  1. Tight grip on God. But I'm here this evening because

  2. He's got his grip in my life. I'm in the

  3. grip one man said, of God's grace.

  4. Thank God.

  5. I'm glad there's a promise that he said that no

  6. man can pluck us out of the Father's hand, and

  7. no man can pluck us out of his hand. Thank God.

  8. Amen.

  9. Appreciate the Lord this evening, and again appreciate Pastor Howell

  10. giving us this opportunity and trusting us to minister in

  11. his absence. And appreciate the church and the fellowship we

  12. always enjoy when we come, the good services, the good

  13. music's wonderful, fellowship's wonderful. Appreciate it so much. And we'll

  14. try not to be long tonight. I've been accused of

  15. being a long winded preacher.

  16. Amen.

  17. Anyways, we just try to follow the Lord tonight.

  18. But I don't feel like i'll be too long. Amen.

  19. Good to see everybody, all the ministry here tonight. Amen,

  20. appreciate you so much. The Book of Sack at Corinthians,

  21. chapter number five or seven rather than chapter number seven,

  22. y'all pray for me. I've been having a lot of

  23. problems with my voice. Amen, But the Lord's able to

  24. help us tonight. Amen, Sack at Corinthians, chapter number seven.

  25. We're just gonna read verses five and six tonight for

  26. our text and a little something I felt like the

  27. Lord dealt with me about to share with you, Sack

  28. at Corinthians chapter seven, verse five and six. From when

  29. we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest,

  30. but we were troubled on every side. Without, we're fightings within,

  31. we're fears. Nevertheless, God that comforted those that are cast

  32. down comforted us by the coming of Titus.

  33. Amen.

  34. Notice what it says. Nevertheless, God, Amen, if you would

  35. pray with us here tonight, Father, we thank you your love,

  36. your mercy, your grace, your goodness, all that you've done, all.

  37. That you're doing. Lord, we thank you.

  38. Ask you to help us God and minister in touch

  39. and bless that sure we will be accomplished in this service.

  40. Tonight, O wad to God that you will be done.

  41. God, speak to us and through us, Oh God, keep

  42. us to be able to be a blessing to your people.

  43. We'll give you.

  44. Praise and honoring all that you do for us. In

  45. the wonderful Holy name of Jesus. Amen, in these two

  46. verses I read to you in life. There's a lot

  47. of things being said here, And of course I believe

  48. he's probably speaking to a specific situation.

  49. In his life at that particular time. But I believe

  50. that we could take these scriptures and we could apply

  51. them to ourselves, and we can relate to what the

  52. apostle Paul is saying here.

  53. Amen.

  54. Just a lot of things being said in these two

  55. short verses. The first thing I want you to notice

  56. in verse five, it starts off and it says, for

  57. when we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest.

  58. In other words, they were saying, he was saying, we

  59. were weary, we were tired, Amen, we were weak, so

  60. to speak, Amen, our flesh had no rest. They were

  61. singing that song before service start started. Take my hand,

  62. precious Lord, and in part of that song, Lord, I'm tired.

  63. Amen.

  64. I think it says something along those lines, and I

  65. think we could all relate to that. You know, whether

  66. you're in ministry or not, there's times that we have

  67. so much going on. I mean, we've got jobs men, folks,

  68. you're paying you know, working to pay the bills, supply

  69. and meet.

  70. The need of your family.

  71. You got the housewives that that has little.

  72. Kids running around, children running around, and you're you're taking

  73. care of that. You're you're cooking, you're preparing meals, and

  74. you just you know, yard work, housework, honeydew list men, folks, anybody.

  75. Know what that's about? Uh?

  76. And uh you know, and not only that but church,

  77. you know, your churching, your ministry. My daughter was telling

  78. me about, you know, the churchmen involved in so different

  79. ministries and I say, that's commendable. That's wonderful, Brother Samuel,

  80. to see a church that has a vision and a

  81. burden to make a difference in their community.

  82. I think you have jail service, you have homeless service.

  83. Or you know, pass out food to the homeless and

  84. the hungry, and and and and whatever other ministries that

  85. you're involved in. Amen, just a lot going on, and

  86. sometimes we don't have enough hours in the day to

  87. do it all. And you know, we're working, we're we're

  88. you know, doing all those necessary things and then trying

  89. to maintain our spiritual life, praying our Bibles, studying the

  90. Word of God. You don't understand what I'm saying, and

  91. I don't think I'm the only one that's been tied

  92. up with work all day and kind of get you know,

  93. just wrapped up and things to do. That when when

  94. I'm fixing the go to bed, I realized I haven't

  95. really prayed like I needed to today, or I haven't

  96. spent as much time in the Word of God that

  97. I needed to spend today. And so we'll we'll try

  98. to make up the difference and fall asleep, amen, or

  99. you know, get tired and you know, don't feel like

  100. it's doing a bit of good because we're so tired

  101. and we're and that's what I feel like Paul was

  102. saying in this scripture.

  103. He was saying, first of all, hey man, as.

  104. We were going about doing the will of God, trying

  105. to follow the leadership of the Spirit of God, he said,

  106. we were in our.

  107. Flesh, we had no rest. You know.

  108. Just give you a little a snippet of the life

  109. of Paul a minute after he was saved, and we

  110. can find in Acts chapter sixteen, verse six, they're preaching

  111. the gospel. They're promoting the Kingdom of God, and the

  112. Bible said they were going throughout the region of Galatia,

  113. and they were ministering and preaching, and the Bible said

  114. that apparently Paul had a desire to go into Asia,

  115. but the Holy Ghost forbidd him. And then it goes

  116. on to say, and they came to Missia, and they

  117. endeavored to go to Bethnia, but the spirits suffered them not.

  118. And of course they're going on and during the night,

  119. Paul has a vision, and the Bible says in that

  120. vision that there's a man from Macedonia saying, we need help.

  121. Come down to Macedonia and help us.

  122. And the Bible said that as he woke up or

  123. either I don't know if it was a dream or

  124. exactly how it was, but the Bible says, a vision,

  125. hey men.

  126. But the Bible says to us that.

  127. When he immediately after having this vision, he said, we

  128. endeavored to go into Macedonia, assuredly, gathering that the Lord

  129. had called us for to preach the gospel under the

  130. m Do you see how busy he is. He's not

  131. sitting idle, hey man. He was practicing what he preached.

  132. What did he say in Epheesis five and sixteen? He said,

  133. redeeming the time because the days are evil. In other words,

  134. he was saying the.

  135. Time's running out.

  136. Hey man, life is short, and we've got to occupy

  137. till it comes.

  138. There's a great work.

  139. To do, and we don't have time to sit back

  140. and take it easy and become idle. We must redeem

  141. the time because the days are evil. And I wonder

  142. here tonight and now I'm sure many of us, and

  143. most of us, and probably all of the adults in

  144. this place can relate to what Paul was saying.

  145. I don't have the energy. I'm tired. There's so much

  146. going on. Amen.

  147. He said, Hey man, we had no rest in our flesh.

  148. And I understand that our text doesn't mention this, but

  149. I think it's worth bringing to your attention. In the

  150. Book of Zachar Corinthians, chapter number two, verse number twelve

  151. and thirteen, he says, furthermore, when I came to Troy

  152. ass to preach Christ's gospel, and a door was open

  153. unto me of the Lord. You see that, I mean

  154. he's going wide open, working for the Kingdom of God.

  155. And notice what he said in verse thirteen. And I

  156. had no rest in my spirit.

  157. Amen.

  158. One commentator said he was literally saying, hey man, I

  159. had no peace of mind. The burden of the ministry

  160. weighed heavy on me, hey mad And I was trying

  161. to work, and I was trying to labor, and I

  162. was tired in my flesh, but also in my mind,

  163. in my spirit, I was troubled. Aymen, my heart was heavy,

  164. and I believe every one of us can relate to that.

  165. How many times have we went to God in prayer

  166. and it seemed like he was hard to focus in

  167. because our minds were on troubles or lost love ones

  168. or situations that were beyond our control. Amen, and there

  169. was no rest in our spirit. And I know your

  170. precious pastor and his wife can relate to this man

  171. just trying to keep up with all the ordinary things

  172. of life on top of the ministry and the burden

  173. of the church, and there's that element of not being

  174. able to rest. He said, I had no rest in

  175. my spirit. And I believe that's what the Psalmist was

  176. referring to in Psalm seventy seventh, verse one through For

  177. I cried under God when my voice saving under God

  178. with my voice, and He gave earing to me.

  179. In the day of my trouble.

  180. I sought the Lord, he said, My Sorrah ran in

  181. the night. What that literally means was my hand was

  182. stretched God him the night I was reaching God.

  183. I gotta have you, God, I need you.

  184. Life is hard, Amen, circumstances are difficult.

  185. It's your help. He went on to.

  186. Say, my soul refused to be comforted. In other words,

  187. he wasn't say I didn't.

  188. Want to be.

  189. What he was saying was it felt like I couldn't be.

  190. I remembered God and much troubled. I complained. Hain't none

  191. of us ever done that before?

  192. Have we?

  193. Sometimes pastor's job is a lot more difficult because of that, Samen.

  194. I complained, and he said, in my spirit was overwhelmed, Hayman.

  195. What he was saying was I feel covered up. I

  196. felt smothered. Heymen, I feel like the Lord is too heavy.

  197. My spirit is overwhelmed. And there's times we come to church, Amen,

  198. and the pastor encourages us we need to worship God.

  199. And we knew we left our hands, but in our

  200. minds we're saying, it's matter. How can I worship God

  201. when I'm troubled like this?

  202. Sir? How can I glorify God when I'm hurting like this? Sir?

  203. Haymen, David said my spirit is overwhelmed. I wonder tonight

  204. am I preaching anybody that would say, not only am

  205. I weary in my flesh, but I'm weary in my spirit.

  206. It's not that I wanna quit, It's not that I

  207. want to give up. It's not that I want to backslide.

  208. You may say, Brother Jamey, I've never felt like that. Well,

  209. hold on, that's gonna come a time in your life.

  210. That's your will. Amen, par amen.

  211. Joy, I'm you'll help me here.

  212. Job said man that it's more a woman has a

  213. few days and full of trouble.

  214. Jesus said, all that live godly upon it.

  215. It shall how they live God in Christ, Jesus shall

  216. suffer persecution. Jesus said, in the world, you're gonna have tribulations.

  217. In other words, it's not gonna always be easy. It's

  218. not gonna always be running and shouting and speaking in tongues.

  219. There's gonna be some long, dark nights, Hey man, sleepless night.

  220. Even though you're weary in your flesh, you can't sleep.

  221. In fact, he said, in that same place, thou holdest

  222. my eyes awaking. I am so troubled that I cannot speak.

  223. Amen.

  224. I mean, I try to pray, I try to call

  225. on his name, and words leave me. I can't express

  226. the way that I feel weary and flesh in spirit.

  227. Amen.

  228. Then he goes on and he says, he says, but

  229. we were troubled on every side. Amen, we were troubled

  230. on every side.

  231. Amen.

  232. Kind of sounds like what he said in Psach of

  233. Corinthians four and eight. We are troubled on every side.

  234. We are perplexed. We are and I'm gonna read the

  235. rest of that later on. If I don't forget, Amen,

  236. we are persecuted, we are cast down. Amen, Paul saying

  237. we were troubled on every side. And then he says,

  238. without amen, coming from the outside, Amen, for without we're fightings.

  239. And that word fighting means conflict, It means a clash.

  240. He means a struggle. Anybody relate to that. Tonight you

  241. feel like you're in the fight of your life. Hay Man,

  242. You feel like, hey man, will you win this battle?

  243. You get through this trial, then another and then another,

  244. hay Man, Paul said, without word fightings. I read over

  245. in the Book of Second Corinthan, chapter eleven, verse twenty four. Amen,

  246. this you think you got a bad man. You think

  247. you think you got a reason to quit.

  248. Let me read just a little bit of what he

  249. said of the Jews.

  250. Five times received down forty stripes save one. Thrice was

  251. I beaten with rods, once was I stoned? Thrice I

  252. suffered him wreck. Hey man, a night, and I've been

  253. in the deep well. But Jamie, they've been saying this,

  254. they've been doing that. You just don't understand what I'm

  255. going through, what I'm facing. Let me keep on reading.

  256. In journeyings often in pails of waters, in perils of robbers,

  257. in perils by my own countrymen, in perils by the heathen,

  258. in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness,

  259. in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren.

  260. Hey man, I tell you, brother, and it.

  261. Keeps on going, in weariness and in painfulness, in watchings often,

  262. in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, and he even said,

  263. in cold head and nakedness. There's been times we didn't

  264. have shelter over our head. There's been time we didn't

  265. have enough clothes to keep us warm. Without we're fightings, amen,

  266. without he said Psach of Corinthians, chapter one, verse eight nine,

  267. or verse chapter eight or chapter one, verse eight, for

  268. we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble

  269. which came to us in Asia that we were pressed out?

  270. We weren't pressed out above pressed out of measure above strength.

  271. I want to read that again.

  272. We were pressed out a measure above strength, and so

  273. much that we despaired even of life when we thought

  274. this is surely it. Hey man, this is all there

  275. is to it. We're gonna die this. There's no way

  276. we're gonna get out of this one. You ever felt

  277. like that? I said, have you ever felt that way?

  278. Without? We're fightings? Amen? Then he went on to say,

  279. within within, we're fears.

  280. I know sometimes we put on our happy face, and

  281. I know sometimes we go to church and we act

  282. like everything's good and we're not struggling.

  283. And let me tell you this, I don't want to

  284. be that.

  285. Kind of person that when I show up, everybody knows

  286. I'm in a hard place. There's a lot of people

  287. that they just walk around that they act away because

  288. that they want sympathy. They're not since you're amen, they

  289. just want somebody to feel sorry for them.

  290. Amen.

  291. And don't get me wrong, there's many times I wanted

  292. somebody to feel well, Amen, But most of us aren't

  293. that way. In fact, I don't come a whole lot.

  294. I've come a whole lot more for could I promise you, Amy,

  295. I got some things to draw me down this way.

  296. You understand what I'm saying. But I don't get to

  297. come as much as I want. But the times that

  298. I knew get to come. Hey Man, I don't see

  299. you coming to church with a long face. I don't

  300. see you, hey man, when the service opens up, sitting back,

  301. not trying to get in, not trying to press, not

  302. trying to push. I see folks trying to get in

  303. in half. I move a God and have church. I

  304. see folks that are not just spectators but participators.

  305. Amen.

  306. But be honest, how many times when you're lifting up

  307. that hand on the inside, the devils are working the

  308. Haymen that Ne was trying to put fear and down

  309. and under.

  310. I wouldn't praise God ifire you.

  311. I wouldn't worship God, if I I wasn't going to church.

  312. If fire you hay Man with then worth fears.

  313. And we're talking about the apostle, Paul. Here, we're not

  314. talking about a coward. We're not talking about a weak need, amen,

  315. yellow back, Amen, We're talking about a man of God.

  316. That's right.

  317. We're talking about a man that got stoned and they

  318. carried him out of the city, lefting for dead. But

  319. he got right back up, hey man. Whether he was

  320. wasn't there, or or God raised him from the dead,

  321. I don't know, but he got right back up. Had

  322. he kept on preaching, We're not talking about a coward.

  323. But even the apostle Paul said that we're tied that

  324. I was afraid. There were times that the devil trying

  325. to sol down in my heart. You remember when he

  326. was saw the Lord over that thought in the flesh,

  327. the messenger of Satan to buffet him. The hey man,

  328. what was the devil saying? A lot of what he

  329. tells us. If God really loves you, Mark, you was

  330. really in the will of God herf you was really

  331. serving God like y'all to this wasn't happen and that

  332. wasn't happen. And Paul said with him, the war fears.

  333. Questions. You ain't never had questions before, have you? Wise?

  334. And what is and winds? Oh glory to God.

  335. I don't think I'm the only one here tonight. Within

  336. we're fears. You know what the word fear means alarm?

  337. Right now, I'm not gonna get into it the details,

  338. but I'm gonna tell you him. In the other night,

  339. I'm concerning, I'm worried about some of mine and I

  340. can't sleep. And the devil was trying to make me

  341. believe there is no hope and there is no help

  342. for them, hey man, And they'll never be saved, and

  343. hey man, it's only gonna get it.

  344. It's only gonna get worse from here.

  345. And what I'm trying to preach and minister and do

  346. my little part, hey man. Then never was trying to

  347. make me believe, hey man, that God's now gonna answer

  348. my prayer and God's not gonna move it in the situations.

  349. And did I see some of my family? And you

  350. understand what I'm saying. And I cannot even sleep for

  351. worry and fear. I understand me within worth fears in fact,

  352. and that same part of Scripture when he talked about

  353. stononings and meetings and ship recked dangers, hey man, he's

  354. head beside those things that are without that much coming

  355. upon me daily. The cares of all the churches, the

  356. burdens and the worries of all the churches.

  357. Who is weak? And I am not weak?

  358. He says, when there's a weak brother or a weak sister,

  359. or there's a situation, hey man, that let's be on hope.

  360. Hey man, there's a struggle there. I feel the load

  361. of it. I feel the burden of it. Who is wicked?

  362. I am not? Wake? Amen? Who is offended? You want

  363. the word offending?

  364. Me?

  365. Two calls? Or to make to stumble? Who he's?

  366. Who is that person that stumbles that I'm ministered and

  367. poured into trying to help them save the from a

  368. lot of trouble. And they still fall and they stumbling,

  369. They're offended, They're made to sin, They're falling the sin.

  370. Who is offended? And I burned?

  371. Not that literally means I burned with indignation. That's an

  372. anger there, that's a righteous I'm not an unholy anger,

  373. you understand me. There is a righteous indignation when I

  374. see what the devils are doing the ham and the people.

  375. I believe I was demonstrated when when Paul was there

  376. in Philip Hie and the Bible said that young damsel

  377. came and said, these are servants of the Most High God,

  378. And the Bible said Paul being grieved. Hey, man in

  379. his spirit turned and rebuked that devil, that damon. That's

  380. what he's talking about. Who is offended, who is being

  381. caused to stumbling? Made the sin and it doesn't anger me? Preacher,

  382. why you always saw mad? I tell you, because the

  383. damos destroying lives, the damas causing folks the mess. Have

  384. I in spite of everything that God has done the

  385. same preach right, get for rough when you're preaching, you hell,

  386. you like you're angry. Let me ask you something this evening.

  387. If one of your children was playing out in the road, would.

  388. You say, baby, baby, come here, I don't want to

  389. hurt their feelings, sweetheart.

  390. Oh no, sir. You would run after that road and

  391. you'd scream and holler water you're doing. I've warned you

  392. over and.

  393. Over again, and you would just kind of jem. You'd

  394. grabbing and you jerk them. I'm not saying that's what

  395. we're supposed to do. You understand when we're ministering the people.

  396. But what I'm saying is we understand the danger. We

  397. understand the hazard, we understand the intentions of I'm saying,

  398. and it makes us saying gray.

  399. And that's what Paul was saying.

  400. Who was offended, eye burn, not within worth, fears.

  401. Within, we're fears. How many times?

  402. How many times, preachers, have you still behind this poolpit

  403. and you preach faith.

  404. And it was hard for you to believe, preacher, you

  405. a hypocrite? No, I'm not.

  406. I'm just being real tonight. How I was preaching faith

  407. and I was struggling to believe I was preaching trust, Amen,

  408. and I was struggling with it. You'll understand what's I mean?

  409. Not to the point of you, Yeah, okay, I wonder

  410. I'm just preaching what God's laying on my heart tonight.

  411. Hey man, he said with THEE And Paul said, with

  412. THEE and the world fears.

  413. I was struggling.

  414. That was a battle on men, that was that was

  415. a storm raging on the outside. How was the storm

  416. raging on the inside? And I felt like I was

  417. man literally a part Amen. I'm almost finished, Amen, Within

  418. were fears. But I like the fact that in the

  419. midst of everything that he was saying, and I'm almost

  420. finished tonight. For when we were coming to Macedonia, our

  421. flesh had no rest. We were in trouble. On every side.

  422. Without we'd fightings. Within was fear, and the devil was saying,

  423. you're not gonna make it. Why even try? Has a

  424. devilivery said that said that to you?

  425. Why even?

  426. But I just kind of feel like, as he's writing

  427. this stuff down, he's a feeling the touch of God.

  428. Well I know he is, because the Mama said, these

  429. men wrote these words down as there was moved on

  430. by the Holy Ghost. He's right, Paul, that's exactly where

  431. I am. I feel exactly the way you do. But

  432. the message ain't over yet. I said, the message ain't

  433. over yet. After all of that trouble he mentioned, after

  434. all the negativity, after all the struggles, he was mentioning nothing.

  435. He went on the sayd verse number.

  436. Six, nevertheless God, Nevertheless God. You know what that word

  437. nevertheless means. However, in spite of how be it nevertheless God,

  438. And I feel like preaching to somebody tonight. I don't

  439. know what you're facing. I don't know what the devil says.

  440. I don't know what you're going through. It may seem

  441. like there is no hope and there is no help,

  442. but I want you to get this tonight. Nevertheless, it's fine.

  443. Of whatever's going on, He's still God. He's still the

  444. same yesterday, today, forever, and he does not change, nevertheless, God.

  445. Up to that point. But when he mentions God, it

  446. changes everything. I'm gonna tell you, I'm closing. I'm closing. Nevertheless, God,

  447. which or that comforteth? We know what comfort means. It

  448. means to encourage, by Samuel, but it also means to

  449. call near. Nevertheless, God that comforteth, or God that calls

  450. us near.

  451. And when I look that word up when the Lord.

  452. First laid this message on my heart some years ago,

  453. hey man, I didn't realize that's what it meant.

  454. It meant to call near.

  455. Not only is he trying to encourage, but he say, hey,

  456. bring it to me, give it to me, don't carry

  457. it alone. You don't have to handle that problem by yourself.

  458. I thought about the words of Jesus and many times

  459. when we reference these when we're talking to the lost.

  460. But I want to tell your church it's for us

  461. to She just said.

  462. Come unto me, Oh you that labor and her heavy laden,

  463. and I will give you.

  464. Rest.

  465. I'm tired and flesher. I'm tired of spirit. I'm troubled

  466. on every side without fighters, with the affairs coming to me.

  467. Are you that labor and her heavy laden? And I'll

  468. give you rest. Take my yoka panya and learn of me,

  469. for I'm making lowly and heart, and ye shall find rest.

  470. So one of my favorite, one of my favorites.

  471. If somebody gets us so, yeah.

  472. I always get y'all brother's brother Jesse. Right, you think

  473. I know by now? Sometimes I get my grandbabies mixed up.

  474. I know who they are, but I get the name

  475. Praise God.

  476. David said in Psalms chapter three, Lord, how are they

  477. increased that trouble me? Many are they that rise up

  478. against me? Many there be, would say of my soul

  479. there is no help for him, And God be honest tonight.

  480. As the devil ever told you that there's no help

  481. for you, there's no help for you. There is no

  482. help for him, and God no help, no help.

  483. Man.

  484. Maybe Paul was saying, when he was pressed out above measure,

  485. above strength, that he even despaired under life. Amen, that's

  486. what he was saying. I felt like there was no help.

  487. Amen.

  488. But the Psalm has kept on right, and he says,

  489. but thou, o Lord, ord to shield from me my

  490. glory and to lift her up.

  491. In mine head. And he went from not being able

  492. to rest and not being able.

  493. To sleep, struggling and troubling turmoil, to saying, I cried.

  494. I cried into the Lord of my voice, and he

  495. heard me out of his holy hell.

  496. I give it to him. I give it to him.

  497. Do you need to give it to God?

  498. To night? He said.

  499. I laid me down and slept him, and he said,

  500. before I went to sleep today, well says you'll never

  501. wake up. But he said, I'll wait, and the Lord

  502. sustained me. I made it. I made it.

  503. I will not be afraid.

  504. I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people

  505. that have set themselves against me. Roundabout arise, O Lord,

  506. save me, oh my God, for thy smelling all mine enemies.

  507. Upon the cheek bone that's broken, the teeth of.

  508. The ungodly salvation be longer under the Lord. Thy blessings

  509. is upon thy people. What I'm saying tonight, church is,

  510. hey man, when life is overwhelminga hey maden heavy and

  511. you can't only hardly lift your hands and lift your head,

  512. hey man, Never the last God, I said, never the

  513. last God. I tell you that's illustrated in Genesis one.

  514. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was

  515. upon the face of the deep.

  516. Has that ever been your situation? Without form?

  517. Chaos, void, darkness upon the face of the deep. But

  518. the Bible said, and the spirit of God mood. We

  519. can say like this, the earth was without form and void.

  520. He was a bleak situation, darkness upon the face of

  521. the deep. Nevertheless, God Amen. And when God began to move,

  522. he transformed.

  523. Oh, brother Kurt Phillips, y'all, remember, brother Curtis Phillips, did

  524. he ever preach for y'all?

  525. He's gone to meet his reward. Wonderful man.

  526. He preached from hey man, from chaos to cosmos. He

  527. brought perfect order into the darkest, bleakest situation this world

  528. has ever in known. And if he can do that

  529. for this world in the beginning of creation, what can

  530. he do with your situation? As another place? There's another place?

  531. Mark Chapter six. Jesus sends his disciples to the other

  532. side of the sea, and they're in the midst of

  533. the sea alone. He's over there, sending the molt to

  534. the way and praying, and the Bible said, they got

  535. caught in a storm. In one place, the Bible said,

  536. not only had the waves it might not have been

  537. the same situation, but in one of them, not only

  538. had the waves beat against the outside of the ship

  539. without fightings, but the waves got on the inside of

  540. the ship. The ship was now full in one place.

  541. Within were fears, and they begin to become afraid, and

  542. they was tolling in there, rowing. But the Bible said,

  543. Jesus solving the fourth watch of the night, and he

  544. came to where they was. Hey man, Nevertheless, God, Paul

  545. and Silace in the Philippian jail, I'm closing tonight. I

  546. wish I could have done better for you, heymen, In

  547. that Philippian jail, because God sent them there a man

  548. locked up feet fasting stalks. Hey man, the devil's no

  549. telling what he was saying to him. But the Bible said,

  550. but at midnight Paul and Silace prayed and same praises.

  551. And the Bible said, the prisoners hurt them, and suddenly

  552. there was a great earthquake.

  553. Nevertheless, y God, amen, I know, heymen, I.

  554. Know I'm struggling here tonight, but I feel like telling

  555. you I don't know where you're at and what you're facing,

  556. but don't forget God's in your life.

  557. Don't leave God out of the equation. Amen.

  558. They always tell me that what's on one side of

  559. the equation, it's going to be on the other side.

  560. Amen.

  561. I believe God's on this side of the equation, and

  562. I believe when we get on the other side of it,

  563. He's going to be there.

  564. Praise God, He's going to be there. He'll never leave us,

  565. no forsake us. Will is standing tonight a general awler

  566. called tonight, which you like to come and praise seek

  567. the Lord everyone that can. Heymen, if you're here tonight

  568. and you need help, you got good brothers and sisters

  569. that are pray with you tonight.

  570. They'll bear your burdens with you. You're not in this alone.

  571. You got a pastor and a pastor's wife, and you

  572. got a church. You got ministers, lay ministers, and amen,

  573. other preachers in this church. Amen, they're here to help

  574. you bear that burden. Why won't you come, Let's pray

  575. together and let the Lord help us here in this service.
