  1. Amen, if you have your Bibles with you, will you

  2. turn with me to the Book of Second Chronicles. Second Chronicles,

  3. Chapter number twenty five, Versus number eleven through sixteen. Brother

  4. Nathaniel Matthew, Chapter number twenty three, Verses number twenty seven

  5. and twenty eight, And Brother Jesse Salm, Chapter.

  6. Number one oh one in verse number two.

  7. All right, Second Chronicles, Chapter number twenty five, Verses number

  8. eleven through sixteen. Brother Nathaniel Matthew, Chapter number twenty three,

  9. Verses number twenty seven and twenty eight, My brother, Well,

  10. unto you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, for you are like

  11. under whited sepulchers, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are

  12. within full of dead men's bones and of all uncleanness.

  13. Even so ye.

  14. Also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are

  15. full of hypocrisy and iniquity. Is it that sad that

  16. Jesus would speak to the religious leaders of his day?

  17. There's something wrong on the inside. I want to preach

  18. a message the Holy Ghost titled living in a Genuine Transparency.

  19. Brother Jesse saw him chapter number one oh one, in

  20. verse number two.

  21. I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way.

  22. Oh, when wilt thou come unto me, I will walk

  23. within mine house with a perfect heart. He was willing

  24. to walk within his house, which means through various rooms

  25. of that house and behind different closed doors, and have

  26. a perfect heart inside of his own dwelling Second Chronicles,

  27. Chapter number twenty five, verses number eleven through sixteen. The

  28. Bible says, and Amaziah strengthened himself and led forth his people,

  29. and went to the valley of Salt, and smote of

  30. the children of Sea Air ten thousand and other ten

  31. thousand left alive. Did the children of Judah carry away captive,

  32. and brought them into the top of the rock, and

  33. cast them down from the top of the rock, that

  34. they all were broken in pieces. But the soldiers of

  35. the army which Amazi sent back that they should not

  36. go with him to battle, fell upon the cities of

  37. Judah from Samaria even unto beth Horan, and smote three

  38. thousand of them, and took much spoil. Now it came

  39. to pass after the Amazi was come from the slaughter

  40. of the Edomites, that he brought the gods of the

  41. children of Sea Air and set them up to be

  42. his gods, and bowed down himself before them, and burned

  43. incense unto them. Wherefore the anger of the Lord was

  44. kindled against Amaziah, and he sent unto him a prophet.

  45. God sent brother Nathaniel to some of you last Wednesday night.

  46. Wherefore the anger of the Lord was kindled against Amaziah,

  47. and he sent unto him a prophet, which said unto him,

  48. why hast thou sought after the gods of the people,

  49. which could not deliver their own people out of their hand?

  50. And it came to pass as he talked with him,

  51. that the king said it to him. Art thou made

  52. of the King's counsel for bear, Why shouldst thou be

  53. smitten than the prophet for bear? And said, I know

  54. that God hath determined to destroy thee, because thou hast

  55. done this, and hast not hearkened unto my counsel. Wow,

  56. let's pray, Heavenly Father. We love and we praise you.

  57. We thank you for the opportunity to be in your

  58. house tonight. I thank you for the way your spirit

  59. moved in this service as it was getting started. I

  60. thank you for the obedience of the musicians and the singers.

  61. I thank you for the way the preachers exhorted tonight.

  62. It was wonderful. Thank you for putting your word in

  63. their heart. I pray now that you would continue to

  64. put your word in my heart. Said, of God, have

  65. my mouth, and help me to say the things you

  66. would have me to say, nothing more or less, and

  67. nought the ears of this thy people, that they may

  68. hear what the Spirit of God says unto the church. Tonight,

  69. we pray God, let these sayings descend below them shoulders,

  70. Let them receive these words joyfully. Let them be hearers

  71. and doers of what you say to them.

  72. Tonight.

  73. We give you the praise and the honor and the glory.

  74. And may the Church depart this place joyfully and not

  75. sorrowly in Jesus's name. And the church said, Amen, as

  76. you're being seated, look at your neighbor and say, hey, neighbor,

  77. what does God know about you? Respond with this, what

  78. does God see you doing? We know God knows and

  79. sees all things. Praise the Lord. Our text is found

  80. in an Old Testament book of the Holy Bible. The

  81. Second Book of Chronicles is a biblical book. And I'm

  82. thankful for the chronicles that we find in this particular

  83. book of the Bible.

  84. It's an exciting read.

  85. In this particular book of the Bible, we find a

  86. lot about kings that did good in the sight of

  87. the Lord, and we can read a lot concerning some

  88. men that, for whatever reason, they chose to do evil

  89. in the side of the Lord. We will be focusing

  90. tonight on a certain biblical character name Amaziah. According to

  91. verse number one of chapter number twenty five, this man

  92. began to reign at twenty five years old. He took

  93. over one of the greatest nations in the world at

  94. the age of twenty five. Who in this building tonight

  95. is at that age twenty five? Who's at the age

  96. of twenty six, Sister Rachel. Could you imagine Sister Rachel

  97. being the wife of a twenty five year old that

  98. was holding the reins of great power to one of

  99. the powerful nations on the face of the earth. So

  100. there's no doubt at all that this man had the

  101. right court, he had the right cabinet, There's no doubt

  102. he had the right servants catering to his every whim,

  103. There's no doubt he had the right counselors. Because of

  104. the ancestors that had laid the foundation for government before him.

  105. And so we know that there came a time in

  106. his life when he was promoted from being a prince

  107. to becoming king, and with this promotion came a lot

  108. of responsibility and also authority. And the Bible indicates that

  109. he was a man right in the eyes of the Lord.

  110. And the Bible said, the eyes of the Lord are

  111. in every place, beholding the evil and the good. Now

  112. that's troubling to the evil doer, but to that one

  113. that does good when people are watching and when people

  114. are not watching, that is very comforting. Knowing that God

  115. sees what you're doing at all times is most comforting

  116. for the missionary that has fully committed himself to the

  117. work of God, or for the stay of home mom

  118. that is busy with a children on a day to

  119. day basis, or the single mom that's doing her very

  120. best to provide for her family. It's good to know

  121. that the eyes of the Lord are upon each and

  122. every one of us.

  123. And Brother Jesse, there's no doubt that the.

  124. Lord have been an eye of witness to the first

  125. twenty five years of this young man's life, and every person.

  126. In this building tonight.

  127. You need to remember that one day you're gonna be

  128. held accountable for every action you have taken, and for

  129. everything that you have said, and even the idle words

  130. that you are speaking of late. You're gonna give an

  131. account for that. And the Church said Amen. And so

  132. every aspect of this man's life and every action he

  133. was taken without anybody else knowing, Jesus Christ.

  134. Knew all about it.

  135. Jesus knew about his imperfections inwardly and outwardly, Brother Jesse.

  136. Jesus knew about his internal faults and failures. He knew

  137. about his failures within the government of the nation of Israom. Evidently,

  138. this young man had been raised up around the church

  139. people of his age. There's no doubt he was familiar

  140. with the House of God. He was familiar with a priest.

  141. He knew all about their office, he knew all about

  142. the ceremonial sacrifices that were required.

  143. And he had a lot of.

  144. Good and godly influences in his life before he was

  145. promoted as king. And the Bible said that what he

  146. had done up until.

  147. This time was right in the eyes of the Lord.

  148. The Lord could look upon with approval and say, without

  149. a doubt that is right. But if you look at

  150. the latter part of verse number two, there is a

  151. comma after the word the Lord, and the Bible said,

  152. but not with a perfect heart.

  153. And he did that which was right in.

  154. The sight of the Lord, but not with a perfect heart.

  155. Oh come on, now, there's about three or four of

  156. you in this building tonight. You know to do good,

  157. and you choose to do it, while some choose to

  158. not do so. But I want to preach to those

  159. tonight who outwardly appear to be doing and saying all

  160. of the right things. You have been trained in the

  161. way that you should go, and according to the natural eye,

  162. you have not deviated course. And for the most part

  163. of everybody in harmony could say they have not departed

  164. from this church into the present world. They're not like demons,

  165. they're not like judas. They have not yet done what

  166. was in their heart to do. I'm sure some of

  167. the people in the life of Amaziah were great examples

  168. of a godly person. And by the Caleb, he had

  169. every reason in the world for why he should have

  170. ended well and finished strong. But for some reason, even

  171. though outwardly he did not appear to leave the course

  172. or the path that they have set him on. There's

  173. something going on, and inside I've seen something that totally

  174. troubles me. It troubles my mind and spirits at times,

  175. and it is this. The next generation does not always

  176. choose to do the right thing. Not every person in

  177. every church that I've ever attended has done the right

  178. thing all ways. There's been some that have done the

  179. right thing for a long time, and then after seemingly

  180. doing the right thing for a long time, then they

  181. take a hard turn and go and do the unthinkable

  182. and the unimaginable, because it had been in their heart

  183. to all along to do so. So. Not every person

  184. raised in church has remained in the house of God.

  185. We see this to be so in the days of

  186. the King of Israel. We see them doing good, and

  187. then we see them choosing to do bad. We see

  188. some doing bad and others choosing to do good. Brother

  189. rod Cap, you and Sister road Cap have learned better

  190. than to assume your children will put their feet in

  191. the footprints of their daddy and their precious sweet mommy.

  192. They've got several children, and it has yet to be

  193. seen if every one of them, road Cap children, We'll

  194. finish strong and end up well, Sister how And I

  195. can tell you of times when we saw our children

  196. making decisions that would impact their lives in either a

  197. positive or negative way. The only thing we could do

  198. during those times was still away and enter our own

  199. private prayer causets and ask the Lord to give us

  200. the wisdom that we needed in order to provide guidance, instruction,

  201. and direction to keep them from making shipwreck of their

  202. Livesome with the row Cap family and the Howell family,

  203. we can say without a doubt Jesus Christ has been

  204. the centerpiece of our family's life. And the same thing

  205. could be said about Amaziah and his father Joe Asham.

  206. God had put the right men in the right places,

  207. in the respective positions at the right time, Brother Jesah,

  208. for such a time as them living and dwelling within

  209. the kingdom. But they overlooked these golden opportunities to embrace

  210. exactly what God was trying to do for them. So

  211. let me say something to every prayerent in this building,

  212. especially the ministers. Your children are to be your greatest

  213. mission field. Your children are to be your greatest mission field.

  214. The first part of this chapter seemingly describes some of

  215. the young people in our Pentecostal and Holiness churches.

  216. They are tender branches off the chute.

  217. They are very humble, even meek souls, Brother Nathaniel, some

  218. of them and our company den are very precious. But

  219. some of the parents also in this building have been

  220. that way as well. And to some of the kids

  221. and some of the parents of late, we have been

  222. preaching and telling them that there is a pride surfacing

  223. for whatever reason, it is coming out on the exterior.

  224. You can see their inability to really commit themselves and

  225. their ways to the Lord.

  226. You can see their inability.

  227. To sacrifice theirself on the altar and to give everything

  228. to God. You consists that there is something they are

  229. holding on to. And pride does not always elevate somebody

  230. to a prominent place or position. Pride does not always

  231. bringing Amazi to the throne. Sometimes pride will take a

  232. prodigal son to the pig pin. Do you know why

  233. the prodigal son was able to escape dining with a swine?

  234. It's because he humbled himself. And Brother Nathaniel, I feel

  235. like there's a handful of people in this building. It's

  236. some that listen regularly. You're about to have of fall.

  237. We know that pride comes before destruction and a hearty

  238. spirit before a fall. So we see at the age

  239. of twenty five and Mazziah comes to power and brother

  240. Jesse for twenty nine years, he reigns in Jerusalem according

  241. to the word of God. Brother Nathanielitch seems like God

  242. is with him. And at some point, though, Brother philipp

  243. he gets in a bad situation, and he does, like

  244. a lot of people in the Pentecostal and Holiness churches do,

  245. including some in this building.

  246. They look good on the outside.

  247. They know how to put in their prayer request, They

  248. know how to come forward to the altar, they know

  249. how to say, please pray for me. They seemingly humble themselves,

  250. but when they walk away, they're still sucking up in

  251. the interior.

  252. That is not God right.

  253. Second Chronicles twenty five and verse number two again it says,

  254. and he did that which was right in the sight

  255. of the Lord, but not with a perfect heart.

  256. And that can translate to.

  257. Not wholeheartedly loyal, not with a wholeheartedly devotion, not wholeheartedly committed,

  258. not folly totally, absolutely surrendered. Oh come on, now, how

  259. could it appear to anybody that he's doing wrong? From

  260. the outside, Nobody could put a finger on what this

  261. man is doing wrong. In fact, at some point he

  262. is in a crisis and he goes and he says,

  263. we need to pray, we need to get a.

  264. Hold of God.

  265. And God sends him word that he can have the victory.

  266. And brother Philip, he goes out to battle and he

  267. wins the victory. And you know what happens. He takes

  268. that victory and turns it into the worst cursor of

  269. his life. For those of you that paid attention while

  270. we were reading the scriptures during the reading of our

  271. Golden Text, you will notice that they won the battle,

  272. but they took the idols of their enemies, and they

  273. brought them into their camp, and they set them up

  274. and they worshiped them. I want to tell somebody in

  275. this building, you are not living in a genuine transparency.

  276. I heard the Holy Girl speaker that phrase and expression

  277. into my heart today. For some reason, you want what

  278. you can get from the Lord, but you don't really

  279. want to focus on the Lord. Amaz I wanted to

  280. be king amaz I wanted to be a affiliated and

  281. associated with the people of God Amaz.

  282. I wanted to be near where the preacher had a

  283. hold of it. He wanted to be near.

  284. Where the priest was offering the ceremonial sacrifice. He wanted

  285. to put in his prayer request. He wanted to seem

  286. to be praying. He wanted to laguer around the altar.

  287. But there was something inside of his heart. He was

  288. not loyal, he was not committed, he was not fully surrendered.

  289. Once again, I will preach through this affliction. Once again,

  290. I will preach through this sickness and try my best

  291. to help somebody in this building tonight. There are people

  292. in this building and in holiness of Pentecostal churches. They

  293. are living in a genuine transparency. They are see through.

  294. I have seen certain with my own eyes that are

  295. so transparent that I could see their interls, I could

  296. see their little organs working. I've looked at their digestive

  297. track function. I've seen little tiny hearts beat looking through

  298. those transparent fish and Brother Jesse, But there's some though

  299. I've seen it through the years. They will cover their sin.

  300. The Bible said they that cover their sin shall not prosper,

  301. but whosover confesseth and forsake them shall find mercy. It's

  302. been a few months ago since I preached that message,

  303. not covered but cleanse And what you need to do

  304. is come to the altar and ask God to create

  305. in you a clean heart. God, would you renew in

  306. that person I'm preaching to tonight a right spirit. You're

  307. so busy do it like King Saul did when he

  308. snuck off to see the witch.

  309. You're living your life under a covering.

  310. I want you to know a lot of people have

  311. covered themselves with holiness attire. They built around themselves families

  312. they're seeming the families of God. They've wit to churches.

  313. We're greater knowing men of God preached. But somehow, some way,

  314. they went through service after service and never got that

  315. heart fixed. The Sima said of my heart is fixed,

  316. O God, my heart is fixed. We're about to go

  317. into a season her revival. Why don't you get it

  318. fixed with God? Tonight? Not wholeheartedly, loyal brother Jesse, my

  319. heart broke today as God reached for him one more

  320. time before I destroy them. And when you read the

  321. context of our text, it ends with destruction. The only

  322. thing that amazon had going for him was he had

  323. an appearance that he was doing good, and people followed

  324. him because of the exterior and because of the position

  325. in the placement where he had himself at Sister, Howell,

  326. I feel this. I can tell you know. I got

  327. a hold of it here tonight. Let me say something

  328. to every person.

  329. In this building.

  330. If you get nervous in any Holiness or Pentecostal church

  331. when a preacher takes the text, you have heart issues.

  332. The Bible said that a wicked fleeth when no man pursues.

  333. I've seen people before start sweating profusely and their hearts

  334. start racing because the lawman pulled up behind them, And

  335. everybody wondered, what is the cause of this panic? Why

  336. is this person so upset? Why are they so alarmed?

  337. And then you inquire and say why are you so troubled?

  338. And they say, well, my registration's expired by tag is

  339. out of date, and I have no automobile insurance. That

  340. is every reason for why somebody should get a little

  341. uneasy in a situation like that. And I'm asking you

  342. a question here tonight, why oh why do you go

  343. through service after service hearing.

  344. The Holy girst? Ask that holy.

  345. Police officer right outsideations and all but hand them to

  346. you as you in there and say amen, and she

  347. sit there and nod your head up and down. I'm

  348. telling you Amasiah did not have the outward appearance of

  349. a pagan king. He was not a king of a

  350. pagan Nason. You don't look like the drunker tonight. You

  351. don't look like her the thief tonight. You don't look

  352. like him, the sinner tonight. But tomorrow could be different,

  353. I said, tomorrow could be different if you don't get

  354. that heart fixed. Amen, I don't plan to hold you

  355. along here tonight, Brother Nathaniel. When I think about Amazon's

  356. father who had served as king of Israel before him,

  357. Brother Roquet, there was a time a sister Hell and

  358. I considered naming one of our boys joe Ash and

  359. after some of the things that he did to that

  360. man that had caused his life to be spared. I

  361. believe it was around the age of seven whenever Joe

  362. Ash was protected by Jehoiadah, and Jehoah did what he

  363. could do to secure the kingdom and the kingship for

  364. joe Ash and brother Jesse.

  365. Jehoah was right there with the young seven.

  366. Year old as he became a man, The young seven

  367. year old was mentored and guided by such a wonderful

  368. man of God. It's looking familiar, isn't it. You're starting

  369. to get what I'm preaching here tonight. Some of you

  370. have had some great pastors, You've had some great parents,

  371. You've pad some great mentors, and they have literally trained

  372. you up in the way that you should go. And

  373. you know just enough about religion to begous, as deadly

  374. and as dangerous as the Pharisees whom Jesus addressed. It's

  375. called her hypocrisy. The hypocrisy in your life must be

  376. blinding to Jesus, the one that Caesar all things well.

  377. As Joe Asher got older and for whatever reason, he

  378. decided to kill the children of Jehoada, he decided to

  379. kill the children of his mentor, the priest, the good

  380. man of God, his instructor, the one that secured the

  381. very kingdom for him. I'm telling you about a good

  382. man that whip bad And I refused to name one

  383. of my boys after that good man that done such

  384. an atrocity to a good man, I said, I refused

  385. to name my son after that bad man that did

  386. such a bad thing to that dead man. You're still

  387. gonna pretend to play church though, You're still gonna go

  388. through the mechanics and the emotions. Joe Ash, you taught

  389. Amazi some bad things, you dirty dog. Your son's in

  390. the shape he's in right now because of some of

  391. the things you done. Are you all listening to me?

  392. In the back of Amazi's mind is my daddy. Joe

  393. Ash was murdered because of what he did to Jehoahah's sons,

  394. because of what he did to that good man's family.

  395. Hey, if you would.

  396. The vigilantes got a crowd together and they executed Joe Ash.

  397. Amazon descended to the throne, but it wasn't without heartship

  398. up and without consequence, and the damage had been done.

  399. And the damage had been done.

  400. I've seen moms and fathers, Oh come on now, preachers

  401. and ministers, song leaders, Sunday school teachers. They come to

  402. church and they act one way, but when they go

  403. home they act in a different way. And Joe Ashen,

  404. it doesn't take but a few years for everybody to

  405. realize you weren't exactly who you said you were, You murderer, Oh, come.

  406. On, now, you thief, you were not who you said

  407. you were. Sama's eye. He's gonna play the part.

  408. He's gonna be churchy, he's gonna do everything right, and

  409. God Almighty is gonna say that's right, buddy. On the surface,

  410. on the surface, it's standards and it's gospel music when

  411. everybody's talking about Southern gospel music. On the surface, it's

  412. praise the Lord. I believe, I feel the Holy Ghost.

  413. And in the middle of Pentecostal worship, you're jumping and

  414. you're running around in the.

  415. Midst of the excitement.

  416. But I want to ask you who you are whenever

  417. God only is watching? Who are you when only God

  418. is watching? And I want you to know He is watching.

  419. And Brother Nathaniel, I'd already got eighty percent through with

  420. my study when I realize just how hand in g love.

  421. This connects with the message you preached last Wednesday night

  422. that I was not here to listen to. But Sister

  423. weove God yet again is speaking to somebody and telling them,

  424. be sure your sin will find you out. What you

  425. do in darkness shall be brought to light. What you

  426. whisper to your son, He will take the action in

  427. the street the words you whisper the family.

  428. It will come out. I said it.

  429. We we're without a shadow with doubt it will come out.

  430. Parents struggle with country music. Somehow the son knows the

  431. lyrics to every song. Parents that justify listening to love

  432. songs by country music artists in moderation in front of

  433. their family, because sin has a way of creeping out,

  434. sometimes in the unexpected of moments, sometimes just s in

  435. a fellowship, Paul, when a pastor sitting with a church

  436. and somebody gets a little bit off kilter, and somebody

  437. gets a little bit carnal, and they talk about a

  438. song that Jelly roll sang. Are y'all listening? And I

  439. look at them and say, who in the world is

  440. Jelly Roll? I remember loving jelly Rolls in high school.

  441. I remember getting them as a snack in this cafeteria.

  442. But who is jelly And pastor realizes this is a

  443. parent of one of the people in our church, And

  444. somehow he knows the lyrics of a song that's seeminglyss

  445. religious that Jelly Role has sang somewhere. And then you realize,

  446. wait a minute, this man habitually listens to country music. Oh,

  447. come on now, or are you listening to me here tonight?

  448. I'm telling you it shouldn't meet. At every revival there's

  449. somebody it's the same somebody praying through carnal things. They're

  450. still fighting the same things. They're still struggling in the

  451. same way. I'm here to tell you tonight. If they're

  452. frequent in this altar, every time something has preached they

  453. have a heart issue. I said, they are a monster internally.

  454. I said they are a monster internally. It's always been

  455. the case. You can choose not to prepare your heart

  456. for revival, but it's evident we're going to revival, and

  457. I'm attempting to take you there with us.

  458. Every time over a.

  459. Period of three, four and five years, when the preaching

  460. gets taught and right like it is tonight, like it

  461. was last Wednesday night when Brother Nathaniel was preaching. If

  462. they're the first one in the altar and they teary

  463. and they don't pray through, and they keep doing that habitually, invertedly, repeatedly,

  464. there is something bad on the inside. I said, there's

  465. something bad wrong on the inside. I wish I wasn't sick,

  466. where I could really have the air I need to

  467. preach it the way I feel it. I have a

  468. burden to tell you here tonight. You don't stop that

  469. you're gonna lose your son. One of you has already

  470. done it, because I have taught you people that body

  471. language speaks louder than words. And you can google that

  472. and see seventy percent of communication is body language. Some

  473. people say, possibly even more than that. You don't have

  474. to let anybody hear your prayer. But whenever you come

  475. to church and repeatedly in your righteous attire, in your

  476. holy attire, Amazi, and you pray and say, God, I

  477. need this victory. I need to pay raise. I need

  478. to be able to provide for my family. I need

  479. God to save my children. I need God to save

  480. my wife. I need God to save my family. And

  481. repeatedly you do that, and your body language speaks I'm

  482. not holy loyal, I'm not wholeheartedly committed, I'm not devoted.

  483. I'm not sold out. Hey, I'm not asking you to

  484. be sold out to Jeremy Howell. Your problem is not

  485. with a Bethel Holiness church. Your problem is God. Your

  486. problem is a rebellion of God's word. Your problem is self.

  487. And I will prove that in this message here tonight.

  488. Your problem is your selfishness. I've seen people before so

  489. full of pride, and you look at them and say,

  490. what do you have to be prideful over? The Bible

  491. said you did run? Well, who did hinder you? What

  492. happened you took to turn that song on to see

  493. what Jelly Roll saying, just because somebody want a Grammy

  494. doesn't mean you need to know the lyrics of the

  495. song since the how And I was sitting in a

  496. restaurant about a year ago and there was this most

  497. depressing song and so discouraging, and Brother Jesse, to be

  498. honest with you, it almost seemed like he was just

  499. telling people to give up.

  500. And the lyrics went something like this.

  501. I don't really know, but it said something like I

  502. smoke to find consolation and comfort. I drank to find

  503. my peace, don't judge me. And then basically he saved

  504. me or something. And I've never heard my wife say

  505. anything like this in thirty something years of marriage. She

  506. looked at me, she said, Jeremy, ever since I got saved,

  507. I don't hear these lyrics. I don't pay any attention

  508. to these songs, she said, but what is that. There's

  509. a demonic, depressive spirit behind that. And when that song

  510. went off, they said, that's the new featured artist Jelly

  511. Roll and Brother Jesse. I realized he had just enough truth,

  512. an element of truth in them lyrics to relate to

  513. the hypocrite, to give somebody that's looking for an opportunity

  514. to connect with the world. Oh come on now, Amazon,

  515. you praying and asking God and pretending like you need victory,

  516. pretending like you.

  517. Need a blessing from God. You can even quote it

  518. my help coming from the Lord.

  519. But when God gives you a blessing, you turn it

  520. into a cursing. When God blesses you, when God delivers

  521. you from your enemies, you bring your enemies idols into

  522. the house of Kaida into your house. That is the

  523. spirit of Acan, I said, that is the spirit of Acan.

  524. They talk about them Babylonian garments being good garments. There

  525. was nothing in the world good about a witch of

  526. gold or garment to come from the world spirit. In

  527. the sight of God. It was right in the sight

  528. of God. But not with a perfect heart. You know

  529. why some preachers preaching you never to take the anointing

  530. because they're not preaching through right heart. They can quote

  531. the Bible, they can quote chapter and verse, and it's

  532. absence of the anointing. I've seen men before pray for

  533. a wife, and they get a wife and they lead

  534. them to the world. I've seen women pray for a husband,

  535. and they get a husband, they let him lead her

  536. to the world.

  537. My Jesus, you're not getting it, are you.

  538. Some watch in life, and some in this building of

  539. seventy five to eighty two, or three in this building

  540. of seventy five to eighty In three.

  541. Years, you won't be here.

  542. Joe ash got murdered because people disapproved of his actions.

  543. God had nothing to do with that. His own actions

  544. got him in trouble. His own wrongdoings got him in trouble.

  545. You're wrongdoings are gonna come back to haunt you. I

  546. remember being a young dad, and I remember thinking, man,

  547. I better pray some of these things through. Because there's

  548. a smart little Jeremiah sitting there watching me and sister him,

  549. and Jeremiah knew if Daddy's needing to go pray, I'm

  550. glad I went to go pray. I'm glad you come

  551. to pray. Three to five times is enough thirty to fifty.

  552. Somebody's got a major monster in there. Somewhere, there's some

  553. kind of major heart issue. Pray it through. Now, let's

  554. go over there and pray for somebody else. I am

  555. for humbling yourself with saying God forgive me. That's what

  556. David did. That's what others did in the Bible. And

  557. you know what the Bible said. David had a heart

  558. after the Lord. David said, I will walk within my

  559. house with a perfect heart. I will set no wicked

  560. thing before mine eyes. What he's saying is, I can

  561. do whatever I walk to behind closed door, within the

  562. walls of my house, whether it be a little shack

  563. in the fields of Bethlehem or whether it be in

  564. the back room of the palace. I can't continue to

  565. do wrong in my house. You don't have to struggle

  566. with the same sin week after week, year after year.

  567. You can fast and pray. Some of these things will

  568. never go away until you figure out you have to

  569. fast and pray. Does nobody fast anymore. That's how attitudes

  570. were changed, that's how spirits were altered through much faster

  571. than prayer. In fact, Jesus was about to go up

  572. to as sind unto his father. And this is not

  573. in my notes, and I need a holy ghost to

  574. help me. But he took three men with him, Peter,

  575. James and John and those other ones. Stay down there

  576. at the foot of the mountain. And down there at

  577. the foot of the mountain, the disciples, who once had

  578. power to cast out devils, pray for the afflicted, and

  579. pray for the sick, and then be healed and delivered.

  580. They are powerless. They're unable to cast out the devil.

  581. And that father that brought that child to them disciples

  582. at the foot of the mountain got frustrated and walked

  583. away from them and went found Jesus and them disciples

  584. the sighted to trail Jesus and that father on up

  585. the mountain. And Jesus looked at him, and he said,

  586. if you had just had faith, has the grain of

  587. a mustard seed, you could speak to the mountain.

  588. It's coming to me right now.

  589. He was climbing a mountain, and he uses the faith

  590. as the grain of a mustard seed. I mean, if

  591. you just obey God with a little bit of faith

  592. as the grain of a mustard seed, you talking about

  593. a bowling alley, One little grain of a mustard seed

  594. can knock your mountains down.

  595. Faith has the grain.

  596. Of a mustard seed would knock your mountains down. These

  597. kinds go not forth but by prayer and fasting. Well,

  598. I have anger issues. You fast and pray, and you

  599. say no to little Debbie, and you say no to

  600. King little Caesar, and you tell hungry howay kidee behind me,

  601. and you take long horn by the horn, and you

  602. push that steak out of the way, you push that

  603. plate back, and you overcome. I said, you can roll

  604. over mountains with a little crane.

  605. Of mustard seed. I just heard it.

  606. Sounded like a spiritual bowling alley, Brother Jesse, some God

  607. in them disciples heart where they weren't.

  608. Looking at Jesus to do it.

  609. Apparently they were trying to do it.

  610. Just a few chapters prayer.

  611. They were able to cast out deaths, they were able

  612. to raise the dead, they were able to heal the sea.

  613. What's going on now? Their faith is waping. You know

  614. what happens when you beat this altar up? Service at

  615. their service, at the service, your little child's faith is waping.

  616. Mulling over mountains with mustard seeds, moving mountains with mustard seeds,

  617. Jesus standing on a mountain, Sister Wotna, I'm their struggles

  618. and their addictions and their habits. Whatever's making God say

  619. their heart is not right. Whatever's making God say, on

  620. the outward, you are flawless.

  621. On the outward, On.

  622. The exterior, you're impeccable, mister Pharisee, mister member of the

  623. Pentecostal Church, mister member of the Holiness Church. On the exterior,

  624. you're impeccable. But Jesus said, inwardly you are full of

  625. dead men's bones. What's going on? Why can't we pray

  626. it through? Ask an analysis the fire? About that they

  627. had the nerve to come into a Holy roller meeting

  628. in the middle of a revival where the Holy Fire

  629. is falling down out of the glory world, and they

  630. come in there and offer something to Peter. And Peter said,

  631. is this your offering? And they say, yes, this is

  632. the offering.

  633. This is the.

  634. Offering you from that land transaction, that land deal, this

  635. is all of it.

  636. Oh, yes, this is all of it.

  637. And Peter said, he didn't say, how is it that

  638. you to have agreed to lie to me?

  639. He said, you too have lied to the Holy Ghost.

  640. You realize your lying to God. I felt that you realize.

  641. You're lying to God when you come to this altar

  642. and say, I will never listen.

  643. To that trash again.

  644. I haven't had to preach on these lines for a

  645. long time, but you know what it is. I figured

  646. out why you're a moobsterpoking.

  647. To my heart. Told me what you're doing. Pray for

  648. me church.

  649. It's true, after a great victory, when he should have

  650. been praising God in spirit and in truth and in

  651. prayer and so on, he should have been worshiping the

  652. Lord's sister wooting, we find him confiscating the idols of

  653. his enemies and setting them up and choosing to worship

  654. them instead. Last night, God said, there'll be somebody listening

  655. to you that will commit suicide if they don't pray

  656. through not maybe will. I told some of you that's

  657. surfing that internet and just watching what other churches are

  658. doing is going to kill you spiritually, because you'll develop

  659. a mentality where they're doing it, they're getting by with it.

  660. It must be okay. It might take three to five

  661. years to get an elder in a church. But I

  662. remember a few years ago when that woman from a

  663. holiness church not too far from here. She showed up

  664. and she come running in that night. And when she

  665. come running in, I said, where have you been? I said,

  666. three days ago? The Holy Ghost fell on me and

  667. I started praying for you, and God said you were

  668. in trouble. She no, sooner got right here. We praised

  669. this to how you remember, she shouted all over the place.

  670. I said, my troubles are rolled away. This is what

  671. I needed. I come all this way to get help.

  672. But she turned and went back from whence she came.

  673. Two or three years later, she showed up again, this

  674. time without me being notified of the Holy ghost. She

  675. sat on the back pew, come out of a Holiness

  676. church in this part of the country. And one night

  677. one of our preachers was preaching against homosexuality. And she

  678. went to dinner with my wife and I and she

  679. told me personally. She said, I didn't like him labeling sinners.

  680. I said, well, I know where you came from, they

  681. may not do that, but here we're not afraid to

  682. name sin. And then she piped up and she said, well,

  683. I like to hear this one and this one sing

  684. as much as this one, and this one and Sister Hannah.

  685. They was just as world as they could be. And

  686. that woman come to church here and one particular morning,

  687. I will never forget it. We had three rows of

  688. pews at that time, about right here in the same

  689. spot she had shouted before she broke, and she prayed,

  690. and the spirit of God spoke to me and said,

  691. that spirit that's been on her while she's attending, that

  692. of the church has left, and she now has the

  693. right spirit. She had a different countenance, she had a

  694. different appearance. She did not have a different exterior, because

  695. in the exterior she'd looked good. She looked like a

  696. holiness woman, but nobody knew the interior issues or the

  697. interior struggles. And then she got on the phone with

  698. some of her former church people and Sister Kathy. She

  699. started going back and visiting and trying to find somewhere

  700. where she was comfortable. And they told me, now she

  701. despises holiness, and that woman lived holiness.

  702. For probably thirty years.

  703. That woman lived holiness in the midst of struggles. So

  704. she went back, she went back to where I don't know.

  705. I didn't give her any grief about it. She sent

  706. a text and said I'm going back, and I said, okay, great,

  707. it was goodwhilee lasted. We loved having you part of

  708. our church family. People were looking at her exterior and

  709. they had no idea what was going on on the inside.

  710. But here at Bethel, God had dealt with Pastor that

  711. she was struggling awfully internally, and I knew if she

  712. don't park it, and she don't humble herself, and she

  713. don't tarry, she's.

  714. Going to lose out.

  715. And I'm talking to somebody that will listen to this

  716. in the days ahead, and somebody in this building. Joe

  717. ash went from being a good young man to killing

  718. the very one that secured the kingdom.

  719. Brother Jesse.

  720. Wouldn't it be an awful thing to see Brother Caleb

  721. start hating Brother Roquat with a passion. When them little

  722. things get in your heart, you better kill them little things.

  723. When them little foxes starting nipping at the vine, husbands

  724. and wives, your children start struggling and straying, you better

  725. such your house in order. And dads and moms, the

  726. only thing you can do is walk up brightly before

  727. your Lord and be honest and humble, and say, God,

  728. we need your mercy. Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that

  729. which is within the cup and the flatter, that the

  730. outside may be clean. Also, woe and do you scribes

  731. and Pharisees hypocrites for year like white a suffolchers, which

  732. indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead

  733. men's bones and of all uncleanness. King Amazi of the

  734. Old Testament was just like these Pharisees of the New Estimate.

  735. There was internal issues. The eyes of Jesus saw how

  736. they appeared a perfect to everyone else, but underneath there

  737. was not a perfect heart. And I want to close

  738. with this, both Amazon and the Pharisees they meet the

  739. description of some of Paul's writings about certain men. He

  740. warned young Timothy of it. He said, for men.

  741. Shall be lovers of their own selves. Is that you.

  742. Covetous boasters, proud blasphemers, disobedient to parents?

  743. Is that you.

  744. Unthankful, unholy without natural affection? Is that you false accusers,

  745. incontinent fears, despisers of those that are good traders, heady,

  746. high minded, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God.

  747. Notice this, having a form of God in but denying

  748. the power thereof.

  749. They go to church.

  750. They get their little families together and they go to church,

  751. and some of them teach Sunday school, and some of

  752. them young people go into the youth class and they

  753. sing in the youth group. But nobody detects there's something

  754. wrong internally. It's true. Jesus looks on the heart. And

  755. that's why brother Nathaniel preached like he did last Wednesday night.

  756. And that's why the Holy Ghost interrupted the direction I

  757. was going in and put me on this path tonight.

  758. Samuel told Jesse and the brothers of David. He said,

  759. the Lord don't look on the stature. The Lord didn't

  760. taken a measuring tape and measuring the length of the

  761. garment and the link to that man, and the heights

  762. and the height of that lady. God already knows their measurements.

  763. God already knows what's too short, what's too long, what's

  764. too immodest. God knows all that. But what God sees

  765. that nobody else sees is what's in here. And I

  766. want to ask you a question, are you really about

  767. to go through another revival which potentially will be our

  768. greatest revival? Because you all know what we have felt

  769. tonight up until this sober message. Are you really gonna

  770. miss your opportunity to really become stable and rooted and grounded.

  771. If anybody loved people, it was Jesus, and Jesus the

  772. Bible say, for God so loved the world that he

  773. gave his only begotten son, Jesus loved Judas. But Judas

  774. had his own agenda, and you have your own agenda,

  775. and Amazi had his own agenda. I don't care what

  776. God said about idolatry. God gave you the victory. Amazi.

  777. You ought to destroy them idols. No, I got a blessing.

  778. Just because God kisses this service with his approval doesn't

  779. mean he kissed you on the cheek. Judas, are y'all

  780. with me? If you're not loyal to your church family

  781. and loyal to the ministers in this church that are

  782. giving up hours on end to preach to you, I

  783. doubt you're loyal to the Lord. I doubt you're walking

  784. through your house with a perfect heart and behaving yourself wisely.

  785. Brother Nathaniel, I wish I had more strength. It's your temple.

  786. I understand that it's your heart. I get it your house,

  787. You're right, and God knows all about what's going on

  788. inside God's eye, see what nobody else has sees.

  789. Mm hmm
