That's a pastor certainly glad to be here and ask
-
of the Lord. Tony, certainly glad to have our pastor.
-
Whether there's some some preachers, probably, but I said no,
-
we're two hours away, but they can do it now us.
-
But I'm glad he come back.
-
I'm certainly glad to call him pastor and dad, but
-
most importantly he's my pastor and they.
-
We're thankful for this opportunity.
-
And we want God to help us here.
-
Uh.
-
I feel like what Pastor's talking about goes right along
-
with what the Lord had given me.
-
Uh.
-
So y'all, y'all bear with us and say a prayer
-
for us as we see what the Lord has in
-
story for tonight.
-
We'll be looking in Matthew chapter sixteen.
-
Uh.
-
I've been praying about this.
-
But I just want you to know, buddy, if God's
-
with you, you.
-
Had the message for that hour because I flopped my
-
Bible open and I met Matthew sixteen.
-
Alright.
-
I don't even know how bad I battle about this,
-
Thank you, Lord, Matthew sixteen. From verse eighteen, I say,
-
up to thee thou art Peter, and upon this rock
-
I will build my church and the gates of hell
-
shall not prevail against it.
-
I won't be long, but for a little while.
-
I have to preach on the chip off the old block.
-
If y'all would pray with us, God.
-
Will ask me, well what I was? God be? God is?
-
So she change?
-
Chill?
-
Lo God Lord, I'm gonna sue you.
-
Wise, y'ad.
-
Take my mouth and my mind and my heart. Lord y'ad,
-
if you please, Old Lord, that's not writing. They changed.
-
So that's someone.
-
But then with streak the wrong with hell on y'all
-
in hers sofyad's the safe.
-
You're gonna to break. Y'all will be show and give.
-
You all the glory and all the honor and the
-
Nord's name. We asked him. You's ready, Amen and amen sh.
-
Now, I'm sure h Most of our life, a lot
-
of us have heard someone say, or we've even told
-
someone you're a regular chip off the old block, and
-
we all know what that's saying is implying is a
-
lot of times you you have some type of characteristic
-
of your parent, or you talk like him with your
-
youth words like him, or you perhaps you work like him.
-
And as matter of fact, just the other day we
-
are Pastor seen all us brothers a text as a
-
picture of us. I think he posted on us on
-
the seconds of a little truck that he had sketched
-
up just in his free time for I just having
-
a good time and better and his skills. We all
-
started replying because we were honestly impressed with it. I
-
stared at it for probably five minutes, just blown away
-
by it and realizing that there's no way I could
-
do it. I think my comment was, Wow, that's amazing.
-
But every one of.
-
Us brothers received a text back said every one of
-
y'all our chips off the old block. Well, I had
-
forgotten about this completely, forgot about it. And then whenever
-
passed that, Pastor asked me to pray or to preach
-
Sunday afternoon.
-
I went home.
-
When I started praying, and y'all got.
-
To deal with me about this versus the scriptures in
-
that text come back to mind this title, and then
-
I remembered what Pastor your text, I don't want you
-
the thing that I just pulled something out. But uh,
-
my first my first doll was whenever I received that
-
was there's no way that means I'm ana chip off
-
the old block. But then I got to got to
-
realizing that God to think and there's ways that I
-
can be a ship.
-
Off the old block. There's ways that I can by
-
raising my family in church, by doing it like the
-
Bible says, by not doing.
-
It the way the world doesn't, but practicing what my
-
pastor preaches, by by getting a prayer life, by.
-
By doing everything at the word of.
-
God says, doing it in order that way that my
-
children to be a chip off of the block of
-
Jesus Christ.
-
That's a lot of what we see. Our pastor is
-
a block off of Jesus Christ. He's a chip off
-
the old block. And that's what I want to be.
-
I want to being ship off the old block of
-
Jesus Christ.
-
Is an honor to be a block off the chip
-
of my dad or chip off the block of my dad.
-
But it's even more of an honor to be a
-
child of God and a chip off God's block.
-
Some say, hey, some of you might say, you.
-
Know what, I don't have someone and that I like
-
to be like in my family. Well, that's why you
-
have Jesus Christ. That's the perfect example. You don't gotta
-
be like someone in your past.
-
You don't have to break up. You don't gotta be
-
just like your parents.
-
You can say, you know what, say gone and wrong?
-
They straight away from my God a heaven.
-
I'll do it like a baba says. I'll stand with
-
the pastor.
-
I won't back down, I won't give in, and I
-
want to rrunt. What though that slave the path of
-
part that lead. I'm glad to be a true holiness.
-
Person, part of the family.
-
How if you're family or people of this world can't
-
tell that you're in shot of God, or the people
-
of the bell can't tell that you're a part of
-
the betht of hole.
-
In this church family, you still yet to become a
-
chip off the old block.
-
How the God's help, I feel the fire. They'll know
-
just by the way you talk to them, by the
-
way your attitude is.
-
There's enough of us now in this church that you
-
can't hot to go into town probably without them saying.
-
I can tell by the way they talk.
-
I can tell by the way they ta that non
-
tell if they belong to the bestel all in his shirt.
-
How you may wonder where my bible is, for my
-
bible for where you where you're giving away?
-
Who you are by your speech. Go to Matthew chapter
-
twenty six, and I'll give it to you. Look y'all
-
Matthew twenty six and seventy three. After a while, he can't.
-
After a while came up to him. They that stood
-
and said to Peter, surely thou art one of them?
-
Right, they'll know.
-
Surely you are one of them.
-
For my speech tells on you.
-
I'm just fair phrasing.
-
I speak your speech for Rethy. Now you ain't gotta
-
go around to everybody in.
-
This world and speak being thal and and all that.
-
By just the way you're you're.
-
Not toussing, by the way you have a good attitude,
-
by the way you're polite.
-
Now, this is what Truthing be right here in.
-
Verse seventy four, then began he's a curse, and to
-
answer saying I know not the man and the pet
-
of the cont crew.
-
It ordered for him to get them to believe them.
-
He done something that Jesus wouldn't do.
-
He started tossing. He started swaying, saying, I.
-
Don't know that matter.
-
You know, if you get found up by pressure and
-
you came by co workers and you say things, I
-
do know not to think I'm trying to prove to
-
them that.
-
They're not a trying to God.
-
What are little same for Jesus Mother?
-
That shame of you, he said, I do bes shamed
-
of that. I'll be ashamed of you.
-
His speech gave him away, because he been around Jesus
-
at times twenty four to seven.
-
He sounded licking. Perhaps he even carried himself licking. I'm
-
sure the signs of Jesus were all.
-
Over him, but in artist look so desperately out of
-
fear to prove that he wasn't, he began to curse.
-
He began to curse. Now, the very name Peter means rock.
-
That is not a very good representation of a rock.
-
Peter crumbled by just them asking and the question he
-
take him like a sand castle.
-
That's not very rock life.
-
If you asked me, they believed it, perhaps maybe because
-
they realized that Jesus would never cuss, or that Jesus.
-
Would never curse.
-
He Holy God, God, I'm glad to be called the
-
child of God. I'm glad to be a part.
-
Of Bethel and to be a part of the church
-
that's built upon the.
-
Rock and it's not falling, and it's not caving in.
-
This world needs to see someone who's saw it.
-
This world needs to see someone who doesn't keep to
-
pure pressure.
-
Whenever they say something, you just stand up so bony
-
and say, hey, don't.
-
Talk like that around me. I don't got time to
-
heal that field.
-
You gotta stand.
-
They click came in.
-
God, make them think otherwise before you be a reproach
-
to Jesus.
-
You might be the only.
-
Bible someone sees in their life, for the only Jesus
-
that someone sees.
-
Where to carry ourselves like Jesus, and where to talk.
-
Like Christians, and where to be what we say we are.
-
I don't know how you could come to this church
-
and not be build on the rock.
-
This is the rock.
-
I don't care where you talk from, if your church
-
that you left.
-
If you can look back now and look at the foundation,
-
what's the foundation of it?
-
Is it considered us sandcastle or castle?
-
God help us Lord. Go to Matthew chapter seven, Jesus.
-
Matthew chapter seven, starting in verse twenty four.
-
Therefore, whosoever hears these things of mine and do with them,
-
I would like in him unto who ha wise man
-
would build.
-
His house upon a rock and the rain descended.
-
Then the floods came, and the wind blow and beat
-
upon that house, and it fell not for it was
-
founded upon a rock. This church is founded upon a rock.
-
A house is just as strong as its foundation is.
-
We have a church with a rock solid foundation that
-
farmer growing.
-
That's why we have a pastor who stands for what's right,
-
who doesn't cave, who doesn't give in, who has it
-
backing up, who hasn't said, you know what, maybe wanting
-
to do it a little different.
-
That's why you're here, because you say, Lord, I need
-
a house.
-
That I can build upon God, I need a.
-
Rock that I can build, a foundation that my children
-
can have confidence in.
-
This sounds like a house that's built upon the rock
-
and at the gates of hell, shell lunch prevail against it.
-
Hallylujah. That's the kind of church I want to go to.
-
That's the kind of house I want.
-
To build off.
-
That's the kind of house I want to raise my children.
-
And that's the kind of.
-
Place I want my children I have confident And that
-
is the kind of manna that I want to be
-
able to tell you know what.
-
I don't got to worry about them being pola. I
-
don't got to worry about them. Here it donation.
-
I still remember something our dad used.
-
To tell us often if we'd been messing around with him,
-
perhaps trying to push him over to something, and if
-
we failed it, he fought, remember this. I know all
-
the kids with brothers and sisters will He said, what happened?
-
You're running to the rock.
-
Next time someone said something we're trying to run you down,
-
just push.
-
It right back over and say, what happened? You're running
-
to the rock.
-
Don't cave.
-
They right, hald Man, all right to the rock?
-
He man, Hell about your ball on the rock, and
-
you I'll be going by your fo up not started.
-
You try up that stable.
-
That ain't nothing to do by.
-
Do what he gonna don't like to house.
-
They're gonna talk.
-
Let them know.
-
Let your house is no longer get upon their halves.
-
They get under like that, say.
-
How about you up here?
-
Don't cut all along.
-
I'm thankful Donors didn't have the Passon's made up at
-
mine that he's gonna the lot of dollar foundation. Let
-
your hands up prison, don't take to stand your ground
-
and say I've become a chip of Rebecca's block.
-
Come and visit.
-
And see what cre made of Hallie Luten nineteen. I'm
-
saying to hurry Loot nineteen. Starting in verse thirty thirty nine,
-
some of the Pharisees among the multitude.
-
Said, under him, Master repeats our disciples.
-
We are. And he said under them, I tell you
-
that if we should hold their peace, the stones would
-
immediately cry out.
-
Immediately sounds like no matter what, God is gonna.
-
Have a voice that's heard.
-
You may your peace where there's gonna be a rock
-
that cries out in your place.
-
Perhaps the church you come from.
-
Has changed their mindset and have decided that they're now
-
gonna hold their peace.
-
I want you to see yourself as one of them rocks.
-
And again to cry out and find your place how.
-
To rock solid church.
-
Where they don't just left sin go by, when they
-
don't just ignore the things that are there causing stum
-
that blocks to the little ones that are coming up
-
behind them. I'm passing takes the stand against sin and
-
against things that has crept into this holiness movement, and
-
every one of them, people that hate it, those that
-
love it, they find themselves here with those that hate it.
-
Often find himself on the ground because the Bible s
-
that's touched, not mine anointed. And to my proping no heart,
-
God the lord of this man to the day he dies.
-
And I believe as long as you get his back
-
one hundred percent, God lost the watter you.
-
But you gotta make sure that you have a.
-
Rock foundation and you're not come on the sun. God's
-
word will not be stopped.
-
They can.
-
They can say all manner of things.
-
They can say all kind of lies about the church
-
and start trying to make you believe.
-
Things that aren't true.
-
Just begin to cry out and say, hey, I'm a
-
rock now.
-
Because you're health, your peace, and not have to cry
-
out because you want to take a stand.
-
Because you wantn't preaching right because you.
-
Wasn't listening to up there and listen to the bust
-
of God. Aman is glad to be out.
-
A rock solid church, such a peace of mind to
-
know that I can raise a family in here. I'm
-
thankful for a pastor. I will stand and will say
-
things that need to be said. Heed to chip off
-
the block of the very Jesus Christ all wrong and
-
our Savior and our leader. We that have come to
-
this church, we all come looking for a place that
-
was solid, that we can go to bed at night
-
with peace of mind, knowing that comes.
-
Sunday morning, there comes Sunday night, and come Wednesday.
-
I'm not gonna find myself in a spiritual earthquake where
-
my house is shaken down by up a preacher who
-
backed down, he didn't take a stand fire.
-
We're here because we knew that God was building this place.
-
And to all this golfers that hate the true Holy Way,
-
holding this way and the Bible teachings, I hate.
-
To tell you, but God building a church.
-
And you'll be left with your little measles sand castle,
-
and when the time comes, it's gonna get trampled on
-
them by God.
-
God will have the last laugh.
-
You leave people astray and tell them.
-
Factuse I just thought about a pastor was talking about
-
that house or that that structure that had a big front,
-
but it wasn't what it seemed to be. You may
-
be lying to people and telling them come to our place,
-
we got a solid church.
-
It's not. Don't you go back to where you come from.
-
Let's all stand.
-
Let's those standing.
-
Next time someone says something about your pastor or the church,
-
or the fact that you left them and they could
-
really use you.
-
Say, well, I didn't really see where you were wanting
-
to use me.
-
Every turn you stop me out every turn you told.
-
Me to hust whenever I pray, thanks to your attention.
-
You dead us leave it alone. That's why I left
-
be on that plea them come like it is. They
-
wouldn't tell you like it is. Let him know and
-
feel what it feels like to be told what it is.
-
And maybe, just maybe I doubt.
-
It why God sent you here. Maybe they'll do it right.
-
But I tell you, this is just all it has,
-
this is where it belongs.
-
I'll be going ahead and bolt and say, if you've been.
-
Moved to Bethel, ain't no way God told you to leave.
-
Ain't no way he told you to go back where
-
you come from. You can believe that no hell on
-
God's cleaner. But he tell you that they've fucking start
-
it and go back to a sand castle.
-
I'm glad to be a part of a rock castle.
-
They're not a sentadle.
-
I love that.
-
Let's gather in the altar right now and pray for
-
that and mine God. I want to be living in
-
a rock castle, not a sand castle. Thank God, Lord,
-
is our desire.
-
You said you would give us the desires of our hardest,
-
our desire.
-
Lord, to be build on the rock.
-
Oh Jesus Christ, it's our desire for Bethel to be
-
anchored in Jesus, rooted, grounded on the rock, rock.
-
Solid ground. Somebody tonight, God speaking to you. The entire
-
service has been speaking to you. And get rooted, get grounded.
-
Get on that foundation. It's stable, it's steady, it's firm.
-
You don't that.
-
Firm foundation, You on that firm foundation. Praise the Lord. Hey, ma'am,
-
the man Jesus, He's weeaking to somebody tonight. I'm convinced
-
of it. Be rooted, be firmly, rooted, grounded in the
-
day of Jesus. Lord, It's okay for me to be
-
where I could grow. It's okay for me to be
-
somewhere where I could prosper. I have to be somewhere's
-
can do so for I will be inspirited with.
-
Lord.
-
It's your will that we be anchored and the wrong
-
because the storms are coming to the storms, earthquakes will
-
take place, so that the storm of the play that
-
don't feel that free, don't fill on that fault line.
-
Build on the rock, the mountain, the mountains.
-
There all around position. If you need to pray through sand,
-
prey through it right now. Leaves that sand and come
-
over to the rock. You need to pray through the
-
secular music, do it right now, get build on.
-
The rock, shine and little of the storm.
-
Wrong to bound down.
-
The mountains say by.
-
All around me, see.
-
It sound nis that solid nail. We need a scheving man,
-
I need a green to go you worping, not turn
-
when there's gover death to turn to to humanatll to
-
we nobody wants this.
-
So only.
-
When there not founda is stable.
-
I go to the rock. He's a like.
-
I do you up myself a shine A good style
-
up to me prejected rounding mount to down the mountain,
-
stay by me.
-
When the dog around me see me sun.
-
Dog lifestyle, solid around my stand will.
-
A shelter away on again wren gold.
-
Round or heaping.
-
I have.
-
To the storms of all past over. We're my don
-
around windows a wind sorrowing.
-
Hois ever.
-
In those times of the.
-
Tribulation with my sordis consolation on the corner round.
-
I left right through my salvation shine the corner.
-
Stone let the reject you walk to you about in
-
the mountain.
-
Sand by.
-
When the earth all around me? To see in sand.
-
Dog the rice that solid around that stand when I
-
need a shelter, when I need.
-
A brand, did I go to the rout of pselvation,
-
go to.
-
The stall at the building rejective want to about detains
-
the mountains stand by me.
-
When the hair all around me seeking sad doll.
-
But I started selling it on myself when the shelter,
-
when a.
-
Turn to talk, we know that want this take around.
-
Rock my salvation, go to list home actual to redected,
-
run to the mound to tame the mountains.
-
And by army.
-
With the earth door around sick in sale. What's that
-
solid rock gust? When chapter the Prayer val we're all
-
working at
