It didn't got good.
-
You know, before we get into the word, I just it's kind of.
-
You know, I found myself thinking about Rush Limbaugh when I heard him announce the other day that he had stage 4 lung cancer, and then I've heard all the comments he's made and others have made Since then.
-
I thought, man, he needs this message.
-
You know it's one thing to just beg God, oh God, he and people all over the country I know they're praying and they're saying, oh God, heal.
-
Well, you know that's not a basis for.
-
You know God is not a need meter like that.
-
God is a God that bases everything on faith.
-
You've got to have a revelation of your healing covenant.
-
I do believe he knows the Lord.
-
I know he's got a.
-
He's not known as a churchgoer, he's not known as a fiery Christian, but I've listened to him for 30 years and he's helped me a lot and I love him.
-
I think he's a very important voice in this nation and, just like Trump is falsely accused all the time being racist, there's not a racist bone in Rush's body and he does a lot of good.
-
I mean, his chief of staff for all these years are black men.
-
So okay, why don't you shut up if you don't know what you're talking about.
-
You know he's an entertainer, yes, but I believe he's really got a prophetic voice, and so it did disappoint me to hear him, and so, from my standpoint, my prayer is I'm pleading his case, and I think that the right prayer for the church to pray for him is intercession.
-
What is intercession?
-
Well, intercession gets between the enemy and a person that doesn't know their rights.
-
Or even if they do know their rights, when you get under attack with cancer, you know you get weak.
-
I mean, you go through treatments and everything.
-
You need people that'll stand in the gap.
-
Remember, standing in the gap.
-
That's the kind of, and that's done in the spirit.
-
So pray much in the Holy Ghost and then, if you want to pray in your understanding, break the power of darkness that's blinded his mind to his covenant, because what I'm teaching these next four Wednesday nights would be the basis for him to receive his healing.
-
He doesn't need medical science.
-
Thank God for what medical science can do, but you know, there comes a point in any disease, like cancer, when there's not much they can do, but God is.
-
It's never too late for God's healing power.
-
Never, I said never.
-
It's never too late for the believer to trust God for their healing, but it has to be based on faith.
-
It has to be based on that, and so let's just lift a hand, father, we pray for Rush Limbaugh.
-
We just intercede for him.
-
We break the power of darkness.
-
It's blinded his mind to that part of his covenant.
-
Lord, he's not been told about his healing covenant, his rights and privileges thereof.
-
And, lord, we just pray that somehow the message will get to him.
-
Lord, he's connected with so many people.
-
Lord, get the right messenger before him and let him begin to realize that Jesus is not just the Savior, he's the healer, he's the deliverer.
-
And, father, we thank you, father, right now that you'll begin to broadcast seed into his spirit that will grow into healing.
-
Lord, the nation needs him.
-
It's a critical time and we need voices that tell the truth and he's been a truth teller for all these years.
-
And no matter what it's cost, lord, he stood up for life in front of all these, the circle of rich people that are around him.
-
He stood up for pro-life principles, pro-family principles.
-
He stood up for the right thing.
-
He stood up for our president and, lord, he stood up, you know Lord when others would try to hide, and he's not compromised.
-
And, lord, we need him in this time.
-
We need voices like his and we need his voice in the name of Jesus, praise God, amen.
-
Well, let's thank the Lord right now that we're heard.
-
Amen, amen, amen, praise God.
-
Well, I want to begin our time together.
-
I may have different verses that I made your own, but tonight, in our first session here on Healing Wednesdays, I wanted to look at Matthew, chapter eight, and also first Peter, chapter two.
-
Matthew eight, first, peter two.
-
You know I hear people misquote Jesus all the time.
-
They say you know the truth will set you free, and you know they.
-
That's not true.
-
You shall know the truth.
-
Jesus said you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.
-
So only the truth that you know and apply and appropriate by faith can set you free.
-
And knowing the truth by itself is of no consequence.
-
You can know the truth and ignore it.
-
You can ignore the truth and not apply it, but it's the truth that you know and apply and these messages are a body of truth and I want to just say this to start with that I want to major on.
-
Healing is a huge subject and we tend to throw healing in a sack, all kind of healing in a sack and throw it out on the table, and different kinds of healing, different ways of healing, have different rules of engagement, and so the main thing that I want to accomplish in these messages is for the church, for the believers.
-
You know you've got you've got certain things that are best practices.
-
You've heard me talk about best practices and I'm going to try to get you into the best practices to not only get a healing, if you need healing, but to maintain health, because really ours is a health covenant.
-
You know how much better is it to walk in health than have to overcome some big major catastrophic.
-
You know disease that that is invading your time and your money and everything else.
-
I mean you know, look, poverty and sickness are the evil sigmes, twins of the devil.
-
I mean that's, they're the offspring of Satan.
-
Usually, when you find a sickness, you'll find poverty that goes with it, because a lot of times people are ill and they don't even know it until it's too late.
-
I was surprised that Rush had.
-
I mean, he's a rich guy.
-
I mean he flies around in a big old golf stream.
-
He's not a poor man, he's a busy man and I guess he just didn't go, didn't have a checkup, I guess I don't.
-
I don't really know what happened.
-
I know the devil's behind it.
-
Amen, we'll talk about all that, but let's, let's, let's, let's.
-
We're aiming at this aspect of healing.
-
I'm interested in you walking in health and I know, without and I have not looked at these, these are your private red envelopes up here where you have described what it would take for this year to be your greatest year yet.
-
And I know, by the spirit that some of you are believing, for some issues, some symptoms in your body, some health issues that you've been believing, for that you have not yet been able to move out.
-
I know that I'm glad it's the night both, glad it's not here tonight.
-
See, she's, she's got some challenges and we're, you know we'll make a few steps forward and then something will set back.
-
You know we'll just keep, keep going.
-
And so I know that that we're no, we're, that we're no different than you in that respect.
-
And what is the answer?
-
Well, the answer is to get our faith stronger and and exercised.
-
Amen, and let's, let's drive these things out.
-
And so tonight, in session one I wanted to preach on this subject healing our covenant Right.
-
We have a right for healing it's.
-
It's a right of ours.
-
And so in Matthew, chapter eight, verse 16, talking about Jesus, when the evening was come, they brought unto him Jesus, many that were possessed with demons, and he cast out the spirits with his word and healed 49% of all that were sick.
-
He healed all that were sick that it might be fulfilled, which was spoken by Isaiah, the prophet, saying himself took our infirmities and carried or bear our sicknesses.
-
So they're quoting Isaiah 53, four there, so that when Jesus cast out these demonic spirits and he healed all that were sick, he did it in order to fulfill the prophecy made by the prophet Isaiah hundreds of years before.
-
And and then in first Peter, chapter two, and of course that is Peter's Apostle to the church, so that you know the this these verses are applied to the church is written to the church In first Peter, chapter two, verse 24,.
-
Who, his own self, talking about Jesus, bear our sins in his own body, on the tree that we, being dead to sin, should live under righteousness, by whose stripes you were healed.
-
Now that last part there, by whose stripes you were healed, is quoting Isaiah 53, five.
-
And so Peter, under revelation of the Holy Spirit, lets us know that healing belongs to us as Christians just as much as forgiveness.
-
I mean, jesus paid the same price for our freedom from sickness and disease as he did for freedom from sin.
-
He bore our sins and he bore our sicknesses.
-
Are you with me now?
-
Amen, and so praise God.
-
Thank God, we have a covenant with God and that covenant includes healing.
-
You know, the more we teach and talk, healing, healing and health occur.
-
In Luke 5.15,.
-
They came to hear and to be healed of their infirmities.
-
They came from all over.
-
Multitudes came to hear and to be healed.
-
All they had to do was get under the influence of the gospel.
-
Jesus said in Luke chapter four.
-
He said the spirit of the Lord is upon me because he's anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor.
-
He has sent me to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind.
-
To set it liberty to them that are bruised, to preach the accepted year of the Lord and Amplified says, the accepted and acceptable day of the Lord, the day when the free favors of God profusely abound.
-
Essentially, he said I'm the Jubilee.
-
You can quit looking for you, jews.
-
You quit looking for Jubilee.
-
I'm he.
-
I'm the one I'm setting you free.
-
All your debts are canceled.
-
Jubilee was a big deal.
-
It only happened every 50 years.
-
And Jesus said you don't ever have to worry about another Jubilee.
-
I'm him.
-
So when he said the gospel to the poor, what might the gospel?
-
The word gospel means good news.
-
What would be the good news to the poor?
-
See, I was raised in the Catholic church and the nuns and the priests taught me that somehow it was holy to be poor.
-
Well, they did say that.
-
Well, no, they didn't say it.
-
But I knew that they had all taken vows of poverty.
-
They're the spiritual leaders in my church and I knew that that was one of the vows they took.
-
And somehow they lived in a convent, really one of the biggest houses in town, and the parish Montsignor he was a Montsignor, he was a step above priest Montsignor drove a Cadillac.
-
They weren't a lot of Cadillacs in Refurio, texas, but they took a vow of poverty.
-
So you grow up, you think somehow poverty is holy and somehow God wants you poor something.
-
There's something glorious about being no.
-
Jesus was sent to preach the good news to the poor.
-
You don't have to be poor, no more.
-
Amen To heal the brokenhearted.
-
I'm telling you, I know that Rush and his wife probably are dealing with such a grief.
-
They're part of.
-
Them are brokenhearted about this.
-
You know they haven't heard this word yet.
-
I mean, they're depending entirely on medical science and, I'll be honest, they don't have a lot to offer.
-
No, and thank God for what they can do, but I'm telling Jesus can do what they can't do.
-
So you know, I've preached in places and been in places where people were very ill and very sick.
-
I've been in India before people that were just lame and blind and deaf.
-
One night when I was with brother Osteen, they had a little four year old girl that was full of the day.
-
She would talk about demon possession.
-
She was demon possessed and you know we didn't know what happened, but a big commotion happened up on the platform.
-
Brother Osteen is about ready to get up and preach and there's some preliminary singing and everything and all of a sudden this growling and snarling and somebody had come up and thrown this little girl up on the platform because they wanted us to pray for her.
-
She was full of demons, like a little wildcat.
-
Her eyes were yellow, she was foaming at the mouth, she was spitting, screaming, and I mean I looked at her, I didn't really much want to get very close.
-
You know, I thought about rabies, I didn't know, I didn't know what in the world I was in for, but you know, she got delivered.
-
I mean, listen, there are people who are benighted and demonized and sick, and that's the group that showed up at Jesus healed all of them.
-
Good news, see, we've got good news.
-
Well, that's for the world.
-
But you know, if that's true for the world, how much more is it for the church?
-
See, because Peter talked about that, the same covenant where we have new birth and where our sins are forgiven, that same covenant has healing in it, by whose stripes you were healed.
-
Notice, it's past tense.
-
Everybody say past tense.
-
And so then, also here in Matthew, chapter eight, he healed all that were sick.
-
That it might be fulfilled, which was spoken by the prophet.
-
So those words that it might be fulfilled is, in the future, perfect tense.
-
I'm not gonna teach you English, but the tense of those verbs that it might be fulfilled.
-
Fulfilled is a verb.
-
That it might be fulfilled is saying that it's continuous fulfillment.
-
Every time someone gets healed by trusting in Jesus.
-
That is a fulfillment all the way back to Isaiah 53, four.
-
It's continual.
-
Just think about every time you have victory over sickness and disease, every time you stomp the devil's head and drive sickness and disease out of your body.
-
That is a trophy for Jesus.
-
That you say in Jesus, I'm yet another fulfillment of the prophet Isaiah.
-
Glory to God.
-
So that word might is on our side.
-
It's not on Jesus side.
-
Jesus has already done it.
-
That's why, when you see most people, when they're they pray we're gonna pray for healing and they say oh God, please heal sister Mildred.
-
Oh, she's so sick.
-
Oh God, please.
-
Well, that's just a vain prayer.
-
He's already done everything he's gonna do about her healing.
-
He already came down here, he took it, he carried it.
-
You don't have to take it, you don't have to carry it.
-
Why would you pray a prayer like that?
-
Well, you pray a prayer like that because you're ignorant of the covenant, and God can never bless ignorance.
-
He can only bless knowledge, he can only bless revelation.
-
Knowledge, I mean when you finally know and the light shines, you're illuminated on the inside.
-
Faith is there right then.
-
You don't have to work for it.
-
You don't have to fast for it.
-
Uh-oh, I'm stepping on some toes now.
-
See, some people have the idea well, if I can just fast and pray?
-
I had an Indian pastor tell me oh, I'm fasting for your healing.
-
Well, don't bother.
-
Don't bother doing that, just get an agreement with me.
-
You don't need to fast for it.
-
Jesus already paid for it.
-
I mean, why would you want to fast For that?
-
There's a lot of other things you can fast for.
-
But don't be trying to earn my healing for me.
-
Are you with me now?
-
And so?
-
So the more we teach and preach healing, the more healing manifests, and we have to be strong in knowing and appropriating our rights and our privileges under the new covenant.
-
You know reading my Bible in the book of in the gospels.
-
There are 19 instances of healing in the four gospels and some of them are the same miracle.
-
They're repeated.
-
For instance, the woman with the issue of blood.
-
Anybody know about the lady with the issue of blood.
-
She went and touched the hymn of his garment.
-
That's mentioned in three out of the four gospels.
-
So that's, that's part of the 19 healing miracles, even though it's just one miracle, but 12 out of the 19 of those miracles mentioned faith, faith.
-
So then it must be kind of important, the area of faith.
-
There must be something connected between faith and healing, and that's the reason why we're teaching this, because if there's any lack of healing in the church, it's because there's a lack on our side of receiving by faith what we need, and speaking and see, believe it and speaking open the door to the supernatural.
-
Amen, I said believing and speaking open the door to the supernatural.
-
So we don't have to always depend on doctors.
-
Thank God for what doctors can do.
-
Listen, I've gone to the doctor, I thank God.
-
I was on a table and I had a heart cath and the doctor said oh, mr Griner, you've got a blockage and we can't stand around it.
-
You need triple and possibly quadruple bypass.
-
Well, I was kind of glad I was where I needed to be.
-
I did not have any temptation to go home.
-
I didn't even think about going home and I said well, it's gonna be.
-
Your blood is so thin, we're gonna have to wait.
-
We're gonna have to wait about four days.
-
And they were nervous.
-
They didn't want to wait four days for my blood to thicken up.
-
So they went ahead and only two days they started operating and that caused all kinds of complications.
-
You know what I mean.
-
The doctors, they did a lot of things wrong.
-
They punched a hole in my heart.
-
I mean punched a hole, wow.
-
Well, I was slippery, I had all that blood man, it was going everywhere and they were pumping blood in me.
-
I don't have any units I took, but it was because they were concerned that that blockage was gonna turn into a stroke and turn into a massive heart attack.
-
They were racing against time.
-
I trusted listen, I trust my life with Jesus and he's the master of everything and he's able to work through doctors.
-
Of course, thank God for those doctors, but they're not the ones that saved my life.
-
Jesus is the one that healed me.
-
Amen.
-
Instead of being two and a half hours in there, I was seven and a half hours in there, so it was pretty dicey, but thank God for this revelation of the Word of God that can keep you going.
-
You've got to appropriate your rights and privileges.
-
So if you are strong in faith concerning your covenant, you understand.
-
Say my job is to plant some seeds in your heart that you can grow into faith, or to water what you already know.
-
You know I've heard this before, pastor, it's good.
-
But you know, I thought really, yeah, you need it, you need to be watered.
-
I mean, if you have a garden, you got to water that garden.
-
You got to water those azaleas.
-
I know some of you got azaleas.
-
In just a couple of months they're going to start blooming.
-
You better water them, all right.
-
So 12 out of 19 talk about faith.
-
So if we're strong in faith, knowing and appropriating our rights, then we can avoid or minimize opportunities to be sick.
-
See, what the devil is looking for is just an opening, if he can.
-
You know, ephesians talks about fiery darts.
-
You know we have the shield of faith where we're able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one If the devil can get a little infirmity past your shield of faith and stick you.
-
He stabbed me with a little infirmity that turned into inflammation, it turned into a blockage and almost ended my life prematurely.
-
Poor Pastor.
-
Golly, we were planning on him living a lot longer than that.
-
Well, you know, the reason I'm still here is because I didn't accept that kind of thinking.
-
I never can.
-
I confess all the time that my heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord.
-
I pray over my speaker.
-
I don't pray, I speak over my body.
-
Every night I spend my time in the shower speaking to my body.
-
I figure, well, I'm going to soap it up now.
-
I'm going to wash it up with a word of God you can do whatever you want, that's what I do.
-
And so the enemy, if he can establish a foothold or a beachhead that's a military term If he can establish a beachhead, that's what the allies did at Normandy in World War II.
-
The Germans were just convinced that they were going to come across the English Channel at the Pada Calais and they had all their tanks over there.
-
They had most of their men over there and they didn't have a very many men there at Normandy, and we knew that.
-
We suckered them and we got a foothold into Europe at Normandy and it was all over.
-
The war was over within months.
-
Why?
-
Because we established a beachhead.
-
If we let the devil establish a beachhead into our bodies and we don't even know it, he can shorten your life, he can end your life prematurely.
-
Are you with me now?
-
So this revelation is something where you can use this to stay not only healed but healthy.
-
So Jesus here and we're talking about the covenant.
-
In Matthew 15, jesus told the woman, the Syrophoenician woman, who had the daughter grievously vexed with the demon, and she wanted Jesus to deliver her daughter.
-
And he said look, is it right to take the children's bread and give it to dogs?
-
So she was not a Jew, she did not have a covenant, and that seemed pretty harsh, and so he called her a dog, essentially.
-
And she said well, even the puppies eat the crumbs out of their master's table.
-
I mean, it's just, all I need is a little crumb.
-
You're not going to miss a little crumb off the side of your mouth, are you?
-
And he said, oh, what.
-
He delighted him, in spite of the fact that he wasn't sent to the Gentiles.
-
He said I'm not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
-
But when she said that, oh, you're not going to miss a crumb coming out of your mouth, are you?
-
He said, oh, woman, great is thy faith.
-
I'd tell you he responded to faith, no matter who it was coming from, his.
-
Go your way.
-
The devil has gone out of your daughter.
-
See, faith made a demand and got her daughter delivered, even though they didn't really have a legal covenant.
-
And so that happened in the Old Testament.
-
I thought that was a new test.
-
No, that's the gospels.
-
That's in the New Testament, all right, but it's Old Covenant because it's he hadn't died on the cross yet.
-
See, read your Bible with these things in mind.
-
Understand what Jesus is doing when he's ministering to people.
-
And so this is Old Covenant.
-
So what is it?
-
It's a type and shadow of what we have.
-
That woman was a Gentile.
-
She didn't have a covenant, right.
-
Guess what?
-
We're new creatures.
-
We've been born again.
-
We have the DNA of Jesus in us and we have every right to health and healing as much as Jesus does.
-
Do you think Jesus is sick?
-
Does he have bad days?
-
Does he have days?
-
Oh Father, I don't think I can go anywhere today, man, the arthritis has got to hold me.
-
No, we have every right to be as healthy as Jesus.
-
Well, yeah, but he's got a glorified body.
-
I know he does, but that's the beauty.
-
We can have heaven on earth.
-
We don't have to have illness, we don't have to have sickness, we don't have to have things just because we're a certain age.
-
I have talked to myself all the time.
-
Well, you know people, my age, we tend to.
-
No, don't talk like that, quit talking like that.
-
Why?
-
Because you're opening the door to something that can get in you that you don't want.
-
I'm talking about beachheads, I'm talking about doors now, and you can open the door with your mouth, wrong thinking, wrong confession, inadvertently, and cause yourself great harm.
-
So Jesus was sent and here in Matthew, chapter eight, where we read, where he healed them all and delivered them, cast out the spirits with his word, I mean he just told them get out and it wasn't any big deal.
-
He had a multitude there prayed for them.
-
It doesn't really say how he ministered to the multitude.
-
As far as sickness and disease.
-
It's unclear whether he laid hands on everybody.
-
I would say he probably didn't.
-
You know how long that would take.
-
You got a multitude and you're going to take and lay hands on each individual part Take a long time.
-
So you know he could speak.
-
Are you with me?
-
He would preach, get their faith built up, and then he would speak, speak over them.
-
Well, pastor, how can you prove that?
-
Well, you can't prove he didn't.
-
So, anyway, whatever, all right.
-
So Matthew eight he, in that one chapter he healed a Jewish leper.
-
Lord, you can make me clean If you will, you can make me clean.
-
He said I will.
-
He reached over and touched him.
-
That time he laid hands on the Jewish leper.
-
The Jewish leper was made whole right there.
-
If you will, you can make me clean.
-
See people a lot of times they know God can, but they don't know God will.
-
Well, god will.
-
God has, he's already done it.
-
It's not about a will.
-
He's already done it.
-
Well, I just don't know if God will heal me.
-
Yeah, he already did.
-
See what wrong thinking can do.
-
Wrong thinking can turn you in circles until you die.
-
Until you get so far along with whatever the devil attacked you with that there's really nothing left.
-
And so let's think right.
-
Let's know that we have a right to it.
-
It's already done as far as God is concerned.
-
So he healed a Jewish leper.
-
He healed a Jewish servant of a centurion.
-
The centurion wasn't a Jew Lord, I'm not coming for myself, but just I'm coming for my servant.
-
Oh well, I'll come and heal him.
-
He said oh no, no, I'm not worried that you come under my roof, but just speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.
-
Because I'm a man under authority.
-
And if I say to this one go, and he goes, and another one coming, he comes.
-
I understand, you got authority.
-
I watched you.
-
All you got to do is speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.
-
And he said I haven't found so great a faith.
-
No, not in Israel.
-
See, that's the second time that a Gentile had more faith than most of the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
-
You see, because Israel was backslidden in those days, they didn't accept Jesus.
-
There had been 400 years since they'd had a prophet, and John the Baptist came among them and told them to repent, and most of them didn't.
-
And so how did Jesus heal?
-
Unbelievable.
-
He went about their villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and then healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.
-
There wasn't any kind of disease that was beyond his reach.
-
Oh well, you know everything.
-
But AIDS.
-
No, he, if they had AIDS, he healed it, probably didn't have it back.
-
Then, see, there's new disease.
-
The devil is inventing new diseases all the time.
-
Every time we've got a new drug or is a new disease, and so it takes God, it takes supernatural power, and so, and then Peter's Jewish mother-in-law was sick of a fever, and he went over there and touched her and said and rebuked the fever, and it left.
-
And then it says when the evening was come, boy, he had a busy day that day, didn't he?
-
I mean, he was busy from daylight to dark.
-
He had all these healings in one chapter.
-
And it gives you a picture of what we've got.
-
Oh, I'm telling you, we are so privileged, we've got a new covenant.
-
We didn't do anything except say yes, that's all we did.
-
We just said yes, we couldn't earn it.
-
We just said yes, what a gospel we have for people, what good news we have for people.
-
So all these Jewish demonized and sick people were all under the old covenant.
-
And see what the shame was that.
-
You know, when Israel came out of Egypt, they bore the stamp of health and prosperity.
-
They came out rich remember Psalm 105, you know, they came out and there was, you know, with silver and gold and not one feeble among their tribe.
-
I mean, after 430 years of slavery, they came out rich and healthy.
-
I mean nobody, no record of anybody being sick.
-
Nobody was broken down, nobody had, you know, been over at the waist and nobody was.
-
They were all healthy.
-
And so, all those years later, what happened to Israel.
-
Israel continued down a downward path.
-
They kept having false gods, they kept disobeying God.
-
And did God punish them?
-
No, they got on the wrong side of the word.
-
God had healing for them.
-
He revealed to Abraham in Exodus, or in.
-
He revealed to Abraham in Genesis 15, he said I am the Lord, that healeth thee Revealed himself as Jehovah Rapha.
-
And then in Exodus 15, he said you know, if you're a little baby, I'll not put any of the diseases that I put on Egypt on you.
-
And that trips up a lot of Christians.
-
And they see that.
-
They say well, it says that they wouldn't put the.
-
God put diseases on and say well, you have to understand that the Bible is progressive revelation.
-
So everything was God.
-
They didn't have a revelation at all of the devil.
-
They didn't have a revelation of the enemy.
-
So God was the fault of everything that happened.
-
Good and bad was God.
-
I can see some of you questioning.
-
I can see some of you think, well, hey, man, he's going off the.
-
I thought the Bible was true.
-
The Bible is true, but you've got to take your revelation of God today and look at the Bible as a complete revelation from the, from our side, not from their side.
-
They didn't know God like we do.
-
We're after Jesus resurrection.
-
We have the new birth.
-
Guess what?
-
We have a better covenant than they did.
-
Why is that?
-
Because our covenant includes God himself living on the inside of us.
-
They didn't have God living on the inside of them.
-
They were not born again.
-
We're born again.
-
We are bodies of the temples of the Holy Ghost which we have of God.
-
We've been bought with a price.
-
They don't have that in the old covenant, so they were limited as their understanding of God.
-
They couldn't know him the way we know him.
-
And so the writers of the Bible, for instance, in the first five books, that would be Moses.
-
Moses was limited in his revelation.
-
He wrote down what he could tell you.
-
You know, have you ever read the book of revelation, the end of the book and all of these things that John wrote?
-
And man, they're kind of hard to understand.
-
But now we're living in the days when there are weapons of war.
-
There's all kinds of descriptions that he has, and he called them angels.
-
I'm convinced he saw helicopters.
-
I mean I'm convinced that all the creatures that he saw weren't necessarily creatures, they were implements of war.
-
I can't prove it but you can't prove it's not.
-
So See, they were limited.
-
They had limited understanding of what they were seeing.
-
Have you ever, god ever told you something and you had to go?
-
What?
-
What does that mean?
-
Amen, I mean, you know God can do that on a regular basis.
-
Wires are smarter than you are right.
-
And so I'm getting to the covenant.
-
In other words, when they would cry out in repent, they would get blessed and healed.
-
And so you know.
-
Finally, when Jesus got on the scene, he was bringing a demonstration of the Father's love and he was getting them ready for a new covenant.
-
He was getting them ready.
-
God's preference was they get ready, except Jesus is their Messiah and he wanted them ready to receive him, which most of Israel didn't receive him as their Messiah.
-
They're going to one day.
-
So when Jesus healed the sick, we found out that that's a fulfillment of the prophecy in Isaiah, chapter 53.
Isaiah 53 chapter mention
-
And of course I said we have a better covenant.
-
Hebrews age six says we do.
-
We have a better covenant, and that's the reason we do is because we have Jesus living on the inside and the person of the Holy Spirit.
-
They don't have that, and everything in the church is set against sickness and disease.
-
Everything in the church is set against sickness and disease.
-
The church bears the stamp of prosperity, health, protection and soundness.
-
Let me show you a little verse here in James.
-
Everybody say the church is filled with healing.
-
I mean, you know, church ought to not be sick.
-
And so if it is, let's find out why.
-
Let's get down to the nitty gritty and find out what the source of it is.
-
All right, here it sets James, chapter five, verse 13.
-
He says is there any among you afflicted?
-
Let him pray.
-
Is anyone merry?
-
Let him sing songs.
-
Can you imagine calling somebody?
-
You know I'm so happy today.
-
Would you praise God for me?
-
I don't have time to praise him right now, I've got to leave and go to a meeting, but would you mind praising God for me a little?
-
Thank you very much, I mean.
-
But people don't pray for themselves.
-
They are afflicted and then they don't pray.
-
They want somebody else to pray.
-
No, you pray.
-
And then he says he's asking these questions and he says is any sick among you?
-
When you read that in the right way, it's like there really shouldn't be.
-
But is there any sick among you?
-
After all that Jesus has done, you're still sick.
-
Well, if you need help getting your healing, well, then call for the elders of the church and let them anoint you with oil and pray over you, and the prayer of faith shall save the sick.
-
Oh, you mean they have to get saved?
-
No, and the prayer of faith shall sotso the sick.
-
Sotso is a Greek word that carries with it the idea of not only salvation, but health, healing, wholeness, protection, amen.
-
Everything Jesus bought and paid for deliverance, provision.
-
That word sotso is talking about the prayer of faith.
-
Well, what is the prayer of faith?
-
The prayer of faith is what, thanks to our view, desire when you pray, believe you receive them and you shall have them.
-
And so if you don't know how to pray the prayer of faith for yourself to get healed, then it's scriptural then, to get in contact with one of the ministers in the church.
-
Elders meant, or it meant a minister.
-
It meant a pastor or a recognized minister of the church.
-
That's why we have an altar that sometimes you know.
-
Over 30 years of ministry, I found out that sometimes people need a little help getting their healing.
-
And it's not that you're a second class citizen and that we're looking down our nose at you, and so well you little baby.
-
What's wrong with you?
-
No, we want to help.
-
We want to see you healthy.
-
If we can agree with you, or we can lay our hands on you, or we can anoint you with all and pray the prayer of faith over you.
-
If I pray the prayer of faith over you, I'm not gonna say, oh Lord, please heal Sister Mildred, oh, she's so sick.
-
We oh no, that's begging God, for he's already done.
-
You know what prayer of faith would sound like, lord.
-
I thank you that Mildred recognizes that she needs healing and I just agree with her right now, in honor with all in the name of Jesus, and I call her well and whole.
-
I thank you, jesus.
-
You bore this sickness on the Cross at Calvary and she was healed.
-
That means she is healed.
-
We thank you for it right now.
-
See, I didn't beg God for anything.
-
I declared, I decreed.
-
But I've heard people that are not trained pray for the sick and they wind up begging God for something.
-
That's not a very effective way to get something from God.
-
He can only honor what Faith?
-
Amen, not ignorance.
-
We know that.
-
Right, all right.
-
So that's our covenant, we have that way to get it.
-
And 1 Peter 2, 24 quotes Isaiah 53 in the past tense by who stripes?
-
You were healed.
-
So, in God's mind, no matter what you're going through, you were healed.
-
Well, let me ask you something If you were healed, are you healed?
-
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
-
If you were healed, are you healed?
-
I mean, if you say you're not healed, then what happened to the world?
-
Did God somehow forget you?
-
Did he somehow cancel?
-
Well, we're gonna have to cancel her healing.
-
She argued with her husband.
-
She knew her husband was right.
-
She argued with him.
-
Anyway, let's cancel her.
-
No, you just go ahead and repent.
-
You know he's right, I'm just kidding.
-
No, if you were healed, you are healed.
-
See, we've got to look at ourselves.
-
No matter how we feel, no matter what the doctor said, no matter what the symptoms are, no matter what the diagnosis is or the prognosis.
-
You know what a prognosis is.
-
A prognosis is a prediction by the medical professional of what's gonna happen to you.
-
Well, you know what?
-
I'm not gonna go with that prognosis.
-
I'm going with this one right here.
-
This is the one that says I was and I am.
-
I still have people say you know, pastor, I'm going to the doctor.
-
Please pray for me that I have a good report.
-
I wanna scream, because how many times do I have to say that it's irrelevant?
-
I'm not saying you don't need to get the test.
-
I'm not saying that you shouldn't go and find out what the doctor has to say, but we already have the report.
-
The report says you were healed and that you are healed and everything else is nothing but a collection of the flesh.
-
It's a sense knowledge report that's based on what people can see, feel, touch, smell, you know all the five senses.
-
That's what a MRI is, that's what a PET scan is, that's what an X-ray is.
-
It's sense knowledge and this kind of knowledge, revelation knowledge, trump's well, I won't use the word Trump, but it cancels out.
-
I like the word Trump, though.
-
Trump, are y'all getting anything out of this?
-
Come on, let's lift our hands.
-
Glory to God.
-
It's like drinking from a fire hose, isn't it?
-
Well, I'm broadcasting this seed.
-
Some of you are receiving some things different ways of singing the same thing that you've heard, but it's a different way of hearing it, and it's dropping into your spirit.
-
And then others of you are getting the seed that you already have watered and it's bringing forth.
-
I'm telling you, I'm determined that, those red envelopes.
-
When you look back, you're gonna be the greatest year yet.
-
So let me give you three facts here before we close up.
-
Three facts about our covenant rights, the covenant of healing.
-
All right, number one Jesus bore it, jesus took it, jesus carried it, jesus was stricken with it and so we're free from it.
-
And what is it?
-
Sickness, pain, disease, infirmity.
-
Literally, the word infirmity means frailty of mind and or body.
-
Frailty of mind and or body.
-
That's exactly what Jesus did.
-
Jesus took their infirmities, frailties, tendencies.
-
Have you ever been to the doctor?
-
And they wanna do a medical history on you.
-
They ask you okay, did your parents have these diseases?
-
What age were your parents when they died?
-
You know, going through what I've gone through, I've had to fill out a lot of those kind of questionnaires, you know, and I always, when I'm filling them out, I fill them out as accurately as I can.
-
But I'm saying, praise God, I changed families a long time ago.
-
I'm no longer part of that family.
-
I've been molecularly changed.
-
I've got the DNA of my master, jesus, on the inside.
-
Praise God, it's irrelevant what my family line was, but those are tendencies, those are infirmities, those are frailties of the flesh that we need to understand and be aware of so that we can keep our shield of faith up for those things, not to just say you know some people just they don't even pay any attention but they really don't have the faith to stop the arrow that's coming.
-
Let's build our faith and let's you can't.
-
You've got to say some things.
-
You've got to answer some things.
-
Got to answer some things, all right.
-
Number two if we were healed, then we are healed right now.
-
I mean that's worth coming all the way over here on Wednesday night just to get that.
-
We are not trying to get something, we already got something.
-
In fact, jesus got it for us.
-
We didn't even get it.
-
We didn't get it.
-
We didn't take it from the devil, we didn't beat the devil, we didn't stomp the devil in the dirt.
-
He did it, he took it.
-
He took everything on the cross.
-
He took all the stripes.
-
I don't know if this is true, but I've heard preachers that I respect say it.
-
I've never done any personal looking into it, but the Romans would give 39 stripes, which was one less.
-
That their law was.
-
If you ever gave anybody 40 stripes, you could never beat them again, and 39 stripes was just about the edge of most people's ability to stand it.
-
Most people died before they got 39 stripes put on them Because those stripes were with cat and nine tails, they had metal on the tips of the whip and they laid open the sinews of the back, all the way to the bone, and you would mostly die of shock, the shock of the pain.
-
And someone looked it up and said there's 39 major diseases and classifications.
-
I don't know if that's true or not.
-
Sounds about right, could be, but regardless of that, he took it, he carried it, he disposed of it.
-
He took it and it's in the same place where our sins are.
-
Some place else, it's not on us.
-
So we're not trying to get healed.
-
We're already healed.
-
We're healed people resisting sickness and disease.
-
We're healed people resisting sickness and disease.
-
My little brother.
-
He was healed of eight blood diseases, a malformed heart, I think he was like a blue baby when he was born.
-
He was very premature.
-
His grandmother laid him out in the back of the garage, was going to bury him after the childbirth.
-
He wasn't breathing and the mother almost died in childbirth.
-
She was working on the mother and the doctor.
-
They were trying to keep her alive and finally she got the mother past the crisis, went out and was going to bury the little baby and he was breathing, and so they nursed him back and he was never normal.
-
He couldn't play with the other children and finally, when he was 14, he was bed-fast and the Baptist preacher would come over and say, well, you just need to know that he's going to die and just help him get comfortable and help him accept it.
-
They were trying to get him to accept death at 14.
-
I mean, you talk about no revelation of God's Word, and but he just kept reading Grandma's Methodist Bible and he found in there that he didn't have to die.
-
He found in there that people got healed by faith and if God would heal them by their faith, he can heal me by my faith.
-
And he started, you know, and he just came out of that bed.
-
He came out of their healed and the doctor said well, it's just temporary, you're going to die as a young man, don't make any long range plans.
-
Nothing's really changed.
-
I mean, I know you're feeling better, but that's impossible.
-
You know God loves to do things that are impossible with man.
-
It's impossible to man, not with God.
-
So anyway, later on in life.
-
He's preaching in a church, he's staying in the Parsonage Spare bedroom preaching for another preacher, pastor, and he awakes and he said I woke with alarming symptoms.
-
And I had alarming symptoms and he started feeling the same thing he felt when he was paralyzed.
-
He started feeling that weakness.
-
He started his heart was beating, irregular heartbeat stumping out of his chest and he was having all kinds of symptoms in the middle of the night and the devil came to him and said this time you're not going to get your healing.
-
And, brother Hagin, see, this is the value of what I'm preaching tonight.
-
Brother Hagin just started laughing, pulled the covers over his head and he just went.
-
Ha ha ha.
-
Did he feel like laughing?
-
No, didn't want to disturb the other people.
-
Ha ha, oh, shotgun houses, you know, with walls that thin.
-
Ha ha ha.
-
And he just 14, 15, 20 minutes went by.
-
Ha ha, ha, like that.
-
And all these symptoms rage in Ha.
-
And finally the devil says what are you laughing at?
-
He said I'm laughing at you, mr Devil.
-
Ha ha ha.
-
Well, why are you laughing at me?
-
He kept laughing another 10 minutes.
-
Why are you laughing at me?
-
He said because you said that this time I wasn't going to get my healing.
-
Ha ha, I'm not going to have to get my healing, jesus already got it for me.
-
Ha ha ha.
-
Now you just pack up your symptoms and get out of here and every symptom left, say, knowing the Word of God.
-
See, nobody prayed for him, nobody went in there, nobody ministered to him, he just stood on his cover.
-
Are you with me now, knowing that he was healed and he is healed now?
-
I mean, just simple things like this is so powerful.
-
I mean, have you ever heard somebody say a few years ago I saw some sawdust in my study and I called the exterminator and he says man, I've got termites.
-
Well, that was stupid for me to say that I don't have termites.
-
Ha ha ha.
-
I know I'm a spirit and I live in a body and I know that I don't have termites, and neither does my body have termites.
-
What does have termites?
-
Well, my house has termites.
-
So you don't have cancer, you don't have heart disease.
-
You don't have.
-
You know your body has symptoms.
-
You don't.
-
You are a spirit being, you are healed and you have a body that sometimes is subject to all kinds of outside influences.
-
Well, you don't get all excited.
-
You just call the exterminator exterminator.
-
And that's what happened.
-
We exterminated all the termites.
-
Of course I had to rebuild part of my study too New sheet rock, new wainscoting and everything else but the point is we obliterated the termites, amen.
-
And so that's what we can do.
-
You don't have those things.
-
They've just attacked your body or your mind.
-
Whichever the case is All right.
-
So if you were healed, you are healed.
-
Number three, the last one your part in the Covenant is to obey, and God's part is to do the hard thing and that's to heal.
-
He does the supernatural part of it.
-
The manifestation of your healing is all on God.
-
It's not up to you to do it, it's God.
-
All you do is obey God.
-
What do you mean by obeying God?
-
Well, you know it's good to check up on yourself and make sure you're walking in love, for instance, make sure that you're forgiving people.
-
If you've got any grudges, you better get rid of grudges.
-
You ought to always make it a point not to ever let any grudge or anger remain in your heart.
-
I mean, the Bible says don't let the sun go down on your wrath.
-
That's kind of a challenge sometimes with married folk, you know, but that's the easiest place to start having problems.
-
If you start having a lot of difficulty and all of that, it can open the door and the devil can get a beachhead in your health.
-
So let's keep short of counsel to each other.
-
Let's you know three magic words I'm sorry, I was wrong, please forgive me.
-
Just practice those men, just say them over and over to yourself.
-
They'll save you a lot of grief.
-
Honey, I'm sorry, I was wrong, please forgive me, amen.
-
So many people are right fighters.
-
They want to fight.
-
They are right, I was right, I would quit being a right fighter.
-
Just say I'm sorry, I was wrong, please forgive me.
-
And it's just easier.
-
Mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy?
-
All right, give no place to the devil, see?
-
I see Ephesians 4, 27.
-
What would happen if you left the door open at night?
-
I mean, I don't mean unlocked, I mean standing open.
-
What would happen?
-
I mean, if you left your front door wide open?
-
You could wake up with a dog in your house.
-
You could wake up with a squirrel in your house.
-
You could wake up with a chupacabra out here, you could.
-
So you what?
-
You close the door, don't you?
-
And if you're living out here too, good idea to go ahead and lock it too right and turn the alarm on.
-
If you've got one of those, it'd be nice to do that so to give no place to them.
-
Don't leave your door open.
-
Don't give the devil an easy way in.
-
Praise God, hallelujah, healing our covenant right.
-
Amen.
-
Let's lift our hands and receive.
-
Praise God, thank you for it, father.
-
Let's all stand on our feet Live stream.
-
All of you stand on your feet there and keep watching, and let's say this together let's give you a good confession here.
-
All right, everybody.
-
Say this out loud, but say by 919, 2020.
-
I'll look back and say this has been the greatest year of my life.
-
Jesus took, he bore, he carried and he was stricken with every evil symptom trying to invade my body.
-
I am well, I am whole, I am healed.
-
I laugh when the enemy tries to bring infirmity or pain.
-
I am victorious in every contest.
-
My health is springing forth like a watered garden.
-
I walk in love towards others.
-
I walk in obedience to the Word.
-
I give no place to the devil.
-
I'm always on the lookout to testify to others of my victory in Christ.
-
I'm an able minister of the new covenant.
-
Praise God, I'm healed.
-
Well, come on, let's shout the victory.
-
Hallelujah, glory to God.
-
Thank you Lord.
-
Thank you Lord.
-
Well, I was hoping you'd lay hands on.
-
Well, I'm gonna lay hands on people, but I wanna preach on this awhile.
-
I wanna get it into you and then we'll have a night when we do that.
-
Okay, let's all be seated, please Now.
-
Next week we're gonna continue in the covenant truths.
-
Share some more with you about the covenant, see, because really that's our foundation of truth.
-
Is our covenant, our, paid for by the precious blood of Christ?
-
When you have faith in His blood, then you have faith in what His finished work was done, it's finished.
-
There's nothing left for Him to do, nothing left for Him to do.
-
He's already done it.
-
All we have to do is what?
-
Receive it by faith.
-
Amen, praise God.
