Amen.
-
I sure and thankful to be in the house of
-
the Lord. I'm thankful for the sweet holy ghost that
-
we have felt thus far. There's truly no other other thing,
-
other person of the role I would rather be than
-
an old time Christian.
-
Amen.
-
It don't get no much better than that. It don't
-
get better than that at all. Living in holiness, purity, Amen, sanctification,
-
living by the Word, that's how I like it.
-
Amen.
-
I do want to say, we do miss our pastor.
-
We know he's on the King's business.
-
Amen.
-
Taken care of of matters that you know do matter?
-
Amen.
-
They all things, Amen matter to the Lord. Whenever it
-
comes to the flock. Amen, he don't just throw one
-
person out and say, you know you're out there.
-
I've got attend to my ninety nine. Amen.
-
He'll be back, and I'm thankful for that. But I
-
sure am thankful he looks out for that one. Amen, sheep,
-
we're gonna be looking over in Acts chapter sixteen, in
-
verse number twenty two, I do want to say, I'm
-
thankful for the given from each and everyone.
-
This is what the Lord laid on my heart for tonight.
-
Over in Acts chapter sixteen and verse twenty two, it says,
-
and the multitude rose up together against them, and the
-
magistrates rent off their clothes and commanded to beat them.
-
And when they had laid many strips upon them, they
-
cast them into prison, charging the jailer to keep them safely, who,
-
having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner
-
prison and made their feet fast in stalks. And at
-
midnight Paul and Silas praised and sang praises, prayed and
-
sang praises unto God, and the prisoners heard them, and
-
suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations
-
of the prison were shaken. And immediately all the doors
-
were open, and everyone's bands were loosed. And the keeper
-
of the prison, awakening out of his sleep and seeing
-
the prison doors open, and he drew his sword and
-
would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled,
-
But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, do thyself
-
no harm, for we are all here. Then he called
-
for a light and sprang in and came trembling and
-
fell down before Paul and Silas, and brought them out
-
and said, sirs, what must I do to be saved?
-
And they said, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and
-
thou shalt be saved and thy house. If the Lord
-
will help me just for a little bit, I want
-
to preach on locked up, but not alone. Let's pray
-
here to not Dear God, We pray, Lord, would you
-
please us come by Lord God and anoint God your preacher. Lord.
-
Would you please us help him God to preach what
-
dos saith the Lord God. Would you please u anoining
-
us God and help us Lord to say only what
-
you would have us to say.
-
God, we pray tonight, would you please us come by
-
Lord and help us God, just a humble servant God, God.
-
Not mine will be done, Lord, but your will be done,
-
Heavenly Father, we prayed, God. Would you please just come
-
by Lord and move God and help us Lord God.
-
To say only what you would have us to say.
-
God, Lord, we thank you Jesus, and we give you
-
the honor, the praise, and the glory in Jesus' name.
-
We praying Amen Amen.
-
Leading up to our scriptures we read, we find towards
-
the beginning of this sixteenth chapter, how Paul has a
-
vision appear unto him to go over into Macedonia to
-
preach and he goes Amen, unto the people, and Paul
-
knew he had to be about his father's business.
-
Amen.
-
Whenever he had that vision, Amen, he knew there was
-
no procrastinating, Amen, no waiting around.
-
Amen.
-
He knew he had to get everything in order, Amen,
-
and get about what God had showed him. And we
-
find in verse number twelve how he came into Philippi,
-
which was the chief city of the part of Macedonia,
-
and the Amen.
-
He did a go for a certain amount of days. Amen.
-
The Bible was not clear on how many days he
-
stayed there. Amen.
-
But as we see, God had great plans along this journey,
-
and many souls were saved and lives were changed because
-
of the man of God having an ear bent towards
-
hearing what thus said the Lord, but also being obedient Amen,
-
and taken action.
-
Amen. In Verse number thirteen reads like this.
-
It says that on the Sabbath, we went out of
-
the city by riverside, where praying was wont to be made,
-
and we sat down and spake unto the women, which
-
resorted thither.
-
Amen.
-
While they journeyed out of this city, Amen, and came
-
by the river side and sat down.
-
Amen.
-
And began to speak Amen, impooring to women, and the
-
women that were there, Amen, no doubt, worshiping Amen, and
-
had a song in their heart.
-
Amen.
-
And there we find how God began to work in
-
individuals lives, and how it was truly made clear why
-
Paul Amen was sent to Macedonia.
-
Amen. Number fourteen.
-
Amen says, and a certain woman named Lydia, a seller
-
of purple, of the city of thyrah Tyra, which worshiped God,
-
hurt us, whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended
-
unto the things which were spoken of Paul.
-
Amen.
-
And how it must have done Amen's sister Lydia good
-
that day.
-
Amen, just to know. Amen, Hey we're down here by
-
the river.
-
Amen, But here comes Paul and Silas Amen, about to
-
preach the gospel. Amen, and spread the good news.
-
Amen.
-
No doubt they had traveled a long ways, but hey,
-
they're here. Amen, They're here to feed us.
-
Amen. She believed.
-
Amen, the men of God Amen had to say what
-
they had to say. Amen, and so much more Amen
-
wanted to hear it over. In verse number fifteen, it
-
says that when she was baptized and her household, she
-
besought us, saying, if ye have judged me to be
-
faithful to the Lord.
-
Come into my house and abide there. Amen.
-
Verse fifteen makes it clear to us that Amen, she
-
wasn't the only one there. Amen, It said the amen,
-
or a whole house was baptized. We don't know how
-
many exactly was in her house, or how many was
-
down there by the river, Amen, but no doubt it
-
was a great multitude.
-
Amen. Amen.
-
And we find Amen. And she asks them, Amen, come
-
and abide at my house.
-
Amen. And as she invited them to go and abide into.
-
Her house, no doubt, to refresh theirselves and rest themselves
-
from such a long journey that they had, it seemed
-
like everything, Amen, was going good. And yes, there was
-
many great things that did happen after that. But jumping
-
from there, Amen, over to verse number sixteen, it seemed
-
like the devil, Amen try to put a spin on
-
some things.
-
Amen.
-
Amen, But Trueman of God, Amen, don't cower down amen
-
to what the devil puts. Amen, a spin on situations. Amen,
-
I'm thankful that we have a pastor.
-
Amen.
-
I'm about to read it, but I'm thankful we don't
-
have a pastor.
-
Amen. When the enemy tries to come in. Amen.
-
Don't look for a way out. Amen, don't try to
-
look for a way to run and go and hide.
-
Amen.
-
Because right here in verse number sixteen, it says, and
-
it came to pass as we went to prayer, a
-
certain damsel possessed with the spirit of divination met bus,
-
which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying.
-
Amen.
-
Right there, Amen, divination means demonic or human rituals rather
-
than God's divine revelation. So truly, right there, that explains Amen,
-
that this damsel had been messing around with some wrong things, Amen,
-
and had become possessed by a devil.
-
Amen.
-
No doubt she wished she never would have had part
-
of Amen. But still right there, that didn't throw fear
-
into paul in Silas's life.
-
Amen.
-
That didn't make them turn and go and say, you
-
know what, it's been good so far. I know God
-
sent us out here and so far Amen. With Lydia
-
in her house, that's all let up. Amen, it's been good.
-
Amen. But now we're dealing with the devil possessed damsel. Amen.
-
That didn't Amen, make them turn and go. Amen. Right
-
there in verse is seventeen.
-
Amen, it says the same followed Pete followed Paul and
-
Us and Crist saying, these men are the servants of
-
the most tight God, which show us under this way
-
of salvation.
-
And this did she many days.
-
But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit,
-
I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to
-
come out of her.
-
As he came out the same hour. Amen.
-
It said that when her masters saw that the hope
-
of their gains were going, they caught Paul, caught Paul
-
and Silace and drew them into the marketplace and the rulers.
-
So right here Amen, Paul. Amen said, Hey, I gotta
-
deal with this situation.
-
Amen. Not everything's gonna be a bed of roses. Amen.
-
Here's a person Amen that's not like Lydia.
-
Amen if you was the total opposite. Amen. But she
-
needs to hear the word of God. Amen. And if
-
she doesn't want to hear, you know what I'll do.
-
I'll just go ahead, amen and command the dead would
-
go out of her.
-
Amen. And that's what he done.
-
Amen, he come in the Amen the devil to go.
-
And I believe Amen. When God has a man Amen,
-
with such a relationship.
-
As that, Amen. When the devil. Amen is rebuked. Amen.
-
The devil has to go out.
-
Amen. But there was some men that day. If you
-
want the men over her Amen. Her masters didn't like
-
it too much.
-
Amen. Amen, they didn't like it. Amen. That are sooth
-
saying was gone.
-
Amen, because you know if that man Amen, their pockets
-
Amen would be running a little bit dry.
-
Amen. They wouldn't be getting all the extra money. Amen.
-
They would be Amen if she wouldn't have had the
-
devil cast out of her Amen.
-
Brock there it still rings true today. Amen.
-
When the pastor, Amen, the preacher, the man of God
-
is on a mission, Amen, starts to tear down what
-
the devil has built for those Amen. Those foul spirits
-
Amen tried to come in and destroy.
-
Amen. So many people Amen, get upset with them. Amen.
-
Amen, that's why we must pray Amen in fast Amen
-
for the man of God who is challenging.
-
Amen, those devils to be gone. Amen.
-
That's why we must get in behind the man of
-
God who stands in the gap.
-
Amen. And tried to drive back to the demons of Hell. Amen.
-
I don't know how many masters she had over her
-
that day. Amen.
-
There could have been a hor multitude of people Amen.
-
Amen came against Paul and Silas.
-
Amen.
-
But I believe it was one or two amen, or
-
fifty or sixty Amen.
-
They didn't back down, they didn't tuck telling run.
-
You know what it took, Amen, It took them guys
-
having to bring them into a certain place Amen, and
-
capturing them, Amen, and locking them up and putting them
-
in a prison cell.
-
Hallelujah. Amen.
-
Paul and Silas was not trying to teach customs amen,
-
as they have been accused of. They were just offering
-
a cure amen of hope, Amen, A cure Amen of repentance. Amen,
-
A cure Amen that you can be washed by the
-
blood if you really do want it.
-
Amen.
-
So don't accuse Amen, the man of God in your life.
-
Amen.
-
Who Amen, he's not trying to teach you just a custom, Amen,
-
something that'll get you by. He's just offering you a
-
cure Amen, Amen, that your sins could be washed away.
-
Amen.
-
Don't amen fuss accused the pastor Amen and say you
-
know what, Amen, He's really not on my side.
-
Amen. I'm telling you he's.
-
Offering, Amen, you a cure, Amen, just like Paul Amen
-
offered the damsel of cure that day. Amen, although it amen,
-
send him into prison.
-
Amen.
-
Amen, our pastor would go into prison for you to
-
not Amen.
-
I believe it took amen for that devil to come out. Amen.
-
I pray, amen, Tony, that some people will just take
-
keen Amen to what's being said. Amen, in these services, Amen,
-
and the revivals, Amen, that we've been heven Amen.
-
And at this.
-
Point Amen, they knew Amen. They were both locked up, tired, Amen.
-
Their feet was fasteneding stalks. And on top of that, Amen,
-
they were in the inner prison.
-
Amen.
-
The people amen charged the prisoner. Amen, you better take
-
you better take care of these guys. Don't let them
-
come out if you would, Amen, So you better cast
-
them in a place Amen, where no man can get
-
to them.
-
Amen. And they have nowhere to get out. Amen.
-
But if you look at it here right there, I
-
believe you'll find it in verse number twenty four. Who
-
have received such a charge thrust them into the inner
-
prison and made their feet fast in stalks.
-
Amen. They were bound tight that day. Amen.
-
To a lot of people. They would have gave them
-
no hope to get out of there.
-
Amen.
-
But Amen, they knew they were locked up. But they
-
also knew Amen that day. You know what, I'm not alone.
-
I'm on my Amen, the father's business.
-
Amen. I've done what Amen, I know what to do.
-
I've obeyed on Amen.
-
I'd say that they wasn't in prison Amen, because of
-
a sinful act.
-
Amen. They wasn't in prison.
-
Amen, called them a foolish Ackno, so many people we
-
see today, Amen. And they knew they weren't alone Amen.
-
Not because Paul had Silas or Silace had Paul, or
-
because there was a jailer amen keeping close watch on them.
-
And no doubt they were with the prisoners amen around them.
-
So they had Amen. If you would maybe a little
-
bit of company Amen, or Amen, Paul, Amen can look
-
over there, Silace and say, you know what, I'm not alone, Amen.
-
Because you're right here.
-
But they both knew Amen, there's a higher power Amen
-
in the house.
-
Amen.
-
They knew Amen, God was beside them, Amen. And they
-
knew the Holy Ghost was overshadow on them.
-
Amen.
-
So I want to tell you tonight, and I might
-
not be really preaching to a sinner particularly, but I
-
want to preach amen to the satan myself.
-
Amen.
-
There's sometimes the devil will try to come in Amen,
-
and fast Amen. A stalk around us Amen, and try
-
to throw into a temptation.
-
Amen our way.
-
Amen. But we must realize amen. Just because he thinks Amen,
-
we're locked up.
-
Amen. Don't have to make us face to feed. Amen.
-
We don't hey man have to look and say, Amen,
-
you know what, I'm not alone?
-
Amen. They knew that day they weren't alone.
-
Hallelujah, Praise God, Amen, Thank you Lord, Hallelujah. Paul and
-
Silas was in a physical jail Amen, with physical stalks
-
on their feet.
-
Amen.
-
It don't have to be a physical sell Amen. It
-
don't have to be a physical prison Amen. For you
-
to feel bound in your life, like I said. Amen, Amen,
-
no Christian Amen, living right will be bound. But that's
-
where it starts.
-
Amen.
-
There's small things, amen, small stalks that the devil tries
-
to Amen. Clamp on that leg amen, or when you
-
put your hand, they tries to grab your hand and say,
-
you know what, I got you right there?
-
Amen.
-
But all the experiences that you had in the Holy
-
ghost Amen, makes you just want to say that you
-
know what, devil. Amen, I'm not alone. Amen, I've got
-
Amen so much Amen. A higher power Amen, overshadowing me. Amen, hallelujah.
-
It says right there in Amen, verse number twenty five. Amen,
-
it says in at midnight, Paul and Silace prayed and
-
sing praise is unto God, and the prisoners heard them.
-
Amen.
-
Paul and Silas knew what they had to do, Amen,
-
to receive a breakthrough.
-
Amen.
-
I don't know what songs they were singing, what songs
-
they would have had back then, but no doubt they
-
were songs of praise, Amen, songs of rejoicing Amen, songs
-
of you know what, Lord, I've been obedient under you.
-
Amen. You hear my cry.
-
This is my only hope to get out of the
-
state that I'm in.
-
Amen.
-
God, If you'll just overshadow us. Amen, we'll go on
-
about our journey.
-
Amen.
-
Amen, and still be faithful Amen. Ministers, Amen, and faithful
-
servants unto you.
-
Hallelujah. Amen.
-
Paul and Silace wasn't the only men up. If you
-
look over there and acts chapter number four, you'll find, Amen,
-
we're other great men of God.
-
Amen, face some persecution. Amen.
-
You'll find where Peter and John Amen. After the amen
-
had been laid at the gate called beautiful Amen, And
-
after they told him, Amen, you know what, rise up
-
and walk.
-
Amen.
-
We don't have silver and goat for you, amen, but
-
we serve a god Amen.
-
Much better than that. Amen. Rise up and walk. Came
-
in after all that. Amen.
-
Over in verse chapter number four. Amen, as they began
-
to speak.
-
Amen. There's some men that had a problem with them amen.
-
The priest amen, the captain of the temple amen, the
-
sad you sees.
-
Amen.
-
They came against them that day Amen, and they locked
-
them up.
-
Amen.
-
But you'll find right there in verse number four Amen.
-
The five thousand men believed that day. And I believe
-
that Peter and John was right here.
-
Amen.
-
They would say, you know what, Amen, we were locked
-
up that night. We had to spend the night in jail.
-
But hey, there's five thousand men that just believed. Right there, Amen,
-
I'd do it all over again. There's five thousand more
-
that just received God as their savior.
-
Amen. Amen. How amen, far would you go? Amen? For
-
your neighbor? Amen, how far would you go? Amen? Amen?
-
For with the burden, Amen, for the pastor amen, amen,
-
the countless knights Amen. He said, you know what, I'm
-
willing to stay up and stick it out with them.
-
Amen. Would you be willing to do the same. Amen.
-
Peter and John, Amen, Paul and Silas Amen had a
-
heart Amen towards the people of God.
-
Amen. They had a heart. Amen.
-
If it goes good, Amen, praise the Lord. And if
-
we get thrown in jail, Amen, God's gonna bring us out.
-
Hallelujam and acts chapter four.
-
Amen.
-
In verse number eighteen, it says, and they called them
-
and commanded them to speak.
-
Amen. This is now mind you. This is after Peter. Amen.
-
They were locked up counsel. Amen. Done called them, and
-
he had a sermon to preach to them. Amen. He
-
didn't keep his mouth shut. Amen.
-
Over there, in verse number thirteen, it says, now when
-
they saw the boldness of Peter and John and perceived
-
that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled and
-
they took knowledge of them that they had been with Jesus.
-
Amen. Those men of God had been with Jesus. Amen.
-
That's why they had Amen, the.
-
Power of the Holy ghost dwelling on the inside to say,
-
you know what, Amen, if you take me that, that's
-
what you gotta do to make me happy.
-
Amen.
-
I'm just happy knowing Amen, that there's five thousand more
-
that's being outed.
-
Amen.
-
But right there in verse number eighteen, it says, and
-
they called them and commanded them naught to speak at all,
-
nor teaching the name of Jesus. But Peter and John
-
answered and said under them, whether it be right in
-
the sight of God to hearken under you more than
-
unto God judging Amen. If it matters more to you
-
that we don't speak, amen, or if it matters unto us, Amen.
-
You're gonna be the judge on that Amen. But God's
-
gonna be the judge over my personal life. Amen.
-
So in verse number twenty, Amen, he goes on and says,
-
we for we cannot but speak Amen, the things which
-
we have seen and heard.
-
Amen.
-
For we amen, we can't amen not expressing Amen, How
-
could you not express it?
-
We spend a night in jail. Amen. But I'm still amen.
-
Gonna amen profess Amen that the Lord amen is King
-
of Kings.
-
Amen.
-
And that feels amen a amen healed Amen, that there
-
was five thousand souls just saved.
-
Amen. I'm telling you to not.
-
We can't hold back our praise amen, even if the
-
seas like during the lowest spot Amen, or if it
-
seems like you're in the tightest quarters bound.
-
Amen. I'm telling you that's a way to get unbound.
-
Amen, is lifting up the name of Jesus, Amen, and
-
lifting up some praise under him.
-
Hallelujah, Praise God, Hallelujah, Thank you Lord. Amen. Looking back
-
over Amen.
-
At the sixteenth chapter of Acts, Amen, you'll find Amen,
-
where like I said in verse number twenty five, Amen,
-
at midnight, Paul and Silas prayed and saying, praise is
-
under God, and the prisoners heard them, And suddenly there
-
was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the
-
prison were shaken. And immediately all the doors were open,
-
and everyone's bands were loosed. And the keeper of the prison,
-
awakening out of his sleep and seeing the prison doors open,
-
he drew out his sword and would have killed himself,
-
supposing that the prisoners had been fled. That shows you
-
right there what those men meant to those people.
-
Amen.
-
That prisoner, Amen knew if they catch me, and they
-
know that them guys have gotten loose, Amen, those men
-
of God are back out there the gospel.
-
They're gonna have my height. Amen. So Amen.
-
In his mind, Amen, he thought, you know what, I'm
-
just gonna go ahead and take it myself.
-
Amen. But it says Paul cried with the loud voice, saying,
-
do thyself no harm, for we are all here. Then
-
he caught for a light.
-
And sprang in and came trembling and fell down before
-
Paul and Silas and brought them out and said, sirs,
-
what must I do to be saved? And I don't know, amen,
-
what you're going through to not but you must realize, amen,
-
what I'm going through at this moment.
-
I'm not alone. Amen.
-
And there's a God in heaven Amen, saying Amen, come
-
and dine.
-
Amen. The Master's calling, come and dine. Amen.
-
And but you must have a heart like that, Amen.
-
Prison guard to say, what must I do? Amen, to
-
be saved? What must I do to get the shackles?
-
Amen? That the devil's trying? Amen off of me. Hallelujah.
-
They said, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou
-
shalt be saved. And the house Amen, you'll find later on.
-
I'm not gonna be too much longer, but you'll find
-
later on.
-
Amen.
-
How that prison guard amen took them to his house, Amen,
-
and how he cleaned Amen, the wounds on Paul and
-
Silas's back Amen.
-
Amen. And how he just cleaned them up. Amen.
-
A man Amen that was stood there Amen and fought
-
against him. If you would, if you were willing to
-
guard one of God's men, Amen, you are no doubt
-
against them.
-
Amen.
-
But he went from Amen being against him, to say,
-
and you know what, come on to my house, Amen,
-
I've got something for you. I'll try to at least
-
make it up. Amen, because you told me about a
-
man named Jesus.
-
Amen.
-
I'm thankful amen that we have a man of God
-
Amen that teaches us.
-
Amen. Amen.
-
And all the times Amen, that the world puts strips
-
in our back.
-
Amen.
-
He cries out and says, Amen, you know, come on
-
to bathl Amen. We're willing to offer you some restoration.
-
Amen. We're willing to offer you amen, some rehabilitation. Amen.
-
If we could all stand here tonight over.
-
In Isaiah chapter fifty nine, in verse nineteen, it says, show,
-
so shall I fear, They fear the name of the
-
Lord from the west and his glory from the rising
-
of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like
-
a flood, the spirit of the Lord shall lift up
-
a standard against him.
-
Amen. I'm thankful that we have a God. Amen. Amen. Amen.
-
Whenever it may be midnight, Amen, midday in the morning,
-
it don't matter.
-
Amen.
-
But when the enemy tries to come in, Amen, and amen,
-
clamp those shackles on you. Amen, are come in and
-
try to pollute your heart and mind Amen, with things
-
you know they shouldn't be there.
-
Amen. I'm thankful amen that there's a Amen. Amen.
-
