  1. Let's try to stay connected with people that you used to visit with at church, and when you think about somebody and say I wonder how so and so is doing well, try to contact them if you don't have their number.

  2. You know, sometimes we hesitate to give people's contact information out on our side without their permission, but we haven't discussed this.

  3. But could we maybe just make an exception for this thing that we're in right now?

  4. I mean, you know, if you really want to, if you haven't been able to talk to somebody you normally talk to at church and they've on your heart, just call the office and I think we can probably give you their contact number.

  5. Okay, and I think we'll be forgiven for that, because where our heart is that everybody, there's nobody you know gets left out.

  6. We want to keep the circle tight and unbroken.

  7. May the circle go unbroken.

  8. Amen.

  9. All right, we've got something coming in US postal employees working overtime and they are, I mean you can imagine 12 plus hours a day.

  10. Father, we just lift up those wonderful postal employees, the ones we take for granted, coming by our mailbox, you know, six days a week, and here they are having to get up early and stay up late and they have to load that mail in those trucks and bring it to them and distributed and take it back.

  11. Lord, we just pray you bless them, keep them healthy and strong.

  12. Lord, let them know that they're appreciated.

  13. Father, we thank you for each of them in the name of Jesus.

  14. Everybody shouted amen, amen, thank you for that Hallelujah.

  15. I wanted to say a word about what the President said about and some things that we've read about the huge two-trillion dollar rescue package.

  16. I think I'll call it.

  17. It's not really a bailout.

  18. I think it's very different than what we saw after the 2008 crisis, which mainly went to banks and mainly went to.

  19. It didn't ever trickle down to the working man.

  20. We got zero.

  21. This one is different and, from what I'm reading, just be encouraged, don't let fear overtake you.

  22. I think there's going to be some guidance in there about landlords and rent and you know it's all still very early, but he mentioned that today.

  23. Our President is a people person, unlike most politicians, and I've observed him for many, many years and he was a builder like me, except he built big buildings and he had contact with all the regular folks that worked on his building.

  24. I'm talking about concrete guys, steel guys, the regular blue collar workers.

  25. He would strike up conversations, he would spend time talking to them and he relates to the common working person and what they face.

  26. And I really believe that his heart is to make sure that we are able to get through this thing together and not anybody just fall by the wayside, like what happened between 2008 and 2016.

  27. Remember, you know, back then, the answer was to get as many people on welfare as possible and to sign up as many people on disability, to get as many people dependent on the government check.

  28. And I tell you, this is not what Donald Trump is about.

  29. I believe he wants free enterprise.

  30. I believe he wants everybody that's employed to stay employed with that employer so that we don't have to start all over again come May.

  31. You know, I think he's got a real plan.

  32. So let's just believe God.

  33. God's able to make honey come out of the rock, amen.

  34. And he's able to meet every need.

  35. All right.

  36. Well, tonight let's lift our bibles up and let's hear the Word of the Lord.

  37. Tonight, let's wave it around, make Jesus glad and the devil mad.

  38. Let's say this together Say Heavenly Father, I'm tuned in tonight and I have ears to hear what the Spirit is telling me oh, the Word of God, I love your Holy written Word.

  39. Holy Spirit, shine your light on the Word.

  40. Give me understanding, so it's food for my faith, nourishment for my spirit.

  41. Give me ideas, concepts, insights, strategies, what I need to face life going forward, and I overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the Word of my testimony, hidden Jesus' name, amen.

  42. Well, I've got a couple of verses that are very, very familiar verses for you that most of us can just quote.

  43. The first one is Romans 10, 17.

  44. And it says Now, faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.

  45. And that word hearing means understanding, hearing with understanding.

  46. And then second, corinthians 5, 7, for we walk by faith and not by sight.

  47. We walk by faith and not by sight.

  48. And so I wanted to share a simple but powerful message with you, entitled operating from a new perspective.

  49. Operating from a new perspective.

  50. You know our greatest year yet word that we receive from God.

  51. It opened up a new perspective, or you could say a fresh perspective for us.

  52. You know, I saw us operating on a higher level and I mentioned during that word, that night, when I was under the anointing and I kept looking and I said you know what I'm seeing, promotion is too small a word.

  53. Promotion is too small a word for what I'm seeing.

  54. And I remember sharing with you a dream I had many years ago In fact it was, I think, 2004 right after we moved into this building about going up to this elevator in a big building downtown and I got on the elevator and another man got on the elevator.

  55. I said what floor please?

  56. And he said second floor and I said that's where we're going.

  57. And me and another man from the church, we pushed number two and we went up, up, up, up, up, until we were a thousand foot in the air.

  58. We could see all the way to Galveston and it was breathtaking.

  59. I mean it took all my breath away in the dream.

  60. I mean it was so tall that I felt vertigo in the dream.

  61. And so you know, isaiah 55 said God said my ways are higher than your ways, my thoughts are higher than your thoughts.

  62. We have to have a new way of thinking and a new way of speaking, new ways of operating or acting If we ever hope to see this word come to pass in our lives.

  63. You know, I'm not even talking about this ripple, this trouble that the whole nation is going through.

  64. Just think about the entire nation's going through this situation.

  65. I mean all of those grippy Hollywood starlets, the ones that always gripe about Trump, they're having to stay home and you know they're probably getting bored, and I mean everybody's staying home.

  66. The rich are staying home, the poor are staying home, everybody's staying home.

  67. And there's not very many people I mean, I guess a few people when it first started used their wealth to get away.

  68. And where can you go?

  69. Where can you go in this whole world?

  70. You might pick a place that's worse than your own living room.

  71. I like what President Trump said, brother Trump.

  72. President Trump said you know, enjoy your living room.

  73. I'm trying to enjoy my living room, but not I am.

  74. But going back to that night.

  75. God has given us his perspective and we're adopting his perspective on things.

  76. And when we get in his perspective, then we don't even notice this thing we're going through, we don't even notice the coronavirus, we don't even notice this temporary setback economically, we don't even notice the fact that maybe it looks like we're suffering financially.

  77. I mean, you know, we don't feel anything.

  78. God is gonna soften the entire blow and turn everything around when we look at it from his perspective.

  79. Everybody say out loud I'm looking at it from God's perspective.

  80. And so we're literally given in this word.

  81. That it said is our greatest year yet.

  82. Now, in the face of everything that you're facing, that's what he said back then.

  83. He said, oh, you don't know what I'm facing, you just don't know what I'm going through.

  84. He said, oh, but I do, and I'm telling you, in the face of what you're facing, I tell you this will be the greatest year yet, except no other report agreed with no other statement about it.

  85. And so our confession is what we agree with.

  86. Confession means to say the same thing as so if we say the same thing as an unbelieving world, if we say the same thing as Hollywood, if we say the same thing as some of these crazy politicians, you know we're agreeing with the wrong voices.

  87. We need to agree with what God said, and let's say that.

  88. And so I wanted for us to look tonight at the two times in the Word of God were Jesus marveled.

  89. I want you to think about Jesus.

  90. I mean, jesus has always existed.

  91. You know, in the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, the Word was God, and the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us.

  92. So I mean you know, god Jesus is coexistent with God the Father eternally.

  93. I mean it's you know, he's seen it.

  94. He's seen it all.

  95. Jesus has seen it all.

  96. There's nothing which surprised him.

  97. Do you think he's shocked?

  98. You think he's shocked about all of this?

  99. No, he saw it coming.

  100. And.

  101. But in the Bible there's two places where Jesus marveled that he just shook his head and said, wow, this is really something.

  102. And so the first one that I want to talk about is found in Mark, chapter six, and it's on the negative side, and we'll start reading with verse one.

  103. And he, jesus, went out from there and came into his own country, and his disciples follow him, and when the Sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue and many hearing him were astonished, saying from which has this man these things?

  104. And what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?

  105. Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James and Joseph and of Judah and Simon?

  106. Are not his sisters here with us?

  107. And they were offended at him.

  108. And Jesus said unto them a prophet is not without honor, but in his own country and among his own kin and in his own house.

  109. And he could there do no mighty work.

  110. And I noticed what it says.

  111. It didn't say he would there because he got mad at them for being, you know, that way.

  112. No, it said he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk and healed them.

  113. One version says, healed them of minor ailments and he marveled because of their unbelief.

  114. And he went around about the villages teaching he found a way to remedy unbelief.

  115. You know, unbelief can be remedied, unbelief can be corrected, and the correction for it is teaching.

  116. He didn't just throw up his hands and give up, but notice, he marveled at their unbelief.

  117. In other words, he marveled at their zero faith.

  118. Jesus, everywhere he went, was looking for faith and measuring faith.

  119. Oh, you have little faith.

  120. How is it that you have no faith?

  121. Oh, woman, great is thy faith.

  122. And so I want you to notice some things about this.

  123. His kinfolk and his people that knew him when he was growing up In verse two they knew about his mighty works.

  124. They didn't deny that.

  125. They knew about them.

  126. Just think about it.

  127. They knew that he was healing people.

  128. They knew he cast out demons.

  129. They knew, and so they were astonished at his teaching.

  130. They said what is this wisdom he's speaking with?

  131. How does he know all this great stuff?

  132. I mean, they didn't call it foolishness, they called it wisdom.

  133. They didn't doubt what he was saying.

  134. They recognized the mighty works, they recognized the teaching and the wisdom.

  135. And yet in verse three, they were offended at him.

  136. They were offended at him and there was no honor.

  137. Jesus said that prophets not without honor, except in his own hometown, among his own, in his own country, among his own kin.

  138. So they did not honor him.

  139. And so you look at that.

  140. And they stopped God's power on their behalf.

  141. There's no question how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed with the devil, for God was with him.

  142. God was with him when he was preaching there.

  143. The God's power was available to them.

  144. I'm sure there was some of them in there that were sick, some of them that had needs, some of them that had need of what he had for them, and God's power was limited on their behalf.

  145. He couldn't operate.

  146. It didn't say he wouldn't.

  147. It said he couldn't, he was limited and so God's power was stopped.

  148. On their behalf.

  149. I mean, they cut off their own nose, despite their face and their perspective.

  150. Notice this their perspective was from their own petty jealousy and their own religious brainwashing.

  151. They'd been religiously brainwashed.

  152. I mean religiously brainwashed.

  153. They purported to be the Messiah and they just couldn't go along with it.

  154. They you know who's he talking, who's he trying to kid.

  155. We know him, we know his mother, we know his brothers, his sister.

  156. Come on man, come on man.

  157. They'd been religiously brainwashed.

  158. They were looking for the Messiah and he wasn't.

  159. He was standing in front of them and they couldn't accept him.

  160. Religiously brainwashed Everybody say religiously brainwashed.

  161. See, their perspective was faulty.

  162. I mean they knew some things but they didn't know them like they should have known them.

  163. I tell you, if we're not careful, we can hear and hear and hear and not really hear accurately.

  164. We can hear and think we know what the Bible says and we're not really keen in on what the Bible really says Sometimes.

  165. That's why we ought to read our Bible every day.

  166. I mean, I know people that think that they know the Bible and they haven't read it so long they forgot what it said.

  167. If they'd read it every day, they'd know every day.

  168. There's a reason why it says in here remember, remember, remember.

  169. Okay, so their perspective was flawed.

  170. Their perspective was from their own petty jealousy and from their own religious brainwashing.

  171. Now let's look at the second time that Jesus marveled in Matthew, chapter eight.

  172. Praise God, I feel the anointing right now.

  173. Just reach out and grab ahold of what you need tonight.

  174. This is knocking devils off of you.

  175. I tell you there's such misinformation and disinformation and you know you expect that in the world.

  176. But I mean I'm talking about in the church.

  177. I mean I've read some things just in the last couple of weeks that makes me scratch my head.

  178. So please, again, I caution, you be careful what you're reading and ingesting from different sites that purport to be church sites and all of that kind of thing.

  179. You just be cautious.

  180. All right, matthew, chapter eight, verse two.

  181. I'm sorry, verse six, excuse me.

  182. Matthew eight, verse six and verse five would be, I'll forget it right in a minute.

  183. When Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion beseeching him, saying Lord, my servant life at home, sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.

  184. And Jesus said unto him I will come and heal him.

  185. The centurion answered and said Lord, I am not worthy that you should have come under my roof, but speak the word only and my servant shall be healed.

  186. For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me.

  187. And I say to this man go, and he go with.

  188. And to another, come and he cometh.

  189. And to my servant, do this and he doeth it.

  190. When Jesus heard it, he marveled and said to them that followed verily.

  191. I say unto you, I have not found so great of faith no, not in Israel.

  192. And I say unto you that many shall come from the east and the west and shall sit down with Abraham, isaac and Jacob and the kingdom of heaven.

  193. But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness and there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

  194. And one version says that he marveled.

  195. He marveled at that man and he said.

  196. Jesus said unto the centurion go thy way and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee.

  197. And his servant was healed in the self same hour.

  198. So notice here that he came to Jesus not for himself but for his own servant's sake.

  199. The servant had a terminal disease.

  200. Palsy was terminal.

  201. There was no cure for it.

  202. He just got weaker and weaker until you just couldn't breathe and you died.

  203. And Jesus offered to come.

  204. He said I'll come and heal him.

  205. And he said no Lord, just speak the word.

  206. Only I recognize authority, I recognize the authority.

  207. I know that no one could do what you're doing unless they had authority from the highest.

  208. That's the way it is in my world.

  209. I'm a centurion, I've got 100 men under me.

  210. I have to be a man under authority.

  211. I couldn't be where I'm at if I didn't respect authority and therefore, since I respect authority, the authority that's over me.

  212. Then when I say to this man, come, he comes.

  213. And when I say to the other man, go, he goes.

  214. And when I tell my servant, do this, he does it.

  215. My authority works because I'm under authority.

  216. I recognize every bit of that and Jesus marveled at that revelation.

  217. Here he is a centurion, here he is a Gentile.

  218. He said I have found.

  219. I have not found so great of faith.

  220. No, not in Israel.

  221. Praise God, jesus marveled.

  222. So here's a Gentile who had the perspective.

  223. Say we're talking about perspectives now, and I want us to get this because we have this outstanding word.

  224. I believe it is the greatest word I've ever delivered in my ministry.

  225. And right on the heels of that greatest word we've ever delivered came the greatest In my lifetime, the greatest test this country has ever had.

  226. I've never seen what we're going through.

  227. I know World War II was something else, but I wasn't here during that time.

  228. I know there was a lot of sacrifices during World War II, but I wasn't here at that time.

  229. But here's a Gentile who had the perspective that for Jesus to do what he had heard about, he must have authority.

  230. He recognized Jesus' authority and so his faith was was Jesus just command?

  231. Just issue a command and it will be done?

  232. Oh, what a perspective.

  233. Well, how about this word?

  234. Does it have authority?

  235. You know the authority of the Word of God.

  236. What about the authority of the believer?

  237. You know we have authority.

  238. Jesus said all authority in heaven and earth is given unto us.

  239. Go ye, therefore.

  240. It's given unto me.

  241. Go ye, therefore.

  242. So he delegated his authority to us after the resurrection.

  243. I'll tell you today.

  244. You know, after the many years in ministry and 25 years of pastoring, I see a lot of Christians are.

  245. They're in the first perspective that we read about.

  246. They're religiously brainwashed.

  247. They've been told things like you know, particularly about what we're going through right now.

  248. You know well, god can heal, but he probably won't.

  249. In my experience it's just a few people get healed and it's not a sure thing.

  250. There's no point in praying.

  251. We might as well just say, lord, if it be, thy will heal Sister Jones of coronavirus.

  252. Otherwise, you know, help her family get used to death.

  253. I mean, you know there's a fatalistic kind of way about their attitude about what God will do.

  254. God can, but he probably won't.

  255. They're afraid to say God's limited.

  256. But so they just say he's not.

  257. He's got the ability but he's not willing.

  258. They doubt God's willingness.

  259. You know miracles passed away.

  260. We don't have any right to ask for a miracle nowadays.

  261. Oh well, I've got my cross to bear.

  262. The Bible says I ought to bear my cross.

  263. Well, why don't you take that in context?

  264. It says that.

  265. But that's not.

  266. He's not talking about bearing the cross of sickness and disease.

  267. He's not talking about the bearing the cross of poverty and lack.

  268. He's really talking about the cross of persecution.

  269. And well, I read a statement a Christian person made this last week.

  270. You know, maybe there's a blessing from the coronavirus.

  271. I'm telling you that coronavirus is not a blessing.

  272. The implication of that?

  273. The state of God's church, the state of the body of Christ.

  274. There's such religious brainwashing.

  275. Oh, I tell you, we need to wake up the church to the Word of God.

  276. Who would want to be part of a group of people that believe like that about God?

  277. That God is just indifferent, that God is just willy-nilly, that he's just.

  278. You know, he just wakes up in a mood.

  279. Well, maybe God's not in a good mood today.

  280. Man, how about this one?

  281. God's teaching us a lesson.

  282. Oh, he's teaching us a lesson.

  283. Oh, yeah, no, he's marveling at unbelief.

  284. That's what he's doing.

  285. He's marveling at how he could have the Bible given to us.

  286. Men and women died to give us this Bible.

  287. We'll never know the price that was paid for the pages of the Word of God that we have in our possession.

  288. We live in a nation where we can freely own a Bible.

  289. There are nations where you can get shot for having a Bible.

  290. One of those nations is Communist China.

  291. Maybe we ought to reconsider doing business with them.

  292. Maybe we ought to cancel our trade agreement.

  293. Well, that's getting into another subject.

  294. Let's be sure that we've got God's perspective on what he has said.

  295. I mean, you know, his ways are higher than our ways.

  296. What does that mean?

  297. Does it mean it's unattainable?

  298. No, it means that our first reactions usually is the flesh.

  299. We need to get into the Word, we need to get into prayer and find out what is God's perspective and then adopt that, adopt what God said about it.

  300. God said we're healed.

  301. God said we're blessed.

  302. Hallelujah, hallelujah.

  303. Let's adopt God's perspective, let's adopt God's way of thinking.

  304. Oh, my goodness, come on, let's lift our hands right now.

  305. Lord, we thank you for what we're hearing tonight.

  306. Our faith is being built up to begin to operate.

  307. Lord, you've given us brand new ways of thinking, brand new ways of speaking, brand new ways of operating.

  308. Lord, we're operating from a new perspective, a perspective that perhaps we never had before, but now we have adopted it in the face of some of the severest trials this nation has ever gone under.

  309. And, lord, the church is rising up and being the church.

  310. You know, the only way that we're going to reap good out of this bad is for the church to adopt God's perspective on it, not be intimidated by viruses and recessions and not be intimidated by unemployment rates that are temporary and stock market numbers that are temporary.

  311. Listen, we just need to adopt God's perspective that this is going to be.

  312. We look back when it's all said and done.

  313. We'll look back on this year and say, my, my, this has been the greatest year of my life.

  314. Let's adopt that perspective.

  315. Come on, let's praise Him right now.

  316. We're bringing forth by faith.

  317. We're bringing it forth by faith, just the same way that Jesus brought forth those miracles.

  318. He did it by faith.

  319. Praise God, thank you Lord.

  320. Thank you Lord.

  321. Well, I don't feel right by ending just yet, without giving people a chance that are watching, just by by sheer chance.

  322. There'll be other people that are watching that we don't know and not acquainted with, and perhaps you're somewhat fearful of what's going on.

  323. Perhaps you've tuned in tonight for some faith platform.

  324. Somebody told you about this this side and you've.

  325. You've listened to the preaching and and you say well, I don't know how that applies to me, I, I don't know how to get to where he's talking about.

  326. Well, it starts with just giving your life to Jesus.

  327. I tell you he loves you.

  328. He died for your sins.

  329. He died to to make you whole.

  330. He died to give you the peace.

  331. Glad it's read that, that verse of scripture my peace I give to you, not the world peace.

  332. The world gives you know.

  333. The world can give you false peace without with alcohol and drugs.

  334. I think about many people who are hooked on opiates hopelessly hooked, and they, they, they.

  335. They're in trouble right now because they don't have access to those drugs.

  336. They can't even get a prescription for them.

  337. Right now, the the medical system is overwhelmed.

  338. There's no telling how many people are in pain right now.

  339. You might be one of them.

  340. You might be not able to go to the doctor because the doctor's office is closed and you're in desperate shape.

  341. Just give your heart to Jesus, receive him as your Lord and savior.

  342. Just pray this prayer.

  343. Lift your hand to heaven and pray this prayer.

  344. Mean it from your heart, say it out loud with your mouth.

  345. Say, oh God, I know without Jesus I'm lost.

  346. Without Jesus I'll die and go to hell.

  347. But, oh God, I, I want to go to heaven.

  348. Jesus, I believe you're the son of God.

  349. I believe that you died for my sins, but God raised you from the dead.

  350. Jesus, come into my heart, make me the kind of person you want me to be.

  351. I give you my life and I make you my Lord.

  352. And now, devil, get out of my life.

  353. You're not my Lord.

  354. Jesus is my Lord.

  355. And now, god, you're more than just my God.

  356. You're my heavenly Father, my very own heavenly Father, and I'm your very own child.

  357. Thank God, I'm saved, and now I want to announce to you that all your sins are forgiven.

  358. There's nothing holding you back from God's love.

  359. He loves you, he accepts you, he receives you and you are saved.

  360. And so, if you prayed that prayer with me, let us know, give us an email at staff at GWCCC, or let us know on Facebook.

  361. We'll get back to you with some material.

  362. We'll pray with you and make sure that you have the proper steps going forward.

  363. Praise God.

  364. Well, it's been great being with you tonight, on this Sunday night.

  365. I look forward to that day.

  366. We don't know when it's going to be.

  367. We know we've got at least another 30 days until, I guess, may, the first to have fresh directives.

  368. You know God can interrupt that at any time.

  369. I'm just believing it'll be sooner rather than later.

  370. Let's just believe that, and in the meantime, god's grace is sufficient for us.

  371. We love you.

  372. I stretch out my rod and I say be blessed in Jesus' name.

  373. We love you till next time, bye, bye.
