  7. Wow. What does this mean? It means it's

  8. NFL kickoff Sunday. I would have wore a

  9. jersey, but Notre Dame didn't do so hot

  10. last night, so I thought I'd rep GSC.

  11. But with that, I want everybody to stand

  12. back up for me. We're going to have some

  13. fun. Bring some hype into this place

  14. today. And I know you guys all may have

  15. a team that you represent, whether it's

  16. football, basketball, hockey, what

  17. whatever it might be. I on the count of

  18. three, I want everybody to say it the

  19. loudest that they can say their favorite

  20. team. And I might have a little special

  21. gift if I can hear the loudest person.

  22. So on the count of three, one, two,

  23. three.

  24. [Music]

  25. >> All right. Hey. All right, let's do it

  26. one more time. One, two, three.

  27. All right. Well, hey, let's put our

  28. hands together. We're going to call up

  29. Coach Ben as he kicks us off here as we

  30. just see what's going on at GSC. Let's

  31. go.

  32. >> Y'all are too crazy for me. Praise the

  33. Lord. We have a seat this morning.

  34. >> You know, I just get to be the

  35. undercoach. The father in heaven's the

  36. coach. Amen.

  37. >> Amen.

  38. >> Well, hey, we're kicking off uh week two

  39. of our uh Capitol campaign and and uh

  40. kind of fun with the football theme. And

  41. uh I want to share with you talked last

  42. week a little bit about the the why

  43. behind the what and we had uh 90%

  44. positive feedback from you guys. U we've

  45. been working on this for uh three years,

  46. four years and over this last year God's

  47. really challenged us to get serious

  48. about it. And so uh man, we just got a a

  49. good uh positive feedback. And uh you

  50. know the heart of this church and and

  51. let me just share with you there's

  52. different models of church and different

  53. things of church. We are an evangelistic

  54. church.

  55. >> Amen.

  56. >> It's in our DNA. It's just kind of who

  57. we are and uh you know we're God's

  58. growing the church over 50 plus percent

  59. over the last 18 months. We we've seen

  60. an increase and and thankful for that.

  61. Uh but what the church that we're now,

  62. we joke around with pastors, uh we don't

  63. want to be sheep thieves.

  64. In other words, we don't want people

  65. that, you know, they they got saved in

  66. this church, they've been serving there,

  67. that maybe they've been to two or three

  68. churches, and then they they don't like

  69. their church anymore, and so they come

  70. because they like our flavor of church,

  71. our brand of church a little bit better.

  72. Uh and so that's not our main mission.

  73. It's not to say that, hey, if you've

  74. been in another church and you that God

  75. called you here, man, we're going to

  76. embrace you and love you. Uh because I

  77. I've been to several different churches

  78. over my years of salvation and and uh

  79. man, there there's uh some churches that

  80. I know of that I'd say, "Get out of that

  81. church and come to a lifegiving church."

  82. You know what I mean? Because uh but but

  83. here's the mission is that sinners

  84. become saints,

  85. >> saints become disciples, and create

  86. other saints.

  87. >> Amen. Amen.

  88. >> And so, man, we're just experiencing

  89. growth. That's that's the heart of the

  90. vision. We're we're looking at what we

  91. don't want to be as a a church that uh

  92. uh are we're limited uh of who we can

  93. reach and who we can have impact for the

  94. gospel by the amount of seats we have in

  95. a room. You know, we don't want to be at

  96. capacity and and having to tell people

  97. no or tell the community no, tell

  98. sinners no, we don't have the space, you

  99. know, to do that. Man, we we want to

  100. keep up with what God's doing. and and

  101. you guys have been around here the last

  102. year, man. You've seen souls getting

  103. saved and and households getting saved,

  104. people getting delivered and freedom and

  105. plugging into connection groups and all

  106. the amazing things happening and and

  107. what God's calling us to do is say,

  108. "Hey, that let's let's expand the box a

  109. little bit and let's keep throwing fuel

  110. on the fire." And so that's the why

  111. behind the what. And so I'm going to

  112. invite our our campaign chair, Capitol

  113. campaign chair, Miss Loretta. Let's

  114. celebrate her as she comes.

  115. >> Thank you. Woo. There we go. I did that

  116. better the second time. So, hey.

  117. All right. Well, thank you guys. I just

  118. am very, uh, humbled and, um, just very

  119. appreciative to be able to serve in this

  120. capacity, in this role. So, um, coming

  121. in here, it's been amazing to watch what

  122. God is doing because we are truly, um,

  123. focused on what GSC is, the DNA. We are

  124. really, um, going to use those values.

  125. Those values have been the driving force

  126. between for our goals that are financial

  127. and both uh non-financial. So, let me

  128. see if I can move this here.

  129. There we go. Now I'm better. I couldn't

  130. see my notes. So, um with that, the

  131. non-financial goals that comes right

  132. from the vision here. And so basically

  133. we are bringing people together to grow

  134. and serve in the way that Jesus taught.

  135. And with that we are going forward. We

  136. are sharing a life-giving message that

  137. Jesus um put on us through his word to

  138. become fully devoted followers of

  139. Christ. And I know that right there that

  140. just makes my heart be like yes. Thank

  141. you God. Does that excite you guys and

  142. put that on your heart to be a fellow

  143. follower that is fully devoted for

  144. Christ? That's what I know what um I

  145. want here at GSC and that's what we're

  146. striving for. So with this campaign um

  147. this campaign is just that. It is to

  148. live sacrificially. Um it is to leave uh

  149. an internal investment for our legacy.

  150. And our legacy that's our kids. We're

  151. busting at the seams and we need room,

  152. right? Anybody feel a little cramped in

  153. here sometimes? Yeah, me too. Um, and so

  154. you might be wondering, what am I

  155. sporting? Okay, so I have some wonderful

  156. bouquet of flowers is what I'm calling

  157. it. So this is from our our legacy. So I

  158. had some wonderful kids that were

  159. helping and they brought me a bouquet of

  160. flowers. So hey, I had to represent, you

  161. know. So yeah, I know everybody a Okay,

  162. I love it. Um and so you know that right

  163. there, our driving force, the legacy, um

  164. that's that's that's our goal. And our

  165. other goals are going to be um you know,

  166. for God to grow us stronger in faith, uh

  167. to live in purpose, to build each other

  168. up, to stay unified, to trust in God's

  169. vision, and to share who Jesus is. And I

  170. really want to trust in his vision

  171. because this vision uh like pastor Ben

  172. said, this has been uh stirring, being

  173. prayed over for the last 3, four years.

  174. So this isn't something we're like, oh

  175. hey, you know, this has been really

  176. sought after by God. And we want to

  177. continue to do that. And so I ask that

  178. you jump on this journey, continue this

  179. journey with us to reach our goal of 2.1

  180. million. That's a pretty big goal,

  181. right? Pretty quiet in here, right?

  182. Okay. Exactly. But that's how God does

  183. stuff. He does things that we cannot do.

  184. We need him. If we didn't need him and a

  185. savior, then, you know, there we go. We

  186. wouldn't we wouldn't be sitting here. We

  187. wouldn't be serving. But we need him. We

  188. need him to to do this for us. And so,

  189. um, as we do that, I'm going to, um, ask

  190. our team to go ahead and put the chart

  191. of gifts up here. I'm a visual person.

  192. So, I like to see what uh what does that

  193. kind of look like? What how do we reach

  194. that? And so, after lots of prayer,

  195. we've come up with a chart of gifts. And

  196. so, you can see up here um we have these

  197. available out here in the lobby. And we

  198. do ask that you take one, take that with

  199. you, pray over it because, you know, I

  200. kind of look here, I examine, I'm like,

  201. "Oh, hey, yeah, I could probably do that

  202. 2,000. I know some maybe can do like a

  203. whole lot more in three years. But then

  204. I'm like, "Oh yeah, that's right. I'm

  205. doing it in my own power, my own might."

  206. That's not what we want to do. That's

  207. not at all. We're not just building a

  208. building. That's not what it's about. It

  209. is truly about the biggest ask that we

  210. can do. And that biggest ask is saying,

  211. "Hey, God, humble me. Show me. Grow me."

  212. And we want God to put on us what he

  213. wants us to do. And so that's our

  214. biggest ask. And we believe with

  215. everything that we can do that because

  216. he we ask right we do the immeasure he

  217. does the immeasurable because we cannot

  218. we cannot lean in our own power and

  219. might. We must lean on his. And so

  220. together we can do this because we're

  221. seeking him. We are truly one summit

  222. every generation. And as we go through

  223. this campaign we are inspired. We're

  224. encouraged. And so today, we want to

  225. share some other people's passion um for

  226. what God is doing and and just why

  227. they're actually excited. So, would you

  228. guys join me in welcoming some of our

  229. team leads to the stage? Mr. John Gross,

  230. come on up. All right. All right. There

  231. we go.

  232. And Mr. Chris Hannah, come on up,

  233. gentlemen. All right.

  234. >> Thank you, Loretta. Um, I just want to

  235. quickly share a little bit. We want

  236. besides I mean obviously money has to do

  237. with this to try to build something. You

  238. have to be able to pay for it. But we

  239. also through this time particularly in

  240. the next three or four months as we

  241. build a lot of things into this

  242. campaign. We want spiritual growth to

  243. happen. We want people to grow deeper in

  244. Christ. And in those things to have

  245. growth to have a deeper connection to

  246. Christ takes resistance. Just like a

  247. butterfly trying to break out of its

  248. crystals. It needs that resistance to

  249. make it beautiful. If you want to tone

  250. your body and be more healthy, it takes

  251. resistance to help you do that. Lifting

  252. weights, doing push-ups. If I have a

  253. goal, 50 push-ups, and I get down and I

  254. I got to 40 and my arms are telling me

  255. you can't do anymore. You are done. But

  256. you discipline yourself and you push my

  257. massive weight up and down 10 more times

  258. and I hit the 10th one and I pass out

  259. and fall on the floor. But when I wake

  260. up, I have won. I have done what I

  261. wanted to do. And spiritual growth

  262. happens a lot the same. Satan's going to

  263. bring resistance. The world's going to

  264. bring resistance to the things God wants

  265. to do in us and through us. And it takes

  266. a spiritual discipline, a mental

  267. discipline to stick at and then

  268. persevere. If I do 50 push-ups once,

  269. that's an amazing feat. But if I do it

  270. over 10, 12 months, I get some guns, you

  271. know,

  272. for an old man with, you know, have you

  273. seen those commercials where the

  274. 80year-old man with the six-pack? No,

  275. that's not real. But

  276. you can build up. It takes not only the

  277. discipline to do it the first time, but

  278. then the perseverance to keep doing it.

  279. And at the end comes joy. At the end

  280. comes the victory. And that's what we're

  281. shooting for. And be it through the

  282. disciplines of prayer, through

  283. discipline of reading God's word

  284. consistently every day, getting some of

  285. him into you. the devotion to the

  286. fellowship, being a part of us, being

  287. involved, as Pastor Ben's going to talk

  288. about in a few minutes, getting yourself

  289. off the bench and into the game. All

  290. those things take a discipline because

  291. we're our own selves resist giving in.

  292. But if we discipline ourselves and then

  293. persevere at it, in the end, we get a

  294. closer walk with Christ, we get joy we

  295. can't imagine and victories we didn't

  296. expect that God brings. So, we pray for

  297. all of us through this time. I'm excited

  298. about it that we'll all grow closer to

  299. Christ, closer to each other, and to

  300. have joy at the end in a great victory

  301. celebration.

  302. And I would like to pray for our

  303. congregation, Lord, through this

  304. campaign. Lord, we humbly come before

  305. you, Lord. And we pray Lord God that you

  306. will give us the vision along with our

  307. leadership and our pastors and our

  308. congregation

  309. of this building that we can build to

  310. help the next generation. Lord God, you

  311. spoken and the word I heard was

  312. forerunner. Lord, that we need to be

  313. like forunners like Adam and Noah and

  314. Abraham and Elijah and Moses and John

  315. the Baptist and Jesus that we go before

  316. Lord God. And there's many of us that

  317. have gone before, but there's others

  318. that will follow. And this campaign is

  319. for us to build a building and lobby

  320. that can be inviting for those that are

  321. bringing their children and new people

  322. that are coming to our church that have

  323. never been to church before. Lord, that

  324. they may be ministered in an appropriate

  325. space. Lord God, we pray for

  326. supernatural blessing upon our

  327. congregation. We pray for supernatural

  328. assets to be developed, supernatural

  329. giving to happen that we don't know

  330. where it comes from, Lord God, but we

  331. know it does come through you, Lord God.

  332. We're going to be surprised at the

  333. miracles that are going to happen in

  334. this church, but we shouldn't be

  335. surprised, Lord, because you are the

  336. miracle giver. Lord, we pray that each

  337. person here will fill the tug in their

  338. heart, Lord God, that they need to step

  339. up and step into your vision, Lord God,

  340. as we reach the lost. And we just thank

  341. you for all that you're going to do

  342. through our congregation as we touch

  343. others. In name we pray. Amen.

  344. >> All right. Thank you, gentlemen. Can we

  345. give them a big round of applause?

  346. All right. Thank you. Thank you guys for

  347. sharing your passion, uh, for

  348. challenging us. And so, you guys are

  349. going to be challenged through this.

  350. And, and that challenge is going to

  351. result in God growing you. So, I'm very

  352. excited about that. And, uh, we have

  353. another treat for you guys today. Um, as

  354. we go throughout this campaign, a lot of

  355. people are very passionate about it. We

  356. are learning, very passionate. And so,

  357. we have, uh, Mr. Joe Khan that is

  358. actually going to share his uh testimony

  359. with us today. Thank you.

  360. [Music]

  361. >> And I've been with GSU since this has

  362. been started. I serve on the security

  363. team. I am part of the board of council.

  364. I am on the legacy team. Uh I also help

  365. cut grass. Uh we pack backpacks and we

  366. serve a kidmen uh every once in a month.

  367. GSC has helped facilitate made me uh to

  368. believe in Christ and actually get

  369. baptized two years ago. So it's been so

  370. influential of GSC and all the

  371. leadership here uh just the men and

  372. women that have helped me grow and just

  373. love on Christ and get to know him

  374. better and be more faithful to serve

  375. too.

  376. I support Florida leaves a legacy for

  377. our children. So Mark Kidman just needs

  378. uh more room and support and through

  379. supporting the Kidman. It's just going

  380. to create that next level of love for

  381. for the generation. Finally, legacy work

  382. for the children.

  383. [Music]

  384. Well, praise the Lord.

  385. [Applause]

  386. Did you guys have a hard time hearing

  387. Joe?

  388. >> Okay. I was just making sure I wasn't

  389. getting too old and can't hear anymore.

  390. >> Yeah. Good testimony, though. Uh, and I

  391. know there's testimonies all across this

  392. room of what God's been speaking to your

  393. heart as God is moving us forward. Well,

  394. I want to get in the word of God today.

  395. Would you pray with me? Father, we thank

  396. you, Lord, for a stirring in our

  397. spirits, Lord. We're thankful, God, for

  398. a revelation of your word. And so, Lord,

  399. as you have been drawing us and calling

  400. us, Father, we pray today that we would

  401. leave here even more equipped than we

  402. ever have been to serve you with

  403. faithfulness, to serve you with

  404. authority and power of heaven. And so,

  405. Lord, I thank you for your written word,

  406. but Lord, we're praying now for an

  407. ontime word, an inseason word that would

  408. minister grace to our spirit, to our

  409. soul, to our hearts. Father, we thank

  410. you for it now in Jesus name.

  411. Amen. Well,

  412. >> hey guys, we're in week two of uh

  413. kicking off this Capitol campaign and

  414. and uh kind of stepping into the second

  415. half uh this week. I hope you had a good

  416. halftime show. Uh but uh today we're

  417. we're going to continue on the journey

  418. and uh the whole kind of idea that God's

  419. given us is to get in the game.

  420. Last week uh we looked at the playbook.

  421. Uh we broke down Ephesians chapter 2 uh

    Ephesians 2 chapter mention

  422. verses 8-10. And just to recap if you

  423. weren't here, man, I want to take a look

  424. at those scriptures and and give you the

  425. foundation of what God's been doing

  426. here. Ephesians chapter 2 and verse 8 uh

    Ephesians 2 chapter mention

  427. says this, for it is by grace you have

  428. been saved through faith, and this not

  429. of yourselves.

  430. Isn't that good news

  431. that we didn't have to save ourselves?

  432. I mean, I I look at me and I go, I'm a

  433. pretty terrible savior.

  434. I mean, it's just not It wasn't by

  435. works. It wasn't by our great effort. It

  436. wasn't because we had some great mental

  437. capacity to seek out and find God. But

  438. but we were saved by grace through

  439. faith. And this not from yourself.

  440. It is a gift of God. Say gift.

  441. >> Verse nine said this, "Not by works

  442. so that anyone can boast.

  443. If we could save ourselves, we'd be

  444. going to tell the world how great

  445. ourselves are. But we were saved through

  446. Jesus Christ. And so now we go tell the

  447. world how great Jesus is.

  448. >> In verse 10 is where God really had us

  449. kind of land things.

  450. Says this, for we are God's handiwork

  451. created in Christ Jesus. Catch this. To

  452. do good works.

  453. To do good works.

  454. to do good works.

  455. >> That's why we got saved through grace,

  456. faith, not of ourselves. That there's a

  457. purpose behind this thing.

  458. We are God's handiwork created in Christ

  459. Jesus to do good works. Catch this.

  460. Which God prepared in advance for us to

  461. do.

  462. Our heart's cry in our relationship to

  463. God should be, "Father, what would you

  464. have me to do?

  465. What would you have me to do? We're not

  466. just saved from something, but we're

  467. saved for something. And you were saved

  468. for a purpose. So today, I want us to

  469. dig a little bit deeper into the

  470. purpose. Say purpose.

  471. >> Purpose.

  472. >> What is the purpose of the church?

  473. What's the what's the reason for it all?

  474. I mean, I know each of us probably have

  475. our own ideas about this.

  476. And if we were challenged to sit down

  477. and write those out, why do I come to

  478. church? Well, it feels good. I enjoy it.

  479. Uh maybe it's I have some friends that

  480. go there. I like the social connection.

  481. Uh I feel good when I leave there every

  482. Sunday.

  483. You know, those are all good things, but

  484. that's not the purpose of the church. so

  485. that you feel good every Sunday when you

  486. go home.

  487. I'm saved, but I'm not soft. And I'm

  488. going to preach to you this morning.

  489. >> Amen.

  490. >> What is the purpose of all of this?

  491. Ephesians chapter 4, favorite portion of

    Ephesians 4 chapter mention

  492. scripture of mine, talks about apostles,

  493. prophets, evangelists, pastors,

  494. teachers. Talks about that Jesus kind of

  495. gave these to the church. And then it

  496. gives us the why behind the what. And

  497. catch this. Ephesians chapter 4 and

    Ephesians 4 chapter mention

  498. verse 12 gives us the purpose. Catch

  499. this. To equip the saints.

  500. To equip the saints. Sounds like we're

  501. going to battle. Need some equipment. To

  502. equip the saints for the work of

  503. ministry.

  504. For the work of ministry. And there's

  505. this idea. I'm so glad it's uh God had

  506. challenged leaders and Christians over

  507. the generations to get it out of the

  508. church. But there's this uh old

  509. mentality. There was a movement that uh

  510. we know in church, modern church history

  511. was called the shephering movement.

  512. And what it looked like was that you

  513. would have one supreme leader in the

  514. church. Often times we would call him

  515. pastor. He's the one that had went

  516. through seminary

  517. and he is more holy than the rest of us.

  518. And God has called him to lead our

  519. flock. It's that shephering movement,

  520. right? And what came out of that was

  521. some different lingo that you cannot

  522. find in scripture. I looked, we have

  523. this idea of clergy,

  524. the ordained, and then we had this idea

  525. of ley,

  526. which means, well, I just come to church

  527. here. I don't know.

  528. That's what it created in the church

  529. world. Why don't I go down to the

  530. Baptist church? I don't I don't know.

  531. can't find it in scripture. You know

  532. what we can find in scripture is that

  533. every single one of us were called and

  534. equipped and sent.

  535. >> Every one of us have giftings and

  536. abilities that came from heaven.

  537. And and so the the the whole purpose of

  538. all of this is not big eyes and little

  539. U's.

  540. I remember the first time when I first

  541. got ordained. It feels like a hundred

  542. years ago. And they they sent me the

  543. letter upon ordination and it said,

  544. "Reverend Benjamin E. Lee Hugh." And I'm

  545. going, "Reverend,

  546. that sounds funky.

  547. I'm a preacher, man. I'm called to

  548. preach. I wasn't called to be revered."

  549. Yeah. And then I'd be out in public and

  550. uh I learned this from my pastor and

  551. they they're pretty much non-existent

  552. now. Really hard to find. But it used to

  553. be back in the days when when I first

  554. got into ministry that there was clergy

  555. discounts.

  556. Yeah. My pastor, he traveled a lot for

  557. ministry and he knew all the hotel

  558. stops.

  559. Yeah. You get a clergy discount. And I

  560. go, "Well, I guess I'm clergy because I

  561. like discounts." Amen.

  562. I'm thankful that this body of Christ

  563. is biblical

  564. to equip the saints. That's our goal. To

  565. get you not only delivered from sin, set

  566. and established in Christ. That's the

  567. starting line.

  568. but to get you equipped. Not because we

  569. got great programs and great disciplehip

  570. and great but in your relationship with

  571. God that you get equipped by him. That

  572. in your prayer life and in your

  573. devotion, God begins to minister to you,

  574. reveal to you who you are. Do you know I

  575. didn't even know who I was until I got

  576. saved

  577. >> to equip you. The saints, you're the

  578. saints.

  579. Oh, I'm just a sinner saved by grace,

  580. pastor.

  581. Okay. But are you also a saint equipped

  582. for ministry?

  583. Y'all are too quiet this morning. Man, I

  584. keep threatening them. We're going to

  585. get espresso shots and start handing

  586. them out in church.

  587. And y'all woke up

  588. to equip the saints for the work of

  589. ministry. Catch this. For the building

  590. up of the body of Christ.

  591. We're called to be bodybuilders.

  592. All right. Who in here? Who's the

  593. bodybuilders? Let's see some muscles.

  594. Come on. Let's see him. Oh man, back

  595. here. Pastor Jack's rocking the rocking

  596. the guns. You got Hey, you got a

  597. concealed carry permit for that gun.

  598. Security. Watch this guy.

  599. Got tickets to the gun show. Kapow.

  600. Bodybuilders.

  601. We are the body of Christ. Now, catch

  602. this. When we're called to to build the

  603. body, that's that's a couple of things

  604. meant there. It means that uh not just

  605. the pastor, not just the leadership

  606. team, but all of you are called and

  607. equipped by God to build the body up.

  608. That means as iron sharpens iron, so one

  609. man sharpens another. And we do this

  610. thing together. And man, we got brothers

  611. and sisters in the faith that encourage

  612. us that comfort us that God speaks

  613. through that calls us out on our junk if

  614. need be. But but we get strengthened by

  615. being with each other spiritually and

  616. emotionally and mentally.

  617. But it also means building the body

  618. means that the body gets bigger. Say

  619. bigger.

  620. >> Bigger.

  621. >> That means that sinners are becoming

  622. saints.

  623. >> Bodybuilders

  624. for the building up of the body of

  625. Christ is the purpose. Now we hear

  626. the length of time.

  627. Verse 13 it says until. Say until.

  628. >> Until until we all attain the unity

  629. of the faith and the knowledge of the

  630. son of God to mature manhood. We have

  631. some destinations.

  632. Mature manhood to the measure of the

  633. stature of the fullness of Christ.

  634. That's the purpose

  635. of the body of Christ. That it builds

  636. itself up together in love. Last week we

  637. talked about getting off the bench,

  638. getting in the game. God has a game plan

  639. for us. And today I want to move us a

  640. little bit from invitation

  641. to assignment.

  642. Invitation

  643. to assignment. Now, if you've been

  644. sitting on the bench

  645. in the game, you've been cheering your

  646. team on. You got the jersey on, cheering

  647. team, and the coach says, "All right."

  648. and calls your name and says, "Get in

  649. the game." And you don't have a clue

  650. what you're supposed to do. You don't

  651. have the assignment. Uh you're going to

  652. look like a fool out there.

  653. You guys, I love sports. I played sports

  654. at school and and know what that feels

  655. like. Especially especially when you're

  656. little and you're playing sports and

  657. you're still learning the game and and

  658. uh I had some daughters play basketball,

  659. some playing football. And my favorite

  660. is to watch little kids playing sports

  661. for the first time, right? Have you guys

  662. ever watched the basketball game or the

  663. they go in and they're and they're they

  664. get the ball and you can tell it's like

  665. the first time they've ever had the ball

  666. in their entire life and they start

  667. running the wrong way down the court and

  668. they're getting ready to take the shot

  669. and the whole room's like, "No, no." And

  670. that look on their face when they're

  671. like they catch the revelation like,

  672. "Oh, what's my assignment? That way is

  673. my" and they start going the other way.

  674. Yeah, man. If you're going to get out

  675. there, you better have the assignment.

  676. I don't want to look like a fool.

  677. God has a game plan for you. We're

  678. moving from invitation to assignment. We

  679. know the playbook.

  680. A lot of us in this room have studied

  681. the playbook for years and years and

  682. years. Some of you have studied the

  683. playbook longer than I've been alive.

  684. It's the Bible. We sit around in small

  685. groups. We study the playbook.

  686. And it's not just to get more

  687. information.

  688. But it's to get the assignment.

  689. >> Father, what am I supposed to do?

  690. We wear the jersey. We root for the

  691. team.

  692. God says, "Now it's your turn."

  693. Say, "My turn."

  694. >> My turn.

  695. >> It's my turn to get in the game. And God

  696. isn't just looking to fill the stands.

  697. He's recruiting players for the field.

  698. I need you to hear this word and I want

  699. you to let it sink down into your

  700. spirit. It's the title of the message

  701. today is he's not sending someone else.

  702. He's not sending someone else. We're

  703. going to spend some time in Exodus going

  704. to begin in chapter 3 and verse one.

  705. says this. Says, "Now Moses

  706. was keeping the flock of his

  707. father-in-law, Jethro."

  708. Man, did you guys hear that name?

  709. >> Are there hillbillies in the Bible?

  710. Jethro. Man,

  711. keeping flock. They still use that name

  712. today. Does anyone in here know a human

  713. named Jethro? You do.

  714. >> Is he a hillbilly?

  715. >> That's awesome.

  716. I want to meet this said Jethro that's

  717. not a hillbilly. It just s from it

  718. Beverly Hillbillies that had Jethro in

  719. it. Is that where is that where I got

  720. that from?

  721. >> Yeah. Father forgive me. All Jethros are

  722. not hillbillies.

  723. We have proof.

  724. Ah. Okay. Where in the world were we?

  725. Let's just start that scripture over.

  726. Now Moses was keeping the flock of his

  727. father-in-law Jethro, the priest of

  728. Midian. Look at this. Jethro was a

  729. priest. It's not a hillbilly. Come on,

  730. the priest of Midian. And Moses, he led

  731. his flock to the west side of the

  732. wilderness and came to Horeb, the

  733. mountain of God. And the angel of the

  734. Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire

  735. out of the midst of a bush. He looked,

  736. and behold, the bush was burning. yet it

  737. was not consumed. And Moses said, "I

  738. will turn aside to see this great sight,

  739. why the bush is not burned." When the

  740. Lord saw that he turned aside to see,

  741. God called to him out of the bush.

  742. Moses, Moses.

  743. And he said, "Here I am." Then he said,

  744. "Do not come near. Take off your

  745. sandals. Take your sandals off your

  746. feet. the place on which you're standing

  747. is holy ground. And he said,"I am the

  748. God of your father, the God of Abraham,

  749. the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob."

  750. And Moses hid his face, for he was

  751. afraid to look at God.

  752. So, here we have this man named Moses.

  753. And and if you know Moses's story, his

  754. testimony, uh Moses had a sketchy past.

  755. Uh he had what we would be sharing. We

  756. had he had a testimony and it wasn't a

  757. good pass. He was a man that had was

  758. very familiar with failure and not just

  759. failure in the natural like hey keeps

  760. losing his job and doesn't know how to

  761. but it was failure in the spiritual side

  762. of things between him and God. He was

  763. very well acquainted with with with

  764. failure and struggle. a man uh really at

  765. this point who had been on the sidelines

  766. for 40 years just tending sheep

  767. really probably thinking that his best

  768. days were behind him.

  769. I didn't share this in the first

  770. service, but just being sensitive to

  771. God. There's somebody in here that's

  772. been on the sidelines

  773. and God says, "I'm not finished with you

  774. yet.

  775. I'm not finished with you yet.

  776. I've got more.

  777. Moses has been on the sidelines for 40

  778. years.

  779. So, he sees this burning bush.

  780. God speaks to him through the flames.

  781. And in that, God begins to lay out a

  782. fresh vision, what we could call a game

  783. plan. A game plan. Verse 7. Then the

  784. Lord said, I have surely seen the

  785. affliction of my people who are in

  786. Egypt, and I have heard their cry

  787. because of their task masters.

  788. Many translations say slave masters or

  789. slave owners.

  790. says, "I know their suffering, and I

  791. have come down to deliver them out of

  792. the hand of the Egyptians and to bring

  793. them up out of that land to a good and

  794. broad land, a land flowing with milk and

  795. honey."

  796. Man, that's good news.

  797. That's that's positive. That's a good

  798. vision. Uh, you know, man, today we have

  799. people, we don't have to look very far.

  800. We have hurting people everywhere. And

  801. and really in this context, man, I mean,

  802. it's there's people that are slaves to

  803. sin. They are puppets on a string, to

  804. their own flesh, to the own to the evil

  805. that's influencing them, to to the

  806. secular culture that that keeps telling

  807. them who they need to be and what they

  808. need to do. We have slaves to sin

  809. everywhere.

  810. You don't have to go very far to see

  811. that.

  812. H I think about if God spoke to us this

  813. fresh vision. Man, I want to lead those

  814. I want to get those slaves free from the

  815. power of the devil.

  816. You know that

  817. scripturally we're a type of Moses.

  818. We'll talk about Pharaoh in a minute,

  819. but Pharaoh is a type of Satan. Yeah.

  820. Think about that, man. What if God

  821. showed up and said, "I have this I have

  822. this vision. I have this plan."

  823. I'm guessing Moses is hearing this and

  824. he's getting pretty stirred up, pretty

  825. excited,

  826. right? I mean, number one, God's

  827. speaking to him out of a bush.

  828. That's crazy.

  829. This bush is on fire, but it's not being

  830. consumed. It's not burning up. Says the

  831. angel of the Lord, that references Jesus

  832. Christ being there. And through that,

  833. God's voice comes to him. I'm guessing,

  834. man, that this isn't just some neat

  835. idea, but that he's catching revelation.

  836. He's getting stirred up in this going,

  837. "Yes,

  838. yes."

  839. Catch this.

  840. God says it this way. He says, "I've

  841. seen the misery of my people in Egypt.

  842. I've heard them crying out and I'm

  843. concerned about their suffering. So,

  844. I've come to rescue them." And Moses is

  845. getting stirred up saying, "Yes, Lord,

  846. finally."

  847. But then God says something

  848. that changes everything. Say everything.

  849. Says it in Exodus 3:10.

    Exodus 3:10

  850. If you have your Bibles, underline it.

  851. Write this down. Highlight it. He says

  852. in verse 10, "Come,

  853. I will send you."

  854. Hold up.

  855. Wait a minute.

  856. So, I picture Moses going through this

  857. stir of emotions like, "Yes, finally all

  858. of the people get to get freed from this

  859. from this heavy-handed Pharaoh that's c

  860. making them slaves. They bringing my

  861. people out and this is awesome, God. And

  862. man, I want to be on the sidelines. I'm

  863. going to be your best cheerleader and

  864. man, we're we're going to watch you get

  865. this thing done because you're God." And

  866. God says, "Come, I will send you."

  867. Wait a minute.

  868. H.

  869. He's not sending someone else, Moses.

  870. He says, "Come,

  871. I will send you to Pharaoh that you may

  872. bring my people, the children of Israel,

  873. out of Egypt." Wait a minute. You're

  874. sending me so that I may bring them out?

  875. God, I thought you said you were going

  876. to bring them out. And God says, "Yeah,

  877. but I'm going to use you.

  878. I'm going to use you.

  879. Do you catch that divine pivot? It's

  880. what I call when I read scripture, man.

  881. I call it the holy transfer of

  882. responsibility.

  883. Yeah.

  884. Yeah. The Asary pastor, I feel like I do

  885. that sometimes. I don't do it

  886. intentionally, but I come up with this

  887. great idea and I'm like, "All right,

  888. team, make it happen."

  889. And they're all like stressed out like,

  890. "How are we going to do this?" Sorry,

  891. guys.

  892. That's what God's doing. He has this

  893. grandiose awesome vision that he's

  894. released and he says, "Okay, Moses. Now,

  895. now go fulfill it."

  896. God says, "I've seen. I've heard. I'm

  897. concerned. So now go. I'm sending you."

  898. He's not sending someone else. I just

  899. picture Moses standing there. I picture

  900. his jaw just hitting the desert floor.

  901. >> Sending me. God says, "Come. I'll send

  902. you to Pharaoh that you may bring my

  903. people, the children of Israel,

  904. out of Egypt. Verse 11. But Moses said

  905. to God, "Who am I that I should go to

  906. Pharaoh and bring the children of Israel

  907. out of Egypt?" He starts right out of

  908. the gates making excuses. He hasn't even

  909. thought about this. I mean, right out of

  910. the gates, God, you got the wrong guy.

  911. Who in the world am I uh to go do this?

  912. Why would you send me? I I mean, I want

  913. the team to win, but I want you to do

  914. it, God.

  915. Or there's a lot of other people around.

  916. I want them to do it. I want the team to

  917. win, but I want them to do it. I want

  918. you to hear this. What if you're the

  919. them?

  920. What if you're the them? And I believe

  921. that God today wants to break the

  922. they'll do it off of us.

  923. >> Amen.

  924. >> Someone else will do it.

  925. You're not ley.

  926. You're called to ministry.

  927. What if God is saying, "Come, I'll send

  928. you. I've called you. I've equipped you.

  929. I've given you the playbook. Do you have

  930. purpose on your life? Now go." Yeah.

  931. Listen to what God says in verse 12. He

  932. says,

  933. "But I will be with you. I will be with

  934. you." This is one of the things that

  935. I've experienced over and over and over

  936. again that if God brings me to it, God

  937. will get me through it.

  938. >> You guys experienced that? Yeah.

  939. >> And and man, I mean, if if serving God

  940. was like, "Uh, hey, I need you to do

  941. this, and well, that makes sense, and I

  942. got I got some resources, and I can I I

  943. got the mental capacity. I I can do

  944. that, God. If that was serving God, it'd

  945. be pretty easy. God calls me over and

  946. over and over again to do things that

  947. are far outside of my natural means,

  948. outside of my capacity. Matter of fact,

  949. I am the least likely to be a preacher.

  950. I was not smart in school

  951. at all.

  952. And I and I love that God chose the

  953. least likely to use for something

  954. powerful.

  955. God chose you. No matter what your

  956. abilities or talents, and I'm thankful

  957. that he didn't just do it out of the

  958. gates, but over and over and over again,

  959. I'm standing up against these things and

  960. I go, God, there's only one way that

  961. it'll get done. and and it's if you show

  962. up in a huge way. And God says, if I

  963. bring you to it, I'm going to take you

  964. through it.

  965. Verse 12, he said, "But I will be with

  966. you, and this shall be the sign for you

  967. that I have sent you. When you have

  968. brought the people out of Egypt, you

  969. shall serve God on this mountain."

  970. I love the victory language that God's

  971. doing.

  972. You know, he's not saying, you know, if

  973. you if you do real good, Moses, and get

  974. get some of them out, we'll uh we'll see

  975. about throwing a party at the end of

  976. this thing.

  977. I mean, Moses has to be in utter shock

  978. right now. God speaking to him, releases

  979. this thing. Hey, God, God says, I want

  980. to get my people out of slavery. I've

  981. heard their cries and and

  982. getting excited about this. God says,

  983. Moses, I'm sending you to do it. You go

  984. fight Pharaoh. you go mess with Pharaoh

  985. and and do this thing, I'll be with you.

  986. And then he says, when say when

  987. >> when you have brought the people out of

  988. Egypt,

  989. you guys are going to serve God on this

  990. mountain.

  991. One summit every generation. Isn't it

  992. interesting that the same vision that

  993. God had for the people in Moses's day is

  994. the same vision that God has for this

  995. people

  996. >> in this room in this culture that hey,

  997. we're going to worship God together on

  998. this mountain. And man, when you he

  999. who's forgiven much loveth much when

1000. when when slaves get set free, there's

1001. some worship that's about to break

  1002. loose.

1003. >> One summit every generation. That's our

1004. mission that we can serve God on this

  1005. mountain together.

1006. Then Moses says, let me paraphrase a

1007. little bit just for time sake. Moses

1008. says this. He says, he says, "Hey God,

1009. what if they don't believe me?"

1010. So we we get some excuses

1011. building up here. I don't know about

1012. you, but it's easy for me to make

  1013. excuses.

1014. Is it for you guys?

  1015. I mean, if I wasn't in ministry, I'd

1016. have probably been in sales because I

1017. can I can tell I can talk an Eskimo into

  1018. buying ice cream.

1019. I can talk myself in or out of anything,

  1020. you guys.

1021. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, and I've got some

  1022. that are just they're legit. They're

1023. solid uh excuses for why I'm not doing

1024. what God has called me to do.

  1025. And man, that's that's the that's the

1026. natural human sinful fleshly side of me

1027. to giving God all the reasons why I

1028. can't when God is saying, "I'll be with

1029. you now go. I'll be with you now go."

1030. But God, I don't have the time, but I'll

1031. be with you now go. I don't have the

1032. money. I'll be with you now go. It's too

1033. big for me. It doesn't make sense. I

1034. don't understand. I'm just not the God

1035. says I'll be with you. Get up and go.

1036. We all have more excuses.

1037. He says, "Man, what what if they don't

1038. believe me?" God's response, he says,

1039. "What is that in your hand?"

1040. God says, "I I'll use what you already

1041. have. You don't have to go get the

1042. education or the ordination and become

  1043. clergy.

1044. You don't have to win the lottery."

1045. Well, if I ever win the lottery, I'm

1046. going to give I'm going to tithe to the

  1047. church, pastor.

1048. You know how many times I've heard that

1049. in 20 years of ministry.

1050. And I pray, man, like, I hope that guy

  1051. hits the lottery. She

1052. church. Church could use some resources.

1053. And what are you doing now with the

1054. resources that you do have? What are you

1055. doing now with the time that you do

1056. have? Time, treasure, talents. God says,

1057. "I'll use it if you'll make it available

1058. to me." Then Moses pulls out the big one

1059. in Exodus chapter 4. He says this. He

    Exodus 4 chapter mention

1060. says, "I'm not eloquent. I'm slow of

1061. speech and tongue." And I just picture

1062. this thing. God's going, "Hey, Moses,

1063. I'm sending you to go do this." And I I

1064. just picture Moses like a babbling at it

  1065. like I can't even talk right you don't

1066. you're not going to use me. You know,

1067. probably stepping back a little bit as

1068. this this is unfolding. You know, I

  1069. don't not eloquent of speech. I

1070. basically God, you've got the wrong guy.

1071. Exodus 4:12. Now therefore go. I love

    Exodus 4:12

1072. how God doesn't sit down and have a

1073. conversation with Moses. Oh, you really

  1074. don't feel like you're eloquent of

1075. speech. Maybe we could put you through

1076. some speech classes and we could get

  1077. you.

1078. Moses releases these what he feels like

  1079. are legitimate excuses.

1080. And God says, "Okay, now go."

1081. I love God. Now therefore go and I will

1082. be with your mouth and I will teach you

1083. what you shall speak. But he said, "Oh

1084. my Lord, please send someone else."

  1085. Moses ain't having it.

  1086. Oh my Lord, please.

1087. Please. Have you ever been there with

1088. God? It's like, please, if there's any,

1089. please send somebody else. I remember

1090. when I first stepped into uh street

1091. evangelism and being scared for my life.

1092. I mean, you guys, you've heard part of

1093. the type of testament I came out of

1094. extreme uh cocaine, drug dealing, all

  1095. this stuff. I don't I I could lose count

1096. on my hands how many times I've had a

1097. gun right here and I was just this

1098. arrogant whatever, do it, punk. You know

1099. what I mean? Like, and now here I am a

1100. Christian and I'm with a with a team of

1101. pastors and we're going out to tell

1102. people about Jesus and my heart's about

1103. to thump out of my chest and I'm like,

  1104. "Please send somebody else."

  1105. Isn't that bizarre?

1106. You ever had that in your heart? Moses

1107. is crying out, "Please, oh Lord, please

1108. send someone else." He says, "Man, man,

1109. send my brother. Send send the pastor.

1110. Send the evangelist. Send somebody

  1111. that's got a better resume that's that's

1112. better equipped. Somebody can even talk,

1113. right? Lord, send anyone besides me.

1114. Verse 13, but he said, "Oh my Lord,

1115. please send someone else." Then verse

1116. 14, then the anger of the Lord

  1117. was kindled against Moses.

1118. Man, I've had some powerful people that

1119. I've been on the wrong side of make them

  1120. angry.

1121. God's not one that I want to be on the

  1122. wrong side of,

  1123. right?

  1124. I don't even like it when my wife's

  1125. upset with me.

1126. We like to make sure to get that

  1127. straightened out.

1128. Don't want to make God angry. And the

1129. anger of the Lord was kindled against

1130. Moses. And in that moment right there is

1131. the crossroads for every single one of

  1132. us.

1133. God's calling us to go.

1134. God has a plan and a purpose, a playbook

1135. laid out specifically for you and

1136. specifically for us. And that's the

1137. crossroads we find oursel at.

1138. Am I going to continue to make excuses?

1139. Am I going to get to the point where I'm

1140. desperate and pleading with God, let

1141. somebody else do it, or am I going to

1142. step up and let God be God in my life

1143. because I understand my salvation

1144. to do works, good works prepared for me

1145. that God prepared in advance for me to

  1146. do.

1147. We make ourselves available to God.

1148. You know, I believe this that when God

1149. presents us with the problem, a lot of

1150. times he makes us the solution.

1151. Man, you can write that down and take it

  1152. to the bank.

1153. That's another thing I've learned to do

  1154. in ministry.

1155. Man, I got this great idea, pastor. We

1156. should do this. And I'm thinking, we

1157. don't have the staff or the money to do

1158. that. We we should do this. And I go,

  1159. you nominating yourself?

1160. You you you got you you you you have the

1161. burden. You have the you caught the

1162. problem, but are you going to let God

1163. use you to be the solution?

1164. It's one of my favorite things when

1165. people come and tell us all the things

1166. that we should be doing as a church.

1167. That was sarcasm. Forgive me.

1168. God presents us with the problem and

  1169. makes us the solution.

1170. You know, we see the need in our

  1171. America.

1172. We see the need everywhere. The

  1173. addiction,

  1174. the broken,

  1175. the lonely,

1176. suicidal. I mean, we see you don't have

1177. to go very far to see the need.

1178. Are you part of the solution?

1179. Sometimes we see the the need and we'll

1180. get in a kind of a heavy place or a

1181. place of even complaining and we'll even

1182. get, man, I'm wearing the jersey. I'm on

1183. the team and I'll start praying to God.

1184. God, God, I don't like what I see going

1185. on in this nation. And God says, well,

  1186. I'm sending you.

  1187. We see a generation

  1188. of young people

1189. that are walking away from the faith. We

1190. pray, "God, send revival." And God says,

  1191. "I am. I'm starting with you. I'm

1192. starting in your home with your kids,

  1193. your grandkids."

  1194. [Music]

1195. We see injustice and we cry, God. We

1196. plead with God, "Fix the system.

  1197. Fix the system.

  1198. fix our country.

1199. You guys see my shirt I got on today.

1200. If you know, you know.

1201. We cry out and we go, "God,

  1202. fix it."

1203. God says, "I will. I'm appointing you.

1204. I'm appointing you to be the agent of

  1205. change

  1206. right where you are."

1207. He doesn't just reveal needs to make us

  1208. aware.

1209. He reveals needs to deploy us there.

1210. And that rhymed. I feel like Dr. Seuss.

  1211. [Music]

1212. I'm just showing you things so we can

  1213. complain about it.

1214. How many believers I know? That's as far

1215. as it goes. That's their That's their

  1216. their resolution.

1217. see the problem, complain about it.

  1218. Can I say this?

1219. Don't wear the jersey and root for the

1220. team if you're not willing to get on the

  1221. field.

  1222. [Music]

1223. Felt a bunch of toes go,

1224. I want to get on the field, man.

1225. God's answer to Moses with every single

1226. excuse that he threw out there and God's

1227. answer to us to every single excuse that

1228. we can throw at him. It's found in

  1229. Exodus 4:12.

    Exodus 4:12

1230. Write this down. This is the promise

1231. for your game. This is the promise of

1232. the playbook. He says, "Now go. I will

1233. help you speak and I will teach you what

  1234. to say."

  1235. Now go.

  1236. [Music]

1237. God isn't looking for the most

  1238. qualified.

1239. He's looking for those that are willing

  1240. to serve.

  1241. He's looking for those that'll make

  1242. themselves available.

1243. And and I'll be real honest. I said this

1244. last week about sometimes I can gauge my

1245. spirituality on my spending. I can look

1246. through my budget and see where all am I

1247. am I spending more on on all the

1248. distractions and all the luxuries and

1249. the vacation. Am I spending more there

  1250. than I am

1251. on eternal things for God

1252. looking for those that are available.

1253. And when I think about being available,

1254. I' I've had this in seasons of my life

  1255. where I go, "Well, I'm available."

1256. God so says, "Are you?"

1257. There was one season just before I went

1258. through a major burnout in ministry. I

1259. have workaholic tendencies and I I'll go

  1260. 80 hours a week if if I could.

  1261. [Music]

1262. And God was challenging me

1263. and asking me to do things, simple

1264. things, spend more time in prayer. I was

  1265. sensing burnout.

1266. spend more time with your family. Spend

1267. more time on your Sabbath. Make that a

  1268. priority.

1269. I looked at my calendar and got

1270. overwhelmed. And I said, "God, I would,

  1271. but

  1272. God, I would, but

1273. I've made myself available to God, but

1274. if I made my calendar available to God,

  1275. I've made myself available to God. I I

1276. get in that kind of mindset where Pat

1277. boy, I made myself available to God."

1278. And God says, "Have you made your wallet

  1279. available to me?"

  1280. Whoa.

1281. Time, treasure, talents. You've made

1282. yourself available to me. But if you

1283. allowed the gifts that I put on the

1284. inside of you, have you made those

  1285. available to me?

1286. There's somebody in here that has the

  1287. gift of singing.

1288. Can I just prophesy for a minute? You

1289. have the gift of singing and you are

1290. scared to death to get up here and lead

  1291. worship.

1292. And God says, "Will you make that gift

  1293. available to me?"

  1294. [Music]

1295. God gave you that talent, that gift.

1296. I don't know who you are, but I want to

1297. hear you. I bet you sound beautiful.

1298. Everything that God gave you, are you

  1299. making it available?

  1300. [Music]

1301. This isn't just an Old Testament idea.

  1302. This is

  1303. new covenant.

  1304. Matthew 28:16,

    Matthew 28:16

1305. Jesus gives us the great commission. He

1306. says, "Now the 11 disciples went to

1307. Galilee to the mountain to which Jesus

1308. had directed them." There's lots of

1309. mountains in scripture, isn't there?

1310. And when they saw him, they worshiped

  1311. him, but some doubted.

1312. And Jesus came and said to them, "All

1313. authority in heaven and on earth has

  1314. been given to me.

1315. Go therefore and make disciples of all

1316. nations, baptizing them in the name of

1317. the Father and of the Son and of the

1318. Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe

1319. all that I have commanded you. And

1320. behold, I am with you always.

1321. to the end of the age. Boy, it sounds

  1322. very reminiscent

1323. of what God spoke to Moses. It sounds

1324. very reminiscent of what God's speaking

  1325. to us.

1326. He doesn't say some of you, as you feel

  1327. led,

1328. might consider going to tell some

1329. people. He he he says to these 11, "Now

1330. listen, uh these are flawed,

  1331. very immature disciples,

1332. doubting right there. They're standing

1333. there face to face with our savior and

  1334. doubting."

1335. And Jesus says, "All authority in heaven

1336. has been given to me." He doesn't say,

1337. "Hey, I put you through disciplehip

1338. training and and man, I've given you the

1339. resources. I've given you all this

1340. stuff." He says, "All authority from the

1341. Father has been given to me. Now get up

1342. and go and make disciples of every

1343. nation. Go tell them about me because

1344. the power from heaven." Listen, the same

1345. spirit that rose Jesus from the dead is

1346. now dwelling on the inside of you. And

1347. we have a lost and dying world out there

1348. that needs the power of God in their

1349. life. And you have it living on the

1350. inside of you. If you would just show up

1351. and open your mouth and tell your

1352. testimony, tell the story, tell what God

1353. has put on your heart, you would watch

1354. the entire nation get saved.

  1355. >> I promise.

  1356. >> Yes.

1357. >> I promise. I am tired of the devil

1358. holding us in fear and insecurity.

1359. There are people going to hell. And we

  1360. have the message.

1361. We have the answer. We have the

  1362. resource.

  1363. says, "All authority

  1364. I have, therefore you

  1365. go."

1366. That conversation with those 11

1367. disciples changed the world as we knew

  1368. it.

1369. Cuz not long after they went,

1370. Acts chapter 1 and verse 8, you shall be

    Acts 1 chapter mention

1371. my witnesses. They they heard that from

1372. God and they lived it out and and there

1373. were thousands being added daily to

1374. those that were being saved.

1375. The call is personal. The assignment is

1376. specific. And the messenger is you.

  1377. [Music]

1378. I'm going to ask the worship team to

  1379. join us up here.

  1380. Our purpose

1381. as a body of believers is to equip the

1382. saints for the work of ministry,

1383. for the building up of the body of

  1384. Christ.

1385. And here's my sense spiritually

1386. that the game clock is ticking.

1387. We're in the last days.

1388. The need has never been greater. The

1389. fields are ripe for the harvest.

1390. The laborers are few. Listen to this.

1391. The missionary to your neighborhood is

  1392. you.

1393. The minister to your coworker is you.

1394. The salvation for your family

  1395. is you.

  1396. The peacemaker in conflict

  1397. is you.

1398. The volunteer that this church needs to

  1399. serve

  1400. is you.

  1401. The tithe that fuels

1402. the vision, the ministry to reach more

1403. is from you. The prayer that shifts the

1404. atmosphere of this city and this nation

1405. is from you. He's not sending someone

  1406. else.

1407. I believe that God has called us to this

1408. kickoff moment, this burning bush

1409. moment, and has laid it plain before us.

  1410. I've seen, I've heard, I'm concerned.

  1411. So now go.

1412. The world is waiting for the version of

1413. you that says yes to God.

1414. Let's stand to our feet all over this

  1415. house.

  1416. Praise you, Jesus.

  1417. Thank you, Lord.

1418. Father, I thank you, Lord, for revival

1419. breaking loose in this nation. And I'm

1420. thankful that it starts in me. I'm

1421. thankful that it starts in us.

1422. Lord, I pray, God, that you would allow

  1423. us,

1424. God, to not only see the problem, but

1425. God, through your power, through your

1426. strength, God, that you would allow us

1427. to be the solution. Father, we're

1428. thankful for Jesus, God, how you've

1429. saved us from something, but Lord, I'm

1430. thankful even more that you've saved us

  1431. for something.

1432. And Lord, I pray God that the light of

1433. God would shine through us. Father, that

1434. we would push back the darkness of the

  1435. evil one.

1436. Lord, I thank you that you've called us

1437. for such a time as this to get off the

1438. bench and get in the game. And Lord,

1439. we're lifting our hands today, Lord.

1440. We're saying, "Send us. Use us. Here's

1441. every part of me. I'm available to you."

1442. I thank you for it, Lord. Father, I am

1443. excited to see what the next few months

1444. and next few years look like, God, as we

1445. unify in faith under the uncction of the

1446. Holy Spirit to see people come to the

1447. saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

1448. Father, I'm thankful to be a part of a

  1449. revival.

1450. So Lord, we bless your name today. Thank

1451. you for it in Jesus name. Amen.

  1452. Heat. Hey, Heat.

  1453. [Music]
