  1. So thankful to be here tonight. We do terribly, terribly

  2. miss our pastor and the others that are out. We

  3. do pray for a quick and speedy recover for our

  4. dear little sister. I'm gonna be very brief. Pastor said,

  5. don't take too long, so I'm not going to trust me.

  6. Praise God. If you'll turn with me to the Psalms

  7. chapter nine, verse number ten a verse I've had on

  8. my heart and mind for several several weeks, maybe even

  9. a month now. Psalms chapter nine, verse ten says, and

  10. they that know thy name will put their trust in THEE,

  11. for thou Lord hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

  12. Y'all can be seated. I will read one more scripture

  13. very quickly, and then we'll try to deliver what the

  14. Lord wants us to and get out of the way

  15. so these other brothers can maybe clean up my mess.

  16. Deuteronomy twenty eight and two. And all these blessings shall

  17. come on thee and overtake thee if thou shalt hearken

  18. unto the voice of the Lord, thy God. And my

  19. thought was overtaken, but never forsaken. We know God is faithful.

  20. We know the character. That's what came to me earlier

  21. standing by the door, that we know the character of Jesus.

  22. We know it. We know we can trust him, we

  23. know we can believe in him. We know it. And

  24. that's why, as the Psalmist here said, Lord, you don't

  25. forsake He knew his character too. He knew that whenever

  26. he sought the Lord, every time, he's all God and

  27. really meant it, really got into it. God never forsook him.

  28. Matter of fact, they believe by Jesse you tonight said,

  29. never seen the righteous forsaken. But we have to seek him.

  30. But we have to be righteous. Over there in Deuteronomy,

  31. Moses was telling him, look, everything great, everything wonderful, all

  32. this good is going to come on you if I

  33. do believe. If is the biggest little word out there,

  34. so many promises. Hang on. If if you will, God will,

  35. if you will seek him, He'll never forsake you. If

  36. you'll trust in him, you can see the good things

  37. of God. If you'll do his commandments, then all this

  38. will follow after. But we must first seek. If we

  39. pursue him and his will, he will pursue us with

  40. his glory and his blessings. If we, as Jude said,

  41. if we earnestly contend for the faith Hebrews said, to

  42. diligently seek him. We've got to do our part. Five

  43. minutes a week ain't gonna cut it. I dare say

  44. even an hour a week, it's not gonna cut it.

  45. Just because we show up that the church, that doesn't

  46. necessarily mean that we've sought him. Just because we darkened

  47. the door doesn't mean that we are diligently seeking him,

  48. that we're earnestly contending for the faith. We've got to

  49. do a little bit more. We've got to put our

  50. knees into it, put our will into it, put our

  51. faith into it. I do thank God that another thing

  52. he gave me. I feel like it was the Lord

  53. that spoke this into me, to my heart a couple

  54. of days ago. We're not overwhelmed because his goodness overtook me.

  55. I know, Brother Samuel is probably feeling a little bit overwhelmed,

  56. But we know the character of our Christ Christ will

  57. not let him be overwhelmed. Even in the middle of

  58. situations that are stormy, that are dark, that are just

  59. more than what we should be able to handle. We're

  60. not overwhelmed. As Brother Jonathan was testifying just a little

  61. bit earlier, he knew where to turn to. It was

  62. getting black, it was getting dark, it was getting very,

  63. very urgent. It was getting to the point of emergency,

  64. it seemed like. But before the overwhelming happened, God's mercy

  65. and grace overtook them, and he took control. And how

  66. many times I know we've seen it, and I know

  67. in the middle of it we I feel like, Oh God,

  68. I can't handle this. No, you can't. That's why you

  69. give it to him. That's why you seek him. That's

  70. why you've sought him. That's why you've kept his commandments.

  71. That's why you've done everything he's asked you to do,

  72. because you know there will come a time and every

  73. person's heart, every person's life, every persons person's situation, there

  74. will come a time when you can't handle it. But

  75. the situation doesn't have to overwhelm us because God has

  76. overtaken us. I may have faltered, and many times I have,

  77. but He never forsook me. No matter how many times

  78. I stumble. If I'll reach back up, He'll reach back down,

  79. no matter the dirt, no matter the stones that are

  80. stuck into my hands and they're stuck in my knees,

  81. And no matter the lacerations, I can still take that

  82. hand and put it up to him and say, Lord,

  83. I've done it again. I should have saw that stumbling stone.

  84. I should have seen it, but I didn't, and I

  85. fell over it. Would you have reached down one more time?

  86. And he does because he doesn't forsake those that seek him.

  87. He's faithful always, in all situations. He is so faithful.

  88. And I don't know why, except that he's God. I

  89. don't know why he continues to be faithful to me.

  90. I don't know why it continues to reach down that

  91. hand one more time, call me son and put me

  92. back on my feet. I do appreciate God
