And they showed us how as kids, they showed us
-
how to work.
-
Three things.
-
I've never seen them argue in front of us. I've
-
never never seen hollering or screaming, you know, just role
-
models as fathers. And there's a married couple. But we
-
certainly missed our pastor and our first lady. They've been
-
a blessing to us. You can turn with me to
-
the book of Second Timothy, chapter four, verse ten. Second Timothy,
-
chapter four and verse ten. We pray for a praying church,
-
want to perform the will of God. What thus saith
-
the word or not what I want to preach, but
-
what God said to preach. There's so many people nowadays,
-
so many preachers. You know, they they preach a message
-
opposite because they don't want to step on somebody's toes.
-
I don't plan on to do any toast Stephan and
-
I plan on do some encouraging.
-
Second Timothy four and ten.
-
Fordeemons half forsaken me, having loved this present world, and
-
is departed unto thessela knocking. Turn with me over to
-
James Chapter one, verse eight. A double minded man is unstable.
-
In all his ways.
-
A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
-
Let your hand towards heil and ask God to help
-
and see us y'all I.
-
Can ask me try to know the name of Jesus.
-
Then through a law to God, I need you touch
-
holding only come from kind of mood, Lord God. I'm
-
behind Oh ye, Lord, I'm nothing deroity, Lord, hide me
-
going behind the crowd.
-
Lord God, ask me to any no probs and gone, God,
-
touch your heart.
-
Or touch your mind.
-
God, I'm saying someone in the great manner. Or change
-
me o Lord, God, deal with my heart and forep
-
me selling my heart. Lord will be sure, old people,
-
you know the word.
-
Thank you.
-
I'm going to give you the grave Jesus think amen.
-
Back going there to our golden texts there Timothy four
-
in ten it says for demon path forsaken me, having
-
loved this present world, and is departed onto Thesalonika.
-
Now Here, this uh, this group, this book of the Bible.
-
Here tewod Timothy Paul is writing to Timothy from prison.
-
And here we know we kind of go through.
-
It to kind of everybody's familiar with this story, but
-
just to kind of catch you up to our golden text.
-
Here he starts telling Timothy of things that he needs
-
to start bracing for.
-
He starts warning him of people no longer wanting to
-
hear the truth.
-
And we see this taking place and a lot of
-
the hole in his churches nowadays. Sadly, you know, they
-
no longer have a desire to preach what thus saith God.
-
They no longer have a desire to say what the
-
Lord said or to tell it like it is.
-
Now.
-
They only want to hear the things that please.
-
Them, and the things that make them feel okay in
-
their sin, and the things that make them feel like
-
they're doing.
-
All right that they don't need to improve.
-
I don't want to ever get to the place where
-
I think I've arrived. I've never arrived. I've seen Christians older.
-
They always say, God, give me more, give the more.
-
You can never have enough of Jesus. Then he tells
-
him here to endure afflictions. They're gonna be There's gonna
-
be things that try to get the best of you,
-
that try to bring you down.
-
But Timothy, do the work of.
-
An evangelist mats full proof of your ministry, regardless of
-
what people say, regardless of what they do to try.
-
To hurt you, regardless of the things that they lie
-
and say about you. Then he then he lets him
-
know that.
-
Let then he lets you know the benefits of living
-
right in obeying the Lord, no matter what said. And
-
we hear those famous words that it does we love
-
to quote, I have fought a good fight, I have
-
finished my course, and I have kept the faith. Hens
-
Forth there hiss forth, there is laid up for me
-
a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge.
-
Give me at that day, and not only unto me,
-
but unto all them that love his appearance. That's the
-
benefits of telling it like it is. That's the benefits
-
of not backing down, no matter what it is. That's
-
the benefits of preaching the truth. Timothy. That's what I
-
had to look for. For I met my maker. I'm
-
about to meet my maker.
-
But here I am right there in verse sixes that
-
for I am now ready to be offered.
-
At this time, my departure is at hand. Timothy. You've
-
watched me preach it right, You watch me tell it
-
like it is.
-
That's the benefits, Timothy. I believe this wholeheartedly. If it's
-
in the Bible, then it.
-
Is to be preached, no matter what it says, no
-
matter who in hair lips, it is to be preached.
-
Y'all bear with him.
-
We're gonna get into a text. I'm just trying to
-
catch you up to verse number ten. Now, this is
-
the part that after all the encouraging and all the
-
the good news that Timothy hears, he hears the good,
-
the good benefits of becoming and preaching. What thus says
-
the Lord who has to share with him something that
-
no man of God ever wants to share or share
-
it ever has to share, He says Timothy. Now I'm
-
just paraphrasing here. You know, I'm kind of using my imaginations, Timothy,
-
Demons has forsaken me.
-
Demons has walked away from what we preach. Demons has
-
gave up on what God has told him.
-
To do, and demons will not be coming back. I
-
can see it now, and I believe in with everything.
-
It's Timmy.
-
As he got to this part, you know, he tells Timothy,
-
he starts praising.
-
He saying, Son, there's gonna be people that walk away.
-
He's telling him, keep the faith the mister chorus, Timothy.
-
Then he tells him why.
-
Now, Timothy understands why Paul said all that.
-
Now, that's all forfeititive maintenance.
-
We watched our pastor do that. Over the fourth of time,
-
he'll work.
-
On the church. He'll tell us how to do it.
-
And then later on, maybe ten months, we'll go ten
-
months later, we understand the why it all.
-
Makes sense now.
-
Now it all made sense to Timothy why Paul told
-
him treat whatever.
-
It says, no matter what they say, no matter.
-
The afflictions, Timothy, just keep going forward because because deamons
-
has forsaken.
-
Me, and I believe as Paul wrote these, there was
-
tears in his eyes.
-
And I'd hate to be the one that read that letter,
-
Timothy reading that letter, Demons has forsaken me.
-
Demons has forsaken Paul.
-
Why would you walk away from Paul at a time
-
whatever he needs your.
-
Comfort the most, at a time whenever he could use you.
-
Paul is in prison now, demas, he can't go out
-
there and preach in the streets. He's gotta send somebody
-
for Paul. Who needed you, Timothy or Demons.
-
Maybe Timothy's heartbroke as he read the words that Paul
-
wrote to him. Maybe he shall though surely I'm not
-
reading this right.
-
I know for me, if I saw.
-
Something you know sometimes past your shares with us, the
-
bad news of someone falling away, I'll stare at that
-
text for a long time and just say, Oh God,
-
what is it that call thir eye that caused him
-
to turn away? Now, in Paul's letter, he tells him
-
why he's walked away. He says demons had forsaken me
-
because he loved this present world.
-
Demons walked out on Paul. But at the same time
-
he walked out on God.
-
Just for to a little while tonight, I'd like to
-
preach on dizzy Demons. I know that's kind of a
-
crazy title, but dizzy Demons. I believe Demus had a
-
mind battle. I believe his mind was spinning out of
-
control before he made up his decision.
-
Someone tonight, your mind might be spinning out of control.
-
Do I love this world or do I love God
-
it's just what I want? Or do I want to
-
walk away?
-
You are dizzy because you can't get your minded check.
-
You let him right away with you, let it go
-
to places. You may be in the House of God
-
tonight in your body.
-
But you might not be here and spirit or in mine.
-
You can come to church and your mind be upwhere
-
it can be on the Java, it can be on
-
the thames of the world, it can be the places that.
-
It shouldn't be.
-
You don't want to physically walk out on God. You
-
could burst walk out on him in your heart and mind.
-
Did the physical walking out come out later?
-
He was walked out on calm before he in his mind,
-
before he ever physically last team, he was digging with confusion.
-
I believe that with all my heart.
-
Anybody that you know, whenever you get to thinking on
-
something you don't know if it's good.
-
You don't know if you should do it or not.
-
You're getting this, You're getting confused. You don't I don't
-
know if I should actually go. You start weighing after options.
-
You know.
-
It's the same way when you go to take a trip,
-
when you eat in the bad storm somewhere, you.
-
Know, I don't know, I could get in trouble, I
-
could stay here, and the same thing. I believe that's
-
what Demons was waging out of his mind. But yet
-
he just couldn't get passive the things of this world.
-
What is it that caught your eye? What is it
-
that called Demons's eye that he realized, Hey, I love
-
this place, I.
-
Love this world. He left the love of the Father,
-
he let the love of Paul, He left the woe
-
that needed him the most. He walked down on Wana
-
that could take care of him whatever his family needed
-
and whenever he needed straightening, whenever he need an encourageion.
-
He didn't walked out. Don't walk out on the one
-
that he's from God for your soul. I don't know
-
who this is still, it's not for me to know.
-
And don't ever walk out on God. It ain't worth it.
-
I promise you.
-
Everybody that I know in this life that has walked
-
out on people have suffered in some manner. Judas betrayed Jesus,
-
and he walked out de grief from that so badly.
-
And the devil got a hold of him and he
-
went out and hung himself.
-
To this day he suffered from the pain of forsaking
-
Jesus and walking out.
-
You may not.
-
Experience it right then, you may not experience it right now,
-
but I promise you, if you don't get that dendiness
-
off of you, and you don't get your mind focused.
-
On God, and you end up going where we want
-
to go, you experience pain.
-
At some point, Demons was dizzy with decisions and he
-
needed to make.
-
Up his mind what he wanted to do.
-
He ended up making the wrong choice, forsaking Paul. God,
-
the devil has made you so many offers.
-
That seems good, a better job. A better job isn't
-
always what God wants you to have.
-
I just don't have or interfere with his plans or
-
his feature that he has for you. God's ways are
-
past finding out. Don't you ever make a bad choice.
-
You're not gonna be the only one that suffers. You're
-
not gonna be the only one. You got a family
-
that's following behind you.
-
You're sure dizzy. You can't even see straight. Who knows
-
as a child?
-
God? Who knows that someone as a child? Whenever you
-
spin them around and around and around and around. You
-
can't see straight, You can't walk straight. You don't even
-
realize it. Maybe, but the devil's got your funny in
-
the circle. It's offered you one thing at another.
-
You just keep grabbing, grabbing, grab and grabbing, and next
-
thing you know, you're dizzy. And like most adults do,
-
whenever they watch somebody get so dizzy. They find it funny.
-
The devil.
-
He'll get your so fun around that. Later once you fall,
-
you'll find it funny and he'll say I got him.
-
Now I find it got away all hold.
-
Him, I got him so confused. Back then fail down,
-
and they won't anyone realize that.
-
The study stepping back, laughing at you, they says, you
-
can't this straight. You're riding going up your way. Your
-
life's going up, and wait your way. Then they don't
-
your real life. You sit back and laugh at you,
-
would mock you, say you made the wrong choice.
-
All the offers of.
-
The throat baking fall that man.
-
I don't do nothing.
-
They talk playing and suffering. It only takes a couple
-
of sentens for you to get dizzy. Simon, I think
-
it is not my son there.
-
It doesn't take him, but like tooth spins and he
-
can't stand straight. You don't realize that your mind's so
-
dizzy you could be nigh into a fall.
-
Oh God help us.
-
You don't even realize it shook you up so much
-
that you can't even walk straight. You think you're walking
-
in the right direction. You think you're walking in the
-
right direction, but you don't even realize that you're off course.
-
I know what it's like to be dizzey. I want
-
to go there, and I don't even realize because my
-
head spinning. I think I'm walking in the right direction
-
with in reality I'm walking over this way.
-
And then what the deazen is finally said, other you
-
realize just how of course you are what to Dozey is.
-
Finally said other where you've been found in hell? Or
-
where you mean?
-
I don't have to being of Jesus, because if you
-
don't make the wrong choice, I'm probably or the right choice,
-
you'll be found at a place of destitute.
-
To be dizzy is to feel unstable in confused, as
-
he read.
-
And James Ward of Age, the double minded man is
-
unstable in all his ways.
-
He's unstable in his work. Someone has fun you. I
-
want you the next time you go to work, to spend.
-
In about ten circles and then trying to perform a
-
task that your palses don't you to do and.
-
See how it turns out. Find out how your fasse
-
likes the outcome of it.
-
I don't think you'll be pleased, especially if you a
-
wilder or something.
-
God damn and then's trying to strike a peach be
-
all over the place. You can't work, you can't see strange,
-
you can't bat straights. You don't even realize. That's your
-
mind and garbl that's your Disney demons.
-
He's unstable, a Disney person and a double minded man.
-
He's unstable in all the ways. He's unstable in attitudes.
-
He's unstable, and believe he's unstable in preaching. There's so
-
many Disney pastors and preachers in our puppets.
-
Nowadays that they used to preaching like it is. But
-
because their mind, that's start from any time. Why I
-
tell off, I don't him and realize have they walk
-
in and off with the direction they're leading their church
-
down the road in the street. You've been spun by
-
the devil. Now you see it different, you leave differently.
-
You say that ain't God? Y'all will never leave someone
-
where they don't need to be, Never tell some preacher
-
to back it up. God will never.
-
Tell some creature that the Bible does and say what
-
it said and admit to their maiden letter and caught
-
out what.
-
They want and shorting out what they want, preach the
-
whole word of God.
-
I can tell you what will happen to a double
-
minded man to have double vision.
-
When you're spun in a circle and you're dizzy, and
-
you're dizzy, and you're dizzy, you can almost see two two,
-
brother Phillips, you see two ways. You think you're.
-
Walking to him, like Aldi said, but you don't even
-
realize just how a lot of courts you want.
-
I start walking to him and I end up over here.
-
Your double minded, your double visions, and you don't even
-
realize it. Heven's your dazzy now from so much dizziness.
-
They think they're.
-
Walking towards God, but they don't even realize the devil
-
was standing there, arms flat open, saying Demus like, Godsha, Demus,
-
you come through this world.
-
I don't know what it was that caught Demus's eyes.
-
Something did. Something's gotta be.
-
Awfully strong to turn you away from the presence of
-
the world.
-
It ain't gonna be no light like tous.
-
And you think you can handle it on your own,
-
without praying about it, without reading about it, without.
-
Reading the Bible, asking God for instructions. You can't handle
-
it on your own.
-
Demons creatures are backing up on stuff such as standards
-
and be leaves.
-
Friends turning their backs on someone else that sends a
-
lot like demons to me.
-
He walked out on Paul at the time. Paul need
-
any most.
-
That's all right, Demas, for every demons that has forsaken Paul,
-
take a mark to take his place for every themis
-
that for sakes God and for saints Paul? What for
-
Saint this holiness movement? And to mark I don't take
-
its place? Paul told Timothy that grant may Mark.
-
He's beneficial. He can profit now, he's profitable up on
-
the ministry. Go ahead and walk out, Demis, God gotta
-
marking you here. You pulling the ride up and to
-
put it the way you're used to understand, the way
-
you're used to. God don't need you anymore, Demus, go
-
ahead and run to the wind. Demons, go ahead, he
-
said God, Paul Mark will be.
-
A betefit and a better help to God anyway, Boy.
-
This day Judas suffers.
-
Don't end up like densey Deis. Don't walk out on God.
-
You better stop looking at this world. He was slept
-
from the love of the world. What small price are
-
you leaving me? For you just sold God for thirty
-
pieces of silver?
-
Is that right? What do you sell your experience for
-
a quick high?
-
A little bit of extra money in your pocket that's
-
gonna be spent at the next time you go out
-
to heat?
-
It's it really worth? On an outport of the Holy Ghost.
-
I messed with my wife sometimes whenever she don't realize.
-
Sometimes you swap the car. There went two days worth
-
of work in about two seconds. You're making the money,
-
but you're spending it faster than you can make it.
-
Paul Dennison, you go out.
-
There, you're gonna love it for a season, the pleasure
-
and send for a season.
-
Get your eyes on a hugel calorie.
-
Paul saw someone in Mark that was reliable and they said,
-
Mark is profitable for the ministry, pulse in prison.
-
But yet it's mine's on the ministry. There's so many
-
preachers nowadays. Their mind ain't on the ministry.
-
They're on the money, they're on They don't care if
-
you're out sick because they want you to hear what
-
God said.
-
They don't they care because you ain't gonna put an
-
offer that night. They have no mind, ain't on the ministry.
-
Mark had a ministry mind. Mark with ministry minded that card.
-
Paul said, bring him here. He's profitable. Now I can
-
use him. Now I'm in prison. I can't get out there.
-
I need to use him.
-
They don't care for the soul sitting in the Jews.
-
They're dizzy like Denas. Denis was so confused at some point.
-
There's really nothing about these He's mentioned three times. He's
-
mentioned when the names of some other brethren. Then this
-
is the the most we can.
-
Find on demons.
-
For demon has forsaken me having loved this present world.
-
That is a sad outcome, a sad outcome to any
-
child of God or any believer to walk out on
-
God and to say, there's so much to live for
-
in this world.
-
What is the profit of man if he gained the
-
whole world and lose his own soul. You gain all
-
the riches, you gain all the wealth, but yet you
-
lose your soul.
-
You suffer for eternity. Hell is long. You can't afford
-
to be dizzy, You can't afford to get your mind
-
on things of this world.
-
You can't afford to do it your way. It's best
-
just to submit to the Father and submit to his will.
-
If you didn't see it, if we don't see it
-
the way demon season, then we're doing it right. If
-
we're not falling after our own heart, and we're not
-
falling in love with the world, they're will fall in
-
love with the Lord. You're going about of the rightway.
-
Things may be tight, things may be hard, but God's
-
with him. Paul needed someone that was ministry minded. Mark
-
chepped out all the boxes. Demus, on the other hen
-
sadly had his mind on other things. One thing for sure, Demus,
-
in his heart of hearts, couldn't say God and Paul
-
walked out on me.
-
He knew that he was the one that chose to
-
turn and to walk away. Friend, you will never be
-
able to say God gave up on me. God walked
-
out on me. It'll never be the case. God will
-
never give up on you. Matter of fact, if you
-
feel like you haves it's alive from the devil. But
-
although he's standing at the very place you left him,
-
waiting for you to.
-
Return, wait for you to come back, wait for you
-
to quit let yourself get spun up by the devil,
-
wait for you to find him. Realized, I gotta be focused.
-
I gotta get my eyes. I don't think of bud.
-
I gotta forget about this world and all that make pleasures.
-
Don't be like dizzy demons. But God's all stay until
-
he don't ever end up like izzy demas.
-
God, don't be like demons, and get your mind and heart.
-
Stayed on the world. Get your hard and mind stayed
-
on God and the things above. Demus watched out because
-
he couldn't stop.
-
Thinking about worldly things, and it led him to falling
-
in love with the world.
-
We're being spun by the devil.
-
Of Dizziness is a feeling of being unstable, confused.
-
Off balance.
-
You can't afford to be off balance on the edge.
-
If you're on the edge, a teetering you're tottering between
-
should I stay or should I go? Should I do
-
it the way God said it? Should I do it
-
the way the Bible says it, or should I do
-
it my own way? You can't afford to be dizzy
-
at the edge. Demons lost the lot when he left.
-
He lost a great leader, he lost the great friends,
-
but most importantly, he lost God. If your mind's internal,
-
ask God tony to help you or to take to the.
-
Mind from spinning out of control, going from one.
-
Thing to another, because that we ain't gonna stop with
-
one offer. He's not gonna just stop with one little spin.
-
He's gonna get do you enough, spin you enough to
-
where you fall down and you're so confused you don't
-
know which way is right or left, or up or down.
-
I've been so dizzy as kids, as a kid that
-
whenever I fell down, I had a hard time setting up.
-
It's not because I didn't have the strength, because my
-
eyes were playing tricks on me. If you ever looked
-
at someone after they've got done spinning, if you look
-
at their eyes, their eyes are jerking, trying to can't focus.
-
You've looked at this offer, this offer, this offer, this offer.
-
You don't even realize that you're spun up and you're spunk.
-
Come to die.
-
If you have a burden to pray, or if you
-
want to pray, these offers are open.
-
Ask God to help you, Ask God to touch you,
-
Ask him to control your life.
-
You have
