  1. Amen, Brother Nathaniel, Would you turn with us to the

  2. book of Amos. Man, direct your attention to chapter number

  3. eight and verse number eleven, My brother, and brother Jesse's

  4. Second Kings chapter number seven and verses number seventeen through twenty.

  5. And beloved, could I direct your attention to Second Kings

  6. chapter number seven and verse number two. If the Lord

  7. has been good to you this week thus far, would

  8. just say amen. If you're expecting him to continue to

  9. be good to you this week, would just say praise

  10. the Lord. Amen, Brother Nathaniel, Amos chapter number eight and

  11. verse number eleven.

  12. My brother, behold the days come.

  13. Saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine

  14. in the land, not a famine of bread nor thirst

  15. for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord. Now,

  16. Brother Nathaniel, did I just hear you correctly? As you

  17. read the word of God, and the God of the universe,

  18. the creator of the cosmos, would send upon this land

  19. a spiritual famine, one where people wouldn't be able to

  20. hear the word of God, which is the bread of life.

  21. That the originator of such a famine, the creator of

  22. the world, would create a situation that would bring forth

  23. a famine for people here in the word of God.

  24. How are they gonna hear without a preacher? And how

  25. are they going to preach unless they be sent by

  26. God to preach? What thus saith God, Brother Jesse, Second Kings,

  27. Chapter number seven, Verses number seventeen through twenty.

  28. And the King appointed the lord on whose hand he leaned,

  29. to have the charge of the gate. And the people

  30. trude upon him in the gate, and he died, as

  31. the Man of God had said, who spake when the

  32. king came down to him, and it came to pass,

  33. says the Man of God had spoken to the king, saying,

  34. two measures of marley for a shekel, and a measure

  35. of fine flower for a shekel, shall be tomorrow about

  36. this time in the Gate of Samaria. And that Lord

  37. answered the Man of God and said, now, behold, if

  38. the Lord should make windows in heaven, might such a

  39. thing be? And he said, behold, thou shalt see it

  40. with thine eyes, but thou shalt not eat thereof. And

  41. so it fell out unto him, for the people trode

  42. upon him in the.

  43. Gate, and he died, And he died.

  44. I want to preach a message the Holy Ghost titled

  45. it would be a shame to starve to death. It

  46. would be a shame to starve. Let's stand for the

  47. reading of our golden text. Please Second Kings, chapter number seven,

  48. reading verses number one through four. The Bible says that

  49. Elisha said, hear ye the word of the Lord. Thus

  50. saith the Lord tomorrow about this time, shall a measure

  51. of fine flower be sold for a shekel, and two

  52. measures of barley for a shekel in the Gate of Samaria.

  53. Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned, answered

  54. the Man of God. So the King of Israel, Jehoram,

  55. had a pal, a friend, a confidant, a pal. Then

  56. a lord on whose hand the king leaned, answered the

  57. Man of God. You gotta be careful listening to what

  58. your pals say. King Jehoram's pal, brother Caleb, he said, behold,

  59. if the Lord would make windows in heaven, might this

  60. thing be? And he said, behold, this is the prophet speaking.

  61. The prophet responding, and he said, behold, thou shalt see

  62. it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not eat thereof.

  63. And there were four Letro's men at the entering end

  64. of the gate. And they said, one to another, wise,

  65. sit ye here until we die. If we say we

  66. will enter into the city, then the famine is in

  67. the city and we shall die there. And if we

  68. sit still here we die also. Now therefore, come and

  69. let us fall into the host of the Syrians. If

  70. they save us alive, we shall live, and if they

  71. kill us, we shall but die. I want to preach

  72. a message the Holy Ghost title. It would be a

  73. shame to starve to death. Let's pray, Heavenly Father, we

  74. love and we praise you. We thank you for the

  75. opportunity to be in the house of the Lord tonight.

  76. I pray that you would bless this thy people, these

  77. precious people. Let them hear what the Spirit of God

  78. says unto the church tonight through the preach word and

  79. of your words.

  80. We pray.

  81. And this thy service of a guard in my mouth,

  82. and help me to say the things you would have

  83. me to say, nothing more or less. I pray God

  84. that the Spirit of God would be in this place.

  85. Let these sayings go below the shoulders. Let them saturate

  86. the soul and the spirit.

  87. I pray. We're looking to you to help us here tonight.

  88. God, as that servant's eyes upon the hand of its master.

  89. Even so we look for a handful of purpose. From

  90. thee to night.

  91. We give you the praise and the honor and the

  92. glory in Jesus's name. In the church said Amen, as

  93. you're being seated, look at your neighbor and say, hey, neighbor.

  94. Don't sit still. Amen.

  95. Our text is found in an Old Testament book of

  96. the Holy Bible. In the first verse of the seventh

  97. chapter of the Book of Sacred Kings, we see a

  98. very familiar name, the name of the prophet Elisha, the

  99. successor to the mighty Prophet of God Elijah. I know

  100. that the names Elijah and Elisha are not strange names

  101. to the.

  102. People of the Holy Book.

  103. People that take the Divine Library into their hands and

  104. read of it, they know all too well about these

  105. great prophets. Truly, they were remarkable and notable men of God.

  106. The Bible readers and students among us tonight could tell

  107. us so much about this particular man of God. I

  108. thank God for that day that this man of God

  109. put his hand upon the mantle of the great Man

  110. of God Elisha, and smote the river Jordan, and asked

  111. the question, where is the God of Elijah, And there

  112. are people in this building.

  113. You have been given so much.

  114. You have grandparents and preachers and teachers in your life

  115. and in your past that have been spiritually significant as

  116. spiritual mentors to you. And when you think of a

  117. person or a prophet, or a seer or an old

  118. miracle of God, you think of that significant person in

  119. the present or in the past.

  120. I think the.

  121. Lord that these children in this building tonight can be

  122. assured that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

  123. And God said he was the God of Abraham, Isaac

  124. and Jacob. For a reason, he let everybody know he

  125. would not only be the God of Abraham, he would

  126. choose to be the God of the future generations. And

  127. I look around in this place tonight and I see

  128. people that have come from different areas, different geographic locations,

  129. for whatever reason. And as the pastor here, I have

  130. heard some of the reasons for why you showed up

  131. on our doorsteps, slid in our pews, and decided to

  132. hear the word of God here at the Bethel Holiness Church,

  133. as preached and taught by the various ministers here. And

  134. so I believe that we have people in this building

  135. tonight that are hungry for the truth. I believe you

  136. are hoping that your hungry soul will be fed. And

  137. there's people testifying on a weekly basis saying, we are

  138. like the well fed calves of the stall. We have

  139. been blessed in order to feast here had to Bethel

  140. Holiness Church. Can I tell you that God could send

  141. a famine here. As long as you have a heart

  142. to seek the Lord while he may be found, and

  143. as long as you have a spirit of humility and

  144. not one of haughtiness, God will continue to open the windows.

  145. Of heaven and pour out of blessing.

  146. And God will continue to bless the generations upon generations.

  147. And so Elisha knew what it was to see his predecessor,

  148. Elijah have a personal, intimate, real relationship with the Lord.

  149. And so this man Elisha, though in his day and hour,

  150. he matters to somebody. And I want to tell grandparents

  151. and parents here tonight, you matter to somebody. Your little

  152. children and your nieces and nephews. They're looking to you

  153. to lead and to guide them. It is true that

  154. they have the word of God, and it is true

  155. that God has put special men like them Elisha and

  156. Elijah in the path of some of us and other

  157. people of God throughout the years. But Sister Howell, I

  158. think of the generations that were blessed with great men

  159. and women of God. But what about the upcoming generation?

  160. What about your children? Will you see to it.

  161. That they have a source of life and.

  162. A source of substance and sustenance in the days of head.

  163. Because it is true that we are living in times

  164. like that is described by the prophet Amos. We're not

  165. only living in the perilous times that's described by the

  166. great Apostle Paul, but we are living in a time

  167. of spiritual famine. There are churches on Airprick Corner, a

  168. lot of Christian radio stations are broadcasting the Word of truth.

  169. But I've never seen a more hungry people in my life,

  170. spiritually speaking, than those people of this generation. They attempt

  171. to feel this God's size void in their heart with any.

  172. And everything besides the Word of God.

  173. I remember the men of Martin Luther's generation, how they

  174. admired him because he went against the grain of the

  175. teachings of Catholicism. I remember reading about him and his biography,

  176. how that he took that statement and knelted upon one

  177. of the big cathedral's door and he let people know

  178. that they did not have to repent at their sin

  179. to a priest or a pope, but that they simply

  180. needed to dip themselves in the ruby red blood of

  181. Jesus and that they could find salvation through grace and faith.

  182. And because of Martin Luther refusing to die of hunger,

  183. and he was he was going through a spiritual crisis,

  184. and he realized although he was religious, he was missing something.

  185. And he realized that church, that Catholic church, that was

  186. preventing the parishioners from having their own copies of the Bible,

  187. was allowing those people to live on meager portions of

  188. what the saith God. And so their poor sister Wood

  189. and I see Martin Luther as somebody that liberated a

  190. lot of people from spiritual captivity. And then I think

  191. of the men like Charles John and Charles Wesley, how

  192. they were natural and spiritual brethren who were raised by

  193. God fearing parents. And these were men who together would

  194. preach in the open air if they were not welcomed

  195. to minister inside of the Orthodox churches. And what they had,

  196. they were willing to preach inside of a church and

  197. outside of a church. In fact, John Wesley one time said,

  198. after some spiritual doors of some physical churches were closed

  199. upon him, he said, with holy boldness, that the world

  200. is open before me, and the world is my parish.

  201. What about the prosperous William and Catherine Booth who would

  202. look around and see that they needed to do more

  203. than making a mark on this world, but rather they

  204. chose to minister to the least and the lost and

  205. the lonely. The founders of that holiness movement and the

  206. organization called what the Salvation Army great generals, just like Elisha.

  207. Was in his day.

  208. I remember reading some time back they said that the

  209. followers are those who loved. Catherine Booth falked over there

  210. to London, and during her wake some two hundred thousand

  211. people were counted as those who really and truly wanted

  212. to pay their last respects to somebody they considered to

  213. be their spiritual mother.

  214. The undertaker said that when they went to.

  215. Turn her body over before her burial, he said that

  216. her garment was saturated with the tears of those that

  217. were able to get to her casket and acknowledge the

  218. loss of the spiritual mother. And the same thing was

  219. said about Elijah and Elisa when they died, kings and

  220. queens and royalty, they cried out and said, my father,

  221. my father, the charits of Israel, and the horsemen thereof

  222. You see, this man Elisha had been a spiritual father

  223. to many people, and this book of Second Kings tells

  224. us how much he meant to the people of his nation.

  225. I'm gonna try to preach through this sickness here tonight

  226. because I feel like God gave me a handful of

  227. purpose of some sort of grain or primender for somebody that's.

  228. Hungry here tonight.

  229. I'm not talking about a natural hunger, and I'm talking

  230. about a spiritual hunger. And you know, concerning this man Elisha,

  231. people would have respected him. They would have respected him

  232. because of the mantle that he held and the call

  233. on his life as administered by Elijah. But they also

  234. respected him because of the testimonies of others, the miracles

  235. that God had performed through the hands and the mouth

  236. of this man. He would have been one of the

  237. most disgusted me in Israel, not one of the most

  238. disgusting me in the of the United States.

  239. Like we see so prevalent today.

  240. But one of the most disgusted men of Israel.

  241. You see, Sister.

  242. Road Cap, wouldn't be one to suggest a compromise. And

  243. I know that she's that way because of who her

  244. pastor before me was, Brother William Strickler, was not one

  245. to ben or the budge herd of bows.

  246. Thank you, Brother Nathaniel.

  247. First time I've had problems with my voice in probably

  248. fifteen years, So I know the devil is attacking me

  249. tonight because somebody, somebody this building, you need to admit

  250. and acknowledge.

  251. That you are perishing for hunger.

  252. Since the road Cap, this man Elisha would not have compromised,

  253. I'm telling you, because he was the successor of a

  254. prophet of fire, and that prophet of fire would not

  255. have made a sissy preacher out of this man of God.

  256. He become an oracle of the most high. He was

  257. never found shirking his responsibilities, nor would have ever been

  258. one that was hiding from the crowd or shirking tell

  259. her somebody what the saith God. With that being said,

  260. with all of these heroes of mine, I've named so

  261. many in the last ten minutes, and they're standing amongst

  262. us the great cloud of witnesses. Let me tell you

  263. what the Lord gave to me for some of you

  264. listening to me as I preached this message. If you

  265. look at our golden text again in Second Kings, chapter

  266. number seven and Burst number two, the Bible said, then

  267. a lord on whose hand the king leaned, He answered

  268. the Man of God and said, behold it.

  269. The Lord would make windows in heaven. Might this thing be?

  270. And he said, behold, thou shalt see it and with

  271. thine eyes, but thou shalt.

  272. Not eat thereof and Burst number one, it was the

  273. recognizable voice and the recognizable person of Elisha, the credible

  274. words and witness of the Man of God that were

  275. speaking these words a promise, which were words of prosperity

  276. and words of plenty.

  277. And I want you to know there's seven million people

  278. in the world, and the word of God.

  279. The breath, the bread of life, has been put on

  280. shelves in a lot of stores. It's awaiting somebody to handle,

  281. it's awaiting somebody to pick it up, and somebody ingested.

  282. But instead, to their shame, they choose to starve to

  283. death and to die spiritually.

  284. And then finally naturally. Let me say that this man.

  285. Elisha surely had to be disappointed when Jehoram allowed his

  286. pal to speak up. And this probably is the reason

  287. why the kingdom is in the shape that it is in.

  288. This is probably the reason why a lot of church

  289. people are in of shape that they are in is

  290. because somebody's heady and haughty and high minded. When it

  291. comes to this preaching of the Word of God and

  292. a true blue puvanilla grade, a minister of the Gospel

  293. preaching the truth. There's always somebody next to that person,

  294. let's call them the King's pal, that will say I

  295. don't believe it.

  296. I'm not so.

  297. Sure that's necessary. I'm not so sure that that is

  298. a requirement. I'm not so sure. I'm a little bit uncertain.

  299. Oh the ugliness of unbelief right here in the courtroom.

  300. Of the king.

  301. Jaho Ram Listen, it wasn't just an ordinary preacher that

  302. came that day with a message. It wasn't a pipsqueak

  303. minister preaching a three point sermon that is super dull.

  304. It's not somebody coming with three points, a poem.

  305. And a song.

  306. It is a man of God coming into the place

  307. to tell the King, here is a rope of hope

  308. for this nation that is in trouble. And the King's

  309. pal he speaks up and interrupts the credible witness of

  310. the man of God and says, sarcastically, if windows in

  311. heaven were to be opened, could this thing be possible?

  312. But I want you to know the Bible said.

  313. That God is not mocked whatsoever mad, so that shall

  314. he also reap them. Also, God said, after He's given

  315. it to all efforts, all honest efforts, and he reaches

  316. whenever people come up to knows and him and they

  317. mock him, he said, when their calamity.

  318. Comes, he will laugh at it.

  319. And so the great incredible witnessing other notable Elisha, he said,

  320. with just a smart likeness as Elijah with him mocked

  321. the prophets of Jencel Bell. He said, big boy, you

  322. just heard about it. Let you see it, but you

  323. will not partake of it. And I kind of feel

  324. like mister King's pal. His knees buckle. And at this

  325. point it's kind of like Judas hearing the word of Jesus.

  326. You just go ahead and do whatever you want to do,

  327. big boy, because you've already made your plans with Cayphas

  328. and his cronies. Come on, now, Jesus was not one

  329. for politics. We don't find him whining and dining with pilots.

  330. We don't find him in a fishing boat with Caiphas

  331. or on the golf course with Anus. We find Jesus

  332. telling people words of truth. And I'm telling you, when

  333. God allows his man that is of credible report, incredible

  334. witness who's got signs following, and God tells that man

  335. to tell you there is a blessing coming, can I

  336. tell you that's whatever a preacher of the Gospel has

  337. been doing since Jesus gave his life, is putting their

  338. life on the line to tell others that you don't

  339. have to die for your sin. I want you to

  340. know the great preacher Charles spurs and spoke along them lines.

  341. And as I read what he wrote years ago, the

  342. Holy Guess spoken to my heart and he said this.

  343. He said, I died.

  344. For their sin, but if they will not receive me,

  345. I will let them die for their sin. And I

  346. want to ask you the question here tonight. Will you

  347. let Jesus die for your sin? Will you accept the atomac?

  348. Will you dipple in the ruby red body. Oh Jesus,

  349. because the truth is, you've seen it, but you better

  350. partake of it. I said, you've seen it, but you

  351. better partake of it. You think about these guys, they're

  352. dealing with the spirit of haughtiness. We've heard the world's statement.

  353. The bigger they are, the harder they fall. We're never

  354. too tall to fall. King Saul could tell you about that.

  355. I feel the Holy ghosta in this place, even preaching

  356. over sickness.

  357. I'm just like you.

  358. I'm sick in body and the last thing I feel

  359. like doing is pushing this hard.

  360. But I've got a burden on my heart.

  361. And I'm telling you this man that came in there,

  362. he didn't need any explanation of his words. There was

  363. no diviner or seer or prophetess or prophetess that would

  364. come in on his wake and try to explain what

  365. the man of God has said. I learned a long

  366. time ago that God speaks in short, simple sentences, and

  367. a lot of people want to play by playbook on

  368. why they need to do what He would have.

  369. Him to do.

  370. But more Elisha just motors in there, any motives right

  371. back out, and I'm telling you, there's probably somebody trying

  372. to go behind and.

  373. Say, well, King, this is what he means.

  374. Let me say this to the King's pal that's more

  375. than likely in a place he wishes he was not there.

  376. Let me say this to the person or the person's.

  377. Tonight who is starving to death and simply refusing to

  378. eat at the King's buffet. I'm telling you, prosperity and

  379. blessing is in your horizon and it's on your future.

  380. But I just want to shake this and get this

  381. off of me and go on the King's pal. He

  382. did not need an explanation of this spiritual truth or revelation.

  383. Elyceus track record is without blemish. The miracle is about

  384. to happen, whether he particularly personally believes it or not.

  385. And that's what I want to tell Bethel. The miracle

  386. is about to happen. That's what God told me in

  387. the bedroom last night as I was trying to sleep

  388. and bridle sickness. God said, the miracle is about to happen.

  389. Some will stand on the threshold as the windows are open,

  390. and they will see it pour out, but they will

  391. not get.

  392. To partake of it.

  393. Oh God, I remember coming to a place where I said,

  394. I need.

  395. More than knowing about it.

  396. I need more than a testimony have I seen that

  397. I need to be that, I need to be that

  398. child of God. Now, y'all keep in mind, God gave

  399. me this last night, and I'm preaching this in a

  400. shirt that I'm gonna give to brother Philip come Sunday.

  401. It's the first time I wore it. And when I

  402. get fired up and start preaching, it's creeping up.

  403. Hey man.

  404. Literally, Elisha is saying, the blessings of God is just

  405. outside of that gate.

  406. And that's what I saw.

  407. The blessings of God is just on the other side

  408. of that gate. Some of you are getting it and

  409. some of you aren't. The Apostle Paul put it this

  410. way in First Corinth Tens, chapter number two and verse

  411. number one fourteen, one of my favorite verses. He said,

  412. but the natural man receiveth not the things of the

  413. Spirit of God for their foolishness unto him. Neither can

  414. he know them, because they are spiritually deserned. I remember

  415. a time in my wife's life when she would look

  416. at me as I was witnessing to her and telling

  417. her about what the Bible said. She could acknowledge Jeremy's

  418. got this great joy. She could acknowledge Jeremy has found

  419. this great peace, she could acknowledge that the hand of

  420. God was upon my life. But she said, I just

  421. don't see it. I just don't understand it. This is

  422. why we have to become a new creature in Christ Jesus.

  423. Old things have to pass away, and behold, all things

  424. will becoming new. Is that what the Bible said? If

  425. that's a powerful word, is it not? If any man

  426. be in Christ, he is, it's not. He might be,

  427. He might be tomorrow, he might be next year, he

  428. might be developmentally over a period of time. I don't

  429. believe in progressive salvation. You can believe in progressive sactification

  430. if you want to, but I don't believe in progressive salvation.

  431. The night I got saved, I knew God has saved

  432. me from my sin.

  433. Now he didn't leave me in my sin.

  434. So I was of praying about that, and I said, Lord,

  435. you know, sometimes we look at that as though it's

  436. just a sheep becoming a better sheep. And God spoke

  437. to me and he said, no, that's not what I'm

  438. talking about. I'm talking about a new creation. And I said,

  439. say on, holy Ghos. He said, it's kind of like

  440. a Siberian tiger becoming a limb. I said, I get

  441. it now. New attitude es, new mindsets, new grazing. You

  442. go from meat mushing, or come on, the grazing and

  443. green pastures. You go from chewing up everything in anger

  444. and being mad and crunching bones and throwing tempered tantrums.

  445. You go from being a roaring, lying like your father

  446. of the Devil to be in a meek lamb like Jesus,

  447. taking a smile on one cheek and taking another on

  448. the other cheek.

  449. Come on, I'm preaching to you.

  450. I say, when Jesus gets a hold of you, he'll

  451. take the Bengal tiger or the Siberian tiger out of

  452. you and make a sweet.

  453. Little fluffy lamb out of you. Amen.

  454. Well, I don't want to be a sweet, fluffy little

  455. laugh exactly, Amen, exactly, but I want to be a

  456. shape by blah blah blah. I feel like preaching to

  457. you here tonight, through this sickness. I wish the devil

  458. wouldn't fight my voice. You all know I never battle

  459. with my voice.

  460. Like this.

  461. I guess it ain't too bad. Really, it's not squeaking

  462. like a little boy's amen. But you know, people's visions

  463. are cloudy, and Brother Jesse, it's a toxic attitude concerning food.

  464. They feast on the wrong things. They feel like certain

  465. things are gonna kill them, that will help them. They

  466. feel like certain things are gonna help them that will

  467. kill them. It sounds exactly like Apostle Paul's words. They

  468. call good evil and they call evil good. They have

  469. no moral compass, They have no sense of right and wrong.

  470. Can I tell you to be in that situation? It's

  471. to be on the borderline of reprobation. A reprobate mind

  472. is somebody that has no moral compass, somebody has no

  473. spiritual compass, that has.

  474. No sense a sense of right and wrong.

  475. I have never seen a generation, sister Jenny, that has

  476. rallied together more preachers to tell us that's okay for

  477. a Christian to commit habitual sin than this generation. In fact,

  478. whenever their megachurch pastors get done preaching, everybody walks out

  479. and they have a plan to get drunk tomorrow, and

  480. they have a plan to commit fornication the next day

  481. and they have a plan to commit adultry the next day.

  482. I mean, they might as well rob a bank, because

  483. there's nobody gonna condemn whatever it is they choose to do.

  484. But a Christian has no desire to do that. A

  485. pig life slop, not a sheepe.

  486. Do you want to say, oh, kabah, the king's pals

  487. destroying the kingdom. There's people that are destroying our lives

  488. and our families, and they will destroy our kids. And

  489. that's when Sister how and I decided we may have

  490. been popular in that high school of six hundred. Her

  491. and I ran for homecoming king and Queen. Our best

  492. friends got it.

  493. We didn't get it.

  494. Our best friends got prime king and prime Queen. They

  495. say we were near runner up of about six hundred

  496. kids getting the popular vote.

  497. Sister Grace, that's what it means.

  498. We were wildly popular in a big public high school.

  499. But you know, since we serving Jesus, since we started

  500. serving Jesus, we may not be so wildly popular. But

  501. I lost my love for being popular, and I lost

  502. my love of politics and being everybody's friend. And I

  503. learned to tell people the truth. Now, when that ugly

  504. fat girl comes up and ask me and my beautiful

  505. I no longer sit there with a cold, great grin

  506. and say you're so beautiful, miss Piggy sister how leehn

  507. Lloyd you know him. I'm about one of your best friends.

  508. She didn't run for homecoming queen or a prime queen,

  509. I'll tell you that.

  510. But she carries us to Charity's dress. Amen.

  511. She asked me one time, she said, Jeremy, am I beautiful?

  512. And I said you ain't.

  513. Beautiful, You're gorgeous. Back then, I just want to say,

  514. whatever make everybody feel better. I'm preaching against my nature

  515. right now. I'd like to look at little pigs that's

  516. been slopping at the bar down there and say, look

  517. at you, you little angel. I'd like to be a

  518. charismatic church pastor and be loved by everybody. But that's

  519. what happened here. Y'all think about Elijah's emotions and feelings.

  520. When he walked out of the King's Palace and mister

  521. smart alect the King's pal he said, we have God

  522. opened the windows of heaven. Would God turn this famine around?

  523. What I want you all to know is there were

  524. two women that were bowling their babies in order to

  525. satisfy their hunger. Two women were bowling their babies and

  526. one of them decided, I'm not gonna do it, and

  527. she entered a pack where the other mother said, I.

  528. Tell you what we'll do.

  529. We'll eat mine tonight and we'll eat yours tomorrow night.

  530. But when it came time to eat hers, nobody knew

  531. where her little baby was.

  532. She didn't want to hold up her on her end

  533. of the bargain.

  534. But I suspect that man, the king's pal, who the

  535. king liked to lean on his shoulder. I suspect he

  536. was there when the king was riding out the city

  537. gate that day, and then when he took a ride

  538. up on the wall and them two women start hollering

  539. at the king and saying, king was starving to death.

  540. Why don't you do something about it? And he said,

  541. what is this disputation among you too? And one of

  542. them said, he she told me we would eat its baby.

  543. She told me we would eat her baby. And you

  544. know what, at least Jehoram said, who am I to

  545. help you with this? I'm not God. After people bawling

  546. their kids to survive, After mothers of Israel praying and

  547. crying and asking God to turn the famine abrown. The

  548. Man of God comes into the King's palace and offers

  549. a promise of hope, and mister smart Elec sounds like

  550. a lot of girlfriends with her boyfriends. I see what

  551. God's dealing with you about. You really think it could

  552. be that good for us?

  553. I believe it.

  554. I remember that night October nineteen ninety two. God got

  555. to dealing with me. I was a backslider sitting in

  556. the back of the church. Spirit of God was moving.

  557. There was an evangelist that had never preached there before.

  558. I don't think you ever preached after that there. God

  559. got to dealing with me that night. I was miserable inside.

  560. There was a God sized void inside of me. And

  561. I remember my fiance sitting beside me. She's scratching my

  562. back right in the middle of a good, annoyed sermon.

  563. I'm a listening a man of this world. She's a

  564. woman of this world. And God dealt with me. The

  565. only way you're ever going to have true joy, and

  566. true happiness and true peace is if you surrender to me.

  567. And I remember I got up out of.

  568. My pew and I made the walk it.

  569. I remember ten thousand devils are more screaming, said, she'll

  570. never stay with you if you serve God. Ten thousand

  571. demons are more said, if you go to the altar,

  572. she's going out the back door. And I got up.

  573. I remember her fingertips, come here, brother Jesse, her fingertips

  574. going like that, And I remember, are y'all listening tonight?

  575. Do I have a pray in church? There's some things

  576. that will never.

  577. Be satisfied without Jesus. Only Jesus can satisfy your soul.

  578. And jeho Ram. I wonder if he said to his

  579. little buddy. I wonder if he said, you know who

  580. that was you just talked to like that? Do you

  581. know the dead has been raised under his ministry? Do

  582. you know that the man he followed, whose mantle he's wearing.

  583. When that man prayed, fire fell out of heaven and

  584. consumed groups of fifty Do you know who that was

  585. preaching to you? I imagine the king said, do you know

  586. who that was? There was a reason I.

  587. Was being quiet. I knew when not to speak, but

  588. you spoke up.

  589. I wonder if Joho Ram started realizing this is the

  590. problem right here, the Bible said, evil communication corrupt good manners.

  591. This is the problem right here, this King's pal. And

  592. that's what I'm telling some of you. You got a

  593. close buddy or a close pal. Oh, come on, now,

  594. sometimes you think they mean well, but they mean bad.

  595. Y'all.

  596. Do know that Samson was convinced that the Lilah loved him,

  597. but all along she had a plot and a poor,

  598. a sinister scheme, and a diabolical plot to destroy the

  599. liv of Samson.

  600. And I feel like this king's pal was in the

  601. court of.

  602. Jehama as he impoored by the temple to destroy the

  603. nation up he Israel. Well, that's just an old holiness

  604. preacher down there. That's just a hole in this church,

  605. just the Pentecostal church, just a group of people down there,

  606. the King's pal.

  607. Let's skip it. Some here. People's vision is cloudy for

  608. whatever reason.

  609. Listen, If they need to go to a spiritual pool

  610. and wash the dust out of their eyes with holy

  611. ghost water, they need to be on their way. Some

  612. things are spiritually deserned. Can't you see what the Holy

  613. ghost is trying to say? Can't you hear what the

  614. Holy ghost is saying?

  615. Tonight?

  616. Can't you understand who's speaking these words? Just not the

  617. words of Jeremy. It's the words of the Holy Ghost.

  618. I'm preaching all of Betheil. They tell me there's about

  619. eighty of you here tonight. Let's hear what the spirit

  620. says under the church. But you know what, I'll try

  621. to put some filler in here in just a minute.

  622. Fast forwarding when it came time for this prophecy or

  623. this promise of prosperity to be fulfilled, the King sent

  624. his body down there, and the King said, why don't

  625. you go stand there at the gate? You Bible readers

  626. and Bible students know where I'm going. I want you

  627. to go stand out there at that gate because you're

  628. fixing to see what the Man of God said come

  629. to pass, and to paraphrase, when they came in with

  630. the blessings, it'd be a shamed start to death. But

  631. what's greater than somebody starving to death, somebody that literally

  632. had the blessings right before the very eyes being stomped

  633. at death. And that's what I want you to know.

  634. You can sit still in the King's palets, or you

  635. can be like them. For Leftro's men that we read

  636. about that. We're sitting down there at tech gate and

  637. you can sit still. And you know what them leftiss

  638. men were making a decision. Do we go into the

  639. city where Jaho Ram and everybody else is. We're gonna

  640. be unclean. They're not gonna want to send there anyway.

  641. And if we're in there, we're gonna starve to death.

  642. Do we go to a church and become religious. We're

  643. gonna starve to death anyway. Or do we just sit

  644. here at the gate like Leffers and holler unclean every

  645. time somebody walks by, and just sit here till we die.

  646. Dwindle the weight of nothing. Sit there in the church.

  647. There's nothing more than a halfway house that makes every

  648. pig feel clean. Come on, now, why sit we here

  649. until we die? It'd be a shame to sit in

  650. a church, even if it's got the word holding us

  651. on the marquee and dining inside.

  652. I tell you this, it ain't looking good for that church.

  653. He used to run fifty and now runs thirteen on

  654. Wednesday night.

  655. Things ain't looking good.

  656. It sounds like the symptoms of the side of a

  657. famine to me. Can I tell you again what the

  658. word of God said, a famine comes from God. Sometimes

  659. I set a famine comes from God. Sometimes it'd be

  660. a same to sit there and starve to death. Huh.

  661. I've seen him. I've seen him sit right there. I'm

  662. gonna stick with a ship. I'm gonna stay with it.

  663. An hour's too far to drive. I'm just gonna stay

  664. rude and to stay grounded, stay planning right here. That's

  665. all right. You don't want to leave a six digit salary,

  666. do you? That's all right. God can take a little

  667. boy from Mulberry, Florida, move him to the little bell,

  668. and promise him in just a few years, I'll get

  669. you there. Are y all listening to me here tonight?

  670. I feel like some of you are as nervous as

  671. a rooster struck through the parking lot of KFC tonight

  672. for whatever reason. Huh, Sweet Lamb of God, I preach

  673. it to you here tonight. The blessing is on the horizon.

  674. The blessing is just outside the gate. And the king

  675. told his body you go on out there and you

  676. witness that what them leopards said is true. I'm gonna

  677. cut along, sermon short, and while you're looking, and while

  678. you're watching, you better be careful that you don't get

  679. stalked to death. And the Bible said that mister smart

  680. elech that stood out there, you know, he's nothing but

  681. skin and bones. Ain't no more crickets on the sidewalk.

  682. There ain't no locusts on the window seal. There ain't

  683. no wine in the great vat. Oh, there ain't no

  684. green skin in the wine press. There ain't no marley

  685. her grain on the barn floor. And King's pal coming,

  686. and he's standing at the gate, doud, and every thing

  687. God said, and here comes the blessings of God. And

  688. the Bible said, he gets trampled up under the feet

  689. of those that are carrying the blessings of God. I

  690. want to tell you we better stand up and give

  691. with it a lord be trampled on.

  692. Amen.

  693. God speaks of a wine press being brought forth and

  694. the grapes being cast in, and he literally speaks of

  695. him getting in there and treading upon those that tread

  696. upon the blood of his son. Squish, squash, splash. Your

  697. soul belongs to him. We've been given a free will.

  698. But I wonder, I wonder why we have this toxic attitude.

  699. If I don't need what God's offering. I just had

  700. to Holy just bring something on my mind. Back in

  701. the early nineteen hundreds, there was this quack nut doctor

  702. on the western coast, I believe in California, Washington.

  703. Google it.

  704. After the service checked me. I'm not afraid of that.

  705. I just had to Holy Gus bring this to mind. So,

  706. Sister Wood and I tell you to be pretty accurate.

  707. A quack doctor in the early nineteen hundreds who convinced

  708. the masses, the masses, a multitude of people that food

  709. in itself was the root of all sickness. I know

  710. the Bible said the love of money is what the

  711. root of all evil. She convinced people that food itself,

  712. food itself was the root of all sickness. And if

  713. I remember correctly, she was treating anything and everything with starvation.

  714. What you need to do is not eat. And sister

  715. how under the tutelage of that witch doctor, that net

  716. like a lot of preachers and teachers today, that I

  717. used to sit under when I wanted to be popular

  718. in high school, that I wanted to sit under when

  719. I had that long flowing hair, and that rebellious spiritnesst

  720. Us was just blazing inside of me, and every one

  721. of them telling me, mister Jeremy, you're a reputable man.

  722. You're a great guy.

  723. I flicked that hair, but I knew me better than anybody.

  724. There's a reason the Holy ghost just brought this to mine.

  725. I need to pray in church, Sister Wood And I

  726. forget how many died. It was more than a handful

  727. of two or three. Now they get sick and say

  728. I need to eat. I need to eat. And she said,

  729. I'm trying to fix that organ failure with deprivation and starvation,

  730. and people started getting black around the eyes. People say,

  731. you can't live more than thirty days without food. That's

  732. a lie. I've heard of people going over three hundred

  733. days without any solid food.

  734. It's that wicked witch starved.

  735. Them, them, holding on to a threat of hope. I'm

  736. telling you here tonight, God ain't serving up pancakes to

  737. you tonight. God's telling you He'll give you a feast,

  738. a bountiful blessings of the Lord, a feast to the

  739. fool that we just feel you to capacity that will

  740. satisfy you. And Brother Rocap, they said that that woman

  741. would tell them just keep starving that what I'm this

  742. is what I'm feeling, Sister Hell, that's what them charismatic preachers.

  743. Even with the church having holdliness and Pentecost on the marquis,

  744. I tell them people, God's still blessing, He's still feeding,

  745. We're still the people of God. Lah lah lah lah

  746. fla lah lahlah la lah. And the church goes from

  747. running one hundred to eighty to seventy to six to

  748. fifty to forwards. Hey, a toxic food attitude.

  749. You know what it is.

  750. There's too much dust in the eyes. You standing out

  751. there at the city gate looked like a victim of

  752. some holocaust. The King's paw every member of the youth

  753. Group's backsliding brother Robbie Hicks has taking me outside fifteen

  754. years ago and say, I don't understand.

  755. Why we're losing our whole youth group.

  756. With the Holy Goose in this place, King Foul, We're okay,

  757. We're okay, y'all aren't getting this. I'm gonna say it again.

  758. There wasn't a grape skin on the wine vat, There

  759. wasn't a locus on the window sill. I guarantee if

  760. one locust crossed the sidewalk somebody was fighting over it.

  761. You take a wing and I take a wing.

  762. It's a crying shame that you hear report after report

  763. like this. Dear brother that just moved here from Alabama,

  764. him and his wife doing good financially, high powered salesman,

  765. former business owner. She works at the bank, lend an agent,

  766. big money, high rollers, and sister Neatly. It broke my

  767. heart when he told me where it's so hungry spiritually.

  768. We're Baptists. We drive to Bethel about once or twice

  769. a year to be fed. I never told them to

  770. move down here. I never pulled for them all the

  771. years they'd come down here to get a handful of

  772. on purpose take it back with him to live another

  773. six months. But then he found out about Spreaker, and

  774. he told us the other night, running up and down

  775. and shouting in these altars. He said, me and my

  776. wife used to sitting a McDonald's parking lot in northern Alabama.

  777. I'm telling it right in McDonald's parking lot.

  778. And what listen? Why'd you listen?

  779. Somebody give a man a microphone? Why are you in

  780. north Alabama listening to a little church in LaBelle, Florida.

  781. We was hungry.

  782. Brother, there was nothing there.

  783. We would drive.

  784. When we did find a halfway decent church, we would

  785. drive hour plus to get fed. Brotherren And I told

  786. you other night why somebody could come in this church.

  787. And I'm not trying to get out of the way here, brother,

  788. That's what I feel in my heart and not eat

  789. from reaching every service.

  790. It just it.

  791. I don't have words for it.

  792. Brother, We was hungry. God spoke to us to come here.

  793. What a joy it was on the way over the

  794. church this night.

  795. I worked hard.

  796. Today was and when Fort Myers I come home, I

  797. was tired, took a little. Now I was excited to

  798. come be in God's house to praise him and worship

  799. him in spirit and truth. I'm not gonna sit here

  800. on a pew and not worship God.

  801. He's not gonna sit there and die. And there's people

  802. that's saying, you know what, I have been fed on spreaker.

  803. Take that to sister Lauren. I have been fed on spreaker.

  804. I have lived on handfuls of purpose. I have, but

  805. I couldn't sit there at the gate. I could not

  806. sit there at the gate. I have slowed down drastically.

  807. I feel the need to Sister would And I just

  808. keep having a vision repeatedly of the King's pow standing

  809. there at the gate, disoriented Sister Howell as they began

  810. to run inside with the blessings that the Leftar's men

  811. had told him about. I'm sure he got dust in

  812. his eyes. And you know what happens when you sit

  813. there long enough, and you stand there long enough, you

  814. get misty eyed, and you get dust in your eyes

  815. and you can't see clearly. And you know what happens

  816. when you start to go without food too long and

  817. starvation sets in. You don't think right. You start thinking

  818. things you shouldn't be thinking. You start contemplating, considering doing

  819. things you would never do prior to being so hungry.

  820. And I'm gonna say, two mothers right here with two babies.

  821. Could you imagine being so hungry that you would even

  822. consider Sister Rachel eating Nathan, Sister Hannah? Could you imagine

  823. being so hungry that you would even consider eating Judah.

  824. I'll tell you why them youth, of them youth groups

  825. are running out there indulging on the things of the

  826. world because what was in the church wasn't satisfying.

  827. My beef has.

  828. Never been with a prodigal and the one that got

  829. out of them hellholes. My beef has always been with

  830. the ministers that refused to feed the people. What does

  831. saith the word of God? I want you to know

  832. when Elisha came in Jehoram, he probably scratched his head

  833. and said, the man of hope.

  834. Just came in with a word of hope. Sister Lauren, testify, please.

  835. I was I was desperate and I was hungry, and

  836. it was just me and my son, and I would

  837. travel to different churches an hour, two hours, even three hours,

  838. and there was nothing, and I was the only young

  839. person left. And Sister Hannah, she would send me the

  840. links here and I would listen, and I would just

  841. want to be here so bad do I finally got

  842. the chance to come, and it's just I've never There's

  843. no church like it at all. There's just nothing like it.

  844. I'm just so thankful, Amen.

  845. Something just occurred to me. A toxic attitude concerning food.

  846. I don't know who the gentleman is. Some of the

  847. young people in this building may or may not know

  848. of a man named mister Beast. I believe he's a

  849. YouTube influencer, a content generator. This just came to mind.

  850. I remember some years ago hearing that this young man,

  851. whatever his real name is, I know not, but they

  852. said he decided to do a thirty day fast as

  853. the forty day Fast. I can't remember the details, but

  854. it's probably on the internet. And I remember reading an

  855. article that said a celebrity chef came to him. I

  856. believe it was mister Gordon Ramsey and he said, you

  857. need to eat something. Here's a sandwich, and he turned

  858. that sandwich away in order to finish his mission of

  859. going without food. Take it to Sister Teresa. And I'm

  860. going to tell you there's a lot of people I

  861. wouldn't think of turning a good sandwich away. But there's

  862. a greater than Gordon Ramsey here tonight. And it ain't

  863. Jeremy Howell. I feel the Holy Ghost. I can't imagine

  864. somebody living within an hour's drive of where there is

  865. bread enough and despair and them perishing with hunger.

  866. I don't know.

  867. How far the prodigal son went to the far country,

  868. but he came to himself. And when he came to himself,

  869. y'all hear the Holy Goost's fixed my voice right when

  870. he came to himself, he said, I know of mom

  871. and Dad's there's bread enough and despair. There's some knuckle

  872. prints in Mama's biscuits. There's bread enough and de spare.

  873. And I want to tell the Bethel hole in his church,

  874. we haven't seen nothing yet.

  875. I heard the Holy Ghost say the best is yet

  876. to come.

  877. And brother Jesse, I want to encourage Bethel just to

  878. step outside of the gate. The Bible said that israel

  879. lights went into the camp of the Syrians and they

  880. got so much how the spoilage of the Syrian So

  881. they brought it back in and they went from a

  882. piece of derves dunge being weighed on the scale and

  883. soul for a xubert amount of money for having so

  884. much morley, so much flour, so much grain that they

  885. were just selling it for Peter.

  886. So I'm telling.

  887. You the Holy Ghost is more than a commodity here,

  888. the Holy Ghost he is plentiful here.

  889. Praise the Lord. Let's keep it that way.

  890. It's not that we're deserving of it, but is that

  891. he wants to prepare for somebody. That's why I created

  892. the world, That's why I started the Guard of Eating.

  893. He wants to prepare heath pch you.

  894. You're talking about the enemy of the children of God

  895. had laid siege on their the storehouses, the Syrians had

  896. done to the Israelites. What the devil's doing the church

  897. people and the people of this world. Somebody hands Sister

  898. Teresa Wallace the microphone. I've never done this in my

  899. preaching that I know of, but I want to say

  900. one more thing. Some of you weren't brave when you

  901. showed up here. You were desperate.

  902. Amen, Amen, testify, Sister Wallace. Thank you for waiting.

  903. I thank the Lord for bringing us here. I thank

  904. you for saving us. We were desperate, we were dying,

  905. We were losing our family, our daughter, everything was falling apart.

  906. There was a prophecy giving out and said that if

  907. we stayed where we were at, we would die and

  908. we would lose our family. And if we stayed there

  909. it would be bad. When that church closed or fell apart,

  910. we would be a part of it. And thank you

  911. for bringing us here. I remember coming the first time

  912. in twenty eighteen to the convention, and I cried when

  913. we left, and I said, God, this is exactly what

  914. our family needs. We need Bethel.

  915. We need pastors, our pastor, our family is desperate. Then

  916. I'm thankful that he brought us here. Nineteenth of this

  917. month will be a year ago that I died and

  918. the Lord brought me back. All never indebted to my pastor,

  919. first lady in Bethel.

  920. Family, and to God. He's been so good to me.

  921. Not only that.

  922. Pastor's been telling us for a while and preaching his

  923. saying that the prodigal is gonna come home. And I'm

  924. thankful for what he's doing for Dylan and Molly. He

  925. called and he said that God's dealing with him, and

  926. he done some things in his past and he knows

  927. that he's wrong, and God's forgiving me.

  928. And he said that if he'd.

  929. Go to any church now, the only place he feels

  930. like he could be his under pastor and a Bethel.

  931. I know God is gonna work. I was sorry till.

  932. The day I die.

  933. He put us here for a reason. I won't go

  934. back to where I came from. If I had to do.

  935. It on my own, I will, Oh.

  936. God help me this night, Thank you Lord, thank you.

  937. And I just this when this family showed up, their

  938. daughter was having tremors and shaken. They drive thirteen fourteen

  939. hours from one service and drive home and work.

  940. Did that for a little while after they moved down here.

  941. I remember them telling me that the legendary oracle of God,

  942. brother George Polecat, years ago, I had no knowledge of this.

  943. The prophecy she spoke of was not the prophecy of

  944. Jeremy Howell years ago, a man of God just like

  945. Elisha when he came into the courtroom of Jehoram, George

  946. Polecat told him there's going to be trouble up the road.

  947. I didn't prophesy of the dissembling of that church. Another

  948. prophet did, not that I'm a prophet, but another oracle

  949. other than Elisha prophesied that. And today where they had

  950. been the church for brother ej. Twenty five years or better,

  951. probably how long since two thousand and eight, they would

  952. inevitably that church would close its doors. They moved, and

  953. not long after, not because of their move, Not long

  954. after that church closed their doors. You know why, because

  955. God knew they would. And God told Brother George Polcat,

  956. what year would that have been, do you know? Just

  957. after the church formed. Now we haven't named the name

  958. of the church, nor the name of the former pastors

  959. or whatever, that's neither here nor there. We as individuals

  960. and as families, we must survive. And I set at

  961. the beginning this message, our children must survive. My children

  962. and my grandchildren need to know what I know, and

  963. I need to share with them where the bread is at.

  964. And the Bible doesn't say, But the Bible did say

  965. that the prodigal son had devoured his living with harlots.

  966. And you know what, if there were any illegitimate children

  967. that had happened during that time, I kind of believe

  968. I'm not adding to the Bible. I ain't preached anything,

  969. and I just been added to the Bible. But I believe, sister,

  970. he didn't come home a little pigs in his arms.

  971. Said he came to a census, He got out of

  972. the hog pen and came to the father's house. He

  973. didn't come a little pigs, But sister, how the Bible

  974. didn't tell us.

  975. But he may have had.

  976. Some little sons come and some little daughters come. Come

  977. with me to the father's house. Let me show you

  978. a place where Grandma and Grandpa has got plenty of bread.

  979. Let's stand night. I told you about this little kitten.

  980. That's Sister how and I picked up it's a little

  981. orphan kitten.

  982. We let it out.

  983. It comes into where we stay sometimes and Sister Wood,

  984. and already it knows its boundary, already, it knows where

  985. the lines are drawn. And sometimes Sister holl being there

  986. preparing something in the kitchen, and that little thing will

  987. stand right there on the edge. And Sister Hell, here's

  988. the keyword. It's nosy. It'll stand right there on the edge,

  989. and it'll watch your mama, Brother Jesse, It'll watch him

  990. ingredients go in.

  991. It'll watch that spoon go in.

  992. It'll watch that concoction go in the oven and come out.

  993. It's nosy.

  994. And I want to tell the nosy Nellies that listen

  995. from time to time, not the ones that are hungry,

  996. not those that end up where God sends them, Not

  997. those that are being fed, not those that are receiving

  998. of the goodness of the Lord and the blessing. May

  999. all of us continue to feed on the ministry of

1000. Brother Jeremiah How and all of his online sermon libraries

1001. and podcasts. I'm not speaking to you, don't stop listening,

1002. But to all the nosy nellies. That's listening just to

1003. catch a little word of something I'm gonna.

1004. Tell you you're gonna die.

1005. To get if you read our text tonight, the King's Pal.

1006. You can peer into church's services. You can peek into

1007. their live streams, you can peek into their facebooks. I'm

1008. not talking about true hungry souls. You can peer in

1009. through the cracks of the windows and watch what's going on.

1010. But if you don't, come on in and partake
