-
Turned with me to the Book of Jeremiah.
-
May direct your attention to the thirty sixth chapter we
-
will be reading, verses number twenty two through twenty four.
-
I would like to say that Brother Thomas.
-
Jarrett and his son, Brother Samuel Starrett were all over
-
my message tonight. They will understand this later on as
-
I'm preaching, I don't intend to preach very long tonight.
-
May God help us in a special way. Brother Nathaniel Esther,
-
chapter number four, verse number six, Brother Jesse Daniel, Chapter
-
number three, Verses number sixteen through nineteen.
-
You all witnessed this.
-
Past Sunday afternoon, how the Holy Ghost whispers titles into
-
my heart. In fact, I was in the middle of
-
speaking to someone to ask them to dismiss us in
-
prayer from that morning's service when the Holy Ghost spoke
-
the title, and I literally stopped in my verbal tracts
-
and tried to make sure that I heard exactly what
-
the Holy Ghost has said and retained it came in
-
here that night, reached along those lines, and I will
-
say that without a doubt the Lord has done it
-
once again. If you'll pray, God will answer. And to
-
the preachers, if you'll pray about those titles. God will
-
give those titles to you. I was down early this
-
morning praying, from between about four am to about five
-
twenty am. Lord spoke this title into my heart. Courageously contempt.
-
Courageously contempt, and it will make sense to you here momentarily.
-
Brother Nathaniel Esther chapter number four and verse number six
-
Sue Hawcak went forth to mordic I unto the street
-
of the city which was before the king's gate. Amen,
-
Brother jesse Daniel chapter number three, verses number sixteen through nineteen.
-
Shadrack Me shag Can of Bendigo answered and said to
-
the King, Oh Navcate Nazar, we are not careful to.
-
Answer thee in this matter. If it be so our.
-
God, whom we serve, as able to deliver us from
-
the burning fiery.
-
Furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand,
-
o King. But if not, Vietnam, unto the old king, that.
-
We will not serve by God's nor to worship the
-
golden image which thou has set up.
-
Then was Negukut and Azure full of fury, and.
-
The form of his visage was changed against shadrat Me
-
Shakna Bendigo. Therefore he spake and commanded that they should
-
heat the furnace seven times.
-
More than it was wont to be heated. Oh, all
-
of the emotion that his own display in those.
-
Few scripture verses praise of our list stand for the
-
reading of our golden text. Jeremiah thirty six, twenty two
-
through twenty four Bible says. Now the king sat in
-
the winter house of the ninth month, and there was
-
a fire on the hearth burning before him. And it
-
came to pass that when Jehodaih had read three or
-
four leaves, he cut.
-
It with a pen knife and cast.
-
It into the fire that was on the hearth, until
-
all the role was consumed in.
-
The fire that was on the hearth.
-
Yet they were not afraid nor rent their garments, neither
-
the king nor any of his servants that heard all
-
these words in those scripture verses that brother Jesse read,
-
I mentioned that there was a lot of emotion on display.
-
And here in this twenty third verse, as jeho and
-
I was reading, you will see that the king was
-
very angry. He became very angry and took a pen knife.
-
After slicing that document, he cast it into the fire
-
courageously contempt. It seemed to many that that was a
-
courageous act for the king to cut up the rights
-
of the prophet. Let's pray, Heavenly Father, we love and
-
we praise you. We thank you for the opportunity to
-
be in your house tonight. I thank you for this,
-
thy people. I pray God that you would set a
-
guard at my mouth and help me to say the
-
things that you would have you to say, nothing more
-
or less, and nought the years of this thy people,
-
that they might hear what it is the spirit of
-
God says of the church tonight, Lord a lad he says,
-
to go below the shoulders.
-
I pray, God, Lord stir us in our heart.
-
Help people to understand exactly what it is you have
-
put on my heart this night. For this, people will
-
be careful to give you the praise and the honor
-
and the glory in Jesus' name. And the church says, hey, man,
-
as you're being seated, look at your neighbor and say, hey, neighbor,
-
are you courageous? I hope so there are times for
-
us to be courageous, and then there are other times
-
for us not to be so.
-
Courageous. Our text is found in an Old.
-
Testament book of the Holy Bible, the Book of Jeremiah.
-
Most of the people inside of this church building right
-
now recognize the name of this mighty man of God,
-
and most present tonight are very familiar with the content
-
of his sacred writing and the context of our golden text.
-
This man of God stood for the Lord at a
-
time when most of his peers, contemporaries, and people were
-
not willing to stand for anything. Does that sound familiar?
-
That sounds like where you're at today. There's a lot
-
of people unwilling to stand for anything. It has been
-
said that if you will not stand for something, then
-
you will fall for everything. This prophet of Jeremiah was
-
not one to fall for any and everything.
-
This man, like many in these pews.
-
Tonight, had dedicated his life to.
-
Worshiping only the Lord.
-
He believed in the Law of Moses.
-
He protected it, and he promoted it, and he was
-
not ashamed to keep those teachings.
-
He believed in it.
-
And if you believe in something, you will practice it,
-
and you will be faithful.
-
To it even when it is tried and tested.
-
Think of the strength and the courage this weeping prophet
-
had in order to withstand daily threats, including death threats,
-
false accusations, persecutions, and more.
-
People in this building tonight.
-
Will remember a time that Jeremiah was cast into a
-
pit for simply preaching what thus saith God.
-
There are people in this building today that have been
-
verbally persecuted, and some have even been smitten by the
-
hand of their neighbor for proclaiming the truth to them.
-
This prophet, Jeremiah had courage. Certainly, he was create courageous.
-
His courage was a second to that of the three
-
Hebrew Children. Those were men who stood up to the King,
-
the Emperor, Nevicandessar. They had been threatened, Their lives were
-
in jeopardy, They were in a peril because they refused
-
a bow down in worship and admiration to Him, his Idol,
-
and his gods. These men were courageous. They were not
-
afraid to buck the system. They wanted to please God
-
rather than pleasing men.
-
You will remember that the Apostolic brethren, the Disciples of Jesus,
-
they were more interested in pleasing the.
-
Lord than they were to pacifying or pleasing the authorities
-
of their day. One of them said, should we not
-
obey the Lord and forget about what these dignitaries and
-
authorities and officials are saying. You'll find in this Word
-
of God that men like Jeremiah.
-
The three hebrew.
-
Young men, and also those that are found in the
-
Faith catalog, specifically the eleventh chapter of the Book of Hebrews,
-
they were courageous. You know, the Bible said that the
-
righteous are as bold as a lion, and there is
-
no doubt that the righteous person that has been possessed
-
by the Holy Ghost will become even more bolder in
-
supporting their doctrine and holding firmly the teachings of Jehovah God.
-
In the faith of adversity, the children of God are
-
not afraid to stand strong. The ten Boon sisters during
-
the Holocaust of the Jews, they were not hesitant at
-
all to make clear to all those that were around
-
him that they were against what ad Al Hitler and
-
his cronies were doing to the Jewish people. And these
-
were females, not altogether males that stood against the Nazis.
-
There were females that stood against him as well.
-
Brother Aaron Wood. It wasn't only.
-
Men who took courage in times of adversity.
-
We find a biblical example of this. And clean Esther
-
she stood.
-
When the time came for her to stand. It was
-
this past Saturday morning. I woke up with those words
-
on my heart.
-
Esther said, Empire.
-
Die, then I die. If I perish, then I perish.
-
I must do what God told me to do.
-
Come on, now, I know, old and Esther was one
-
to obey morn to Chai as well as her heavenly father.
-
The Bible said.
-
That clean Esther stood when the time came for her
-
at a stand. After I heard those other words Saturday morning,
-
I heard this phrase or expression. It is a biblical expression,
-
having done all the stand stand. It wasn't long after
-
God spoke those words to my heart that a young
-
pastor from a certain state reached out to me about
-
a certain issue.
-
And he was being challenged for he is stand something.
-
As simple as a platform stand the devil, said a challenger.
-
We may feel like the devil was not involved, But
-
any time a man of.
-
God, a woman of God, or a person of God
-
takes a stand for truth and righteousness, when a challenger
-
of surfaces, it is certainly not a.
-
God and not always of their own choosing.
-
I believe there is satanic activity involved.
-
We believe the saint could be said with an emperor.
-
Neficantnessiph demanded in the street Hebrew children bow before his
-
golden image, and they were not afraid to stand talk
-
in the face of adversity. Concerning Esther, in Esther chapter
-
number four and verse number six, I believe it is
-
the Bible said, gogether together all the Jews that are
-
present in shoeshin and fast ye for me, and neither
-
eat nor.
-
Drink three days, neither day or night.
-
Also, and my maidens will fast likewise.
-
And so will I go into the king, which is
-
not according to the law.
-
And if I perish, I perish.
-
Escar went through with her plan of approaching a Hasrous
-
on behalf of her people and her constant moor the Chao.
-
When she had not been called for by a Hassros.
-
This woman went in and.
-
Done the unthinkable and the unimaginable.
-
She walked into the presence of the king, knowing very well.
-
That the deafinity was the punishment for an action such
-
as this.
-
No one dared do such a thing.
-
But on the.
-
Flip side, that queen before her investing. The Bible said
-
that on a Sunday, a hashless requested that the queen.
-
Come to a party, and that she accompanied him, and
-
she declined.
-
To do what the king had asked her to do.
-
Can I tell you.
-
She was courageously to gift on that day? You're getting
-
him now, aren't you. You see, on one side, Esther
-
is standing strong for her people, and she's standing tall
-
in the face of adversity to accomplish the.
-
Will of the Lord.
-
Can I tell you that sometimes people stand for something
-
and they feel like they're standing for some good reason,
-
but now they're standing.
-
For all of the wrong reasons.
-
You see, Master was standing for herself, and Esther was
-
standing for her God, her cousin.
-
More to chaos, and for her people. I want to
-
tell some.
-
Young men and young women in this place up here
-
tonight that it's okay for you to get emotional, or
-
it's okay for you to get angry sometimes, but you
-
better make sure that you are in enough the right
-
frame and state of mind with your courageous for you're giving.
-
It right now. Sister, how will lasts me? The other day?
-
She said, how do you come up with this stuff?
-
I said, honey, I do not come up with it.
-
The Holy Ghost comes up with this.
-
And God's been dealing with me for several day about
-
the difference in Basty and Esther. Both of them seemingly
-
are being rebellious to the law. One though, is in
-
obedience to God and God's will and God's plan, while
-
another she is just totally, entirely, altogether disobeying the commandment
-
of the king who was her ruler. You see, God
-
had no business whatsoever in the affairs of a haserous
-
and vasity.
-
They were not God fearing people for the most part.
-
Come on, now, you see the Bible, students and the
-
reader's present tonight will remember that Vasti, the first queen,
-
was replaced with Esther for her refusal to come into
-
his presence. I wonder how many people are absent tonight
-
in our church's worldwide cyclopic calls. They got upset about
-
something the preacher said, and seemingly with great courage on display,
-
perhaps even through a written letter or a nasty email
-
or a nasty text, they challenged the Sunday school teacher
-
that told them.
-
The truth, or they challenge an error in the.
-
Church that spoke the truth with love of them. Or
-
perhaps they got on social media and got in some
-
messaging check group and they shredded the pastor and the
-
personal lady so courageously.
-
Was it a good display of emotion?
-
That?
-
Was it really the kind of courage that a Christian
-
is supposed to have.
-
Now, I want to.
-
Tell you they were courageously contempt. The Bible sat in
-
Proverbs chapter number thirteen, and most of a thirteen who
-
so despised that the world shall be destroyed, but he
-
appeared the.
-
Commandment shall be rewarded.
-
Oh, come on, whenever this man in our texture and
-
whenever vast he did as well when they went against
-
the ornaces and the commandments.
-
Of the authority. When Jehovah come.
-
Roum, he chose to destroy and dismiss and ditcher God's word.
-
He chose to side of his own death wording. That's
-
what I want you to hold on here tonight. It's
-
called contempt. There's a lot of them out there than
-
a critical and the holiness Word of God, the Holy
-
impallable in every where, the God and the Holy message,
-
or the holiness preacher like but the Thomas character, and
-
they seem so courageous when they hit and they speak
-
out against the church, they seem so courageous as they
-
do things in their own way while abusing the scriptures
-
and saying I'm searching out my own salvation.
-
With fear and trembling.
-
But can I tell.
-
Every one of them tone.
-
When these people dismissed and ditch God's.
-
Word, they signed up their own death lorry.
-
And I want to tell some people and listen to
-
this message now and some that were listening to it later.
-
When you decide you're gonna go on, it gets the brain.
-
I don't learn to talk.
-
You're gonna do it your away, no matter what the
-
model says.
-
That has called contempt. You know what contempt is is.
-
The feeling that a person or the thing is beneath
-
the consideration. Again, it is the feeling that a person
-
and every thing is the need to consideration.
-
It's worthless. That's what the whole come in.
-
Whenever that man brow.
-
That's crawled in there hint of the King's chamber.
-
And he read it upon the king to.
-
Whol come did not lie what it said to Halkem.
-
Did not lie what de scribe was reading?
-
What is cantling?
-
Who recited to what may can ascribe.
-
It, said he.
-
And I'm telling you it doesn't.
-
Matter whether you like.
-
It can not.
-
It's God's word, and you can tow it in a
-
fire a.
-
Steal person, and you can toe to read in a
-
transcand at your disposal.
-
But in God's word, in a long way, in God's murdered,
-
he can a settle the shore. I feel that of
-
the Lord to say this again, wasn't that king who
-
was in Israelite king dismissed and ditched God's word?
-
He chose to sign his own death warrant.
-
And that's what they're doing, Sister Howell.
-
They're willingly ignorant of the things that.
-
Are in that book. When they turned through.
-
The leaflets of those pages that are behind them leather binders.
-
And they speed up their reading.
-
They begin to speed read through things that are plainly written,
-
and they are so plain that a fifth grader could
-
understand what the Spirit of God was saying through these
-
highly intelligent men of God, like the prophets Jeremiah, I want.
-
You to know, brother road Camp.
-
Going back to Mashta, the Bible said she refused to
-
come after receiving a request and esther she successfully was blessed,
-
but she came without receiving a request.
-
One received a request and was cursed.
-
Another did not receive a request and it was blessed.
-
How many feel that it took a lot of courage
-
for Basti to tell a hazrous no. I'm sure there
-
was some of those emotional beings that lived in the
-
concabout house with masted that would have said, you go, girl,
-
that was a bond move.
-
You showed him, didn't you? Are y'all with me now,
-
I know?
-
Preaching it here tonight here, I'm sure there were tomb's
-
going up as somebody did their eyelashes.
-
As somebody curled their hair, as somebody painted their toniils.
-
So he told him, didn't you? That was very courageous
-
for you to.
-
Tell a pass for us okay, or to to give
-
him a piece of your mind. I could see them
-
girls in the girl club saying, we told that man
-
exactly what he needed to hear.
-
Oh, come on in.
-
That's what they do. They've been in a holiness church
-
and they've heard the holiness preaching. They know they've heard
-
the preaching of a man I'm a sent from God,
-
and they walk right out of the House of God
-
and they meet behind closed doors and they say, you
-
send the text, and you.
-
Let him know we're not coming back. You tire off.
-
Let me response for her. And now I ain't coming
-
back to church. No, I know how cold they leave
-
holding us.
-
It's necessary.
-
Go ahead, they me courageously content if you want to
-
go ahead in this God man, go ahead and miss
-
miss up God's gird. Go ahead and bitch, God's murdered.
-
That's the holy hurt.
-
What I want you to know.
-
It will come back up to haunt you.
-
I said that he will without it out that come
-
back to haunt you.
-
Go ahead and put on that narrow knee links kirt.
-
Go ahead and step clip, trim that hair.
-
Go ahead and be courageous and do it the way
-
you want to in.
-
The spirit of mesty.
-
Go ahead and tell God, no, that's not what your
-
word says. Go ahead and be rebellious and raising and stubborn.
-
Go ahead, preacher and book that elder preacher.
-
Go ahead and right, Preacher and the pastor I hedn't
-
get mad.
-
And was spared with a word of emotion.
-
Go ahead and get mad and desplay a crazing courage.
-
It is still courage at all.
-
I'm here to tell you God with me for Shaturday morning,
-
to tell who he ain't courage.
-
It's contempt.
-
I want to tell Dusty, she's in hell right now.
-
It was a courage. Gods, it was contempt. And I
-
won't have the backslider how the home in his tail
-
and it's.
-
Far the Lord like God. It was not courage when
-
you lip coming to the mail car.
-
It was not courage.
-
When you study that.
-
Still in put of all the smooth mooky, there is contempt,
-
the rageous me contempt.
-
I'll do a holy good smation gat.
-
There right down, all the sweet Jesus that us right
-
here in this building right now.
-
I play that the seventy five people him in this
-
building right now will see it from what it is
-
when they come in with a fresh manicure and a
-
pedicutre and they walk into that hole in this church where.
-
Daddy's the pastor or re apostle pastor, and it's still
-
the whole saw.
-
Them years when they come in, had a highway in
-
that skirt, and it's not the right let.
-
They can act courageous, they can act bold, They can
-
act like they found their own salvation.
-
Get out here and trembling. They can act like they
-
got the tiger by the tail.
-
They can be courageous. They can demand if they sing
-
on the fire parla. They can act like they're talking
-
him tongs that I want you.
-
To know that is not the codic.
-
Go read something God.
-
This looks the part that is contail talking. I said
-
that that is contailed talking.
-
You remember that nobody said nothing. You have a feeling
-
that that there word of God that they're holding us.
-
People were no longer war talking considerace.
-
And I'll tell you there.
-
I said, you just stand there, mother.
-
They're the world, oh no, lifeless.
-
And when they choose to come in, they signed their
-
own as what.
-
I need somebody to bringing a piece of paper as
-
quickly as you can to Hey, man, I feel like
-
God is about finishing.
-
With me right here.
-
Brother.
-
It meant something.
-
Whatever Eric wrote this writing that you who will come
-
ended up with sister, how it meant something to God
-
And it means something to God's man, the good prophets Jeremiah,
-
the one whose.
-
Notes were staying with tears.
-
You could say, oh you want to that, I don't
-
know that Jeremy Howell or Jeremiah the prophet in the
-
Bible have weeped over their notes.
-
You wouldn't know how much we have wept over the backslider.
-
You wouldn't know how much we have wept over those
-
that have been courageously contempt and decided to go another way.
-
But one thing we cannot do is show or demonstrate
-
weakness that the princeps are those that are courageously contempt
-
Because I'll tell you this, the three Hebrew young men,
-
we're not weeping on that day that they stood in
-
front of Delapomnurser and all the governors and the captains
-
of the lamb, when.
-
All the entertainers and all all of the musicians and
-
all of the magicians.
-
We're doing their thing, Hebrew bods in a sea of
-
other people. They were courageous, and they were as bold
-
as a lion.
-
But they were not contempted because they were not doing
-
what I never can answer told him to do. They
-
knew it's been an old by God in the obey man.
-
And I'm telling you it's the spirit of asting and
-
not the spirit of est on charity.
-
How is the spirit of Esther.
-
And Sister Iris, it's.
-
The spirit of est On Sister Terry, it's the spirit
-
of est.
-
On, Sister Practiss Hammond, it's the spirit of uest They
-
would rather do what God said, and do you for
-
a man's saying, it doesn't matter your preacher compromises.
-
It and Basili that come on the spirit of besting.
-
You allow you to compromise with it, allow you to not.
-
Do anything about him. But the spirit of esther, it
-
will challenge it.
-
I said, it will.
-
Challenge her it you know, it will challenge her all.
-
And his knocking kits an asway.
-
O God, how many felt that there was a lot
-
of partying going on in Master's camp. Somebody served the bubbly,
-
somebody served the Champagne.
-
I finally got old enough to tell Hassis my mind.
-
But I can tell you when the knock came on
-
the door, and it wasn't a pennyback, oh God in Heaven,
-
but it was a forceful knock.
-
Hey, I'm telling you.
-
If I still right, then dropped her makeup, cause, in
-
other words, she dropped her crayon.
-
And kipp because she was worried about the curl of
-
her eye.
-
Lassis or all ours extensions and pour In.
-
Time, the guard came here and said, do you not
-
know who requested of you that you be in his princess?
-
And I'm telling you, we know who's worned this.
-
He is and we know the law that he's the creed,
-
and we know what he said.
-
And could choose to not do enough this, could choose
-
to sin.
-
Now, for he that knows ates to do, tell and
-
do it and not to him in a sin, in
-
a stealing about.
-
The nation, for a moming aware of that and pre
-
clean to tell men, that's all waste in that way.
-
And it's the same as today.
-
It is the decree of the canny.
-
And I want to tell some sad Decisius, and I
-
want to tell some party, and Pat sees.
-
The party's about over. It's a fearful thing to fall
-
into the hands oh the living God.
-
That was the wrong moment, sister, He'll prove asked you
-
to play hero for heroin.
-
That was the wrong moment to be a hero and
-
display courage.
-
Jehoa, that was the wrong moment.
-
God moved on the week of Prophet Jeremiah.
-
He told ark you write them words, and they went
-
down there to the city square, and they preach what
-
Jeremiah heard from God.
-
And Barrick is just a reading, and.
-
The city councilmen and the county commissioners, they listen to
-
what's being preached, and they take the book and says,
-
you know what, we probably got to take this.
-
One into the court of the king and let him
-
hear it.
-
And while Jehoak comes listening to what Jeremiah though prophet
-
said he'd had a pity party, he pitched the little
-
fit right there in that room, and he started destroying
-
what does say it to the word of God?
-
And I wonder how many of these little.
-
Boys and girls, you're adults and older people have to
-
shigne the picture their.
-
Little fitting to be emotional. I said, it's been charged
-
with emotion.
-
Every example that I've given here ton that they become
-
courage courageous.
-
In the wrong way, in the wrong time.
-
To every woman who saved a Walter out of the.
-
Holiness Church to live a different way, it must you
-
be a courageously click tempt And I want you to
-
know when you dissed and dismissed it and.
-
Did the word of Toadter, he shigned you all that what.
-
I want to display a courage we showed by the
-
howel we showed by the rich, we showed by the garbage.
-
We showed Brother.
-
Nathaniel, we showed Brother Philip, it's okay for a woman
-
to have short hair.
-
You did it through being.
-
Courageously contempt I cant what God said to his man
-
was worthless, not even.
-
Worth careful consideration. Don't you think every word of God?
-
The Bible said, every word of God is profitable for doctrine.
-
Don't you believe every word of God? It's like apples
-
of gold and pictures of silver. Y'all have heard what
-
has been said about this man and died up the
-
road here. They said he was off duty for the
-
most part. He decided to be a hero at night
-
after him and some others had partied him. And it
-
has been said that the Hispanic man did not know
-
that he was an off duty officer, and he felt
-
like he was being attacked. I don't know who's right
-
and who's wrong, but you know, nevertheless, that man chose
-
to be a hero out of uniform. He chose to
-
be a hero hero offered duty. And I'm trying to
-
keep you too long here he changes to be a hero.
-
And I want to tell Vastie and I want to
-
tell jehoa, come right here, you're in hell right now?
-
Did it pay to be a hero for an hour?
-
Did it pay to be a hero for a day?
-
Did it pay to get.
-
Mad and the book the preacher and to go in
-
the bathroom, to go out the church, start to get
-
in the rest of you? Did it pay to turn
-
your boy the.
-
Dad's house up atmosphere into a horrible pain?
-
Did it pay to keep the water?
-
Did it pay to throw the chair?
-
Did it pay to get mad?
-
For my God in heaven. I don't care how old
-
you are. If you live in your pair of house,
-
you bide by their rusa. Are you ready?
-
Hey?
-
This up before sunrise? Then I will save up pay man,
-
I will.
-
Sing up what deceit her?
-
You may color you that I I told brother Jeremiah.
-
I said, as long as you live in my house,
-
you go by my rules.
-
And as long as you profess to be a Christian
-
that lives in this kingdom and that after kingdom New Jerusalem,
-
you will go by his rules.
-
This prince and princess at so courageous.
-
There's me can mild mannered sister Walker, and I'll go
-
Prince and.
-
By like they got a license to sin, like God's
-
holding us to.
-
Pentecostal churches are giving out indulgences for free, and you
-
know what, I'm starting to believe that they are.
-
In the messages and the way they're preaching, and in
-
the way they're saying things.
-
They're basically they're saying everybody wakes up every morning going
-
to sin. I know that God is a merciful god.
-
I know God loved us at our worst. I know
-
God loves the entire lost world. But you're supposed to
-
walk away from that experience, say I was lost, but
-
now on power.
-
And everybody that has been paled, they're like the particle.
-
So that tell her they're now living in the Father's
-
house and they're living by the Father's rooms Baltimore.
-
Now.
-
They want must have believed that they can come home
-
up and keeping the way with something metality.
-
It will never happen.
-
The Father may it clear.
-
We're gonna change some things. We're gonna change some things.
-
You wanna live here.
-
It was a courage by definition, Sister Howell, When Jehoak
-
have done that, When mast have done that, Brother's there.
-
They was stupidity at best and rebellion at worst. It
-
was totally off the mark, young preacher, when you get mad,
-
you lose your cool. You construct all you want to
-
and say, I'm just as courageous as Pastor is. Hey,
-
I tell them I'm a fifty year old man and
-
I'll live however, and I want to live. I'll tell
-
them how things are gonna be. Hey, little girl, you
-
tell mama, I live in your.
-
House, but what I do with my hair is my business. Listen,
-
if you're.
-
Ten years old, what you do with your hair is
-
your mama's business. And whether you're able to provide for yourself,
-
then you can do whatever you want to with your hair.
-
But I want to tell mastere there comes a consequence
-
for every act of disobedience. Oh, come on now, Just
-
as people today have a pastor or a spiritual leader
-
who gives them insights and instructions to all of them
-
at the same in Jeremiah, it's not that they don't know,
-
they don't want to hear. It's the crowd throughout the
-
Book of Revelation the half years to hear him.
-
Here jehollanicamb just simplate did.
-
Not let to hear.
-
You know what, We can't do anything with that.
-
We can't do anything that with somebody here who is
-
courageously contempt.
-
Jehoakam had so much in the preacher and the prophet Jeremiah.
-
Some of you said tonight, We've got so much here,
-
and I'm thankful for it.
-
God told Jeremiah the prophet to let Jehoaicm know that
-
he wasn't happy about the idolatious practices taking place throughout
-
the land. And brother, just of course Jehovah, God that
-
had told him to have no other gods before him,
-
was upset about it. But to make matters worse, Jeholica's
-
father had done a.
-
Little bit and as much as he could to remove
-
idolatry from those people.
-
So Jehoricam's father was doing his to clean up the
-
house of God, if you would, and Jehoame's coming in
-
here saying, all right, everybody, just slide to the nail parlor.
-
I remember sister Athleen Harris telling me.
-
Of a time when a preacher began to back up,
-
and she said this was years ago, and she said
-
he passed to hold in his church out in the
-
rural part of America, in the country area and the
-
country setting, and didn't have a whole lot of people.
-
But she said, this preacher had been raised right, and
-
this preacher had a good pedigree in holdliness, and people
-
that had taken prayer seriously, people that had taken Bible
-
reading and Bible studies seriously.
-
People that loved church, people that have went to church for.
-
Weeks and months on end, sometimes even up to a year.
-
I believe in times just having consecutive services and miraculous
-
things taking place, and people could saved and sanctified and
-
born again. It's just such a place that people thirty
-
to fifty years later went.
-
To just to pay homage. And I'm trying to, you know,
-
trace the roots and feel the presence of God.
-
And now Sister Ethlene Harris, she said that she said,
-
this preacher's son came to.
-
Power, if you would, he kind of like Jehoaka.
-
He came into place in the position, and she said,
-
he started saying things that were a little bit questionable.
-
It sounds kind of similar to this preacher that's told
-
people it's okay to wear plunging necklines and leading by
-
example through.
-
His wife and to weere sheer material from the wrist
-
of the shoulder.
-
You might as well be wearing a tank top right,
-
if you'd see the entire arm.
-
Oh God, God help me right here. I know I'll meddling.
-
But sister Ethlene Harris told me this is probably about
-
sixteen years ago, and she said this was her pastor,
-
and she said this to how they're in the services.
-
He just got the same simple sentences and things that
-
made you kind of doubt the stand of the former
-
generation and kind of made you doubt the necessity of
-
some of the things that had taken place as people
-
got convicted there and then.
-
Revival meetings and the camp meetings and things that people
-
were laid down.
-
Maybe it wasn't necessary for the next generation.
-
To lay them down.
-
And she said, he just got to strategically planning these
-
seeds of doubt and somewhat just slightly throwing down on
-
his heritage just enough to make people not take it seriously. Now,
-
that's what Jehoicum was doing right here in this court.
-
He was making people in his court think, I don't
-
take this seriously. When he dismissed it and ditched it.
-
He was trying to discredit the writing of Barry describe
-
and profit Jeremiah. And so that's what this preacher was
-
doing you know, And that's what a lot of them do, sister,
-
when they get a hold of some of doctrine on
-
teaching and somebody come up with and they find a
-
little hole and something, and that's all they ever harpooned
-
when they want to destroy holiness people and go and
-
talk about that one little abstract sac.
-
Of holiness of preacher gets the color red, or they
-
want to talk about that one little segment of preaching
-
his Coca cola, and they make care of everybody that's
-
part of the program.
-
Looked like a bunch of coops.
-
Writer, and that's what that's what you hulk was doing.
-
Brother Jesse, he was playing out, not taking it seriously
-
on purpose.
-
And Sister Ethlene Harris said she finally listened to him.
-
And one day he said, let's all go down to
-
the beach, sister whooting, and she said, my body had
-
never wore a bathing suit, and he had told all
-
of them, you wear a bathing suit.
-
Under that holiness attire.
-
And at a certain point, we'll just take her towels
-
and we'll.
-
Walk up to the water and we'll load our bathing suits,
-
our towel down and was slipping into the water. And
-
our bathing suits, and Granny Harris said she wasn't out
-
there about about two or three minutes, and she said
-
something spoke to her and said, you have been duped,
-
and you had been to the trap has been made.
-
And she said she looked her and she would tell
-
me a lot of things.
-
On a Sunday afternoons when we were in that car together,
-
and she said her pasture was gooden.
-
Lining her and I balling her, and she said he
-
had me. And she said, I remember thinking, I've got
-
to walk out of this water. I've got to walk
-
through the same bar. I've got to walk through the shallows,
-
trying to cover up my neckedness.
-
And she said, I got to my towel. I put
-
my towel around me.
-
After my neckedness somewhat.
-
Had been revealed to all of those I went to
-
a holiness church with her.
-
All of them years. And she said I felt like
-
a fool.
-
She said, I marched up there, got my clothes on.
-
I tried off and I said, take me to the house.
-
I'm not interested in this party. You know, the rest
-
is history. When everybody else for SIRC the out standing
-
of holiness, as far as I know she's one of.
-
The only ones that he do it.
-
They all started, weel, what's a hold income?
-
I say, and this did Chuck the God.
-
Who less this?
-
Missen that this?
-
So I want you to know who you did that right?
-
Who signed that car?
-
And the holdiness church and lill s long time they're
-
holding us chur Chuck, you're not part.
-
Oh my God, he speaking, Get Chuck all you are
-
to We'll tell the sword.
-
You want today. I'll tell you to talk.
-
Let's stay with you, h Gosh, because you want to saybody,
-
everybody that day you Jeremiah back, we're talking the words
-
of God. Everyone knew, and God was trying to speak
-
as to how everybody knows. God's trying to bring about
-
sanctified living, holy hearts, pure minds, innocence, virtue. This is
-
my burden tonight. I noticed Jehovaicame's response. He took the right,
-
he slashed it and talks to it.
-
In the earth.
-
But God knew his word would not return to him
-
want and he.
-
Would accomplished that word too. He had sent it, and
-
even though Jeremiah of offense, Sister Hannah was bound, it
-
went from the hand of the scribe Barrick to the
-
city council, the county commissioners, right into the chamber of
-
the King.
-
And I'm preaching the people tonight. You've heard it. You
-
know what hon says, and I want to say and
-
close it. If you build again those things you it's destroyed.
-
You're my friend, You're.
-
My friend, or a transgression.
-
The truth is to Holcombe and Vassie didn't want to
-
hear what spiritual leadership had to say because in Vashiti's world,
-
Pastrous was God, he was the answer, and the holocamst world,
-
Jeremiah was the of Jehovah God, and Sister, how it
-
is true the consequences would come even if he did
-
seem courageous enough to defy God. In God's man, you
-
can never expose in tonge els today like you can
-
hide that.
-
Pedicure under socks. And I'm gonna tell you, God knows
-
you can tram aside of your hair with a curling
-
urn burned flap. God knows.
-
On that mindset would lead you to stand in a
-
puppet and lead you to preach with hair, Lady, friend.
-
As short as a man's.
-
You have contempt for what does saith God don't blame
-
sister who for being a member of a cult. She's
-
a keeper of the law. And when we speak of
-
the law, we're not talking about the law of Moses.
-
We're talking about the law of Jesus. We all talk
-
about how do you get to the place you're so
-
contempt You develop a feeling, a strong emotion. The holiness
-
and righteous, sanctified living is beneath the consideration says, how
-
can they walk by you and feel your testimonies worthness God,
-
sister hell and you're part of the country and seabrand.
-
How can they walk past you and act like your
-
testimony is worthless?
-
It's contempt.
-
You told me to tid.
-
Whoso despises the word shall be destroyed, but he the
-
fearth the commandment shall be rewarded.
-
And in the spirit of Esther, Tonight, I say, if.
-
I die, let me die preaching holdings, if I die,
-
let me die a preaching the King.
-
If I die, let me die a love of my
-
Savior being.
-
The same today as the word yesterday.
-
You don't do nothing wrong.
-
Listen some young people, and then to pray tonight. There's
-
seventy five people in the building, but you need to pray.
-
Is there something working in your heart that mom and
-
dad don't go about, maybe only.
-
Two or three some that are listening, some that will listen.
-
Is this something working on the inside of you that's
-
gonna eventually take your spiritual life? That's about our heads
-
and close the eyes. Is there a young man or
-
a young woman tonight that would come and pray the
-
Devil's convince you that it's courage and doing it your
-
own way? Is there somebody was feeling tonight? How about
-
an adult you'll come tray? All these heads are about?
-
These is the two people that would raise your hand
-
and say it's me cos there's one, is there another,
-
there's the second, There's there another, there's two already. That's
-
what I felt, that there could be somebody up owing
-
them up. Two out of seventy five courageously contempt.
-
I'm just going to do it because I'm.
-
My own man.
-
I can make my own decisions.
-
And you see that speed limit side.
-
It says forty five, and you choose to drive seventy five.
-
You have a feeling at that side.
-
Little Morningside is beneath your consideration.
-
But that little mom and dad up the road, whose
-
little boys ride the stream about to cross the highway.
-
Knows that it's there for a reason. There's two in
-
the building of seven.
-
Five?
-
Is there another? Let's just find a place to three.
-
I know what pastor has been preaching. He's told me
-
what to do as a provided.
-
He's told me what to do.
-
As a husband, as a wife, as a child. Have
-
you marken an instruction? Are you trying to figure out
-
a way to do it your will?
-
Are you working up to your own will? Are you being.
-
Considered careful about God's will and God's plan?
-
Oh?
-
How she felt so good when she told King a hastis,
-
But judgment came. It's the wrong moment to be a hero.
-
No matter how much courage you displaying, ma'am, you walked
-
away courageously contempt of God's word.
-
There's a reason we live like we do.
-
There's a reason why we try to live the way
-
we do. There's a reason why we strive here in
-
the straight gift. There's a reason why we raise as
-
children the way we do. There's a reason why we
-
try to have a holdiness heritage and holdness in Holdiness
-
of the heart.
-
Holdness of the iron, holdness of the.
-
Spirit, holdness of the tie sactifies something from the world different, of.
-
A different spirit than what the world has. And I
-
feel like, somebody just listen now and that will listen later.
-
If you'll be honest and not courageously contempt, you already identified.
-
And they those celebrities, they're lifestyle choices, they're claim the
-
choices all the mind are claiming.
-
To be a keeper of Jesus' words, courageously content.
-
I wish we'd prayed for a little while, ask God
-
to search your heart and said, God, if there's any
-
wicked way yet.
-
Me, please show me and let me time.
-
There's a sweet, sweet conviction in this place. There's nothing
-
in the world like this that we're filling right down.
-
That's when you're since service started to no conviction. If
-
any man drives back, he said his soul would have
-
no pleasure and delight in that.
-
Wyn draw that back.
-
What she had, not that I had no.
-
Ches. Your change her chance.
-
Let's see, it's say they take a chance.
-
That's a HARDIHO.
-
It's a part issue. It's the very times le's time.
-
It's the only as the best. But that's the bea.
-
I not take a chance. I take any chance I'll
-
take to. It's the way that let's drive leaste all
-
all that.
-
The rule is never the word history, it relieve the
-
r to.
-
You're asking me to change to count.
-
To every way.
-
I'm not taking any chances.
-
With people.
-
Look at me, Bason, I'm just to.
-
Leave the meal fashion.
-
He can't believe we after all these years, I see
-
you and.
-
W I do.
-
He's seen the times have changed today.
-
There be awass you could still have the blessing.
-
Ivout live in that way.
-
You can think what you please, But what I found
-
on my knees be said anything for offs.
-
So I'm not taking the.
-
Oats Trim.
-
Who is there in the way.
-
Speaking asking me Jam, I'm not taking it. Checks, I'm
-
not taking it Chest.
-
I'll take it's lay because a strang it's all.
-
Ding the.
-
Way, strange day asking me sad you Rod, I'm not taking.
-
Any st people look at me very sad.
-
I'm just by old fashioned
