  6. of the Lord with you all tonight.

  8. health of the vest of Holderness Church and all of

  9. our brothers and sisters that are part of our church family.

  10. God is truly doing something wonderful amongst our friends and family.

  11. I'm thankful for that. Praise the Lord.

  12. I appreciate every testimony that was given tonight. I thank

  13. you for the prayers you pray for Sister.

  14. Howell and I throughout the years.

  15. I'm thankful that you're burying your brother's burdens. We appreciate it.

  16. My brother Jesse, John of chapter number three, Versus number

  17. ten and chapter number four and verse number one, the

  18. last verse of chapter number three and the first verse

  19. of chapter number four. Brother Nathaniel Joe chapter number two

  20. and verse number nine, And beloved, we will be looking

  21. at Philippians chapter number four and verse number five. Oh, yes,

  22. that wonderful chapter in the Book of Philippians, the fourth chapter. Youah,

  23. brother Jesse, Joah Champion number three, verse number ten, and

  24. first number one of chapter four.

  25. Would you read that, brother.

  26. If God saw their words, that they turned from their

  27. evil way, and God repented of the evil that he

  28. had said that he would do unto them, and he

  29. did it not, but it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and.

  30. He was very angry.

  31. Amen, how many of you are thankful that the Lord

  32. has never tainted his testimony? I want to preach a

  33. message the Holy Ghost title, don't taint your testimony. Brother

  34. Nathaniel Job, chapter number two and verse number nine.

  35. Then said his wife unto him, dost thou still retain

  36. that integrity? Curse God and die.

  37. Job's wife was willing to allow her testimony to become tainted,

  38. but Job refuse to allow his testimony to be attainted.

  39. Let's stand Philippians, Chapter number four, verse number five. I

  40. will try to bring this verse to your attention tonight

  41. and preach on it as the Lord leads. I don't

  42. know that I've ever heard anyone teach or preach on this.

  43. Particular verse of the Bible.

  44. So I need your prayers.

  45. The Bible said, let your moderation be known unto all men.

  46. The Lord is at hand. May we pray, Heavenly Father,

  47. we love and we praise you. We thank you for

  48. your goodness, We thank you for your mercy. I thank

  49. you for the opportunity to be in your house tonight.

  50. I prayed that.

  51. You would help this thy servants, set a guard at

  52. my mouth and help me to say the things that

  53. you would have me to say, nothing more or less.

  54. An DearS with this thy people, that they might hear

  55. what the spare God says unto the church tonight, for

  56. they have open years. I know they do, and they're

  57. willing to listen to hearken into heed.

  58. I thank you for that.

  59. Lord.

  60. I pray that you would help us to demark this place.

  61. Joe Colin, not sorrowfully in Jesus' name in the church,

  62. said Amen, as you're being seated, look at your neighbor

  63. and say, hey, neighbor, don't tain't your testimony. Our text

  64. is found in a New Testament book of the Holy Bible.

  65. This book is a Pauline epistle. Most present tonight or

  66. quite familiar with how this mighty work for the Lord

  67. Jesus begin in that part of the world.

  68. Those of you that read your.

  69. Bible, you will remember that the Apostle Paul was visited

  70. by a man particular, perhaps an angelic being or an

  71. actual person in the region of Macedonia, and.

  72. The Apostle Paul received a Macedonian call, and when he

  73. went into this area, he found a group of wonderful,

  74. god fearing, godly women that were having prayer meeting down

  75. by the riverside. Down by the river side, a beautiful

  76. thing began. God gave these precious sisters a wonderful man

  77. of God to help guide them to that celestial city Heaven.

  78. Could you imagine the feeling that they felt when they

  79. realized none other than the Great Apostle Paul have been

  80. chosen by God to come and help them specifically. Sister

  81. Wooton approached this poolpit this past Sunday night spoke to

  82. me for about seven minutes. I don't know how long

  83. it's been since she has required that much of my

  84. time after a service, but I enjoyed every second of it,

  85. Brother Jesse, she said, with tears flowing down her face.

  86. Face and a trembling voice.

  87. She said, Pastor, to be honest with you, I do

  88. not know where I would be tonight if it had.

  89. Not been for you obeying the Lord eighteen years ago

  90. and coming down here and preaching to me. I'm telling

  91. you she spent at least six or seven minutes crying,

  92. Sister Howell, seemingly uncontrollably, and praising the Lord for what

  93. God did for her.

  94. She said, I so.

  95. Desperately needed a holiness church with holiness people and a

  96. holiness pastor, and God hurting my prayer and granted that request.

  97. Are y'all feeling what I'm a feeling right now?

  98. Can you imagine with that Greek woman Lydia, who had

  99. converted from Paganism to Judaism, realized that the Apostle Paul

  100. was present to present salvation and Christianity to them and

  101. lead and guide them into perfection. Oh brother, oh cap

  102. I'm sure a lot of the saints of Philippi were

  103. thankful for a God that could speak to old men and.

  104. Young men through dreams and visions.

  105. I'm sure they were thankful that there was a spiritual

  106. man whose heartbeat was beating because of God, and it

  107. was beating for them, Brother Nathaniel. Apostle Paul received that

  108. vision while he was in the city of True ass

  109. and over the years, I'm sure there were a lot

  110. of testimonies given about that particular moment in his life.

  111. I preached a whole lot about this god fearing woman,

  112. Lydia over the years. In fact, Lisa Byrd approached me

  113. one time and she said, Pastor, you ought to write

  114. a book on the woman of Lydia and the church

  115. at Philippie. Truly, this woman was a blessing to the

  116. people of her area, and she's also.

  117. Been a blessing to me over the years.

  118. I had found it to be a blessing to study

  119. behind the life of this wonderful woman of God. And

  120. the Apostle Paul and his fellow laborer's brother Samuel Howell,

  121. they too were blessed by this precious saint of God.

  122. You will remember one particular time when Lydia and the

  123. saints at the Church of philip Pie wrapped a special

  124. offering up and sent it by the hand of Eperditis

  125. to Apostle Paul while he was in prison and a

  126. Roman prison and sister Howell ed returned.

  127. The Apostle Paul.

  128. Gave the Philippian church this Pauline epistle. Again, this is

  129. a Pauline epistle written from a Roman prison after they

  130. sent a gift or a love opera to the Apostle Paul.

  131. He recippocated with this wonderful Pauline epistle four chapters. You're

  132. looking at him right now, some of you are flipping

  133. through the pages of this book of the Bible, and

  134. this is Apostle Paul's gift.

  135. To the Church at Philippi. The affection that Paul had

  136. for the saints of Philippi was no secret then, nor

  137. is it now.

  138. For this afternoon, and reading through these four chapters, I

  139. found numerous evidences of his affection for these people in

  140. this area.

  141. The feelings were mutual. They loved Paul, and Paul loved

  142. with him.

  143. The Church of Philippi supported Paul in many different ways,

  144. most importantly prayerfully and financially. They gave to him through

  145. their courier brother Epidotus, and Paul reciprocated affectionately with this

  146. Pauline epistle.

  147. Or a letter.

  148. One of the favorite chapters in this Bible of many

  149. people in this building.

  150. Tonight is the fourth chapter of Philippians. There's several scriptures

  151. in this chapter that many present.

  152. Tonight can recite. Since the how as a.

  153. Young man I begin to memorize the most of this

  154. fourth chapter of this book.

  155. We could talk about the fourth chapter in the fourth.

  156. Verse of this book, where it says, rejoice in the

  157. Lord alway, and again.

  158. I say rejoice. A lot of you could quote.

  159. The Philympians chapter number four, verse number eight, and chapter

  160. number four and verse number thirteen.

  161. Say it with me. I could do all things true Christ.

  162. Which strengtheneth me, Not who strengtheneth me, but which strengtheneth me. Philympians,

  163. chapter number four, Verse number nineteen is a scripture that

  164. many people can quote. And there's many others in this

  165. particular chapter. But let's add one to that list of favorites.

  166. Tonight shall with this fifth verse of very many people

  167. over looks, mister Howell, you were the first lady here

  168. at the Bethel Holiness Church, and I dare say that

  169. you have. I have no idea whatsoever that particular verse means.

  170. If you look at that fifth verse, it says, let

  171. your moderation be known unto all men.

  172. The Lord is at hand.

  173. How many of you know the definition of that word

  174. of moderation.

  175. Before you raise your hand and before you answer me,

  176. you need to hold off.

  177. I looked at the definition of that word. It is

  178. one of the most debated words in all of the

  179. Sacred rip and sixty six books in the Bible. That

  180. particular word is one of the most debated words.

  181. Concerned its definition.

  182. I believe the Lord has helped me understand a little

  183. bit about that particular word. It can mean a witness,

  184. it can mean testimony. Let your moderation be known before all.

  185. Let your gentleness be known before all. Let your forgiveness

  186. be known before all. Let your patience, though undeserving.

  187. Be known before all.

  188. Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord

  189. is at hand this versus telling the church people to

  190. fill the power the Pentecostal and Holiness people of many

  191. different generations and those.

  192. That are members of the Fiftal Holiness.

  193. Church to allow the spirit to be gentle to all people,

  194. no matter what you're going through. Come on now, It's

  195. telling us to be gentle to all people at all times,

  196. no matter what we as individuals are going through.

  197. Paul is telling every believer that the Holy.

  198. Garst will require a Christian to possess a characteristic that

  199. is gentle.

  200. And fair to and one.

  201. Because the Lord is literally standing beside the Christian, notice

  202. the latter part of that fifth versa, the Lord is

  203. at hand. This is not speaking concerning the coming of

  204. the Lord. No, it is speaking that the Lord is

  205. literally right beside you at all times, in the same.

  206. Way that he is standing.

  207. Or sitting next to the right hand of the Father.

  208. You, as a Christian, you can testify that.

  209. The Lord is with you all way. He said he

  210. would go with you all way, and that's reason enough

  211. to rejoice. Oh way, let me ask us a question

  212. here tonight, when circumstances.

  213. Change and what flows out of.

  214. Your character or you like a coat father, all shook up.

  215. And ready to spew.

  216. Out, and whenever something doesn't go your way. When you

  217. notice the author of this epistle, you have to kind of.

  218. Repel back and think a little bit.

  219. About who it is that is putting pen in department

  220. and sending this message out. This is a man that

  221. practices what he preaches. Sister Howell, you'll notice who wrote

  222. to let your moderation be known unto all men of.

  223. God figured it out yet, Paul said.

  224. Paul wrote that by the Jesse, and it's our golden

  225. text here tonight. When you back up to that post

  226. just before go in text and said rejoice in the

  227. Lord all way.

  228. And again I say rejoice.

  229. So these people knew who it was that had heard

  230. from God, and.

  231. Who it was that had showed up on.

  232. Their front doorsteps, so to speak, and who it was

  233. that preached to them and helped them plant that church

  234. and get things started there concerning.

  235. Their church family.

  236. Since the who he was no strange or whatsoever to

  237. these people. And they knew who wrote the letter? Do

  238. you know those of labor among you? The Bible said

  239. that you ought to know those individuals and intimate of

  240. a special way before you get to intertwired when they get.

  241. Too involved with you.

  242. These people knew that Paul knew them. They knew paula

  243. as good as Ruth and the love of position knew him.

  244. They knew Paul is good a Silas knew him. He said,

  245. what does this happen to do with me? What in

  246. the word are you preaching about tonight?

  247. Listen?

  248. They knew that when Paul came to fill Upie, that

  249. it was Paul that had been in.

  250. Prisoned for obeying the Lord.

  251. There's a lot of people they would have regretted answering

  252. the Macedonian Carter, they would have regretted developing a princeship

  253. with Lydia and the other believers. Apostle Paul poured back

  254. the sweat and tears into this church family, into these individuals,

  255. and they knew he was currently in prison in Rome.

  256. They are sitting there, prodde us with a care package,

  257. if you would, and they're looking at the letter and

  258. they realize this fam was not only imprison in Rome,

  259. he was in prison.

  260. Right here in our land.

  261. And pack of miny a sermon he has been preached about.

  262. Child that's been preached about Paul insidea at the midnight hour,

  263. having prayer, meeting and singing songs. You wont where they

  264. being bad and fill the pie. They did it after preaching.

  265. They did it after pie in the church, after trying

  266. to hit somebody like an Irish Newton, they went to

  267. hell and hell the hell they'll.

  268. Come on now. I'm trying to preach to you here tonight.

  269. I'm asking you why in the world when you see

  270. all their people and they are pushing on and they

  271. are preserving her, They're all salvation. Look here and trembling there,

  272. They're preserving hem. They're on salvation to the power of

  273. the Holy Girls.

  274. How can you come to church and tain't you a testimony?

  275. How can you stand outside with a sign in your head,

  276. with a frown on your pace, walk in the herd?

  277. He's going on in your life to cause you.

  278. To take your testimony and run to the.

  279. Last the dying Lord. You ain't been to be blacking

  280. blue to day for their meeting.

  281. It at mean, not hour, I'm telling you, Apostle Paul.

  282. He said, records don't Then he.

  283. Said, doty a line that test the moon it to be.

  284. It's amazing to me how people can rejoice when all

  285. the bills are paid, when they're getting new houses, when

  286. they're getting new investment properties.

  287. When they're getting paid raises, when their bank account is climbing.

  288. On a daily basis, when they get a good report

  289. from the family position, when Luke is saying to Paul, hey,

  290. you're in good health, Apostle Paul's praying for everybody.

  291. That they would be in good health and that they

  292. would prosper even as their soul prosperous.

  293. But if silence is looking at you, Paul, Lord and saying,

  294. why or why would they beat the.

  295. Man of God like that? Why or why.

  296. Would they shut him up in the innermost part of

  297. the prison. The Paul can say, rejoice, rejoice, What about

  298. you right now?

  299. If you lost your pastor to death?

  300. What about you right now? If you lost your pastor

  301. to the will of God we wing him somewhere else?

  302. What about you right now? If your fouse drop dead?

  303. What about you right now? If you're truk tad tomorrow?

  304. What would your spouse food? What would your children do?

  305. If you lost your job tomorrow? Would your moderation be

  306. at head, which your check the spirit still be at head,

  307. which a forgiven spirit still be at head?

  308. Which your town spirit still be at hand?

  309. Let me no wrong in in all day, get out

  310. a situation. If you won't be contentment, it's not gonna

  311. do a bit of good. If I preach a message

  312. like this and we don't change, it's not gonna do

  313. a bit of good.

  314. If I preach a message like this and you don't answer.

  315. We can condemn Eath.

  316. And Rotate all we want to, after he's been rebooked

  317. by the Lord. We can condemn Jordy Wallace all we

  318. want to, after he's been repeeted by Lord.

  319. But there have been other people in this building.

  320. That have been repeats repeated that have you went back

  321. and listened to the message?

  322. Sleep proceeds? Are you still sitting in that pupil asleep?

  323. Are you still not running around the church? Are you

  324. still not praising God right there? Are you still not

  325. looking up your mess rock a trumpet? Are you still

  326. coming in the church and.

  327. Everybody else in the head and wondering if your cat died,

  328. wondering if you lost your job. Even when you're pasting,

  329. it's supposed to be undisoldble and unrecognizable, even.

  330. At for seeking God. There should be nobody knowing. It's

  331. telling on me. I'll tell you so if I've been

  332. notnosed with cancer today, who wouldn't have known it? How

  333. to preach him? Black God preaching?

  334. Now?

  335. Listen, repeating party, it's not let Paul, what's an immercas too?

  336. Then I'm telling you hear not? What's your moderation? And

  337. knowing it been O meal right? Because the Lord here

  338. is mearby.

  339. Sister Howell said, she said that you know jes his

  340. wife Hannah God on that peace Sunday morning.

  341. I said, no, honey, God's blessed the quiry. It is

  342. increased in numbers. I can't see past acquiry anymore, hard line,

  343. making a habit of staring at the parishioners.

  344. In the view, I'm making a habit of worship of God.

  345. And let my moderation be on, Let my gentle.

  346. Spirit be known, my patience be known, my forgiveness be known.

  347. I know the world's done me wrong, but I forgive them.

  348. I know my brother's done me wrong, but I forgive him.

  349. I know my sister's done me wrong, but I forgive her.

  350. Or no woman, I'm talking about church family that does

  351. us wrong.

  352. The customers may have done you wrong. The boss man

  353. may have done you wrong.

  354. When you're study this word moderation, it literally means you

  355. were in a place when you could have brought somebody

  356. to judgment.

  357. By the letter of the law. You would have been

  358. okay to do so.

  359. But to step back, and you let mercy prevail, he says,

  360. for son of Pie and exemplified in Jesus's handling on

  361. a woman culture than the very actor.

  362. Don't the little along and I gave him permission. The

  363. stone are there.

  364. He could have picked up the stone because he wants

  365. to sinless one.

  366. He asked everybody else have you seen h are you innocent?

  367. And you know what? To walked away? But he could

  368. have held it.

  369. I'm perfects He could have held it there, perfect monciousness.

  370. He could have held it a young lady. But he said,

  371. kill me, Let's send them all. He didn't want to

  372. slide back.

  373. He never sin but he did little slide. I said

  374. that had come on, not you know, holl revent to you,

  375. but for you to sit there, but stand.

  376. There, and my God, now these servants, what do you

  377. mean to do if you don't change?

  378. And we told Jordy Wallace changed, we told Heather road

  379. Camp change. But brother each it ain't just your sign

  380. of brother justice. And I've been preaching to you. There's

  381. other people I've been preaching to you. There's some adults.

  382. I've been preaching to you.

  383. And Sister Howo saying, did you see Jesse's wife Hannah

  384. come out up you and go up and down.

  385. That center all?

  386. I said, no, I did not.

  387. She said, Sunday night, did you see Elizabeth run out

  388. of the choir? I said no, I did not. She said,

  389. they have responded to your preaching. They have responded that

  390. in what God has told him to do.

  391. Sister Tracy. I just say, if you never known about

  392. God like you did three.

  393. Or four weeks ago, your daughters could still be looking

  394. at polling the souler and refuse it, to allow their

  395. testimony to be untaken.

  396. I want you to know, no matter what's.

  397. Are going through, there's a little child. Look in the sea,

  398. how you're connecting yourself. Get in the surface.

  399. Don't come on now.

  400. I can't tell you of one time that sister Cyril

  401. Harrison Man has ever come in here. We a mad attitude.

  402. They're a God spirit, and she's been a blessing of

  403. my soul. The Apostle Paul said, let your moderation be

  404. known unto all men.

  405. Lets your patience, lets your forgiveness, let your gentleness, Let

  406. your testimony of these such things.

  407. Let it be evident, let it be shown, let it

  408. be manifested, Let it be demonstrated.

  409. And perhaps it's unlikely, but.

  410. Perhaps there was one in that congregation, just like there

  411. might be here, that he would clarify with a period

  412. and in a short sentence, the Lord is at hand.

  413. I hope you remember this fifth verse in the fourth

  414. chapter of the Book of Philippians. Luck I do after this,

  415. I hope. It's right there with I can do all

  416. things through Christ. What strengthiness me?

  417. Apostle Paul goes from the rejoice in the Lord allway,

  418. and then he goals and basically says, don't let your

  419. testimony retain it.

  420. Amen.

  421. When circumstances change, what flows out of your character?

  422. When circumstances change, what flows out of your character? You

  423. as an individual? Are you on your tiptoes tonight? And

  424. then circumstances will change it tomorrow? Notice who wrote that,

  425. let your moderation be known?

  426. And to all men?

  427. Oh, I feel like you're helping me here tonight. I

  428. don't know that I'll be preaching much longer.

  429. But Brother Nathaniel, these people remember their beginning as a

  430. church family. They remember what the Apostle Paul went through himself.

  431. Realize how much he has been willing to be spent.

  432. They realized the murden that he carries, and they realize

  433. how blessed they are.

  434. Again.

  435. They remember seeing Paul and Silas beaten with Roger and

  436. Casta in the innermost prison.

  437. They were a witness though to his joy. They were

  438. a witness to his joy. There was nobody that was

  439. a member of the Philippian Church having to send him

  440. a letter to encourage him. Don't you backslide in jail?

  441. Don't you back slid as you go through something. I

  442. don't know why it's going to God have to go

  443. through things, but they do.

  444. Jud's wife got so diskoirtage as she went and told

  445. Joe while to.

  446. Go ahead and curse God and die. I know that

  447. was a difficult spot for Job's wife to be in.

  448. I sympathize with her ten caskets with.

  449. Ten little babies in and ten young people, ten children,

  450. you know what I mean.

  451. And by in the tame you all, I know that

  452. was hard to bear.

  453. With her testimony, you hastainted recalled the fact that she

  454. told Jose to curse God and die.

  455. Lets me know she had probably already cursed God, and

  456. she had already blamed God. How come I no matter

  457. whether you're speaking or not her, your anxious needs louder.

  458. They're your Lord, So you can blame God by your

  459. refusal to praise him.

  460. That all the time, My God, Paul knew, he knew,

  461. they knew what I've been through it.

  462. And brother Jesse, they knew what and he knew what

  463. they had been to me, well, I want to preach,

  464. and I feel like God's giving me some things the

  465. same sister, how I want to say him just exactly

  466. the way.

  467. He would have me to say them.

  468. Paul rejoiced in the midst of difficult circumstances. I said,

  469. Paul rejoice in the midst of difficult circumstances.

  470. While he was doing the will of God.

  471. And something awful happened, while there was being obedient to

  472. the heaven to call him.

  473. Something offul happened, while.

  474. He was responding to the Macedonian call, something happened.

  475. What about Joonah?

  476. Though in our co text, the Bible said that Jonah reluctantly.

  477. Finely did what God told him to do, and after

  478. he preached, he was such a great preacher.

  479. After the city had repented in sack cloth and ashes,

  480. and the Bible said God had mercy on them people.

  481. The Bible said that Jonah pitched a fit. I'm telling you,

  482. Jonah was upset because his people did not get what

  483. was coming to them. They did not get what was

  484. coming to them, and Jolah was not set about it.

  485. And the end result is his testimony was tainted.

  486. Oh come on, now, you ain't getting this.

  487. What about the men that rudely shoved Paul and Silas

  488. into the innermost part of the prison. What about those

  489. that tried to slam their hands in their bron bars?

  490. What about those that shackled them to the walls and

  491. the floors of their prison?

  492. Says?

  493. What about it?

  494. What about it?

  495. Are going?

  496. Ain't getting us? That's what the hole post has given

  497. me right now.

  498. That jailer that was responsible for some of that, after

  499. that prison break, when the earthquake came and tore things apart,

  500. when the lamps that went out, that prison guard that

  501. was about to commit suicide, that prison guard that was

  502. about to end this line. Apostle Paul that his federation

  503. be known to every man in that house. And he

  504. said to the Philippian trailer, Hey, hold on a minute, stop,

  505. don't do any harm to yourself. Hey, come on, let

  506. your childness bemoaned to all men. Let your forget a

  507. spirit in mind to agen that's.

  508. Your testing on it, to know the amen. That's your weakness.

  509. You know a man that your likeness serve your Savior Jesus.

  510. Oh come on now, Paul. He ran to lem and

  511. the man ran to him. Then he said don't do

  512. yourself any harm.

  513. Oh, come on, there's some I know him personally that

  514. they would have waited for the gunshot.

  515. I know they didn't have a gun back then. They

  516. would have.

  517. Waited it for the sword.

  518. The trol from the scabbard, and the body took a

  519. collapser on the film, Oh what's in your heart here tonight?

  520. What in the world to cause you to walk in

  521. to the house of God hurting? The God put out

  522. a smile that.

  523. Your friends in as telling old, what's up of yours?

  524. Do you thyself?

  525. No harm?

  526. I know of some holiness people that would probably kill

  527. him in the darkness. He don't know up from down

  528. Right now, I'll draw this sword out of his almost

  529. cabbage and sled us through the Bible, said mercy rejoices

  530. against judgment. Who are you preaching to right now? I'll

  531. tell you about six and the seventy five? Who are

  532. you preaching to right now? I'll tell you about six

  533. of the seventy five.

  534. I need to say it again, who are you preaching

  535. to right now? About six? How to the seventy five

  536. and everyone of them from a family.

  537. I'm preaching this of people right now. Hey, your gentleness

  538. ought to be known no matter what you're going through.

  539. Your forgiveness ought to be known, your compassion, your kindness.

  540. Jonah got angry when he saw ninabouts had repented and

  541. escaped the wrath and the judgment of Almighty God. I

  542. don't know about Chaull, but I'm glad that brother Jordan

  543. has been trying to praise some things through. I'm glad

  544. that brother Ethan has decided he's not going to cater

  545. to the whims.

  546. Of the speed demon anymore. I thank God for that.

  547. Then the Bible, said Jonah.

  548. When he realized people escaped wrath and damnation, it displeased

  549. him exceedingly, and he was very angry. After he witnessed

  550. the gentleness of a forgiving and a loving God. Jonah

  551. told the Lord, I knew that you are gracious. I

  552. knew that you were merciful. I knew that you're sla

  553. ain't there. I knew that you're a great kindness up

  554. goes on Jona's words.

  555. So he knew that about his father.

  556. I said, he'd knew that talk about his father, and

  557. these people knew that about Paul.

  558. It doesn't matter her if.

  559. He was standing up or a ship, calling upon that

  560. it didn't matter how to heep he spit up there

  561. and nodding the deeper. He didn't matter if he was

  562. in the Philippian jailor or rolling person up. He's gonna

  563. have the jailor to the Lord because without a talk,

  564. he's gonna have one straight talk with this death versus Papa.

  565. Let your gentleness be known.

  566. To all men.

  567. Jonah didn't handle it well. One things did go his way.

  568. My pastor dropped dead while he was preaching. How would

  569. you handle that?

  570. Right?

  571. I can tell you this, my gods, Jesse, you ever

  572. seen me drop dead, preacher? It won't be because of

  573. God's fault. My chest is killing me right now. I

  574. keep checking my left arm our. Brother Nathaniel, I want

  575. you to know it won't be God's fault if I

  576. drop dead right now. I've never hurt now my chest

  577. while I preached, but I did Sunday morning, and I

  578. am right now.

  579. But if I had not had told you, you would

  580. have never known.

  581. And concerning about fifty of you, you're no more in

  582. the spirit to desert it to know to pray for me.

  583. I don't know I can fill my heart race or

  584. put your hand there. I don't need no penny. I'm

  585. trying to tell you a lot. You can go through

  586. things sometimes. I don't know that that's a pending heart attack.

  587. I don't know if that's a stroke at hand. It

  588. just might be a bad case of heart burn. I

  589. don't know what it is. But brother, just say, right

  590. now we're having church.

  591. Right now, we're in the house of God, and there's

  592. nothing in the world whatsoever to bleame God, for God

  593. has been goody And that's what Joab said. The Lord

  594. givet and the Lord taketh away. Listen be the name

  595. of the Lord. I'm here to ask you that. Now,

  596. whose attitude do you possess? Joab's wife son or chops

  597. Choam said, though he's sleeping.

  598. Yet, will I serve him?

  599. How about what a second doesn't go your way? What

  600. a thing? Don't you enough the way you thought they would? Enough?

  601. Are you gonna just curse God? And now are you

  602. gonna go sit under the one left that wady.

  603. For God and distress somebody here? I'm trying to help

  604. your head and out.

  605. Why won't you standing there beside a highway, let's go

  606. a caromory of pay said.

  607. Why would't you try to advertise Jesus I said with Nasa,

  608. have a smile now, don't come on now and a

  609. cost man that come mother does for the people.

  610. Listen, world, No, I got my solc on. I'm telling

  611. you here and not tell me. Do you sleep with

  612. the nos? No, angel I s if you aren't got

  613. loving everybody, do not come now. He's a jack daughter.

  614. He's good of coughing as you better as nothing. I

  615. feel the holy ghost sit in this place. Sweet, Why

  616. my god, Jorny are you serious right now? Johnny?

  617. Are you serious right now? You knew he's a kind god.

  618. You knew he's a gentle god. You knew he's a

  619. compassionate god. And you knew when you preaching.

  620. Okay, God, Jordy.

  621. Watterson, do right ethan he do right, says the charity,

  622. do right, brother, area that don't prove and do better.

  623. Yeah, that's right.

  624. That's why we're preaching. So people that ain't doing it

  625. right to learn to do right.

  626. So the people that haven't had good attitudes to develop

  627. good intention till you, God have been matter could become back.

  628. Oh I thought a holy girl sitting this place in

  629. a mighty way. Let your moderation be known, and all one.

  630. The Lord is and hand. The Lord is at hand.

  631. Come on her, mother, Jesse, The Lord is at hand.

  632. Say I'm gonna stare. Look at that picture on photocircle.

  633. That your dad or mama took.

  634. That is an indictment to you as an individual, as

  635. a preacher. One of the most sorrowful looks I've ever

  636. seen on a person's face is on your face.

  637. Look at the picture above it, sister, Stare. It's just

  638. a smiling and she's a beaman. That's the same thing

  639. I see on other people's faces.

  640. Hitting this building tonight.

  641. There's some smiling, there's some beaming for the most part.

  642. About seventy of your arm. Then there's fiber six of you.

  643. If that fats humility, that's fibers.

  644. Six of you trying to act like you're so definded.

  645. That's fiber six of you out of the time of

  646. sing every day of the week or whatever.

  647. It is, reviewing it condives you.

  648. It's a you need to come to the hazard God

  649. and let that testimony be entertained. Because the laird is

  650. a hat apostle. Pause of the lid is a here

  651. the parment of Philippians.

  652. The madre is a here if I'm in a Roman

  653. prison X. The lad is a care if every dods

  654. has got sick and the man's going to be delivered later.

  655. The lad is a gods in the word, he is

  656. a lad if the goods they meant well. He brought

  657. that care package to the apostle park Lydya of the

  658. Saillar of Purple. This is just jeremy house imagination.

  659. She probably had a nice little handkerchief in there, some

  660. personal effect, since Elizabeth, you made that for your husband,

  661. Philip Howell. Nice handkerchief. The Lord is at hand. Silar

  662. Purple might have sent him a little purple cough or

  663. something to remember her by, because she don't know what

  664. the outcome is gonna be.

  665. And Uh Paul gave him this wonderful epistol that we're

  666. preaching out of here tonight. Rejoice. Let that break your heart,

  667. lets you lets you a soulcle man and soaking it. Hey,

  668. he's in a prison house.

  669. Oh my god, oh brother Jesse, I want to preach

  670. right here in this corner because it feels pretty good

  671. right over here. But right now, oh thank God for

  672. the healing virtue of you. Know, helping us care who

  673. right here?

  674. The Lord is at hand, The Lord is a hard The.

  675. Lord is nearby.

  676. This canouflags captain was nearby. Oh, Lord son supposing to

  677. be a rock. Moses said that was cost Son supposed

  678. to have been a rock.

  679. And David said that was Christ will come on.

  680. I'm telling you, if you're standing on the street side,

  681. you have a smile over your face, and you will cross.

  682. Has anybody ever seen anybody and you tell us without

  683. a smile? And I call that queer? Look you, I

  684. call that strange.

  685. I call that weird.

  686. I call that a no.

  687. Somebody told me recently that a celebrity chef got old

  688. of somebody for sit through his entire broadcast with a

  689. frown on her face.

  690. I need to look it up.

  691. They said he got on with somebody pro sent through

  692. his entire broadcast with a sour expression on their face.

  693. I thought, my god, what if I started calling him out.

  694. Because he knew he wasn't good for listening. He knew

  695. it wasn't good for the kindness. The Lord is at hand.

  696. If your daddy's dying with a heart attack after preaching,

  697. the Lord's at hand, if that would love and have

  698. me get better.

  699. I'd asked him to let me buy a law I'm preaching,

  700. Oh y'all, not my bother.

  701. Holding out of my sort.

  702. Time I sacked my sort.

  703. Time I'd asked him not to let me die skin

  704. of bones in a cancer ward.

  705. Sister, whom you told me you've asked him nothing, lets

  706. you die out of your my hand. Oh y'all, ain't fell.

  707. I went on my family, because what's.

  708. It going in this place as a lesson that you

  709. don't got the holy ghost? You ain't got the holy ghost?

  710. You can get it in the service tonight. Rejoice in

  711. the Lord all the way. And again I say that.

  712. Choice he raped.

  713. And what happened was when Aphroditis got there, he got

  714. sick with the battle said he got sick. Brother Nathaniel

  715. Aphraditas was excited about taking good news back to Philippi

  716. and jaygra taking good news back to Lydia from Paul,

  717. and it gets dog sick whatever that means, dog sick,

  718. And finally he gets.

  719. Better and they get the letter. Hey, come on now, I'm.

  720. Sure apostle Paul snapped his fingers and don't I can't

  721. believe this.

  722. I'm in prison and my buddy Effie is dog sick.

  723. Then we're trying to get some good news to Idio.

  724. Then we say I finally get sent. Oh, Aphrodita says

  725. here it is Mama, here, it is mother?

  726. Here is wrong?

  727. I got what we all want him? And what did

  728. he say? I can do all things through Christ?

  729. What sweetes bath?

  730. I can't into so yes, cite, who is this streaking

  731. the usual?

  732. I can't be.

  733. Gentil Oh yes, cita, I can't be forgiven.

  734. Oh yes, sit here, I can't be capacity. Don't not

  735. sit here, hol y'all'll be more tied to yourself. I

  736. said that to be more kind. Don't forgive it to yourself.

  737. Sweet now on God, I'll feel the love this house.

  738. Are you saying you're going I'm preaching?

  739. I don't know, but I may So what.

  740. So what.

  741. If Samuel was crying because I heard him borning my death?

  742. So what God's goods? Didn't it cross my mind.

  743. That he was moorning my death? That God let me

  744. hear him mourning? Yeah, because I won't hear anybody moren

  745. my death. And I wondered had to because of the

  746. severity of his mourning? Was he mourning my death, that

  747. God let me look into the future. I feel the

  748. Holy Good sent this pot.

  749. He God.

  750. I don't sit there and panic and pound about pray

  751. about it. This ain't no time to panic, This ain't

  752. no time to pout. It said, no time for penny,

  753. It's time to dray. I thought, as Christians, we believed

  754. a prayer changes things. I thought, Christians we believe prayer

  755. prolongs life. I thought, as Christians, we believe prayer raises

  756. it is. I thought, as Christians, we believe prayer cures

  757. cantion or cause or Paul.

  758. Believed in what he was preaching about, and that's what

  759. these people knew. He's been drugged in to.

  760. Prison, he's been black and blue. He practices what he preaches.

  761. I'm telling some of you here and now it's about

  762. time you start practicing what you're preaching.

  763. What a penniful case it is for Joan to say,

  764. you're gracious, you're kind, you're forgiving, you're loving.

  765. Sweet, I'm a still feeling.

  766. It's just a strong.

  767. What you gonna do when there is nobody to preach

  768. you like you're feeling right now, Paul handle things well

  769. when circumstances change, When things took a turn for the

  770. worse in his ministry.

  771. Sister weep.

  772. You go ahead, and you don't want to hold back

  773. for me. It's decent in order to worship and praise God.

  774. It'll be fine with me for the hole he gets

  775. to take over this message. I'm gonna say it again.

  776. Would you have been gentle with the jailer who would

  777. imprison you? Would you be joyful that you witnessed that conversion?

  778. Or would you be quit to say?

  779. Man, you gave me a story. Right there?

  780. Oo, Jesus Christ is standing right there next to your sister.

  781. Who he's standing right there next to you?

  782. Brother?

  783. Justin the Lord isn't him?

  784. But you know what stood out to me this evening

  785. while praying in my office, God said, it's true.

  786. I'm nearby.

  787. He said.

  788. Also, their family's nearby, He said, their spouses nearby, and

  789. their children nearby.

  790. I don't want to be one.

  791. Of them people that people have to walk on eggshells

  792. when they're around me. Jesus was gentle. Jesus had the

  793. fruit of the spirit is gentleness.

  794. Sake it to the last. I believe Jesus was gentle.

  795. When you overturned the tables of the money changers, and

  796. to seek to them that sold to us.

  797. He was gentle, He went as a lamb to the slaughter.

  798. He had a gentle spirit.

  799. One of the things that is required for a pastor

  800. of bishop of deacon is to have that kind of spirit.

  801. Compassionate forgiveness, gentle, not a brawler, not soone that be

  802. about to walk on eggshells when they're around, not worried

  803. that daddy's reaching a holler, not worried to bonuswitching and

  804. provoked the.

  805. Children under breath.

  806. Don't with.

  807. What I'm saying is and we haven't done this.

  808. If we are careful, will crucify Geordy and will stone Ethis.

  809. I told brother Ethan yesterday before he left work, I said,

  810. moa yard tomorrow morning.

  811. First thing. He's a young man.

  812. What has he got to do?

  813. How could he be busy?

  814. Fifteen sixteen years old? Three thirty today? With everything I

  815. got going on, God brought it to my attention. I

  816. was driving sister. How witness it happened? God spoke to

  817. him and said, Becky's yard didn't get done today. I'll

  818. mess his brother Ethan, And I knew I had saw

  819. the pictures I had sought confirmation that was completed asist

  820. the wood.

  821. And I said, Ethan, you get the yard done with nothing.

  822. Hardly going on in his life, with hooleness and grass,

  823. no wife to take care of, no children are raised,

  824. no bills to pay, hardly to speak of, compared to

  825. what you are going through, basically with nothing on his mind.

  826. Really he failed me.

  827. Now, a lot of people that weren't gentle in spirit,

  828. they'd have looked for a reason to firing, terminating.

  829. Their real color.

  830. Would have come out right then when a preacher preaches

  831. holiness and he deals with hypocrites and spirits that nobody

  832. knows is under the surface, and he's bold as a lie,

  833. and Jesus comes in, or Paul comes in, where John

  834. comes in.

  835. When they act.

  836. According to the Holy Ghost, with holy boldness and reprimand

  837. the hyphracrit and the hypocrite that is not indicative of

  838. them lacking a a gentle spirit. A gentle spirit reveals

  839. itself in times like this afternoon. I message him and

  840. I quote, I said, it's okay, buddy, sometimes we forget things.

  841. Get it first thing in the morning. And then he

  842. come back, said, Pastor, I'll go do it right now,

  843. a non gentle spirit would have said, no, you forgot,

  844. You ain't got a job. Just how do you have

  845. a bottle of lotion in your person? Does anybody got

  846. a bottle of lotion?

  847. And feel the way?

  848. Go speaking to me here and walking up down? I

  849. see this right here, Jurgen's lotion.

  850. What you really are is known by what comes out

  851. of your bottle when it squeezed.

  852. Brother Jesse, I'm sorry, I hold your hand down. Let's

  853. see what's in here. Looks like Jergon's Lotionen to me,

  854. let me smell it. Yep, that smells like your mama's hands.

  855. If God squeezes you tomorrow, what comes out?

  856. Right?

  857. I said, If God squeezes your bottle tomorrow, what comes out?

  858. I won't say it once morning?

  859. If God squeezes your bottle tomorrow, what will come out?

  860. Sister who when God squeeze join us bottle? Bitterness?

  861. He said, it's very angry. It came out.

  862. When the Lord squeeze Job's bottle. He said, when it

  863. tries me, I shall come forth as gold. Sister woot

  864. and I watched it that morning your husband died. She

  865. didn't curse God or charge God foolishly.

  866. She kissed him.

  867. And sent him away, Sister Heaven, I watched him. My
