  1. To you tonight. Amen, turn with me to the Book

  2. of Jeremiah. May I direct your attention to the seventeenth

  3. chapter and the ninth verse. Please Jeremiah Chapter number seventeen

  4. and verse number nine. Brother Nathaniel, Proverbs Chapter number three

  5. and verses number five and six, and Brother Jesse, Second

  6. King's Chapter number five, verses number nine through twelve. Second

  7. Kings Chapter number five, Verses number nine through twelve. I

  8. want to say I appreciate the preaching that we heard

  9. as we celebrated our nineteenth anniversary as Bethel Holiness Church.

  10. We had some wonderful Homecoming Day celebrations to wonderful services

  11. for preachers that preached with the anointing, heard the Holy

  12. go speaking to my heart to preach a message chiitled

  13. Christ our Compass, Christ colon our Compass. Brother Nathaniel, Proverbs

  14. Chapter number three, Versus number one, five and six, My brother.

  15. Trusting the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not

  16. under thine own understanding in all thy ways, acknowledge Him

  17. and He shall direct thy pass.

  18. And Amen, how many of you want to put your

  19. trust holy in the Lord. You'll be safe in doing so.

  20. Brother Jesse's Second Kings Chapter number five, verses number nine

  21. through twelve. Listen to this account and this narrative of

  22. a man that had a problem putting his trust in

  23. the Lord.

  24. So Naming came with his horses and with his chariot,

  25. and stood at the door of the house of Elisha.

  26. And Elisha sent a messenger unto him, saying, go and

  27. wash in Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come

  28. again to thee, and thou shalt be clean. But Naming

  29. was wroth and went away, and said, behold, I thought

  30. he was surely come out to me and stand and

  31. call on the name of the Lord his God, and

  32. strike his hand over the place and recover the leopard.

  33. Are not Abana and parfar rivers of Damascus better than

  34. all the waders of Israel? May I not wash in

  35. them and be clean? So he turned and went away

  36. in a rage.

  37. So Nayman said, I thought, because his heart and his

  38. mind told him there was a better way to go

  39. about it, I thought, Jeremiah, chapter number seventeen, verse number nine,

  40. thank you for standing for the reading of our golden texts.

  41. The Bible says the heart is deceitful above all things,

  42. and desperately wicked who can know it? Could we pray,

  43. Heavenly Father, we love and we praise you. We thank

  44. you for the opportunity to be in your house tonight.

  45. I thank you for the men of God that's in

  46. this place, the women of God, the children whom are

  47. children of God as well. We pray that you would

  48. bless each one, set a guard at their ears and

  49. help them to hear what the spirit of God he says.

  50. And to the church tonight, Lord, we pray that you

  51. would set a guard at my mouth and help me

  52. to say the things you would have me to say,

  53. nothing more or less. Oh God, we pray these sayings

  54. would go below the shoulders. May they descend into the

  55. heart of mine soul bodies, saturate our beings. We pray

  56. not with my words, but with your words. Help us

  57. not to hear only, but to heed. And may we

  58. depart this place joyfully and not sorrowfully. In Jesus' name

  59. in the church said amen, as you're being seated. Looking again.

  60. In our golden texts, the Bible says, the heart is

  61. deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked. Who can know it? I,

  62. the Lord, search the heart. I try the reins even

  63. to give every man according to his ways and according

  64. to the fruit of his doings. Our text is found

  65. in an Old Testament book of the Holy Bible, the

  66. Book of Jeremiah. How many people among us tonight are

  67. thankful for your copy of the King James translation of

  68. the Word of God. I'm very thankful from my personal

  69. copy of this Holy Bible. Amen. I am very blessed

  70. to hold in my hand the Blessed Bible on a

  71. daily basis. I open it and I read of these wonderful,

  72. wonderful accounts of Biblical characters who found it to be

  73. their cheapest desire to please the Lord, and they learn

  74. that the ways of the Lord are easier kept than

  75. what we would suppose them to be. But we are

  76. emotional beings, and because we are emotional beings, sometimes our

  77. heart deceives us, and our heart is desperately wicked. In fact,

  78. our golden texts said, who can know it? I wonder

  79. how many of you tonight really know just how wicked

  80. that heart is, that heart that you put your trust in,

  81. that heart that speaks to you sometimes even louder than

  82. you allow the Word of God to speak to you.

  83. I know this blessed Word of God for years has

  84. had many attacks, and there's been so many haters that

  85. have attacked the very words of Almighty God. Even though

  86. the Bible itself is the gateway to glory. The apostle

  87. Peter believe the Bible plays a critical and crucial role

  88. in the conversion of all who come to Jesus. While

  89. looking through his epistle today, I discovered this golden verse

  90. one Peter, chapter number one and verse number twenty three.

  91. He wrote these words, being born again, not of corruptible seed,

  92. but of incorruptible by the Word of God, which liveth

  93. and abideth forever. This book is the Word of God,

  94. and it changed my life the better. That is my

  95. personal testimony. And there's several people in this building tonight

  96. whom have testified in recent years that this book changed

  97. their life for the better. This Holy book has helped

  98. each one of us become a better version of ourself,

  99. and it is helping us to become more christ Like

  100. the weeping prophet, Jeremiah knew the power of the words

  101. of the Lord. In fact, he declared that the word

  102. of the Lord was in his heart as a burning

  103. fire shut up in his bones. And because of this

  104. he was unable to hold back, and he just had

  105. to preach. His words were these words, and I could

  106. not stay, I could not refrain from speaking what thus

  107. saith God. So there is no doubt in my mind

  108. whatsoever that the weeping prophet Jeremiah had a great heart

  109. for the word of God, and he also had a

  110. great heart as a human being, because he answered the

  111. call to ministry that came upon him. He received the

  112. commission of the Lord gladly, and he was willing to

  113. do that work that no one else would be willing

  114. to do. And he made the all inclusive sacrifice to

  115. be despised of contemporaries, peers, rulers, pagans, god loving people,

  116. because he would preach the truth and deliver unto them

  117. the mind of the Lord, and teach them the precepts

  118. and the whole counsel of God. This man, though, even

  119. though he had such a big heart, that before he

  120. would preach to people, he would be found being emotional,

  121. and his emotions would move him to great peers periods

  122. of weeping, and he would preach to people through tears,

  123. dimmed eyes, and through swollen eye sockets and tell them

  124. what thus saith the word of God. Brother Nathaniel, What

  125. a heart this man had. He was an emotional being,

  126. and I have no doubt whatsoever that there were times

  127. that he thought about holding back because of his statement

  128. that we just read together. I had decided to preach

  129. no more. I had decided not to mention his name

  130. or the author of the one that put these words

  131. us in this book him my heart. But because it's

  132. the word of God, I must speak his word, even

  133. though I don't altogether feel like speaking it to him.

  134. So we know this mighty prophet felt just like you do,

  135. at times of saying nothing else to somebody that would

  136. not pay attention to what was being said. He felt

  137. like at times his words and were falling upon deaf ears.

  138. And there's no time, no doubt that there were times

  139. that he decided to preach them. Even though he did

  140. not feel it was right in his own eyes to

  141. preach him, he went ahead and done what God had

  142. told him to do. You see, it was the Lord's

  143. word that superseded any other word uttered by mortals or

  144. spiritual beings. And for every child of God looking for

  145. remedies and answers in their lifetime, they have learned to

  146. go back on to the same Bible, and they used

  147. when they were first to save them. And this man,

  148. even though his emotions and caused his heart and his

  149. mind the times to tell him not to preach things

  150. that God had told him, the preaching because God had

  151. told him to do it, and because God's words were

  152. burning in his heart, he would go against to his

  153. own feelings, and he would go against to his own emotions.

  154. And I know my boy Mintioning recently while preaching them

  155. that when I was raising my children, I taught him

  156. a hard life of listen. And one time I noticed

  157. that when this particular person visited our children, and during

  158. one of my children's birthday celebration, she brought all of

  159. my children a gift, and she told each one of them,

  160. I did not want you to feel left out. And

  161. I remember thinking right then and there, on the surface,

  162. this scenes like the right thing to do. This woman

  163. is being driven emotionally, and she's trying to consider the

  164. feelings of all of these other little how children. But

  165. I knew that was not the best thing for my

  166. little children. And so just as soon as that woman

  167. who supposedly meant well, so she felt like she did anywhere.

  168. As soon as she left, I gethered them gifts that

  169. my other five children had received, and I put them

  170. in a closet and I told them, this is not

  171. your special day, this is your sibling special day. Because

  172. I knew how her life of girls. I know today

  173. that life is untear, and I've taught to how we're

  174. chialing her. And sometimes when you expect to get a

  175. pay raising, a sibling gets a pay raise and a

  176. promotion to go with it. I've told people before, when

  177. you felt like your loved when was gonna be healed,

  178. they died while somebody else's loved when received the healing.

  179. And just a day or two actor the funeral of

  180. the one that died, the one that was healed, came

  181. into church and they cried, and they threw their hands

  182. up and praised the Lord, and seemingly without her being

  183. sensitive to the other family in the building, they lifted

  184. up the name of the Lord God and declared that

  185. there were healing in his wings. And I don't know

  186. if you're gonna get this here tonight or not, but

  187. I'm telling you you have to rely totally on the

  188. word of God, and never rely on your feelings, and

  189. you cannot trust your heart. When Jeremiah he did not

  190. feel like preaching, he had to acknowledge the word of God.

  191. And because he mused her on the word of God,

  192. her Bible said concerning David, the fire burn. And in

  193. the case of David and Jeremiah, it unctioned them Burthen

  194. to go ahead and say what God would have them

  195. to say. Has been times in my ministry that I

  196. have not felt like mountain this proof of and preaching

  197. what God had told me to preach her, because I

  198. too have an emotional men. I'm a husband with feelings

  199. for my wife. I am my daddy the strong feelings

  200. for my children, and I'm your grandfather with dear feelings

  201. towards my grandchildren. But no matter what I think or

  202. how I feel, I know that they're gonna be judging

  203. by what they say. It the word of God. I

  204. want you to know right here to not I don't

  205. care if your heart it's misleading you away from the

  206. words of truth. That's what the Holy Ghost said a

  207. little while ago, that you're not listening to the words

  208. of the Master, that you're not heeding the words of

  209. Jesus Christ, that you're not listening to the messages delivered

  210. by them, your pastor why, oh why I would a

  211. mere murder this regard the words of God. I'll tell

  212. you why, because a lot of times we feel like her,

  213. we know better, We feel like we know what's best

  214. for lesson and will follow our heart. There's been times

  215. that as a father, I have brought my children to

  216. church and taking a heart copy of this King James

  217. Translation Bible and just sit down even before the service started,

  218. as I started reading the words of this blessed book,

  219. and I'd feel the fire burning him my soul. I'd

  220. experience reneweds ill and brother Nathaniel. Then I couldn't help

  221. but testify and sometimes endelving in the world of God.

  222. I would discover a truth that would help me escape

  223. a lie of my emotions and heart. Again in Jeering,

  224. my chapter number seventeen, in verse number nine, our going

  225. in text says the heart it's deceitful above all things

  226. and desperately wicked. Who can know it? How many people

  227. present to not have heard someone use this expression follow

  228. your heart? I have heard that expression so much lately.

  229. That might be the reason for why God put this

  230. message on my heart. Listen, there is nobody in this

  231. world of seven billion people that has a heart so

  232. after God that they should follow their heart. It was

  233. set up Eavia that he had a heart after God.

  234. At one point he said, my heart pina or pen

  235. attacked to thee. Her long attached to thee God, also

  236. heart death a water brook. What was he looking for?

  237. And he was not looking for the person Jesus Christ.

  238. He was listening for the word. The Bible said in

  239. a New Testament that Jesus is the word. He was

  240. listening for the voice of God. He was searching for him,

  241. the word of God. Can I tell you we are

  242. blessing and this generation that we do not have to

  243. lay on our bed at night and swim in our

  244. tears asking God to speak to us. We do not

  245. have to be especially chosen and dedicated five year old

  246. growing up in the tipple with the name God. Here

  247. are so known as Samuel and somebody that could hear

  248. the word of God. I'm telling you you got sixty

  249. six love letters right here in your hand. Right now.

  250. You can ask God to speak to you all you

  251. want to, And in this day and hour He is

  252. going to speak to you through his son. He's going

  253. to speak to you through his word. He's gonna speak

  254. to you through his messenger, and you cannot follow over

  255. your heart. The prophet deer Mine would strongly disagree with

  256. that expression, haunt follow your heart, And so would the

  257. wise man who put in the parchment and rode in

  258. Proverbs chapter number three, Versus number five and six. And

  259. he's the trust to the Lord with all thine heart,

  260. and lean not to thine owner, understanding, and in all

  261. thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy past.

  262. And I'll tell you who you are more complicials, And

  263. I'll tell you who your complicles. It is Christ. I

  264. will never follow you. I will follow Christ. Jesus never

  265. told anybody to follow over. Oh, come on now a man.

  266. If that man is not following Christ, I'm hair lipping

  267. somebody right now. I feel it. Even Apostle Paul, that

  268. great Apostolic preacher of the early Church, the one that

  269. persecuted members within Christen even until death, the one that

  270. ended up becoming the promoter that nobody would have ever suspected,

  271. the one that becomes such a prince among preachers. Even

  272. Apostle Paul said, you follow me, as long as I

  273. follow Christ. There's a lot of men today that would

  274. just say follow me, and they would not put that

  275. ladder part behind that follow me as I followed Christ.

  276. Come on now, this is a pastoral message here tonight,

  277. and I can tell that some of you being miscutted, misled,

  278. and misdirected, not by the charismatic preacher hof to road.

  279. Come on now, it ain't that true, receiving them her

  280. phony maloney message from somebody on the street corner. It's

  281. your own heart. You're caring and the what you wanna hear.

  282. I'm telling you Jesus said follow thou me. He never

  283. said follow thou That doldright. He said follow thou me.

  284. I'm preaching the message the Holy Ghost titled Holy Ghost,

  285. titled Holy Ghost, titled Christ our compass. Listen, no matter

  286. how good our heart is, we don't need to follow it.

  287. No matter how good sister Howell's heart is towards her husband,

  288. her children, and her grandchildren, she does not need to

  289. follow it. No matter how sweet sister Ruton is and

  290. how good her heart is. It might even be gold

  291. and concerning brother Tyler, But Sister Rutting and Brother Tyler

  292. do not need to follow Sister Ruton's heart. The Lord

  293. Jesus did not tell you to trust your heart. He

  294. didn't tell you to trust your dreams. He didn't tell

  295. you to trust your feelings. He didn't tell you to

  296. trust your visions. He did tell you to trust your emotions.

  297. He did tell you to trust your appetites. He didn't

  298. tell you to trust your thoughts. Know he gave you

  299. his word, and his word is to serve as your compass.

  300. And David said, thy word have I hid in my heart?

  301. And I might not sin against thee, meaning that the

  302. word was not praisent. He was sin against God, meaning

  303. that the word was not prayer. Is that he'd lose

  304. his way. I'm telling you, I'm preaching to somebody right now.

  305. You feel like your world she proceeds the word of God.

  306. You feel like what you feel his riding right in

  307. your own eyes. But I'm telling you it is wrong.

  308. It is wrong. Ten thousand times you are wrong. You

  309. are wrong. Let God be true, and let every man

  310. be a liar. The heart is deceitl above all things,

  311. desperately wicked, and who can know it? Jeremise the one

  312. preaching that message. One that would weep and cry as

  313. he preached to his fellow men, one that would preach

  314. the under an unadulterated word of God, one that believed

  315. truth mattered, and one that would tell the truth rather

  316. than a lie. Listen, I'm telling somebody, your heart is

  317. deceiving you. Your heart is deceiving you. I have heard

  318. of serial killers whom have told people Jesus spoke to

  319. me and told me to eliminate a life. I have

  320. heard of people that committed mass murder who have said

  321. they heard a voice and that voice declared its identity

  322. as Jesus, and they did some atrocity against mankind. And

  323. by the Aaron, they sit in there and they get investigated,

  324. and they get interviewed, and that same boice that told

  325. them it was okay to take a life, that same

  326. boy that said I am Jesus, that same one that

  327. gave him de tells her her instructions. He was an impostor.

  328. I said he was an impostor, because anybody that knows

  329. the words of God knows one of the first commandments

  330. giving the mankind is this, thou shalt not kill her.

  331. And I'm telling you a lot of the phony Maloney.

  332. Gospel that is being preached today tells people to disregard

  333. what is written in that blessed book, and I want

  334. you to know her. I will hold to her what

  335. proceeds out of the mouth of the Father, not after

  336. of a prophet that is false. It's a pastoral message.

  337. I've heard people before say, listen to what the spirit

  338. is telling you. That woman was so convinced that all

  339. of the Howl kids needed to celebrate their birthdays first

  340. and foremost. That was a lie. It wasn't everybody else's

  341. special day. And if I had to raise my sons

  342. and daughter with that mindset and mentality, because somebody's heart

  343. was telling them, this is what we need to do.

  344. Somebody's heart was telling them walking to Brother Jeremy Howell's house,

  345. who was in a long term period of praying, fasting,

  346. and bring extra gifts, not for just the birthday boy,

  347. not just for Brother Jeremiah, but for everybody. Then interrupt

  348. Brother Jeremiah's birthday celebration and explain everybody why you're doing

  349. what you're doing. And then tell them kids a lie,

  350. say I know how you're feeling. I know how you're feeling.

  351. She didn't know your heart. She looked at Jesse and said,

  352. you're feeling left out, and Brother Jesse kind of shook

  353. his head. No. This. She looked at brother Nathaniel, her said,

  354. you're feeling left out, and Brother Datania said no. She

  355. looked at sister Hannah and brother Samuel and brother Philip,

  356. her said you're feeling left out, and he said, no,

  357. we don't understand what you're talking about. She said, oh,

  358. yes you do, Oh yes, you do. You know what

  359. I'm talking about. Her, you're feeling nature. Hey, listen, just

  360. because you're feeling something in your heart does not mean

  361. everybody else is feeling the same thing. Just because you've

  362. got heart problems solve, doesn't mean David it's got a

  363. heart problem. Just because you've got hardest shoes and your

  364. emotions are running ride her crazy. Contrary to the Word

  365. of God, this not mean everybody else in the church

  366. he's having heart is shoes. Concerning the Word of God,

  367. I love the Lord's word. I love the Lord. I

  368. love him deep down in my heart. And that woman

  369. felt like she knew better than the parents. She felt

  370. like she knew better than them kids, And I knew

  371. her heart's deceiving her. And you know what, My children

  372. grew up understanding that it rains on the just and unjust,

  373. and that they were all born on different days, and

  374. that they all have times of celebration and others they

  375. have times of gain, while others experienced times of loss.

  376. I have seen some get paid raises and promotions, while

  377. some companies went out of business. And you know what's

  378. never for me to question the minds or the ways

  379. of God. This will help some of you right here

  380. listen to the promises of God. Are yeah and amen?

  381. He told you when you signed that covenant on the

  382. dotted line and you become his child, he said, I'll

  383. make you joint heirs over all of heaven with your

  384. big brother Jesus Christ, and I will supply all of

  385. their needs according to his riches and glory. I'll tell

  386. you what your heart will tell you. Your heart will

  387. tell you you need a promotion when your brother gets one.

  388. Your heart will tell you you need a pay raise

  389. when your brother gets one. Your heart will tell you

  390. you deserve a Holy girls when your sister gets the

  391. Holy girls. Right in the world, this wild where your heart.

  392. It's a heart problem. You can't trust your feelings. You

  393. can't trust your emotions. Where my brother's getting a naughty

  394. while he preaches. You know what Jesus told Peter. He said,

  395. if John tears until you lie, come again? What he

  396. is that to you? Because Peter was worried about Roll,

  397. what's happening with John? Will I'll tell you this on

  398. the fliff side of that. On the day of Pentecost,

  399. while John stood in the shadows of Peter, John could

  400. have said, why, Ah, why here's ether preacher tonight? Wow?

  401. Why his God using him to night? Trust in the

  402. Lord with all thy heart and lean not into thine

  403. own understanding Peter in all thy ways, acknowledge him, and

  404. he shall direct thy path. I'm preaching a message Christ,

  405. our compass. You can trust Christ. A person can't trust

  406. their emotions. We as finite beings can't know foolly the

  407. mind of God without having his word in our heart.

  408. I'm gonna say it again, We as finite beings, cannot

  409. fully know the mind of God without having his words

  410. hidden in our heart. Child of God, hear me just

  411. a little. While the prodigal son fall his heart into

  412. a far country, his heart led him a great distance

  413. from the safety of the Father's house. Will God use

  414. this brother and he's not using me? What is that

  415. to you? Well? I have to preach a pastoral message

  416. tonight and not an evangelistic message. What is that to me? Hey?

  417. I just have to do what God told me to do.

  418. There's been times in camp meetings that there were those

  419. that you could just tell they had determined in their

  420. heart they were gonna preach everybody happy. You've heard them

  421. say it before, preach everybody happy. But everybody could tell

  422. when they got to that meeting that there were some

  423. things that needed to be said in order to streak

  424. them the church. There had to be something said that

  425. would remind the people what does said the word of God?

  426. That people were not willing to say it because their

  427. hearts controlling their emotions, and their emotions was telling them,

  428. you better back down, you better back away, and you

  429. better leave that alone. Proca son God in his mind,

  430. I deserve something better than this. I deserve something greater

  431. than this. I'm not the older brother, so you give

  432. me that that is mine. And right then and there,

  433. the prodigal son got everything that was his. A lot

  434. of people overlook this. There was nothing to come back

  435. to and I pointed this out a couple of weeks ago.

  436. When he came home, he was not looking for status.

  437. You know why, because he knew when he left, I'm

  438. taking everything that is mine, and he squandered his inheritance

  439. and there was nothing to come back to. But because

  440. he came back not desiring to be a son, I'm

  441. telling the father I'm looking for a servants quarters. The

  442. father restored him that that was not even his I'm

  443. telling you, your heart will take you into a far country.

  444. The same way, the daughter of Jacob Dinah allowed her

  445. heart to deceive her, and it led her into following

  446. into her the hands of the enemy. She found herself

  447. in the strange arms of a strange man from a

  448. strange land. Donna God defiled. The daughter of Jacob got distort,

  449. so to speaker, because her of her emotions and because

  450. her her heart let her into the wrong place. I'm

  451. telling you you better be careful where that heart read you.

  452. The strong man Sampson was led into the land of

  453. the Philistines because of that deceitful heart. What about Judas

  454. he said yes to men that sought to kill Jesus.

  455. He paid no regard to the words of the Lord.

  456. As the Lord spoke to the other eleven followers, those

  457. that were following him, those that declared, we have no

  458. one else to follow, no one else to go to.

  459. You have the words of eternal life. But Judas's heart

  460. was in another kingdom, Jesus heart. Judas's heart was in

  461. another realm. Judas's heart had another plan. Judas had his way.

  462. Judas had the way. He thought about it, and his

  463. heart led him to the high Priest and to the

  464. other priest. If he would, this is the way. The

  465. Holy Ghost gave it to me to day, Judas's heart

  466. and led him to another preacher. Judas's heart led him

  467. away from the Prince of preachers Jesus Christen, and led

  468. him into politics, and led him to another group of preachers.

  469. Who do not feel like plagiarism is? Who do you

  470. not feel like politics? He's a sin. Judas went to

  471. another group of preachers. He looked him in the right

  472. of the eyes, and even though he declared to be

  473. doing the right thing, his heart was betraying Jesus. And

  474. you can approach the platform, You can extend your hand,

  475. you can shake the preacher's hand, you can look him

  476. in the right of the eyes. And you can say

  477. one thing and your heart means something. Answer. You can

  478. say you're going one wave while your heart he's trying

  479. you another ra What I'm telling you, Judas, look Jesus

  480. in the writer or the eyes, and he had an

  481. instrument of death in his hand. He looked Jesus in

  482. the eyes, put those two lips on the cheek of Jesus,

  483. kissed him and even uttered the word friend, while his

  484. heart was screaming, look of ravenous beast wood. Enemy, enemy

  485. of my thoughts, enemy and my plans. I thought you'd

  486. set up a throne of David. I thought you destroy

  487. the Roman Empire. I thought we'd have an earthly kingdom.

  488. I thought I'd be your secretary of treasure. But he's

  489. saying friend, but his heart screaming enemy. Oh come on now,

  490. just smell the spirit of Absolom in this place among adies.

  491. Oh God, you know you can look at Daddy David

  492. and say you've got a right heart to watch David.

  493. Let me doing the wrong thing on the fringes. You

  494. can stand in the churchyard, you can stand by the

  495. glass doors. You can whisper in the ears of people

  496. and your heart to indicate to them it's in another sphere,

  497. it's in another world, said another take. That's why the

  498. man said to the man, that's recorded in the Word

  499. of God. Is your heart right when my heart as

  500. my heart is with thy heart? Is it? When the

  501. word of God corrects you, do you try to conjure

  502. up and concoct a plan to justify your sin? Do

  503. you go around and say little things because you were

  504. so condemned and you feel so bad or so ashamed

  505. or so embarrassed, and you go around trying to justify

  506. why you feel like you're okay, or why you're able

  507. to do this, or why you can get bye with it,

  508. or why you're the exception to the rule, rather than

  509. just saying God's words. Says No, That's what I don't

  510. understand about a lot of phony belonging doctrine nowadays, where

  511. people seem to ignore the subject of purity and the

  512. other subject of modesty. I know for sure that a

  513. bathing suit and a bikini one or two, peace or whatever.

  514. Bathing suit is not the attire of a modest woman

  515. or man of God. I mean, they just seem to

  516. overlook all these other scriptures about purity and modesty. They

  517. seem to overlook for Jesus Christ in the glory world

  518. where they're neither giving him marriage or well, you know

  519. what I'm saying here, Hey, Jesus is clothed down to

  520. the foot. I'm trying to be careful right now because

  521. of my emotions what I say. But I tell you this,

  522. why is Jesus clothed down to the foot in heaven?

  523. And then people try to get us to believe that

  524. he's okay with him walking around her? Seventy five percent

  525. of clothe Jesus is not okay with it. The word

  526. of God does not permitted, The word of God does

  527. not validated. The word of God does not excuse us,

  528. no matter what the heart of their mother says, no

  529. matter what the heart of that preacher says. And it

  530. is not okay, my God. But they'll tell you, I

  531. feel like I'm being modest when I state sister how

  532. when she was in the worldly living Church, she felt

  533. immodest wearing the white piece. When Athleene Harris, who had

  534. been a woman of this world God saved, the Word

  535. of God and the Spirit of God were in agreement

  536. that she needed to be a modest woman that when

  537. that lion preacher told her to put on the bathy's suit,

  538. that they had been too hard, that they had preached

  539. it too tight, that they shouldn't have paid any attention

  540. what this appeared of God in the Word of God

  541. had said that Tolene, she fell for it for a

  542. little while, and she put on the bathing suit, and

  543. she walked across the beach with her tower. She threw

  544. the towel down and got out there, leading up to

  545. her neck, and then was so embarrassed that she had

  546. to wade back out and run to get her towel.

  547. While that perverted lying prophet sit there has snickered and

  548. locked while her shame and nothing disappeared. That precious saying

  549. of God, who had been a woman in this world,

  550. told me there was a day and the hour that

  551. would not have bothered her. But after she got saved,

  552. after she met Jesus, after a true conversion, after reading

  553. the Bible, it bothered her. And it ought to bother

  554. every child of God. Im modesty ought to bother every

  555. child of God. Amen, I ain't preached on dress code

  556. in a long time, but I'm telling you the word

  557. of God puts a high value on a virtuous person

  558. man or a woman. The values beyond that that can

  559. be found in the mineral deposits of this world. It's

  560. priceless to be pure. Your purity is precious. It's priceless all.

  561. Thank God for modesty. Where is people's moral compass compass today?

  562. I know in my lifetime, in the last fifty years,

  563. I've watched people's moral compass get broke. I have watched

  564. them throw their moral compasses away. And you know what,

  565. when they threw their moral compasses away, they lost their way.

  566. That's what a compass is used for. It is to

  567. help you stay on course. It's to help you know

  568. one direction from another. It's to help you know when

  569. you got off course. It's to help you know you

  570. need to turn ninety degrees or five degrees. Oh, come

  571. on now, three hundred and fifty nine point five degrees.

  572. It'll help you. You need accompassing. This word of God

  573. will tell us about the ministerial ethics. It will tell

  574. us about ethics concerning lay it in. It will tell

  575. us about attitudes. It would tell us about mannerisms. It

  576. speaks to us about behaviors. It speaks to us about

  577. that to become a Christian. It speaks to us. It

  578. don't matter what your emotions tell you. It doesn't matter

  579. the culture that you were raised in or the society

  580. that has shaped you. The Word of God is designed

  581. to reshape you. It is designed to break you, and

  582. it is to mold you, just as Jeremiah set about

  583. Israel needing to go back to the Potter's will. Jeremi,

  584. I knew. You may claim to be the people of God.

  585. You may claim to be this and Nata. You may

  586. claim to be the son of a pastor or a

  587. preacher or an evangelist. You may claim to know what

  588. you know and to feel what you feel. But jeremies

  589. looking know at vessels that are marred. What jeremies looking

  590. at vessels and need to be put back on the

  591. Potter's wheel, Those people that are messed up and need

  592. to find themselves back in the Master's handle. And I'm

  593. telling you what, You're heart, we will mess you up,

  594. I said, your heart, we will mess you up. We

  595. don't mess your life, Upper, we don't mess your family. Upper.

  596. Who cannot trust your heart? Christ is our compass. I've

  597. been praying about all these great preachers. I think somebody

  598. told me there was twelve of them lined up around

  599. here this past Sunday representing Bethel Hole in his church

  600. and ministry team. And that wasn't all of them. And

  601. I was thanking God for him. Just yesterday and I

  602. was in the dunkin doughnut line waiting on a refresher,

  603. and I heard the Spirit of God say, tell them

  604. that I love them, tell them I'll use them, but

  605. tell them they better always follow me. And then I

  606. thought the Lord was done speaking, and he said, tell

  607. them they better always follow my word and not their heart.

  608. It is true the direction of your heart will determine

  609. your steps. If your heart is in the right place,

  610. you will reach the right place. But if your heart

  611. is in the wrong place, you will reach the wrong destination.

  612. Jesus Christ himself declared, for where your treasure is, there

  613. will your heart be. Also. If your mind and heart

  614. or stayed on the Lord, you can't help but pursue righteousness, obedience,

  615. and peace. That's what I'm saying. If you love the

  616. Word of God and you keep his commandments, you can't

  617. help but pursue righteousness, obedience, and peace. But ask Judas

  618. if your heart is in the wrong place. You will

  619. pursue pleasure, pride, and self will as the prodigal Dinah

  620. and Judas did. Who cares about our emotions anyway? When

  621. it comes to truth, no matter how we feel, the

  622. truth will liberate. The truth will set free those that

  623. are bound. And let God's word be true. And let

  624. every man be a liar when they start compromising and

  625. they tell you why, I know what the Spirit told me.

  626. And I'm telling you Jesus is walking up and down

  627. in our alls. I'm telling you there's healings taking place.

  628. I'm telling you God is just showing himself mighty in

  629. our mists. You better hold on to the word of God,

  630. because the Spirit of God and the Word of God

  631. are always in agreement. Jesus never said follow your emotions,

  632. brother Beufford, He said, following me. My emotions told me

  633. tonight to preach something else. But the Word of God

  634. told me. I better listen to God, do what God

  635. told me to do, or I'm gonna find myself a transgressor.

  636. And the way the transgressor is hard to be like

  637. plowing a row with fallow ground. Tonight, if I had

  638. to win against what God would have me to preach.

  639. I told sister how I said, God is changing it

  640. all together here to last minute, I said, I'm struggling.

  641. I need you to pray for me. I believe she did.

  642. I trust that she did. But whether she did or not,

  643. I know. My helper told me to preach this message

  644. to some of you here tonight, because you'll get to

  645. the place where you will confront the messenger. You'll confront

  646. somebody like Brother Jessey that obeyed God. Tonight, you'll confront

  647. a teacher and a Sunday school teacher, and you'll say, well,

  648. I know what my heart's telling me. You better go

  649. back to what the word of God is telling you.

  650. Why are we not teaching members of the Brewster bands,

  651. which means the members of our little primary Sunday school

  652. classes anymore? The words of the song to be I

  653. b a Lee. Yes, that's the book for me, because

  654. a lot of people now are standing on their emotions

  655. and theirs and their heart and not on the word

  656. of God. Should I keep preaching us? Should we go

  657. to the chicken house? It's a pastoral message Christ and

  658. his word will never change. His word is unchanging. His

  659. word is steadfast, it's unmovable. And then Brother Nathaniel read

  660. our cotext tonight and he talked about naming the Syrian

  661. general a war lord that came to the land of

  662. the Prophet, because the little maid had said, Oh that

  663. my master would go into the land of the Prophet,

  664. into the land of his God, into the land of

  665. my God, into the land of my people. Were Jehovah

  666. is our God, Oh that he would go. And if

  667. he would go, God through his man would recover him

  668. of his leprosy. And of course, because leprosy was naming

  669. the general alive, naming finally went. But since the how

  670. he went with the wrong motives in mind, he went

  671. with the wrong heart. He came to the right place

  672. and to the right man, within pure motives, with his

  673. mind preset, his mind made up. I've seen people move

  674. from one church to another and says, you know what,

  675. I'm gonna stay, and I'm gonna be a happy camper,

  676. and I'm gonna be a participant as long as when

  677. it really comes down to it, I get my way.

  678. As long as whenever push comes to shove, I'm the

  679. one doing the pushing, and I'm the one doing the shoving.

  680. As long as I get to climb up on the

  681. platform and sing, as long as I get to teach,

  682. as long as I get to preach, as long as

  683. I get to drive the church bus, as long as

  684. I get to take over the service, Everything's gonna be okay.

  685. So naming, he came the stere it already with his

  686. mind made up. I'm gonna get my healing, but he's

  687. gonna use the strong arm of the flesh. He's gonna

  688. bring his caravan. He's gonna bring his royal steeds. He's

  689. gonna bring his great words of flattery, his great gifts.

  690. He's gonna go to the house of the prophet. He's

  691. gonna expect the prophet to come out and maybe throw

  692. a little glitter and gold dust on him, or maybe

  693. some dandelion dust. He expects him to kind of do

  694. some spectacle of something. And the prophet doesn't even care

  695. to go look him in the eyes. The prophet sends

  696. the servant to him. The prophet doesn't roll out the

  697. red carpet. The prophet doesn't even sweep the front port.

  698. Sister Grace, it'd be like somebody coming to see our

  699. sales manager and brother Jeremiah telling Ethan go out there

  700. and tell them, fine one, who does he think he is?

  701. But the prophet told the servant go tell it all

  702. goes through the servant. I know how you look at

  703. a servant, But I've been trying to tell you to

  704. be humble. I've been trying to tell you to be

  705. a servant. I've been trying to tell you the value

  706. and honor servitude. You know, I use a little maid,

  707. a little servant girl, a little captive girl, to telling you.

  708. You know you're trying to save pace and act like

  709. she didn't preach your message, but that you came up

  710. your own accord and came up your own choosing. But

  711. I've gonna remind you about the servant. So when you

  712. come to the front door of the prophet, another little

  713. servant's gonna walk out there and say the mess. You know,

  714. the one you're burging to get ahold of God, to

  715. get you healed, the one you know you've got admit

  716. you need him to speak a word from the throne

  717. river of God. You know the Lord has got a

  718. prayer life. You know the Lord has got the power.

  719. A servant boy's gonna say the prophet the seer, the

  720. one you've heard about, the one that controls our military,

  721. the one that hears has God's harcle he speaks. He

  722. said to tell you go to the river Jordan and

  723. the deep seven times and naming, because it was in

  724. his heart to do it a different way. He gets furious,

  725. and he goes to leave, and his old servants again.

  726. Out of the mouths of servants, hank, they know the

  727. mind of God, they know the words of God. They

  728. know the works of God. You will never do it

  729. to ray and be healed. You will never do it

  730. to ray and be successful. He's being hunted again by servants.

  731. Do it the Muster's way, the little maid said. They

  732. come on the servant, and the prophet said, do it

  733. the Muster's way. And then his own servants are saying name.

  734. And if you don't do it to way he told

  735. you to do it, you're not gonna be healed. The

  736. name he could say all he wanted to are not

  737. the mighty rivers of Abana and far apart way greater

  738. than this old money Jordan. No, ten thousand times. No,

  739. you're rais or not his rasor your tortsul are not

  740. his tutsul. His razor. Are past finding out to do

  741. it his way or lose your soul? Do it his

  742. way or lose your compass, or do it his way,

  743. or lose your sensel her direction, do it his way

  744. or God. He rides to the river Jordan, and against

  745. his will, he wades into muddy Jordan. I don't know

  746. if he was cursing and cussing or what he was doing,

  747. but I know how some people are in church. He's

  748. probably saying this is stupid. Not everybody's an Irish wooting.

  749. I can see that little Holiness woman just plunging out there,

  750. whoo glory. And there's some of you that are saved

  751. Sanctify and Holy ghost Field because of the pride of

  752. the unowned heart. Even though I love and I appreciate you,

  753. and some of you might be family to save faith,

  754. you'd be giving a disclaimer right now. I'm not so

  755. sure this is really what God would have me to do.

  756. I'm not so really sure that that man was speaking

  757. the words of the God that heals leoprosy. You just

  758. be giving you a disclaimer the whole time. I'm telling

  759. you some of your good people with good hearts, but

  760. you would speak what's going on in your mind and

  761. your emotion? How do I know? How do I know?

  762. Because I hear you sometimes do it? I see our

  763. sweep right now. I see old brother Nathaniel right now,

  764. nothing but legs and a cotton top. I could hear

  765. brother Nathaniel servants saying, Master, Master. He didn't say die,

  766. he said dip. Huh, you can die. When he said

  767. dip and die, he said dip. You walk out there,

  768. and you take a while yourself, can't I just do

  769. it once and get it fixed. No, you so late

  770. up with pride. We're gonna dimp. How that feel? I

  771. love it? When God starts sowing out humble pie, he says,

  772. one slice ain't enough? Nay man, all right, Syria in general,

  773. real Lord, you've been distreet, destroying them Jews. Huh.

  774. We'll take a dimp and dip again, and for again,

  775. and this again. He dip again.

  776. By this time, the beard is sagging. By this time,

  777. the royal garments are staying. By this time, it don't

  778. matter what nobody's saying, what nobody's taking a bath. A'mad

  779. we'll ain't come up clean. We'll ain't come up clean.

  780. I'll tell you if you do it God's way, you'll

  781. come up clean. I said, if you'll do it God's way,

  782. you'll come off clean. Bless up be the name ho

  783. the Lord. Do it God's way. Let's stand and throw

  784. those hands up to what heavened and let old Jesus,

  785. even though his heart had his feelings by command of

  786. his emotions were screaming leave and do it your way.

  787. His servants were saying, do it God's way. His pride

  788. may have told him not to take a bath him

  789. money Jordan. But as Jesus said, take a bath him

  790. money Jordan, I'm telling you, humble yourself, honey, the mighty

  791. hand of God, do it God's way, and what's God

  792. restore you alive. I feel impressed with the Holy Ghost.

  793. To end with this, he could have went back to

  794. Syria and called the king and the counselors and said,

  795. I was told to do this. Isn't that crazy? And

  796. I have a feeling that that Syrian king, who knew

  797. something about the ways of our God, would have said down.

  798. For Therefore, if I was you, I'd pack my bags,

  799. turn around and go do it right. And I'm telling

  800. some of you in this building, all you gotta do.

  801. Turn around, come to the altar. Un Let's do it right. Well,

  802. I know my heart. Stop playing that game. We don't

  803. know our heart, but I know what to lone of

  804. God's head. If I humble myself handed a mighty hand

  805. of God, He'll lift me up. He'll lift me up,

  806. He'll lift me up. All the altars open. Anybody want

  807. to be healed tonight? I said, does anybody want to
