  1. For the Lord for his presence that we feel.

  2. Appreciate my pastor all that he says and does. I

  3. appreciate this exhortation that we've had tonight. You know, I

  4. was thinking before church.

  5. It feels it feels a little bit like fall out there,

  6. and it's been a while since it's got my fall.

  7. It feels like fall out there, and it feels like revival.

  8. And yeah, hey, man, I appreciate the power of God.

  9. I appreciate the spear of God, appreciate this opportunity to preach.

  10. The Lord lay this message on my heart.

  11. I was coming back home from work, I believe it

  12. was last Friday, and I didn't know.

  13. I'd appreciate tonight, but the Lord to give me this.

  14. And then after that, after a pastor had asked me

  15. or had let me know to be ready, I went

  16. back to prayer just to make sure, just to double

  17. check make sure that that this was the time to

  18. priest this message. And and I've got liberty for it.

  19. So we're gonna preach here tonight out of the Book

  20. of Ruth. We're gonna look here in the book of

  21. the first chapter of Ruth.

  22. We're looking for the Lord to help us here tonight.

  23. So thankful again for this.

  24. Opportunity to preach for my pastor in the Bethel Church.

  25. Love and appreciate each one, So thankful for this revival

  26. that we've had. I want to be a help and

  27. and encouragement here tonight to somebody. Look at Ruth chapter

  28. number one.

  29. Stand here for the reverence of the reading of God's Word.

  30. We're gonna start in six.

  31. Then she arose with her daughters in law, that she

  32. might return from the country of Moab. For she had

  33. heard in the country of Moab how that the Lord

  34. had visited his people in giving them bread. Wherefore she

  35. went forth out of the place where she was, and

  36. her two daughters in law with her. Sounds like Naomi

  37. got tired of got tired of being in Moab, right.

  38. Looks like Naomi got tired of being in that pagan place.

  39. Don't it reading seven again? Wherefore she went forth out

  40. of the place where she was, and her two daughters

  41. in law with her, and they.

  42. Went on the way to return unto the land of Judah.

  43. Look at verse number fifteen, and she said, behold, thy

  44. sister in law is gone back.

  45. What do you mean your sister in law is gone back.

  46. We just read.

  47. That that the three of them were headed for Judah.

  48. They were headed for Bethlehem, and she set behold, thy

  49. sister in law has turned, is gone back onto her people,

  50. and unto her gods. Return now after thy sister in law. Well,

  51. of course number nineteen. It's so, they too went until

  52. they came to Bethlehem. And it came to pass when

  53. they were coming to Bethlehem that all the city was

  54. moved about them.

  55. And they said, is this Naomi.

  56. I want to preach here tonight for just a few minutes,

  57. that the Lord will stand by me help me here.

  58. I want to preach on a fork in the road.

  59. There's a decision to be made. There's a decision to

  60. be made for each and every heart here tonight, which

  61. you left to haim into heaven.

  62. Ask God to help us. Thank you for your mercy.

  63. We thank you for your.

  64. Grace and kindness.

  65. God.

  66. We thank you for how you've met with us here

  67. in the service thus far.

  68. God, we thank you for the word i've encouragement Lord

  69. from our pastor. Lord, we ask that you would help

  70. us to keep that in our hearts and.

  71. In our minds.

  72. Lord, that we would go forward to repentance God, that

  73. we would go forward to the blessing of God. Lord,

  74. would you be with us here tonight, which you anoint

  75. my lips of claim? God, would you send a rest

  76. touch here tonight, Lord annoyed the years of the people. God,

  77. let me say only the things that you would have

  78. me to say, nothing more, nothing less.

  79. Lord be with us.

  80. Here this time.

  81. We pray we'll give it glory and praise in Jesus

  82. wonderful name.

  83. And Amen, I want to deal here with with.

  84. For a few moments of time on the matter of

  85. morpless missed opportunity.

  86. Tonight we're gonna.

  87. Walk down the path and we're gonna turning with a

  88. Limolech and Naomi.

  89. As they leave Beth with him and they go to

  90. mo Heve, and then we're.

  91. Gonna travel back with Naomi and Ruth back from Mohaven.

  92. Back to the land of Judeo.

  93. We gotta shoe path that the Lord laid on my

  94. heart that we're gonna stop him, and we're gonna walk.

  95. Down as we travel this road here tonight.

  96. The Book of Ruth and the Story of Sadness and Happiness.

  97. The Book of Ruth and the Story of Great trouble

  98. and great triumph. It's a story of.

  99. Great loss, but also a story of great game. It's

  100. a story of death and the story of life, the

  101. new birth. It's a story of famine, and it's the

  102. story of a time of plenty. It's the story of

  103. a moral fall. It's a story of a story of

  104. a libex fall, a libin ex poor decision. But it's

  105. a story of Naomi's redemption. It's a story of a

  106. young woman that finally got tired of where she was

  107. living and said, where you go, I'll go. It's the

  108. story of Naomi's redemption, and it's a story of redemption.

  109. It's the infamous.

  110. Story of a man named Elimelet and his wife nay

  111. Ow me and their two sons and their wives are

  112. putting ruth. We all know the story very well, and

  113. I want to look at it here tonight. The Bible

  114. is a living word. Every time you read it. You

  115. can read the same scripture every day and it feels

  116. just alive as it's ever been.

  117. We've heard the story.

  118. But I want to I want to rehearse it in

  119. your hearing and in your remembrance. Here tonight, iliminate leaves

  120. Bethlehem Judah to the soul turning the land of Bohell

  121. because of famine was in the land. But his soul

  122. turning became his story. His leaving became his legacy. He

  123. took his wife, and he took his two sons in

  124. the name of bettering them, in the name of preserving lives,

  125. and in the name of making them to be better.

  126. Off than where they was.

  127. The guys we for a a Limolex was preserving them.

  128. But somehow he ends up losing his life.

  129. It ends up the son of his sons losing their life,

  130. and they died in a lamb that was supposed to

  131. bring great It was supposed to bring great subsistence for them.

  132. It was supposed to preserve him, but it became a

  133. course to them.

  134. I supposed that Moab had a plenty enough, had plenty

  135. enough to eat and despair, and at a distance.

  136. It looked like a good option for sustenance.

  137. And some people that praised the limed for going the distance.

  138. For the Bible said that we should all that we.

  139. Should take care of those that we have under our rule,

  140. and those that provide not for their sale for their

  141. own is worse than an Infidelso you can look at

  142. a Limolex's life and say, well, wasn't he preserving his family?

  143. But wasn't he going to Mobab to get away from

  144. a family?

  145. Wasn't he going for a better cause?

  146. But there was deceit in the heart of the living

  147. that I believed God to some His motives were pure

  148. and noble, and he was gul, traveling a great distance

  149. and even crossing the Jordan River to provide for his family.

  150. But when I tell you about crossing the Jordan River,

  151. what do you think of?

  152. I'll tell you what came to mind. And I thought

  153. about the Jordan River.

  154. It was whenever I heard that Rubin in Gad lived

  155. on the other side of Jordan, whenever I heard that

  156. the head tribe of Manassa lived on the others.

  157. Not only was no app on the other side, but

  158. Gad was over there. His brother Groover was over there,

  159. his brother. Why did he go to the land of

  160. his brother?

  161. Because his motives were not as pure as everybody thought

  162. they were, because the reason for leaving was not exactly

  163. what it seemed.

  164. I went to the land of proven He could have

  165. went and seen that they were neighbors to boat.

  166. Alivelex responsibility, if you will. His grocery bill was only

  167. for four people. He wasn't providing for.

  168. A great army.

  169. He didn't have.

  170. A bunch of people depending on him.

  171. For whenever he talked put to preserve those.

  172. That he was depending on him. He only took three

  173. souls with him.

  174. You know.

  175. In the Book of Judonomy, chapter number fifteen, Moses commanded

  176. Moses commanded the people. By God, he says, for the

  177. poor shall never cease out of the land. Therefore I

  178. command these thing, thou shalt open thy hand wide unto

  179. thy brother, to the poor right and to the needy

  180. in the land. That was the command by God for

  181. the Israelites to help.

  182. On another out.

  183. If the liver that would have needed help, his brothers

  184. would have helped it. If the liberal would have asked

  185. for help, his brother would have opened their hand. Because

  186. that's the way I told him to be, and that's

  187. the way they were. Because Ruben and Gad said, we're

  188. gonna settle here, but we will not fail to fighting

  189. the battle with Bruven and Gas half their brothers back.

  190. Ruben and Gall would have taken care of him, but

  191. he chose to don't pass proven, he chose to don't

  192. pass gap and go in to Moland. In running from

  193. a physical famine, the liber that runs straight and headlong

  194. into a famine of spirit. He runs headlong into a

  195. place where his sons would become wedded to daughters of

  196. a pagan land. He ran headlong into.

  197. To a place where the only thing that his sons

  198. could find. When some woman been.

  199. Over an idol somewhere, I thought you were bettering them.

  200. I thought you were taking to getting away from the family.

  201. But I didn't know he was taking up to get

  202. them off. They they even lose their soul. God Naoi,

  203. Maylon and Chilion, the sons of a libele Ed settle

  204. in the land of Moem. After Aliblet died, Alibleg went

  205. to soldier. His family went to settle right. I don't

  206. think Thelimelech planned on them settler, but they But he

  207. died before they escaped. He died before he could save

  208. his sons from taking wives, for they took the wives

  209. after Oliverlet died. They didn't marry until until Olmlet die,

  210. so he died before he could preserve his own right.

  211. They became interstwined by.

  212. Marriage to the Moabites, which were notorious idol worshipers. If

  213. Alimle would have had grandchildren, they would have only knew

  214. the lifestyle of the Pagans. They would have only remembered

  215. growing up in Mohab and hearing Grandma may only stories

  216. about the house of Bread. All they would have heard

  217. was stories about how it used to be, how Grandma

  218. used to do it. All we call Dad took them

  219. out of the land of bread, we called them death,

  220. took them out of the land of Tudah and took

  221. them to Mohaw. They would have heard stories from their

  222. grandma about the You know, this was in the days

  223. when the judges ruled, so they would have heard Grandma's

  224. great stories of how God uses the man to raise

  225. them up like idiot, how God used men like Sampson

  226. to raise up and save them.

  227. And all they would have heard was stories.

  228. They would have heard Grandma's stories, and then they would

  229. have went and found him a piece of wood somewhere

  230. to bow down and pray the Mama's God. Because of

  231. limit that went to soldier just to spend a little time,

  232. just a quick little trip, just to go see the lamb,

  233. just to go see what Moabs had Leviniicus twenty nine,

  234. twenty six, and nineteen.

  235. Yeah, I want to look right here. Levinicus twenty six,

  236. in verse number nineteen.

  237. Says, and I will break the pride of your power,

  238. and I will make your heaven as iron.

  239. And your earth is brass. What does that mean? What

  240. does it mean?

  241. When I'm gonna make the heaven as brass? That means

  242. he's gonna shut.

  243. Off the rain.

  244. What happens when you shut off the rain? Right, famine man,

  245. your strength shall be spit.

  246. In vain twenty For your land shall not.

  247. Yield her increase, neither shall the trees of the land

  248. yield their fruits.

  249. What's that sound like to you? Sounds like a famine?

  250. To me, sounds like God huts up the heavens and

  251. the crop begin to die. A promise of famine is

  252. recorded for disobedience.

  253. H A famine was used at.

  254. Times throughout the Bible as a form of.

  255. A form of punishment.

  256. Right. It was a form of God's corrective hand up

  257. on the children of Israel. A little that tries to

  258. escape the famine that is brought upon by God, but

  259. he finds himself in worse shape. He finds himself in

  260. worse shape than if he were the state hunker down

  261. there in the land of Judah and waited for the

  262. rain will come again. History proves to us with no

  263. doubts that he lived, that he left his family in

  264. the worst condition.

  265. Than they were.

  266. Recall, let me, let me, let me show you something

  267. that the Lord pointed out to me.

  268. Naomi admitted later on.

  269. When we left, we were full, hollow me down. I

  270. was fool, I thought you mean of family. Yeah, but

  271. I was fool.

  272. I had plenty, I was I was living with with

  273. cos people.

  274. I had plenty.

  275. I was full. I had nothing to complete about.

  276. But now I'm coming back from O.

  277. Now I'm coming back from the land that somebody took me.

  278. And they said I was going to be better at all,

  279. and they said I was going to provide better.

  280. They said it was a better opportunity.

  281. But the truth that out where you are, Arnomi, you're

  282. in me.

  283. Where was you liver?

  284. Fool?

  285. Once?

  286. You better in suiting, when you were fool and you

  287. were heavy? Oh God, or you better now.

  288. Whenever you've made that decision that liberate me, and you've

  289. lasted that place that God caught you too, and you've

  290. headed towards moball.

  291. Now you're coming home empty. I don't really.

  292. Believe that alima A handed as better as he acted

  293. like he did. But he still chooses to take those

  294. that God had trusted him with him to leave town.

  295. He left the place that God had given to his forefathers.

  296. He left the promise of God. He left the inheritance

  297. of God.

  298. For a pagan land.

  299. God had gifted this people this land they inherited, the

  300. land in which they dwelve. And alliminate was so discontented

  301. and unstable, I said, illiminate was so discontented.

  302. And not stable. Then he left it all behind at

  303. the first sight of Tanner.

  304. After first time the thing they're going allan, I'll just

  305. said them all they will see you, and that I'll

  306. just thrown out.

  307. Of the wind all your things tell off and the

  308. sound of dust.

  309. Yeah, you'll come back empty, I'll play, you'll come back into.

  310. Where was the lid?

  311. That's faith that the very God that gave him the

  312. lamb could provided the lamb?

  313. Where was the liver?

  314. Nex Flaim when he heard the story about how God

  315. made the walls from lamb.

  316. So that they can have that lamb, so that they

  317. can have it. That lamb where brothers faith. Now, when

  318. the little.

  319. Family came out, he takes up the fem gets our

  320. hen because of my little latter, the God that gave

  321. him the land was doubtless able to provide him with

  322. food and water to sustain them.

  323. The God that created water.

  324. Right right, The God that created food, the God.

  325. That created bread.

  326. And gave him the land can't provide The God that

  327. made you hungry, right, the very God that gave you

  328. a thirst, he can't feel you.

  329. He can't feel that hunger.

  330. It's one thing to leave place like Moab and the

  331. tracks to Judah. Amen, we've got a few families here

  332. and one, oh, my pastor was the first one. I said,

  333. it's one thing to leave mo Ab. It sets your

  334. face like a flint for Judah.

  335. Why a down the thing? Whatever you take, Judah, can't

  336. you take.

  337. The blessing that thought of the thing that God tell

  338. you and he brought it through the lem and you

  339. ain't try for boy I put a little that now.

  340. He thought it all away?

  341. Will you throw away?

  342. Will you take?

  343. Will you kid's gone in the places and walk away

  344. on Judahs. You know Jesus had an opportunity. Juda's had

  345. the same opportunity that Peter did it or was having

  346. a the same opportunity Ruth did.

  347. Judas had the same opportunity to lay his head. Poor Christ.

  348. That John did well what he do He gave him

  349. a kiss and a simple kiss.

  350. Leaving Moab means you leave paganism in idle worship and

  351. things that God don't agree with, and the places if

  352. God don't want you to be at the things.

  353. That God I wants you to do and worship to

  354. want true God.

  355. That's what leaving Momab will do for you. That's what's

  356. getting tired of MoMA will do for you. When a

  357. man sits out from Judah and he sets his face

  358. for Moabb, so says a living that did you can

  359. expect we received nothing less than a liberal received. You

  360. can expect to receive nothing less. They are literally suceived horden.

  361. Pain, misery.

  362. You don't think that was miserable. You don't think he

  363. was miserable with melon. Shiyak came up and said, then

  364. what are they doing over there at that mais of stone?

  365. And he had to sit there and explaining them, Well,

  366. they think that's God literally had.

  367. That conversation with his children.

  368. What are they doing over there that they it all

  369. the nights that was of tree of me last time?

  370. They think that's good. That's what they do instead of worse.

  371. A finger creator of the world. Good things you live

  372. that enjoy?

  373. No al.

  374. You think you're gonna enjoy my alp. I feel the

  375. power of God in this place.

  376. You ain't gonna enjoy what you think you will. You

  377. won't preserve your family. Why to thank you?

  378. You don't prefor your did you won't retard your family?

  379. To thank you?

  380. Will a living that time in Mo, in pain, in Mo,

  381. shorn of God.

  382. Have no place in more but try to God. Here's

  383. your business going to Buehou to say what did can hell?

  384. You'll have to be up here, bull, have to be

  385. right here.

  386. You said it in your heart. You said you in

  387. your mind to go to Bayhouse. Your body can stay

  388. right here, but till mind to be a million and

  389. dolls away. Oliver, he is mine first, Olivia tell me

  390. his heart first. Before he had approached the subject from

  391. the older, I said.

  392. Before he had told me, I think you around.

  393. You're doing aim to see it. You don't think of

  394. anybody wrong.

  395. Now you are thinking.

  396. Any Nay, no.

  397. Fourn around a little bit.

  398. Didn't hear your heart, didn't hear you?

  399. You'll think that what you think of you.

  400. I feel the power of God in this place to

  401. turns the books around.

  402. God can change some heart in this heart.

  403. Oh God, God, Oh my God.

  404. They're gonna be heard about the visitation of the Lord.

  405. To his people.

  406. Her mind was flooding, no doubt with bories but the

  407. blessings of God. And she remembered the way it used

  408. to be. She remembered the way God used to figure

  409. his people. Let me tell you the difference. In Naomi,

  410. the Bible says she arose when she heard that God

  411. did visited his people.

  412. She arose.

  413. She said a little that you brought me here, you

  414. brought my sons here. But I had just about all

  415. I could take of this. I'm sick and tired of this.

  416. I'm sick and tired of the vexation that I'm receiving.

  417. She gets up from where she was and she said,

  418. her face towards you done. She made her heart up,

  419. She made her mind up. Now where are you lead me?

  420. I will follow away? Where do you want me? That

  421. word me?

  422. Where do you feed me.

  423. They only was such a woman and made home sounds

  424. so nice. She made Beth in my hand sound.

  425. So good, sound like such a place that she want

  426. to be. Both of her daughter, last sit man they

  427. own that short does sound good. Oh, that sounds so good.

  428. You're talking about how God helps you home, how God

  429. would visit you, how he would give you a plentiful harvens.

  430. And they only said yeah. And they told me that's

  431. a harvest right now, like you ain't gone, I say, ruth.

  432. They told me that's going like I ain't ever prove before.

  433. The wheels are white with harvests right now. However, we

  434. can don't see what I mean telling you about. If

  435. you make that chargement in your eyes, we'll be holding.

  436. Of cose.

  437. We read it verse number seven, that they did just that.

  438. The three of them went on their way to Judah.

  439. Wherefore she went forth down on the place where she was.

  440. She got out of Moell.

  441. She got tired of Mohel, and her two daughters in

  442. law with her, and they went on the way to

  443. return to the.

  444. Land of Judah.

  445. That said two daughters in laws, that was both of them.

  446. Both of them set out on that road to Judah.

  447. Both of them.

  448. Joined hand in hand right with a smiley face. But

  449. wasn't a smile of heart? Wasn't it just a face?

  450. Was or Put just a I'm glad to go in

  451. or put really have it in her heart like Ruth did.

  452. It?

  453. Or really want to make the journey. They all packed

  454. their belongings, all three of them. Or Put went through

  455. all that. She packed it up.

  456. She went and gave him mama hugs, gave her a

  457. kids said Mama, I'm really gonna do it. God, I'm

  458. really going with Naoi God, I really want to make

  459. that journey. I'm really go wanna make things right. God,

  460. I'm really gonna creek this vice. I'm gonna go all

  461. the way, no looking back, the world behind me and

  462. the cross before me. Ruth had the same conversation, Hey, Mom,

  463. they only going back to Judiah and I say about

  464. the or Mam stort A Crime said, Nay, Ruth, you're

  465. going away with the RASU. Yeah, Ruth, you're gonna make

  466. that journeyation. Ruth said, yes, ma'am.

  467. I got my eyes set on the prize. I know

  468. what kind of woman they Oni is. I've seen the

  469. blessing of God throughout her life, and you know I'm

  470. gonna make that train. You know I'm gonna make that.

  471. They turned their backs, and they had to choose the

  472. whole three of them, one happy family. Can't wait to

  473. see what God's gonna do, can't wait to see how

  474. God's gonna bless us. I believe Naomi was excited. What's

  475. want to know how I feel? I feel like Naomi

  476. knew someone wants support.

  477. That one right. I feel like na only knew that

  478. someone's heart wasn't in it. She asked three times, Yeah, return,

  479. turn again the third time for or point that.

  480. Order was given.

  481. Just the right opportunity, just.

  482. The right encouragement, just the right word of wisdom.

  483. You're looking for it, you'll.

  484. Get it.

  485. If you can be convinced, you'll be convinced.

  486. Now.

  487. They always said, turn around, go back to your mother's

  488. both of you. One comment, Taylor.

  489. Said, ny Y didn't want them to say you made

  490. me go them.

  491. You forced me to go.

  492. They only enforced nobody to go. God ain't never forced anybody. No,

  493. God ain't forced nobody. But he stands here with an

  494. open arms.

  495. That who's soever on you. They come, come without money,

  496. come without price.

  497. They set out for Judah. All three of them three

  498. set out for Judah and to a ride.

  499. What happened.

  500. It worse the number seven. Everyone was happy about where

  501. they were headed.

  502. Everybody was happy about the destination that God had directed

  503. them to. But by verse nineteen were short one. By

  504. the time we get down to verse nineteen, we're missing

  505. a traveler. What's happening between verse seven and verse nineteen.

  506. Verse nineteen, they make their interests and Ruth lays her

  507. eyes on the harvest.

  508. That Naomi had always talked about. Ruth.

  509. Ruth laid her eyes on the very essence of Naomi's dreams.

  510. Ruth seemed a promise that Naomi had told her about.

  511. Where's that one? Where's lava? Where he had are? But

  512. these promises are too.

  513. This promise is to Orpah as well as Ruth. This

  514. opportunity extended to.

  515. Harpa as well as Ruth Amen.

  516. But Orba was given just the right opportunity. Naomi said

  517. just what she was looking for. She was looking just

  518. the excuse, and she heard just the words that she

  519. wanted to hear. Naomi says three times, turned back, go

  520. to your mama, And after the third time, Warpa turns

  521. back and she leaves na Hobie. There came in fork

  522. in the road. Yeah, there came a decision to be made.

  523. Became a choice to be made, a choice to leave

  524. everything I learned, everything I know, and go.

  525. With the plan of God, or a choice to not

  526. let go of those old.

  527. Things, a choice to not let go of mommy and

  528. Daddy's idols, not to let go of those things that

  529. I've been up down.

  530. To for so long.

  531. There was a choice to be made, and a different

  532. choice for each was made.

  533. Or we gave Naomi and goodbye forever kids. Or if

  534. we would never make that journey to back with him,

  535. Orph would never go see your mother in law in

  536. the land of Promise, Orpe would never make that track

  537. that Ruth chose to me, or Pra would never hold

  538. oh Bed, Orph would never hold the grandfather of the

  539. beloved King of Israel, King David. Why because of a

  540. choice quite one, quite possibly one of the most famous

  541. talk kings in pastimes and present times. Orpa could have

  542. held in her hands, Orpa could have held that baby. Hey, Homed,

  543. this isn't in Orba.

  544. You don't know where God brought us from. Oh Man,

  545. God does something good for me and your mom.

  546. We don't deserve what he'd done for us, but we're

  547. so thankful that he did. We're so thankful for the

  548. harvest that we see.

  549. Let him go before we let go of with the

  550. best decision that we ever made. Or pull walks off

  551. the pages of scripture with the kids that I love you,

  552. but I refuse to go all the way, letting only

  553. thank you for all that you've done, but I can't

  554. do that right.

  555. Thank you for all the things.

  556. That you've taught us. Hell, you've taught us how to

  557. make bread. You don't taste the same, but the rest

  558. of pace the same.

  559. You taught us how to get in there, it work,

  560. to get there and make that bread that was so

  561. precious in the land of Judah. That is the man

  562. we will have no idea of in mobile. I appreciate that,

  563. and you forever live in my heart, but I won't

  564. make that truth of you.

  565. God. Here's where it stops. Here's where I draw a line.

  566. I come this far and I won't go further God.

  567. Or walks off scripture, refusing to adopt the lifestyle of Nahomi.

  568. I want you to look at something. We read this

  569. in our text first number fifteen, or Naomi says, and

  570. she says, speaking of Naomi.

  571. Behold, thy sister in law's gone back onto the people

  572. and to her gods.

  573. How said is that Naomi knew what she was going

  574. back for. Naomi didn't say she just can't leave her mama.

  575. She didn't say she can't.

  576. Leave her dady, her and her siblings. And she had

  577. an She says, she's going back to those gods.

  578. She's going back to those.

  579. Things that we always knew. She never really got consecrated,

  580. those things that she knew, she never really got them

  581. under the blood, those things that she thought she had

  582. everyone food. But Naomi knew what was in here. Nay

  583. only knew those gods still reigned supreme.

  584. You honored me with her mouth, right, but your heart

  585. it's far from me. Or put honored Naomi.

  586. I'm going we're on the journey together. I don't know

  587. how far down the road that made it. I don't

  588. know how far or pollen, but she stopped short. They

  589. Amy said she went back to her gods. She went

  590. back to those things that she thought she had got

  591. rid of.

  592. She got she went back to.

  593. Those old hindrances and those old vices I passed her,

  594. talked to us those things that's the devil do worked

  595. for from that same thing that the devil had been

  596. throwing the harbor for years.

  597. She went back to it.

  598. She went back to the accursed. She went back to

  599. that thing that was a detriment to her school. We

  600. hear no more about the woman that once stood shoulder

  601. to shoulder with the two women that seen the providential

  602. hand of God their lives. Did God have a man

  603. for Orpu? Did God have a bow ass for or Absolutely?

  604. Did God have a plan for Arpa?

  605. Absolutely he did. They were given equal opportunity.

  606. What God did for Ruth he would have done for Orphah.

  607. God gave Ruth the son, He would have visited Orpha

  608. with a son, I believe it.

  609. Who's to say that Orba couldn't have been the mother

  610. of old men? She could have been.

  611. She could have been the one that held that baby

  612. and said, the Almighty visited me. Well, what happened Orpah?

  613. Only in so far?

  614. I wonder what she did after she went back. I'm

  615. sure her mother was happy to see her. Oh, Horb,

  616. I'm so glad you came back.

  617. I'm so glad that.

  618. You came back from you.

  619. You couldn't leave us, bring the fat a calf? How

  620. I port invite all the friends and nothing one's back.

  621. Or Pa came home, no r but didn't come home

  622. or put it back?

  623. Yeah, right, she didn't go home, she went back. We

  624. will never know what happened to Orba.

  625. Because she shut the door and God locked it. She

  626. shut the door and God turned a lot. Right, don't

  627. let God turn the lock tonight.

  628. If you shut the door. One day you shut it,

  629. you'll hear that lock.

  630. ORPA's opportunity, Jesse's opportunity, Phillips opportunity, Caleb's opportunity, Tyler's opportunity.

  631. All right, what will you do with your opportunity? What

  632. will you do at the fork in the road, Because

  633. there will.

  634. Cut one that will come opportunity for your standing the fort?

  635. Let sell?

  636. Which way do I go?

  637. Any? Weigh it out, h Ruth with the woman of God.

  638. Will you go with the pool of God?

  639. Yeah?

  640. Will you go with the plan of God? There was

  641. something in moment that four book could not turn. Turn

  642. go of, let go of friends, family, God's habits, ways

  643. of life, traditions.

  644. What was it?

  645. You fill in the.

  646. Blank with your situation. Yeah, why did Orpa go back?

  647. What was the true reason?

  648. We knew?

  649. Now you always said it was because of the godliness?

  650. Now you always said she went back to the gods.

  651. I don't really know. God don't give us the res

  652. Maybe that's because he wants us to look at it

  653. and apply it to our lives.

  654. Don't miss the opportunity that God has put right in

  655. front of your face.

  656. Because you can't let go of what you used to have.

  657. Or I couldn't go to that place that oh they

  658. only was going because all she could think about was

  659. how it used to be.

  660. And what she used to have.

  661. Now only spoke three times, he wore but and she

  662. went back. I don't know how far she made it

  663. down that road, but it.

  664. Wasn't far enough. Yn't stop short.

  665. If God's laid a path for you, and God's lead

  666. a planning for you like he did or putting Ruth,

  667. don't stop short. God has set you in a path,

  668. and you know God spoke to you. Why don'hould following

  669. to the promise, follow the path to the promise. Orpah

  670. couldn't see the promise right away. Ruth couldn't see the

  671. promise right away. But she kept home to that promise.

  672. She kept picking up those hand fools that Boa asked

  673. left for her, and pretty soon she owned the field.

  674. Right, bow Ass said, levers hating fools leave her just

  675. a little bit to grab here and there and turning up.

  676. God that Ruth, I seen you picking all those cute

  677. Here was a court that them reapers lis for you.

  678. How about the whole field? She inherited everything bow As happened.

  679. Bow As married that woman. Well, she used to glean

  680. end now's with hers.

  681. It was hers the home. Boas was a great man,

  682. boe Ass on the black in that land. He was

  683. a great man in that land.

  684. Ruth inherited every bit of it because she went with

  685. the promise of God. Because she went with.

  686. The plan of God.

  687. Naomi said to Ruth the fourth.

  688. Time, return thou after thy sister in law. And after

  689. the fourth time we hear the infamous words of Ruth,

  690. we hear the infamous anthem of Ruth. Everybody knows Ruth

  691. Bond's words. They're precious. Ruth said, and.

  692. Strict me not to leave thee or to return from.

  693. Following after thee. For whither thou goest, I will go

  694. and where thou want just, I will watch you. Thy

  695. people shall be my people, and.

  696. Thy God my God. Where thou diest will I die,

  697. and there will I be there? The Lord do so

  698. to me. And more Also, if all but death part us,

  699. if all but death part Thee and Me Verse eighteen.

  700. And na only seen the the determination, and she's seen

  701. the resolve in Ruth's eyes. The Bible said that, and

  702. Naomi left speaking. Ruth hadn't said on it here, and

  703. Naomi seen it.

  704. The Bible said Ruth. Naomi left speaking to Ruth. That's

  705. the words she left speaking to Ruth. You think that

  706. means they had a silent journey to Judah, Absolutely notable.

  707. Naomi told her every story she'd ever heard, every stories

  708. she ever mad, daughter, Ang, it's going to be great.

  709. So if they were in a good conversation on the

  710. way to the Promised Land, what does the Bible mean

  711. she left off speaking.

  712. I mean she brought up.

  713. Ruth returning pat no more, pastor that she hadn't settled.

  714. Ruth hadn't settled, and they only didn't have to worry

  715. about didn't go.

  716. Nao, He wasn't worried about Ruth anymore? Like she was horrible.

  717. Let me tell you tonight, you can have the same

  718. testimony as Ruth. Time is not too late yet. When

  719. you have something settled in your heart, those around you

  720. would vote.

  721. They don't realize that talking you out of the willow

  722. Goddess No on the rip option.

  723. I worked with an evident gentleman named mister Terry. Terry

  724. was a really cool man.

  725. I guess he was about seventy five years old. And

  726. you know how some of them old timers AFRD. I love.

  727. I love talking to mister Terry. He tell the same

  728. stories every day. Every day he tell the same story

  729. from one.

  730. Of my coworkers got tired of it. I didn't mind it,

  731. but he got tired of it.

  732. So when mister Terry be didn't talking to him, he

  733. did it about five times mister Terry and started off

  734. on the same story, and that man in turn and

  735. start talking to somebody. It was mister Terry would wait

  736. a minute, and once that co worker got done, he

  737. did it on purpose. He turned back and he looked

  738. at Terry and his room would go quiet, and mister

  739. Terry start on that same story. He last three weeks,

  740. my co worker returned begin talking to someone else. Mister

  741. Terry did that for about five five times. Finally, mister

  742. Terry said, I was sitting across from him. He said,

  743. we just talk to my hand. Then that's funny, ain't it.

  744. Mister Terry realized they didn't want to hear what I

  745. had to say. Mister Terry realized they're not listening it

  746. to a word I said.

  747. Ruth had sailed.

  748. Now on he knew, I'm just blowing hot hair trying

  749. to commit Rude to leave you.

  750. I'm just wasting my last time to get Ruth to

  751. turn around. Oh want to God, that's some Norman the pastor.

  752. I ain't worried about Ruth. I'm not worrying about Tier, right,

  753. I'm not worried about them.

  754. That case, Amen, it was useless to try to continue talking,

  755. because it would fall upon deaf ears.

  756. Would to God someone have some death here to the devil? Here? Amen,

  757. would to God someone would turn the deaf ear to

  758. the plan for the devil.

  759. Though pretty they sing, though beautiful they sin, they seem

  760. as beautiful to you as mo Ap did to a limletter.

  761. They seem as beautiful to you as Moa did.

  762. Or they only new.

  763. Ruth had her face set like a flip ft you.

  764. There was no chance.

  765. She was going back to Moheb. Where do you die?

  766. They homie, That's where I'm gonna die. Hey, ma'am, that's

  767. a settler hunker. Each was handing an equal opportunity. Each

  768. one here has been equal opportunity.

  769. We all have the.

  770. Same church family, right, We all have the same leadership.

  771. We all have the same wisdom guidance. More importantly, we

  772. all have the same gooding. We all serve the same

  773. good You had an equal opportunity, Brother Pufort has the

  774. same opportunity.

  775. By the Philip has.

  776. Brother Ethan has the same opportunity. Brother Jeordi has Orpah

  777. couldn't cut the tether to Mohab. There was something that

  778. had a hold on her, and it ultimately called her

  779. to miss out all the blessings of God.

  780. The devil will make mo app look so plentiful and fruitful.

  781. Could we stand here tonight?

  782. But if you were to ask alive here tonight, how

  783. was it when you got to Mohaven, Oliver Lak, how

  784. did it.

  785. All play out in the end? Did it play out

  786. like your thought it would? Did it play out like

  787. you dreamed it? Would the devil will make mo app

  788. look so good?

  789. But I know it grieves more. I mean it grieved

  790. a limit that a little of that taking your family

  791. into that pagan land and exposing them to all those

  792. things that your young children was exposed to. They were young,

  793. they didn't marry until after a little that died. Was

  794. it worth at orp going back to that paganism?

  795. Was it worth it? Nay on it was it worth it?

  796. Ruth?

  797. Was the journey back to Judah worth it? When you

  798. held that crime grandson in your arms, that would.

  799. Grow up to be the grandfather of the beloved king.

  800. There's a fork in the road, there a decision to

  801. be paid.

  802. Will you walk with the lim act in Orba? Will

  803. you walk that path back? Told you or elect.

  804. Orcle was on the way that Judah or put in

  805. a limo act. Walk that road to move alb. Ruth

  806. and Naomi walked the road to Judah, back to the.

  807. House of bread, back to the house of promise.

  808. Joshua told the children of Israel in twenty four and fifteen,

  809. choose you this day.

  810. Whom you will serve. There was a choice to be made,

  811. Orpa made a choice.

  812. Ruth's made a choice, Kah made a choice, and Naomi

  813. made a choice.

  814. What will it be here? Today? Every disciple that Jesus

  815. ever called had a choice? Do you feel like bread

  816. would find a place to be? Every disciple that Jesus had.

  817. Everyone he called, had a choice to follow him or

  818. to refuse. Judas followed Jesus just like Corpa for a while,

  819. For a little while, Judas followed Jesus. Judas followed Jesus

  820. just a corp and then Naomi for a little but

  821. she was not willing to follow all the way. She

  822. made a good start, but she didn't make it to

  823. the finish.

  824. You did run with it.

  825. You did start out well, You started out with good intentions.

  826. But somewhere along the way the opportunity that came out

  827. and you couldn't resist it. You can't resist it, but

  828. you didn't.

  829. I have decided to follow Jesus. Do none go with me? Still?

  830. I will follow.

  831. The world behind me to the cross before the choice

  832. to be made? What choice were you made?

  833. Will you? Alway? Also? Al rayy baby choice? Oh let's

  834. break it out.

  835. Mm hm h m hm.

  836. H m.

  837. Hm m m. May you take because.

  838. The ball and there maybe he's a party.

  839. It's a good to travel bar.

  840. But you must keep on the move that there's no

  841. place to talk around grad school you stow.

  842. This would be the final out.

  843. You have to climb the simulevationly be waiting.

  844. When you reach the other side, ud beyond the journey

  845. with the.

  846. Precious hand of God, believe you home, Oh, may take

  847. it thro the weirderness. It's a bearing alone. That may

  848. be the morning only nod to traveling ame which.

  849. You must keep over.

  850. And there's no place to turn out.

  851. This race may be strong.

  852. This could be the vial mountain you have to climb.

  853. A semumation be waiting Bee reached the other side, not

  854. on the journey with the person said the godly, a

  855. friend that you trusted for.

  856. So many years to let you down. And you feed trade.

  857. And the war more your heart is ache. The war

  858. seems God, don't hear that, Fred free.

  859. As to stand and watch you like long dreams crumble

  860. at your fee with nothing. Indeed, you must.

  861. Trust the saints man.

  862. You see's a lot more than me can's face with God.

  863. Dream he may take it wherever it is to bury.

  864. There may be tomorning on the road to driving home.

  865. On which you must keep on. Then there's no place.

  866. To turn around.

  867. The place will make you strong.

  868. It could be the final nowty you at the time,

  869. the several operation, every waving.

  870. When you reach the other.

  871. Side, be weav beyond the journey, the person saying.

  872. The gover.

  873. Oh, he may take it through the wilderness so very

  874. nable long.

  875. That may be some.

  876. Hardy for the lot to traveling all, but you must

  877. keep on moving.

  878. There's no place to turn around. His grace will make

  879. you strong.

  880. These could be.

  881. The mime of auntain.

  882. You will have the time to selling. A direction will

  883. be waiting when you reach the other side.

  884. You know, all the jarney with a cushy sand of go.

  885. He may take so very now alone. That may be
