Ignoring The Evidence (Empty Tombs Not Empty Talk) - Bro Jeremy Howell 9-4-2024

Twenty fourth chapter in the eleventh verse, Brother Nathaniel, Jeremiah

chapter number twenty nine and verse number thirteen. Brother Jesse,

John Chapter number twenty and verses number twenty.

Four through twenty nine.

Brother Jesse, you have several verses of scripture there to read.

We miss all of the home folks that were unable

to make it tonight due to circumstances.

That were just unavoidable.

Brother Jeremiah's so good to see you walk in and

a meeting and also had a delivery to make that

never happens that I know of on a Wednesday night.

But nonetheless you've made it in time for the preaching

praise the Lord.

So I'm glad you're in.

The house of the Lord again. We miss those that

are not here tonight. We miss each and every one

of them. How many of you missed them?

Do you miss them? Still? A great crowd, a great

group of people.

We love you tonight, Brother Nathaniel, you're in my chapter

number twenty nine and verse number thirteen. Please, my brother,

ye shall seek me and find me when ye shall

search for me with.

All your hearts.

Brother Nathaniel, you mean I have to do something to

find the Lord.

So the Lord is a god of action. But I

have to take action in.

Order to locate the God of action and get him

to take action and be involved in my life. That

is correct. We cannot be slothful soldiers. Sister Iwill told

sit on the sideline and do nothing.

The child of God always welcomes an opportunity to do something. Also,

that verse of scripture says, you can't do it half heartedly.

There's a song that has a lyric that goes like this,

ninety nine and a half.

Just won't do? You have to search for him with

all of your.

Being, Brother Jesse John, chapter number twenty, verses number twenty

four through twenty nine.

But Thomas, one of the twelve called Didimus, was not

with them when Jesus came.

The other disciples therefore set unto him.

We have seen the Lord that he said unto them,

except th see in his hands the print of the nails,

and put my finger into the front.

Of the nail, and thrust my hand into his side.

I will not believe now after eight days, after eight days,

again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them. Then

came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the

to Thomas, reach hither thy finger and behold my hands.

And reach hither thy hand and thrust it into my side,

and be not faithless but believing. And Thomas answered and said,

unto him, my Lord and my God, Jesus, saith under him, Thomas,

because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed.

Blessed are they have not seen and yet believe? Amen?

How many of you appreciate all of the examples that

we find in the Bible.

That's about ten of you, ten out of seventy.

How many of you appreciate all of the living examples

that we find in the Word of God. They're still

living because they received eternal life.

So this is not a fairy tale.

And in sight of this divine library between these two

leather binders are not idle tales.

Woke up early this morning with this verse of scripture

on my heart.

Let's stand to read Luke, chapter number twenty four, Verse

number eleven. I want to preach a sermon the Holy Ghost.

Title ignoring the evidence. Ignoring the evidence Luke chapter number

twenty four and verse number eleven, and the Bible said,

and their words seemed to them as idle tales, and

they believed them not. Let's pray, Heavenly Father, we love

and we praise you. We thank you for the opportunity

to be in the house of the Lord tonight. I

prayed God that you would anoint this thy servant. I

desperately need you. Would you help me.

To say the things that you would happy to say?

Nothing more less? Without you, we can do nothing. Lord.

Without your words, we will be ineffective in purpose and ministry. Tonight,

I pray that you would annot the ears of this

my people, that they might hear what the spirit of

God says unto the churches.

God, let them give the more earnest heed to the

things that they're here. I pray God, they.

Would not live in one ear and out the other.

I pray they would descend into that spirit.

Man.

Lord, let them saturate the spirit and the heart. God,

don't let them just go in one ear and out

to other world.

Turle in that mind, God, I pray, and get a

hold of this.

Maybe we depart this place joyfully and not sorrowfully in

Jesus's name, and the church sin Amen, as you're being seen.

And we'll read our text again.

Luke, chapter number twenty four, verse number eleven, the Bible said,

and their words seemed to them.

As idle tells, and they believe them not.

And I want you to remember that the ones that

were speaking these words that were almost impossible to believe

were Christians, people that fully believed that Jesus was the Christ,

the son of the Living God, and people that had

fully witnessed that he had rose from the dead. And

the people that were questioning the words that were being

spoken were also likewise professor and Christians. So that is

not a good situation when one professor Christian doubts another

professor and Christian's experience.

And I want to.

Preach a message the Holy Ghost titled Ignoring the Evidence.

Our text is found in a New Testament book of

the Holy Bible, the Gospel of Saint Luke.

The title bears the name of its author. Luke was

a doctor.

There is no doubt in my mind that he was

diligent in his medical practice business. According to the Sacred

writ he was beloved by his patients and by those

whom he crossed path with, Luke would have desired to

see everyone in great health physically and spiritually.

The Apostle Paul shared these sentiments.

You will remember that the Great Apostle Paul said in

one particular verse and passage of scripture that it was

his will to see everybody prospering and being in good health,

even as their soul prospering. So there's no doubt that

by trade, Luke and by occupation the position, would have

wanted to see everybody in great health physically. But because

of his conversion and him joining himself to the Great

Apostle Paul, and after interviewing the other Apostles, there's no

doubt that Luke desired to see people prospering spiritually as well.

And so, Brother Jeremiah, we know that this child of

God was not one to do anything haphazardly.

Otherwise he would not have received a five star review

in rating from his patients.

The sacred Word of God certainly would not record alive.

Without a doubt this man was of a loved physician.

He would have had good bedside manners. After my son

Jeremiah was delivered some thirty years ago, the nurses rushed

in and told Sister Howell and I that they felt

like they were in a meat market, not a hospital

because of the poor bedside manners of the physition that

was tending to Sister Howell and Brother Jeremiah. They encouraged

us to launch a lawsuit, one that we never launched.

But if you'll look at.

Brother Jeremiah's cheek, you will notice that in their haste

they cut him as they were trying to deliver him

from the stronghold of death and try to rescue him

as he was stuck there in the wound. They made

a mistake. Sister Howell knows it to be true. They blundered.

After some time, I believe it was about fifteen years later,

I ran into that doctor and I treated him very

kindly and I thanked him for his time, although I

was impressed at all with his service. And back then

people weren't rating things, they weren't giving reviews online.

But if I was to give him a review tonight, I.

Would give him a zero out of five review and rating.

There might be other people that would give him a

five star review in rating because he perhaps didn't act

in the same manner with them that he did that night.

I remember he.

Asked the question that I believed had a lot to

do with him going from a natural birth to a

Sceirian section. He said, you have good insurance, don't you?

And I remember thinking that was a wonderful thing. And

I answered that question with the biggest smile on my

face that I said I do. And suddenly, Brother Jeremiah,

things took a turn for the worst. And back then

a natural birth was about half the price, half the

cost of a Sinceyrian birth, and it was evident to

the nurses that he knew he had to operate quickly

in order to keep that child from being born or

delivered naturally. And so the consequences of his accident and

his mistakes are upon Brother Jeremiah's face today. I would

say his parents and his wife only know of such

a scar. But doctor Luke would not have been one

to leave a blood trail behind him, Brother Nathaniel, Doctor

Luke would not have been one to leave blood behind him.

He would have wanted his record to be clean.

He would not have wanted it to be tarnished as

stained by the tears of his patience because of medical practice.

Malpractice is a serious offense, and it can lead to death.

How man if he woke up this morning to a

horrible headline? I woke up this morning to an outstanding

outlandish headline. It read like this Florida surgeon accused of

removing man's liver instead of his sleen. I remember wiping

the sleep out of my eyes, and I said, what now?

What happened? How could that happen?

How does something like that happen in a field of excellence,

among those who vow to put others' health and safety first.

How could such a responsible man be so irresponsible even.

Though he's blessing blood.

How could such a highly educated man make such a

dumb mistake?

You see, the man the patient.

Died on the operating table while the surgeon was prison

Let me ask us a question. How many people have

died under the seemingly watchful.

Eye of dad, mama and a pastor.

I must admit that I've witnessed some died on the

operating table, Some have died while faithfully attending church services.

Some have died right in their own parents' house.

I've heard parents say before I ignored the warning signs

of impending damnation and doom. I had no idea that

destruction was just around the corner. The evidence was there.

Just a couple of days ago, a Norththorpe Myers young woman.

She walked out of her house without her shoes. She

was last seen approaching the Edison Bridge, and they put

out the red alert and the alarm saying she is missing,

something has went wrong, something is amiss, and sister moot

and I knew then is not going going to end well.

After three or four days, they found her corpse, her

lifeless body floating in the Calusa hatching over there, not

too far from the Edison Bridge. Upon further research, they

said the girl had been hearing deep bonding voices in

her head, and they said she just couldn't take it.

Anymore and apparently had ended her life.

The law enforcement officer said, we do not suspect bouth playing.

A lot of times when we feel like foul.

Play must certainly be involved, they have emvidence that says otherwise.

Perhaps they've found a letter and they do not want

to disclose the contents and the writings on such a letter.

Perhaps as to how they found some post on her

social media page that they wanted to remove and make

sure nobody saw it. But there's people that even though

the emvidence is there, they choose to ignore it. Just

like the pastor this morning, I knew that such a

learned man should not be capable of committing such a mistake.

How could that happen?

I want you to know here tonight that there are

people pointing fingers right now. There's some people saying, certainly

one of them surgical nurses distracted him, while others are

saying somebody plagged the wrong organ. But how can a

man that has literally majored in the anatomy of the

human body not differentiate between the liver and the spleet?

How could he do that?

And so when you hear reports such as this that

a man right here in Naples, Florida, had liver removed

instead of a spleen and a doctor cut a vital artery,

you shake your head and say, no head.

As Donald Trump would say, this is the faith of news.

And I'm not going to turn sideways right there and

go on a ten minute rampage about faith news.

I had determined I wouldn't even mention that term.

The idle tales out of tales. I would say, that's

empty talk. There's nothing to that at all.

Somebody has not done the research.

This might be an error by artificial intelligence that has

wrote such an article.

I thought, truly, on the heels of such an article,

there would be a lawyer picking up a phone that's

written in some editor or some journalists for this kind

of falsity. But brother Nathaniel, know they're saying now that

somehow that man.

Made a mistake. It was not an out of tail.

I want you to remember our text here tonight.

The Bible said, and the words seem to them as

out of tales, and they believed them.

No, I did not want to believe the words of

such an article because I could not believe it possible

that a man of such caliper and capacity would do

such a horrible thing to a human being, No doubt accidentally,

once he encountered Christ after that personal experience, he was

convinced the problem was he had a problem with people's

personal reports. I'm not gonna trust what you're saying. I'm

going to experience for myself. And my point is I'm

trying to make a hero out of Thomas here. Laterly

he's become one of my favorite apostles because what he

was saying is, I'm not going to operate on Mama

or Daddy's third tail and coattail. I want to get

this experience from myself, the one over something of your head.
