  1. Hallelujah.

  2. You guys awake today?

  3. >> Praise the Lord, man. Is this my amen

  4. section over here?

  5. >> Hallelujah. Pastor Jack, you're leading

  6. you're leading the charge. You're the

  7. amen section today.

  8. >> Hallelujah.

  9. Hey, uh you guys ready for a word?

  10. >> I'm feeling some kind of way today.

  11. >> You're going to hear it.

  12. Leo, we need to get microphones out here

  13. because we need people online to

  14. interact a little more. Praise the Lord.

  15. Hey, if you're a first- time guest with

  16. us, uh my name is Ben. Have the

  17. opportunity to serve as lead pastor

  18. here. We are celebrating 15 years as a

  19. church.

  20. >> Hallelujah.

  21. All right. I I need to know who the

  22. old-timers here are here. Who's been at

  23. Grace Summit Church since the very

  24. beginning? Raise your hand. Look around

  25. this room, guys. Look at all this.

  26. And it's got to be a good church to hang

  27. out for 15 years straight.

  28. Hallelujah. When my wife and I came 5

  29. years ago, uh we were impressed with the

  30. foundation that God has laid here. Amen.

  31. >> Uh man, and and uh it's not just 15

  32. years as a church. It's 15 years of

  33. salvations, 15 years of miracles, 15

  34. years of households getting saved. Amen.

  35. Let's just celebrate the work of God.

  36. And where God has me as we're

  37. celebrating the last 15 years, God has

  38. me looking forward to what's the next 15

  39. years look like?

  40. >> Where are we taking this thing? Where

  41. where is God leading us? Amen.

  42. >> And I got to tell you, the best is yet

  43. to come.

  44. >> God's been speaking to me a few things

  45. about the future of Grace Summit Church.

  46. And man, I'm just excited to go where

  47. he's taking us. Amen.

  48. >> Man, I almost started preaching. Got to

  49. my notes yet.

  50. Hallelujah.

  51. We're kicking off a series today called

  52. a new series called designed. Say

  53. designed.

  54. >> Designed.

  55. >> Pray with me. Father, I thank you, Lord,

  56. for Lord, this atmosphere being your

  57. atmosphere.

  58. And Lord, your Holy Spirit reigns

  59. supreme above all things.

  60. >> God, we thank you for your anointing

  61. today, God, that we can even hear from

  62. heaven. God, that we can have spiritual

  63. eyes to see what you're showing us. And

  64. Father, I pray Lord today you use me as

  65. your vessel to speak to your people.

  66. And so Lord, I thank you for it. Have

  67. your way. Your will be done in Jesus

  68. name. Amen.

  69. So design uh everything I preach in this

  70. series over the next few weeks and

  71. including today comes down to a very

  72. simple statement

  73. that you were designed by God on purpose

  74. and with purpose.

  75. Say purpose.

  76. >> Purpose.

  77. >> Man, I'm going to make you talk back to

  78. me today.

  79. >> Designed on purpose and with purpose.

  80. Sometimes we'll get to the place in our

  81. faith where we believe that we are

  82. designed on purpose by God, contrary to

  83. what the public school system tried to

  84. tell you.

  85. >> Well, it was a goo and then there was

  86. some some lightning or there stardust.

  87. Come on, get saved, man.

  88. >> You're not an accident. There's a

  89. designer. Amen. Sometimes we'll get to

  90. that place where we be we believe that

  91. we've been designed on purpose. But

  92. sometimes it takes us a little while by

  93. the spirit to get to the place where

  94. we're designed we believe that we're

  95. designed with purpose

  96. and we're actually walking in and

  97. fulfilling

  98. that purpose. If you have a Bible this

  99. morning, go with me to the Gospel of

  100. John in the 14th chapter.

  101. John 14.

  102. And we're going to start reading at

  103. verse 12. And these are some uh words in

  104. red. You guys know what the red ones

  105. mean, don't you?

  106. >> That's my Jesus talking to me.

  107. >> That's the good stuff.

  108. >> John 14:12

    John 14:12

  109. Jesus said this, "Truly, truly I say to

  110. you,

  111. whoever believes in me," say whoever.

  112. >> Whoever

  113. >> whoever believes in me will also do the

  114. works that I do. Man, I just want to

  115. hang out there for a minute.

  116. >> Do you believe in Jesus?

  117. >> Do you do the works of Jesus?

  118. >> No.

  119. >> Appreciate your vulnerability, Carla.

  120. >> We keep her in the front row for a

  121. reason.

  122. >> It's like Yeah. It's like the It's like

  123. the school. Like, you're going to sit up

  124. front so we can keep an eye on you.

  125. Man, what a convicting text. And I think

  126. about the first disciples hearing this.

  127. They've been walking with Christ for

  128. years, right? And they're watching dead

  129. people get raised back to life. They're

  130. they're watching uh people get healed.

  131. They're they're they're seeing this

  132. woman come up and just touch the hem of

  133. his garment and she gets healed. I I

  134. mean I mean eyes, blind eyes being able

  135. to see, lame getting UP AND AND SHOUTING

  136. FOR JOY. AND JESUS says to them,

  137. "Whoever believes,

  138. you're going to do the same thing."

  139. Uh-oh. I'm preaching to an American

  140. church.

  141. I'm preaching to a church that has a

  142. certain level of faith, but we don't

  143. know if we ascribe to all of what Jesus

  144. said.

  145. Well, I believe in God.

  146. Good. Good. First step, devil. The demon

  147. said that

  148. whoever believes in me

  149. will do what I do is what Jesus says.

  150. What's it? What else does he say? And

  151. say and

  152. >> greater works than these will he do.

  153. Whoever believes.

  154. Whoever believes, he goes on, he says,

  155. because

  156. I'm going to the father. Whatever you

  157. ask in my name, this I will do.

  158. Why Jesus? He says that the father may

  159. be glorified

  160. in the son.

  161. I'm hearing some divine purpose laid out

  162. upon our life.

  163. You know, we're going through and very

  164. soon you guys will get to see some

  165. images. uh working on the redesign for

  166. potential church expansion and been

  167. working with architects now for a while

  168. and they do these things called spec

  169. sheets, right? Gives you all the details

  170. of the design. Man, we're we're getting

  171. the the spec sheet for you right here

  172. from Jesus. What's your spec sheet? What

  173. are you designed for? There's a purpose

  174. behind

  175. your life.

  176. Jesus says in verse 14, "If you ask

  177. anything in my name,

  178. I will do it."

  179. So half the battle is knowing why I'm

  180. here. The second half uh is knowing what

  181. I'm called to do.

  182. What did God design you for? We're

  183. talking about being designed. He says,

  184. "Ask me anything." Man, that's a big

  185. word.

  186. Ask me anything and I'll do it. Jesus

  187. says, "Ask me and watch me show up. Ask

  188. me. Just ask me." He He's just waiting

  189. for you to to to get in prayer and begin

  190. to to ask for the miracles of anything

  191. according to his will. God, I'm praying

  192. for the miracle. God, I'm praying for

  193. the freedom. God, I'm praying for the

  194. breakthrough. He says, I'm just waiting

  195. for you to step into that secret place

  196. where you get serious with God and start

  197. to pray the promises of God and watch me

  198. show up in your life like you've never

  199. seen before. Amen.

  200. >> I'm preaching better than you're amening

  201. this morning.

  202. >> I want to speak something over you. The

  203. psalmist said

  204. that God knit you together.

  205. Say knit.

  206. >> Say he threw you together with some

  207. leftovers.

  208. >> Some of you I wonder about

  209. You weren't accidentally assembled. You

  210. were knit together by God himself.

  211. Ephesians 2 10 says that you are his

  212. workmanship,

  213. his craftsmanship,

  214. created in Christ Jesus for a purpose.

  215. Catch this. for good works that he

  216. prepared in advance for you.

  217. I feel like preaching this morning.

  218. You're not random. You're not a mistake.

  219. You are designed by God on purpose and

  220. with purpose. You are fearfully and

  221. wonderfully made.

  222. Fearfully and wonderfully made.

  223. Man,

  224. you know, a couple weeks ago, I think I

  225. shared this with some of you. A couple

  226. weeks ago, uh my daughter Zoe and I went

  227. to Red River Gorge, Kentucky.

  228. Man, was that a good time. Uh we did us

  229. uh there's some pictures.

  230. >> Isn't she beautiful?

  231. >> Yes,

  232. >> Miss Zoe Bell.

  233. >> Uh man, we did some mountain hiking.

  234. This picture is uh after quite the

  235. vigorous climb. And uh that's not like

  236. you'd drive to this beautiful beautiful

  237. scenic spot and get out and walk. You

  238. know, we had to climb to that point. So

  239. that's why we're she's looking uh pretty

  240. accomplished right there. And uh man, we

  241. had to we had the gear before we went.

  242. Look at that. Man, we went underneath

  243. the mountain. Did the glass bottom

  244. kayaks. Get to see the size of the

  245. rainbow trout. Man, I was wishing I had

  246. my fishing pole. Yeah.

  247. And go go old school redneck on them.

  248. I wanted to grab it. They were right

  249. there. I just wanted to grab one.

  250. >> Fight it. That would have disrupted the

  251. atmosphere. Huh.

  252. But man, we climbed up uh what they call

  253. Indian staircase. And I got to tell you,

  254. man, I'm looking I had the all trails

  255. out and I'm looking at it beforehand.

  256. I'm going that's pretty serious. CL says

  257. it's hard, right? Uh I'm picturing a

  258. staircase.

  259. >> It wasn't a No, I don't even know where

  260. they got the terminology stair. We got a

  261. video. Look at this thing.

  262. Look at

  263. >> Yeah. This is after a couple of mile 2.4

  264. miles we're already in now. And uh I got

  265. Zoe with me,

  266. man. And we're like we're we're just

  267. hanging on up there. I mean, you look

  268. over the edge and I'm like, "Woo!" There

  269. was a couple of times Zoe she cuz I'm

  270. pushing her up to get her up there,

  271. right? And so she gets up there. She's

  272. wandering off. I said, "Hey, hey, get

  273. back over there. You're making me

  274. nervous." Yeah. Look at the little

  275. people up there.

  276. >> Yeah, we we're But look down here.

  277. That's where we came from right there.

  278. We're climbing vines

  279. >> and rocks and all this stuff. And I'm

  280. going, God, what am I? And we got to

  281. that point. That was like the hardest

  282. point. And I'm looking at that point and

  283. I'm going, I don't think I can get back

  284. down. And I'm go I'm looking up going, I

  285. I don't I think I think we're going up

  286. whether we like it or not. Right now,

  287. let's see the next video here. So, this

  288. is after we've hiked and man, we more

  289. mileage in and we got to a point and I

  290. said, "Look, that's what we climbed."

  291. You have to forgive the cameraman.

  292. That's a 44 year old going,

  293. "Look at this. Look at this." Okay, so

  294. we we were down here, right? We started

  295. way down in the woods and then made it

  296. up to that spot.

  297. All right, camera guy. Pull yourself

  298. together, man.

  299. Look at this. That's what we went up.

  300. >> Uh oh, it started over.

  301. We were uh we were we sat there long

  302. enough to watch these little ant-sized

  303. humans.

  304. >> And I'm like, "Oh, that's where we

  305. were." And I'm not going back that way.

  306. We're going.

  307. But before we left, we uh got some uh

  308. new gear.

  309. Uh we got some new backpacks. Well, my

  310. mine is pretty cool, man. It has the

  311. spot up front here, and I keep all my my

  312. phone, all my goodies in there, you

  313. know, uh, chewing gum, all the stuff.

  314. But,

  315. don't start.

  316. So, but it has these hydration bladders

  317. on the back. You guys ever seen these

  318. things?

  319. >> Oh, they're rad. Yeah. You need to go

  320. today. Like, I don't care if you get on

  321. your phone right now and get on Amazon

  322. and have one.

  323. They're amazing. I'm going to start

  324. wearing them into my subdivision when I

  325. have to go on a walk. I had 2.5 L of

  326. water right here anytime I want. Walk

  327. along then.

  328. Yeah. And we had to get before we left,

  329. we got Zoe some new hiking shoes uh to

  330. be able to make it through. Now we were

  331. making sure that we had the right gear.

  332. So that's Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.

  333. Did five hikes and got some miles in.

  334. And then uh we left Red River Gorge,

  335. Kentucky to drive to Nashville,

  336. Tennessee to meet up with uh the rest of

  337. our crew for uh a conference.

  338. And part of that is we went down to the

  339. downtown area of Nashville. And uh the

  340. girls were I don't know what you girls

  341. do half the time. They were shopping at

  342. Free People, I think. Is that where you

  343. were? Free People. So Lincoln and I are

  344. bored to tears again.

  345. And uh Mark, this is your your pick.

  346. >> I'll put it right there.

  347. >> Um so Lincoln and I are bored and he

  348. sees the Nike store

  349. >> and he goes, "Let's go to Nike." I said,

  350. "Boom. Let's go." So we walk in there

  351. and Link's drawn to this one spot on the

  352. wall and we go over and he's he's

  353. looking at the new Nike slides. Have you

  354. guys seen these things?

  355. >> Let's see a picture. Look at that.

  356. >> Am I getting old? Because that's the

  357. most hideous shoe I've ever seen in my

  358. life. It looks like putting a cyber

  359. truck on your feet

  360. and he's all Link's all about it, right?

  361. I was I was nice about I was like, you

  362. know, whatever. Then you look at the

  363. price tag and you're like, uh, you can

  364. need a job, little boy. Yeah.

  365. But I couldn't help but think about what

  366. Zillian and I just went through and the

  367. gear that we got. Then I was thinking

  368. about, man, what are these shoes? What

  369. are they even good for?

  370. You know,

  371. >> I don't even like flip-flops, let alone

  372. a slide.

  373. >> Am I getting old, Pastor Dan?

  374. >> I mean, maybe to the pool.

  375. >> Maybe around the house. I think I'm too

  376. old to wear them to the mall. I think

  377. I'd look like a goofball walking around

  378. the mall in those things, as most of you

  379. would. I'm not the only one.

  380. >> But I was thinking about the Nike hiking

  381. shoes

  382. versus the Nike slides. Same swoosh,

  383. right? Two different designs, two

  384. different purposes. Let's see that Nike

  385. hiking shoe. Yeah, you can go places

  386. with that.

  387. >> It's not my color, but man, you can you

  388. can get somewhere with that thing,

  389. right?

  390. You're designed

  391. on purpose with a purpose. Could you

  392. wear those Nike slides up the mountain?

  393. >> You can try.

  394. Yeah, you're going to slip around and

  395. stub your toe and I'd tip right over. I

  396. wouldn't even make it through the woods,

  397. let alone up a mountain.

  398. Get done with that thing, your feet are

  399. going to be screaming, "These shoes are

  400. not made for this." Right? These shoes

  401. are not made for this. Can I tell you

  402. that when you live a life of sin, your

  403. spirit is crying that your soul's not

  404. made for this?

  405. >> Amen. Amen.

  406. >> You were designed on purpose for a

  407. purpose.

  408. >> With purpose,

  409. >> same swoosh. Two designs, two different

  410. purposes. One was designed for comfort.

  411. One was designed for the climb.

  412. Spiritually,

  413. you're designed for the climb.

  414. You're designed for kingdom terrain.

  415. And when you sin or when you live a life

  416. that you're just pleasing self, that's

  417. why there's this overarching feeling on

  418. the inside of you that this doesn't fit.

  419. In my sin life, I used to have this ick

  420. on the inside of me crying out, "There's

  421. got to be more to life than this." It

  422. was one of the things that put me in in

  423. that that unsaved mindset of seeking

  424. after God. If you're real, show me.

  425. because there has to be more to life

  426. than this. That same ache was a was a

  427. thing that the devil used to put me in a

  428. suicidal thought of going, "Why am I

  429. even alive? There's got to be more to

  430. life than this. And if this is all it

  431. is, I'm out."

  432. What are you designed for?

  433. Look at your neighbor and say, "You were

  434. made for more."

  435. >> You weren't designed for sin.

  436. Sin doesn't fit your spec sheet. Amen.

  437. >> Scripture says you are his workmanship,

  438. created in Christ Jesus

  439. for good works. That literally means

  440. you're designed for righteousness.

  441. >> Hallelujah.

  442. >> You were designed for good works.

  443. That's why when you show up, when you

  444. deny your own flesh and and man, you let

  445. start letting God move in your life,

  446. that's why it feels right. Amen. And

  447. man, this isn't a walk of feelings. This

  448. is a walk of faith. But when you step on

  449. faith and you move with God,

  450. >> you go, "Man, there was something right

  451. about that.

  452. >> Something good about that." And man, I

  453. get hungry. I go, "Man, I want I'd liked

  454. a little bit more of that."

  455. >> That's the good stuff. Taste and see

  456. that the Lord is good.

  457. You're designed for the climb. You're

  458. designed to walk with God.

  459. You're designed to carry his presence.

  460. You're designed to live

  461. with purpose. Look at your neighbor and

  462. say, "No wonder sin doesn't fit you."

  463. No wonder sin doesn't fit you. Have you

  464. guys ever noticed that rebellion

  465. never actually really feels like

  466. freedom?

  467. >> Oh, y'all too holy on me. You never

  468. rebelled.

  469. I know you were 13. Bob Miller, I know

  470. you were 13 once.

  471. Yeah.

  472. Rebellion never feels really like

  473. freedom. Compromise always leaves you

  474. feeling empty.

  475. Looked like fun till you got there. Then

  476. the consequence of sin comes.

  477. Something on the inside of you saying,

  478. "I'm not being used for what I was made

  479. for."

  480. >> I think that's the design of God. It's

  481. what brought some of us to salvation

  482. is that we're uncomfortable in sin.

  483. So, I want to talk about what that

  484. design looks like. I'm going to quickly

  485. give you

  486. three things

  487. of what you're designed for.

  488. Number one is you're designed for power.

  489. You're designed for power.

  490. You're designed for power. Whoever

  491. believes in me will do the works that I

  492. do. Man, that's powerful stuff.

  493. heal the sick, cast out demons,

  494. raise the dead.

  495. I love that God takes average everyday

  496. people,

  497. looks them in the eyes, and says,

  498. "You're going to do exactly what I do."

  499. Man, one of my favorite scriptures is

  500. God chose the foolish things of the

  501. world to confound the wise.

  502. >> To confound the first thing I ever felt

  503. qualified for, foolish. Got it.

  504. Amen.

  505. God chose the foolish things of this

  506. world to confound the wise. Think about

  507. confounding.

  508. Confounding isn't, oh, I go I joined a

  509. small group.

  510. I'm going to go serve here and do this.

  511. That's not confounding to the wise.

  512. Miracles, power, Holy Spirit movement,

  513. anointing that breaks the yoke of

  514. bondage. Those things confound the wise.

  515. Especially when your life when they look

  516. at you and they go this this foolish

  517. this little thing and he and all of a

  518. sudden he prayed and that power

  519. happened.

  520. >> You're designed for power.

  521. >> You're designed to let the spirit of God

  522. flow through you in such a way that is

  523. confounding to the unsaved.

  524. >> You're not designed to be stale. You're

  525. not designed to be lukewarm.

  526. You're not designed just to warm a seat

  527. every Sunday. You're designed for power.

  528. >> Greater works

  529. than these will you do. It means the

  530. same power is available to you will flow

  531. through you. And he says because I'm

  532. going to the father.

  533. What happened when Jesus went to the

  534. father?

  535. He's able to pour out the spirit of the

  536. living God upon all flesh. started with

  537. the 120 in the upper room.

  538. Same spirit that rose Christ from the

  539. dead now dwells in you. Same spirit that

  540. hovered over the waters of the deep in

  541. Genesis now dwells in you.

  542. Same spirit that fell in that upper room

  543. dwells in you.

  544. You're not designed to live powerless.

  545. I want power, not mine. I want God to

  546. use me in a in an amazing way over and

  547. over consistently. I want him to look at

  548. my life and say, "Oh, yeah, he gets it.

  549. I'm going to use him. Ask him to pray.

  550. Ask him to preach. Ask him to go. Ask

  551. him to because I know he'll he'll let

  552. the spirit out. He's not going to do it

  553. in his own strength.

  554. I want power.

  555. You're not designed to barely hang on

  556. till heaven.

  557. Well, I'm a good guy. Do the best I can.

  558. I'm I think I've done good enough. Good

  559. Lord's going to let me into heaven

  560. someday.

  561. God bless you, sir. But you're designed

  562. for more.

  563. >> Yes. Amen.

  564. >> You're designed for Bible calls us more

  565. than conquerors.

  566. >> Not designed to hang on till heaven.

  567. You're designed to bring heaven into

  568. your right now.

  569. You're designed in such a way that when

  570. you walk in the room, life walks in with

  571. you.

  572. >> Peace walks in with you. Spiritual

  573. authority walks in with you.

  574. >> We're not just a Christian that goes to

  575. church. We are the church. We are the

  576. carriers of the power of the living God.

  577. I've warned

  578. people

  579. that I get bored really easy with stale

  580. church.

  581. I do. I got I got to see God doing

  582. something. I I get bored easy with

  583. anything, right?

  584. That's why I'm uh this why I'm fasting

  585. Tik Tok right now because I because I

  586. get bored easy and nothing speaks to me.

  587. Bored. Bored. Bored. Bored. Cool. Bored.

  588. Bored. Right. Anyone

  589. else get bored easy?

  590. >> Yeah,

  591. I get bored with stale lukewarm.

  592. I'm ready to go.

  593. And this is what God spoke to me very

  594. recently in the spirit. I know it was

  595. heaven. He says, "You go and whoever

  596. wants to go with me will walk with you."

  597. Amen.

  598. >> So, I'm going going with God. You got

  599. power dwelling on the inside of you.

  600. It's sitting in your spirit and it's

  601. waiting for your mouth to say yes. Amen.

  602. >> It's waiting for your hands to say yes.

  603. It's waiting for your feet to get up and

  604. go where the spirit of God dwells on the

  605. inside of you and your tongue has the

  606. power of life and death.

  607. You got power.

  608. Man, I was thinking about jumper cables.

  609. Told you I get bored easy.

  610. >> I've retired my traditional jumper

  611. cables. Man, those things are so 2010.

  612. >> We got jump boxes now, right?

  613. >> Yeah,

  614. >> these things are cool. And and I've had

  615. I had an old jump box finally died on

  616. me. But man, I got this little one now

  617. and it's like 165 jump starts I can do

  618. on this. And I just plug it into my

  619. USBC. It charges up. Keep it under the

  620. back seat of my truck. We're good to go.

  621. Man, that thing's got power. It's

  622. serious. I was thinking about, man, I

  623. got a battery. I got a I got a Holy

  624. Ghost fire living on I want to touch

  625. somebody. Get over here. Let me let me

  626. charge you up, man. You're looking a

  627. little dead. Hey. Hallelujah.

  628. >> Man, I got to let it out. I get I've

  629. been in the secret place, man. I've been

  630. I've been with God. Amen. I got to I got

  631. to tell somebody about Jesus.

  632. I got a full battery

  633. ready to let it out.

  634. It's why the power of God,

  635. let me say this. You have the power of

  636. God in you. That's why the enemy works

  637. so hard to isolate you.

  638. It's why he works double time to

  639. convince you that you're powerless.

  640. Convince you that you're disqualified.

  641. Convince you that you're not worthy.

  642. Say, "Devil, shut up. Amen.

  643. >> I'm designed on purpose with a purpose.

  644. And that purpose is God's power flowing

  645. through me

  646. >> and I'm going to go

  647. >> start laying hands on people.

  648. Man, it devil tries to keep you silent

  649. because if you ever realize what you

  650. carry,

  651. if you ever actually realize what you're

  652. designed for, man, revival is going to

  653. follow you everywhere. You won't Man, my

  654. wife gets agitated. Well, you can't even

  655. get out of Walmart praying for somebody.

  656. Yeah.

  657. Talking with folks. Pastor Jack, you

  658. ever do it? Trying to get the waitress

  659. saved. Hallelujah.

  660. Where do you go to church, man? Let me

  661. talk to you. Hey, I got something on the

  662. inside of me.

  663. If you ever realize what you're designed

  664. for,

  665. life is going to happen. Start seeing

  666. people get healed. Man, you're going to

  667. start having a revival right in your

  668. living room. You're going to start

  669. speaking life over your children.

  670. Lives are going to change because of

  671. you.

  672. You hold the key.

  673. It's up to you to fulfill the purpose,

  674. to fulfill the design

  675. or not.

  676. Not only are you not an accident, but

  677. where God has you isn't an accident.

  678. That job that God has you in, the house

  679. that you live in, the neighbor next to

  680. you,

  681. >> that 93y old in a Buick right in front

  682. of you in the left lane.

  683. >> I'm like you, Jack. I speak I I'm a

  684. verbal processor a lot of times. I say

  685. the gas pedal's on the right, ma'am.

  686. Yeah. So, just a little bit.

  687. >> Then I have to repent. Be nice.

  688. Forbila's doing the best she can.

  689. Hallelujah.

  690. Where God has you is not an accident.

  691. And and not only do you are you designed

  692. on purpose, but where God has you is on

  693. purpose. And it's not to you for you to

  694. get frustrated or agitated or to pull

  695. back. It's for you to express the power

  696. of God,

  697. >> to bless and not curse. Amen.

  698. >> Do you know that you're the most

  699. powerful person in every room that you

  700. walk into?

  701. Because the spirit of the living God

  702. dwells in you. You're designed for

  703. power. And that power flows from a

  704. person. Number two, in your notes,

  705. you're designed for presence.

  706. You're designed for presence.

  707. Jesus said, "I'm going to the father."

  708. When he goes to the father, he sends the

  709. spirit.

  710. Holy Spirit poured out upon all flesh,

  711. sons and daughters, young and old. Not a

  712. special class of people, not priests,

  713. not prophets, just ordinary men and

  714. women.

  715. >> The spirit of God was poured out upon

  716. them. And Jesus said, "Everyone who

  717. believes in me, man, you're going to do

  718. miracles. You're going to have power.

  719. You're going to have presence. You're

  720. designed to host the presence of the

  721. living God,

  722. not just visit him on Sundays.

  723. He says the spirit will be with you

  724. and in you. That means when you wake up

  725. Monday morning, man, there's a revival

  726. to be had.

  727. Amen.

  728. I suspect there's some in this room that

  729. have never really felt

  730. the tangible presence of God.

  731. I suspect that maybe you felt it today.

  732. I did. I do right now.

  733. It's evidential the presence of God.

  734. Can I say this? The God that we serve is

  735. not playing hideand go seek

  736. with believers.

  737. Hunger and thirst after his I mean I

  738. think they just chase after him.

  739. Chase after him and say, "God, I want to

  740. feel you. I want to see you." And God

  741. says, "All right, come right. I'll do

  742. it." Because it's his desire that he

  743. would be made known unto you.

  744. And when you get it, don't leave it.

  745. Steward the presence of God in your

  746. life. Host him.

  747. God's closer than you think.

  748. That presence that you've been searching

  749. for in other people and your phone and

  750. other relationships, it's a God-shaped

  751. hunger that only he can fulfill. And I

  752. believe this. You're one prayer away.

  753. >> Amen.

  754. You're one prayer away, man. Uh you're

  755. not a thermometer.

  756. You're a thermostat.

  757. >> Let me say this. You weren't designed

  758. just to read the atmosphere. You were

  759. designed to create atmosphere.

  760. Amen.

  761. >> We're so victim mentality and so

  762. reactive to the things that are

  763. happening out here when God designed you

  764. for the spirit of God to be led out of

  765. you.

  766. I don't want to hang around her. She

  767. gossips.

  768. They just give me the ick. Let's not go

  769. over there.

  770. And and instead of being evangelistic,

  771. instead of having the power of God flow

  772. through us, we keep isolating and

  773. pulling back to where we have no

  774. relationship and no influence because

  775. we're reacting to everyone else's flesh.

  776. We're being a thermometer instead of

  777. being a thermostat and walking into the

  778. room and setting the temperature of God.

  779. >> Amen.

  780. >> Stick around me. I'll set your

  781. temperature for you.

  782. Want to gossip? Hey, I don't want to

  783. hear that. We got We got too nice in

  784. America.

  785. Oh, we'll just We're too passive. We'll

  786. just pull back. I don't want to say I

  787. don't want to offend anyone. So, we just

  788. won't be around them again. Hey, say

  789. something. You're called to be the salt

  790. of the earth and the light of the world

  791. to shine light in the darkness. Amen.

  792. >> Hostess presence.

  793. That wasn't in my notes. That was free.

  794. When we worship, when we open our mouth

  795. in prayer, we walk in obedience. We set

  796. the temperature.

  797. We create the atmosphere. Life comes

  798. with us.

  799. Sometimes I hear people talk about man I

  800. have uh unhealthy home life. I have

  801. feels heavy. I don't like my job. Walk

  802. in it's oppression, confusion, chaos.

  803. Well, change the temperature.

  804. Change the temperature. You're designed

  805. to host a different atmosphere.

  806. Number three is designed for passion.

  807. You're designed for passion. Colossians

    Colossians 3:23

  808. chapter 3 verse 23 says, "Whatever you

  809. do, say whatever."

  810. >> Whatever.

  811. >> Whatever you do, work heartily

  812. as for the Lord and not for man.

  813. Hardily. We don't use that word much

  814. anymore.

  815. Maybe we should bring it back.

  816. I ate heartily last night for dinner.

  817. Yeah.

  818. Work with passion. Says whatever you do,

  819. man, go do it.

  820. You're going to pray, pray.

  821. You're going to read the Bible. I just

  822. read a I read a chapter and I get

  823. sleepy.

  824. I'm not trying to offend, but I'm saying

  825. get saved.

  826. >> Amen.

  827. >> If you're going to read the Bible, read

  828. it. Pick a book and say, "Man, I'm no

  829. I'm no dummy. I can figure this thing

  830. out."

  831. >> You have every resource available, MORE

  832. THAN ANY OTHER HUMAN IN ANY other

  833. generation has had to figure out what

  834. THE BOOK SAYS. SIT DOWN AND STUDY.

  835. Bible says to study to show yourself

  836. approved, a workman that needeth not to

  837. be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of

  838. truth.

  839. >> How many Sundays are you going to get

  840. spoonfed before you learn to feed

  841. yourself?

  842. >> Man, I almost started preaching.

  843. >> You're designed for more.

  844. >> Whatever you do, man, go after it. Work

  845. with passion. Work heartily as unto the

  846. Lord. God, I'm not doing it so I can

  847. impress somebody at church. I'm doing it

  848. so I can get to know you.

  849. >> There you go.

  850. You going to pray?

  851. I did my five minutes.

  852. Oh, my phone went off again. Oh, so this

  853. Oh, pray.

  854. If you're going to pray, pray.

  855. Dwelling in the secret place of the most

  856. high. That's my calling. I'm going to

  857. dwell in the secret place of the most

  858. high. I am going to pray without

  859. ceasing.

  860. I am going to walk with spiritual

  861. authority and power and the presence of

  862. God is going to walk with me. NOT

  863. BECAUSE NOT BECAUSE I conjured it up,

  864. because I've been in the secret place

  865. with God.

  866. You'll never get wholehearted results

  867. with half-hearted efforts.

  868. Romans 12

  869. 10 says this, "Love one another with

  870. brotherly affection.

  871. Outdo one another in showing honor."

  872. Listen to this. Do not be slothful in

  873. zeal.

  874. Another word I want to bring back.

  875. Dagum sloth.

  876. Do not be slothful in zeal. Catch this.

  877. Be fervent in spirit. Serve the Lord. Be

  878. fervent in spirit. Serve the Lord.

  879. Don't be slothful. Be fervent in spirit

  880. and serve the Lord.

  881. Rejoice in hope. Be patient in

  882. tribulation. Be constant in prayer. Man,

  883. when book of Acts, Holy Spirit came out.

  884. Do you guys know that it was tongues of

  885. fire,

  886. a rushing mighty wind that came in?

  887. It wasn't. God could have done anything.

  888. He could have gave him blankets and warm

  889. milk to curl up in the corner with.

  890. He was representing himself, but man,

  891. tongues of fire. Do you know that they

  892. disrupted? Jack liked that one.

  893. You all right, Jack?

  894. >> Yeah.

  895. Sit around sucking our thumbs, man.

  896. >> Fire fell, wind blew, they got loud.

  897. Holy Spirit spilled through them out

  898. into the streets. Peter stood up and

  899. preached. Thousands got saved.

  900. >> Hallelujah.

  901. >> Daily. Thousands got saved. Daily.

  902. Thousands got saved. There was a fire

  903. that fell on the inside of them and they

  904. were passionate about Jesus and about

  905. the works of God. For the first time in

  906. their lives, they probably felt like

  907. they were fulfilling what they were

  908. designed to do.

  909. Not designed to be spiritually bored and

  910. lukewarm.

  911. That pastor almost done.

  912. You know what time the game comes on,

  913. pastor?

  914. I don't know.

  915. I'm just hungry for more.

  916. I'm just ready to go.

  917. >> Yeah.

  918. Stinking bored with status quo.

  919. Time to get up, get out, and go with

  920. God. Close

  921. with this. You're designed to burn.

  922. Jeremiah 20:9, he says, "There is

    Jeremiah 20:9

  923. in my heart a burning fire shut up in my

  924. bones, and I am weary of holding it in.

  925. I cannot."

  926. That's God. That's your design. I got a

  927. fire shut up in my bones. in the deepest

  928. place of my being and it is it is

  929. starting man it's kindled and it's break

  930. it's starting to rage

  931. God's burning on the inside I can't hold

  932. this stuff in anymore I got I got Holy

  933. Ghost jump I got to go touch somebody I

  934. got to go tell I got I'm man I'm I'm

  935. feeling some kind of way I got to let it

  936. out that's your design you're designed

  937. to burn with the passion of heaven

  938. >> you're designed to burn wi with a

  939. passion for lost souls you're designed

  940. to burn with a faith that moves

  941. mountains

  942. You know, we were at that conference in

  943. Nashville. Pastor Corey Russell was one

  944. of the keynote speakers. He said

  945. something

  946. that's stuck with me. I've been kind of

  947. hanging out on it for a while. He said,

  948. "Intimacy creates pregnancy."

  949. Pregnancy.

  950. This is what I've added to it. I've been

  951. thinking for praying into that.

  952. Pregnancy is life. It brings life.

  953. Intimacy

  954. creates pregnancy.

  955. That means we get in that secret place

  956. with God.

  957. Dwelling in the secret place of the most

  958. high.

  959. It brings life.

  960. When I know when I get bored is when I

  961. see a whole lot of plastic babies in the

  962. American church world.

  963. A lot of plastic worship. A lot of

  964. plastic smiles,

  965. plastic programs

  966. because we refuse to go to the secret

  967. place. We refuse to tap into the spirit

  968. of the living God. And so we know what

  969. it's supposed to look like. And so we're

  970. going to fake it till we make it. And so

  971. we're going to we're going to come up

  972. with our own version. Look, it's a

  973. little baby. It's plastic.

  974. I want you to picture an adult woman

  975. carrying a plastic baby and treating it

  976. like it's a real living child. You'd go,

  977. "Uh,

  978. uh, we got screw loose.

  979. That's bizarre.

  980. >> We need to we need to pray for that

  981. woman, right?

  982. We do it in the spirit.

  983. We do it in the church world.

  984. We have meeting after meeting. God never

  985. shows up. God never does a thing. But

  986. we've learned how to do church really

  987. well. It's plastic Christianity.

  988. Not here.

  989. Not in this house.

  990. I need authentic.

  991. I need the real thing. I need life.

  992. Let's stand to our feet all over this

  993. house. I'll ask the worship team to join

  994. me.

  995. spirit of God will cause a holy

  996. dissatisfaction with going through the

  997. motions.

  998. And I'll say this, life cannot be

  999. manufactured in your flesh or in your

  1000. own strength.

1001. Life is manufactured when you surrender

1002. yourself to the lordship of Jesus. When

1003. you surrender yourself to the presence

1004. of God. When you surrender yourself to

1005. the secret place of the most high, life

1006. begins to happen, intimacy brings

  1007. pregnancy.

  1008. John 7:38,

    John 7:38

1009. Jesus said, "Whoever believes in me, as

  1010. the scripture has said,

1011. out of his heart will flow rivers of

  1012. living water.

  1013. Praise you, Jesus.

1014. I believe in you, Lord.

1015. I'm believing God in such a way that the

1016. river of life can flow through me.

1017. In just a moment, we're going to

  1018. transition.

1019. We're going to sing some worship.

1020. Our prayer team is going to be up here.

1021. There are several in this house that I

1022. don't want you to miss this moment.

  1023. You're designed for power.

  1024. You're designed for presence.

1025. And you're designed for passion.

1026. Can I say this? You're overbuilt for the

1027. life that you're settling for.

1028. You're overbuilt by God for the life

1029. that you're settling for. And if you're

1030. in here and you're hearing this and

1031. going, "Man, uh, I'm seeing a passion.

1032. I'm hearing about this stuff, the power,

  1033. and and I don't think I'm I don't think

1034. I'm functioning that way and I'm hungry

1035. for more. I I want you to come to this

  1036. altar.

  1037. I don't mean in a few minutes. I mean

1038. right now in this moment, I want you to

1039. step out from where you are and I want

1040. you to come up to this altar and say,

1041. "God, I'm hungry for more. I'm hungry to

1042. be used by you. I'm hungry to fulfill

1043. the design that you have in my life.

1044. If you're in here and you feel

1045. powerless, I want you to come.

  1046. >> If you're in here and you're hungry

1047. for the presence of God, maybe you've

1048. had it before and it's been a while.

1049. Maybe you've never had it and you're

1050. going, "Man, I I want to I want to sense

1051. what you're talking about, pastor."

1052. Same thing. I want you to come to this

  1053. altar.

  1054. H

1055. maybe home feels heavy or your mind

1056. feels noisy and you're looking for God

1057. to quiet that down a little bit.

1058. Ready for the peace and the power, the

  1059. presence of God.

1060. If you're in this room also

1061. and you know that your passion

1062. for Christ has grown cold,

1063. that you're not on fire like you should

  1064. be,

1065. >> I want to invite you to this altar.

1066. If you're in here and you've never given

1067. your life to Jesus Christ,

1068. >> I think today would be a good day to do

  1069. it.

  1070. Praise you, Jesus.

1071. Thank you, Lord. Could we pray together?

1072. Father, I thank you for freedom.

1073. Thank you for spiritual authority. I

1074. thank you for an anointing in this

1075. house. I thank you God for taking us

  1076. from there to here.

  1077. >> Praise you Jesus.

  1078. >> Thank you Lord. There's a shifting in

  1079. the atmosphere.

1080. >> Praise you Jesus. We worship you today.

1081. When every eye closed, if you're in this

  1082. house,

1083. >> you're hearing God minister to you,

1084. speak to you today, and you're going,

1085. "Pastor, I need to give my life to Jesus

1086. Christ." I want you to lift your hand.

1087. Not going to embarrass you.

1088. I'm gonna call you out. I see your

  1089. hands,

1090. >> but I'm ready to go all in.

1091. >> Thank you. You can put your hands down.

1092. We're all just going to get saved again

  1093. together today.

1094. >> Praise you, Jesus. If you lifted your

  1095. hand,

  1096. >> and you believe,

1097. >> you pray this prayer with your heart,

  1098. >> God says you'll be saved.

1099. So, I'm going to ask everyone in this

1100. room to follow me in this prayer. Say,

  1101. "Father in heaven,

  1102. >> Father in heaven,

  1103. >> I'm a sinner.

  1104. >> I've messed up.

  1105. >> I fall short.

  1106. >> And I'm asking

  1107. >> I'm asking

  1108. >> for forgiveness.

  1109. >> forgiveness.

  1110. >> Wash me.

  1111. >> Cleanse me.

  1112. >> Purify me.

1113. >> By the blood of Jesus,

1114. >> by the blood of Jesus,

  1115. >> I confess with my mouth.

1116. >> I confess with my mouth. From here on

  1117. out,

1118. >> from here on out,

  1119. >> Jesus Christ

1120. >> is Lord of my life.

1121. >> Lord of my life.

  1122. >> And I believe

  1123. >> I believe

  1124. >> in my heart

  1125. >> that you raised

  1126. >> you

1127. >> Jesus from the dead.

1128. >> And according to your living word

1129. >> according to your living word

  1130. >> I'm saved.

  1131. >> I'm delivered.

  1132. >> I'm healed.

  1133. >> I'm set free.

  1134. >> In Jesus name.

1135. >> Amen. Can we celebrate the work of the

  1136. Lord?

  1137. Hallelujah.

1138. >> Our prayer team is going to be

1139. available. They might be drifting. They

1140. might put a hand on your back. They

1141. might pray for you. But for those that

1142. have come to the altar and this at any

1143. moment, you can step out and come

  1144. forward.

1145. But we're not going to hold your hand in

1146. prayer today. whatever purpose, whatever

1147. reason you came to this altar for in

1148. your own way. I'm going to ask you to

1149. chase after God for that need in your

  1150. life.

1151. >> And we'll agree with you in prayer. And

1152. everyone back there is going to be

1153. agreeing with you in prayer. And we're

1154. going to worship the Lord

  1155. >> together.

  1156. >> Amen.

  1157. >> Praise the Lord.
