Sins Ruckus - Bro Samuel Howell 11-26-2024

He thought we were gonna be gathered together tomorrow, but

maybe the maybe it worked out good.

Uh.

I do have a burden tonight to preach. I do

want to say how thankful I am to have my

pastor home. Man, it's a wonderful feeling to have him home.

Certainly missed them and those that were out. Glad the

Lord brought him back safely. Well enough. Pastor started off rough,

but thank god he's doing. Oh alright, I'm thankful for

the opportunity that that the Lord has given us. An Uh,

thankful for the pastors. Uh give me a chance to

preach a little before y'all. We'll not for y'all, but

for the live with my brother. Yeah, I got a

burden tonight. I'm sorry. That's why i'm a little little fluster.

Uh.

We've been looking at Matthew chapter five. Uh.

I haven't battled this hard over message in a long time.

I really wanna see some why to get help. I

really want to see somebody could changed. I thought I

had with y'ad had given me.

I with it all day long.

Then I got here to church and about five o'clock

I got a message.

Shame. That's something that's never happened to me. So y'all

to bear with us. The Lord's want to help us.

into the country of the gatherings gatherings.

And when he come out of the ship, immediately there met.

Him out of the tombs, a man with an unclean spirit,

who had been dwelling among the tombs. No man could

bind him, No, not with change, because he has been

often bound with betters and change, and the chains have

been plucked asunder by him, and the betters have been

broken into pieces.

Neither could any man tame him, and he always it.

Was into the mountains and in the tombs, crying and

cutting himself with stones. But when he saw Jesus afar off,

I'm sure in our lives everybody has seen some kind

of ruckus or some kind.

Of disturbance, whether it be at your house or we're

in town watching.

Somebody calls us scene. I know little ones that seems

like you never really have a piece of quiet moment

til bedtime. They're always getting into something. They're always doing

something h leads you, no doubt, was making a ruckus

in the tones. Perhaps people couldn't go see their loved

ones because they knew the man that was sleeping in

the tombs, the man that was terrorizing the tombs.

No doubt they probably longed to see.

Him, but because of the ruckus that was going on

in there, they didn't even attempt to go.

For years, they couldn't even go see their friends or

their family.

To The tomb where Legion was living was no doubt,

a stinky place, possibly a dirty, dingy place.

And I remember the time whenever I found myself living

in the tombs. I know what it's like.

I know right where you've been, I know where we've

all been. But Legion was desperately looking for something. I

feel like because it said that he saw Jesus afar Off,

he was already looking for something he knew for she

has ever got to shore.

He's seen him. He said, there's something different about this man.

I've been living in these tombs way too long. It's

time that I get a change.

I can't stand being here anymore, this dirty, dark, dingchy

feeling and.

All he just calls him a disturbance. He knew it

was time for a change, He knew.

Move off from this disturbance. And I feel like no

doubt in my mind that Legion was also.

Had a disturbing in his heart and soul, because it

Was crying day and night. He was up all hours

of the night, he wasn't sleeping, so obviously he was

a tor minute soul. I feel like, maybe, then, perhapster,

What Legion is going through. You've been losing sleep at.

Night, You've been tormented day and nia. The day was

calling the rockets in your soul. Could just tain't think

to find peace, but you long for desperation. Your eyes

are fixed on the sea. Just open them one day, Jesus,

don't make laying fall. He didn't find that peace until Jesus.

Maybe the shore.

He resorted to other things, cutting himself, just trying to

make it better, just trying to ease the pain, something

to take his mind off the torment that he was in.

That's the way we find ourselves.

Sometimes when we ain't got God in our hearts, we

find ourself.

Crashing for things that we all not to be.

We find ourself causing pain to oursel that we don't

have to go through us.

But because you have no piaza, you're just grafting crestona

and taking and hurt yourself. But one that Jesus and

fall at his feet.

You don't have to live a life of ruckus, disturbance

or commotion. There's sweet peace, and there's sweet joy and

sweet rest. How they do any won't find it, though,

until you run at Jesus's feet. Until you find yourself

at Jesus' feet, you'll find yourself in constant commotion. You'll

find yourself in constant disarray, just wondering when will I

ever get what they're talking about?

When will I ever.

Experience at peace? God, I've tried, but yeah, I still

have a rocket. Throw it out, God, I'm still disturbed.

God has tomotion in my heart.

But until you find yourself at his feet, you will

never experience peace. Here in the Bible that says that

he was often bound with fetters and shame, you can

try to bound your.

Sin all you want.

You can try to set yourself free all you want.

I know, whenever I was experiencing my life of sin,

I could do good for about a week. Oh, I

could do good for about a week. But that's as

bad as long as I could go. And now I

find myself sitting there doing the same old things, nothing bad.

But I was still unsaved, and I was still grasping

for the thing.

I thought.

Okay, I'm st.

Free, but until you follow and Jesus is lees, you

will never be fred. You can have a good will,

you can fight off to.

Yourself, but it'll.

Come back because you ain't really free.

God my lesson, what the devil mind? Lest you are

think that you're free? Can I let you think that

you finally got over it? What unless you're repented of it?

Unless God washed.

You in the blood, you were still.

Just as broad as you was at first. Jesus was

ready and willing to meet Legion. He was headed to

You must want to be free day and night crying

and cutting yourself. Does that fit you in the spiritual realm?

Waking up in the morning realizing you're still just as

tormented as you was, going to bed still tormented, No peace,

no hope, no joy. Jesus is the reason that Lesion

was set free. He's waiting on you. He's ready, He's waiting.

I can almost see now as Jesus come in contact

with the shore.

Before he ever got his foot on his sandy Legion

was already out his feet worshiping. Could have said he

met him there and he fell down out his feet

and began to worship. Don't wait till Titus is making

his way into the town or whatever he was headed

I'm tired of this commotion.

be honest with the Lord and say, I'm sick of

the ruckus.

I'm tired of the commotion. I'm tired of the pain

that I'm causing. Not only Jesus Christ, because you've let

him died.

For your sin.

He wants you to be saved just as much, if

not more than you ever wanted to be.

He died for you.

Jesus, the Lord is ready for you to say, Lord,

I'm ready to move.

Legion had a change of house, a change of scenery.

After that, I got sick of the scenery, no doubt.

I imagine there was.

Cattle trails all in that tube. He probably knew every

single tunbestot.

He didn't.

Somebody could have said, hey, you know what this one is.

They're right over there under that shade tree. You know

every corner of your bondage. You've been in it for

so long.

You know every situation, you know where it leads you.

You know every trail takes you as you wine through

the tombs.

You wonder for so long.

You can.

It's time for you to get a change of home.

Perhaps generation after generation was raised with parents telling their kids.

Then scream you're hearing it's a man who's been there

for years.

Will we see in this church generation after generation pass

you by?

God forbid? And we have to explain to our children

and the children after them. They've had the same opportunity

time and time again, but yet.

They let it pass the by.

Yet they still cry in the mountain, yet still cut the.

Cup with stones. What we have to explain to our children.

This is someone who's content with the tombs.

Pastor is time and time and and time again pointed

you to Jesus.

Let you know, Jesus is coming to shore. It's time

for you to move on. Will this be your story,

the story of Legion? Legion, it doesn't have to be.

Jesus is already there.

I imagine some of the town folks that was in

the street that not after the deliverance of Legion, one

out and listen to a sound that they have never

heard before, a sound of silence, a sound of peace, to.

Know that they no longer have to worry about their

children wandering in the tombs.

You too, can walk your children.

Out into the streets.

Say you hear that sun?

It's the sound that you've never heard before. To be

able to lay your head on your pillow at night

and to ensory silence. I think that was one of

the most awesome the things I ever experienced. After I

got sacked, I laid there in bed and just stand

at the room. It's joying a sound that I often missed,

the sound of silence, the sound of no ruckus, the

sound of no commotion in your head, the sound of

no tourment.

that closes your eyes with peace, joy and happiness.

Get him out of that tune.

Lord's in the tone of that storm. Lord, let there

What he was causing, what kind of pain that he

was calling his son where his father and his father?

But his father loved him another to take him to Jesus,

possibly despite the embarrassment.

There ain't a parent in it here.

I know for my parents and your parents, there ain't

a parent in here that I will take you that

wouldn't take you right to Jesus to speak because they

have pride or because they had embarrassment.

They would be the first once to take you there

because they want.

To see you experience, to sound the silence. Don't sit

among the tombs watching the letting Jesus pass by. This

is the moment to get your peace, to get over

the ruck. Is that sit causing it your life? This

is what you've been longing for.

Joy, happiness, love, contentment. Contentment is something you ever you

haven't ever experienced.

With Jesus woke your trade to most important, to be

in your right mind, to go to bed.

Knowing that should the Lord come, then he'll find you

clothing in your right mind. Lord, God's coming back for

people who was closed and in their right mind. If

you have rugas were because of all the ruggus and

the commotion in your head and all the torment that

you're going through.

I know for a fact you won't be hearing the call.

You have to get that buzzed out of your head,

the constant temptation.

That right.

Sin ain't worth fooling with.

That's why a legion he had enough of that he

could take all he could take. I pray that tonight

you'll come to it all to a prayer and really

pour out your home, your heart, and beg God to

rid you.

Of the constant commotion that knocks around in your head,

the constant torment that what causes you. There's more than commotion.

There're a lot more to.

Experience than torment, adity and pain and stars.

You don't have to keep cutting yourself spiritusly to try

and ease the pain.

Run to Jesus. Jesus is on your shore, and I

The town folk I understood the Bible right after he

They pray that Jesus believe you don't have to leave

this the same. There could be peace to that common

that that commotion filled mind. Just give it to Jesus,
