  1. And early this morning, about five forty five, I woke

  2. up to the horrible sound of a grown man screaming.

  3. He had no words to speak. He had nothing to

  4. say because of the horror that he was experiencing, of

  5. the horror that was before him. It was so frightful.

  6. He had no words to speak. All he could do

  7. was express himself through the most blood curdling scream you've

  8. ever heard in your life. I jumped out of bed,

  9. sat down on the bed. I began to reach from

  10. my gun, and I started to charge out in my yard,

  11. and the Holy Ghost prompted me to ask Sister Charity, Charity,

  12. did you hear that? I said, And she rolled over

  13. and she said, no, I didn't hear anything. And God

  14. spoke to me and he said, it wasn't outside, nor

  15. was it inside your house. I have showed you the

  16. future of someone under your influence screaming in horror. And

  17. I've asked the Lord all day long, God, would you

  18. reveal that scream? And I've processed the times that I've

  19. heard some of the men in this building crying to

  20. the Lord, and the times of distress and hardship, or

  21. even when they were just joyfully praising the Lord, and

  22. I've tried to match the scream with a voice, and

  23. some I've crossed off the list. But there's some here

  24. in this building tonight, and some that have passed by

  25. that have been under our influence that I wonder are

  26. they the Man? And what I preach tonight will be

  27. both to men and women, Boys and girls. I want

  28. to ask you to turn to the book of Psalm

  29. May I direct your attention to the ninetieth chapter. In

  30. the twelfth verse, I want to preach a message the

  31. Holy Ghost titled well it's about time again, a message

  32. the Holy Ghost titled well it's about time. Brother Nathanielphesians,

  33. chapter number five. We'll be reading verses number fifteen through seventeen. There, brother,

  34. brother Jesse James, chapter number four and verse number fourteen.

  35. How many of you remember the scriptures that it is

  36. now high time that we awake out of sleep, For

  37. now is our salvation nearer than when we first believed?

  38. And I paraphrase there.

  39. But I want to tell somebody here in this building tonight,

  40. or someone under our influence, someone in our circle of influence,

  41. that it's about time you get serious with God. Brother Nathanielphesians,

  42. chapter number five, Verses number fifteen through seventeen. See then

  43. that thyou walk circumspectfully, not as fools, but as wise

  44. redeeming the times, because.

  45. The days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but

  46. understanding what the will of the Lord is.

  47. Amen, how many of you know it's the will of

  48. the Lord that you redeem the time? Brother Jesse James,

  49. Chapter number four, verse number fourteen.

  50. Brother, whereas ye know not what shall be on tomorrow,

  51. For what is your life? It is even a vapor

  52. that appearth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

  53. Amen.

  54. Let's stand for the reading of our golden text. Psalm

  55. chapter number ninety, verse number twelve. It says, so teach

  56. us to number our days, that we may apply our

  57. hearts unto wisdom. We pray, Heavenly Father, we thank you

  58. for the opportunity to be in your house tonight. We

  59. pray that you would anoint this thy people. Let them

  60. hear what the spirit of God says to the church tonight. Lord,

  61. help them to have an ear to hear what the

  62. spirit of God says. Help us, Lord, as your servant,

  63. to say the things you would have us to say

  64. nothing more or less. I pray God that these sayings

  65. we go below the shoulders, let them saturate the soul

  66. and the spirit of men, women, boys and girls tonight

  67. because I feel a great tremendous burden upon me tonight

  68. to deliver what you would put upon my heart.

  69. And I need your help.

  70. I'm so desperate for your help, God, to reach this

  71. person whom You've allowed me to hear the screams of

  72. this person. I need you to help me tonight. Holy

  73. Ghost in Jesus' name in the church said hey, man,

  74. look at your neighbor and say, hey, neighbor, do.

  75. You serve the Lord?

  76. It's time to serve the Lord. Our text is found

  77. in an Old Testament book of the Holy Bible. In

  78. recent weeks, the Lord himself has directed our attention to

  79. the Hebrew People's song book. Not only is the Book

  80. of Psalm the Hebrew People's songbook, it is the believer's

  81. song book. Every Christian, whether Jew or Gentile, holds this

  82. precious book in their hands and treasures it very often.

  83. This evening, the Holy Ghost has brought to our attention

  84. this ninetieth chapter, and we are focusing upon the twelfth verse,

  85. and Brother Nathaniel, most people in this building probably have

  86. no idea as to who the author of this particular

  87. chapter in the Hebrew song Book is. For those of

  88. you that have put your minds towards a deeper understanding

  89. of scripture, you know this to be a prayer of Moses.

  90. The ninetieth chapter the Book of Psalm is a prayer

  91. of Moses. Moses knew the Lord intimately. He had met

  92. with him face to face in the tent of gathering.

  93. He had special summits with the Lord. He held a

  94. very important leadership role amongst the Hebrew people. In fact,

  95. Brother Jesse brought it to our attention this past Sunday

  96. morning that Moses was used by the Lord to lead

  97. God's people out of slavery, and he spent about forty

  98. years in the wilderness shaping the people of God to

  99. help them be meet for the Master's use and to

  100. help them to enter their promised land. We know, despite

  101. their murmurings and complainings and gripings and grumblings and groanings

  102. and moanings, this man was still the meekest man upon

  103. the face of the earth that time. So we'll call

  104. him the minister meet Moses. But also he was one

  105. to mold and the shape people. And at times, because

  106. of this process of molding, he displaysed his anger and

  107. discussed with these people sinning against God. Again, at times

  108. he displayed strong emotion and manifested his anger and discussed

  109. with the people of God sinning against God. And the

  110. Bible said, let them that Nameth, the name of the Lord,

  111. depart from iniquity. This man, meet Moses, he had been

  112. frustrated after spending time with the Lord. In one particular instance,

  113. he was coming down from the mountain with a revival

  114. spirit and a wonderful attitude of gratitude, and he looked

  115. upon something that was frightful and disgusting, and Brother Nathaniel,

  116. he realized that the people of God had chosen and

  117. to worship a golden calf rather than spending that time

  118. in prayer or seeking the Lord. Those people knew very

  119. well that their leader, meet Moleses, had went into the

  120. mountain to seek the Lord and to call upon the

  121. Lord while he could be found, and to draw nigh

  122. unto the Lord, while the presence of the Lord was near.

  123. And even though they realized that their special somebody that

  124. person that occupied a leadership rolled in their presence, was

  125. doing everything he could do to seek the Lord and

  126. hear from God in order to help them reach their

  127. promised land. They are down there like a bunch of children,

  128. being disorderly and unruly. And Brother Jesse, they're committing idolatry.

  129. They're breaking the commandments before they even receive them. After

  130. all of the things were on the table, the consensus

  131. and the conclud usion of the Man of God and

  132. the Godhead was this Man of God is the meekest

  133. man upon the face of the earth. But it's time

  134. for him to display strong emotion and anger against their sin.

  135. How did this man manage to remain a meek man

  136. and a model leader despite the actions of his followers,

  137. because he spent much time in prayer for himself and

  138. for those whom he loved. And can I tell you

  139. that anybody that truly loves somebody will intercede as intercessor

  140. on their behalf, and it will never be their desire

  141. that somebody be destroyed. You will remember that the great

  142. leader of the New Testament Church, one of the founding fathers,

  143. the great Apostle Paul, said, my prayer for israel Is

  144. that they.

  145. All be saved.

  146. Peter and James and John and other pillars of the

  147. early Church felt the same way that mankind should be saved,

  148. and they desired that everyone be saved. This man spent

  149. countless hours praying for those under his watch? Does it

  150. the thirty four chapter of the Book of Dude Rodemy

  151. number the life span of Moses. Didn't the Bible say

  152. that he was one hundred and twenty years old when

  153. he died?

  154. And you'll find that this meek leader.

  155. Moses gave a farewell address before he died. Not only

  156. did the leader Moses do that, other leaders of God people,

  157. God's people did likewise, namely Joshua, the apostle Paul. A

  158. lot of these men who gave farewell or final addresses

  159. also gave their funeral plans. It has been said that

  160. there is a song that people sing, probably on a

  161. weekly basis in these United States of America, titled to

  162. funeral Plans. I have heard that song sang many times,

  163. and I've seen the presence of God bless God's people.

  164. And in the lyrics of such a.

  165. Song you hear the words of apparently a believer who

  166. at some point in their alive considered the number of

  167. their days, and they made.

  168. Some funeral plans.

  169. We know that the apostle Paul knew very well, through

  170. the spirit of God and through common sense, that the

  171. time of his departure was at hen The meek leader

  172. Moses knew that the time of his departure was at hand,

  173. and he gave a final address. His successor, the great

  174. General and war Lord Joshua, knew when his days had

  175. come to an end, that he needed to give a

  176. final address to God people. And I want to tell

  177. somebody in this building that the Holy Ghost let those

  178. men know that their days were numbered, and their days

  179. were few, and they made some plans before they made

  180. their funeral plans, and before they gave their final address.

  181. And for those that are faint of heart and spirit tonight,

  182. I want to tell you that I am not at

  183. all telling you that I'm about to die. I am

  184. telling you that I heard the scream of a grown

  185. man that literally sent me up and out of my

  186. bed and sent me running to find out who was

  187. in a time of trouble and who was in their

  188. final moments of life. And it's about time that you

  189. make some plans for your future. I'm not talking about

  190. making some funeral plans. I'm not talking about having a

  191. final address to give forth here after the service tonight.

  192. But I'm asking you about your future. You will remember

  193. the prophet spoke to Heza. Kyle was it, and the

  194. prophet came in there and said, I'm telling you right now,

  195. you better set your house in order, because you're gonna

  196. die and you're not gonna live. I want to tell

  197. somebody in this building tonight, or somebody in the circle

  198. of our influence, that God has let me know that

  199. your days are numbered, and that your days will be

  200. few if you do.

  201. Not turn your horse around.

  202. Moses spent countless hours praying for himself and praying for others.

  203. But God, let me know that.

  204. Your selfish spirit has been taken notice by the record

  205. keeper in heaven. And when you look in that thirty

  206. fourth chapter of the Book of Deuterotomy, you see that

  207. Moses's time was spent. After one hundred and twenty years,

  208. he inhaled and exhaled for the last time.

  209. He took his.

  210. Last breath, and his spirit was gone, and he was

  211. in the presence of the Lord. The Bible said concerning

  212. Moses that he wasn't impotent, meaning he was not without strength. No,

  213. he was not powerless, he wasn't weak in vision. Yet

  214. he reached the end of his life. I want you

  215. to know, you don't have to have cancer to be

  216. near the end of your life. You don't have to

  217. have organ failure or sepsis to be at the.

  218. Very end of your life. One hundred and twenty years

  219. is a long time to live.

  220. He spent forty three thousand, eight hundred days on this earth.

  221. Look at what he's set in our goal than text.

  222. As he prayed in Psalm ninety and twelve, it said,

  223. so teach us to number our days, that we may

  224. apply our hearts under wisdom. Friend, Compared to eternity, forty

  225. three thousand, eight hundred days is a short span of time.

  226. I want to ask the.

  227. Young people in here tonight and the elder folks to

  228. a question.

  229. Have you numbered your days?

  230. What did the Bible say about the alloted time of

  231. life for a person? Some of you do not know

  232. where that scripture verse comes from. It comes from the

  233. same chapter that you're looking in tonight, the ninetieth chapter

  234. of the Book of Psalm.

  235. It is in the prayer of Moses, who lived.

  236. One hundred and twenty years, He said, in p. Ninety

  237. and verse number ten, the days of our year our

  238. three score years and ten. And if by reason of

  239. strength they be four score years, yet is their strength

  240. and labor and sorrow?

  241. For it is soon cut off and we fly away.

  242. So according to Moses, upon his careful observation of his

  243. congregats or those that had been in his assembly, he

  244. could say that I would say that there's twenty five thousand,

  245. five hundred and fifty days a lot and for mankind,

  246. or maybe there's twenty nine thousand or two and two

  247. hundred days. And if for some reason they have a

  248. strengthen you remember the Bible said that Moses was not

  249. impetat or he was not powerless.

  250. So this man was able to go beyond.

  251. Seventy years, and to travel on beyond eighty years.

  252. And this man lived a hundred and twenty years.

  253. So you may have twenty five thousand, five hundred and

  254. fifty days, or you may have twenty nine thousand, two

  255. hundred days more or less. But compared to eternity, it

  256. is nothing. The Lord's brother said in his writing in

  257. James chapter number four and verse number four he said

  258. to the believers, whereas ye know not what shall be

  259. on tomorrow, For what is your life? And it is

  260. even a vapor that appeared for a little time and

  261. then vanish away. I did not consult with the authors

  262. of commentaries, nor did I read any sermon books in

  263. order to prepare for to not sermon. I just heard

  264. from God early this morning, and God began to pour

  265. into me the code.

  266. Text and the text that we are using tonight.

  267. As I pondered and considered the fourth chapter and the

  268. fourth verse of the Lord's Brother's epistle bro the Road

  269. cap I realized that the author of that book had

  270. a special relationship with the Lord.

  271. He's one of four of the Lord's brothers.

  272. And he knew that the Lord of Glory himself, the

  273. son of the Carpenter, had only lived a little over

  274. thirty three years better Nathaniel. I don't know how long

  275. his other siblings lived. But he had watched the lifestyle

  276. and the ministry of Jesus, and it convinced him to

  277. become a believer. And he continued until he became a

  278. leader and an elder in the church. And sister how well,

  279. one thing this man hell to is. I don't know

  280. what tomorrow will bring, but the songwriter said, we do

  281. know who holds tomorrow. And oh how he must have

  282. grieved as he stood outside the tomb of He is

  283. an older brother, you know. The Bible spoke of another James,

  284. one that was interested in being the greatest in the kingdom.

  285. In fact, most historians and have labeled him James and

  286. the greater. You'll know who I'm talking about, John the

  287. Beloved's brother. They were partners in their father's commercial fishing business,

  288. and their mother was not afraid to approach Jesus and

  289. to ask for one to be allowed to sit on

  290. the ride and one to sit on the left. I'm

  291. telling you, this particular brother of Jesus must have a

  292. little bit about the brother of John, for they are

  293. not one and the same. Every time you read the

  294. name James in the Bible, it's not always talking about

  295. the Lord's brother, nor is it always talking about John

  296. the Beloved's brother.

  297. You know what happened to John the Beloved's brother.

  298. The Bible said that Herod Grippa, he was willing to

  299. please the Jews, and he cut the life of that

  300. pillar of the church James short.

  301. Oh, come on now.

  302. But those of you that know anything at all about

  303. the Bible, you know that John, the brother of James was.

  304. Permitted to live for a long time, but it.

  305. Did not matter in James the Lord's Brother's eyes whether

  306. you live for a little while or lived a long

  307. tim And you don't know what tomorrow is gonna bring.

  308. And I can tell that their sumber under our influence.

  309. And that may not be a lot. But there are.

  310. Some that better listen to what God said in this

  311. erm in the night. I hope you started listening with

  312. Sister Howell super to service up immediately she let us

  313. in the old song and found in the Church of

  314. God read back him.

  315. No, the last mile of the way, I left my

  316. suit coat.

  317. Behind the night, I said God, I want to get

  318. out among the people. I wanna be as much one

  319. of them as I can be. I wanna run in

  320. and amongst them and let them know. Somebody is in trouble,

  321. somebody is in the last mile, somebody he was in

  322. the final moments. And then Brother Joshua got up here

  323. and said, I've had two close calls in the last

  324. few days. I'm glad, I'm ready I'm asking you here tonight.

  325. Are you ready?

  326. You may be happy now, but that's got nothing had

  327. all to do with that. James, the Greater an Apostle

  328. was beheaded by Herod, by Herod Agrippa, And I'm sure

  329. there were some that said, what sense did that make?

  330. What in the world was God thinking when that happened?

  331. We needed James, Oh, the children of Israel needed Moses.

  332. And years later, when Joshua had scribbled at his funeral

  333. plans and was given us final address, the church needed Joshua.

  334. And the same thing with the Apostle Paul when he

  335. is saying that Agabus, that supersensitive and spiritual man is

  336. telling people when I go to a rom in the courtroom,

  337. they're gonna bind me, I'm gonna be in prison and

  338. I'm gonna lose my life. Apostle Paul lets them know

  339. I already know about this. What about when the great

  340. man Eliza was near the end of his life, the

  341. sons of the prophets had an idea that something was

  342. about to happen. Was it because of the way Elijah

  343. had his face.

  344. Set towards Jordan?

  345. Was it because of the way Elijah looked into the horizon.

  346. Was it because of the way Elisha followed Elijah that day,

  347. Probably because Elijah had told Elisha, if you see me

  348. be taken from you, if you see me be carried away,

  349. then I will grant the request of a double portion

  350. coming down upon you. I don't know what it was

  351. that brought enlightenment and understanding to the sons of the

  352. prophets that looked on. But they knew Elijah was gonna

  353. leave that day. I said, they knew and Elijah was

  354. gonna leave that day. And do y'all remember what Eliza

  355. said when they tried to preach a sermon he had

  356. already heard. He said, hold your peace. Oh come on,

  357. I'm telling you right here tonight. If you're ready to

  358. meet God and you got your eyes focused on something

  359. beyond the finished line, you have no reason at all

  360. to be anxious, and you have no reason at all

  361. to be concerned that. I'm not talking to an Elijah

  362. or an Eliza tonight.

  363. I'm talking to a Gahesea.

  364. You better lies what's going on, and you better realize the.

  365. Time clock of your life.

  366. Is about to take this last talk. Oh God, I

  367. heard you scream. I heard you cry. What in the

  368. world we are taking to get you to pray. We

  369. needed that man. The Hebrew believers would have said of

  370. the Apostle Paul, we needed his preaching, We needed his teaching.

  371. We needed that one that would stand up for holiness

  372. and righteousness and truth. We knew that one that would

  373. draw a line in the sand would be willing to

  374. run across the finish line and to finish his race. Oh,

  375. come on, the Apostle Paul knew better than anybody about

  376. the brevity of life. In their part of the world.

  377. These people did not have the grass like we have

  378. in Florida. In fact, the great Apostle Paul and some

  379. of these people would have understood that in their particular

  380. part of the world, the grass sprouts up home the morning,

  381. and then, sister Howell, after it stood up and proved

  382. itself to be grass, only a little while, is it

  383. withered and cut down by evening all the brevity of life.

  384. What should I do, then, Brother Jeremy, I sent she birden.

  385. I understand that God is making it clear that I

  386. better set them my house in order.

  387. Well, let's see what Moses recommended.

  388. If you go back to our gold in text him,

  389. you will see that he was praying, and he said,

  390. teach us to number our days. He's saying, you better

  391. stop and think about the brevet of life, and you

  392. better embrace the value of each and every day.

  393. What he's saying to you, better treasure and the moments. Oh,

  394. come on.

  395. I feel like their summon in this building that do

  396. not recognize it's only the goodness of God that keeps

  397. us from being destroyed.

  398. It's only by the mercies of God that.

  399. Are renewed each morning. You oughta thank God for another day.

  400. I said, you otta thank God that's you live to

  401. see the sunrise of another day.

  402. So teach us to value a day.

  403. So teach us to consider what we're doing with our

  404. time in that.

  405. Twenty four hour period called a day.

  406. I've heard elders in this church testify to people in

  407. this building and say, I've lived through the night to

  408. see another day. I've heard elders in this church say,

  409. what's another Sunday? And it's another Wednesday. And I will

  410. praise the Lord, but I will also praise him on Monday.

  411. I will praise him on Tuesday. I will praise him

  412. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Because they know the value

  413. of a day. I know what the value of a

  414. day is. I realize that if Sister Howl and I

  415. did not have a good day for whatever reason, perhaps

  416. I had to preach a funeral service, or perhaps things

  417. didn't go that day the way we thought they would go.

  418. A new day represents another opportunity, another moment. There's some

  419. of you in this building. You've been to bed with regrets.

  420. During the night, you've struggled. We're releasing the regret. Oh,

  421. come on now, you regret that you didn't do something

  422. you should have done. And some of you did something

  423. you didn't want to do with no intentions of doing it.

  424. How come on, some of you, I'm gonna say it

  425. against some of you did something you did not want

  426. to do. You woke up with no intentions of doing it,

  427. but you did it anyway, and during the night you

  428. regret it that you did it. You know what that

  429. sunrise represents. It represents an opportunity to redeem yourself.

  430. It offers an opportunity of redemption.

  431. A new morning, a new day, another opportunity. And I

  432. want you to know tonight's message is a sunrise in

  433. your life. It's one more sunrise before the last sunset?

  434. Could this be your less sunrise? Could this be your awake?

  435. God news? I said, God News, today, what's your last day?

  436. And they won't be a new day. God knows if.

  437. Your days have been expired, you may not live to

  438. see another day.

  439. You're not getting this.

  440. I don't guess I've ever heard a grown man's cream

  441. in a vision so loud that it would move me

  442. to go outside in the sea. Who's dying in my driveway?

  443. I'm telling you how I felt. I felt like a

  444. lion had taken somebody by the neck, a panther had

  445. taken somebody by the neck. And it wasn't so much

  446. the horror of the situation of the pain. It was

  447. the realization I will not be here tomorrow. It was

  448. like a construction worker that have fallen on three or

  449. four sticks of rebar that are in place, and realize

  450. one of them hit the a order, and one of

  451. them hit the intestines, and another one hit the neck

  452. and sufvered the corotid artery. They would realize right then,

  453. I will not live another day to hold my wife.

  454. I will not live another day to rock my baby.

  455. That's what I heard, and that's what brought me out

  456. of bed, and that's what set me on the end

  457. of my bed and get me dressed, and made me

  458. look for a handgun to see what was going on

  459. on the outside.

  460. And God said, it ain't going on out there.

  461. It'll be with somebody in their final moments are experiencing

  462. when they go through that without me. I want to

  463. tell you you can live like the people in this

  464. world do every day if you walk to supposing there's

  465. no tomorrow, supposing there's no eternity.

  466. That I want you to know.

  467. This hell to pay for living today without considering.

  468. The value of the day.

  469. Yesterday you may have said something that hurd a dear friend,

  470. and today you felt an opportunity to bring healing to

  471. that wound. The Bible offered counsel concerning what I'm preaching

  472. on tonight. It said, letting not the sun go down

  473. upon thy wrath. You know why that is because you

  474. might die and never live.

  475. To make it right. Oh, come on now.

  476. I remember that morning that sister Howell received a phone

  477. call from her mother that her dad was in critical condition.

  478. He had went out that morning to tinker, as was

  479. his custom and way. He had went out to that

  480. bullshead to just busy, not to fritter away an entire day,

  481. to make the best use out of the day, even

  482. though he was somewhat limited do to a dehabilitating illness.

  483. And Leverne went out there to check on him, and

  484. she found him laying in the floor purple. She called

  485. sister Howell. After the holy ghost had led us to

  486. go back home. I said, Charity, I feel like I

  487. need to go back inside. And so I got out

  488. of the vehicle, walked back inside and looked and my

  489. answer machine it was flashing and saying one new message,

  490. one new message. In with Sister Charity in the vehicle

  491. and our six kids in the back of that many van,

  492. I hit play. They said, Charity, this is your mama.

  493. Her daddy is down and it doesn't look good. He's purple.

  494. I knew right then why God had sent me back

  495. inside the house to check the answer machine, because we

  496. would have spent.

  497. All day long in tail not knowing her daddy had died.

  498. Come on, now, are you listening the pastor how in

  499. this building today? As we went to the lake the

  500. regional hospital, and as we walked down the aisle, her

  501. sister she came out, just begin to shake her head.

  502. The words had to be spoken, and he had lived

  503. this last day. It was his final day, and Sister

  504. Charity began to cry again because they could not resuscitate him,

  505. They could not revive him. There would not be another day.

  506. He would not live another day. He would not live.

  507. To see another sun rise.

  508. I'm telling you you better not take that first morning

  509. coffee for granted, you better not take that Bible before breakfast,

  510. for granted.

  511. You don't know when your last day will be.

  512. So many people are crossing their fingers and their toes

  513. and taking a chance that they'll always pastor that church.

  514. They're taking a chance there'll always be that group of kids, Daddy.

  515. They're taking a chance they'll always be that man's wife.

  516. They're taking a chance that'll always be their pew. Brother, Jonathan,

  517. I love you dearly. You married my only daughter, the

  518. princess in my life, the princess of the Howels. Even

  519. though you change your last name, praise the Lord. But

  520. I want you to know you're not guaranteed that to

  521. be Jonathan's pew, no more than I'm guaranteed for that

  522. to be Jeremy's poolpit. Oh, y'all caught pastor's pool pit,

  523. but that could change in a moment.

  524. Or y'all with me, you'll.

  525. Call that pastor's office, but that could change in one week.

  526. My boss, I'm telling you. You call it your house,

  527. and you call it your key. But that old holiness

  528. woman used to stand up and shake her keys, and

  529. she said, if God calls me through death, to hope,

  530. he calls me through the raster in the sky, I'm gone.

  531. You can have my car, you can have my house,

  532. you can have her, whatever it is I've got her.

  533. I won't want it and I won't need it. Somebody

  534. said you'd never seen a hearse following no U haul

  535. following a hearse, Brother Nathaniel, the men of the Bass family,

  536. and Brother Howell, sister Charity's husband. We held our composure

  537. as the best women went through a horrible time because

  538. we had to. I had no choice but to be

  539. strong the other day while your world rocked. I had

  540. no choice and to grab you and hug you and say,

  541. brother Justin, be still, be strong, don't have a heart attack.

  542. And we were standing in there being strong, Sister Walker,

  543. and he's dead. You know, you pick up one arm

  544. and you turn loose of it because you forget he's dead,

  545. and it falls. I watched my wife's brothers do that

  546. a couple of times, and they would try to put

  547. his hands on his abdomen, and they would put them there,

  548. brother would and they would fall. Rigamortis had set in yet,

  549. and that was a horrible thing to watch them trying

  550. to hold their daddy's hands into position until rigamortis set in,

  551. Brother Jeremiah. Then finally God spoke to me, and he said,

  552. put your hand on her baby brother's shoulder. And I

  553. did without saying a word, and immediately he broke and

  554. he wept, and he cried the same way Joseph wept

  555. and cried over his brothers. Her baby brother beginning to

  556. show strong emotion. It was on display for nurses and

  557. sir that tried to resuscitate him. I didn't know why

  558. God had told me put your hand on his shoulder.

  559. He was needing to vent, he was needing to express.

  560. And you know what he said. He looked at me

  561. and said words, I will never forget. He said, I

  562. should have told him I loved him. I said, you

  563. told him thousands of times, he said, But the one time,

  564. it mattered.

  565. I didn't tell him. He said.

  566. I was over at his house yesterday evening and he said,

  567. I got done helping him with something up, and he said,

  568. my daddy said, Shaner, I love you, and he said

  569. I will, so he is. He and I needed to

  570. go somewhere. I got in the car and I forgot

  571. to say I love you too.

  572. He said. I told about it as I drove down

  573. the road.

  574. And now I give anything if he come back and

  575. let me tell him I love you, it'd be okay.

  576. If I could have just told him what I wanted

  577. to tell him. I said, he knew you loved him.

  578. He said, yeah, but I should.

  579. Have told them.

  580. And there's gonna be a lot of holin us preachers.

  581. You should have told them what they saith, the word

  582. of God. If you love them, you'll tell them. Apostle

  583. Paul told him. Moses told him, Joshua, what told him

  584. my God in heaven.

  585. To commit that die.

  586. So many people are frittering away an entire day. So

  587. many people are wasting there are allotted time on things

  588. that are meaningless. Really, many people are wasting their god

  589. given time on things that are meaningless. Let me tell

  590. you some of them that your youth pastor hit this

  591. past Friday night, and I was shocked that he had

  592. to hit him at to betha hole in his church.

  593. Online video gaming, online video gaming. I wonder how many

  594. people are losing an opportunity for a precious memory because

  595. they're so busy video gaming.

  596. What about social media surfing?

  597. I wonder how many countless hours which equate to numerous

  598. days that have been wasted on somebody's surfing social media.

  599. If a doctor had a told you you had two

  600. weeks left, what would you do with that time? If

  601. a doctor had a told you before you came here

  602. to night, you've got two weeks left, what would you

  603. do with your time?

  604. On? Come on now?

  605. But you don't even know if you've got two weeks left.

  606. You may have two days, Oh, you may have two hours. Oh.

  607. I feel a lot preaching up to you. It don't

  608. matter what the doctor said, what Moses said, then, what

  609. Jesus said, is you better redeem the time?

  610. My God, we ain't got time for there to be enviians.

  611. Disputings, murmurings, fussings and fightings. One of the things I've

  612. taught the Howoll family, sister Tracy is, we ain't got

  613. time for that because we don't want any regrets. And

  614. as far as I can tell, sister Tracy and brother

  615. Danny have come into the Howell family and they have

  616. not brought that kind of stuff into our family. But

  617. you know what, there's a lot of churches. They are

  618. full of envying, disputings, disharmonies, discords, things that God hates.

  619. They can't even get a lot. And then at the

  620. funeral they bake a castlerole and they bake a loaf

  621. of bread and act like they cared. Oh, come on, now,

  622. you bring me the flowers on this side of life.

  623. I said, you bring me the fowers and appreciation cards

  624. on this.

  625. Side of life.

  626. Amen.

  627. They pretend like they love that brother, They pretend they

  628. love that sister. Your castle role ain't worth nothing. If

  629. you didn't see that little sister that was struggling, pray

  630. in the altar and feel lad to pray for your

  631. castle role don't mean nothing. If you saw that bomb

  632. over there on the street and you were so business

  633. surface social media that you forgot that. They say, Jesus cares,

  634. Jesus cares Jesus.

  635. Come on now, I'm telling you there's some of you.

  636. You might shape up if the doctor told you you

  637. had four weeks to live. But I'm not so sure

  638. about that. I believe some of you have wait till

  639. you had four days. Oh, come on, now, the peril

  640. and procrastination. What about them preachers? And then people that

  641. knew they better relocate, They knew they better change their situation.

  642. They knew they better move to an anointed atmosphere, but

  643. they chose to do otherwise. And now they've lost their wife,

  644. and now they've lost their children. They tell me that

  645. divorce is worse than death. There's some of me, and

  646. he would have done what God told him to do.

  647. They wouldn't have felt something. Eh, that's worse their death.

  648. Amen redeeming the time, because the days are evil. The

  649. apostle Paul wrote in his epistle epheasents five and sixteen.

  650. Our golden text said teach us to number our days,

  651. that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. It's a

  652. lack of wisdom not to pray in the altar. It's

  653. a lack of wisdom not to go to church. I

  654. know we have things that come up. I know we

  655. get sick and we can't make it. But it is

  656. a lack of wisdom not to redeem the time. Why,

  657. because we live in an evil time, in perilous days.

  658. I'm feeling glad to tell someone your one breath away

  659. from eternity. The death Angel is just one step behind.

  660. I'm preaching on a message the Holy Ghost titled well

  661. it's about time. You ever heard some mom or dad

  662. speak concerning their child and say, well, it's about time

  663. that they learn to take some responsibility under themselves. Around here,

  664. you ever heard a pastor of first later and the

  665. elder say, well, it was about time that they quit

  666. Dilley dill in with Delilah. It was a about time

  667. that they stopped looking at the limelight of the world.

  668. It was about time that prodigal son got out of

  669. the hog pen. Oh, come on, now, it was about

  670. time they learned how to worship to Lord. You heard

  671. brother Philip say that a couple of years ago. I

  672. literally set him in the hot seat and I asked him,

  673. brother Philip, when are you gonna use that singing talent

  674. unto God?

  675. When are you gonna use that singing talent unto God?

  676. And be a blessing to your wife and your daughter

  677. and your church family, he said. Ever since Pastor pointed

  678. that out to me, I've been singing with all of

  679. my strength. Oh when are you going to praise the Lord?

  680. Oh? Come on?

  681. Recently I talked about things being done decently and in order.

  682. Oh come on.

  683. Some of you are so worried about somebody getting out

  684. of order and somebody getting out of line.

  685. I'm gonna tell you what's worse. There's somebody running around

  686. the church too many times. It's somebody trying to.

  687. Stay in order so much that they never move out

  688. of their pew. It's time to worship the Lord. Now,

  689. it's time to praise the Lord. So many people are

  690. talking about this and that having wildfire is no worse

  691. than having no fire. What you need is the fire.

  692. Having a loud voice, this too, loud, is no worse

  693. than having no voice.

  694. What you need is a voice.

  695. And you don't know if you're gonna have tomorrow for

  696. your child to say, I heard my mama pray. You

  697. don't know if you're gonna have the next service for

  698. a child to say. I remember my mother who running

  699. around singing the high praises of God in his house.

  700. We put off for tomorrow. Things that should be done today.

  701. Now is the appointed time. Now is the day of

  702. salvation from whatever it.

  703. Is that bullies you sin.

  704. Now's this opportunity for salvation from shyness, backwardness, bashfulness. Oh

  705. come on now you can point the finger at wildfire.

  706. Oh you want too, but no fire. It's just as horrible.

  707. I'm feeling lad to tell somebody you're one step away

  708. from eternity. Wasting time is unwise. Be careful how you live.

  709. You aren't getting any younger. You're running out of time.

  710. These are perilous times. Fossil Peter said, save you sell

  711. from the untoward generation, preserve yourself from the perverted generation.

  712. It's true people waste years, but brother Wood, they also

  713. waste days. They waste moments of time. That's something you

  714. won't ever get back. I feel like saying it again.

  715. That's something you'll never get back. Last night, sister how

  716. went on some US time with me. Me and sister

  717. Hall had a some US time. I'm telling you what

  718. we've been living to dream. We went to pictures on

  719. Sunday afternoon. We went to pictures on Monday afternoon. We

  720. went out back on Tuesday. Because you people have been

  721. so good to us. We're living on gift cards, living

  722. on plastic steak crab as well, because you people are

  723. so good to us. I have a stack of gift

  724. cards three and a quarter inches deep because you people

  725. are so good to us. And then one of y'all,

  726. for some reason, decided to give us a cold Stone

  727. Creamery card. And you know who you are. If you're guilty,

  728. raise your hand, raise your hand. One of you gave

  729. us a cold Stone card. There it is, Brother Samuel.

  730. How God knows what you need, when you need it,

  731. He'll see to it you get it. And we're walking

  732. around the entire perimeter of the Golf Coast Town Center

  733. getting exercise. And I took a short cut just for

  734. a minute, and I said, right, there's Coldstone Creamery.

  735. We had walked, I'm telling you about four thousand steps.

  736. And sister, how we went in there and got that

  737. ice cream because we knew were gonna walk them calories off.

  738. We're not gonna fretterate an entire day. We're gonna do something.

  739. I'm talking to somebody. You better get up, you better

  740. get some exercise, You better be good to somebody. You

  741. better enjoy that spouse while you have them. You better

  742. enjoy them children while you have them. And brother Nathaniel

  743. right there at the Gulf Coast Town Center at the mall,

  744. there's a green area like you and I hung out

  745. in in Chicago, in the Illinois between meetings, and there

  746. it is, and there's all sorts of kids in there playing,

  747. and there's parents with their children and brother there's some

  748. on their cell phone, you could tell thumbing through social

  749. media or the news. But there was one mama out

  750. there playing catch with her son. There was another guy

  751. over there kicking a ball with his and there was

  752. some women pushing their children in the swing set. Now

  753. this was probably when God began to deal with me

  754. about this. And I looked at Sister Howell and I said, honey,

  755. it ain't been that long ago that we had six

  756. of them out there ourselves. And she teared up and

  757. her lip went to quivering, and she said, it just

  758. seemed like it was just yesterday. And that's what I

  759. want to tell you. You could ask Sister Wooting tonight.

  760. It seemed like it was just yesterday. She was giving

  761. Jean's hand an extra squeeze.

  762. Oh come home, Now I'm preaching to you here tonight.

  763. I'm telling you you better put a value on each

  764. and every day, and you better make the most of it.

  765. You better make a the best of it. Amen. It's

  766. just Sunday. It's just that special day, you know.

  767. We go to church and I just get the kids

  768. dressed and they look so cute, and I take a picture.

  769. The kids ain't gonna remember you taking a selfie or

  770. a snapshot, but they will remember you praying and singing

  771. them kids out there in the greenway. They ain't gonna

  772. remember the Stone Cold Creamery. They ain't gonna remember the

  773. new Japanese steakhouse that I plan to try out next week.

  774. They ain't gonna remember exactly what was in the playground.

  775. They're not gonna remember what the playground equipment was. But

  776. what they are gonna remember his daddy giving them that swing.

  777. They asked for that extra push. Give me one more swing,

  778. Give me one more push.

  779. Dad.

  780. What they are gonna remember is that Mama, that little

  781. boy was no Major League Baseball starr in the making.

  782. I'm athletic, or I was athletic. I played sports all

  783. my life, from the time I was five years old

  784. until God saved me and I looked and I said,

  785. that ain't no rolling Nolan Ryan right there in the making.

  786. He was dopey, he was clumsy, He missed several balls

  787. as Mama threw, but she smiled real big and Sister

  788. hen in his mind he was a superstar. And the

  789. way he stood there, Sister Hill, all because somebody took

  790. time for him. And I see people nowadays, they ain't

  791. got time for other people. You better make time before

  792. time runs out. That's my burden. You better make time.

  793. There's one thing, Sister how and I never go to

  794. bed with, and that's the regret of spending time with

  795. our kids. I ain't lost one second sleep over wondering.

  796. Even in the middle of ministry and great sacrifice, there

  797. were times I said I'm going to the park today.

  798. And on top of that, these are perilous times. There's

  799. some of you. The reason why your children are rebellious

  800. and you know it to be true, and you better

  801. be careful because it could happen again, is because you

  802. never ask them what would you like to do today?

  803. Mine are evan on thirty years of age now, and

  804. I still ask them sometimes, how does a pelican snowball

  805. sound to?

  806. You?

  807. Say?

  808. It sounds great.

  809. Dad, as a pastor, I'm pulled in so many directions tonight,

  810. but let me steer it back on course. When the

  811. death angel puts in his sickle and he curves that

  812. blade and rips your stalk in half, it'll be too late.

  813. Where the tree falls, there it lies. And that's what

  814. I heard, Brother Jesse, was the screams of a grown

  815. man that realized I waited too late to pray. Friend,

  816. when that day comes, you've waited too late to get

  817. the moment to pray back. Phesians five and fifteen says

  818. walk circumspectively, not as fools. But why is the next

  819. verse was our co text redeeming the time because the

  820. days are evil? Then the next verse, Brother Nathaniel basically says,

  821. you better determine God's will.

  822. Every day.

  823. It's precious. It's a gift from the Lord. Where has

  824. time gone? Sister Wooting? I have a picture proven that

  825. Jean was once my member, but I don't have his

  826. person to prove he remains my member. And Isaiah thirty eight,

  827. verse number one, the son of Amos, the mighty prophet

  828. of God, Isaiah.

  829. Walked in.

  830. And he told a king and I'm not telling the

  831. king anything tonight. I'm telling a commenter like myself. But

  832. he told a king set your house in order. Years ago.

  833. I heard this. I looked it up today. It goes

  834. like this. Yesterday is history, Tomorrow is a mystery. Today

  835. is a gift. That is why it's called a present.

  836. Should I say that again? Yesterday is history, Tomorrow is

  837. a mystery. Today is a gift. That is why it's

  838. called the present. I'm preaching on, Well, it's about time

  839. you take your wife by the hand again. It's about

  840. time you show her you love her. It's about time

  841. you buy her flowers. It's about time you tell that

  842. child I love you. It's about time. How about that

  843. relationship with Christ? How's that going? How are things between

  844. you and Jesus? How are things between you two right now?

  845. Have you had time for him? You better make some

  846. funeral plans. You better prepare that final address. Moses had to,

  847. Joshua had to, Paul had to Jeremy. How one day

  848. stand up here and the members of Bethel will realize

  849. he ain't talking to somebody else, He's talking to himself.

  850. And brother Jesse. Should I die, Tomar? You know what

  851. every person in this church. You'll say he was preaching

  852. to himself, and you know what, Thank God I was.

  853. Let's stand you the thought that are into the altar.

  854. By now, I heard a preacher who meant well recently

  855. say he said, I don't want to embarrass anybody, so

  856. we're going to have a general altar call. I thought, Man,

  857. that ain't the way we've done it for years. When

  858. the night I got saved, I'm glad somebody gave me

  859. an opportunity to be embarrassed. I'm glad somebody believed I

  860. was sick and tired of living in sin. And Second Timothy,

  861. chapter number four, Paul let Timothy know I'm ready and

  862. the time of my departure is at hand.

  863. I'm ready to be offered.

  864. And then, if I could paraphrase, he said, if you

  865. look at my knuckles, I didn't beat the air.

  866. I fought a good fight.

  867. If you look at my kneecaps, I didn't wear knee pads.

  868. They're calloused in their skin because when I got up,

  869. I got up a cup running. Dad, do you really

  870. feel like checking out what's going on in them? Holding

  871. his churches at their backsliding on their social media page

  872. you're forgetting to listen to the coup.

  873. Of the baby.

  874. You're forgetting to listen, say the guy, Guy, good guy.

  875. Sister Charity and I felt led to go see her

  876. mother just a few weeks ago. Little didn't we know

  877. she would stumble in publics and fracture her shoulder and

  878. call us and say, I know Bethe will be having

  879. church in the morning.

  880. Would y'all pray for me? Well? We did.

  881. Sunday we had a healing service, and on Tuesday I

  882. got to text she said, I went to the doctor

  883. and miraculously I don't need surgery. I'm glad we took

  884. some time to pray. The Holy Ghost is drawing right now.

  885. You're not waiting on me. We've been in this long

  886. enough to know we're waiting on you. It's about time.

  887. It's about time, brother Jesse. It's about time they put

  888. away the childish things and do what men and women

  889. do and build an altar. There's some people under the

  890. sound of my voice, you don't know what tomorrow holds.

  891. I'm even going to give our musicians a break tonight,

  892. to give every person an opportunity to humble themselves and pray.

  893. You better tell them why you've got a voice to do,

  894. so you better show them while you can. Moses showed

  895. his people how to do it. You want to talk

  896. about wisdom, he said. Wisdom is numbering your days and

  897. knowing you may be out of time to tell them.

  898. You know why we tell people the truth because this

  899. may be my last message. And if I die tomorrow

  900. and not having told him the truth on holiness, I

  901. will have lived my life never telling them. You need

  902. to consider your days. The grass springs up, it sprouts,

  903. and then in a short time it withers away.

  904. What is life but a vapor. It's just a whisk

  905. of air, a vapor.

  906. Somebody needs to release the regret and pray and ask

  907. the Lord to help you. It's a new beginning for you.

  908. It's a new opportunity. It's a new day. Go and

  909. sin no more, Go and sin no more.

  910. Even Hazeki.

  911. Walked away from distraction, turned his face to the wall,

  912. and he prayed, and God helped him. And God helped him,

  913. and he received more time because he humbled himself and prayed.

  914. That's what we need to do right now, is humble

  915. ourself and pray.
