  1. I sure and thankful to be in the house of

  2. the Lord tonight. I'm thankful for the presence of God,

  3. the presence of the Holy Ghost that we felt thus far.

  4. Amen.

  5. I believe God's got some more things in store tonight.

  6. Amen.

  7. I believe God's got Amen, something for each one of

  8. us to take home.

  9. Amen, myself included. And Amen.

  10. I feel like if we ever get to the place

  11. where we come through those back doors and are satisfied

  12. without taking anything extra than we came, if it's good stuff,

  13. a lot of people will go out those doors and

  14. take back things they should have never taken. They should

  15. have brought them to the altar. But I'm the type

  16. of guy, you know. I want to come hungry every

  17. single service. And I just love the Lord tonight. And

  18. I want to say I do miss our Pastor, our

  19. first lady here at Bethel. I want to say I

  20. appreciate the opportunity that the Pastor's given us here tonight,

  21. and I pray that the Lord just help us.

  22. And I do desire y'all's prayers. We'll be looking over there.

  23. In Exodus, chapter number seventeen, the first verse through the

  24. fourth verse, right there, it says in all the congregation

  25. of the children of visual journey from the wilderness of

  26. sin after their journeys according to the commandment of the Lord,

  27. and pitched in refdem and there was no water for

  28. the people to drink. Wherefore the people did child with

  29. Moses and said, give us water that we may drink.

  30. And Moses said, unto them, why child ye with me?

  31. Wherefore do ye tempt the Lord? And the people thirsted

  32. there for water. And the people murmured against Moses and said,

  33. wherefore is this that thou hast brought us out up

  34. out of Egypt to kill us and our children and

  35. our cattle with thirst? And Moses cried unto the Lord, saying,

  36. what shall I do unto this people? They be almost

  37. ready to stone me. The Lord will help us tonight.

  38. I want to preach on just for a little bit

  39. more to do than murmur. And let's pray right here

  40. to not Dear God, would you please us help us?

  41. Lord?

  42. Would it's your holy name, Lord, God annoying us? God,

  43. help us Lord to do what you would have us

  44. to do.

  45. Lord.

  46. Tonight, God, God, we do desire the prayers. God.

  47. We thank you, Lord for everything You've done in this

  48. seventeenth chapter of Exodus, we find where the children of

  49. Visual journeyed from the wilderness of sin after their journeys,

  50. they pitched and refled them. The meaning of this place

  51. reffled on me is rest stays or resting place. So

  52. they would have they would have been coming in for

  53. a place of rest right here after journeying. We all

  54. know how that story is. It's such an up and

  55. down story if you roller coaster. But they came in

  56. hoping that they would find a little bit of rest,

  57. and no doubt they would have been a man parched

  58. from the journey they had been traveling on. And they began,

  59. if you would, a little bit, just to get aggravated

  60. at Moses right there, because when they come in there's

  61. no water there. But after if you think about all

  62. the times that they had already God had already helped

  63. them and spared them and sustained them, you'll find over

  64. there in the book of the same book o there

  65. in Exodus, chapter thirteen, there begins the exodus right there.

  66. And from the beginning of this exodus to the place

  67. they were at now, it was just the pure grace

  68. and mercies of God poured out on them that they

  69. made it to this place thus far. In the twenty

  70. first verse of chapter thirteen, it says, then the Lord

  71. went before them by day in a pillar of a

  72. cloud to lead them the way, and by night in

  73. a pillar of fire to get of them light to

  74. go to go by day and night. And he took

  75. away the pillar of cloud by day, nor the pillar

  76. of fire.

  77. By night from the people.

  78. And what a wonderful thing to know, Amen, that you

  79. just come out of a horrible place such as Egypt,

  80. but you still got the hand of God godd in

  81. you directing you night or day twenty four to seven.

  82. Amen.

  83. Truly it was just the beginning of great things, Amen,

  84. that took place in their lives. And just moving on,

  85. I'm trying to lay a foundation and I'll get to

  86. where I'm going. In the fourteenth chapter, Pharaoh and his

  87. army began to pursue them. In the twenty first verse,

  88. God uses Moses to part the Red Sea by stretching

  89. his hand over the sea. Now, verse twenty two reads

  90. like this, And the children of Israel went into the

  91. midst of the sea upon the dry ground, and the

  92. waters were a wall unto them on their right, and

  93. unto their left. That is an experience we're shouting over

  94. right there.

  95. Amen.

  96. If we were to experience that right now, I believe

  97. every single one of us in here tonight would have

  98. a fit.

  99. Amen. We would have a we would have a worship

  100. service right there. Amen.

  101. But just a few verses later, it gets better. A

  102. few verses later, Amen, Moses stretches out his hand once again.

  103. Amen. And when Pharaoh and his army came into the sea. Amen.

  104. God used Pharaoh to stretch his hand over the sea. Amen. Amen.

  105. And the sea but closed up. Amen.

  106. And at that time, Amen, the children of visual knew, Hey,

  107. that's another big thing eliminating for us.

  108. Right there, Pharaoh. Amen.

  109. All the people they used to beat us, all the

  110. people Amen, back in Egypt, they're destroyed. We ain't gotta

  111. worry about them now, Amen. And at that time, it

  112. was easy for them to lift up their voices Amen,

  113. and sing a song of praise and worship God Amen,

  114. from their heart.

  115. Amen.

  116. I believe every single one of them Amen, at that

  117. time had a song to lift up. I believe all

  118. of them, Amen, had a heart of worship.

  119. Amen.

  120. Because of what took place. And right here, it says

  121. in verse number one, that would be over in the

  122. I believe. The fifteenth chapter says, then sang Moses and

  123. the children of visual this song unto the Lord, and

  124. spake saying, I will sing unto the Lord, for he

  125. hath triumphed gloriously, the horse and his rider.

  126. Hath he thrown into the seam. Amen.

  127. I believe at this point in time, really, there wasn't

  128. one single person standing there idol or doing anything.

  129. Amen. Amen. I believe they were all had their mind

  130. on God. Amen. And all of them, amen, were worshiping.

  131. And you look over there.

  132. And verse number twenty of the same chapter says a Merriam,

  133. the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in

  134. her hand, and all the women went out after her

  135. with timbrels and with dance. So right there Amen is

  136. another point Amen, where I believe all of them were

  137. out there worship is said, and the women was with her.

  138. That would have been the women Amen.

  139. Amen, that had came through the Red Sea, Amen, when

  140. it was parting.

  141. Amen.

  142. And truly this shows us in these two verses. Amen,

  143. it's easy to serve God for them.

  144. Amen. When times are going good. Amen. It was easy

  145. for them to serve God. Amen.

  146. If you would amen, when things are going good, Amen,

  147. when you know Pharaoh's body's floating out in the sea, Amen,

  148. and all the horses amen from the taskmasters are floating

  149. out in the sea, you ain't got to worry about

  150. them pursuing you.

  151. It was an easy time for them to worship at

  152. that point. Amen.

  153. But right after their time of worshiping praise, they go

  154. back into the wilders, and they went three days with

  155. no water. And then when they finally did come into

  156. a place called marm, the waters were bitter and they

  157. could not drink of them.

  158. Amen.

  159. And the Bible says, and the people murmured against Moses,

  160. saying what shall we drink?

  161. Amen?

  162. Despite them turning to Moses with murmuring, heart, he still

  163. gets a hold of God on their behalf.

  164. Amen.

  165. And how many times do we see the pastor Amen.

  166. I don't feel like there's anybody in here tonight that

  167. really struggles with that. But how many times have people

  168. done the pastor wrong?

  169. Amen. They go to him with all their problems, they're murmuring.

  170. Amen against God, against him, Amen, But he still has

  171. a burden big enough Amen, to go out there and

  172. get a burden, Amen, and call down fire from heaven.

  173. Amen.

  174. And this shows us right there that he cast the

  175. tree in the water. Amen, and it sustained them. The

  176. bitters waters were made sweet.

  177. And Amen.

  178. As they journey from Elam, they came into the wilderness

  179. of sin. And in the sixteenth chapter, right there in

  180. the second verse, it says, in the whole congregation of

  181. the children of Visual murmured against Moses and Aaron in

  182. the wilderness. And if you look at the beginning, it says,

  183. and the whole congregation of the children Amen of is Isuel.

  184. So at that point it would have been every single

  185. one of them.

  186. Amen.

  187. But a chapter prior Amen, they were out there worshiping.

  188. Amen. They didn't have any trouble worshiping God. Amen. And

  189. I began to think on this thought.

  190. Right there, how many children Amen, looked up at their

  191. parents that day and said, what happened to mom and

  192. dad just a few days ago?

  193. Amen? They were out there worshiping God. Amen.

  194. After they came through the Red Sea, Amen, after Modes

  195. led them, Amen, after God, use the man of God.

  196. What happened to mom and Dad? Amen? Amen. I don't

  197. ever want.

  198. To get to the place where my son looks up

  199. at me, Amen and sees me up and down as

  200. a roller coaster.

  201. Amen.

  202. Praising God one day, but murmuring, Amen, and complaining against

  203. the things that we have to go through the other day. Amen,

  204. our pastor, preacher, I believe a message one time.

  205. Amen. Problems join the club. Amen. As long as we're

  206. serving God. Amen.

  207. And on this side of the sod.

  208. Amen. There's always gonna be some things we go through. Amen.

  209. There's always gonna be some troubles amen, and some trials.

  210. But by faith, Amen, we're gonna make it. Amen.

  211. To the other side, Hallelujah, Praise God. In six chapter sixteen,

  212. in verse eight, it says, and Moses said, this shall

  213. be when the Lord shall give you the in the

  214. evening flesh to eat, and in the morning bread to

  215. the ful. For that the Lord hereth your murmurings, which

  216. ye murmur against him?

  217. And what are we? Your murmurings are not against us,

  218. but against the Lord. Amen.

  219. So up there we know Moses, he man. He was

  220. a pretty strong man. He could take a lot. Amen

  221. to be a pastor, if you would to be a

  222. shepherd over that many people.

  223. So what he's telling them? Amen, Your murmurings. Amen. It

  224. really ain't.

  225. Affecting me right now. Amen, I can handle it by

  226. God's help. But you're about to cross the line Amen

  227. when you start going to God. Amen with your murmurings

  228. and complaints.

  229. Amen.

  230. Because look at all the times He's already sustained him.

  231. Amen.

  232. Look at all the time that He's already brought you

  233. through the Red Sea. Look at all the enemies amen

  234. floating out in the red Sea.

  235. Amen.

  236. Look at the time where he turned the water Amen

  237. from bitter to sweep Amens. So at that point, Amen, hallelujah,

  238. it brings us back to her text.

  239. Amen.

  240. Right after that, here tonight, in chapter number seventeen, Amen,

  241. they look past where God had brought him from in

  242. the wilderness of sin and pull out the thing Amen

  243. that didn't which they didn't have no water.

  244. It was just a drop in a bucket, something simple. Amen.

  245. Just right there they showed up. Amen at the place. Amen.

  246. There was no water there.

  247. But all the things that I just went over, Amen

  248. to try to lay a little bit of a foundation,

  249. God had already taken care of them.

  250. Amen.

  251. So I wonder who had the broad idea Amen. Amen

  252. to start murmuring again. Amen, and come to God because Amen,

  253. they had just Amen, come out of all those places God.

  254. Had already provided for them. Amen.

  255. If they would have amen, went to God. Amen with

  256. all their needs.

  257. Amen.

  258. I'm showing the exact number there, but I think Amen,

  259. that's at least a couple million of them. They was

  260. a lot there, I'm not sure several, several hundreds of thousands.

  261. Imagine what a prayer meeting that would have been. Amen.

  262. Instead of taking everything to the man of God. Amen.

  263. What would have happened if they all would have hit

  264. their knees right there?

  265. Amen, has started crying out to God Lord.

  266. We're here again. Amen. We're at a place where we

  267. don't have no water. Amen. We're parted. Amen. We need

  268. to hear from you. Amen. But instead they start murmuring again.

  269. Amen. And I want to tell somebody to not amen

  270. that me Amen. Jonathan Edwards. Amen, I've got more to do,

  271. Amen than sit around and murmur.

  272. Amen.

  273. I've been through some things, and I'll continue to go

  274. through some things.

  275. Amen.

  276. But God's been too good to me Amen to sit

  277. around and complain.

  278. Amen.

  279. Because when I look back, Amen, and where I came from, Amen,

  280. of what I could be out in this world.

  281. Amen.

  282. It just wants me to amen, to throw my hands amen,

  283. and to the Lord and say thank you God. Amen. Amen.

  284. Too many times Amen. People today what they do is Amen.

  285. They take their problems and put them under the magnifying

  286. glass and blow them up. Amen, wondering, Hey, I'm here again,

  287. what are you gonna do about it?

  288. God? Amen?

  289. But there's God saying Amen, if you would take it

  290. to your prayer closet. Amen, I've already done all the

  291. things for you back then. Amen, I've already brought you

  292. out of Egypt.

  293. Amen.

  294. So why do you have to complain, Amen, just because

  295. you don't have some water? Amen, Hallelujah, Praise God. And

  296. verse number three, verse number one of this seventeenth chapter says,

  297. in the congregation of the people of the children of

  298. virtual journeyed from the wilderness of sin.

  299. That's something worth rejoicing.

  300. And right there knowing, Amen, that you've just been brought

  301. out of the wilderness full of sinful things.

  302. Amen. You're no longer in there.

  303. You're somewhere amen, where you can camp and finally have

  304. some rest.

  305. Amen.

  306. And it says in verse number three says, and the

  307. people thirsted for water, and the people murmured against Moses

  308. and said, wherefore is this that thou hast brought us

  309. up out of Egypt?

  310. We're out there. Amen.

  311. It's pretty much a slap in the face to Moses

  312. and God Amen, saying Amen, wherefore is this that thou

  313. hast brought us up out of Egypt to kill us

  314. and our children and our cattle with thirst?

  315. Amen?

  316. If God really wanted to take them out, Amen, he

  317. could have amen, have slain them back in Egypt.

  318. Amen.

  319. He can let those taskmasters just go ahead, amen, in

  320. clean house on them. But he had a better plan

  321. for him.

  322. Amen.

  323. And he had something better for them to do. Amen,

  324. to live one day in Canaan's land.

  325. Amen.

  326. But if you look right there in verse number four,

  327. it says, and Moses cried unto the Lord, saying, what

  328. shall I do unto this people? They be almost ready

  329. to stone me. So they took it as far as Amen.

  330. We're here. We're in such of a need. Amen, we're

  331. so aggravated. Amen. They're already murmuring and complaining. Amen. They

  332. threatened to stone the man of God.

  333. Amen, the man of God that had just brought him

  334. through all those places, the Man of God.

  335. Amen.

  336. That was about to work again by God on their behalf.

  337. Amen. They're threatened to stone them.

  338. And how many times do we see people, Amen, coming

  339. to the House of God. The pastor's done so much

  340. for them, but yet Amen, they keep throwing a stone

  341. at them.

  342. Amen. They threaten.

  343. Hey, you know what, Amen, I'm gonna stone them because

  344. my life ain't going good.

  345. Well, I'll tell you what.

  346. If you would get down Amen on your knees and

  347. just cry out to God Amen, and prayed to God

  348. in heaven, it could be stolen much better. Hallelujah, Praise God, Hallelujah,

  349. Thank you Jesus, Hallelujah.

  350. Amen. Over.

  351. In the Book of Psalms, it says in the thirty

  352. fourth chapter Thesama David, it says, I will bless the

  353. Lord at all times, and his praise shall continually be

  354. in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in

  355. the Lord. The humble shall hear thereof and be glad.

  356. Oh magnify the Lord, and he heard me, and I

  357. subtantless see, Oh magnify the Lord with me, and let

  358. us exalt his name forever.

  359. Amen. Too many people Amen, start putting Amen.

  360. Like I said, they're problems under the magnifying glass.

  361. Amen, and they put God down. Amen.

  362. I don't know if any of y'all. I'm sure some

  363. of y'all know those old type of sclls.

  364. Amen.

  365. There just to stand pretty much, and it's a chain

  366. on both sides with a little bit of a plate.

  367. Back in the day they would have measured gold with it,

  368. or silver or thing or whatever's heaviest.

  369. It goes to the bottom. Amen. And so many people Amen.

  370. They put their they put their problems amen, their murmurings,

  371. their complaints on one side, Amen, and they put God

  372. on the other side.

  373. Amen. But the side that their complaints.

  374. Are on and their murmurings on, they just stack them up, Amen,

  375. stack them up, and stack them up, and before you

  376. know it, Amen, they don't broke the scale because Amen,

  377. they're too busy stacking up things.

  378. Amen. They should have took to the prayer closet. Amen.

  379. They're too busy stacking up things. Amen. They should have

  380. got rid of a long time ago. Amen. Hallelujah. Amen,

  381. you think of job over there. Amen.

  382. He lost seven sons, three daughters, seven thousand sheep through

  383. three thousand camels, five hundred yo of auxen five hundred

  384. she asses. But he's still found enough Amen to go

  385. praise God.

  386. Amen, despite his wife.

  387. Amen, tell them you know what, go ahead and give

  388. up job, curse God and die. He found enough Amen

  389. to go out there, Amen and send in the ash

  390. Paul Amen and humble hist sauf Amen. Knowing that he

  391. was down to nothing. Amen, that might be where somebody's trying.

  392. God's trying to take somebody Amen, down to nothing to

  393. realize you really can't make it on your own. Hallelujah,

  394. Thank you Jesus.

  395. Praise God. Amen.

  396. Don't get mad at the man of God. Amen, that

  397. God's given us. He's poured so much into each and everyone.

  398. And I'm about to be closing if we can get

  399. brother Jesse on the piano here, Amen, don't get mad

  400. at the Man of God for everything that he's poured

  401. into us. Amen, Because I guarantee there's all of us

  402. here tonight. Wouldn't be where we were if it wasn't

  403. for a pastor. Amen, if it wasn't for amen, Amen,

  404. somebody getting a hold of God on our behalf, because

  405. if we're on us, we all moved down here for

  406. some reason. There was the reason why we left where

  407. we were. Amen, And if we could all stand here tonight.

  408. This is a very familiar portion of scripture right here

  409. over in Psumn, chapter thirty seven, verse twenty five says

  410. I have been young, and now I'm old. Yet I've

  411. never seen the righteous forsaken, nor their seed begging bread.

  412. He is forever, he is ever merciful and lendeth, and

  413. his seed is blessed.

  414. We truly are blessed people. Amen.

  415. And like I said, Amen, as long as we're living,

  416. there's gonna be things we're gonna face.

  417. Amen.

  418. But don't let your murmur out weigh magnifying God tonight.

  419. Amen. Don't let the things of this world amen.

  420. Amen, the lifestyles of this world out weigh what God's

  421. already done tonight.

  422. I just love the Lord. If we can find a

  423. place to pray here to not

  424. Mh.
