  1. and live stream audience were glad you could be with us.

  2. Let's just lift our Bibles up and let's all say this together, make this confession Say Heavenly Father, I'm so glad you gave me the Bible.

  3. This Bible is a holy Bible.

  4. It's holy to me.

  5. I revere this book because it's you speaking to me.

  6. The Bible is my Heavenly Father speaking directly to me.

  7. I don't have to have a special word or a special preacher.

  8. I have your holy word and I'm so thankful for it.

  9. I base my life on the Word of God.

  10. Let God be true and every man a liar.

  11. I believe the Bible.

  12. The Bible said it.

  13. I believe it.

  14. That settles it in Jesus' name, amen.

  15. Well, you could give the Lord a big shout over that when I kind of got myself happy over that Maybe I'm the only one, I don't know, we'll see All right.

  16. Well, you know I warned you that we were gonna have healing Wednesdays, but I knew that it would spill over into Sunday mornings.

  17. I was doing it.

  18. I was doing it Because when I I'm kinda like a hound dog, you know, once I got a coon up a tree, I'm gonna, I'm gonna keep barking until I can't tell you.

  19. Tell either me or the coon wins.

  20. Okay, and so, praise God, I'm winning.

  21. Amen.

  22. Matthew, chapter eight.

  23. Some of you looking at me like a like you never heard of coon dogs and coon hunting.

  24. But this is the South.

  25. There's a lot of that going on, all right.

  26. Matthew, chapter eight, in verse 14.

  27. And when Jesus was coming to Peter's house, he saw his wife's mother laid sick of a fever, and he touched her hand and the fever left her and she arose and ministered unto them.

  28. One gospel says he rebuked the fever and it left.

  29. He rebuked the fever, like I actually talked to the fever.

  30. You know it's good to talk to symptoms, it's good to command symptoms.

  31. And so he touched her hand and the fever left her and she arose and ministered unto them.

  32. And when the evening was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with demons and he cast out the spirits with his word and healed all that were sick.

  33. That it might be fulfilled, which was spoken by Isaiah, the prophet, saying himself took our infirmities and bear our sicknesses.

  34. Now we've been dwelling on that verse on Wednesday nights.

  35. How many of you have been able to come on Wednesday nights, praise God, good number of you.

  36. And but here in these verses we see Jesus the healer.

  37. And Jesus healed Peter's mother-in-law, he healed and delivered the multitude, and it says that he was fulfilling Isaiah 53.

  38. When you read your little, if you have a study by, but it'll have a little letter by that himself fulfill, that was spoken.

  39. Himself took our infirmities, bear our sicknesses.

  40. It says that's Isaiah 53-4.

  41. And so what we've discovered in 1 Peter, 2, 24, that's also there.

  42. When you go to 1 Peter, well, peter's not writing to the Jews, he's writing to the church, and it says by whose stripes you were healed.

  43. We have a better covenant found on better promises and so, and so we were healed.

  44. We were healed the minute we got saved.

  45. We were healed.

  46. We just didn't.

  47. A lot of us didn't know it.

  48. Well, if we were healed, what in the world?

  49. And so today I wanted to talk about why Christians get sick.

  50. Why Christians get sick.

  51. If it's true that Jesus took our healing and carried our pains, that same time he took our sins and carried our iniquities, and that's the truth, isn't?

  52. It Isn't that what the word says, see, because those Hebrew words back in Isaiah 53 mean not just iniquities and sins, but it means pains and sin, or pains and diseases.

  53. I should say so it's the same sacrifice on the cross.

  54. As a matter of fact, he was made poor that we might be rich.

  55. So the same sacrifice that paid for our sins gave us a supply.

  56. Financially we have every right to have an abundant supply If we just learn how to operate according to the laws of sewing and reaping.

  57. In the kingdom finance laws there's certain laws, just like the law of gravity.

  58. If you cooperate with the spiritual laws that God has set forth in this book right here.

  59. And this book was written to.

  60. Who Say the book was written to me?

  61. A lot of people just think it's written to somebody.

  62. No, it's for me, and so then you can have.

  63. There's no reason why you have to suffer financially.

  64. There's no reason why you have to suffer with sickness and disease any more than you suffer with sin.

  65. You know one thing about it if we have sin in our lives, you know we're really ready to get that taken care of, and nobody.

  66. If you're really saved, you hate sin.

  67. And if you fall into sin for any reason, I mean if you violate the law of love or you do something that immediately your conscience hurts you, and then if you're well trained, you're gonna say oh Lord, I missed it, I'm sorry.

  68. And you don't carry that thing around, you get it under the blood.

  69. Well, we can do the same thing with symptoms.

  70. We can do the same thing with lack.

  71. Really, if you really wanna know the truth, are you with me now?

  72. Don't shout me down just cause I'm preaching really good here.

  73. Why Christians get sick?

  74. Well, pastor, I don't even like that that you use that nomenclature.

  75. Why are you getting ahold of some of the things I'm saying now?

  76. See, because sick Christians are.

  77. That's completely out of order.

  78. It shouldn't be.

  79. It shouldn't be.

  80. That'd be like saying why are so many Christian sinners?

  81. Well, those are incompatible.

  82. You can't be a Christian and be a sinner.

  83. Remember when Raphael Cruz was here, boy, he hit that real hard.

  84. You know people going around saying, well, I'm just an old sinner saved by grace.

  85. No, you're not Boy, he got it animated on that Cause.

  86. You know why he hears that so many places.

  87. He hears that lie so many.

  88. No, we were sinners, but now we've been saved, we're in the household of God.

  89. Fine to say I was a sinner, but you, that's over with now.

  90. Praise God.

  91. And so now you're a saint as far as the Bible's concerned.

  92. St John of Champions praise God All right.

  93. So we see it's clear that healing belongs to the church just as much as salvation does, and so this truth begs the question why then do Christians get sick, since Jesus bore our sicknesses?

  94. Why do we encounter sickness at all?

  95. Are there reasons from this Word, this Bible that was written to you?

  96. Are there reasons that we can find in here that will tell us and give us the answer to that question?

  97. Why do Christians get sick and, more specifically, why does this Christian get sick?

  98. See, I'm not interested in instructing you about sister so and so over here, or brother so and so.

  99. I'm interested in you seeing something out of the Word that'll help you, because the Word is not here to condemn you, the Word is here to help you.

  100. I like what Brother Osteen used to say on a regular Bible.

  101. What does he say on a regular basis?

  102. And I don't say it enough, but God doesn't see failures, he just sees learners.

  103. Amen, thank you, lord.

  104. I said God doesn't see failures, he sees learners.

  105. He wants you to learn, he wants to teach you, he wants to bring you up to the next level.

  106. We all have a level, and then God wants to keep bringing us up into another level, another level, another level of unfolding revelation of his love.

  107. God is love, see.

  108. This is why the Old Testament I've seen people just read the Old Testament, read the Old Testament.

  109. There was no revelation of God's love in the Old Testament, even though God said I will love thee.

  110. And Deuteronomy seven we read that Wednesday night.

  111. He told the children of Israel, right before they went into the Promised Land to possess their land.

  112. He said and the Lord, thy God, will love thee.

  113. See that I love covenant.

  114. But they didn't know it.

  115. That was not emphasized.

  116. What was emphasized was the judgment side of God, the mean side of God, and wrongly ascribed to him were death and destruction and curses.

  117. They wrongly ascribed those things to God.

  118. That God did it, and I've made the case.

  119. Oh, god didn't do it.

  120. Who did it?

  121. Well, the devil did it.

  122. Satan and his demon powers do it, and so we need to understand that.

  123. So, since it is the case, why do we encounter sickness at all?

  124. Why are there reasons from God's Word that can help us see the solution?

  125. See, god doesn't see failures, and whatever I preach today, if you see yourself in it, I'm not here to condemn you and I'm not here to look down my nose at you, like you, poor little thing.

  126. I mean, listen, we're all learning, amen, amen.

  127. And God doesn't graduate anybody.

  128. I don't know of anybody that graduated from the Holy Ghost Academy.

  129. You know we can all progress.

  130. We can all learn a little bit more than we had before.

  131. We can all receive more revelation.

  132. We can all grow in faith.

  133. You know Paul told the Thessalonians your faith grows exceedingly.

  134. You know we can keep going up the ladder.

  135. We can get stronger and stronger.

  136. We go from faith to faith and glory to glory, from strength to strength.

  137. But every one of those places of growth is a change.

  138. It requires a change.

  139. It's as if we have many, many Jordan rivers at flood stage that we're gonna have to cross.

  140. I mean, israel only had one and they got right up to it and they said, ah man, those cities are too big, got rivers too wide, forget about it.

  141. And they stayed over in the wilderness 40 more years.

  142. Wilderness is a type and shadow of the comfort zone.

  143. Some people are just in a comfort zone.

  144. They don't see the need to grow, they don't see the need to have more.

  145. Well, listen, we're living in the last days.

  146. We're all gonna have to be on our A game.

  147. Listen, there's gonna come a multitude of brand new baby Christians into the church and then Jesus is gonna come and get us all out of here.

  148. We're gonna be so busy, I can't tell you enough.

  149. We're gonna be so busy.

  150. We're gonna have to have something to give these little babies.

  151. Yeah, I watched the Nat Geo.

  152. You know some of those animal shows and of course they're all in bond with evolution and global warming doctrines.

  153. You have to spit all that out.

  154. I just like to watch the animals.

  155. They had these birds, these birds living in the desert, and these birds, they've got these chicks.

  156. They've got a nest full of chicks and there's no water.

  157. So the birds have to fly.

  158. Oh man, they had to fly for miles to get to this little bit of water out in the middle of the desert.

  159. They know where the water is.

  160. It's miles from their nest.

  161. Why wouldn't they have a nest closer?

  162. I don't know what the answer is, but anyway.

  163. So they get there, and then there's other bigger birds that eat them.

  164. They swoop down and catch them, you know, and now they're served up as food for the bigger birds.

  165. But finally, you know, mama and daddy will finally dodge the bigger birds and they'll get down in that water and they just kind of drink themselves and then they just kind of flutter and what they do is they hold the water in their breast feathers and they get so heavy with water they can barely fly and they fly back to the nest and the little chicks get up in there and they get their little beaks nestled up in the feathers, you know, and they just drink.

  166. Are we gonna have any water for all those little babies that are gonna be coming in here?

  167. I mean, we gotta drink.

  168. Let's do more drinking, less thinking.

  169. All right, so here we go.

  170. Three reasons.

  171. There's others, but I wanted to get these three main reasons.

  172. How many of you are interested in hearing it?

  173. Amen.

  174. Three main reasons for sickness to occur, and the first one on my list is demon powers.

  175. Everybody say demon powers.

  176. Notice, I didn't say the devil.

  177. See, there's only one devil.

  178. He can only be at one place at one time and the devil is not your problem because he doesn't even know you exist.

  179. Okay, he's already delegated you to one of his minor demons, one of these little purple, about a half inch tall, harry looking thing that you wouldn't think anything about.

  180. It's amazing what these little demons can do, how they whisper in your ear and how they burrow into your body and create trouble.

  181. But demon powers, ephesians, chapter six, tells us that we need to put on the whole armor of God.

  182. We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers, rulers of darkness of this world, wicked spirits and the heavenlies.

  183. Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand in the evil day.

  184. And it talks about the pieces of the armor, the shield of faith wherewith you're able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

  185. Helmet of salvation.

  186. Shield, you know, the breastplate of righteousness, so forth and so on, all the whole armor of God.

  187. How do you put that on?

  188. By faith?

  189. It's in the book, it's written for you.

  190. Here's your weapons.

  191. Here's some of them are defensive, but one of them, the Word of God, is the sign of the Word of God.

  192. The Word of God is the sword of the spirit, it's the offensive weapon.

  193. And so you've got weapons, the weapons of your warfare, and they're not carnal but they're mighty through God.

  194. So we've talked about this briefly on Wednesday night, but I wanna say it again.

  195. You know, when you go to the doctor, many times.

  196. They want a medical history from you.

  197. You've gotta sit down and they're gonna ask you well, you know how old are you, and so forth and so on.

  198. And they'll ask you about your parents, you know, are they still alive?

  199. Oh, they're not, they're gone.

  200. Okay, what age did they die?

  201. Do you have a history of heart disease and cancer?

  202. You just go down the list of all the different diseases that are in your family line.

  203. See, there's diseases in everybody's family line.

  204. Why is that?

  205. Well, because from the fall, that's when sickness and disease got an entrance into the world Everyone is born lost.

  206. There's nobody born saved, except Gladys.

  207. She was born saved, she was, she was born saved.

  208. Where is God?

  209. No, she has a testimony.

  210. Amen, amen.

  211. She has a testimony.

  212. Amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen.

  213. No, I you know where, since you came out of the womb as a subject of Satan.

  214. You came out as that.

  215. You came out under the heel of the enemy, this little innocent baby.

  216. I'm not saying babies go to hell.

  217. They, god, don't lose children, okay, but they get to the age of accountability.

  218. What age is that?

  219. I don't know what age it is, but I mean, I saw my kids get saved at a young age.

  220. I mean, jay was sitting in church and started weeping over his sins at age five.

  221. Wow, he came under conviction and I took him home and we prayed the sinner's prayer and he just, you know, he's been, he's saved ever since.

  222. Live for God.

  223. We tried to enforce that on Claire but she wasn't ready to.

  224. We just had her pray the sinner's prayer and she said it as an obedient daughter but she didn't mean it, she didn't know what it meant and we just thought she was saved until she got a couple of years older.

  225. Then she got convicted.

  226. She woke up in the middle of the night, weeping and crying and afraid and, oh my God, and it was.

  227. I told Glenn she's under conviction and she got saved, went back and slept all night long.

  228. Praise God had to get baptized.

  229. The second time we had her baptized the first time didn't take Because she wasn't saved.

  230. Baptism is the immersion in water of a born again Christian.

  231. She hadn't been born again.

  232. Why did she have that reaction?

  233. Because she became aware that she was in the wrong kingdom.

  234. She got convicted.

  235. We make sure that our children are in here in glorious way, in children church, are in an atmosphere where they can, where they can just seamlessly go from innocence of childhood right into the kingdom and they don't have to walk out of here and live for the devil for any length of time at all.

  236. I just believe little children can just go right into the kingdom of God and be so innocent all the way through the process.

  237. They don't have to go out into the world and sin and do all kinds of so your wild oats no, that's a bunch of baloney, yeah baloney, yeah baloney.

  238. But because we are, then we're under the lordship of Satan and his minions, and so sickness and disease come into play.

  239. I told the crowd Wednesday night it took the devil 2,000 years to bring sickness into the human race.

  240. Because if you look back, I mean, adam lived to be 960 something, you had Methuselah and you had all these guys you know that were close to Adam, adam's line.

  241. Even Noah lived to be 960 years old, and then life span started shortening and shortening and shorting until they got to 200.

  242. And then 175, abraham, and then 150, and then a hunt.

  243. You know, now it's whatever it is.

  244. Now I think the oldest person on earth that I know about is, I think, 112 or something, and so we're designed to live longer than we're living.

  245. I think the devil has a way to get sickness and iniquity and even sins and tendencies into families.

  246. And then you have mother and her family line and daddy and her family line getting together, producing an offspring.

  247. Now that offspring has got two fountains of DNA that are coming to meet in this one child with various from what we call familiar spirits.

  248. These are assigned to families.

  249. I said they're assigned to families and the evidence that they carry with them many times are mental deficiencies, all kinds of mental trouble.

  250. For instance, I've seen suicide decimate a particular family line.

  251. There would be.

  252. If you look at that family line, there's three or four members of that family committed suicide.

  253. Well, that's not an accident, that's a familiar spirit, that's a doom and power that when we wake up and understand who we are in Christ, we can take authority over that thing and stop that thing right now.

  254. This far, no further.

  255. You're not coming another step in my family it ends right now because I have received.

  256. I'm a new creature.

  257. See, legally we're a new creature.

  258. When we got saved, we're new creatures.

  259. We don't have to put up with this tendency of diseases and even if you don't have a disease like your parents had or your family line.

  260. It's a tendency in your DNA, a physical tendency, so it's kind of good to know that, so you'll know what to stop.

  261. Don't get intimidated by finding out certain issues in your family and just use your faith to come against that and say no, it can't come any further now because I've changed kingdoms.

  262. I'm no longer in Satan's kingdom.

  263. I've been delivered from the power and authority, jurisdiction and control of all darkness and I've been translated into the kingdom of his dear son.

  264. Colossians one, 12, 13, 14.

  265. This Bible's written to you.

  266. I said it's written to you.

  267. You don't have to put up with what your family line says.

  268. You have to enforce your deliverance by faith in the finished work of the cross.

  269. Well, how do I do that?

  270. Revelation 12, 11 says they overcame him by the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony Amen.

  271. In other words, your confession about what the blood has purchased for you.

  272. And the blood has purchased for you a brand new DNA.

  273. I love what brother Mark was talking about when he was here he talked about.

  274. He talked about molecular remission.

  275. Now his little grandson, dylan, was diagnosed with leukemia and so he went through some treatments and so forth, went into remission for a little while.

  276. Then it came back.

  277. That's the pattern of that particular disease and that's why they never talk about healing in medical circles.

  278. They never talk about remission, in other words temporary, but remission for our benefit.

  279. Remission means that our sins have been washed away and there's no evidence of them ever having been there.

  280. But we forget about the same idea.

  281. If Jesus took our sin, he did the same thing with the sicknesses that are in our family line.

  282. Legally, there's no reason for you to have anything left over from your mother and dad or grandpa or anybody else.

  283. You've had molecular remission.

  284. So, anyway, the treatment for this disease was a bone marrow transplant, and he's a twin, and his twin was not as good a donor of a bone marrow as his older brother.

  285. And so his older brother agreed okay, yeah, I'll give my and that's not an easy procedure.

  286. It's pretty painful for an older brother to do that and so the doctor said okay, now we're gonna have to take and destroy all of your bone marrow.

  287. We're gonna have to destroy your DNA.

  288. Now, dylan, everybody wave goodbye to Dylan.

  289. That is creepy, it is amen.

  290. And they erased his DNA and that meant they took away all of his immune system Very vulnerable.

  291. This is when you can die.

  292. The treatment can kill you because you're so susceptible to disease.

  293. And look at a hospital it's full of disease.

  294. Hey, have you looked around?

  295. There's staff infections, there's every kind of thing in the world in a hospital.

  296. You wanna go get intimately acquainted with demons?

  297. Go to the hospital.

  298. They're walking up and down the hall and here he is, and so this is the treatment.

  299. This is where he.

  300. So they took him as a goodbye, dylan.

  301. And then when they introduced the new bone marrow, the stem cells and all that, they injected that in there and the doctor came in and said, oh, it took.

  302. And he began to regenerate his bone marrow and his DNA changed to be identical with his brother's DNA so that if he his brother committed a crime and they collected DNA on the crime scene, dylan could be convicted of the crime.

  303. Isn't that creepy?

  304. You gotta really trust your older brother.

  305. And his hair changed color and his voice changed, his laughter changed, he started adopting more of the traits of his older brother and his twin.

  306. It's a twin and he ceases to resemble the twin.

  307. I mean, it's just.

  308. It's amazing.

  309. We are molecularly identical to Jesus.

  310. We've been given a molecular remission.

  311. We have nothing in common with our former Lord and master.

  312. He can't put sickness and disease on us.

  313. Then why do we have it?

  314. Because he's the lawless one.

  315. He's the liar and the father of lies.

  316. He's trying to get you to agree with him.

  317. And if you start speaking it and adopting it and saying, well, my cancer, I've got cancer.

  318. No, you don't have cancer.

  319. See, start being professional in your confession.

  320. Don't own anything the devil gives you.

  321. Don't say it's yours, it's not yours.

  322. Are you with me now?

  323. Is this helping anybody?

  324. So you renounce these familiar spirits and soul type.

  325. What do I mean by soul type?

  326. Well, I just.

  327. You can't divorce your family.

  328. You love your mother and father.

  329. You love your brothers and sisters.

  330. It's not about turning away from them, it just means that you're no longer in that family line for the devil to attack you.

  331. That's all it means.

  332. So you simply, by faith and your confession in private, don't go to your brother and say, well, I renounce you, I'm no longer your brother.

  333. That's not gonna help.

  334. At Thanksgiving time, you might not get any turkey, you might get the fork anyway.

  335. So so just take hold of what I'm saying and begin to your faith in the blood of Jesus, this new spiritual DNA.

  336. Give you another example In 2013, brother Ed Defraind.

  337. Dr Defraind was here.

  338. He's a wonderful man of God.

  339. He's in heaven now, but the last time he was here he ministered to Gladys along these lines and he had, he took authority over a demon spirit, which was kind of disturbing and that would have been something that would have been nice to do, in private, I think, but he's, you know, if you know Dr Defraind, I mean, he's a case and he felt so comfortable here, he loved us so much, he took his liberty and he knew that whatever he saw go ahead Just under the anointing, because under the anointing, when you're under the anointing, sometimes you say things that are a little bit whoa, and so we weren't offended.

  340. It just that I know that people that had questions what in the world, what's wrong with Gladys?

  341. Why would she have trouble with demons?

  342. And so after the service, I said what did you see?

  343. He said, oh, it's just a little.

  344. We dealt with it already.

  345. I just felt it and I hope it's okay.

  346. It was premature death.

  347. It was a spirit in her family line, premature death, and it was like, you know, wow, I could have had a V8.

  348. You remember one of those moments Wow, I could have had a V8.

  349. I went, wow, why didn't I see that?

  350. Why didn't we see that?

  351. Because that's absolutely true.

  352. Her father died at 49 of a massive heart attack.

  353. She has two sisters just older than her.

  354. They both died in their 30s.

  355. She had three cousins that died before they were 50.

  356. And you start adding up all of the early deaths and all of that and you should have been able to feel, hey, this is a tendency that runs in this family.

  357. I've got to say, hey, this far and no further, I'm exempt from that.

  358. And then, since then, you know she's battled.

  359. I mean we don't mind telling you, I mean we live our lives in front of you.

  360. And the next year she fell and broke her hips.

  361. See, hip fractures can kill you.

  362. She began to have to battle dizziness and had to battle, and she went through a whole battle for over a year.

  363. On all that, after that word came and we did do battle with it.

  364. But I mean, you know, if we hadn't really battled it, if we didn't know who we were in Christ, if we hadn't put the stop sign up, she might have been in heaven by now.

  365. Why?

  366. Because the devil is trying to.

  367. He's not trying to give you a bad hair day, he's trying to interrupt your ministry, trying to get you off the earth.

  368. You're a threat to his kingdom.

  369. Are you with me now?

  370. Glory, come on, let's lift our hands.

  371. Thank God, we've been delivered.

  372. Everybody say molecular remission.

  373. I mean, you're identical to Jesus.

  374. Yes, man, that's just so powerful.

  375. All right.

  376. Number two reason for sickness to occur is disobedience.

  377. That seems to be pretty standard.

  378. We like Mark 11, 23,.

  379. Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed, be thou cast in the sea, shall not doubt in his heart that shall believe those things which you say or shall come to pass.

  380. He shall have whatsoever he saith.

  381. Therefore, what things, whoever you desire, when you pray, believe you receive him and you shall have them.

  382. Mark 11, 23, and 24, within verse 25, and when you stand praying, forgive you have ought against any.

  383. We forget about verse 25.

  384. When you stand praying, forgive if you have ought against any, so that your heavenly father can forgive you, the implication being that he won't forgive you and it will stop up your declaration, it will stop up your faith.

  385. It was as if faith works by love.

  386. So that's kind of obvious.

  387. We have a love covenant, we have a commandment of love, so we have to walk in love.

  388. It's not optional and we can do it or otherwise.

  389. God would be unrighteous to command us to do something that we can't do.

  390. We can do it.

  391. It's a matter of choice.

  392. Remember when I said this word is written to you.

  393. Praise God, word to you.

  394. Let's hold our Bibles up again Now put it in front of you like this.

  395. Now open it up.

  396. Did you know that's a mirror?

  397. The Bible is a mirror.

  398. You can see who you are in its pages.

  399. How many of you ever leave the house without looking in the mirror?

  400. It's kind of dangerous, especially when you're my age, I mean, if I, there have been days when I just rushed out of the house and I didn't spend any time in front of the mirror and I didn't know that I had a one inch gray hair sticking out of my ear, you know, and it's flopping in the breeze.

  401. If I'd gone to the mirror I could have at least seen that, perhaps, and dealt with it.

  402. I mean, you know, when you get my age and I'm a runger all the time, I'm just getting younger and younger.

  403. I mean the whiskers tend to come in bright silver and they glow in the sunlight.

  404. I'm driving down the road.

  405. Gladys is looking over there.

  406. Oh honey, you missed a few whiskers.

  407. I said well, thank you for telling me.

  408. Now I don't have a razor with me in the truck.

  409. It's good to look in the mirror.

  410. I mean, the mirror is your friend.

  411. The mirror is not there to condemn you.

  412. I know some of you might feel that way.

  413. Don't take it like that.

  414. This is how you turn, this is how you turned out.

  415. Just deal with it.

  416. This is how you turned out when you look in the mirror.

  417. This is how you turned out.

  418. Be glad, be glad?

  419. No, but it is.

  420. We can find out, if there are, you know, to examine ourselves according to the Word.

  421. I mean, I like to sit down and read my Bible and I like to invite the Holy Spirit to shine His light on the Word and give me areas that I need to adjust.

  422. I need to make adjustments, I need to make changes, because we don't always know ourselves.

  423. If we're sensitive, we will know in our spirit when we've crossed the line.

  424. But you know, it's just safety when we have the Word to reinforce every day.

  425. See when you put the Word aside and you don't put it first place, well, then God doesn't have any access to you.

  426. Well, I thought the Holy Ghost?

  427. Well, yeah, but you're not doing your part.

  428. See, there again, you're putting more emphasis on the Spirit of God than you are.

  429. The Word of God, and the Word of God is really all about Lordship.

  430. You can't say Jesus is Lord if the Word is not Lord, and Lord means boss, lord means top of the list, not at the bottom, and I've noticed in over 35 years of ministering people for maybe longer.

  431. I mean, people start off really really way up here, like this, by reading their Bible, and then it starts to slip and next thing, you know it's hardly at all, because they already read the Bible and they think they know it.

  432. Faith cometh not by having heard, only by hearing and hearing and hearing.

  433. You have to hear it every day, you have to see it every day.

  434. You have a tend to it every day.

  435. Put it first place every day.

  436. Would you really tell God?

  437. Okay, I'm gonna put you last place today, forgive me.

  438. Well, that's not a very effective way to live.

  439. That's not best practices.

  440. Are you with me now?

  441. So the Word is a mirror and it belongs.

  442. In first place.

  443. Let's examine ourselves.

  444. The man we talked about last week at the pool of the Sata, who had been lame 38 years, and Jesus came up to him and said are you willing to be made whole?

  445. And he said, sir, I have no man.

  446. And he said rise, take up your bed and walk.

  447. And later on he saw him in the temple.

  448. He said go your way and sin no more.

  449. Go and sin no more less.

  450. The worst thing happened to you.

  451. So evidently sin had entered into this man and crippled him for 38 years.

  452. And at least he realized the first place he needed to go after he was healed was the temple.

  453. I mean, he didn't go throw a party, he didn't go to Mardi Gras down at Galveston, no, he went to the temple.

  454. And Jesus had to.

  455. Hey, you know what?

  456. You better get that dealt with.

  457. You better put the stop, sign up, or a worse thing can happen to you.

  458. So then the causes of sickness.

  459. Of course, that can be demonic powers, but they can also be places where we've opened the door through disobedience in one form or fashion.

  460. And we need, you know, to Romans 12, one and two, you know.

  461. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercy of God that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, as your spiritual worship.

  462. It's your duty to do that.

  463. It's worship to keep your body.

  464. Your body's the temple of the holy ghost, so you ought to keep your body.

  465. You ought to keep your body holy, separate it from the things that you're doing.

  466. Keep your body holy, separate it from the things of this world.

  467. You know, don't look at everything that comes your way.

  468. I mean, turn your eyes away from some of this garbage.

  469. Flick the channel right away, get the flicker in your hand and flick it real quick.

  470. That could be better just to record stuff and watch that.

  471. That way it's safer.

  472. You just never know what's going to come across.

  473. Anymore, it doesn't even matter whether it's network television.

  474. All semblance of any kind of decency.

  475. Give you the Super Bowl.

  476. That was the most gosh awful half time in the world and it just should not be allowed.

  477. That's kind of stuff is just not right.

  478. There's no family friendly anything anymore.

  479. Even the cartoon network is trying to indoctrinate the children and all this garbage that we're seeing.

  480. Are you with me now?

  481. So ignorance is the last one.

  482. Disobedience.

  483. You know, let's get old.

  484. Before I leave that, let me talk about Brother Hagin, and that I was mentioning Brother Hagin and the voice of healing days.

  485. There was a preacher, a certain I won't mention his name, but there was a certain preacher who was just probably the most outstanding of all that group, who had the most amazing miracles.

  486. Brother Hagin said I saw one time that he had 15 people in the wheelchair section and every one of them got up and walked out of their wheelchairs and it just amazing miracles.

  487. And at that point this preacher stopped the service and received an offering.

  488. Now you gotta be careful.

  489. I mean, every ministry is worthy of offerings, worthy of taking offerings.

  490. There's nothing wrong with that.

  491. But if you're going to position the offering time in the middle of when God is healing people, that's pretty, that's really not right.

  492. You're taking advantage of people who are desperate.

  493. They would take anything and you leak.

  494. You leak what they're giving to what God is doing and you've just really done wrong.

  495. And he was doing that on a regular basis.

  496. So how would Brother Hagin know that?

  497. Well, the Holy Ghost came to Brother Hagin.

  498. Brother Hagin's a prophet and, frankly, brother Hagin was never comfortable with being a prophet.

  499. He didn't like knowing certain things and God informed him about the sin of another minister.

  500. That by itself is judgment.

  501. God doesn't talk to other people about your private life unless you put the mirror up.

  502. If you fold the mirror up and put it up and you don't ever look at it, god's not gonna let you go down that road very long.

  503. He's gonna warn somebody to go, warn you, that's right.

  504. And they might warn you without knowing they're warning you, like in a message like this I might be warning you and I don't know anything about what's going on.

  505. Well, go ahead and listen and make the adjustment, but if you resist again, then somewhere down the line God's gonna warn somebody and say go to so and so.

  506. That's what he did with Brother Hagin.

  507. He said go to so and so and tell him to judge himself in three areas, because if he doesn't, he's gonna come to.

  508. I'm gonna let him come to heaven early.

  509. He didn't say I'm gonna kill him.

  510. What's gonna happen?

  511. Well, you're opening the door to Satan to end your life.

  512. He said judge yourself.

  513. Tell him to judge himself in three areas.

  514. Judge himself in his diet.

  515. He weighed 400 pounds.

  516. He was huge Gluttony, eat, eat, eat.

  517. Number two.

  518. Judge himself in his love walk.

  519. He was arrogant, condescending, rude and so on, especially to his staff.

  520. Yeah, and so judge yourself in that your love walk.

  521. And then, finally, you know, judge yourself on money, because you are taking advantage of the anointing to raise funds and that's not what it's for.

  522. You know you'd separate the two.

  523. Well, brother Hagin tried, and so one particular day he saw the guy I guess now's the time.

  524. He didn't wanna do it.

  525. He went over, started toward him and the guy was in his car and another car drove up and they were talking to each other, you know, driver door to driver door, in a parking lot, and before he could get to him, well, the other guy left and he left and he never saw him until he got very ill and he later died, about a year later of a terrible disease.

  526. So he was invited, all the voice of healing ministers came to a meeting especially to pray for him.

  527. And Gordon Lindsay gets up, says well, you know, our brother so and so, is very ill.

  528. If God doesn't intervene, he's gonna go to heaven.

  529. We just need his voice.

  530. He's only 39 years old.

  531. We need his ministry.

  532. Brother Hagin, come on up and take the microphone and pray for him.

  533. And so, brother Hagin, I'm gonna go to the meeting and take the microphone and pray for him.

  534. And so brother Hagin, you know, starts getting up and he gets out to the aisle and the Holy Ghost said what are you doing?

  535. And he stopped and he knew he couldn't pray.

  536. I said he knew he couldn't pray, pastor.

  537. You mean, he couldn't know he couldn't pray.

  538. It's too late.

  539. He got up and he looked on and he didn't judge himself.

  540. And who was responsible for that?

  541. The devil, not God.

  542. God tried to warn him.

  543. God had the mirror for him all along.

  544. All he had to do was read the mirror.

  545. But like a lot of preachers, they don't look at the mirror.

  546. They just too busy preaching.

  547. Well, that's not the same as looking in the mirror.

  548. I have to look in the mirror.

  549. I can't just preach.

  550. I've got to study, I've got to receive for myself on my own life, my own level.

  551. Are y'all with me now?

  552. And so, anyway, somehow he didn't ever went up there, never took the microphone, never prayed.

  553. They dismissed the service and Aretha, his wife, says Kenneth, what did the Holy Ghost tell you?

  554. I want to know what.

  555. You stopped up.

  556. You stopped on your way up there.

  557. You didn't.

  558. I know the Holy Ghost spoke to you and she hit and he did listen.

  559. He keeps secrets.

  560. He did not tell Aretha she was not on a need to know basis of this information.

  561. She did not need to know about this other man's sin and what was in the balance and he never told her.

  562. But he told her after it was over with.

  563. Well, god told me a year ago to warn him about these three things and I just never got tried but I never could get to it.

  564. He found out later, a couple of months later, that other men of God went to him and met with him and warned him and he didn't do anything.

  565. God is faithful.

  566. I'm telling you God is faithful.

  567. I said God is faithful.

  568. He doesn't see failures, he sees learners.

  569. He's doing everything he can to keep us in health and strength.

  570. The last point is ignorance.

  571. I used to hear Brother Norval Hayes say this all the time God cannot bless ignorance.

  572. He can't bless ignorance.

  573. God can't bless a mess.

  574. He blesses divine order.

  575. He blesses knowledge.

  576. He blesses humility, ignorance.

  577. And ignorance has got three aspects.

  578. First of all, complete ignorance.

  579. Somebody there's a lot of church people don't know anything about their covenant of healing and that doesn't make them exempt.

  580. I mean ignorance is no excuse.

  581. Why?

  582. Because God has given them the same Bible he's gave you.

  583. Brother Hagin sat in a church that didn't believe in healing and he got his healing.

  584. If God did it for Brother Hagin, he'll do it for anybody.

  585. So it's not a matter that you can go to God and say, well, I didn't know.

  586. Well, you know, you should have, you should have known.

  587. And so ignorance it can be complete, it can be partial, you can know enough to be dangerous.

  588. Well, that's dangerous.

  589. And then the last one is ignorance, ignorance, ignorance.

  590. In other words, you know some things but you let it slip.

  591. You let it slide, you have other priorities.

  592. There are too many other things to get involved with.

  593. In America that's pretty easy to do, because there's stuff going on all the time and we get so busy with life that we let these things slip.

  594. And if you happen to be a person that's got a lousy DNA that you have implanted in you, you know the only way around that is to lift your faith and start to rebuke all those elements of tendencies that you have toward cancer, toward diabetes, toward whatever bipolar disease.

  595. But you know all of these different afflictions that people suffer in the church, that they should not suffer.

  596. Because why?

  597. Because Jesus took them and he carried them.

  598. So the result is that some people put up with symptoms and then they have more symptoms and the next thing you know they're in hospital.

  599. The next thing you know they've got a surgery.

  600. The next thing they know they've got to live with the side effects of the surgery.

  601. Sometimes they get secondary infections.

  602. Go into the hospital.

  603. See, it's just like a never ending train, a train wreck that can be stopped the quicker you recognize and don't ignore any longer.

  604. Now I'm not trying to beat anybody up and I'm not trying to say, if you're been diagnosed with a serious disease, that you're at fault.

  605. I'm trying to help you with the Word of God to stop it right where it is and not let it progress.

  606. Don't worry about what you didn't do yesterday and the day before.

  607. Start today and renew a commitment that you're going to put your hand up and say no, no more.

  608. Submit yourself, therefore, to God.

  609. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

  610. We can plug in.

  611. Resist the devil, resist sickness, resist pain, resist disease.

  612. Resist pain Glad, it's not both.

  613. We resist every time we come to church.

  614. We resist every time we get up and walk across the room.

  615. We resist certain tendencies that are trying to come against us because we're not going to give in to it.

  616. That's right, amen, amen, praise God, praise God.

  617. So we put on the shield of faith, we put on the whole armor of God and we engage the devil with our confession.

  618. We start speaking, and that's a whole other subject.

  619. We need to speak right, but then there are some things that we need to do on the other side, our side, which is take care of our temple.

  620. Amen, you know.

  621. In other words, get some rest.

  622. Quit going to bed at one o'clock in the morning, getting up at three.

  623. That's not enough rest, Amen.

  624. You know, brother Defrain came up with cancer a few years ago.

  625. He went to the Lord.

  626. Okay, how, where'd I open the door?

  627. He said you don't get enough rest.

  628. You're just working seven days a week.

  629. You're either flying to a meeting, flying back from a meeting.

  630. You're working, working, working.

  631. You don't get enough rest.

  632. You've over scheduled your life.

  633. Brother Osteen went to God about some symptoms he had.

  634. He was struggling in his health and the Holy Ghost said the thing that's crushing the life out of you is not what I've called you to do, it's the things you've added to it.

  635. Ow, ow, that left a mark.

  636. Ouch, you see, we can just add, add, add.

  637. We can over schedule our lives.

  638. We can get so busy with life that we don't have any time for God.

  639. We don't have any time for ourselves.

  640. We don't rest enough, we don't eat right.

  641. We eat at midnight Big old pile of fried chicken.

  642. Now instead of chicken and waffles we got chicken and donuts.

  643. That is a wonderful.

  644. I would love give me a big old order of chicken and donuts, wings and donuts for me, fried and butter.

  645. Woo, woo.

  646. Everything's better with butter, pork, fat rules.

  647. I know I'm hitting a nerve there, woo, hitting a nerve.

  648. When I got out of the hospital, I was so white I mean I went and got some bronze cream and put it on my face because it's all about looking in the mirror.

  649. I mean, what I was seeing was not the glory, it was bright.

  650. All right, it was bright white.

  651. So, pastor, I can't believe.

  652. Well, you want to look as good as you can look.

  653. I mean, at least I do.

  654. I don't know about you, but I do.

  655. But I went to the Lord.

  656. I said I'm willing to change.

  657. What is it that I need to change, because I don't want another triple bypass, I don't want another stint in the ICU ever again.

  658. Thank God for what they did for me and helped me, but I don't want to go back.

  659. And what is it that I can change?

  660. What did I miss?

  661. Where am I missing it?

  662. And I was still weak as water.

  663. I still could hardly walk down the street.

  664. I mean, I was walking to the end of the block and coming back and falling into a chair on the driveway in the sunlight, just exhausted, and it's amazing how all my legs went out from under me in just a short time.

  665. And I didn't have a heart attack.

  666. I didn't go in the hospital weak, I didn't go in the hospital in distress, I just had a blockage.

  667. I had no symptoms.

  668. And so how in the world can a just a seven and a half hour surgery take everything out of you like it did?

  669. Well, you know, I don't know how many blood units I used up, but quite a few, but anyway, I asked the Lord.

  670. He just said this.

  671. He said 30 years of battle scars.

  672. At that time I'd been in the ministry 30 years.

  673. That was my 30th anniversary of ministry.

  674. He said 30 years of battle scars.

  675. And I thought about that.

  676. I thought about a scar.

  677. What is a scar?

  678. A scar is what's left over from a wound.

  679. And I thought what am I doing?

  680. Getting wounded?

  681. What am I doing, allowing something to come into my heart and in my body and leaving a wound, an open wound that has to heal and leave a mark and leave a scar?

  682. I mean, I have the whole armor of God on it.

  683. It should never get past my shield of faith.

  684. It should never get past my breastplate.

  685. Okay, so it got past my shield, I've got a breastplate on.

  686. So see, I took ownership.

  687. I said I took ownership of the scars.

  688. I didn't listen, I didn't wear them as a, as a.

  689. Really, you know they're.

  690. They're there because of my own unbelief.

  691. They're there because of my own failure to apply the word like I preach it.

  692. And so you know, I had to.

  693. Just I had to.

  694. I had to realize.

  695. Well, where did that come from?

  696. Well, you know, you've got, when you deal with trouble, because churches are full of trouble, churches are full of conflict, and when you get too far into the conflict and then people start shooting back at you which they do you've got to pray and then you've got to let God do the battle.

  697. You can't, you can't enter in very far.

  698. You've got to let the Holy Ghost do your fighting for you.

  699. You've heard that the words as the battle is the Lord's.

  700. Well, you know, I think it battled with John Griners.

  701. I think I had too much, you know, input into the battle.

  702. Amen, are you with me now?

  703. Stress I can remember some Sundays going home and my chest is just because of the conflict you preach and it's coming back in your face and the lack of agreement.

  704. I don't have that anymore.

  705. I mean, I'm so proud of you because I but if I did, I wouldn't care a lick.

  706. God, you saw what I was dealing with today.

  707. I can't deal with that.

  708. You'll have to deal with that.

  709. Roll it over on him.

  710. It's his work, not mine.

  711. Well, we're going to go over to the Griners church.

  712. Well, it's not the Griners church, it's Jesus's church.

  713. Jesus, the head of the church, I'm way underneath you, I'm the under under shepherd.

  714. Are you with me now?

  715. So you know, get enough rest.

  716. You know I've made a conscious decision to get rid of stress, get rid of anything that's not my job to do, and to get rid of it.

  717. Don't have the care of it.

  718. Are you with me?

  719. Think about Paul.

  720. He said the care of the church is coming on me daily.

  721. Well, you know what?

  722. I don't have any care coming on me.

  723. I flat don't care.

  724. Amen.

  725. So the quickest way to change is to face reality.

  726. I had to face reality in my own life and ministry and I just I'm just here for the long haul.

  727. Are you with me?

  728. Praise God.

  729. So, as I preach these three things, just take this little checkup, take this little mirror and look into it and spend some time meditating along these lines and see what the Holy Spirit will show you about how to apply it in your own life.

  730. My purpose in preaching all of these messages is that this is the greatest year of your life, and that's got to be true in the health area.

  731. It must be true in your health.

  732. God cares about your health, amen.

  733. Come on, let's just praise him right now.

  734. Hallelujah, thank God.

  735. We know the enemy, we know his tactics.

  736. Hallelujah, we will not be deceived.

  737. Let's all stand together and make this confession Glory to God.

  738. Let's raise our hand to the Lord and let's just say this together Say Heavenly Father, I'm determined that 2020 is my greatest year yet.

  739. This Bible is God speaking to me.

  740. Everything I need to know about possessing my inheritance is in this Word.

  741. I'm a doer of the Word.

  742. I put the Word first place.

  743. I invite you, heavenly Father, to point out every area where I need to change.

  744. I'm making all the necessary adjustments to receive God's very best, especially in health.

  745. I've been adopted into God's very own family.

  746. I'm in Christ.

  747. Therefore, I'm blessed.

  748. I'm healthy.

  749. I overcome every obstacle.

  750. I defeat every demonic trespasser.

  751. In Jesus name, come on, let's praise him right now.

  752. Hallelujah.

  753. Glory to God.

  754. Glory to God, hallelujah.

  755. Thank you, lord, you can be seated.

  756. Praise God.
