Simon's Sturdy Faith versus Satan Seismic Forces, Brother Nathaniel Luke,

Chapter number twenty two Versus number thirty one through thirty four,

number nine. Let's pray for those that just had to leave.

There's no doubt in my mind at all that some

sort of emergency has come up. Y'all pray for them

for traveling mercies, Brother Jeremiah, you could send them a

Seismic Forces, Brother Nathaniel Luke, Chapter number twenty two Versus

number thirty one through thirty four, And Brother Jesse Jeremiah,

Chapter number twenty and verse number nine, Brother Nathaniel, would

you read those verses of scripture?

My brother?

And the Lord said Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired

to have you, that he may shift you as wheat.

But I have prayed for THEE that I faith fell not.

And when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren. And he said,

unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with THEE,

both in the prison and to death. He said, I

tell THEE Peter, the cock shall not crow this day

before that thou shalt thrist deny that thou knowest me.

Satan desires to shake people apart. Satan desires to shake

families apart. Satan desires to shake churches apart, countries, nations, kingdoms.

That's his desire, Brother Jesse Jeremiah, chapter number twenty, verse

number nine.

Then I said I would not make mention of him,

nor speak any more in his name. But his word

was in my heart as a fire shut up in

my bones. And I was weary with forbearing, and I could.

Not stay a man.

The devil was trying to discourage the great prophet Jeremiah.

Was he not.

Let's stand for the reading of our golden texts. Matthew

chapter number twenty four, Verses number twelve and thirteen. And

the Bible says, and because iniquity shall abound, the love

of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure

unto the end, the same shall be saved. But he

that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Would you pray with me, Heavenly Father, We love and

we praise you. We thank you for the opportunity to

be in your house tonight. Lord, I too, like so

many others present and those that are absent tonight, I'm sick.

Pray that you would heal their bodies, heal my body,

give me the strength that I need to deliver what

the Word of God says, not of my words, but

what the Word of God says, what the Spirit of

God says.

Unto the church.

Thank you for the sisters and brothers obey and the

Holy Ghost tonight. Thank you for my brother brothers and

sisters worshiping and praising you. Thank you for putting the

desire to do so in their heart. Annoint this thy servant.

Put a guard at my mouth, and help me to

say the things you would have me to say, nothing

more or less, and not the ears of this thy people,

that they might hear what the Spirit of God says.

And to this church, we'll give you praise and honor

and glory. We thank you for it. In Jesus' name.

In the church said, hey, man, I want to say

my hat's off to all of the preachers that preached

deuring our absence during our vacation. We heard some great

preaching through the live stream and the Spreaker Ministry that

brother Jeremiah had made accessible and put at our fingertips.

And I'm very thankful for that great preaching brethren. Reading

our text again, Matthew, chapter number twenty four, verses number

twelve and thirteen, the Bible says, and because iniquity shall abound,

the love of many shall wax cold. But he that

shall endure unto the end of the same shall be saved.

Our textas found in a New Testament book of the

Holy Bible. The Book of Matthew is the first book

of the New Testament. The former tax collector turned disciple

and apostle of Jesus Christ had much insight concerning the

future because of who he was traveling with after he

left the receipt of custom. A lot of you in

this building tonight are most knowledgeable concerning the will or

the views of God. It's simply because you have the

mind of Christ, or the word of God, or the

will of God in your grip tonight. Thank God that

you are mindful concerning things forthcoming. I'm thankful for the

foretelling that we find in the Word of God. And Matthew,

as a disciple, he would have known things that nobody

else knew. Because of his close company with Christ. It's

very important that we, like the apostle John, maintain close

company and have communion with our Jesus Christ on a

daily basis. And so this man he heard the word

of Prophecy spoken out of the Prince of preachers, Brother Jesse.

Prophecy personified spoke concerning futuristic events.

Jesus told of a.

Time coming when a Roman general would lay siege on

the City of Peace. I mean, who in the world

would feel like a city, a capital city at that

by the name of the City of Peace, the Jerusalem

that David adored and established. Who would have ever thought

that the prophecies of the Messiah concerning the siege and

the downfall of such a city would be possible or

come to pass. Matthew believed in the words of God.

He believed in every word that Jesus Christ spoke, as

well as Peter concerning the Messiah. Jesus asked Peter one time,

he said, who do you say that I am. I

know that the jury is still out concerning my identity.

But when whenever the.

Rubber meets the road, and you must answer a persecutor

or an exterminator somebody that's gonna put your life on

the line. According to how you're answering, how are you

gonna answer that? He said, I'm persuaded. I'm sure. I'm

most confident that thou art Christ, the son of the

Living God, and Jesus committed him with these words, he said,

blessed art thou Simon Barjonas, for flesh and blood has

not revealed this unto you, but him that sent me.

And so Peter, like Matthew, they had received a revelation

of things forthcoming. They see perfect understanding as to the

deity of Christ and the intention of Jesus concerning his kingdom.

Later on we discovered that the name of that famous

general that destroyed this beautiful city of Jerusalem was Titus.

There's people in this building to now that had no

idea that Titus was the Roman general that laid siege

upon this beautiful city and did not leave one stone

in its place. As Jesus spoke of a time of

total chaos and cataclysmic event in this all of it discourse,

the Lord Jesus spoke of people hearing of wars and

rumors of war.

He spoke of the beginning.

Of sorrows, a time of moral decadence and moral decline.

I've never seen a time like this present time. In

half a century, in fifty years, I've seen a lot

of things. I've never seen a time like this when

moral standards are upside down. People's minds are certainly in

the muck, the mare, and the gutter. Truly, this is

a perilous time for the children of our Lord Jesus

Christ to be living upon the face of this earth.

In this chapter, as we read verses number ninety ten,

we can tell that Jesus expected for his disciples or

his followers to be a persecuted people. And he also

expected true blue puvedial of great a believers to possess

an endurance that would be within them that would enable

them to finish the race that they had begun, to fight,

the good fight of faith, and to lay hold on

eternal life through him Jesus Christ. Several verses in this

twenty fourth chapter of Matthew's Gospels speak of the purity

of the church being assaulted. The purity of the Church

is being assaulted in a way that I have never

witnessed at being assaulted. Truly, we are underattack not me

personally only, but we the Church, the bride of Christ,

is under attack. In this chapter, Jesus speaks of the

destruction of the Jews holy city, the city of Jerusalem.

And it seems to me.

Like a lot of Christians have forgot that this happened

to such a wonderful city, Sister Woot.

And they seem to tell us they are.

Rich and increase with all kinds of spiritual goods, and

they have need of no discernment, They have no need

of fear of God, they have no need of keeping

the law of this blessed Bacob. And they they feel

like their churches will be unscathed by the talons of

the devil. They feel like their bodies, which are the

temple of God are supposed to be, that they would

not be subject to the seismic activity generated by the devil.

There's some of you in this building.

You understand that the location of Hell, and the Bible

teaches us that Hell moves beneath our feet. Somewhere in

the belly of the earth or in the center of

the earth. He is that awful place called Hell, and

the Bible speaks of that place opening itself or in

enlarging itself in order to receive more souls of the damned.

And I don't know about you, but that lets me

know there's some cataclysmic things going on in the region

of the damned souls. I'm not using a slang term there.

I spell at D A m N E D.

The souls of the.

Damn and the doomed, and those that are in the

belly of Hell. They have been witnessed to the seismic

and the cataclysmic activity of that awful place, and as

it grows bigger in order to swallow.

More occupanza for eternity.

The spirit of God dealt with me a few knots

ago to tell young and old in this place tonight

and those that may be listening later, that Hell is

and awful place. And the last time I checked, there's

nobody walking around in here.

That is to me, you have already maden.

God has not put wings on your back and the

halrd on your head and allows you to descend down

here to tell us how good it is over there.

People seem to forget that churches can become houses of icabad,

a place full of a vacuum, of an absence of

the spirit of God.

They seem to.

Forget that their minds can become a void of the

presence of God, and that the soul can be taken

from them even before they breathe their last breath to

or lose their mind or their alive. The spirit and

the body and the soul. It belongs to the Lord,

that which is supposed to be a dwelling place for

the most High of God. And the devil wishes to

defile it first then destroy it ultimately.

We all know the verse of Scripture so well. It

goes like this.

The thief, of course, that's the devil. The adversary, of course,

that's the devil. They are going about as a lion

seeking whom they made devour.

Before they devour, they defile.

They steal it, and they kill before they destroy. And

I see a lot of this going on in our

independent and Penecostal churches. People don't seem to understand that

iniquity is abounding. Matthew said it in verse number twelve.

He said, because iniquity shall abound, the love of many

chall waits cold. He did say, the love of a few.

He is saying, the hate of many God haters. That said,

the love of many. These are people that walked with

the Lord, people that wants thrived in the presence of God,

people that wants felt to the power of God, who

warm their soul and illuminate their mind. Those are some

of the many that child wife's cold.

In the end of time, lawlessness.

In the end of time, lawlessness will be increased, and

the result will be coldness of the heart and the spirit.

Their love will dim until it is diminished. Their love

will dim until it is diminished. The Endian preacher Brother

Leon Buzzard used to sing it with such an anointing

in the song with something like this, the flame has flickered,

but the fire has never gone out. But Brother Leon

Buzzard could sing that personally. But if he was to

speak or sing about the testimonies of brothers that have

witnessed throughout the course of us ministry, he could save

the fire once burned, and the flame once left up,

and the flame once left out. But you know it's

gonna beyond flickering, and it has gone out. I'm telling

you there's somebody that will be listening to this. You

feel like you're indefensible, you feel like you're so holy,

you feel like you're so righteous, and you feel like

you're so much above the sin line that there is

no way whatsoever you could ever fall. I'll tell you,

if you don't love him as much as you did

the night you got saved, you're close to falling. I'm

gonna tell you, if you don't love him Nania morning,

your deer last week, you're close to falling. Now.

If you can say my light is.

A little dimmer and my fire is a little smaller

than it was a week ago, you are in the process.

Of sliding back.

Oh come on now, I'm telling you it may be dim,

but it isn't diminishing. I'm talking to Summer. You better

put the all to the fire. You better put the

wood to the fire. You better put the word of

God back where the word of God belongs in your life.

And the love of many shall wax cold? Why because

of iniquity? What is worse than the persecution Jesus told

his disciples about the love of many wax and cold?

What's worse than her mysterious signs in the heavens, the

love of me wax and cold? What is worse than famines? Falks, teachers, wars, rumors,

of wars, diseases, and pestilen says the love of not

a few, but many growing cold. The Bible spoken of

our great falling away. Can I tell you, in my

fifty years of living, I've seen wave have to wave

rolling that took many that were once faithful out of

the House of God. I want to ask her here tonight, Simon,

how sturdy is your faith? Because the seismic forces of

hell that.

Not only move beneath your feet, they will shake you.

I said, they will test you, they will try you,

He will tipt you.

How sturdy he is your faith? How sturdy is your faith? Church?

There is a mass, a mass mutiny against the word

of God. There is a mass mutiny against the word

of God. I have never heard so many false teachers

come together and rally against the teachings of God. At

the end of this age, there is another falling away

taking place. I have never heard so many people make

excuses for their their sins. I've never heard so many

people talk about how they are okay sinning every day

and how God.

Approves of it.

There are reprobate minds on every corner. These minds call

evil good and good evil. They have lost their moral compass.

They have no sense of right and wrong. I saw

about eight hundred pe in that condition. I was not

their judge. I was not there Jesu Jesus, nor was

either jury. But I tell you the fruit on their

tree smoke anything other than than being a child of God.

They went over there to sight and sound and watch

the same play that I watch. It was on the

Life of David. And we no sooner are walking out

of the front door of that venue. And this woman

with a respy voice, she coughed, and Sister Howell growing

up in the home of a smoker. She said, that's

not the flu, that's not the group. That is a

smoker's cough. I said, did you hear what she said?

And she said no. I said that woman was speaking

of those that accompanied her. And she said, well, I

was religious in there for a little while. I guess

we've all been a little religious for about an hour,

hour and a half or two.

She said. But now I'm telling you.

Go get my blankety blanketed car and go get it

right now.

I realize, Sister howled.

As soon as she stepped out of the Vinu where

that wonderful production was done. She was the same center

as she was when she walked in. And I want

you to know, you go in the church does not

make you a Christian anymore than a car.

Come on now, y'all, listener in a garage.

Your car in the garage makes you a mechanic oll

thank card in this house here tonight, I tell her. Somebody,

I don't care how young they are. They could have

been saved one week. They're eligible to backslider where they

could be one breath away from their death, and they're

able to backslider and.

To lose out with cad. Oh kid, don't let me

come down to the end of my life and lose

my soul.

I'm gonna say it again. A new creature, a new

convert is in jeopardy of losing their salvation.

Within a week, within.

An hour of becoming a new creature. I've seen them

praying the altar, and by that time they get to

their religious family, their religious family tell them that's not necessary.

You keeping the word of God and obeying his commandments,

that's unnecessary. And you know what Brother Thomas Sterrett was

sharing with me a couple days ago.

He said, there was this man that was.

Telling the homosexuals and the transgenders, the transvested tites, the lesbians,

all the above, that you can become a new creature

in Christ Jesus, he said. I had been through some

gender change surgeries. He said, but you know, one night

I knelt and I prayed through. I got through the

ruby red blood of Jesus, and I came out a

new creature. There was no desire for that sin. I

was delivered from rebellion and stubbornness. And Brother Jesse, here's

what breaks my heart. After all all them years of

preaching to the homosexual and the transaction and the transgender

and telling them you can be made free in Jesus Christ,

you can be delivered. He hung around enough teachers that

taught him it's okay to sin a little bit every day,

that we all wake up every morning expecting the sin.

Oh no, we don't. Christians do not commit sin habitually.

Christians do not say I'm going to commit this sin

so that I can ask God to forgive me without

the shed blood of Jesus, without his goodness, without his grace,

without his spirit drawing you to an altar repentance, without

taking the plunge without commonly sorrow, without true remorse, without

true repentance, without heartfelt please, and without forgiveness, you will

not be saved, I said, you will remain unconverted and unregenerated.

But he'd been awful that he believed we could send

a little bit. Oh, you know where he's at now.

He's right back.

Here in the mucca and in the mire.

He's right back to that sin that God had delivered

him from. Don't tell me, Jesus lie. When he said

a dog, we go back to his fighting. You're supposed

to be a sheep, not a dog. When he said

the cell, we go back to it's wallering in the mire.

You're not supposed to be an earth clean pig. You're

supposed to be a sheep or the shepherd. So what's

worse than signs in the heavens and signs in the deep.

What's worse than the physical earth shaken and people keeping

track of the seismic activity? What's worse in people saying

there's an increase in the numbers of earthquakes. What's worse

than there being pestilences and them telling us there's some

kind of superflu that I'm preaching through right now has

taken a life of people's five year olds and six

year olds and seven year olds. I'll tell you what's

worse than all of them, pestilences and numerous diseases. The

love of men he growing cold, and it's these false

teachers and these falts preachers. I sit there in that

story of David and I listen to I guess you

could say the caste portraying the life of David. They're

in that s South Theater, and it was definitely amazing.

But I will tell you, within the first five minutes,

I found things that directly contradicted what is written and

recorded in the Word of God. I found there to

be a tendency concerning fairy tales. I could say there

was some make believe in there, as much as there

is concerning Santa Claus. There was some my way, the

way I want to see it, my will, the way

I wanted to play out.

And I want you to know when it comes to.

A direct or directing a play, he can make it

go the way he wants it to go. When a

script writer writes the script for a drama or a play,

they will write it the way they want it to go.

In the way that it will end up. But I

want you to know concerning your life, if you do

not use the authority of God's word, if you do

not hold on to every word that proceeds out of

the mouth of the Father, you will end up ship

print concerning your faith. Even David the Simus said in

the Law, doth I meditate day? And not? The apostle

Paul said less when I have preached to others, I

find myself for her castaway.

What are you thinking?

You can't sit there at the house and have church

in your living room? What about gathering together? What about forsaking?

Not to the assuming of yourself together? How's the manner

of you is? How's the matter of they are? But

ask for me, as for me and my house, we

will serve for the Lord.

It's the love of growing cold.

And they get mad right now and they say, I'm

not growing cold. You don't know what's going on my life.

You don't know what's going on between me and my Jesus.

You shouldn't think so highly of yourself. I'm talking about

Simon's sturdy faith up against the seismic forces of the devil.

Jesus help us here, in this place tonight. There are

reprobate minds on every corner, and many inside of churches,

people that have lost their moral compass. The Bible spoke

of the adulterous and said she would wipe her mouth

and say I have done no wrong. It also said

the adulterous will seek after the precious life. That's what's

going on in this day and hour. And I'm telling

you the independent the Pentecostal churches better be careful. There

is a pastor swap going on right now. Even in

the independent holiness movement. There's a lot of men that

I have confidence in that have slid out of the

poolpit for whatever reason at the beginning of this year.

I can't tell you that the devil didn't tempt me

with doing the same thing on my twenty years of

preaching and a pastoring and being dedicated and devoted to

the work and the will of God down here, I

can't tell you I didn't sit down by the river

yesterday and ask my wife if it was time to

be done with pastoral ministry. I'd be lying if I

told you any different than that. And you know what,

there's a lot of them just tired of fighting. There's

a lot of them exhausted for standing for the truth.

There's a lot of them tired of fighting against false

teachers on the internet making it convenient for people to

mail in their love offerings and making it convenient for

people to eat a cinnamon roll and drink a diet

pepsi while they listen to their teaching and their preaching.

It's a battle.

Every time you drag your hide into the house of God.

I will by somebody saying I'm church hurt. I will

never buy that. I will never attend the pity party

of the clown that pretends that they've been hurt in church.

I'll tell you who's been hurt the most is any

preacher that loves people enough to tell them what the

Bible says and to see people go and do exactly

opposite to what God's word instructed them to do. Isn't

it amazing that a preacher or a pastor that could

have preached the people for fifteen or twenty years see

somebody at the end of their life actors though their

enemy is that preacher. I'll tell you I am not

to run the trouble at Israel.

I've never been the trouble here. I will never be

the trouble here. I know who has been the troubler

from Israel.

And I'm telling everybody, if we want to make it

up better, look at ourself and see.

Where we are with God.

I feel the Holy ghostait in this place. I love

what Sister gil Hammon said on Photo Circle. I read

it late last night. I told sister House that come

and read this with me. I said, I'm so proud

a Sister Gil. I said, look what she said. You're

so called enemies. You talking about them people that prayed

with you when you were at your wits end. You

talking about them, people that prayed for your family when

nobody else would pray for your family. You talk about

them people that put up with you when nobody else

would put up with you. What it is, it's jealousy

in your heart, and it's been there all along. And

what happens is we get older, and when we get older,

we don't have a filter, and when we get older,

we're not able to suppress our emotions and we say

things that we should not say. I remember people telling

me that a very influential preacher in the Holiness movement

got older and the older he got, the worse he

was with his mouth, and they said he has no filter.

And brother Jesse, I believe every preacher that was under

his influencing in his circle made a mental note that

we better kill some devils and do away with some things.

Why we are young while we are young, because you

sew it and you reap it. You make your bed

and you lie in it. You water the tree and

it grows, and the birds of the airbill Nesta. When

it falls, it falls, and it stays lying right there.

I'm telling you you can let hate, envy, jealousy, rest, corteousness,

all of this stuff faster inside all these years, and

you get to the end, and for some reason your

flame is not bleeping.

He's flickering. And before you.

Know it, your love for the Word of God is God,

before you know it. Your love for the people of

God is God. Before you know it, your love for Jesus,

he is gone.

At one point Simon had told Jesus, when asked the

question by Jesus, will you go away? Also Simon said,

Lord to whom shall we go, Thou hast the words

of eternal life, thou hast the words of eternal life.

I'm gonna say it again. They've thrown the Bible out.

They have no more compass, have no sense of right

and wrong. Because the false prophets, who are inwardly revenous wolves,

they are teaching that there are exceptions for sinful behavior.

Many no longer able to feel conviction for wrongdoing or

sins committed. You know why the preacher doesn't want to

perish or feeling conviction, because they don't want to perishon

or making them feel convicted. My granddaughters were with us

on vacation, and because they are so skinny, I remember

being this way myself, and I remember my son Nathaniel

being this way as well. I remember being like they

were so thin, little flesh and little meat on them bones.

And brother Philip, when we got in that seventeen degree

whether that felt like negative too. Little Renee and Little

Rebecca were shaking and trembling. It didn't matter how many

coaches Daddy put on them. It didn't matter how many

jackets Mama put on them, how many blankets me Andi

Balt put around them. They were shaken. And I thought

about the inspiration for this message one night, dealing with

this sickness. I told Brother Nathaniel, Brother Jonathan, I said,

I gotta go to bed. I don't feel good. It's

about midnight. I stepped in there, in that bedroom, and

I took my shoes off. In the minute my socked

clothes foot hit that wood floor, a chill went from

the sole of my feet to the top of my head,

and I went to shaking, all but convulsion because I

had been running fever. And Brother Jesse, I looked just

like somebody shaking into spirit. I looked like Brother Gabel

does when the Holy Ghost is moving on him.

I told the boys.

I said, about thirty minutes later, I'm still into bed

and shaken, and I wondered would I be able to

catch my breath. To be honest with you, I thought

another ten minutes of that it was gonna shake me apart,

and your mama was gonna have to call.

Nine one one. Just let me die and go on

to be with Jesus.

I've been sick many times, but Brother Philip, I was

being shaken, and I'm telling you, there's somebody listening to

this sermon right now. You are being shook, and you

think it's the spirit of God. But you don't realize

it is satan. I watched them granddaughters become numb. I

watched their little feet turn red. I watched their little

hands turn red, and I watched them get past feeling

the love of many shell wax cold because iniquity has abounded,

that jealousy and that envy and that conviteousness. Oh, somebody

mentions that other sister's name and you just can't stand it.

Somebody gives that other preacher some praise and you just

can't stand it. I'm talking about seismic symptoms. Are y'all

talking here? Listening to me? Am I talking to you.

I think a way out of church because I haven't

been recognized. Call lay out of church because I can't

show out them and show off and receive recognition. I'm

telling you your becoming numb the love how many shall

what's cold? It got to the place where my granddaughters

were shaken, just like a god from me.

Later I was shaken.

I want you to ask yourself a questioner, how is

it concerning my faith?

Is it sturdy simon?

Is it sturdy faith to be against the sismic forces

of Satan? I'm asking you a question. Is it because

God spoke to my heart today and he said, there

is a fault liner under every faithful saint. I said,

God said, there is a fault liner under every faithful saint.

He better not forget.

That you can transgress against.

Koda lady in life and lose your soul.

Reprobate brins their numb and their temperatures are dropping. Bethel,

we know the importance of the word of God. We

know the importance of a good fire. The prophet Jeremiah

knew the spiritual numbness will take your very soul. And

Jeremiah twenty and verse number nine is basically a confession

and an admission. I considered giving up ministry. You know

why he considered giving up ministry, not because he was

a whimper a weekling.

He had had his high moments. The Spirit of.

God knew he would be a great preacher before he

was even born. The God that knows all things knew

this man would have something in him nobody else had.

He would have a desire to weep for people. He

would have a desire to say things nobody else would say.

Jesus knew this about Peter. Jesus knew this about Peter

when he called him out of fishing boat. Jesus knew

this about Simon when he called him through his brother Andrew.

Jesus knew. I'm telling you there were good days in

Simon's record book. Just before this text, they had been

at the Passover. They were at a guest chamber, and

Jesus is in the house, and they've taken communion, They've

maded the body. They partok of the fruit of the vine,

and Jesus is commanding everybody. He's telling them about things

that are forthcoming. He tells them about a betrayer in

the midst and Peter is not holding the soop, and

Peter is not to one the sweating bullets. And Peter

is probably feeling good about now. I'd say Brother Jesse's

feeling super spiritual. I'd say he's walking on the tips

of his toes and saying, I praise the Lord for

how I felt during that Passover celebration. He's feeling mighty

good about things. He's feeling mighty good about living in

La Belle. He's feeling mighty good about starting to preach.

He's feeling mighty good about Christ. Hold in grace and

in God, but now are you all listening. But now Jesus,

before the party is over, he knows Judas is gone,

and he tells.

Satan hath desired to have you. And this is where

I want to focus. Satan has desired to have you

that he may sift you.

He cannot sift you if he.

Does not have you. And I'm telling somebody under the

sound of my voice, don't let him have you.

I said, don't allow him to have you.

So Peter watch Judas to betray her. Go do what

he was to do. What you're doing, Do it quickly,

Jesus said, said to such a one, And Peter goes

to walk off. He's feeling good. We've had church. Raise

your hands, brother Jesse, Praise the Lord. I took of

his blood, I took us flesh. He washed my feet,

and I told him, don't just wash my feet, wash

my whole entire body. And Jesus and I have been talking,

and we've been communion, and you're just having a great discourse.

And I'm just telling you it's been church. And then

Jesus squares off with Simon and he says, Simon, Simon,

what I want you ought to remember. At this point,

Jesus is using Simon's old name. Jesus is using Simon's

old name. It wasn't Peter, it wasn't Cephiss, it wasn't

Great Rock or Great Stone. Jesus is saying, Simon, you

know what's in there, Simon, Simon and that rock.

Simon back on his.

Heels, and you know what Jesus said, Satan has desired

to have you. And Simon's feeling so spiritual that he says, oh,

he ain't gonna get me. In fact, Lord, wherever you go, I'm.

Gonna go with you.

In the word of God, Peter said, if it's to

the prison house, or if it's to the graveyard, if

it's being in prison or dying, I'm going with you.

Oh come on, some of you have said the same thing.

I'm gonna go through anything with my Jesus. How even

die martyr if needs me. That's the same thing. Simon said, Hey,

thank your brother just said. But you know what Jesus

meant what he said, and Simon, I know, didn't forget it.

And then what long after that, talking about her love

of many growing cold, Simon's not with the Lord he's

down there away from guests, Simony.

Now he's away from the guest chamber.

Now he's down there in the High priest courtyard, and

he's out there near a little campfire and a little damsel,

and he's getting cold, and he's warming himself, and his

love is growing colder. The closer he gets to the

world's fire, the closer he gets way evil communication to

the corner. He's growing. And then the rooster cruise. I said, Then,

just as Jesus said, the rooster crowse, he denies the Lord.

And now it's reeling and it's rocking. It's reeling and

it's rocking. Echoing in his mind is what I'm telling

somebody here tonight. You better drag your hide back to church.

You better drag your selfish hide back to the altar,

because the devil is not only to go to destroy you,

he's gonna destroy your family. He's down there, he's shaking,

and Jesus said, I prayed for you, Simon. Satan has

desired to have you. I don't know about you. Oh,

but I don't want no abductor to take my grandkids.

I kept my eye on them grandkids, even when we

were in supposedly a Christian theater, watching what was supposedly

a Christian production.

I was watching them grandbabies.

Can you imagine Jesus told Satan go ahead and try,

and somebody said that ain't true. That's what he told Joe.

You want, Joe, go ahead and try. I'm gonna tell you.

When you're the senior pastor and your son's the youth pastor,

and you're standing out there with your own hands, you

and your son and the dead babies, uncle's digging his grave,

that's a shaken. When you're standing out there at the

Oortona Cemetery and you find Duke Camon's widow on the

wrong side of the cemetery, it say shaken. When you're

in the Fifth Avenue store that's just recently open, and

Iris and Gene are finally living their dream and doing

what they want to do together, and you're looking at

Jeane dead and Iris kissing him and the lips repeatedly, Oh, Gene,

I love you, and Gene ain't kissing him back.

And the more she kisses, the colder his lips. Grass.

That's what I'm telling you. The preacher can.

Love you more and more and more Impostle Paul said,

the more I love you, the less I be loved.

There was no way he could love her back because

life was gone. And that's what I'm saying. Not only

was life gone, love was gone. And when they can

look at a preacher that gave blood, sweat and tears,

Apostle Paul said, concerning some, he said, there was a

time to pluck your eyes out and gave them to me.

Brother Nathaniel, how he wept and cried and said, sat

God them.

Had nothing to do with me.

Jesus cut Satan loose on Job, and Job's ship rocked,

and it real, it rocked, and it real. Ten caskets

laid out there. Job's wife's going in saying curse God

died Job. If it wouldn't have been for your intimate

relationship with this man that controls all things, the one

that calls you to prosper, If he hadn't allowed this,

we wouldn't be in this shape to just curse God

you die. I'm asking you a question, why is it

no more? Though he slaved me, yet I will trust him.

Why is it no more?

You pray for those that despitefully use you and abuse you.

Why is it that you would even deem somebody in

the church your enemy, who has bewitched you, who has

come between you and your first love. Jesus said, I

have somewhat against you because you've left your first love.

I've heard Sister wood And say for years, I couldn't

imagine not being able to fill his presence. And I'm

going to tell you that's what Drew David in Closer

was realizing. I ain't feeling his presence. And that's why

David said, take not your presence from me, because he

was the one that set outside Saul's door, playing on

the harp while Saul.

Begged for ten minutes.

I remember in the Church of God, watching them old

Saints of God that refused to leave when the spirit

of God said, come out from among them and be separate.

Do not compromise any longer. Read this word of God,

keep his commandments, be holy, be righteous, do your best

to serve the Lord, and be obedient. I remember some

of them old Saints of God saying, We're gonna stay

with the ship.

And you know what happened.

The ship rocked and it relled, and Sister Cristal, I

remember looking at that old Saint of God that I

had confidence in about two years after she made a

bad decision to stay with the sinking ship. She had

put breeches on and she had cut her hair. I'm

gonna tell you, it don't hurt me as bad as

it hurts you. It hurts me. I've cried over it.

But me watching your fire go out breaks my heart.

But the one that's ultimately going to become numb and

lose out is you. Jeremiah said, I will not make

mention of him, nor speak any more in his name.

But his word was in my heart. But his word

was in my heart as a burning fire shut up

in my bones. And I was weary with forbearing, and

I could not stay Simon, Simon, Satan had desired to

have you. I'll say this, brother Philip, I don't know

what it is to have a quitter's mentality. And since

I've been saved, I've heard Sister how Will say this,

I've heard Sister woot And say this. I've heard Sister

Cheryl say this. Since I've been saved, I have never

been tempted to backslide. A bad day as a Christian

is better than the best day of a sinner.

A bad service.

In an anointed church, family service is better than the

best day in them charismatic churches. I'm not trying to

scare you tonight, but I'm telling you the devil wants

to have you. He wants to have Jeremy Howell, he

wants to have Hannah Edwards. He wanted you the very

second after you became born again, and he's gonna want

you the very second before you take your last breath.

I remember the story. It goes something like this. This

man had stood strong against conflict and controversy for years,

and then the day came that his true colors would

be manifested, and some people came in and drug him

and his family out of their primitive looking church, and

while at gunpoint, he was told to deny Jesus. He

denied Jesus. After they had said, if you deny Jesus,

we will spare your life. He denied Jesus. He cursed God,

he used foul language, and then the cold hearted executioner

pulled the trigger and sent him straight to Hell. I

don't understand wanting to give up. I understand being sifted.

When Jesus prayed in the Garden of cassemine to feel

like as them. Sweats became his great jobs of blood.

He started praying, God, help Peter. You know how rambunctious

he can be. You know how energetic he can be.

You know how outspoken he can be. Help Peter.

You know he's got a good heart.

Help Peter. And Jesus began to pray. I pray that

his faith fell not. But let's fast forward some two

thousand years. There'd be somebody sitting at eleven fifty three Corneli,

your driver tuned in right now, listening. And Jesus said,

Father Satan desires to have them, that he might sift

them as week. I've been involved in engineering and design

and drafting for a long time. I remember us looking

at some members that had been sized and literally size

and connection material to make the connection between two intersection

intersecting members. And I remember the owner of this large

structure hiring an independent specialty engineer, and brother Nathaniel that

specialty engineer. He said, where is this structure being erected?

Somebody said out west? He said, is there not a

fault line within so many miles of this structure? And

everybody threw their hands up and said yes. He said,

none of you took that into consideration, and we all

said no. I was one of the ones that had

to run the specialty connections to determine how thick the

connected members would be, plates, angles, channels, bolts, the sizes

of the bolts, etc. The thickness of the plate. I

had to go into that software and we had to

consider size, but activity. It took some of them one

inch thick gusset plates and increased them to about two

and a half inches because there needed to be a

consideration for a cataclysmic earth shaken instance. And I'm gonna

tell you, laying at the house, it isn't gonna prepare

you from an earth shaken, life shattering experience. Simon's sturdy faith.

Simon stood and it was Simon, Peter, if I'm not

mistaken it, so be strong, be vigilant for your adversary,

the devil. And there's some of you you don't even

realize how thin the ice is you're walking on. Let's

stand tonight. Satan desired to have job, Satan desired to

have Peter. But I want to remind you, Jesus said,

I will never leave you. Orphus said that to Ruth

I'll never leave Naomi. But then there came a time

she left Naomi and Ruth, and I feel it in

my soul. There's about seventy five people in this building.

The spirit of orpis upon you, three or four people

in this building. I say to you, it will be

no reflection upon Pastor Howell or his ministry. It will

be no ill testimony or bad spoken word to the

Bethel hole in his church, or the likes of Sister

Charity Howl or Sister Irish Woot and her sister gil

Hammond or anybody else.

Will you go away?

Also from the garden of Yosemite to the courtyard of

the High Priest, the sifting began since the how it

can begin between Tonight's servants and Sundays. Peter took some

wrong steps that were not ordered by the Lord, and

those wrong steps led to the sifting and the shaken.

And because of his sturdy faith and because of the

prayers of the Lord, he didn't suffer spiritual ruin. And

that's my mental outline. Your steps need to be ordered

by the Lord. Your steps would lead you to your

sifting and the shifting. Impossibly if you don't get us

thirty faith tonight. This will be the beginning of your

spiritual ruin. I remember that woman. She had hair that

extended all the way to her ankles. David's song that

he wrote after he received the news that Saw didn't

survive the shaken was this how or the mighty falling?

They were swifter than eagles yard listening. I don't care

how many times you've ran around the church, how many

services you attended. I'm reminded of the deacon of the church,

basically a co founder. I reminded one of the main

elders of a church because of just little things that

used to wouldn't bother him, him allowing it to bother him.

He got old. On a Sunday morning, we were all

in church. I was at the front pew, and a

stranger walked in that had never walked in that church before.

And he came to the pastor and he whispered into

pastor's ear, and the pastor got a wild eyed expression,

just wild eyed on his face. And he came over

to me right in the middle of service, and he whispered,

and he said, that man is dead. He laid at

the house, acting like no church was good enough because

of his little feelings, and he died on his living

room couch. And the report was he just choking for

someone no reason, say, not desired to shake you. I

said it a couple of days ago. The Holy Girst

spoke to me that Satan wants to shake some people apart. Well, oh,

one of the Kentucky singers says, Satan, take your hands

off my church. Satan, take your filthy, nasty hands off

my soul. I want to make it clear you've got.

No power here.

Satan, take your hands off my church. Let's bow our

heads right now, if we could please. There's some people

in this building tonight. I've preached through sickness, and some

of you have said amen, through sickness, and I want

to tell you, in eighteen months you won't be the

same spiritually. Brother Bill Houston tells the story of a

man that was a preacher, a Pentecostal preacher that allowed

his love to grow cold, and he started putting his

affection on other things and what he used to have

affection towards. And then one Wednesday night, instead of going

to church, he went and played golf. And then he

come back to church on a Sunday after a few services,

they noticed he was dressing differently in his golf clothes.

This man was a holiness preacher, a Pentecostal preacher, and

brother used to say, over the course of the time,

not very long at all, an evil spirit, just like

the one that entered saw entered him that man. And

he said, after a while, somebody said you got to

go to the hospital and pray for him. And he said,

whenever I went to the hospital to pray for him,

he was and there groaning and grunting like a wild bull, bellowing, bellowing.

And Brother Bill Houston said, I walked in there and

I prayed, and I asked God to deliver him, and

spent hours in there. I saw Brother Euston weeping as

he told this story. He said, I was praying from

my buddy God deliver him and set him free. And

he said, after a couple of hours of praying, he said,

in a still small voice, I heard God say no.

And he said, I walked out, and he said, that

man bellowed himself all the way to hell. Why has

your love grown cold? These altars are open right now.

He used to be excited about praying seeking the Lord,

but in these perilous times, as iniquity abounds, as sin

is on every corner. Grace is supposed to so much

more abound than it does for some, but for others

the shaken is unsurvivable. I prayed for you, Simon, and

I want to tell a handful of you.

I prayed for you.

In recent days. But it's on you. There's a shaking

going on in the movement. There's a shaking going on

in families. There's a shaking going on in churches. There's

a shaking going on. It has nothing to do with brother,

how we'll rebuken sin. It has nothing to do with

an elder saying, let's fire the circus and the clowns.

It has nothing to do with people standing against foolishness.

It has everything to do with Demus loving the present world.

And I must ask for an altar at this time,

as there's somebody right now that would like to pray.

The spirit of God has been present. Simon's sturdy faith

versus satan seismic forces. Here's one. When the son of

Man comes, shall he find faith on earth? In another

scripture it said, who then can.

Be saved with God? It is possible if your flames flick.

You need to ask the Lord tonight to not allow

it to go out. Peter went from the garden to Gyosemine,

to the courtyard of the High Priest. Somewhere he took

some wrong steps. Those wrong steps led him to the

Sifton and what could have been his spiritual ruin.
