founding fathers of the early Christian churches, and the Marnyrs

of that same church, and the maurners of this day hour, they are

certainly parting head to ministry and to the kingdom fowles for the blood, the

sweat and tears. You know, you and I, if we're not careful

left because of our good works, sometimes we will feel like we are best

because of something that we have done. We will feel like we are blest

because of our own goodness and our own greatness. And know that for years

of her and old timers in the church say, oh, my goodness,

and I know that they did not mean that bad that. I'll talk to

myself, and I'm sure I've said it a time or two, Oh my

goodness, sir, but I'll talk that if it was not for their goodness

and their greatness and the gracesome God, I would not have any goodness.

And that's what James was telling that these people in the earth in church.

He said, you might be my beloved brethren, but do not air.

I'm talking tony about. Don't be a credit cook, do not air.

Don't forget the loved brother, and be loved sister. When your interestatesa tell

me what thanksgiving? Not for how good you been, not for your good

work sake, but because of what could He has gone a breath that He's

prepared in your body, left forever and needs that He is supplied for good

and bad. Help. If you've got breath of life in your body,

that come into the House of God, thankful and faithful under him. Man,

give him the praise and the glory. Let us do his name.

James was reminded these beliefs, brother Nathaniel, that their goodness coming from God,

every good and every perfect gift coming from above from our heavenly Father.

It is true that God gifted the church. The Bible said he gifted us

for certain types of ministries. Apostles have been given to us, their preachers,

pastors, teachers for the perfecting of the church, for the entifying of

the body of Christ. But sometimes we see those ministers and within those ministries

being lifted up with pride. The Bible gives us an example of an epinity

of ministry, and that is a worship leader in that semester city, Lusofer

by name, the son of the marity. Even then the luck of himself

and the luck and his actions and luck and what he was doing for God,

and somehow he calls up his ego, he loses outer with God,

and God cast him down. I started to title this sir, until the

I feel like our preacher, there's somebody that I you who live the

credit, You love the praise. You want somebody to mention your dame.

There's something you got give that credit to God. Don't be a credit crook.

You know God gifted you. You know God blessed you. I don't

understand why preachers struggle the way they do about other preachers preaching the way they

do, because God gifts every man chevrolety with an ability as he God is

in control, and I should be able to say thank you Lord forgive to

my brother to be able to help me in the way that He is helping

me through you and by your power. You see, God will use a

preacher to help you. God used Albert Einstein to help you. God used

Elon Musk to help this generation. God has used other people like saying Little

Morris to help this generation a previous generation. God used men like Alexander Crambell

to help prive thiss of generations. And that was God trying to help you

manage humanitid cried out and ask God for help. But Anathaniel did not know

that I was gonna preach on the night. But that is the mary of

essence of what I'm trying to preach on. One of the pery things that

lind in that God deem with me about this message was a prayer that I

was praying and I sent the pair meeting today. I said, God,

I do not have the words to tell these general contractors. I do not

to a place where you believe you are greatly blessed because of your own goodness

and your own lateness. Daniel was certainly one that was highly favored of the

have been easy for Daniel to have felt like he was deserving of it,

steal the Lord's credit comes knocking on the door of every gifted person. If

you said a knife, I'm not gifted, well than good. But if

you aren't gifted, you know this to be true. If you're gonna stay

unity, if you're gonna stay last take, then God's gonna continue to speak

to you. You've got to turn that praise vernacle. You've got to like

the views or the Holy ghost of sending talking to the glory. Ride all

the praise and all the honor and all the glory, then all the credit.

But what conor is doing that God's gonna do? Goings to God.

May there be powerworks and praise in heaven. May somebody give y'ad to pay

raise a praise. May somebody lift up the name of Jesus. May somebody

somehow thank your Lord. It is not of our goodness. It is not

because of our impeccable work ethic, it is not because of our strength,

It is not because of our dedication and commitment. All of that I came

from the Lord. All of those things are gifts her from the Lord.

You see these wealthy and rich people, these people that have been seemingly promoted

among others above others. Sister, how if they're not careful, they will

be getting antem like this, Sir, I have taken care of myself.

I have taken care of myself. And if they aren't careful that in due

time they will find themselves personifying that the words that have found that in revelation

chucking them a tree and rest Thember seventeen worst. And because thou sayest I

am rich, I am increasement. Dennit I have needed nothing and know it's

not the tiring rich, and and mers them on, ne terror bly and

nehd you that I have the wealthy, but a king you can have no

riches for not supper r Ho. Come on now and trust pains overs have

what answering wealth, health and my he will say, no poor, no

has discovered it. I've seen many received of the Lord, and I've all

tifted them by whom they praise. They'll come on now if they praise themselves,

and they praise there amen, and they lift up their name. I

will never be this ministry cheer me. However, ministries assume as our sing

we're dead to me. I don't want God saying you may be rich.

devil can be everywhere and every time. And that is true. The devil

closer. But the devil is not like you and I. He's got a

whole lot more power than you do. In fact, the Bible said that

with Lucifer or Satan was offering all the kingdoms of the world. He showed

them to Jesus in a moment of time. He did not need a StarCraft

or a spaceship. He did not need a fast car. In a moment

of time, them two travelers throughout the world. Now, I've seen people

who have sold their soul to Satan. And then I seen people and have

sown out this said to God. I see them make sycrifical for Satan.

That why I saw others make sacrifice to God. Come on, and then

I'll see men like Mother Theresa make a sacrificer under herself. Oh my God.

The problem me say not the sacrifice or the wilderness for someone man to

sacrifice, even Bacon, Mother sacrifice the o Bacon. The problem with me

is say you are un sacrifice the praise too. I sacrifice to God.

It's kind that done theirs not. We break the sacrifice of praise into the

house of the Lord, and the praise goes to the Lord, and the

praise goes to the Lord. So Satan offered Christ all the kingdoms of this

world. History is full of people who would sell their soul and who would

kill for that kind of power. History is full of people that did it,

saidam Hussein is one of them. He plucked the brides of other men

right out of their hands. He pulled them right out of their vehicles and

put them in his and took them brides back to the palace. I'm telling

you there's people in Lamel if they could have rulership over every kingdom of this

world. They were training their soul right now. But we know that Jesus

did not fall for all the kingdoms of the world, because the Somons had

taught us so that the kingdoms of this world and the earth is God's and

the fullness thereof the only reason why these kingdoms had become what they are now

is because they had given their wheels and their minds to the workings of Satan.

If they would have just gained the credit to who deserved the creditor,

and they had just given the praise to God and God's Son, then they

would beholding the cities throughout the world today. What the problem is man us

to be on a talk show, man us to be on a podcast.

Man must to see his name on a head. No, han't come now,

don't be the credit talk has don't coming down. The God says,

you aren't gonna tell Hell where every brains. You talk for me, You're

better gonna tell for everything God have said of my name. We exist because

of God. The kingdoms of this world exists because of the Son of God.

God gave them permission. But you know what, not many mortal beings

well for some of the things people have fallen for. There's people that have

sold their souls in Illuminati. There's people that have sold their soul to so

many things, and at the end they're left handed luck after them. They're

left handing out of their hands of their own head. Now, I feel

my helper right here. You pray for me. I know you're sick too,

Daniel. He can capitalize upon the skill sense that he's developed. He can

actioning off your soul? Don't come on now, that is not your body.

And the preacher said, man, it wasn't that good. I'm telling you

what I'm saying. The preacher was basically saying, God definitely is not to

blame for what you just got up there, but it is all in Jesus.

We should give him the honor. Now you know how Daniel stayed out

day he would kneel down and ask the Lord for understanding and if I assistance.

give you the interpretation and the revelation. Daniel must stop looking for honor and

respect. He received it, but he must not dishurry it. Daniel plainly

told the king that it was God's doings and song. Chapter number one eighteen,

verse number twenty three. It says, this is the Lord's doings,

and it's marvelous in our eyes. The truth is you're gonna serve somebody.

If you choose to serve yourself, you're serving Satan. So twenty three,

this is the Lord's doing and it's marvelous in our eyes. But it could

also be marvelous in your eyes and be Satan's doings. Again, now are

people that have increased riches through the power of bells above. But in this

situation, Daniel was blessed because it was God who made it possible. Message

came from God. It's true Daniel was promoted brother Nathaniel, but that promotion

came from the Lord. And it's true Heathens are promoted every day by Lucifer

to our verse chapter number twenty two and verse number four said, by humility

and the fear of the Lord are riches and honor and life. Now I

don't want to add to the word of God here, but there's also promotion

that comes by pride and arrogance and haughtiness and not fearing the Lord, and

riches are increased and honor is given. But there is not life. By

humility the fear of the Lord, then there comes riches honor in life.

Our purpose should be to praise Him and his name for everything he has done.

You see, if I was doing this for Jeremy Howell, I would

have stayed in that fifth will tonight. But because I know I'm accountable to

God for every service that I'm miss especially as past, I even ask the

Lord. Can I ask somebody else to preach tonight to fill in for me

tonight? But I know that this message is for the Lord. There's a

lot of people wanting to do something for God. Concerning ministry. There's people

want singing ministry. There's people want prayer ministry, but they're doing it for

themselves. They're praying and asking God for it, and they're asking amiss that

they might consuming upon their own lust. The yo hold old. Now we're

just duck it to the best part. In the third chapter of the Book

of Acts, we find the lame man at the gate who was hopeless because

inside of the temple, just on the other side of the gate, there's

men that are saying they're doing everything for the glory of God, but they're

praying out in the streets to be heard and seeing men. They're looking for

the utmost seats in the house. They're looking for the reverence and the honor

and the respect of those in the community. And it's not helping nobody.

They won't the credit. So they cruise up by Jesus and they think that

they've gone away with a ministry of Jesus, just like a lot of religious

leaders today that despise holding us a pentecoster people. But these pumper and they

approach the temple at the hour of prayer, and they looked upon that lame

and they said, our pockets surrepting. We've been following Jesus. They

In the days of your youth. Give the credit to Jesus. If

God's given you a talent, use it for the glory of God. Give

the credit to Jesus. If you've been gifted to teach, or to play

an instrument, or the witness, or to reach the loss, or the

recites scripture, to memorize scripture, or the preach, or just if you've

been get to deliver it. Sister, how and I are in a transition

beaten in the back of hands or beaten into prisons. I've met them,

I've talked to some of them, some of them who weren't to this day

paranoid. I sat in the middle of their church and had feast stay with

them. All we had was bread, squash, few pieces of fruit.

They gave me and two other men one chicken luggage. So when I come

back to the States, as we stand tonight, we were having Thanksgiving and

we had about three tables full of food from one end to the other.

Each table had a beautiful spread on it. I walked in there and I

saw that, and I'm not a very emotional person, but my emotions rose

strong within me, and I walked outside. As they began to pray,

I thought it was a good time to leave. I walked over there in

the woods and knelt down and I cried for about twenty minutes. I said,

God, I feel plump, guilty, phil plumb guilty. For two

years, it was all I could do to eat at a buffet, and

we struggle with pride. Look at our paycheck and say look what I did.

Look at my bank account. You don't even have to have great wealth

in order to be greedy. You can have nothing and still have the spirit

of greed. What I want to do here tonight is just say God,

I'm not going to be a credit crush. I want to thank you for

the breath of my body. I want to thank you for my wife.

I want to thank you for my children. I want to thank you for

our family. I want to thank you for the Bethel Church family. I'm

not going to take it for granted that I've been placed here. I can't

claim credit for what I didn't do. I got to give the credit to

that are overwhelming me, I can't one going. I realized that my old

self, I can't do anything. I realized God and said you, I

And as you feel it, which you come with thankfulness of great Jesus,

w you tell the Lord I can't do just without your Jesus. And I

didn't want to do it with you. I didn't want to do it for

me. I all a credit for the prods to the Lord. The pro

because he praised him talk to him. He wasn't Trump, he was a

fat Trump. Thank my Lord. I realized I can't make it with that

out you, Lord, I realized I can't do this without you. I
