Hallelujah.
-
You guys awake today?
-
>> Praise the Lord, man. Is this my amen
-
section over here?
-
>> Hallelujah. Pastor Jack, you're leading
-
you're leading the charge. You're the
-
amen section today.
-
>> Hallelujah.
-
Hey, uh you guys ready for a word?
-
>> I'm feeling some kind of way today.
-
>> You're going to hear it.
-
Leo, we need to get microphones out here
-
because we need people online to
-
interact a little more. Praise the Lord.
-
Hey, if you're a first- time guest with
-
us, uh my name is Ben. Have the
-
opportunity to serve as lead pastor
-
here. We are celebrating 15 years as a
-
church.
-
>> Hallelujah.
-
All right. I I need to know who the
-
old-timers here are here. Who's been at
-
Grace Summit Church since the very
-
beginning? Raise your hand. Look around
-
this room, guys. Look at all this.
-
And it's got to be a good church to hang
-
out for 15 years straight.
-
Hallelujah. When my wife and I came 5
-
years ago, uh we were impressed with the
-
foundation that God has laid here. Amen.
-
>> Uh man, and and uh it's not just 15
-
years as a church. It's 15 years of
-
salvations, 15 years of miracles, 15
-
years of households getting saved. Amen.
-
Let's just celebrate the work of God.
-
And where God has me as we're
-
celebrating the last 15 years, God has
-
me looking forward to what's the next 15
-
years look like?
-
>> Where are we taking this thing? Where
-
where is God leading us? Amen.
-
>> And I got to tell you, the best is yet
-
to come.
-
>> God's been speaking to me a few things
-
about the future of Grace Summit Church.
-
And man, I'm just excited to go where
-
he's taking us. Amen.
-
>> Man, I almost started preaching. Got to
-
my notes yet.
-
Hallelujah.
-
We're kicking off a series today called
-
a new series called designed. Say
-
designed.
-
>> Designed.
-
>> Pray with me. Father, I thank you, Lord,
-
for Lord, this atmosphere being your
-
atmosphere.
-
And Lord, your Holy Spirit reigns
-
supreme above all things.
-
>> God, we thank you for your anointing
-
today, God, that we can even hear from
-
heaven. God, that we can have spiritual
-
eyes to see what you're showing us. And
-
Father, I pray Lord today you use me as
-
your vessel to speak to your people.
-
And so Lord, I thank you for it. Have
-
your way. Your will be done in Jesus
-
name. Amen.
-
So design uh everything I preach in this
-
series over the next few weeks and
-
including today comes down to a very
-
simple statement
-
that you were designed by God on purpose
-
and with purpose.
-
Say purpose.
-
>> Purpose.
-
>> Man, I'm going to make you talk back to
-
me today.
-
>> Designed on purpose and with purpose.
-
Sometimes we'll get to the place in our
-
faith where we believe that we are
-
designed on purpose by God, contrary to
-
what the public school system tried to
-
tell you.
-
>> Well, it was a goo and then there was
-
some some lightning or there stardust.
-
Come on, get saved, man.
-
>> You're not an accident. There's a
-
designer. Amen. Sometimes we'll get to
-
that place where we be we believe that
-
we've been designed on purpose. But
-
sometimes it takes us a little while by
-
the spirit to get to the place where
-
we're designed we believe that we're
-
designed with purpose
-
and we're actually walking in and
-
fulfilling
-
that purpose. If you have a Bible this
-
morning, go with me to the Gospel of
-
John in the 14th chapter.
-
John 14.
-
And we're going to start reading at
-
verse 12. And these are some uh words in
-
red. You guys know what the red ones
-
mean, don't you?
-
>> That's my Jesus talking to me.
-
>> That's the good stuff.
-
>> John 14:12
-
Jesus said this, "Truly, truly I say to
-
you,
-
whoever believes in me," say whoever.
-
>> Whoever
-
>> whoever believes in me will also do the
-
works that I do. Man, I just want to
-
hang out there for a minute.
-
>> Do you believe in Jesus?
-
>> Do you do the works of Jesus?
-
>> No.
-
>> Appreciate your vulnerability, Carla.
-
>> We keep her in the front row for a
-
reason.
-
>> It's like Yeah. It's like the It's like
-
the school. Like, you're going to sit up
-
front so we can keep an eye on you.
-
Man, what a convicting text. And I think
-
about the first disciples hearing this.
-
They've been walking with Christ for
-
years, right? And they're watching dead
-
people get raised back to life. They're
-
they're watching uh people get healed.
-
They're they're they're seeing this
-
woman come up and just touch the hem of
-
his garment and she gets healed. I I
-
mean I mean eyes, blind eyes being able
-
to see, lame getting UP AND AND SHOUTING
-
FOR JOY. AND JESUS says to them,
-
"Whoever believes,
-
you're going to do the same thing."
-
Uh-oh. I'm preaching to an American
-
church.
-
I'm preaching to a church that has a
-
certain level of faith, but we don't
-
know if we ascribe to all of what Jesus
-
said.
-
Well, I believe in God.
-
Good. Good. First step, devil. The demon
-
said that
-
whoever believes in me
-
will do what I do is what Jesus says.
-
What's it? What else does he say? And
-
say and
-
>> greater works than these will he do.
-
Whoever believes.
-
Whoever believes, he goes on, he says,
-
because
-
I'm going to the father. Whatever you
-
ask in my name, this I will do.
-
Why Jesus? He says that the father may
-
be glorified
-
in the son.
-
I'm hearing some divine purpose laid out
-
upon our life.
-
You know, we're going through and very
-
soon you guys will get to see some
-
images. uh working on the redesign for
-
potential church expansion and been
-
working with architects now for a while
-
and they do these things called spec
-
sheets, right? Gives you all the details
-
of the design. Man, we're we're getting
-
the the spec sheet for you right here
-
from Jesus. What's your spec sheet? What
-
are you designed for? There's a purpose
-
behind
-
your life.
-
Jesus says in verse 14, "If you ask
-
anything in my name,
-
I will do it."
-
So half the battle is knowing why I'm
-
here. The second half uh is knowing what
-
I'm called to do.
-
What did God design you for? We're
-
talking about being designed. He says,
-
"Ask me anything." Man, that's a big
-
word.
-
Ask me anything and I'll do it. Jesus
-
says, "Ask me and watch me show up. Ask
-
me. Just ask me." He He's just waiting
-
for you to to to get in prayer and begin
-
to to ask for the miracles of anything
-
according to his will. God, I'm praying
-
for the miracle. God, I'm praying for
-
the freedom. God, I'm praying for the
-
breakthrough. He says, I'm just waiting
-
for you to step into that secret place
-
where you get serious with God and start
-
to pray the promises of God and watch me
-
show up in your life like you've never
-
seen before. Amen.
-
>> I'm preaching better than you're amening
-
this morning.
-
>> I want to speak something over you. The
-
psalmist said
-
that God knit you together.
-
Say knit.
-
>> Say he threw you together with some
-
leftovers.
-
>> Some of you I wonder about
-
You weren't accidentally assembled. You
-
were knit together by God himself.
-
Ephesians 2 10 says that you are his
-
workmanship,
-
his craftsmanship,
-
created in Christ Jesus for a purpose.
-
Catch this. for good works that he
-
prepared in advance for you.
-
I feel like preaching this morning.
-
You're not random. You're not a mistake.
-
You are designed by God on purpose and
-
with purpose. You are fearfully and
-
wonderfully made.
-
Fearfully and wonderfully made.
-
Man,
-
you know, a couple weeks ago, I think I
-
shared this with some of you. A couple
-
weeks ago, uh my daughter Zoe and I went
-
to Red River Gorge, Kentucky.
-
Man, was that a good time. Uh we did us
-
uh there's some pictures.
-
>> Isn't she beautiful?
-
>> Yes,
-
>> Miss Zoe Bell.
-
>> Uh man, we did some mountain hiking.
-
This picture is uh after quite the
-
vigorous climb. And uh that's not like
-
you'd drive to this beautiful beautiful
-
scenic spot and get out and walk. You
-
know, we had to climb to that point. So
-
that's why we're she's looking uh pretty
-
accomplished right there. And uh man, we
-
had to we had the gear before we went.
-
Look at that. Man, we went underneath
-
the mountain. Did the glass bottom
-
kayaks. Get to see the size of the
-
rainbow trout. Man, I was wishing I had
-
my fishing pole. Yeah.
-
And go go old school redneck on them.
-
I wanted to grab it. They were right
-
there. I just wanted to grab one.
-
>> Fight it. That would have disrupted the
-
atmosphere. Huh.
-
But man, we climbed up uh what they call
-
Indian staircase. And I got to tell you,
-
man, I'm looking I had the all trails
-
out and I'm looking at it beforehand.
-
I'm going that's pretty serious. CL says
-
it's hard, right? Uh I'm picturing a
-
staircase.
-
>> It wasn't a No, I don't even know where
-
they got the terminology stair. We got a
-
video. Look at this thing.
-
Look at
-
>> Yeah. This is after a couple of mile 2.4
-
miles we're already in now. And uh I got
-
Zoe with me,
-
man. And we're like we're we're just
-
hanging on up there. I mean, you look
-
over the edge and I'm like, "Woo!" There
-
was a couple of times Zoe she cuz I'm
-
pushing her up to get her up there,
-
right? And so she gets up there. She's
-
wandering off. I said, "Hey, hey, get
-
back over there. You're making me
-
nervous." Yeah. Look at the little
-
people up there.
-
>> Yeah, we we're But look down here.
-
That's where we came from right there.
-
We're climbing vines
-
>> and rocks and all this stuff. And I'm
-
going, God, what am I? And we got to
-
that point. That was like the hardest
-
point. And I'm looking at that point and
-
I'm going, I don't think I can get back
-
down. And I'm go I'm looking up going, I
-
I don't I think I think we're going up
-
whether we like it or not. Right now,
-
let's see the next video here. So, this
-
is after we've hiked and man, we more
-
mileage in and we got to a point and I
-
said, "Look, that's what we climbed."
-
You have to forgive the cameraman.
-
That's a 44 year old going,
-
"Look at this. Look at this." Okay, so
-
we we were down here, right? We started
-
way down in the woods and then made it
-
up to that spot.
-
All right, camera guy. Pull yourself
-
together, man.
-
Look at this. That's what we went up.
-
>> Uh oh, it started over.
-
We were uh we were we sat there long
-
enough to watch these little ant-sized
-
humans.
-
>> And I'm like, "Oh, that's where we
-
were." And I'm not going back that way.
-
We're going.
-
But before we left, we uh got some uh
-
new gear.
-
Uh we got some new backpacks. Well, my
-
mine is pretty cool, man. It has the
-
spot up front here, and I keep all my my
-
phone, all my goodies in there, you
-
know, uh, chewing gum, all the stuff.
-
But,
-
don't start.
-
So, but it has these hydration bladders
-
on the back. You guys ever seen these
-
things?
-
>> Oh, they're rad. Yeah. You need to go
-
today. Like, I don't care if you get on
-
your phone right now and get on Amazon
-
and have one.
-
They're amazing. I'm going to start
-
wearing them into my subdivision when I
-
have to go on a walk. I had 2.5 L of
-
water right here anytime I want. Walk
-
along then.
-
Yeah. And we had to get before we left,
-
we got Zoe some new hiking shoes uh to
-
be able to make it through. Now we were
-
making sure that we had the right gear.
-
So that's Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.
-
Did five hikes and got some miles in.
-
And then uh we left Red River Gorge,
-
Kentucky to drive to Nashville,
-
Tennessee to meet up with uh the rest of
-
our crew for uh a conference.
-
And part of that is we went down to the
-
downtown area of Nashville. And uh the
-
girls were I don't know what you girls
-
do half the time. They were shopping at
-
Free People, I think. Is that where you
-
were? Free People. So Lincoln and I are
-
bored to tears again.
-
And uh Mark, this is your your pick.
-
>> I'll put it right there.
-
>> Um so Lincoln and I are bored and he
-
sees the Nike store
-
>> and he goes, "Let's go to Nike." I said,
-
"Boom. Let's go." So we walk in there
-
and Link's drawn to this one spot on the
-
wall and we go over and he's he's
-
looking at the new Nike slides. Have you
-
guys seen these things?
-
>> Let's see a picture. Look at that.
-
>> Am I getting old? Because that's the
-
most hideous shoe I've ever seen in my
-
life. It looks like putting a cyber
-
truck on your feet
-
and he's all Link's all about it, right?
-
I was I was nice about I was like, you
-
know, whatever. Then you look at the
-
price tag and you're like, uh, you can
-
need a job, little boy. Yeah.
-
But I couldn't help but think about what
-
Zillian and I just went through and the
-
gear that we got. Then I was thinking
-
about, man, what are these shoes? What
-
are they even good for?
-
You know,
-
>> I don't even like flip-flops, let alone
-
a slide.
-
>> Am I getting old, Pastor Dan?
-
>> I mean, maybe to the pool.
-
>> Maybe around the house. I think I'm too
-
old to wear them to the mall. I think
-
I'd look like a goofball walking around
-
the mall in those things, as most of you
-
would. I'm not the only one.
-
>> But I was thinking about the Nike hiking
-
shoes
-
versus the Nike slides. Same swoosh,
-
right? Two different designs, two
-
different purposes. Let's see that Nike
-
hiking shoe. Yeah, you can go places
-
with that.
-
>> It's not my color, but man, you can you
-
can get somewhere with that thing,
-
right?
-
You're designed
-
on purpose with a purpose. Could you
-
wear those Nike slides up the mountain?
-
>> You can try.
-
Yeah, you're going to slip around and
-
stub your toe and I'd tip right over. I
-
wouldn't even make it through the woods,
-
let alone up a mountain.
-
Get done with that thing, your feet are
-
going to be screaming, "These shoes are
-
not made for this." Right? These shoes
-
are not made for this. Can I tell you
-
that when you live a life of sin, your
-
spirit is crying that your soul's not
-
made for this?
-
>> Amen. Amen.
-
>> You were designed on purpose for a
-
purpose.
-
>> With purpose,
-
>> same swoosh. Two designs, two different
-
purposes. One was designed for comfort.
-
One was designed for the climb.
-
Spiritually,
-
you're designed for the climb.
-
You're designed for kingdom terrain.
-
And when you sin or when you live a life
-
that you're just pleasing self, that's
-
why there's this overarching feeling on
-
the inside of you that this doesn't fit.
-
In my sin life, I used to have this ick
-
on the inside of me crying out, "There's
-
got to be more to life than this." It
-
was one of the things that put me in in
-
that that unsaved mindset of seeking
-
after God. If you're real, show me.
-
because there has to be more to life
-
than this. That same ache was a was a
-
thing that the devil used to put me in a
-
suicidal thought of going, "Why am I
-
even alive? There's got to be more to
-
life than this. And if this is all it
-
is, I'm out."
-
What are you designed for?
-
Look at your neighbor and say, "You were
-
made for more."
-
>> You weren't designed for sin.
-
Sin doesn't fit your spec sheet. Amen.
-
>> Scripture says you are his workmanship,
-
created in Christ Jesus
-
for good works. That literally means
-
you're designed for righteousness.
-
>> Hallelujah.
-
>> You were designed for good works.
-
That's why when you show up, when you
-
deny your own flesh and and man, you let
-
start letting God move in your life,
-
that's why it feels right. Amen. And
-
man, this isn't a walk of feelings. This
-
is a walk of faith. But when you step on
-
faith and you move with God,
-
>> you go, "Man, there was something right
-
about that.
-
>> Something good about that." And man, I
-
get hungry. I go, "Man, I want I'd liked
-
a little bit more of that."
-
>> That's the good stuff. Taste and see
-
that the Lord is good.
-
You're designed for the climb. You're
-
designed to walk with God.
-
You're designed to carry his presence.
-
You're designed to live
-
with purpose. Look at your neighbor and
-
say, "No wonder sin doesn't fit you."
-
No wonder sin doesn't fit you. Have you
-
guys ever noticed that rebellion
-
never actually really feels like
-
freedom?
-
>> Oh, y'all too holy on me. You never
-
rebelled.
-
I know you were 13. Bob Miller, I know
-
you were 13 once.
-
Yeah.
-
Rebellion never feels really like
-
freedom. Compromise always leaves you
-
feeling empty.
-
Looked like fun till you got there. Then
-
the consequence of sin comes.
-
Something on the inside of you saying,
-
"I'm not being used for what I was made
-
for."
-
>> I think that's the design of God. It's
-
what brought some of us to salvation
-
is that we're uncomfortable in sin.
-
So, I want to talk about what that
-
design looks like. I'm going to quickly
-
give you
-
three things
-
of what you're designed for.
-
Number one is you're designed for power.
-
You're designed for power.
-
You're designed for power. Whoever
-
believes in me will do the works that I
-
do. Man, that's powerful stuff.
-
heal the sick, cast out demons,
-
raise the dead.
-
I love that God takes average everyday
-
people,
-
looks them in the eyes, and says,
-
"You're going to do exactly what I do."
-
Man, one of my favorite scriptures is
-
God chose the foolish things of the
-
world to confound the wise.
-
>> To confound the first thing I ever felt
-
qualified for, foolish. Got it.
-
Amen.
-
God chose the foolish things of this
-
world to confound the wise. Think about
-
confounding.
-
Confounding isn't, oh, I go I joined a
-
small group.
-
I'm going to go serve here and do this.
-
That's not confounding to the wise.
-
Miracles, power, Holy Spirit movement,
-
anointing that breaks the yoke of
-
bondage. Those things confound the wise.
-
Especially when your life when they look
-
at you and they go this this foolish
-
this little thing and he and all of a
-
sudden he prayed and that power
-
happened.
-
>> You're designed for power.
-
>> You're designed to let the spirit of God
-
flow through you in such a way that is
-
confounding to the unsaved.
-
>> You're not designed to be stale. You're
-
not designed to be lukewarm.
-
You're not designed just to warm a seat
-
every Sunday. You're designed for power.
-
>> Greater works
-
than these will you do. It means the
-
same power is available to you will flow
-
through you. And he says because I'm
-
going to the father.
-
What happened when Jesus went to the
-
father?
-
He's able to pour out the spirit of the
-
living God upon all flesh. started with
-
the 120 in the upper room.
-
Same spirit that rose Christ from the
-
dead now dwells in you. Same spirit that
-
hovered over the waters of the deep in
-
Genesis now dwells in you.
-
Same spirit that fell in that upper room
-
dwells in you.
-
You're not designed to live powerless.
-
I want power, not mine. I want God to
-
use me in a in an amazing way over and
-
over consistently. I want him to look at
-
my life and say, "Oh, yeah, he gets it.
-
I'm going to use him. Ask him to pray.
-
Ask him to preach. Ask him to go. Ask
-
him to because I know he'll he'll let
-
the spirit out. He's not going to do it
-
in his own strength.
-
I want power.
-
You're not designed to barely hang on
-
till heaven.
-
Well, I'm a good guy. Do the best I can.
-
I'm I think I've done good enough. Good
-
Lord's going to let me into heaven
-
someday.
-
God bless you, sir. But you're designed
-
for more.
-
>> Yes. Amen.
-
>> You're designed for Bible calls us more
-
than conquerors.
-
>> Not designed to hang on till heaven.
-
You're designed to bring heaven into
-
your right now.
-
You're designed in such a way that when
-
you walk in the room, life walks in with
-
you.
-
>> Peace walks in with you. Spiritual
-
authority walks in with you.
-
>> We're not just a Christian that goes to
-
church. We are the church. We are the
-
carriers of the power of the living God.
-
I've warned
-
people
-
that I get bored really easy with stale
-
church.
-
I do. I got I got to see God doing
-
something. I I get bored easy with
-
anything, right?
-
That's why I'm uh this why I'm fasting
-
Tik Tok right now because I because I
-
get bored easy and nothing speaks to me.
-
Bored. Bored. Bored. Bored. Cool. Bored.
-
Bored. Right. Anyone
-
else get bored easy?
-
>> Yeah,
-
I get bored with stale lukewarm.
-
I'm ready to go.
-
And this is what God spoke to me very
-
recently in the spirit. I know it was
-
heaven. He says, "You go and whoever
-
wants to go with me will walk with you."
-
Amen.
-
>> So, I'm going going with God. You got
-
power dwelling on the inside of you.
-
It's sitting in your spirit and it's
-
waiting for your mouth to say yes. Amen.
-
>> It's waiting for your hands to say yes.
-
It's waiting for your feet to get up and
-
go where the spirit of God dwells on the
-
inside of you and your tongue has the
-
power of life and death.
-
You got power.
-
Man, I was thinking about jumper cables.
-
Told you I get bored easy.
-
>> I've retired my traditional jumper
-
cables. Man, those things are so 2010.
-
>> We got jump boxes now, right?
-
>> Yeah,
-
>> these things are cool. And and I've had
-
I had an old jump box finally died on
-
me. But man, I got this little one now
-
and it's like 165 jump starts I can do
-
on this. And I just plug it into my
-
USBC. It charges up. Keep it under the
-
back seat of my truck. We're good to go.
-
Man, that thing's got power. It's
-
serious. I was thinking about, man, I
-
got a battery. I got a I got a Holy
-
Ghost fire living on I want to touch
-
somebody. Get over here. Let me let me
-
charge you up, man. You're looking a
-
little dead. Hey. Hallelujah.
-
>> Man, I got to let it out. I get I've
-
been in the secret place, man. I've been
-
I've been with God. Amen. I got to I got
-
to tell somebody about Jesus.
-
I got a full battery
-
ready to let it out.
-
It's why the power of God,
-
let me say this. You have the power of
-
God in you. That's why the enemy works
-
so hard to isolate you.
-
It's why he works double time to
-
convince you that you're powerless.
-
Convince you that you're disqualified.
-
Convince you that you're not worthy.
-
Say, "Devil, shut up. Amen.
-
>> I'm designed on purpose with a purpose.
-
And that purpose is God's power flowing
-
through me
-
>> and I'm going to go
-
>> start laying hands on people.
-
Man, it devil tries to keep you silent
-
because if you ever realize what you
-
carry,
-
if you ever actually realize what you're
-
designed for, man, revival is going to
-
follow you everywhere. You won't Man, my
-
wife gets agitated. Well, you can't even
-
get out of Walmart praying for somebody.
-
Yeah.
-
Talking with folks. Pastor Jack, you
-
ever do it? Trying to get the waitress
-
saved. Hallelujah.
-
Where do you go to church, man? Let me
-
talk to you. Hey, I got something on the
-
inside of me.
-
If you ever realize what you're designed
-
for,
-
life is going to happen. Start seeing
-
people get healed. Man, you're going to
-
start having a revival right in your
-
living room. You're going to start
-
speaking life over your children.
-
Lives are going to change because of
-
you.
-
You hold the key.
-
It's up to you to fulfill the purpose,
-
to fulfill the design
-
or not.
-
Not only are you not an accident, but
-
where God has you isn't an accident.
-
That job that God has you in, the house
-
that you live in, the neighbor next to
-
you,
-
>> that 93y old in a Buick right in front
-
of you in the left lane.
-
>> I'm like you, Jack. I speak I I'm a
-
verbal processor a lot of times. I say
-
the gas pedal's on the right, ma'am.
-
Yeah. So, just a little bit.
-
>> Then I have to repent. Be nice.
-
Forbila's doing the best she can.
-
Hallelujah.
-
Where God has you is not an accident.
-
And and not only do you are you designed
-
on purpose, but where God has you is on
-
purpose. And it's not to you for you to
-
get frustrated or agitated or to pull
-
back. It's for you to express the power
-
of God,
-
>> to bless and not curse. Amen.
-
>> Do you know that you're the most
-
powerful person in every room that you
-
walk into?
-
Because the spirit of the living God
-
dwells in you. You're designed for
-
power. And that power flows from a
-
person. Number two, in your notes,
-
you're designed for presence.
-
You're designed for presence.
-
Jesus said, "I'm going to the father."
-
When he goes to the father, he sends the
-
spirit.
-
Holy Spirit poured out upon all flesh,
-
sons and daughters, young and old. Not a
-
special class of people, not priests,
-
not prophets, just ordinary men and
-
women.
-
>> The spirit of God was poured out upon
-
them. And Jesus said, "Everyone who
-
believes in me, man, you're going to do
-
miracles. You're going to have power.
-
You're going to have presence. You're
-
designed to host the presence of the
-
living God,
-
not just visit him on Sundays.
-
He says the spirit will be with you
-
and in you. That means when you wake up
-
Monday morning, man, there's a revival
-
to be had.
-
Amen.
-
I suspect there's some in this room that
-
have never really felt
-
the tangible presence of God.
-
I suspect that maybe you felt it today.
-
I did. I do right now.
-
It's evidential the presence of God.
-
Can I say this? The God that we serve is
-
not playing hideand go seek
-
with believers.
-
Hunger and thirst after his I mean I
-
think they just chase after him.
-
Chase after him and say, "God, I want to
-
feel you. I want to see you." And God
-
says, "All right, come right. I'll do
-
it." Because it's his desire that he
-
would be made known unto you.
-
And when you get it, don't leave it.
-
Steward the presence of God in your
-
life. Host him.
-
God's closer than you think.
-
That presence that you've been searching
-
for in other people and your phone and
-
other relationships, it's a God-shaped
-
hunger that only he can fulfill. And I
-
believe this. You're one prayer away.
-
>> Amen.
-
You're one prayer away, man. Uh you're
-
not a thermometer.
-
You're a thermostat.
-
>> Let me say this. You weren't designed
-
just to read the atmosphere. You were
-
designed to create atmosphere.
-
Amen.
-
>> We're so victim mentality and so
-
reactive to the things that are
-
happening out here when God designed you
-
for the spirit of God to be led out of
-
you.
-
I don't want to hang around her. She
-
gossips.
-
They just give me the ick. Let's not go
-
over there.
-
And and instead of being evangelistic,
-
instead of having the power of God flow
-
through us, we keep isolating and
-
pulling back to where we have no
-
relationship and no influence because
-
we're reacting to everyone else's flesh.
-
We're being a thermometer instead of
-
being a thermostat and walking into the
-
room and setting the temperature of God.
-
>> Amen.
-
>> Stick around me. I'll set your
-
temperature for you.
-
Want to gossip? Hey, I don't want to
-
hear that. We got We got too nice in
-
America.
-
Oh, we'll just We're too passive. We'll
-
just pull back. I don't want to say I
-
don't want to offend anyone. So, we just
-
won't be around them again. Hey, say
-
something. You're called to be the salt
-
of the earth and the light of the world
-
to shine light in the darkness. Amen.
-
>> Hostess presence.
-
That wasn't in my notes. That was free.
-
When we worship, when we open our mouth
-
in prayer, we walk in obedience. We set
-
the temperature.
-
We create the atmosphere. Life comes
-
with us.
-
Sometimes I hear people talk about man I
-
have uh unhealthy home life. I have
-
feels heavy. I don't like my job. Walk
-
in it's oppression, confusion, chaos.
-
Well, change the temperature.
-
Change the temperature. You're designed
-
to host a different atmosphere.
-
Number three is designed for passion.
-
You're designed for passion. Colossians
-
chapter 3 verse 23 says, "Whatever you
-
do, say whatever."
-
>> Whatever.
-
>> Whatever you do, work heartily
-
as for the Lord and not for man.
-
Hardily. We don't use that word much
-
anymore.
-
Maybe we should bring it back.
-
I ate heartily last night for dinner.
-
Yeah.
-
Work with passion. Says whatever you do,
-
man, go do it.
-
You're going to pray, pray.
-
You're going to read the Bible. I just
-
read a I read a chapter and I get
-
sleepy.
-
I'm not trying to offend, but I'm saying
-
get saved.
-
>> Amen.
-
>> If you're going to read the Bible, read
-
it. Pick a book and say, "Man, I'm no
-
I'm no dummy. I can figure this thing
-
out."
-
>> You have every resource available, MORE
-
THAN ANY OTHER HUMAN IN ANY other
-
generation has had to figure out what
-
THE BOOK SAYS. SIT DOWN AND STUDY.
-
Bible says to study to show yourself
-
approved, a workman that needeth not to
-
be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of
-
truth.
-
>> How many Sundays are you going to get
-
spoonfed before you learn to feed
-
yourself?
-
>> Man, I almost started preaching.
-
>> You're designed for more.
-
>> Whatever you do, man, go after it. Work
-
with passion. Work heartily as unto the
-
Lord. God, I'm not doing it so I can
-
impress somebody at church. I'm doing it
-
so I can get to know you.
-
>> There you go.
-
You going to pray?
-
I did my five minutes.
-
Oh, my phone went off again. Oh, so this
-
Oh, pray.
-
If you're going to pray, pray.
-
Dwelling in the secret place of the most
-
high. That's my calling. I'm going to
-
dwell in the secret place of the most
-
high. I am going to pray without
-
ceasing.
-
I am going to walk with spiritual
-
authority and power and the presence of
-
God is going to walk with me. NOT
-
BECAUSE NOT BECAUSE I conjured it up,
-
because I've been in the secret place
-
with God.
-
You'll never get wholehearted results
-
with half-hearted efforts.
-
Romans 12
-
10 says this, "Love one another with
-
brotherly affection.
-
Outdo one another in showing honor."
-
Listen to this. Do not be slothful in
-
zeal.
-
Another word I want to bring back.
-
Dagum sloth.
-
Do not be slothful in zeal. Catch this.
-
Be fervent in spirit. Serve the Lord. Be
-
fervent in spirit. Serve the Lord.
-
Don't be slothful. Be fervent in spirit
-
and serve the Lord.
-
Rejoice in hope. Be patient in
-
tribulation. Be constant in prayer. Man,
-
when book of Acts, Holy Spirit came out.
-
Do you guys know that it was tongues of
-
fire,
-
a rushing mighty wind that came in?
-
It wasn't. God could have done anything.
-
He could have gave him blankets and warm
-
milk to curl up in the corner with.
-
He was representing himself, but man,
-
tongues of fire. Do you know that they
-
disrupted? Jack liked that one.
-
You all right, Jack?
-
>> Yeah.
-
Sit around sucking our thumbs, man.
-
>> Fire fell, wind blew, they got loud.
-
Holy Spirit spilled through them out
-
into the streets. Peter stood up and
-
preached. Thousands got saved.
-
>> Hallelujah.
-
>> Daily. Thousands got saved. Daily.
-
Thousands got saved. There was a fire
-
that fell on the inside of them and they
-
were passionate about Jesus and about
-
the works of God. For the first time in
-
their lives, they probably felt like
-
they were fulfilling what they were
-
designed to do.
-
Not designed to be spiritually bored and
-
lukewarm.
-
That pastor almost done.
-
You know what time the game comes on,
-
pastor?
-
I don't know.
-
I'm just hungry for more.
-
I'm just ready to go.
-
>> Yeah.
-
Stinking bored with status quo.
-
Time to get up, get out, and go with
-
God. Close
-
with this. You're designed to burn.
-
Jeremiah 20:9, he says, "There is
-
in my heart a burning fire shut up in my
-
bones, and I am weary of holding it in.
-
I cannot."
-
That's God. That's your design. I got a
-
fire shut up in my bones. in the deepest
-
place of my being and it is it is
-
starting man it's kindled and it's break
-
it's starting to rage
-
God's burning on the inside I can't hold
-
this stuff in anymore I got I got Holy
-
Ghost jump I got to go touch somebody I
-
got to go tell I got I'm man I'm I'm
-
feeling some kind of way I got to let it
-
out that's your design you're designed
-
to burn with the passion of heaven
-
>> you're designed to burn wi with a
-
passion for lost souls you're designed
-
to burn with a faith that moves
-
mountains
-
You know, we were at that conference in
-
Nashville. Pastor Corey Russell was one
-
of the keynote speakers. He said
-
something
-
that's stuck with me. I've been kind of
-
hanging out on it for a while. He said,
-
"Intimacy creates pregnancy."
-
Pregnancy.
-
This is what I've added to it. I've been
-
thinking for praying into that.
-
Pregnancy is life. It brings life.
-
Intimacy
-
creates pregnancy.
-
That means we get in that secret place
-
with God.
-
Dwelling in the secret place of the most
-
high.
-
It brings life.
-
When I know when I get bored is when I
-
see a whole lot of plastic babies in the
-
American church world.
-
A lot of plastic worship. A lot of
-
plastic smiles,
-
plastic programs
-
because we refuse to go to the secret
-
place. We refuse to tap into the spirit
-
of the living God. And so we know what
-
it's supposed to look like. And so we're
-
going to fake it till we make it. And so
-
we're going to we're going to come up
-
with our own version. Look, it's a
-
little baby. It's plastic.
-
I want you to picture an adult woman
-
carrying a plastic baby and treating it
-
like it's a real living child. You'd go,
-
"Uh,
-
uh, we got screw loose.
-
That's bizarre.
-
>> We need to we need to pray for that
-
woman, right?
-
We do it in the spirit.
-
We do it in the church world.
-
We have meeting after meeting. God never
-
shows up. God never does a thing. But
-
we've learned how to do church really
-
well. It's plastic Christianity.
-
Not here.
-
Not in this house.
-
I need authentic.
-
I need the real thing. I need life.
-
Let's stand to our feet all over this
-
house. I'll ask the worship team to join
-
me.
-
spirit of God will cause a holy
-
dissatisfaction with going through the
-
motions.
-
And I'll say this, life cannot be
-
manufactured in your flesh or in your
-
own strength.
-
Life is manufactured when you surrender
-
yourself to the lordship of Jesus. When
-
you surrender yourself to the presence
-
of God. When you surrender yourself to
-
the secret place of the most high, life
-
begins to happen, intimacy brings
-
pregnancy.
-
John 7:38,
-
Jesus said, "Whoever believes in me, as
-
the scripture has said,
-
out of his heart will flow rivers of
-
living water.
-
Praise you, Jesus.
-
I believe in you, Lord.
-
I'm believing God in such a way that the
-
river of life can flow through me.
-
In just a moment, we're going to
-
transition.
-
We're going to sing some worship.
-
Our prayer team is going to be up here.
-
There are several in this house that I
-
don't want you to miss this moment.
-
You're designed for power.
-
You're designed for presence.
-
And you're designed for passion.
-
Can I say this? You're overbuilt for the
-
life that you're settling for.
-
You're overbuilt by God for the life
-
that you're settling for. And if you're
-
in here and you're hearing this and
-
going, "Man, uh, I'm seeing a passion.
-
I'm hearing about this stuff, the power,
-
and and I don't think I'm I don't think
-
I'm functioning that way and I'm hungry
-
for more. I I want you to come to this
-
altar.
-
I don't mean in a few minutes. I mean
-
right now in this moment, I want you to
-
step out from where you are and I want
-
you to come up to this altar and say,
-
"God, I'm hungry for more. I'm hungry to
-
be used by you. I'm hungry to fulfill
-
the design that you have in my life.
-
If you're in here and you feel
-
powerless, I want you to come.
-
>> If you're in here and you're hungry
-
for the presence of God, maybe you've
-
had it before and it's been a while.
-
Maybe you've never had it and you're
-
going, "Man, I I want to I want to sense
-
what you're talking about, pastor."
-
Same thing. I want you to come to this
-
altar.
-
H
-
maybe home feels heavy or your mind
-
feels noisy and you're looking for God
-
to quiet that down a little bit.
-
Ready for the peace and the power, the
-
presence of God.
-
If you're in this room also
-
and you know that your passion
-
for Christ has grown cold,
-
that you're not on fire like you should
-
be,
-
>> I want to invite you to this altar.
-
If you're in here and you've never given
-
your life to Jesus Christ,
-
>> I think today would be a good day to do
-
it.
-
Praise you, Jesus.
-
Thank you, Lord. Could we pray together?
-
Father, I thank you for freedom.
-
Thank you for spiritual authority. I
-
thank you for an anointing in this
-
house. I thank you God for taking us
-
from there to here.
-
>> Praise you Jesus.
-
>> Thank you Lord. There's a shifting in
-
the atmosphere.
-
>> Praise you Jesus. We worship you today.
-
When every eye closed, if you're in this
-
house,
-
>> you're hearing God minister to you,
-
speak to you today, and you're going,
-
"Pastor, I need to give my life to Jesus
-
Christ." I want you to lift your hand.
-
Not going to embarrass you.
-
I'm gonna call you out. I see your
-
hands,
-
>> but I'm ready to go all in.
-
>> Thank you. You can put your hands down.
-
We're all just going to get saved again
-
together today.
-
>> Praise you, Jesus. If you lifted your
-
hand,
-
>> and you believe,
-
>> you pray this prayer with your heart,
-
>> God says you'll be saved.
-
So, I'm going to ask everyone in this
-
room to follow me in this prayer. Say,
-
"Father in heaven,
-
>> Father in heaven,
-
>> I'm a sinner.
-
>> I've messed up.
-
>> I fall short.
-
>> And I'm asking
-
>> I'm asking
-
>> for forgiveness.
-
>> forgiveness.
-
>> Wash me.
-
>> Cleanse me.
-
>> Purify me.
-
>> By the blood of Jesus,
-
>> by the blood of Jesus,
-
>> I confess with my mouth.
-
>> I confess with my mouth. From here on
-
out,
-
>> from here on out,
-
>> Jesus Christ
-
>> is Lord of my life.
-
>> Lord of my life.
-
>> And I believe
-
>> I believe
-
>> in my heart
-
>> that you raised
-
>> you
-
>> Jesus from the dead.
-
>> And according to your living word
-
>> according to your living word
-
>> I'm saved.
-
>> I'm delivered.
-
>> I'm healed.
-
>> I'm set free.
-
>> In Jesus name.
-
>> Amen. Can we celebrate the work of the
-
Lord?
-
Hallelujah.
-
>> Our prayer team is going to be
-
available. They might be drifting. They
-
might put a hand on your back. They
-
might pray for you. But for those that
-
have come to the altar and this at any
-
moment, you can step out and come
-
forward.
-
But we're not going to hold your hand in
-
prayer today. whatever purpose, whatever
-
reason you came to this altar for in
-
your own way. I'm going to ask you to
-
chase after God for that need in your
-
life.
-
>> And we'll agree with you in prayer. And
-
everyone back there is going to be
-
agreeing with you in prayer. And we're
-
going to worship the Lord
-
>> together.
-
>> Amen.
-
>> Praise the Lord.
