  5. someone walks in that hasn't been there in the last

  6. day or two, and they asked the question, why does

  7. the house smell like fish? Does anybody know what I'm

  8. talking about? Or Mama been fixing collared.

  9. Greens or mustard greens and all that good spiritual grub.

  10. And somebody walked in and said, it smells like greens

  11. in here.

  12. Where's the cornbread?

  13. Mama said, well, I cooked that several hours ago. It's

  14. already been devoured, but it's still smelled like greens. Thank God,

  15. Why do you smell like that? If you have your Bible,

  16. will you turn with me to the Book of Hebrews,

  17. chapter number nine. We'll be looking at versus number thirteen

  18. and verse number fourteen. I do pastor the people in

  25. number thirteen and fourteen.

  26. Brother. Now, when they.

  27. Saw the boldness of Peter and John and perceived that

  28. they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled, and they

  29. took knowledge of them that they had been with Jesus

  30. and beholding the man which was healed, standing with them.

  31. They could say nothing against it. Why wouldn't they act

  32. that way they had been with Jesus. Of course they're

  33. acting that way. They learned something in three and a

  34. half years of ministry. Praise the Lord, Brother jesse Daniel,

  35. chapter number.

  36. Three, verst Number twenty seven.

  37. And the princes, governors and captains, and the kings counselors,

  38. being gathered together, saw these men upon whose bodies the

  39. fire had no power, nor was in the hair of

  40. their head singed. Neither were their coats changed, nor the

  41. smell of.

  42. Fire had passed on them.

  43. They didn't smell like Nevakannezzar's fires smoking.

  44. They smelt like their Savior, tays the Lord. They have

  45. been with Jesus in the middle of their child.

  46. Let's stand Hebrews, chapter number nine, verses number thirteen and fourteen.

  47. The Bible says, worth the blood of bulls and of goats,

  48. and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling the unclean sactified

  49. to the purifying of the flesh. How much more shall

  50. the blood of Christ, who through the eternal spirit offered

  51. himself without spot to God, perjured conscience from dead works

  52. to serve serve the Living God. The blood of Christ,

  53. who through the eternal spirit offered himself without spot to God,

  54. purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God.

  55. It'll purge your conscience from dead works to serve.

  56. The living God.

  57. It'll purge your conscience from dead works to serve the

  58. living God. Let's pray, Heavenly Father, we think that we

  59. praise you for the opportunity.

  60. To be here tonight.

  61. I think you for what the Spirit of God has

  62. said to the church.

  63. Tonight in warning your people of chat GPT.

  64. I pray that you would anoint this thy servant said

  65. of God at my mouth, and help me to say

  66. the things you would have me to say, nothing more

  67. or less an what the ears of this people, that

  68. they might hear what the Spirit of God says, and

  69. to the church tonight through the preach.

  70. Not of my words, but of your words.

  71. We pray God, we give you praise, honoring glory in

  72. Jesus' name in the church, said heymen, and may we

  73. depart this place joyfully and not sorrowfully again preaching a

  74. message the Holy Ghost title why do you smell like that?

  75. Our text is found in a New Testament book of

  76. the Holy Bible.

  77. The Book of Hebrews.

  78. This Book of Hebrews is a blessing to those who

  79. read it, whether Jew or Gentile.

  80. Hold on to that for the years to come.

  81. Someone will tell you that the Book of Hebrews is

  82. not relevant to you as a gentile believer, because it

  83. was directed to Hebrew people.

  84. This book of the Bible.

  85. Was directed to Jewish believers while they were living in Rome.

  86. But it is all so profitable for all Christians, whether

  87. Jew are gentile.

  88. And it's for us.

  89. All the writings of this Book of the Bible is

  90. for us. All throughout this sacred writing, the author whom

  91. I believe to be the Apostle Paul, he makes it clearer.

  92. To the believer that Jesus was able.

  93. To do so much more than any other priest or sacrifice.

  94. He's able to do so much more than any other

  95. priest can do, because he is the great High Priest,

  96. He's the son of God, and he is the substitutionary sacrifice.

  97. He shoved you out of the way, put himself in

  98. your place, and died upon that cross and pain to

  99. send death. And I'm thankful that he was able to

  100. do more than any other priest or any other.

  101. Sacrifice could do. He was much better.

  102. As a sacrifice for our sins than a bull, a goat,

  103. or rim.

  104. Brother Richard Jacob, I'm thankful that the.

  105. Apostle Paul did everything he could do to convince Jewish

  106. and Gentile Christians that it was unnecessary to revert back

  107. to keeping the Mosaic Law. Only these Jewish people were

  108. being pressured to go back to honoring the Mosaic Law.

  109. Some of that was not a problem at all.

  110. That they were willing to do some of the things

  111. that were found there in the Mosaic Law. The sanitary

  112. code should be kept by all members of humanity, past,

  113. present and future. Aren't you thankful that Moses taught them

  114. what to do with their ways than to buy products

  115. of certain things I'm very thankful for that. But concerning

  116. the ceremonial law, there was no need whatsoever for them

  117. to ever offer animal sacrifice unto God Almighty.

  118. Again, they had been blood washed and soaked in the ruby.

  119. Red blood of the lad They had taken a blood

  120. bath in that.

  121. Wonderful soul cleansing fountain.

  122. How many of you tonight can say you have taken

  123. a blood bath and you have.

  124. Been washed clean of your sin.

  125. That soul that belongs to God is squeaky clean tonight,

  126. including your conscience.

  127. Praise the Lord.

  128. It's been cleansed from dead works, and you are now

  129. a living and a breathing, vibrant new creature in Christ Jesus.

  130. You see, King Jesus had proven a much better sacrifice

  131. for these people's sin than any other bullet, lamb, dove

  132. or God Good. How many people here tonight know how

  133. to butcher an animal? You are not a priest, and

  134. you have never offered animal sacrifice unto any deity, But

  135. you have butchered an animal. Since the sinding Ealy knows

  136. how to good of hobbs. He knows how to book

  137. a hawk, cut it off and throw the remnants into

  138. a pan fried up. Praise the Lord. How many of

  139. you have ever butchered an animal?

  140. Just go ahead and loosen up with lighting up here, homie,

  141. you murderers.

  142. Praise God.

  143. You had to kill that pig in order to have

  144. ham right, you had to kill up a a.

  145. Pork, your pig, in order to have some bacon.

  146. And so these priests, they were very familiar with slaying

  147. that sacrificial animal, and they were most familiar with segmenting

  148. it and offering it upon an altar of sacrificing.

  149. For any priest that's ever.

  150. Done blood sacrifice or anybody that's ever butchered an animal,

  151. you know that after washing up and beling up to

  152. the altar or beling up to the table, sometimes you'll

  153. notice that there is something amiss with the situation.

  154. There was a certain aroma of going on. I remember

  155. being a little boy and being in the.

  156. Presence of my grandfather Willard, and.

  157. There was a certain aroma emitting from his body. In fact,

  158. until this day, when I walk through certain stores in

  159. the fragrance department, I notice certain smells and immediately it

  160. brings back a memory of brother Bill Houston or mister

  161. Willard Howell.

  162. There's some of.

  163. You in this building, you smell like a bath and

  164. body works. I'm telling you right here in the House

  165. of God, and I'm not preaching against the use of fragrances,

  166. but I want to caution you that if you ever

  167. go into the Smoky or the Rocky mount smelling like

  168. apple butter, every bear in the region.

  169. Is going to know you're there, and he's going to

  170. know that you smell like bath.

  171. If bodyworks apple butter a pre You South Floridians and

  172. like to smell like coconut, better be careful getting aboard

  173. an airplane and traveling to the Caribbean Islands with Brother

  174. Nathaniel and Eye, because every monkey on the island will

  175. be trilling.

  176. You want to correct that him.

  177. I'm telling you right here tonight, those of you that

  178. are murderers and animal butchers, you know very well.

  179. What it is that I'm talking about.

  180. After you've done that, indeed, there isn't a role whether

  181. that you cannot get off of you. There is a

  182. scent or a fragrance that is very unapleasing, and that

  183. is the scent of blood. Even though there was no

  184. resi no residential evidence of blood.

  185. On your hands, the smell was there? Right? Am I

  186. telling it right? I'll come on now.

  187. In high school I had a drama class. There were

  188. a lot of times around Christmas time that I took

  189. the role of Ebenezer Scrooge.

  190. You'll find out where I'm going.

  191. I can tell your wills are turning to not wondering

  192. what in the world is he talking about?

  193. And how will the Holy Ghost pull all of this together?

  194. But when I was in high school, I had a

  195. drama class.

  196. I took on the role year after year of Ebenezer Scrooge.

  197. Sometimes in the mornings, I would go to the broadcasting

  198. room and get on Panther TV and.

  199. Speak to the students in the local high school. In

  200. my high school English honors teacher she figured out to

  201. be and another student in her class were involved in

  202. acting and drama and brother Nathaniel. She asked us to

  203. act out our studies or our lessons for the days

  204. and says to how.

  205. We were studying WILLIAMS. Shakespeare's and writings.

  206. And I'm not encouraging any sanctified believer tonight to.

  207. Study the writings.

  208. Of William Shakespeare. They are not good, wholesome writings. I

  209. am not endorsing his writings.

  210. But I remember one particular play written by William Shakespeare

  211. that we had to act out. I can tell you

  212. exactly where we were standing when we began to act

  213. out to play titled Macbeth. How many of you remember

  214. the play McBeth. I'm walking around right now, nowhere near

  215. my Bible or the sacred desk of just preaching from

  216. my heart right now. I remember as we were acting

  217. out Macbeth, we learned of two primary characters, one of

  218. them being Macbeth and the other one Lady Macbeth.

  219. And it's been about.

  220. Thirty something years ago, Sister Hannah, since.

  221. I was in high school.

  222. Well, but they're me and a fellow student was acting

  223. out to Lady Macbeth and Macbeth.

  224. And Lady Macbeth was doing everything she.

  225. Could do to persuade Macbeth to commit.

  226. Some sort of great evil.

  227. That great evil was to murder political opponents. There was

  228. one particular dignitaria, like y'all help me right here, one

  229. particular political opponent or somebody that occupied a certain space

  230. office named Duncan, and Lady Macbeth would tell Macbeth that

  231. you have to remove him and take him out in

  232. order to advance in order to take his seat, in

  233. order to occupy his throne, You're gonna have to get

  234. your hands dirty.

  235. And I'm telling you I remember thinking about that.

  236. I thought, my mama, how people.

  237. Will manipulate people in order to accomplish her what they

  238. themselves want to accomplish her. And sure enough, for manipulation

  239. of Macbeth, Lady Macbeth, she convinced Macbeth to commit murder.

  240. And if I remember.

  241. Correctly, Lady Macbeth said, after a while, she said, all

  242. I see and all I smell is blood.

  243. I feel the senter of death. I smell the senter

  244. of death.

  245. My conscience, it's horrified on the dayly basis. Oh, come

  246. on now, I believe that there's people in this building

  247. that are haunted by their unrepentent I believe they're haunted

  248. by their unrepented sin.

  249. There's something about the way the brain works.

  250. Because once it's smell death, it is an unforgettable scent.

  251. In the spelling tonight are three undertakers, and they would

  252. tell you there is nothing in the world and all

  253. like the scent or the smell of dead. They can

  254. tell you their nostrils can remember the metallic smell, the

  255. iron and.

  256. The human logan.

  257. I remember hearing years ago somebody describate like this.

  258. They said, some metallic smell. It's one that I cannot forget.

  259. It's an unforgetable scent.

  260. I'm telling you, I said a little while ago that

  261. I can steal walk through some department stairs and smell

  262. my granddaddy. There's been times that I've looked to the

  263. left and I've looked to the right, expecting to see him.

  264. Because from the time.

  265. I was a two year road and riding in Papa's

  266. truckt en until the time he died, there was a

  267. certain senterm about Willard Hal, and I associate that senterm

  268. with Willard Hal. Come on, now, you see these priests,

  269. the author of Hebrews was talking about.

  270. They knew what the smell of blood was. There was

  271. a lot of times that they came home smelling like blood.

  272. Their life would have known more of smelling life, The

  273. children would have.

  274. Known more of smelling life.

  275. That could cause these being more consecrated people. And there

  276. was blood on their ears, there was blood on their thumb,

  277. there was blood on their.

  278. Turn The stitch of death was in the air. There

  279. had been a cleansing.

  280. Something special had taken place the Bibles. Without the shedding

  281. of blood, there is no remission of sin and no texting.

  282. He was not a thirteen b like this, and how

  283. much more shot the blood of Christ who through eternal spirit.

  284. Offered himself without spot to God. Purge of your conscience

  285. for dead works to serve the living God.

  286. Recently I met a.

  287. Preacher, and while speaking to him, I wondered what that

  288. smell was.

  289. There was a.

  290. Meeting from his body, and as.

  291. We continued the fellowship, I thought, that does not smell right.

  292. In one particular time, he leaned on.

  293. From got really close to me, and I recognized the smell.

  294. That I used to smell.

  295. For my father in law. My father in law.

  296. Was a change smoker and sister.

  297. How of immediately I knew that was the smell of

  298. Marlboro cigarettes.

  299. And I thought, by my mind, why do you spill

  300. like that?

  301. I'm preaching tonight a sermon, tyler, Why do you spill

  302. like that?

  303. I listened to his conversation.

  304. I listen to how his heart smoke whenever he spoke

  305. on such the depths of his heart. Because the Bible

  306. said out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.

  307. I wanted to know him by the presence with a

  308. company of a hypocrite.

  309. It's this man smoking Marlboro cigarettes.

  310. While it's not at church. Why is the sent he

  311. meaning from his body?

  312. But when I listened to his conversation, when I looked

  313. upon his worship, I could tell that this man was

  314. still smoker. And Brother, Nathan, you as I continue to

  315. listen to him and refuse the false accuse him and

  316. refuse it, to allow on him, and refuse.

  317. To listen to the gossip goblin's gossip. Oh, come on

  318. to the rumor, rambless randling.

  319. As I lead in the heart and pondered it and

  320. prayed about it, I realize God could.

  321. Give me the answer. It wasn't too long after I

  322. felt the spirit.

  323. Of God speak to me and he said, I was

  324. solve this mystery.

  325. That preacher said.

  326. Listen.

  327. He said, listen, I've been over.

  328. There trying to help my brother before church tonight, and

  329. he's a chain smoker. I knew right there in there,

  330. why this man my smoke? This is still over the

  331. son of your head. It'll make sense out here. Hit

  332. a minute and come home. This man went to see

  333. his father, who was a smoker, and they spent like

  334. a smoker.

  335. Himself due to his association. Who with wrong?

  336. And that's out of us? Who the children of God?

  337. You can tell when they're they're reading the Bible.

  338. You can tell where.

  339. They they're going to the House of God. You can

  340. tell when they've been in the pentecostle.

  341. Annoying his services.

  342. You compill a Christian from somebody that pretends up to.

  343. Be a Christian.

  344. You can tell a genuine Christian from a counterfeit a Christian.

  345. Come on, he went to see.

  346. His brother who was a smoker, and he spent him

  347. like a smoker.

  348. That pusson on the child.

  349. You're not to chooses, we're not to cheering, we're not

  350. to judge.

  351. But he can tell that they ain't been to see

  352. their Master and aloud ain't in there. Just keeping the

  353. left in a while.

  354. Left thing you want that is book for a while,

  355. that thing you take after another.

  356. Long let's call a lile let.

  357. I'm not talking about to ride it, tuck combos.

  358. I'm talking about the mother.

  359. Let's come Jesus. It will tear the conscience.

  360. I see you think there will say ain't gonna smell

  361. let like the save Let's I said.

  362. They don't smell all like to save up they.

  363. Claim to be part of.

  364. HOWELU praise the Lord. The smell of blood stays on

  365. a person. The smell of smoke does too. If you

  366. go around it, it will get on you. It will

  367. attach itself to you, will it not?

  368. Oh?

  369. Yes, it does. The Bible said not to learn the

  370. way of an ankle man.

  371. Bless you learn his ways and get a snare to

  372. your soul. You hop them with a charismatic preacher.

  373. Long enough, you mensen Meyr in a mixed congregation. Long enough,

  374. somebody's gonna have some world in offspring. Somebody's gonna have

  375. some confused offspring. They're gonna lose what was a holiness church.

  376. They're gonna lose what they did have as a holiness standard.

  377. I'm telling you, when you come in to the company.

  378. Of people and they spill like the world, they are

  379. people of.

  380. The world curing of something. Years ago, their preachers used

  381. to preach like this.

  382. They said words like this, They said statements and expressions

  383. and praise us like this.

  384. It looks like a duck. It been quacks like a duck.

  385. That's like a duck.

  386. It is a dunk.

  387. You know why these people they're calling Christian soth In

  388. the region of Antiocha, it has.

  389. Been calling some they.

  390. Were like christ.

  391. It is not good for somebody left to stand up

  392. and say he's my savior.

  393. Then I can't even call myself a Christian.

  394. I'm a sinner.

  395. Oh no, you're not.

  396. If you get to a self and then run you

  397. up for jus the thing sack of.

  398. Surrender that you will come out.

  399. A satan enough a sinner. Hey, I preaching to you here,

  400. and I why be a snail? I'm calling us, Why

  401. be your lot?

  402. I'm holding us because you can rubbing up again the

  403. buck and you been running by this that solder he

  404. help your savior.

  405. Spell of go to stay with her?

  406. A spell of smoke does two. If you go run

  407. again on you, you're gonna smell like it. It will

  408. attach itself to you.

  409. Oh yes.

  410. A young man starts listening to the country music. There's

  411. a reason for that. A young man starts lip seeking.

  412. They world the songs.

  413. There's a reason for that. Somebody starts acting out of cancer.

  414. There's a reason for that. Somebody starts visiting in a church,

  415. it no longer promotes truth and lifeous listen, R.

  416. There's a reason for that.

  417. All the power of your puets.

  418. If you're not careful, you'll get smoking your eyes, the

  419. smoke of never connisser.

  420. It was not in the eyes of the three he

  421. rich sais I'm again a preacher.

  422. They would definitely cast her into the fire. I've never

  423. commissur that they did not have to smell. I've never conniser,

  424. just keeping them. They learned the battlelgue. There's God.

  425. Don't tell me.

  426. I'm wanting to know you, to know if you ain't

  427. talking right, that's because of men.

  428. Talking till the wrong people.

  429. Then we ain't out to right. That's just because you've

  430. been around. They're not reinflaens. And I say they are

  431. my creature to you to know it.

  432. You go around, it's gonna get off on you. You

  433. go around, it's gonna get off on you. You stand there,

  434. it's gonna get off on you. I remember God convicting

  435. me and dealing with me about where I stood while working. Unfortunately,

  436. my boss.

  437. Man, for some reason, I will never understand.

  438. Declare that nobody should be playing music of any kind

  439. where his men were working, even though there was some

  440. imposed of presented arguments that they're better workers and keep

  441. a better pace if they're listening to me music while

  442. they work, and he said, no, I have a zero

  443. music policy.

  444. I believe that it is.

  445. A distraction, he said, I believe if you're.

  446. Thinking the duke and the give and the jig and

  447. the clap and the patch on put, you're not thinking

  448. about my production line, and you're not thinking about the.

  449. Quality of my product. And as a boss man, I

  450. can tell you that is the truth.

  451. I've seen people before that were supposed to be production

  452. oriented and production minded.

  453. Gotta Jeremiah get distracted and.

  566. He was early this morning when God started peace of.

  567. This message together. And God let me know if they

  901. Feel like saying this as we close. You don't have

  902. to advertise how holy you are when you've done with him,

  903. because he's holy and he will make you holy. O God,

  904. let's stand right. I just got the holy ghost taking

  905. him out. Sister Howell doesn't have to where a dang

  906. plate across turned back that says I'm holy.

  907. Because of who she runs with. He keeps a holding,

  911. Holy Jesus.

  912. But the thing is, what are you say when you've

  913. got a lame man running around who hollered and saying,

  914. glory to God, I've been healed.

  915. They said that was their opinion. These are ignorant, unlearned men.

  916. And when you read the writings of John and Peter,

  917. you can tell they were not ignorant, unlearned men.

  918. When you read the story about Moses.

  919. You could tell that he felt like he didn't have

  920. all the answers, and that he wasn't well spoken. But

  943. Judaism and the hierarchy in Judaism, he reaped tab it.

  944. He turned the place upside down. Nobody wanted him to

  945. show up in their town. It's bout like Joseph Biden

  946. knew Abeth. Nobody wants him to show.

  947. Interesting that when Paul was living in disobedience, nobody wanted

  948. him coming to the house. They scared his death. Where

  949. the will They scared stiff. You know why because he

  950. had the stitch and the smell of hypocrisy on him.

  951. You know why else because he had the sin and

  952. the smell of death of disciples on his hands. He

  953. had to sit in a Roman the spell of death.

  954. He had letters in his hands as to how that

  955. represented death.

  956. To all Christians. But then once he started carrying the

  969. them through the thicket. Then I've watched them be tested

  970. in the fire. I've watched them be tried, and they

  971. have proven true.

  972. I said, you have totally one hundred percent misjudged you

  976. I know I speak of the pot I'm having to

  977. prove to you, and she can do it. They can't

  978. stand it when you represent what can be and what

  979. should be.

  980. They can't stand it with.

  981. Somebody that is living right because they've been with their

  982. master and been with a buck comes in their company.

  983. Let me share this before we pray, because I'm doing

  984. what the holicos said.
