-
And I want to preach a message the Holy Ghost
-
title the kiss principle, keep it simple, Saint, Keep it simple, Saint.
-
And if you prefer a title like this one, the
-
plainness principle, the plainness principle. If you have your Bibles,
-
will you turn with me to the Book of Habacic
-
chapter number two, verses number one through four. Please, Brother Samuel,
-
Second Corinthians, chapter number six and verse number two. Brother Nathaniel,
-
first Desalonians, Chapter number one and six, and Brother Tyler,
-
second corinth Ens, Chapter number three and verses number twelve
-
through fourteen, Brother Samuel, would you read that for us
-
Second Corinthians six and two.
-
For he saith, I have heard THEE in a time accepted,
-
and in the day of salvation. I have suckered THEE
-
because behold now is the accepted time. Behold, now is
-
the day of salvation.
-
I want to tell you that God has been speaking
-
to that now is the accepted time. Behold, this moment
-
is your time of salvation. Brother Nathaniel, firstusalone ends, chapter
-
number one and verse number six. And he became followers
-
of us and of the Lord, having received the word
-
and much affliction with the joy of the Holy Ghost,
-
praise the Lord. Brother Tyler, Second Corinthian's chapter number three,
-
verses number twelve through fourteen.
-
Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great
-
plainness of speech, and not as Moses, which put a
-
veil over his face, that the children of Israel could
-
not steadfastly look to the end of that which is abolished,
-
but their minds were blinded, for until this day remaineth
-
the same veil untaken away in the reading of the
-
Old Testament, which veil is done away in.
-
Christ Amen, not as Moses wearing a veil, but with
-
great plainness of speech. It's clear for anyone to see
-
that God is speaking to sum within the Bethel Holiness Church.
-
And this service, this moment is your moment of salvation.
-
Let's stand for the reading of our golden text. Tobacca,
-
chapter number two, verses number one through four.
-
The Bible says, I will.
-
Stand upon my watch and set me upon the tower,
-
and will watch to see what he will say unto me,
-
and what I shall answer when I am reproved. And
-
the Lord answered me and said, write the vision and
-
make it plain upon tables, that he may run that
-
readeth it. For the vision as yet for an appointed time.
-
But at the end it shall speak and not lie.
-
Though at tarry wait for it, because it will surely come.
-
It will not terry.
-
Behold, his soul, which is lifted up, is not upriting him.
-
But the just shall live by faith. Looking at verse
-
number two, and the Lord answered me and said, write
-
the vision and make it plain upon tables that he
-
may run that readeth it. Make it plain. Let's pray,
-
Heavenly Father, we love and we praise you. We thank
-
you for the opportunity to be in your house tonight.
-
I thank you for this precious people, each one of them, Lord,
-
that has chosen to be in your house tonight, to
-
hear your word, to sing the songs of Zion with
-
their brothers and sisters of light precious faith. I thank
-
you for the anointed singing we heard tonight, the anointed
-
exhortations and admonishments of Brother Nathaniel and Brother Philip.
-
I pray that you would annoy it.
-
This thy servant, set a guard at my mouth, and
-
help me to say the things you would have me
-
to say, nothing more or less, annoy the ears of
-
this people, that they might hear what the spirit of
-
God says unto the church, and may we depart this
-
place joyfully and not sorrowfully.
-
In Jesus' name.
-
In the church said heymen, look at your neighbor and say, hey, neighbor,
-
keep it simple, Amen.
-
May God help us to do so.
-
Our text is found in an Old Testament book of
-
the Holy Bible. The Book of Habaccic is a book
-
written by man with a burden. The Bible readers and
-
students among us tonight know why this prophet of God
-
was so heavily burden. He was burdened because he knew
-
the Lord was bothered by the things he the Lord saw,
-
and some things were bothering this man of God as well.
-
In recent weeks, I've been able to tell that some
-
of our Sunday school teachers have been quite stirred in
-
their spirit because of a disbe amongst a few in
-
this particular House of God, amongst this people of God,
-
they have descerned that there are two or three of
-
our young adults and young people that are not fully
-
committed to the work and the will of God. For
-
whatever reason, they are dangerously distracted. And because of these
-
dangerous distractions, they have taken detours that have caused them
-
to be on ways that lead to destruction. And since
-
the roots, some of them feel like they are on
-
a right path. You can tell when you look upon
-
their life and you look upon some of the things
-
that they're doing, you can tell, for the most part
-
that they possess some sort of artificial assurance.
-
That they are okay.
-
But I'm concerned as well because I sense a lack
-
of sincerity and humility concerning their steps.
-
They're not taking the right steps.
-
Sometimes we know that God requires us to step back
-
and reassess our situation. Sometimes we need to step back,
-
and Brother Caleb, we need to walk back in order
-
to get back on track.
-
And I'm concerned that some are unwilling to.
-
Walk back and see how did they miss it and
-
where did they miss it. In my life of nearly
-
fifty years, there's been many times that I have backtracked
-
because I felt a need to do so. And at
-
a point where I was being misdirected by a minister,
-
or by a spirit, or even by my own deceitful heart,
-
I knelt down and made an altar right there in
-
the sand and said, God, thank you for allowing me
-
to see my spiritual condition, and in humility and through sincerity,
-
I said, God, be merciful to me and allow me
-
to once again walk in a plane path. And I
-
thank God for this plain path that we're walking on
-
that does not lead to destruction. And there is a
-
way that seemeth right to this three or four young people.
-
But the end is destruction. Everybody in the building knows it.
-
In fact, Brother Nathaniel and Brother Samuel said this past
-
Sunday night was the greatest service in the Bethel Holiness
-
Church's history. And I must wholeheartedly concur with that statement,
-
for I have been here that entire length of time,
-
and one of the elders of our church that has
-
been here for as long as I have been here.
-
She said as well. It was just spectacular. There was
-
something beyond somebody saying thank God for the sweet Holy Ghost,
-
thank God for the Spirit of God that I feel
-
and that lives within me. There was greater power and
-
greater grace as our pastor had preached that morning upon
-
the Saints of God.
-
That night, and even though the Spirit of God.
-
Was moving in a greater measure, you could tell that
-
God was dealing with a handful amongst the seventy or
-
fiber eighted that was present that they needed to resept
-
their mindset, that they needed to backtrap.
-
They needed to build an altar under God and.
-
Repent of some things, including a sour and bad attitude.
-
The prophet Hubachik felt the same way about the nation
-
of Israel during his lifetime. He reached this past Sunday night,
-
prior to us having that wonderful altar service about the
-
Great Man of God at Daniel. How he was distinguished
-
amongst his peers and contemporaries because within him was an
-
excellent spirit. And I believe within all of the children
-
of God there ought to be an excellent spirit. Everyone
-
this blood ball and born again ought to possess an
-
excellent spirit. And so Hubakik looked upon the people of
-
his generation, and he realizes the same thing that the
-
Prophet Jeremiah realized. For he too, lived in a time
-
prior to Nebuka Nezzar coming in and pummiting the city
-
of Judah to power to powder. He felt like a
-
judgment was coming, just like the Prophet Jeremiah felt to
-
be so. And he knew that there are people that
-
are not going to be an exception to the rule,
-
and there's people that are not going to escape the
-
judgment of God. And so Jeremih is preaching in his
-
post of duty, and the prophet Habaki is preaching in
-
his post of duty, and they're preaching the same message
-
that the disobedient Israelites are going to face judgment and
-
ultimately the.
-
Wrath of Almighty God.
-
And these being of God, they realize them that what's
-
bothering God is now bothering them. And I feel like
-
there's some elders and ministers in this church, even though
-
we have been blessed with greater power and greater grace
-
of late, that we are bothered about them. Your state
-
of of peers and your state of mind. It bothers
-
me extremely when I come to the poolpit repeatedly and
-
service after service, and I detect that there's a handful
-
of people that just do not want to align themselves
-
and with the word of God. The prophets Jeremiah and
-
Habacic were no doubt peers and or contemporaries. They're preaching
-
around the same period of time, and they're preaching the
-
same message. And I paraphraise that God knows and these people.
-
Are cruising for a bruising, and.
-
These prophets are weeping prophets, and they are definitely troubler
-
about what is going to come upon the people of
-
God and winning when many refusing to intercede on the
-
behalf of their brothers and sisters. And these two men
-
of God are willing to be intercessors. And so let's
-
focus more on Habackkan because we're looking at his brief
-
writing tonight. As you read through this book of the Bible,
-
you see that this man is sick and tired of
-
seeing God's voice silenced them.
-
For the Israelites because of their sin.
-
We know that there were various periods in the nation
-
of Israel's history where God grew silent and because of
-
his disapproval for their disobedience to his commandments. Every person
-
in this building tonight could tell us that whenever their
-
parents got quiet, sometimes they wanted to know and what
-
was it that idead that upset them? And Harbacchic is
-
sick and tired of the violence of the voice of God.
-
He wants to hear God speak of blessings upon his people.
-
I want to see God bless her each and every
-
person that is a member of the best of Holiness church,
-
where her back ex senses that something horrible is on
-
the horizon, and the words of his sermons aligned perfectly
-
with the sermons of the prophet Jeremiah. For the most part,
-
those people are for a pride, and they are disobedient.
-
This past Sunday night was probably our greatest service in
-
our history. But dearing that mighty move of God, I
-
felt a sense of urgency to tell somebody your.
-
Time is about out.
-
While brother Samuel Howell came over to my house the
-
last night to share with me some wonderful things that
-
took place in his life, and some of the other
-
young men they had apparently got together on Monday and
-
had talked about all the wonderful things that God had
-
done for them.
-
Listen, Harbacca would have.
-
Loved to be able to say, you people have come
-
together with one purpose in mind, and that is true
-
total obedience, to sing the praises of God and to
-
receive a blessing. But har Bacca is not in a
-
position to say this, for he, as a man of God,
-
mustn't use plainness. Her speech tonight a golden text. This
-
Orbacca chapter number two and verse number three. At some point,
-
our sister Habacca, come for the vision as yet for
-
an appointed time. But at that time you shall speak,
-
and shall not lie, though it tarry, wait for it,
-
because it will surely come.
-
Oh, come on now, I'm telling some of you here
-
to night.
-
Don't let the blessings of your brothers and sisters and
-
rock you into complacency. And I remember for years hearing
-
people say to one another, what a great service we
-
had tonight, And as an honest, herded young man who
-
was not preaching him, I.
-
Would go home and consider their words. And one of the.
-
Words that I had a problem with was the word we,
-
because I knew that night marks thirty or forty, only
-
two or three genuine pure vanilla blue ribbon dedicated to
-
voteed Committee. Satsan had really got her life altering and
-
a life changing blessing. But there were people that were
-
okay to say we had a great service tonight. The
-
nation of Israel will soon find out that Habacco is saying,
-
you're gonna pay for your sin. We're gonna face the
-
cots of quts for what you're doing that when you
-
were not around the people of God. I feel like
-
preaching right on through this persistent sickness, hey man, And
-
so you got seventy people that say and praise God.
-
Revival is here, spontaneous revival is about to outbreak. But
-
then you have God hanging little signs over the head
-
of some individuals and he's saying, there's appointed times for
-
those individuals. There is going to come a time when
-
the judgment of God overshadows you, and the lightning bolts
-
they come out of the judgment cloud and.
-
Strike you personally. Come on, you.
-
Don't feel like it, but you have tarried long enough,
-
and you have waited long enough.
-
But you know that's what our tech said. It will
-
not tarry. There is an appointed time.
-
This man of God had occupied his post faithfully, and
-
he had remained in his appointed place and all the while,
-
if you would, Brother Nathaniel, he's walking into that fellowship, Paul,
-
he's pulling that lecturing out, while Brother Rocap is pulling
-
one out in the Saint SOVERI and those two men
-
with a burdening of vision, they are teaching the people
-
the best the holiness concerning things that God has put
-
on their heart. I song leader, the Lovely Sister Charity
-
and she walks up the steps of the platform and
-
tells us to turn the page number so and so,
-
and we're singing the blessed songs that were compiled by
-
the Church of God in their hymn book. But sister
-
Wood and Habacco, he's doing the same thing.
-
But he notices concerning some.
-
God has got nothing at all to say concerning good
-
things in their life. Forthcoming is relatza that a repeatedly
-
invertedly this sobeyed God. They're gonna face consequences for sin.
-
And there some of you repeatedly, intentionally, deliberately, and most
-
definitely choosing no wilfully and disurbey the commandments of God
-
when it comes to worship. And God use great plainness
-
of speech through the poets and the symist.
-
And he said, clap your hands.
-
You don't need a dictionary to know the definition of
-
the world. Clap in another place another man using great
-
plainness of speech, and he said, lift up your voice,
-
and how's a trumpet? And that's what Apostle Paul said
-
to the Corinthian Church that Second Corinthians and chapter number three,
-
around verses number twelve and through verse number fourteen, he said,
-
there may have been a day when your people were
-
wondering in the elderness, when you have questions about Moses's
-
encounter in the mount, when you have Christians and about
-
the experience. But you knew his face was glowing. And
-
yes it might have been shrouded.
-
In a veil.
-
But Paul said, I'm not here shrouded in a veil,
-
and my gospel is no longer. Here were great plainness
-
of speech. I'm telling you that Jesus said he died,
-
he was buried, and he was were erected.
-
I want you to know.
-
The gospel is that Sepa, let you humble yourself under God.
-
And God will left you up. He said.
-
I remember being a little boy like brother Marca is tonight,
-
sitting on the pews of that old Church of God
-
that I attended, and I think for the most part,
-
they're not even having services in there anymore. I remember
-
visiting the Bradley Church of God, and I know they're
-
not having services in there anymore from what I've heard.
-
And that's the church I got saved in. And that's
-
going back between forty and fifty years ago. Sister Janet Hill,
-
them preachers that were educating men that come out of
-
Lee University.
-
Some did and some didn't.
-
Some probably come out of the backside of being fields,
-
and some probably come from being straight. At his students
-
a Bible seminary wherever they came from, though, there was
-
a general consensus and an agreement that the King James
-
Version Bible could be understood by fifth grader. Do y'all
-
remember hearing that I have heard it for nearly fifty
-
two years, that a fifth grader reading on a fifth
-
grade level can understand the plainness or come on of
-
lettering and plain words.
-
I'm telling you if a fifth grader can.
-
Understand it, I remember years ago hearing a slogan in
-
the world, are you smarter than a fifth grader? Where
-
they get that prim I want you in their air?
-
Per body knows concerning the Bible A fool her away,
-
fair man. We are not air in this plain way.
-
We're not air in that straight way. That's a plain way.
-
That's a straight way. Where you get in trouble is
-
with all that wiggling and robbling. Where you get in
-
trouble is when you're supposed to be looking forward.
-
That's your eye us look right on.
-
But when you're looking back come on now, no man, woman, boy, girl,
-
have us set their hand to the pile and looking back,
-
here's fit.
-
For the king. Amen.
-
I'm telling you, they tell me now that you've got
-
to be on Google and other search engines in order
-
to understand a verse of Scripture. I didn't believe that
-
the night that I got saved. I didn't believe that
-
as a little boy in the church, and neither did
-
one of my friends, who was never raised in church.
-
We heard the preacher preach the simplicity of the gospel
-
Jesus Christ and him crucified.
-
And I'm telling you, men.
-
Like these apostles that were definitely students of the Law
-
of Moses, but we're ignorant and unlearned in some ways,
-
brother road cap. They became the authors of some of
-
the greatest writings, the greatest sacred writings known to humanity,
-
because of the Holy Ghost. And when you get saved,
-
you can desern things spiritually. When you become a new creature,
-
you can understand things. When you become a sheep, you
-
can hear the voice of the shepherd. He said, my sheep,
-
hear my voice. Had another They will not follow. They
-
tell me there's over four hundred versions, which I call
-
perversions of the Bible. I don't care how many there is.
-
Back then, the King James translation was easily comprehended. You
-
know THEE means something there, You know thou means something.
-
If you can't understand that with certificate.
-
On the wall and your college degree advertised, ho ever
-
social media paint you title, then.
-
You watch Mada that a fifth grader.
-
The same people that tell us that stuff, they seem
-
to understand William Shakespeare and his writings. They seem to
-
love the writers of Charles Dickens like I do. Hey,
-
come on, I'm telling you the Bible is right and
-
somebody is wrong. I want to preach to you here tonight.
-
This book that we are looking through tonight is a
-
book of dialogue between the Lord and his messenger Habacchic,
-
and in verse number two, the Lord told a backic
-
to write it down and to make it plain and
-
easy to read. That's what Apostle Paul said. I am not,
-
although I have the ability to. I am a gentleman,
-
and I am a scholar. I did school at the
-
feet of the Mail. But I come not with eloquent speech.
-
I don't come with the wisdom of man's words. But
-
I came with demonstration and a power. Oh, come on here,
-
Yes he did, and you know what, everybody understood him.
-
And I want you to know that Legion of goodra
-
probably couldn't even think clearly, and definitely couldn't have spoken
-
coherent or you plainly. But when Jesus got done with him,
-
that man was sitting, he was clothed and in his
-
right mind. And I'm telling you, when you get saved,
-
you're in your right mind, and you can understand the
-
Bible because they are the words of your master. And
-
when you become a sheep, you understand the words of
-
your master. But thees Israelites had hardened their heart and
-
they became immral, and they committed idolatry, both naturally and
-
spiritually idolatry, Brother Philip, God needed a maleman. God needed
-
a messenger. He's got Jeremiah preaching over here in one corner,
-
and he's got Heachic over here preaching. And it's just
-
like when Brother Nathaniel Howell preaches and Brother Thomasteric preaches,
-
because they are of the same spirit, they have the
-
same message. The messenger would need to use plainness of speech.
-
Look at our golden text, and brother Nathaniel the messenger
-
himself would need to understand it, and those that read
-
it would need to understand it. Now, Daniel, he's a philosopher,
-
and Daniel he's a learning student in Israel. I wish
-
I could have finished preaching that message Sunday night, but
-
the Holy Girls took over. And that's better any day
-
than my preaching. But I want you to know that Daniel,
-
when he had his experiences in the spirit, Sister Howell,
-
there were some things that he didn't understand, and the
-
scholars of Judaism didn't understand, and the scholars of Christianity
-
today still do not fully understand that the prophecy and
-
the prophetic visions for Daniel that I want you to
-
know her back the Man of God said her golda
-
girl said write it down and naked as plain as
-
you can, so that everybody understand. And that's what Philip
-
he told the Ethiopian Unica. Understand this, nou what the
-
leaders o fo they're away fer Man will not hear
-
in it. If you're an Ethiopian Unich, hold in your
-
hand a copy of the manuscript of the prophet of God.
-
God will send another preacher to interpret it for you,
-
not Google. How shall they hear not through Google's interpretation.
-
They say that CHAT, GPT and artificial intelligence is biased.
-
They say, what people don't.
-
Realize is it is going to lean in your direction
-
because it's even politically correct concerning you as an individual.
-
If it detects that you've got certain taste and certain likes,
-
it's gonna put it over there in your field. Why
-
where you can relate to it, where you can understand it.
-
I feel like preaching a while here tonight. I'm telling
-
you the apostle Paul spoke of certain adornments that people
-
put on the outward, and he said, concerning Sarah, he
-
took them on back to the matriarchs. He took them
-
way on back to the founders of the Hebrew faith,
-
and they said, them women in like manner, them holy
-
women of God, you know, like Mother Sarah, the wife
-
of Abraham, the father of the faith. And they were
-
not concerned with ornating themselves or adorning themselfs recaut, hooray.
-
What he was saying is and them women knew that
-
God beautifies them meet with salvation. I've never been ashamed
-
of Sister Howell since she stopped her ordinating herself with
-
the decorations of this world. I'm telling you, God will
-
beautifie for.
-
Meek with salvation.
-
You want me to go deeper, Holy Ghost, I need you,
-
Thank your Holy Ghost.
-
You know what he said, Daniel, You're in the land
-
of Bible. He told them.
-
He said, listen, now, you stick with your diet and
-
I'll stick with mine. I'll stick with a Hebrew did oh,
-
thank God, and we will not defile ourself with a
-
portion for the king's meet. What he was saying is,
-
just let us be here, plain Hebrews. Just let us
-
do it to God's way. He will beautify the meek
-
with salvation. I've seen it so much. I'm an observant person.
-
I'm an analytical person. Since I was a kid, they
-
told me I could read people, and I've seen it.
-
My wife got rid of the decor of this world
-
that she ornated herself with. After she got saved and
-
after she became a student of the book. It is
-
not that she's there literate, It is not that she's uneducated.
-
In fact, whenever you read behind her in the photocircle,
-
Carment board, you can realize there's a whole lot going
-
on there. I listen to the Howl Boys preaching and
-
I think, listen to that compound. Hey, thank god raw
-
talent of Charity Howell and Jeremy Howe coming out. I'm
-
telling you we taught them boys. We didn't raise no
-
stupid people. But I'm telling you, when it came to
-
the principles of God, we knew we better keep it simple.
-
I'm preaching and I don't keep it simple.
-
Saint Bob Dobek used to work for me with them
-
young dressmen, them specialized still detailers. He would say, keep
-
it simple, stupid, he said, remember the kiss Principal. He said,
-
never forget it, because he said, they're shock men out
-
there that are working and reading your blueprint, and they're
-
working in poor conditions. They're working through poor lighting, and
-
he said, they're not gonna be able to see it
-
as good as you do. Come on, I feel like
-
God is such a fair god. He knows that Michael
-
David Howell at the age of six, he's gonna get
-
bored again, or somebody else at the age of sixty. Oh,
-
thank God for plainness of speech. Oh thank God for
-
plainness of path.
-
I wonder how all.
-
Of these people arguing about doctrine and standards and commitment
-
and devotion up with a fair back in the early
-
church days without their God.
-
Google for Google God, he.
-
Just me answers for everything they say.
-
The Holy ghosty in this place.
-
I want to preach to you since the how it
-
got saved and she started realizing this King James translation
-
is clear.
-
It's as clear as the nose on my face.
-
I'm telling you it is plain. It is simple. Thank
-
God for the ancient manuscript. I know they have created
-
four hundred to six hundred per versions or versions, trying
-
to make it easy for everybody to understand it. What
-
did everybody do before we had all these other versions? Oh,
-
thank God for this translation. They can pick their version,
-
but whenever their version starts removing critical things and starts
-
taking out the plainness that there is a literal hell,
-
and when their versions start moving, oh, come on, punctuation marks.
-
I don't know about you, but I feel the importance
-
to cross the tees and doctor my Oh God in
-
Heaven help us here tonight. There's some of them daydreaming
-
right now, sister wooting. We got about seventy five prison
-
in this building right now, and I'm telling you they're stray.
-
Or for they are in La law Len.
-
You can understand what the Bible said, and you can
-
live it. I said, you can live it. This man
-
of God had occupied his post. I can't think of
-
a time I've seen Brother Nathaniel abandon his post. You
-
should fall out with him for him taking his responsibility
-
seriously and delivering words of truth to you. You should
-
fall out with Brother Rocap for him taking this responsibility
-
seriously and delivering words of truth to you. In fact,
-
these men of God now communicate multiple times a week.
-
It ain't just on Saturday night when we start talking
-
about what God is dealing with us.
-
Out for you.
-
So, Brother Samuel, Howe, God blessed Sunday night. What a
-
great service we all had. I'm talking about you. There's
-
an appointed time of judgment coming. I don't meddle in
-
affairs not belonging to me. I don't meddle in business
-
that belongs to God. I know the Bible said, what
-
is the chaff to the wheat? I know God puts
-
the wheat in the threshing floor, and I know he
-
winnows it, I said, I know he winnows it, and
-
I know he lets the chaff be separated from the wheat.
-
And I don't understand sometimes how people start suffering at
-
the chastening rod of God.
-
But I said it.
-
This past Sunday night, God allowed that chastening rod to
-
go from his hand into his earthly henchmen Nebukanezzar's hand.
-
And this is what I'm telling you. Both Jeremiah and Habacchic,
-
they said he's coming. There is a man from Babylon
-
coming Sunday night. I told you it's coming. Until night.
-
I'm telling you the fury and the wrath of God
-
is coming. I don't want it to come. I want
-
to be like Tobacco. I want God to spare you.
-
I wanted to end up in hope. I want to
-
believe the mercy of God will abound. I want to
-
believe that the grace of God will abound. But what
-
will you do with this plainness of speech?
-
Tonight?
-
As I tell you, there is an appointed place, an
-
appointed time, and time's about over. This man knew judgment
-
was pending the Lord's release. Sister, Howell, how's he preaching
-
like that? Over the sickness, because I can't even get
-
in with a sickness if you'd push yourself to get
-
into spirit. Hubbaccic knew the God was coming, and he
-
appeared to be somewhat weary with a conscious standoff between
-
the sins of the people and the judgment and the
-
wrath of Almighty God. That's what God spoke to me today.
-
The Habacca had to be like me, just getting weary
-
with the constant standoff of the sins of the people
-
against the wrath and the judgment of God. It's just
-
like the Philistines in the nation of Israel. They're just
-
waiting on somebody to make the first move. And the
-
goodness of God, as to howl, has led them to repentance,
-
and the goodness of God has led them away from iniquity,
-
and the goodness of God has led them down a
-
simple path and a plain path. Touch not handle not,
-
say not, partake not. I'm not wanting to see wrath
-
poured out on anybody, not man's wrath or God's wrath.
-
I'm not wanting to see anybody schmacka sem my head
-
on whether disobedient or obedient child of God. But you
-
know what, the spirit of Jonah can get on the
-
saints of God if we're not careful. And Jonah preached,
-
I've said in Jonah preach, And after Jonah preached, brother Nathaniel,
-
he walked outside of the city of Nineveh, and he
-
waited on God's wrath. I'm not waiting on God's wrath.
-
My name is Jeremy, Howell. I've been known to have
-
a tender heart. I've been known to work with people.
-
I've been known give people the benefit of the doubt.
-
I know that all have sin and come short of
-
the glory of God. My name is Jeremy, not Jonah
-
and Jonah. Chapter number four and verse number five. The
-
Bible says, so Jonah went out of the city and
-
sat on the east side of the city, and there
-
made him a booth and sat under it in the shadow,
-
till he might see what would become of the city.
-
Apparently the prophet Jonah didn't always operate and the right
-
spirit or attitude. Oh, how quickly he forsook the opportunity
-
to pray for the mercies of God to fall upon
-
the city of Nineveh, rather than the wrath of God.
-
And that's what me and brother Nathaniel and the other
-
ministers here. We've been asking God is to allow the
-
windows up heaven to open up and pour out greater
-
power and greater gra Sir, greater goodness and greater mercy
-
on you.
-
But what can we do if you want to do
-
it your way?
-
Mister Jonah, Let brother Jeremy, how will tell you something
-
that the Lord put in my heart today? As sure
-
as the sun is going to rise in the eastern sky,
-
as you sit in the east side of the city,
-
so shall the mercies of God rise each morning. The
-
Bible said that Jonah said, on the eastern side of
-
the city, that's the side where the sun comes up.
-
He didn't even know, Oh, I felt the Holy Ghost
-
just now lamentations chet to number three and verse number
-
twenty two and twenty three.
-
The weeping profit that.
-
Didn't want to see harm or destruction come to his city,
-
and nobody. Jeremiah's walking around, and he said, it is
-
the Lord's mercy that we are not consumed.
-
Already.
-
It is of the Lord's mercy that we are not consumed,
-
because His compassions fall not they are new every morning.
-
And great is Thy faithfulness right here tonight. Once again.
-
The Son of Righteousness has arisen in your eastern sky,
-
with healing her in his wings. He wants to meet you,
-
an altar young adult woman. He wants to meet you,
-
an altar young adult man. We just say God, I'm
-
sick and.
-
Tired of my sealing. We just save my soul.
-
I remember an old song, and lyrics in that song
-
went something like this, Mercy rewrote my life. Why will
-
you not allow Mercy's pen to scribble on parchment tonight
-
and say? My feet had nice lipped, but my God
-
came to my rescue. My soul had aired, but my
-
Savior put me on the right path. I stumbled and
-
I fell short of his glory, but he picked me up.
-
I fell, and my enemy was going to rejoice against me.
-
But somehow, because his goodness and his mercy was there,
-
he stood me up. And David said, surely, goodness and
-
mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.
-
And that's just that. How long do you have to
-
live till the battering ram of nebukanaz Or thumps and
-
thuds on your front door? Jeremiah's walking around, Sister Vicki
-
her bacchics walking around sister Neely, Brother Aaron. They're preaching
-
God's got it covered. The gospel seed is being scattered
-
by great men of God.
-
And they know.
-
How many are they preaching to, Not seventy five to
-
eighty like I'm preaching to tonight, They're preaching to tens
-
of thousands. How many have handled this word of life? David,
-
he said, it's right there, the hand of goodness and
-
the hand of mercy. I preached that message about distinguished Daniel,
-
and we talk about that chastening Rod and Habaccocks telling
-
them Brother Rocap It's coming, and Habaccics wanting to hear
-
from God like I've been saying, God, talk to me
-
about these three or four. They used to would have said, Pastor,
-
if you tell me to break it off, I'd break
-
it off right now.
-
Apostle Paul said, it used to be.
-
You'd pull your very own eye out, and you'd follow
-
I'm paraphrasing here, this is my commentary. You'd rely on
-
my vision for your life. It used to be that
-
you knew your heart's deceitful, You didn't even trust your
-
own feelings and emotions and interpretation. You'd have plucked your
-
eye and said Paul, I will follow you as long
-
as you follow Christ. After that great service Sunday night,
-
my wife and I turned off the lamp on our
-
nights sin and she flipped over and she kissed me
-
on the forehead as I just ached in my body
-
after preaching, and she said, good night, preacher. She rolled
-
over and went to sleep. But you know what she knew, Brother,
-
would she knew my night wasn't over. Good night, preacher.
-
My heart will continue to bleed when they backslide. Apostle
-
Paul talked about marks and his body talked about scars.
-
I wonder how many wounds my body bearing my body
-
to marks. I wonder every time my heart beats, the
-
shepherd's heart beats, if there ain't a squirt of my
-
own blood from the wounds of friends that I would
-
have loved to have helped faithful, or the uns of
-
a friend. But the kiss of the enemy is deceitful.
-
I'm gonna tell you there's a lot of people abandoning
-
holiness right now. Ultimately, it's sanctification and separation they're walking
-
away from. Why wouldn't God be offended back that when
-
he said, if any man loved the world, the love
-
of the Father is not an him. It's just as
-
plain as anything I've ever read or seen. Make it plain,
-
brother Nathaniel to him in the Sunday school class, Make
-
it plain.
-
Brother Vocap.
-
Rided upon the tables and posted on photo circle and say,
-
here's what God dealt with me about, so that the
-
messenger that reads it and the one that gets it.
-
I wonder if we had Sunday school lesson review you,
-
how many people could stand there and tell us what
-
their teacher is told on? For the vision is yet
-
for an appointed time. Since the how just had a
-
vision of a soldier. He appeared to be a Babylonian soldier,
-
and he was tightening the reins on a mighty steed.
-
And Brother Philip, there is no doubt that the Emperor
-
Neblicanzer told the Babylonian army make Red dead. In the
-
New Testament, the Book of Revelation, a white horse has
-
seen and years ago I had a vision of that
-
white horse pawing at the ground. And I preached in Ukraine,
-
and I said, God showed me hard times are coming
-
once more. Where I preached that at on a military
-
base in Ukraine. I said, I come to preach to
-
you soldiers, I said, I saw a white horse pawing
-
the ground. How don't want to be Jonah? How don't
-
want to build a temporary makeshift shanny shack to watch
-
the wrath of God fall on you? For he Saith,
-
I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in
-
the day of salutation and salvation, I have succored the
-
Behold now is the accepted time.
-
Behold now is the day of salvation.
-
It's true. God is merciful. It's really true. He allows
-
you to start over again. And I know there's two
-
that should have ran to this altar when the Holy
-
Ghost started moving on these prayer warriors. That's what you
-
have to learn to do is respond when the spirit
-
of God responds.
-
How would have you to respond?
-
The Book of Habacic ends with a message of hope.
-
But sister, how well the sad thing is even though
-
it ends with a message of hope. The Israelites Sabakk
-
preach to, and the prophet Habakk himself and also Jeremiah,
-
they would not live to see the Israelites released from
-
Babylonian captivity. It's true the Church will have revival again.
-
It's true he will pour out his blessings and spear
-
it again. But the question is will you live long
-
enough to see it?
-
Make it plain? Brother?
-
How speak it clearly, Brother Jeremy, okay, I will if
-
you must insist. If you don't pray through, you will
-
not live to see the blessings of God, sayth the Lord.
-
If you feel lad to pray with somebody, please do
-
so at this time. Keep it simple, Saint, the plainness principle.
-
And I want to ask this question for those that
-
struggle with vanity. Vanity of vanities, said the man of God,
-
the preacher, who had understanding in all things. But I
-
want to tell you, even the dogs that approached the
-
corpse of Jezebel didn't like the cosmetics. I'd rather be
-
an old time Christian than anything I know
