  1. Those man joy to the world.

  2. The Lord has come. Some folks don't want to accept it,

  3. you know. Some people say they're still looking for him.

  4. Some people still looking for the Christ. He has come.

  5. Make room. Let earth make him room. Amen. Amen.

  6. So good to be in the Lord's house on Christmas Day.

  7. Amen.

  8. I love this. I told my wife. Ever since I

  9. heard about us doing this today, I've been so happy

  10. and excited. It's good to celebrate Christmas in Chirk with you.

  11. I told my wife.

  12. I said, I'll celebrate his birth by bringing my presence

  13. to his house.

  14. Amen. I'll bring my presence to his house. Amen.

  15. So good to be in the Lord's house on this Wednesday,

  16. on Christmas morning, Christmas Day, Christmas afternoon.

  17. Amen.

  18. Let's look in the Book of lout quickly here this

  19. morning here today, Book of Luke, chapter number one. I

  20. want to read a little bit of scripture here. Thank

  21. him for this opportunity to speak something he had on

  22. Jesus's birthday. I know I've gotten some people at work

  23. day that is not actually his birthday. We don't know

  24. when his birthday is was actually, but this is whenever.

  25. We celebrate it, and this is the time that we.

  26. Set aside to acknowledge the birth of Jesus.

  27. Amen, Amen, I tell him you're right. You're right. We

  28. don't know when it was, but it's just as likely

  29. on this day as any other day. Amen. You got

  30. a one in three hundred and sixty five chance. Hey,

  31. maybe this is it.

  32. I don't know, but somebody decided this was a good

  33. time of year to celebrate the birth of Jesus.

  34. And I agree with him.

  35. Amen, I agree, it's a good day to celebrate it,

  36. all right, Luke, Chapter number one, birth number twenty eight.

  37. Let's look at it. The Angel came in.

  38. Unto her and said, Hell, thou art highly favored. The

  39. Lord is with thee blessed, art thou among women. And

  40. when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying,

  41. and cast in her mind what manner of.

  42. Salutation this should be.

  43. And the Angel said up to her, fear not Mary,

  44. for thou hast found favor with God. And behold, thou

  45. shalt conceive in thy womb and bring forth the sun,

  46. and shalt call his name Jesus. Annie shall be great.

  47. Annie shall be called the son of the Highest, and

  48. the Lord God shall give up to him the throng

  49. of his father, David Annie shall reign over the house of.

  50. Jacob forever and of his kingdom. There shall be no end. Amen.

  51. You believe that this morning. You believe that he's the

  52. final king. Amen, He's the final king. He's the final

  53. authority of his kingdom.

  54. There shall be no end. Amen.

  55. Look at verse number thirty eight stip a few verses.

  56. Mary said, behold the handmaid of the Lord. Be it

  57. unto me according to thy word, and the Angel departed

  58. from her. Mary was no doubt a great young woman.

  59. She was somebody that had kept herself holy. She had

  60. someone that had kept herself pure. She was a good

  61. young woman. I believe that she feared God, that she

  62. was looking for his arrival.

  63. Amen. I believe that she expected him to come. Now.

  64. I don't know that she had her expected that it

  65. would be her, But I believe that she was living

  66. in such a.

  67. Way that it could be her. Amen. If she wasn't

  68. living that way, and she wasn't expecting him, then.

  69. God would have never chosen her when God looked down

  70. upon the world, when he had she choose one person

  71. to carry the Son of God, when they had to

  72. choose one person out of all the people that were

  73. in the world across that time.

  74. He chose Mary. Amen. She was a great woman.

  75. She was chosen by God to carry Jesus throughout her

  76. daily life.

  77. Amen. The title of a child is about nine months,

  78. So for about.

  79. Nine months, Mary carries the gospel. For about nine months,

  80. Mary carries the Son of God pouring into this.

  81. World in her room. Everywhere she went, she carried Jesus. Amen.

  82. She was a willing heart.

  83. She had a.

  84. Divine assignment to carry Christ with her everywhere she went. Amen.

  85. She was divinely assigned er.

  86. Divinely assigned to carry the word of God's in pardonate

  87. Jesus Christ in the flesh.

  88. Amen. She was a willing heart.

  89. For in verse thirty eight we read that she accepted

  90. the task, and Mary said, behold to the behold the

  91. handmaid of the Lord. Be it unto me according to

  92. thy words. She accepted the challenge. Whatever God gave her

  93. the opportunity, she accepted and said, yes.

  94. Lord, be it unto me, even as bell will. Amen,

  95. that's up to that was up to her, That was

  96. up to Mary. She was chosen, but she had to

  97. accept the task. Amen.

  98. All right, we see, we see the the after effect

  99. and the aftermath of her accepting the challenge. Amen, we

  100. see the benefits and we and we reaped the benefits

  101. of Mary's decision to carry the christ Child.

  102. Amen. We see that even though the challenges that.

  103. She may face, despite what others may assume, may have

  104. assumed about her, although they knew, I feel like she

  105. was like Member Ruth whenever she came to to Beth

  106. maham Boy, I said, all the.

  107. People they see you, and they and they know that

  108. you're a virtuous woman. They know that you're a good girl.

  109. I know that there was some people down Now, I

  110. know Mary better than that. I know Mary better than

  111. to be on some foolishness.

  112. Amen.

  113. She was chosen by God because she was thoughtless man.

  114. So despite what others would say, despite what others would assume,

  115. despite what others would act like and what they would

  116. spread on her, she chose to carry the Gospel.

  117. Amen.

  118. She chose to carry Jesus everywhere she went. Every Christian

  119. in this place and.

  120. In this entire world has been chosen to carry the Gospel.

  121. God demituded to carry the Gospel into all the world,

  122. to go into all the world and preach the Gospel.

  123. Mary had an opportunity before her.

  124. Mary had chanced to say, O, Lord, I'm not gonna

  125. take that require fability. You have the chance here today

  126. and say all take down responsibility.

  127. But what if Mary would have did that?

  128. What if Mary would have said that, Amen, mark chapter

  129. number sixteen to back it up. Amen, I'm almost done here,

  130. Mark chapter number sixteen.

  131. We're gonna back it up with scripture.

  132. And he said up to them, go ye into all

  133. the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.

  134. Amen.

  135. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved, but

  136. he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs

  137. shall follow them that belief in my name. They shall

  138. cast out devils, They shall speak.

  139. With new cuns.

  140. They shall take up serpents, and if they drink any dead,

  141. they thing and shall not hurt them. They shall lay

  142. hands on the sick, and they shall recover. So then,

  143. after the Lord has spoken unto them, he was received

  144. up into heaven.

  145. And sat on the right hand God.

  146. And they went for and preached everywhere, the Lord working

  147. with them and confirming.

  148. The word with signs following Amen.

  149. The last commandment that Mark ever recorded, Jesus saying the

  150. last commandment that Jesus Mark ever felt like, Yeah, that's

  151. was Jesus's final words to me. That was God's final words. Right,

  152. go ye into all the world. The last command by

  153. Mark was to each and every one of us. It

  154. was an assignment to everyone in this house today, on

  155. this Christmas morning, and it was an assignment to everyone throughout.

  156. The world to go into the world.

  157. We must carry the good news of the Gospel everywhere. Amen,

  158. despite what others say, Mary carried and despite what others

  159. would say, despite what others do, we must carry the

  160. gospel Mary cared in despite what others did.

  161. Amen. It's our duty to carry the gospel. Amen.

  162. We must carry the good news in the Gospel everywhere

  163. in the town. Amen, into the courthouse, Amen, into the job, Amen.

  164. Into the hotel, into the end of the hospital, and

  165. where we go. Let's be as married and carry the

  166. blessed Gospel. Hey Amen. Amen, Let's tarry Jesus with us.

  167. Let's tarry Jesus with the same.

  168. Where is God?

  169. Where's your God?

  170. Right Loujah? Amen? Ain't you thankful for God this morning?

  171. Hey man, there's an old song that says you've gotta

  172. take the Lord with you everywhere you go.

  173. Amen. Truly, you gotta take him with you. Amen. Where

  174. is God?

  175. This morning?

  176. The Lord had Laida just to smoke one on my heart.

  177. And I want to, amen, try to get it out

  178. the best I can here. Amen, I want to look

  179. over at Ephesians, chapter number four and verse numbers.

  180. Will start at around verse number six and read down

  181. through verse number eight.

  182. There he said, one God and one Father of all,

  183. who is above all and through all, and in you all,

  184. but on every one of us, has given grace according

  185. to the measure of the gift of Christ.

  186. Wherefore he said, as when he is.

  187. Sending up on high, he'll let captivinedy captive, and gave

  188. gifts unto men.

  189. Amen.

  190. Now truly this morning, Amen, probably we've all opened some presents.

  191. We've already got some gifts and received some things.

  192. Amen.

  193. You know a gift is a gift, whether received or rejected.

  194. Amen. That meaning of the word gift means something given

  195. willingly to someone.

  196. Without payment of present.

  197. Amen.

  198. And here this morning we all experience the wonders and

  199. then of the gift.

  200. And here in Ephesians they would begin to write here

  201. and say that there is a gift of Christ.

  202. Amen, And that God would give unto men Amen, gifts. Amen.

  203. So as we see a man in loose gospel, we.

  204. Know Amen, we began to experience the gift of Christ,

  205. and then the gift of.

  206. Christ to us Amen, and to the world. And then

  207. his brother Jesse said, we've got to spread of gifts.

  208. Amen.

  209. Now.

  210. And then, while we were yet sinners, the Bible said

  211. Christ died for us. And then now in all knowing

  212. God could look into the future, Amen, and see the

  213. pain he would endure. And then and all knowing God

  214. to look into the future and know how many strikes

  215. a man would be laid on his back, on all

  216. knowing God would see, Amen, the amount of blood he

  217. would lose. Amen.

  218. From the time he was being and been to go,

  219. Gods wrow ain't not yet from the foundations of the world.

  220. Amen, of God.

  221. A man that had never sin, that never done anyone

  222. any wrong, a man would look Amen through the future. Amen,

  223. from the very foundation he didn't began to form You

  224. and I they meant him say I will save to him,

  225. they mean despite their sin. And then we see Amen,

  226. he didn't back out of it. Lauren Luke's Gospel ain't

  227. been the one to move.

  228. They'd been recording. Hopefully we all read this morning.

  229. They made a howl that special day and meant God

  230. began to fulfill now that he had set out to do.

  231. He came on a mission to be the gift of

  232. God and man.

  233. Now the un scripture we're all familiar winsen for God

  234. sow up the world.

  235. But what's that word.

  236. Game?

  237. He game? The eyes shunner that that day ain't whether

  238. received or rejected, he gave me.

  239. Whether you despise him, spit all him out, esteem him lightly,

  240. and then you may not find you him.

  241. Awaken me too.

  242. But on Christmas Day this morning, I just want to

  243. take a second and say I'm thankful for the gift.

  244. It's better and nothing.

  245. Oh, I received the game forever will and a the

  246. gift of God and man, which is a kind of life.

  247. Who Christ Jesus our Lord. And then, whether received or rejected, he.

  248. Gave the greatest gift, and truly friendly, it is a

  249. gift that keeps on giving.

  250. I looked in my life while I knelt down, and

  251. then threw my minds on.

  252. And then as we were praying after reading, and then

  253. the one the boy men splending the can they men

  254. as Luke Wilming.

  255. And then then I begin to see the gifts didn't

  256. stop giving. And then all those times I mean I

  257. needed healing it the gift Brother would had already made

  258. preparation all those times we needed a miracle.

  259. The gift gave. He ain't stopped giving.

  260. Hey any what he never will shun to heaven hot

  261. whether you received the gift or rejected out a dozen.

  262. Chains of babu on me had accountable that, hey, gay

  263. under you, he can't gires son the man. They can't

  264. the gift after humanity, and I love it this morning point,

  265. I thank you this morning point. And then without him,

  266. where would I be on Christmas Day? The day we

  267. have set aside to celebrate and mean, I thank you, Oh.

  268. I thank you?

  269. And then there are many things, Amen.

  270. We don't have kneeled down, but we still take time

  271. and then to make sure we and then get a

  272. man that the proper.

  273. Amen alloted time.

  274. Amen, right, a man like brother Jesse said, I may

  275. not know amen for certain, this is his birthday and man,

  276. but just because I don't know for certain to days birthday.

  277. Why would I go and then all year without at.

  278. Least stopping at some point to say happy birthday, Jesus.

  279. I mean, I thank you for what you've done for me.

  280. And then you realize that baby the late in that

  281. Maine and knew where he was going.

  282. Right shore, that he they hot, And then we got

  283. babies here this morning, and they're oblivious to all they

  284. will suffer. He lived his life knowing where he was headed.

  285. He lived Amen, thirty three years knowing what he must suffer.

  286. We're going high and I'm so I want to be

  287. careful this morning to say that I love my Lord,

  288. I love my Jesus, I love my church.

  289. Amen, I love my pastor. Amen. In a happy birthday.

  290. Amen to the one that changed my life. Amen to

  291. the greatest sixteenth. Amen, it has ever been changed. Oh

  292. will amen. I thank God this morning, Amen, that he

  293. came and he gave. Amen. He gave more than just

  294. himself on that day a man. He also gave himself

  295. on Calvary, and he continues to give to me. Amen.

  296. I thank the Lord for being there this morning. I

  297. thank God for the opportunity of man. I love Jesus

  298. this morning. Man, Could you raise your hands and thank

  299. God for Jesus. Want to give Damen what to give. Oh,

  300. thank you, thank you God.

  301. Thank you Goluliah, thank you Jesus.

  302. Thankful God, God, Jesus.

  303. The Lord God.

  304. Don't you appreciate Brother Jesua and Brother Nathaniel. I'm telling

  305. you what they gave to us just now was heaven sent.

  306. I felt it in my soul. I appreciate them so much.

  307. I appreciate you all being here in the House of

  308. the Lord on Christmas Day. We're so thankful for you

  309. being willing to come this morning to.

  310. The House of God.

  311. I feel like it's very important that people acknowledge the

  312. time of his birth, that people acknowledge his birthday. It

  313. is true we cannot exactly pinpoint the very day of

  314. his birth, but nevertheless we believe in the virgin birth.

  315. We know that he can.

  316. And that's occasion enough to celebrate. You will remember the

  317. prophet spoke to the King of Israel, namely the King

  318. of Israel named Saul, and the words were said to him,

  319. do as occasion doth serve thee. Pretty much, the prophet

  320. was saying, when the opportunity arises, when the occasion service thee,

  321. do as the occasion service. So here we are doing

  322. as the occasion has served us. We want to celebrate

  323. his birthday.

  324. Have your Bible.

  325. We turn with me to Matthew Chapion number two. I

  326. do not plan to keep you very long. I want

  327. to say thank you so much for breaking away from

  328. all of the things that you have going on today

  329. in order to set aside about an hour and a

  330. half to be in the house of the Lord. We

  331. have come to worship him. Take time to worship him.

  332. Praise the Lord. Matthew, Chapter number two, reading verses number

  333. one through twelve. Mary Christmas, beautiful Bethel, Mary Christmas.

  334. It's so good to see if the.

  335. Bible says now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea,

  336. in the days of Herod the King, Behold, there came

  337. wise men from the east to Jerusalem, saying, where is

  338. he that is born King of the Jews? For we

  339. have seen his star in the east and are come

  340. to worship him. When Herod the King had heard these things,

  341. he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.

  342. And when he had gathered all.

  343. The chief priests and scribes of the people together, he

  344. demanded of them where Christ should be born. And they

  345. sent it to him in Bethlehem of Judea. For thus

  346. it is written by the Prophet, and now Bethlahem in

  347. the land of Judah. Or not thou least among the

  348. princes of Judah. For out of these shall one come

  349. a governor that shall rule my people in Israel. Then Herod,

  350. when he had probably calls the wise men, inquired of

  351. them diligently what time the star appeared. And he sent

  352. them to Bethlehem, and said, go and searched diligently.

  353. For the young child.

  354. And when ye have found him, bring me word again

  355. that I may come and worship him. Also, when they

  356. had heard the king, they departed, and lo, the star,

  357. which they saw in the east, went before them, and

  358. it came and stood over where.

  359. The young child was.

  360. When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.

  361. And when they were coming to the house, they saw

  362. the young child would mary his mother, and fell down

  363. and worshiped him. And when they had opened their treasures,

  364. they presented unto him gifts gold and frankincense of mird. And,

  365. being warned of God in a dream that they should

  366. not return to Herod, they departed into their own country

  367. another way. May we pray heavenly Father, Lord, I'm glad

  368. to be numbered among those that have made it a

  369. priority to come.

  370. To your house and to worship you.

  371. People of light, precious faith, people that share a common

  372. denominator that's Jesus Christ. So love the truth.

  373. You desire that in our inward parts. Lord, you desire

  374. truth in the inward parts.

  375. I pray that you would have know what this Thy

  376. servant set of guard at my mouth and helped me

  377. to say the thing that you would have me to say,

  378. nothing more or less than on the ears of this

  379. thy people, that they might hear what the Spirit of God.

  380. Said unto a church blessed this Christmas day, God, in

  381. Jesus' name, we prayed, and the church said Amen, looking

  382. closely at verse number two, saying where is.

  383. He that is born King of the Jews?

  384. For we have seen his star in the east and

  385. are come to worship him. Notice that keyword worship. Go

  386. down to verse number eleven. And when they were coming

  387. to the house, they saw the young child with Mary

  388. his mother, and fell down and worshiped him. And when

  389. they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts

  390. gold and frankinsense, and merr looks to me like they

  391. gave gifts and celebrated. Somebody opened gifts. Look at that

  392. verse number eleven, and when they had opened their treasures,

  393. they presented unto him gifts gold and frankincense and myrr.

  394. Okay, So I want to talk to you just briefly

  395. this morning.

  396. The purpose of us being here on Christmas Day is

  397. that we might worship Him. I don't understand how it

  398. is that so many are so busy that they fail

  399. to set aside time to worship him. Early this morning,

  400. the Lord put a thought upon my heart, and it's

  401. been burning within my bosom as a fire ever since

  402. he did. Most of you are familiar with this expression

  403. concerning Christmas. It's the most wonderful time of the year.

  404. It depends on how things are going for you, whether

  405. or not you wholeheartedly concur with that lyric. And so

  406. as I was seeking the Lord early this morning, tulsing

  407. and turning, God dealing with my heart, pouring something into

  408. my heart, it seemed like the Holy Ghost spoke this

  409. phrase and expression into my heart. The most wonderful moment

  410. in time, the most wonderful moment in time, was the

  411. time of Christ's birth. His birth should not be subject

  412. to argument. And what I mean by that they should

  413. not be arguing over whether or not the virgin birth.

  414. Took place.

  415. They should not be arguing whether or not it took

  416. place on December twenty fifth.

  417. They're missing the main theme of Christmas.

  418. They're overlooking the main theme of Christmas, and that is

  419. we celebrate the virgin birth of Jesus, and in our

  420. celebration we should be worshiping him. The subjects and characters

  421. before us this morning are these oriental wise men that

  422. came from the east looking for an opportunity to worship him. Now,

  423. I believe that these men were very busy. I told

  424. Sister Howell, as her loving husband, and as also the

  425. pastor of this church this morning, I said, you have

  426. been so busy over the last couple of days.

  427. Don't forget that our purpose.

  428. Is to set aside time and worship him. I said,

  429. I had to pastor this people, and I can sense

  430. the stress and the anxiety, and I can sense just

  431. the pressure that's upon you and.

  432. That affects me.

  433. I can sense it because of you being unsettled exactly

  434. where you're at concerning families about to come over. That

  435. has put an unsettled spirit inside of me. That's made

  436. me a bit anxious. It's made me feel a little

  437. bit unsettled and uneasy. And if that can happen to

  438. your pastor and your first lady, mile, mile.

  439. My, what's going on in the world today. It's the

  440. spirit of Martha.

  441. Jesus did tastise and wear.

  442. Out that spirit.

  443. It doesn't matter if it's the first lady or a

  444. deaconess or an elder or a deacon or a lay preacher,

  445. or an evangelist or a missionary, a governor, a police officer,

  446. or whoever it is, if they've got that spirit about

  447. them where they're so cumbered about doing this and doing

  448. that that they failed to set aside time to worship him.

  449. Jesus can scold you and correct you.

  450. And if you're above chastisement, that means you're above receiving

  451. the love of the Lord. Because the Bible said, for

  452. as many as he loves, he chastens and rebukes me zealous,

  453. therefore and repent. There is no doubt that Jesus loved Martha.

  454. He loved Mary, he loved the Lazarus. There's no doubt

  455. he loved the meals and Martha prepared. I don't feel

  456. like he was casting a shadow upon the work ethic

  457. of Martha. I don't believe he could say that the

  458. taste of Martha's food was second to someone else's or

  459. some par There's no doubt there was a reason why

  460. Jesus grew aboitated towards the house of Mary, Martha, and Lazarus.

  461. The Bible spoke concerning Christ's love for Lazarus and for

  462. his two sisters, Martha and Mary. But what was that

  463. drawing factor that kept him coming by the house of

  464. those three siblings. It was the way Mary worshiped him.

  465. The Bible said, God is a spirit, and they that

  466. worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

  467. And I want you to know there's a lot of

  468. Christian people, both Pentecostal and holiness, and even those are

  469. the nominal churches this morning that will have reasonings a

  470. mile long if they were to be listed of why

  471. they could not set aside time today or one day

  472. this week, or conduct and have and participate in a

  473. midweek service, There'll be many, many, many, many many reasons.

  474. And for the wayfair and man and the traveler. There

  475. should be a house of worship somewhere that they could

  476. drop into. What the problem is in this generation, no

  477. one has.

  478. The light on in the room. No one has the

  479. light on in the end.

  480. It should be that a pastor Howell, it's just the

  481. how it needs to travel to Tennessee for family Christmas.

  482. It should be that we could have a consolation in

  483. our heart and spirit that's somewhere in that vicinity. A

  484. house of truth, a house of worship, a house of prayer,

  485. would have the doors unlocked, the doors widely open, and

  486. then it would be permissible to worship in there.

  487. But unfortunately, we're.

  488. Living in a generation and it's got so busy they

  489. don't have time.

  490. To worship him.

  491. And I can really preach this, but I'm gonna try

  492. to hold back here just a little bit. I think

  493. we should take some time to worship him. When we

  494. were seeing joy to the world a little while ago,

  495. you could tell this church family was worshiping him. So

  496. what was the magnetism of the House of Martha? So

  497. she would call it, Oh, there's no doubt the aroma

  498. that was in that house was splendid. There's no doubt

  499. she was a great cook. If she was to live

  500. in our day, what would the aroma of that place

  501. be like? It be tremendous, with the smell of cinnamon

  502. be in the air. Would the smell of a freshly

  503. make apple pie be in the air? Pumpkin pie? There's

  504. no doubt that Martha would be like sister Howe, will

  505. get up early seven o'clock and work hard all the

  506. way until ten thirty. There's no doubt she'd be just

  507. as busy as it be as expression goes. But there

  508. was a traveler coming her way, and she would be

  509. too busy to worship him, too busy to worship him

  510. and Jesus at some point must have had a red

  511. streak going up the side of his neck. Sister Tracy

  512. does when she gets embarrassed. Brother Jesse said that Sister

  513. Hannah and her daughter inherited that. He said, I can

  514. tell when my wife Hannah's flustered. I know she's either

  515. embarrassed or angry. Yes, sweet modus meat, Sister Hannah, there's

  516. a telltale sign she's flustered. She's upset about something, Brother

  517. Thomas steric. Brother Jesse talked about that on wide red

  518. streak that comes up. It's like a billboard to Jesse

  519. saying back off, bubba.

  520. Huh.

  521. So at some point in the middle of this wonderful dinner,

  522. in this time of excellent service, five.

  523. Star service, you talk about hospitality.

  524. Hospitality supreme.

  525. But in the middle of that, Jesus said, Mary, I

  526. need to tell you something. I mean, Martha, I need

  527. to tell you something. I appreciate everything you're doing. I'm paraphrasing.

  528. And surely everything Martha had done was needful and required

  529. from the basin of water that had been offered to

  530. wash their feet.

  531. But he said, Mary has chosen to do that one thing.

  532. It's very needful, that most important part, and that is

  533. to worship me.

  534. And I know that our brothers and sisters in Christ

  535. have been off on this trend of canceling service.

  536. And I'm not there, judge, but I wonder what Jesus

  537. would say.

  538. If Jesus was alive today, he would probably say to us,

  539. it is true that you do.

  540. Not know the exact day of the moment in time

  541. of my birth. You know my birth year. That's reason

  542. enough to celebrate. It is true. It is true that

  543. you don't know all things because you're not God. But

  544. somebody should have been careful when.

  545. The corporate giants began to commercialize Christmas.

  546. And got you all so busy working, some busy going

  547. from point A to point B, an empty in your

  548. purses and pocket books and bank accounts.

  549. They got you so busy that you forgot and failed

  550. to worship Me.

  551. And I wonder how.

  552. Many people will just say the name Jesus, read the

  553. Christmas story in the second chapter of the Beloved Position's Gospel,

  554. and say, we've done our duty this Christmas.

  555. That's called being religious.

  556. But I want to ask us this question, have we

  557. worshiped him today? These wise men, they endeavored to seek

  558. him out, and they saw opportunity to worship him. And

  559. that's what we're doing here today. It's not to be

  560. the church that had Christmas service.

  561. Only it's not to be the church that refuses to

  562. come and celebrate on the day that we celebrate his birthday.

  563. Only that we're the church, as the spirit of Martha

  564. would demand, that we want to do him service and

  565. pay respect back unto him and do our best to

  566. be hospitable. But we want to come in here and

  567. worship him in the spirit of Marry. So God is

  568. a spirit, and they that worship him must worship.

  569. Him in spirit and in truth.

  570. So Christmas is the time of year when we and

  571. other Christians celebrate the very foundation of our religion, the

  572. virgin birth of Jesus. Are we celebrating? Are we celebrating?

  573. But the Jesse he testified along them lines about a

  574. week ago, it blessed my soul.

  575. I want to celebrate Christmas.

  576. And the best way to celebrate Christmas is not by

  577. offering a freshly baked apple pie to my neighbor.

  578. That is a good way. That is a way to

  579. do it in the spirit of Martha.

  580. But the the best way is to set them presents down,

  581. walk away from that Christmas tree.

  582. Tell friends and family just give me a little while.

  583. I'll be back in an hour and a half.

  584. But I have to go to church in my casual

  585. a tower because I've been celebrating and I've been dousy.

  586. You know what Jesus was looking for. He was looking

  587. for Mary to come in there and worship him, And

  588. then when he realized it was only her in there,

  589. he'd begin to ask the question, where is Mary? You

  590. know what he was looking for for that washboard mama

  591. to come in there with that apron on that was

  592. saturated with oil and flower and do and spices, cinnamon, swilling,

  593. apron right and worship hill.

  594. Worship pill. Worship pill.

  595. That's the word that I've had on my heart today,

  596. worship pill meaning, don't get so busy that you've failed

  597. a worship pill, Martha. Don't get so busy that you

  598. create an atmosphere that is not condcent for worship. That's

  599. what's happening. That is what's happening in our world today.

  600. Corporate giants within America and worldwide have figured out kind

  601. of get people so busy and so occupied doing this

  602. or that. It is true that Christmas can be full

  603. of culture. Christmas is full of culture for most Americans

  604. and for most people world wide. They have their traditions.

  605. Brother Tyler could say, I would like to implement in

  606. my family tradition that of eating roasted duck. Several years ago,

  607. sister Howell implemented into our family tradition of having prime rib.

  608. That's what had her uptight today. She got everything done,

  609. but got the prime rib in the oven. Everything but

  610. got the prime rib in the oven. And so she said,

  611. I wonder if.

  612. They will be willing to wait. I know they're gonna

  613. be hungry. I wonder if they'll be okay with that.

  614. And that's your first lady. She is to be respected.

  615. Nor am I tearing down your respect.

  616. For her, or no am I trying to make you

  617. think less of her. But if she gets in the spirit,

  618. she worshiped God, and her children get in the spirit

  619. and they worship God.

  620. The metha hole in the church.

  621. Family getting the spirit, worship God and get in connection

  622. with God, they ain't gonna be anybody and to build

  623. worried about prime rib. There won't be anybody in the

  624. building asking the question did you preheat the oven the

  625. five hundred they just sliding in there for an hour

  626. to get the eighth of an inch thick crust on it,

  627. or do you have it in the second phase where

  628. it's doing the last hour cooking.

  629. There won't be anybody thinking about prime rib. In fact,

  630. when you really get in.

  631. The spirit of God in such a way that you

  632. get blessed and He gets blessed, you forget about your

  633. traditions of roasted dunk and prime rib, apple pie, oh,

  634. come on now, and pumpkin pie. I thank God that

  635. Christmas is a time full of culture, but it also

  636. should be a time of worship, a time of celebration,

  637. praise the load.

  638. Christmas can be a time of community.

  639. I preach recently of the community surrounding Christmas, concerning Mary

  640. and Elizabeth and how they came together and how.

  641. They drew confirmation and assurance from one another. And there's

  642. a lot of you. You've been busy.

  643. Already today with friends and family, and you're gonna be busy.

  644. That's why you're in the building in your casual attire.

  645. That's why I'm in the building in my casual attire.

  646. Christmas is a time of community. I thank God for

  647. people coming together, Mary, Martha and last Risk.

  648. They came together by the water buttonrth.

  649. Do you know what? They didn't come together to eat

  650. only that was one of the reasons. But that was

  651. not the primary reason and the primary reason we gather

  652. together today. It's not primarrib It is the worship hill

  653. the primary You see, we can all get very busy,

  654. and we can all face the temptation up.

  655. Wouldn't it be better to not have Christmas service because

  656. we have so much going on.

  657. I don't think playing a few Christmas carols at Christmas

  658. is enough. I don't think that equates to us worshiping

  659. him and my scholar and sister how well this morning.

  660. Absolutely not. I'm trying to tell you how easy it

  661. is for each and every one of us to get

  662. too busy. And Jesus told Martha, he said, you're cumbered

  663. about so much doing.

  664. He didn't condemn what she was doing.

  665. You can't find in the Word of God where there

  666. was any condemnation in the activities of the day. You

  667. cannot find where Jesus cited any failure in her preparation

  668. or in her product. But what you can find is

  669. where Jesus found fault with her stopping in the midst

  670. of her busyness to worship him. Jesus, though this seems

  671. our FITSI to some and it's got that special tradition.

  672. I don't need to be in church. I need to

  673. finish putting the glazon on my fruitcake.

  674. I don't need to be in church. I need to

  675. put the whipped cream on that cherry pie. I don't

  676. need to be in church. I need to put the

  677. bones on my grandchildren's plansy. I don't need to be

  678. in church on Christmas I'm too busy. Jesus didn't find.

  679. Fault with community. Jesus didn't find fault with culture. But

  680. what he did find fault was the lack of consecration,

  681. the commitment and crowning. And that's what the Lord put

  682. on my heart this morning. Christians should take time to

  683. crown him king of kings and lord and lords.

  684. And I want to tell you these.

  685. Kings from the Orient, there is no doubt they were busy.

  686. And sometimes you have to put the ladle down, sister.

  687. Sometimes you have to set the crowns aside. Wise men,

  688. sometimes you have to turn the timperature down on that smoker.

  689. Men of God.

  690. Oh come on now.

  691. I want to preach, but I'm gonna try to keep

  692. it short because I know you got to get back

  693. to family. Christmas should be a time of consecration, commitment,

  694. and crowning.

  695. There is no doubt Martha was committed to community, she

  696. was committed to culture, but she was not committed to crowning.

  697. And I know that the Eastern culture is quite the culture,

  698. and I know that the Eastern community is quite the community.

  699. But these men stopped whatever it was they were doing

  700. in order to follow His star and their purpose was

  701. clear to Herod or Joseph and Mary. Their purpose was

  702. Verse number two said Herod, we come to worship him.

  703. We've come to worship him, And then into the eleventh

  704. verse they did worship him. It's one thing to say,

  705. I love my God so much.

  706. I read the Christmas story before we open presents. I

  707. played a few Christmas carols by charismatic worship leaders.

  708. I thought about Jesus for about five minutes. I've got a.

  709. Major problem with men and women canceling church on Sunday period.

  710. It's Jesus' birthday. Why would somebody not show up to

  711. the birthday party? What's celebrating Jesus' birthday? Why would someone

  712. not want to show up to the birthday party? These

  713. wise men were committed to crowning him key, and I

  714. want us to stand. We'll be dismissed here momentarily. Forget

  715. about that car that needs to be assembled, forget about

  716. the batteries in the little cars that need to be charged,

  717. forget about the pies that need to be sliced and.

  718. The cats that need to be cut. And I want

  719. us to worship him.

  720. And it's an indictment to our brothers and sisters in

  721. these blessed United States that they got so busy that

  722. they could set aside an hour.

  723. Or an hour and a half this midweek.

  724. And consecrations in commitment and in crowning.

  725. Him, kid and kids and Lord of lords.

  726. Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord.

  727. The cause to celebrate it works the most wonderful moment

  728. in time.

  729. Not everybody feels like it's the most wonderful time of

  730. the year, because some have lost revels, some aren't able

  731. to buy the gifts.

  732. That they wanted to buy, some have unexpected They found

  733. it to be a time of great loss and a

  734. great sorrows. For the birth of the Messiah is truly

  735. the most wonderful moment in time. And I got to say,

  736. craze be the Jesus, thank God for the Brds and birth.

  737. Every Christmas.

  738. He about us very Christmas, forrey you is born this

  739. day in the city have day and a.

  740. Savior which is Christ alone, which is Christ.

  741. Lord.

  742. Hell of.

  743. A hone, Yes that you, yes for you.

  744. Will you take some time alosity him always asking boys

  745. an hour for an hour and a half hot about

  746. Christmas celebration.

  747. He is the sinner piece of Christmas. He is the

  748. sexual theme of Christmas.

  749. Let me too busy to praise he. That's it, brother,

  750. that's it. That's I just can up here on the

  751. court for a moment and worship him. Now, God, he

  752. is a spirit, and they.

  753. Even worship him. Must worship him, his spirit and their truth.

  754. Praise God.

  755. I'm thankful for the blessed babies. Or listen, I'm also

  756. thank you for the crust of bad class, the houses.

  757. I thankful for the old acusive sacrifice that he paid

  758. as put.

  759. In the family set this morning. He knew what he

  760. was facing. Yeah, for the joy of the sycophomium.

  761. He idused the cross despas and the same. Do you

  762. think you could set us out some town to worship

  763. him
