Covenant Truths

Well, let's just stand back up.

We didn't stand very long, but I want you to stand back up, wave your Bibles around, make Jesus glad, the devil mad.

Let's say this together say Heavenly Father, I'm here on healing Wednesdays.

This word is coming forth as both seed and water.

I'm receiving fresh revelation that's increasing my faith, that's developing my spirit and it's also watering the word that I already have.

And this healing word is bringing forth health fruit.

I'm not just after getting healed, but I want to walk in divine health because I have a health covenant with my God in Jesus' name.

Amen, amen, praise God, let's be seated now and let's take a seat Turning our Bibles to a couple of places here Session number two and Matthew, chapter eight, and also first, peter, chapter two, and again we welcome our live stream audience.

We invite you to move right along with us and I know many of you are watching.

And Matthew, chapter eight, verse 16.

When the evening was come, they brought unto him, that is, to Jesus, many that were possessed with demons, and he cast out the spirits with his word and healed all that were sick.

That it might be fulfilled, which was spoken by the prophet Isaiah saying himself took our infirmities and bear our sicknesses, and of course, that future perfect tense, as we talked about last night himself, that it might be fulfilled as a future perfect tense in the Greek, and that means that it's fulfilled every time, even in today's time when people get their healing.

It's a continuous fulfillment, a continuous fulfillment.

And then in first Peter two, and of course those verses are first Peter, isaiah 53, four.

It's quoting Isaiah there.

And then, when you go over to first Peter, chapter two, peter is quoting Isaiah 53, five and he says who is on self bear our sin, his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sin, should live under righteousness, by whose stripes ye were healed past tense.

So last week we began stressing about the fact that we do have a covenant with God.

I believe that everything that we teach, we need to build a good foundation.

I was a home builder for 25 years and I have to pay close attention to the foundation.

The foundation's bad.

The house is not gonna turn out very well.

You're gonna have lots of money.

It's gonna turn out very well.

You're gonna have lots and lots and lots of problems and, depending on what part of town you build in, you've got to adapt the foundation to the ground and for healing and the things that you know in God's mind we're already healed.

Well, if we're already healed, why aren't more people healed?

Well, number one, they may not believe it.

They may not have been instructed properly to have a good foundation in their covenant.

You know, you've got to know what the Bible says, and so the main thing is to believe that what the Bible says about healing is true and that theories that you may have heard, I tell you, I run into people all the time that have a lot of theories about healing.

You know, brother Hagin, his Baptist preacher, came by when he was dying on a death bed and paralyzed, and as a young teenager, 14 years old, and his preacher there in that town in McKinney, texas, his theory was is that healing had passed away with the apostles?

Well, the Bible doesn't say that.

That was a theory.

I like what Brother Hagin says about theories.

Theory is a supposition based on ignorance of the subject under discussion, and so when you're going to talk about healing, you better talk about it from the standpoint of what did God say, what does the Word say, and so, and then you know.

The other thing is that sometimes people just are not faithful to feed on the healing word when they need healing.

You ignore the Bible and ignore what it is that you're needing.

Well then, sometimes the devil can get a foothold.

We talked about a beachhead, a foothold last week.

We want to make sure you know.

Ephesians six says we have the shield of faith, the quench, all the fiery darts of the wicked one.

So he's firing fiery darts at you.

Been many, many times when I've prayed for the sick, that God would show me an arrow or an axe or some kind of implement that the devil had used to fire at people and into the area that they were having trouble with.

And uh, and sometimes I had to deal with that demonic.

It wasn't a demon, it was what a demon had done, and that kind of interesting, isn't it?

And uh, and over the years I've had great success.

What is that?

Well, that's a gift of discerning of spirits, and when you have the discerning of spirits in operation, well you know it's.

And then the gift of healing.

So usually when I pull that arrow out, I mean there's instant healing.

I had a lady sitting right over there one Sunday night and I called her and I called out.

I said someone's got terrible pain in their shoulder.

You're having a hard time.

You've gone to the doctor, nothing helps.

And this woman came to write up, I said, and I immediately I discern there was a big arrow sticking in the in her shoulder and I knew that she had must have had an accident or something.

So I said, let me ask you something.

Uh, your shoulder, yeah.

I said, did you have an accident?

She had a car wreck and I heard it in the car wreck.

I said, well, that's why I had explained to that arrow.

Then I pulled the arrow out, laid hands on her and she was instantly healed.

I mean, she started waving that arm around, doing a windmill and everything else.

Glory to God, so, uh, so in Luke five uh 15, it says in so much the more the fame of Jesus spread abroad, so that great multitudes came to hear and to be healed of their infirmities.

I mean, he didn't have time to lay hands on everybody he had, he couldn't have sat there and discerned individual demons, you know, out of a multitude.

So it was the word.

You see, he was anointed to preach the gospel.

The gospel is the good news, the word you know.

The first time I ever went to India with brother Osteen to do a crusade, and it happened to be the last time I went to India with brother Osteen, but anyway, I saw that in operation.

Brother Osteen just simply preached the word to that crowd and that first night was 60,000.

Second, that was about 80,000 officials of the of the great Nehru Stadium there in New Delhi they're the ones giving us the count and 80,000.

The second night, 100,000.

The last night, 90,000,.

I got the minister to 90,000 and 100,000 people give my testimony and sin.

The brother Osteen would preach just a simple word and just the gospel, the good news that God wanted to.

God loved them and wanted them.

Well, you know, jesus said that he has sent me to heal the broken hearted.

And in that crowd there were many broken hearted people, I mean the lame and the blind and the deaf.

I went for a, a sound check, just a couple of hours before the.

The night, you know, brother Osteen called me and said, hey, I want you to sing tonight.

And I said, oh, I'd be honored, so I'd, I'd brought some tracks.

And then I got there early and Joel, his son, was there with me and we got there and we plugged the track in and I had a sound check, you know, and, and one of the Indian pastors was with me, escort me into the stadium making sure I could get access to everything, and he said why don't you go down there?

They, they really want, they just want to touch you.

Well, that was a big mistake, because there was thousands of them already there hours before and they were all sitting down in the, in the infield of this giant stadium.

And when I went down there, they started mobbing me.

They started running from every corner trying to get and they grabbed my hand and put it on their head, grabbed my hand, put it on their, their body part, wherever, whatever.

Oh, I just I made a big mistake because I mean, they thought I was the healer and I, you know, I just I felt, I felt bad, see, because I, hey, just wait around, you know, you're going to get your, you're going to get the real thing here and just a little while.

Glory to God.

I tell you, people are broken hearted.

Jesus preached the gospel, brother Osteen preached the gospel.

People got healed.

I mean, I saw a lame man get up and throw his stick down.

He had he had this kind of swivel round on a stick when I one leg drawn up, you know, like this.

He couldn't even straighten it out and suddenly he's just through the stick down and walked right up on the platform and and and talked about how he had gotten healed and he had gotten saved.

He had, he was a Sikh, he had one of those turbines on.

Remember the police officer that got killed here recently?

You know the Sikh man, you know our, our symbol is the cross and their symbol is the cross swords.

I mean, it's a violent religion in India.

I don't know how, how peaceful it is here, but there it's not one of the quiet ones, it's not one of the.

You know, it's violent.

And this man, you know you could tell he was a fierce looking guy.

I mean I would not want to meet him Once he got healed.

I wouldn't want to meet him in an alley somewhere.

Oh, people broken hearted and they need healing, amen.

Well, it's a shame.

People in the church.

You know they're not going to get healed and they need healing.

Well, it's a shame, people in the church.

We ought to, we ought to not have any problems.

Let's get ourselves healed.

I'm convinced when the, when the church gets really in the kind of health that it should, we'll be more bold to lay our hands on other people that are just in that condition.

And so we have to teach and talk healing even more.

That's what Jesus did.

People came to hear and to be healed of their infirmities, which means frailties of the mind and our body, and, and so if we're strong and knowing and appropriating what our covenant says we have, then we can avoid and minimize opportunities to be sick and possibly even to go to heaven before our time.

And so, you know, we talked about three facts last week.

Number one Jesus bore it, jesus took it, jesus carried it, jesus was stricken with it, jesus was smitten with it.

Then we are free from it.

And what is it?

Sickness and disease, infirmity, pain, everything that's dogging your tracks, everything that's holding you back, everything that's interrupting your schedule, everything that's causing you not to be able to do everything you really, in your heart, wanna do.

You know, wellani is 91 and he still wants you know, he feels like God wants him to go around the world one more time and open up all the wells that he had.

He dug a bunch of wells, you know, for many years.

He wants to go back over and make sure they're still flowing.

Well, that's a good way to live.

A long life is to have something in front of you that you haven't accomplished yet.

He's not looking for a rocking chair, you know.

He said you know, pastor, if I have to do it in a wheelchair, I'll do it.

I said, oh God, I want you to walk just like you did before.

Amen, let's believe.

And number two if we were healed, then we are healed.

We're healed right now.

I know this sounds simple, but I mean we have to let our bodies know what we know.

You know, your body is just gonna do whatever.

You know your body really, in a way, in a way, your body wants to be sick.

You know, paul said in my flesh well, it's no good thing.

I mean, your body is just filled with all kinds of organisms that easily get out of sync with one another.

Our bodies are fearfully and wonderfully made, but since the fall there are a few things that are you know, our bodies are not yet redeemed, and so there's some things in there that we just have to rule over our bodies.

Paul said I keep under my body.

In other words, I keep my body under subjection.

What does that mean?

It means, in my spirit.

I am a spirit, I live in a body and I have a mind, will and intellect.

I mean, that's what got me out of ICU, kept me from dying on the operating table.

That revelation.

Because I did not have heart trouble, I did not have a blockage.

My body, my circulatory system had a blockage in my body, so I had to make my body, you know, obey me, you be open now.

And with a little medical intervention I got open.

Amen.

But I tell you right now, if I lived on a desert island it wasn't no access to a heart doctor, I would have opened it anyway.

Are you with me now?

Thank God, we're doctors, but sometimes I think we just we're kind of a little bit spoiled.

Maybe we run to the doctor when we just, hey, you know one of the things about this message if you'll start, if you quit going to the medicine cabinet and quit going to the doctor, every, you know, minute, minute, something goes wrong, let's stand against it first, give your faith a chance to work.

I don't know who that's for, but anyway I know one thing I told Betty I said don't you let them cut his toes off, because I knew what he'd been sitting under.

Are you with me now?

And so, number three our part of the covenant is to obey.

And what is our?

What part of the covenant?

Well, our covenant?

Just a love covenant.

We're to walk in love.

We're to walk in forgiveness, no grudges, no, no vengeance.

You know Ephesians 4, 27,.

Give no place to the devil.

The easiest way to give place to the devil is to be in disobedience, in the love wash First place.

I look if I'm, if I had some bad diagnosis, I'd look first of all, make sure I didn't have any grudges.

I'd clear out any kind of junk.

I think about Dodie.

I mean she wrote letters to everybody when she was diagnosed with metathatic cancer of a liver.

We were there at Lakewood.

We were there, witnessed every minute of it.

We witnessed the good, the bad and the ugly Talked about that Sundays.

You don't know what I'm talking about, get the media and.

But I mean, when she heard that diagnosis, she sat down and she tried to think of every person she might've wronged and she wrote them a letter or she called them on the phone.

And she even thought about a girl back when she was just a young girl.

They'd play baseball or softball, I guess, and she had polio too, like Lonnie, she had polio in one leg, so one leg shorter than the other, so she couldn't run the bases.

So she'd love to play and so she'd get up to bat and she'd swing the bat and this one little girl would run for her and that was her job.

She'd run the bases for Dodie and Dodie felt man, that was a raw deal.

She never got to play, she had to run the bases for me.

Oh, dear Sally, I'm so sorry she could apologize.

And she said yeah, you know you gotta be kidding me, I to think of where you are now and what good you're doing.

And then I got to be a little part of your growing up and got to bless you with just being able to run the bases when you hit the ball.

I mean that was a wonderful blessing for me.

I mean I never thought anything bad about it, dodie, you don't need to apologize, see, but that was her heart.

She cleared all the stuff out.

Are you with me now Talking about leaving the front door open?

You don't leave your front door open at night, do you?

No telling what to get in there?

In my case, probably four.

I got four squirrels running all over the front of my house.

They'd probably all be in my living room eating my couch if I left the front door open.

Could be a robber couldn't come in the front door.

Brother Hagen tells a story about going in the days when he was on the field ministry.

He'd go to a church and be there for, you know, a week at a time.

This one church.

He went every year be there a week and he'd teach on faith and have Holy Ghost meetings at night and he'd have healing lines.

This young man, young boy, 18 years old, had had epilepsy came up in the healing night and got healed.

God healed that young man, never had another seizure and he was free for almost a whole year.

So a year later Brother Hagen's back in that church and he sees the young man in the crowd and the Holy Ghost says now he's.

I want to talk to you about that young man.

He said he was free all year until a month ago.

In the last 30 days he's had three seizures and it's because he was afraid and he fell asleep without taking care of that fear.

He fell asleep afraid and when he did he opened the door and Satan brought the seizures back on him.

Now you talk to him and tell him all about that, close that fear door and I'll heal him.

So he comes up in the healing line and Brother Hagen says well, don't say a word.

The Holy Ghost talked to me, all about it, I'm gonna say it.

If it's not, so just tell me.

And he just went right through.

Exactly what the spirit of God told him and he said is that so?

He said it's every bit so, it's exactly so.

I fell asleep before I could take authority.

I knew that fear, I was dealing with it, but I didn't get free of it before I fell asleep.

And then, ever since then, I've been battling this symptom.

And so they dealt with the fear and he laid his hands on him and he got free.

Praise God, hallelujah.

Well, we're gonna close up all the doors, all the places where the devil can enter in.

All right, tonight I wanted to share some more about covenant truth.

So you get anything out of this tonight, praise God.

Well, it's time to go home.

Well, in my mode, no, it's not time yet.

Exodus 15, let's take an Exodus 15.

You know, in our modern society it's hard to find people that keep their word.

And you know there's real estate.

I think, especially like if you ever sign, like a condominium, they have covenants, you know, and agreements, and they actually use the word covenant because it's a complicated situation.

On condo, because you've got an apartment building, essentially that's got a whole bunch of different owners and then you've got to pay the maintenance together and you've got to do a lot of things together, you know, and you have to make some covenants in there because you know it's not like a single family home.

You know it's just your home and that's it.

But when you're buying a condo, well, you've got however many 30 co-owners or 20 co-owners or however big the condo project is.

So all it takes is one deadbeat to mess things up and then you know your maintenance gets behind.

You can't get people to, you know, do what they're supposed to do and pay, and so they have covenants in there.

But people, you know, in modern days I mean, it's hard for people.

They sign leases and break them.

They get married.

Don't think anything about the marriage covenant.

Marriage is a covenant, amen.

But we have a covenant.

God cares about his covenant.

He doesn't break the covenant.

Exodus 15, this is right after they've come out on the other side of the Red Sea.

And Miriam is out there, man, she's dancing and twirling and singing.

And in verse 23,.

Let's look at it.

And when they, israel, came to Mara, they could not drink of the waters of Mara, for they were bitter.

Therefore the name of it was called Mara, or bitterness.

And the people murmured against Moses, saying what shall we drink?

And he cried unto the Lord.

And the Lord showed him a tree which he had cast into the waters.

When he had cast the tree into the waters, the waters were made sweet and there he made for them a statute and an ordinance.

That is God did.

And there he, god, proved them and said if thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord, thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight and will give ear to his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee which I have brought upon the Egyptians, for I am the Lord that healeth thee.

I am Jehovah.

Rapha, or Claire's been talking and saying Yahweh.

She says it's more correct.

I don't know Jehovah.

Yahweh, take your pick, but Jehovah is a.

Anytime.

You see, jehovah, that is a covenant name.

Covenant name, in other words.

My dad used to say a lead pipe cinch.

In other words, this is it.

This is the truth.

This is.

You can bank on it.

You can put your life on it, on God's side.

He's not gonna renege on that covenant.

He's never reneged on the covenant with Israel yet.

That's why it's so critical for us to be supporters of Israel and not pressure them to give their land away.

Right back to this.

It's a covenant.

Now, he didn't give them the land yet, but he does.

Well, he gave it to Abraham, and so that's where they're headed.

They're headed to their covenant land.

So so I'm the Lord that he let thee.

Now it's troublesome and I've dealt with this, but I want to deal with it more completely because you're likely, you know, to be around people, even other Christians and even other Christians, that are in full gospel churches.

You know what a full gospel church is.

That's what this is.

Full gospel means that Jesus died for more than just you're going to heaven, but he died to make you whole, healthy provision.

It's the full gospel.

Luke, chapter four, is the full gospel.

He has sent me to preach the gospel to the poor.

You know, heal, the brokenhearted, so forth, deliverance, safety, all of those things the full gospel Most of the evangelicals are not full gospel.

They just focus only on being saved.

So a lot of those are misinformed about healing and they'll quote this verse and they'll say well, God, you know you can't really believe for healing because God puts sickness on you for some high and holy purpose.

Now look at this verse.

So this verse says that God it's quoting God and God said I won't put, I won't put the diseases that I brought upon Egypt to two things there and I'm here to say that he didn't do that.

Well, it says he did.

I know it says he did.

But see, if you read your Bible with the wrong perspective, you're gonna wrongly divide.

You know Paul told Timothy rightly divide the word of truth.

You can either rightly divide it or wrongly divide it.

And when you just skim over the top of the word and just kind of read it like some kind of a comic book and you don't delve into it and read it from the perspective that you're at the right hand of God Almighty and you have a new covenant, it's better than the one that he gave them, bound upon better promises.

Hebrews 8.6 says and when you see it, the Bible is all progressive revelation.

They don't know, except how they look at things.

They don't have any revelation of the devil.

There is no revelation of the devil, Even though Adam saw that snake.

He saw a snake, he didn't realize it was Satan and he didn't pass that on to anybody.

So people never did understand the role of Satan and demon powers in their lives and so it was always.

God permitted, god brought, god did, god did it all.

After the fall, the whole world was in a curse.

But the Bible is progressive revelation.

So we who are all post resurrection, we have the spirit of God living on the inside of us.

We know our God, we know that he's a God of love, and a God of love would never put something on you.

First of all, where would he get sickness?

There isn't any up there.

Would you, if you're a good father, would you I mean Jesus said you know if you'd be a natural father, if you're a natural father, know how to give good gifts to your children?

How much more should your heavenly father give good gifts to those that ask Him?

It doesn't say the heavenly father's gonna give you a worm.

The heavenly father's gonna give you a slap upside the head with a two by four.

It doesn't say that.

I mean if we would be put in jail for child abuse here, son, let me teach you not to ever touch that hot stove, tssh.

No, we'd be arrested and we should be thrown in jail.

People accused God of child abuse.

No, he loves you, he loves, he loved Israel.

We'll get into that in a minute.

He said he loved them, and so you have to read the Bible.

From your point of view, your perspective is greater than Moses.

It's greater than Abraham.

This is listen.

This is a powerful statement I'm making right here, and if you don't know that, you'll fall victim to every negative naysayer, person that just bitter and doesn't want you to get your healing, try to talk you out of getting healed because they never got healed.

You start digging into it and you'll find out.

Maybe their wife died.

I had a guy that just fought me tooth and nail and I found out his wife died of cancer and he turned his back on God just through the whole thing out.

Well, that was why he was trying to talk me out of being saved too late.

So he turned his back on God.

So all nature is in darkness after the fall.

And that's where you know when you read the book of Genesis when you know.

It says that Adam walked with God in the cool of the day and the Ruach in the spirit of the day.

He walked with God.

He didn't have to have a sacrifice, he didn't have to kill an animal to get to God.

He just, they just hung up.

He was righteous, he was God's son, he was in charge of the whole world until he sold out to Satan.

You know the story.

And then he transferred his authority to the devil and he lost his right standing.

And then he you know God went looking for him.

Where are you?

What happened?

Where are you at?

Did you eat the fruit of the tree?

Yeah, the woman which thou gave us?

Where were you?

I was afraid.

See, he starts.

See, fear came, sickness came.

It didn't come for a long time, but it did eventually come.

They had to make their, you know, crops by the sweat of their brow.

They had to.

You know, they had to really pound the earth to get it to bring forth anything.

I mean, it was a hard living.

See, that was the curse of the fall.

Are you with me Now?

Are you following me?

God didn't do it.

I said God didn't do it, and so they didn't know.

So in that time you'll find out that next thing.

You know, adam and Eve have skins.

They're wearing skins.

He clothed them.

They were naked, they were shamed, so he clothed them.

Well, when he killed those animals, he, oh no doubt, taught them about animal sacrifice no one could approach God except over the side of a bleeding sacrifice.

And he taught them about the tide, because we find out with Cain and Abel about tithing and giving and how to approach God.

And Abel did it and Cain didn't.

And so Cain got mad and jealous of Abel and killed Abel.

So then you had murder.

See, murder came right on the heels of all these other things.

Are you with me now?

So the Bible is progressive revelation.

So when you see in the Old Testament that God put diseases on the Egyptians and that he's not gonna put them on you, well, he said he wasn't gonna put them.

So even if you believed he puts them, he said he wouldn't.

Where do you get off thinking that God is the author of sickness and disease?

Even if he did do the which he didn't, the devil is the one that afflicted Egypt.

So you go all the way to the flood when you read about Noah, righteous Noah, and he survives the flood.

Everybody else, evidently, was not righteous.

They weren't approaching God over the side of a bleeding sacrifice, they weren't honoring God, they weren't worshiping God.

And the Bible says the earth was filled with violence.

It's filled with violence.

And that word violence and this is just an aside, but that word violence is a Hebrew word, hamas, and that's a terrorist group in the Palestinian territories, hamas, they're aptly named.

And so, after the flood, then you finally have all the nations get together, and then, of course, you had the power of Bible and finally you get to Abraham, and God selects Abraham, a Hebrew out of 70.

And he says I want you to leave your father's house and I'll make you know I'll bless those who bless thee and curse those who curse thee, and out of thee, all the families of the earth shall be blessed.

So he made him a promise.

And then, later on, let's look at Genesis 15.

And you, you know, if you want to get a really good teaching, you know, find what.

When Brother Raphael Cruz was here, he did an excellent teaching on covenant.

I'm just hitting the high spots.

He had a very in depth back time before last he was here.

I think it's on the website Tremendous teaching on covenants and you need to get that in your spirit and understand.

When God says something, he means it and he stands by his word.

He's never going to alter his word, never.

So let's be like him and never alter our word.

In Genesis 15, verse 18, the same day, the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying under thy seed have I given this land from the river of Egypt, under the great river, the river Euphrates.

Genesis 15:18

And then he starts naming all of these nations the Kenites, the Kenites, the Kadmanites, the Hittites, parasites, raphayim, the Amoretes and the Canaanites, and the Gurgoshites, the Jebusites.

Man, there's a lot of termites, blood lights, lots ofites.

They're all covered right there.

Just in case anybody thought that there was any exception to the rule, god cut the covenant with Abraham, gave him the land.

You can see how foolish it is for any nation to get involved with colluding ours to get involved trying to make some kind of peace process.

Where no peace can happen, there can no peace happen.

I'm going to say that again there can no peace happen, there is no peace.

There's going to be a false peace midway through the tribulation period and the Antichrist is going to broker that one.

And that's all built on a lie.

Are you with me?

So I wish people would just read their Bible and then just leave the Jews alone.

They were well able to defend themselves because they've got a partner that's got an active part.

I was just watching, especially the other night I think it was last night about the war with Egypt.

I mean it was amazing what God did.

Egypt was so superior in their military strength.

They had all these sand missile sites out there, I mean just countless numbers of missiles aimed at Israel, and I mean Israel knocked all of them out, destroyed 30% of their tanks.

I mean it was amazing.

God helped them All right.

So one nation, god entered into covenant.

He exempted one nation, the Hebrew nation, from the curses that already existed.

And so then you, you know, in the Bible days you had, it was customary for people to have covenants.

You had, and especially in the Middle East, it's a tribal, nomadic, tribal type of society and it's so silly to draw, you know, like after World War I we drew lines around Iraq and drew lines around Iran and drew lines a lot of places that really borders don't mean anything, because the peoples that are there are nomadic peoples and they flow from one place to the next, you know.

So you've got to have a true border where a certain people group dwell, otherwise a border doesn't mean anything.

So, for instance, iraq, they drew a border around Iraq and they encompassed the three groups of people that hate each other.

They've hated each other for 800 years.

So guess what?

The Iraq war wasn't very successful because you've got the Shiites, the, you know, and the Kurds, you know they don't get along.

But anyway, in Bible days you would have tribes that would be next to each other.

For instance, you'd have a strong tribe, like a warrior type tribe, people that were skilled in fighting and they travel a lot, they move a lot.

And here you have a agricultural tribe that stays in one place because they've got, you know, crops and they're planting crops.

They can't move everywhere they've got.

So you might have those two cut the covenant with each other.

The strong tribe says hey, tell you what.

We'll watch after your crops, we'll watch after you, we'll protect you from raiders and thieves, poachers, trespassers.

All we ask for you is food, want you to feed us.

And so they enter into covenant.

Strong tribe, weak tribe See again, we don't relate to that in our Western society, but it's in the Bible, the covenant idea.

And they would meet together, they would establish their terms, they would bring gifts, the leaders would cut their wrists and their blood would mingle.

See, in other words, they become.

You know, the Indians used to call blood brothers.

You know the outlaw, josie Wells.

He stuck his hand out to the Indian, you know, and they cut their palms and they talked about words of life and words of death.

They're stealing your words and it was covenant language.

That's why I like that movie they don't make movies like that much anymore.

And so he was a blood brother with that Indian that wanted to kill him.

You know, they got peace, they coexisted, and then they'd drink the cup and then they would swear they'd obligate their tribe to the death.

In other words, if we don't do our side, we'll die.

You can kill us.

You have permission to take our lives.

So when God cut the covenant with Abraham, you know that was a big deal.

I mean in Hebrews.

Let's look at Hebrews, chapter six.

Pastor, I don't know, this is getting dry.

No, it's.

You've gotta know that when God gives you something in the covenant, it's yours, or else something's gonna happen to him.

We lose it, we lose that whole idea in in churchianity.

You know they don't teach this.

It's too bloody, it's too hard.

Oh, it's blood, ooh.

Hebrews six, 13.

For when God made promise to Abraham because he could swear by no greater, he swore by himself, saying surely, blessing I will bless thee and multiplying I will multiply thee.

And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

For men barely swear by the greater and an oath for confirmation is to them and the end of all strife Say once you make the oath, once you swear, that's it.

They take you at your word because you're swearing to your death.

Are you with me now?

We're, in God, willing more abundantly to show, under the heirs of promise, the immutability or the unchangeableness of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath, that by two immutable or unchangeable things.

What are those two things, somebody asked me.

Well, his promise and his oath.

It can't change.

It can't change his promise and his oath.

Well, what is an oath?

I swear I'll uphold my end or I will die.

Let me ask you something.

Has God died yet?

He's not likely to die, is he?

But that's what he said and that's how serious he was when he cut the covenant with Abraham and we have a better covenant founded upon better promises Hebrews 8.6.

So he swore to us Are you with me now?

Oh, glory to God, I mean you, just.

You don't have to put up with sickness and disease.

So by two immutable things, his promise and his oath, we might have a strong consolation.

Who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us?

Which hope we have as an anchor to the soul?

Why do we need an anchor to the soul?

Our mind gives us trouble when those things are not in place.

Our mind gives us trouble when those doctors give us a diagnosis and sometimes a prognosis, and when you get a test.

Any test that the doctor runs is a sense knowledge test.

It's limited to this realm right here, but our covenant is in the spirit realm.

It's eternal in the heavens.

And so we need an anchor.

We need sometimes we need to fled for refuge to our covenant and say, well, I know what the doctor says, I know what my body is telling me, but your word says this, god, I'm anchored on that word.

I'm anchored on it.

I can't be moved.

Oh, glory to God, come on, let's lift our hands.

Oh, which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enter into that within the veil.

In other words, the holy of holies up in heaven, whether the forerunner is for us, entered.

Even Jesus made a high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.

What does a high priest do?

He executes thoroughly what God said.

He watches over his word to perform it.

Oh, glory to God.

You see why you need these anchors, you need this revelation.

That's a good Deuteronomy seven here.

Now, why am I going to the Old Testament?

Well, because we have a better covenant than that.

And the other thing is that it's a type and shadow of our new covenant.

You know, I'm casting the shadow up here because of the lighting.

The shadow is what?

Two-dimensionals?

It has no thickness, it has no real shape, it's just flat.

But I'm not flat, I'm sure not flat, especially when I turn this direction, but I'm three-dimensional.

See, so we have.

The covenant we have is so much more defined and precious than what they had.

There's just a shadow, ours is the whole, it's the whole shitting match.

Glory to God.

Deuteronomy, chapter seven, verse 13.

Well, let's go back it up to verse 11.

Deuteronomy seven, 11, and this is Moses talking to the children of Israel before he dies, turns them over to Joshua.

They're fixing to go into the promised land, so he's buttoning up some, getting them to understand what covenant they've got and their obligations thereof and their promises.

Deuteronomy seven, 11,.

Now shall therefore keep the commandments and the statutes and the judgments which I command you this day to do them, wherefore it shall come to pass that if you harken to these judgments and keep and do them, that the Lord, by God, shall keep unto thee the covenant and the mercy which he swear unto thy fathers, and he will love thee.

And he will love thee.

He loved, he loved Israel.

This is what they forgot in the many hundred year, 400 years, between Malachi and John the Baptist.

This is the nation that Jesus came upon.

They had no revelation of the love of God at all.

They thought God was mean.

They thought God was judgmental.

They thought God had put all this stuff on them.

They thought God put the sickness on them.

They thought God took all their wealth.

They thought God allowed and God permitted.

No, god didn't have anything to do with it.

He had a promise.

They're the ones that violated the agreement, but they blame God.

Here it is, and God will love thee and bless thee and multiply thee.

He will also bless the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your land, your corn, your wine, your oil, the increase of your cattle, the flocks of your sheep in the land which he's swearing to thy fathers to give thee.

Thou shalt be blessed above all people.

There shall not be male nor female barren among you or among your cattle, and the Lord will take away from the all sickness and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt which you know upon thee, will lay them upon all them that hate thee.

We'll see there again.

You've got to read this from the proper perspective, because God didn't do that.

This is how they got the idea.

They got the idea from an incomplete.

Are you saying that's not the word?

No, I'm just saying that the writer of this book, who is Moses, did not have a complete revelation of what the devil did, so he couldn't know.

He was just looking at.

God was in charge of everything.

And that's where you get this.

Permit stuff and God allowed this and God permitted that.

If your kids are going to Christian school, odds are they're hearing this and you're gonna have to.

You think you can ship your kids off to Christian school and have them come.

They'll get all messed up on you because there's not one out of them I don't even know what the figure is that had this revelation that they're teaching, they're gonna teach them just well, who's God allowed?

Well, you just can't know.

These things, god allows, god permits.

Well, how come all those kids got killed at Parkland?

I'm scared.

Why did God take all those children?

Well, we just can't know.

We just don't know.

In the sweet by and by, we'll add you know, the devil did it.

Good God, why don't you grow a brain?

At least have a brain?

God didn't have anything to do with it, all right.

So God reveals a further commitment, healing here to them and lets them know that he is the Lord that heals them.

We have three covenant truths that I wanna talk about tonight.

Israel's covenant, as I said, is a type of our covenant, a shadow, and Hebrews 8.6 says our new covenant.

We have a better covenant found upon better promises.

How could there be better promises?

I'm still kinda confused about the promises.

Well, we have the promise of going to heaven.

They didn't what?

No, they didn't have a promise to go to heaven.

Because they couldn't go to heaven.

They weren't born again.

They couldn't go to heaven until Jesus went down and spoke to them in the prison in Abraham's bosom, and then that's when they went to heaven.

They had no promise of heaven.

They still had to believe on Jesus when he came down there.

When he came down to Abraham's bosom and revealed himself to Israel down in Abraham's bosom, that's when they had to believe like us, and then they went to heaven.

They didn't have a promise.

They also didn't have a promise of eternal life.

They didn't have the life of God in them like we do.

They weren't born again.

They weren't new creatures and they never will be new creatures.

Don't talk to me about.

You know all these.

That's the other thing about these messianic churches.

They celebrate a covenant that's inferior to ours.

Now, I'm not critical of Israel.

We love Israel.

We're commanded to love Israel.

God loves them.

If God loves them, we love them.

But that doesn't mean that I'm gonna try to be like them.

No, I don't wanna be like them.

I'm glad I've got what I got and there's always a chance on this side of heaven that we can get them saved and born again and get them into the church.

And every now and then a Jewish person gets saved, they do, all right.

So the first point we wanna leave here with tonight.

Number one legal.

Our covenant changes our status from sickness to health.

It changes our status.

I mentioned that last Sunday but I'm gonna say it again tonight Our covenant changes our status from sickness to health.

Have you ever had to fill out some kind of form?

And they say marital status single or married.

That's what they ask you.

So if you're filling out a form sick or healthy your status is healthy.

Well, I would put that pastor, but I'm really fighting.

No, no, you got it all wrong.

You're healthy.

You're not trying to get healthy.

God's eyes, your status has already changed.

You're gonna have to start admitting what the legal would you do that on a piece of paper that marital and single, would you say man, I wish I was single.

I'm gonna check single.

Some of you would wish you were married.

You'd put check the merit in, even though you're single.

No, you can't.

No, we're healthy.

Praise God, our status changed.

Number two number two see, that's the legal side of it.

It's absolutely.

You have every legal covenant right to call yourself well, no matter what the doctor said, no matter what the prognosis, diagnosis, no matter what the how you feel.

You might be in bed with 105 fever and you can still say, god, I'm healed and you're not lying.

See, a lot of people they think they're lying when they say that, well, I don't wanna be like that.

Everybody knows I'm sick.

No, they don't.

It doesn't matter.

What everybody knows, it's what you know.

Let me ask you, it's God's line.

See, it all gets back to what he said.

Just agree with it, don't reject it.

Don't reject what God said.

All right, so your status has changed from sickness to health, and then number two, even though our bodies are in this world and are not yet redeemed, our covenant supersedes the facts with the truth.

You know, the fact is that you've been diagnosed or your body has been diagnosed.

Let's put it that way.

Your body may have been diagnosed with some, let's just say, cancer.

Your body might have been diagnosed with cancer and it might be specific.

You may have been facing, you know, bone cancer.

You may be facing liver cancer.

You know, when Dodie got that diagnosed metastatic cancer of the liver, that metastatic meant spreading, it must have.

And they couldn't find the primary tumor and, be honest, they quit trying because they saw that her liver was fully inflamed and gave her weeks to live 89 pounds.

I saw her.

She looked like death, warmed over Her pale week, could hardly talk, very, very weak.

And what did she do?

She just did everything a healed person would do.

She acted healed.

She wouldn't let herself go to bed in the daytime.

When the morning came, she got her kids off to school and she stayed up all day long.

She would not go back to bed even though she was so weak.

She might have sit down a little bit, sit down in the easy chair, but she mostly did housework.

She made herself work and then at night she'd sleep.

And she was so exhausted when she'd go to bed.

But she didn't go to bed early.

She made herself maintain Ellie.

She just did a lot of things.

She acted like a healed person.

When she didn't feel like it, she spoke the word constantly.

She had her healing scriptures.

They were everywhere she was in the house.

She had them up on the mirror.

She had pictures of herself riding the horse when she was younger and when she was healthy and vibrant, and all of that she'd look at.

She didn't like looking herself in the mirror.

She looked at pictures of herself when she felt good.

Oh, I tell you what you know.

You have every right.

You know the facts might be this, but the truth means you're healed and sooner or later the truth is gonna drive the facts out of your body and it did for her.

It took about two years, but it I mean we were there that day when they announced she's cancer-free.

Glory to God.

She's been talking about a glorious day, but she'd been saying it for two years.

Are you with me?

So that's see, that's right thinking.

You gotta have right thinking.

You can't be intimidated by the symptoms.

You can't close your mouth and quit speaking just because your body feels bad or what people will say.

You don't have to say it to everybody anyway.

It's important what you say.

Don't go to the doctor and say, oh, you're just lying to me, I know better, I'm healed.

Don't call the doctor a liar.

He's not a liar.

You paid him to find out what your body has got fighting it.

Those are the facts.

But the truth is you're healed.

You can always say and that's what I told the doctor one time with glad she broke her kneecap in two.

I said how long do we have before this kneecap tries to grow together?

And it's a surgery, it won't work very well.

He said well, you've got about three to four weeks and then after that it's gonna send little feelers and then when they try to wrap that in stainless steel wire and pull that kneecap back together, it's not gonna go together very good and you'll have a weak structure there.

I said well, the reason I'm asking is because we believe in divine healing.

We wanna give God every opportunity for divine healing to occur before we go through this surgery.

He said well, I respect that, and so that's what we did.

Are you with me now so you can talk to doctors respectfully, without calling them a liar?

They're not lying, they're just reporting the natural to you.

That's what you're paying them to do.

They'd be open to lawsuits if they didn't tell you what they saw.

But we've got a better report.

Amen, all right.

Number three so he was a right legal way, the right thinking.

And then number three believe in and speaking and acting on the truth will cause the facts to line up with the truth because of supernatural power.

Romans 1.16 says that the gospel is the power of God, or the dunamis of God, to everyone who believe it, to the Jew first and also to the Gentile.

So the gospel, the good news, what I'm preaching tonight is God's power.

It's the supernatural power.

What natural power?

You know?

Your body has a natural power that it can heal itself.

It's got natural ways of antibodies a fight infection.

It's got natural ways of your bones growing back together when they're broken.

There's all kinds of things.

It's got natural power.

But God's word, the good news that we're preaching tonight, has what supernatural power to kick out the squatters and the trespassers off of your land?

Because after all, that's what we're believing.

This is gonna be the greatest year yet.

Praise God, come on, let's lift our hands and receive tonight.
