And let's lift our bibles up, wave them around and let's make Jesus glad and a devil mad.
-
Let's say this together say Heavenly Father, I'm so glad to be in church.
-
The church is in business again and I'm here to be instructed in the ways of your kingdom.
-
I'm a member of God and Son's unlimited.
-
You provided a place at the table in the family business and as I get enriched in the Word of God today, illuminated by the Holy Ghost, I'll rise higher, I'll catch fire and people are gonna see and ask me what in the world has happened to you, and I'll be able to point them to you in Jesus' name.
-
Hallelujah, you can be seated.
-
Praise God wasn't that great.
-
That was a powerful song.
-
I think that was the first time we've sung that one.
-
That was great Hallelujah.
-
I tell you the country, the world, needs that song.
-
They need to know how to get it.
-
Amen.
-
You know Psalm 133, please.
-
And then also, while you're finding places in your Bible, let's find a place at Galatians, chapter three, and Psalm 133, verse one.
-
Behold how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together, all divided up and fractured.
-
Stay at home, orders it says.
-
Together, doesn't it?
-
Dwell together in unity, in unity, everybody say unity.
-
You know, years ago God gave me this little formula.
-
I guess, being a mechanical engineer by education, I tend to go like that with formulas.
-
He said love plus unity equal miracles.
-
Everybody say that love plus unity equals miracles.
-
And so it is like the precious unity, is like the precious ointment upon the head that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard, that went down to the skirts of his garments as the dew of hermone and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion.
-
For there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life forevermore.
-
Everybody say the Lord commanded the blessing, all right.
-
And then Galatians, chapter three, verse seven.
-
Know ye, therefore, that they which are of faith, everybody shout that's me that they which are of faith the same are the children of Abraham.
-
And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel under Abraham, saying in thee shall all the families or all the nations be blessed.
-
So then, they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham, verse 13,.
-
Christ hath redeemed us past tense.
-
He hath redeemed us from the curse of the law being made a curse for us or in our place, or he took our curse.
-
All of those are the sense of the Greek, for it is written, cursed as everyone who hangs on a tree, that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ, that we might receive the promise of the spirit through faith.
-
And today I, just when I didn't know we were gonna sing that song, I'd never heard that song before, but the Holy Ghost knew all about this service and I wanted to preach today on believe the blessing, believe the blessing.
-
We've been sorely tempted not to believe the blessing.
-
I mean constantly, constantly.
-
I mean it's amazing.
-
If you've got just regular television, regular, you know every ad, every everybody is just touting this whole list of things that we're supposed to do to make us safe.
-
But the blessing.
-
There's no substitute for the blessing.
-
And believing the blessing, believing the blessing.
-
Our heavenly Father commanded the blessing, psalm 1333, he commanded it.
-
He commanded it especially to show up where there's unity and love.
-
I mean that's why it's so necessary for us to be in church together, not be all separate.
-
Livestream has got its advantages.
-
We've got people watching my Livestream.
-
I'm glad that they're watching and I don't condemn anybody that feels like they have to stay home.
-
Right now there's all kinds of different things coming through the society and you have to just use common sense and wisdom.
-
It doesn't mean that you don't have faith.
-
It means that some of you have family that are at risk and they don't feel comfortable with you going to church.
-
I understand all these things.
-
We're not negating anybody that going through this.
-
This is temporary, though, and what we've got to do is we've got to get our focus on the blessing.
-
The blessing is not temporary, amen.
-
And so you know Jewish fathers and some of that song was you know the blessings that they used Jewish fathers released the blessing over their children on the Sabbath, so every week.
-
That was their tradition.
-
I mean, that's why they had the Sabbath, so they could get together and fathers could bless their children, and the patriarchs released the blessing over their children before they died.
-
I was just thinking about this this morning, you know, when Jacob and his mother finigled away to steal Esau's blessing, you know, and he dressed up like, put that fur on him because his daddy was kind of hard, couldn't see, and all that.
-
And so Isaac pronounced the blessing over the wrong kid.
-
He wasn't the firstborn.
-
That blessing belonged to the firstborn, who was Esau.
-
But Esau, we know, sold his birthright number one, and then he was just so carnal.
-
You know that he just, he just didn't, he wasn't intense enough about the blessing, he didn't believe the blessing, he didn't believe the value of the blessing.
-
Enough Should have given him a hint when he, when he sold his birthright, he should have known somebody was ready to snap it up, snap up the blessing to go with the birthright.
-
But he didn't.
-
He was dull of hearing.
-
A lot of people are dull right now.
-
They've been inundated with with the spirit of this world and the fear and the panic that's out there.
-
And so, you know he comes.
-
And so Isaac blesses Jacob man, you know he blessed him just similar to what that song was saying.
-
And then when, when Esau came okay, I'm ready for the blow.
-
Who was that?
-
It wasn't that you know well.
-
Don't you have anything left for me?
-
He said I've already given the blessing to Jacob and he shall be blessed.
-
I mean, that's how much faith they had in the speaking forth of the blessing.
-
We need to get reacquainted with what God has said about us and get and get our faith stirred up, to let ourselves be persuaded, above everything else that we're hearing right now All the economy being where it's at, and and and all of that.
-
And so they they had a, they would get together and they'd bless their children before they died.
-
I remember Jacob, you know, when he was, he was had left behind and and Canaan landed then when, when Joseph brought him to Egypt and he got old and was ready to die, he just blessed the sons of of Joseph and and Moses blessed the 12 tribes of Israel before he departed, and the priests would declare the blessing and release it by the laying on of hands.
-
So we have a lot of the Old Testament, that's types and shadows of what we already have.
-
But Hebrews eight six says we have a better covenant than they did, founded upon better promises.
-
If the blessing worked for them, the blessing works for us, even greater.
-
But we have to believe it.
-
I said we have to believe it.
-
Jesus took our curse.
-
We have the blessing in and through Christ.
-
But it says might, you know?
-
Look, look at Galatians three.
-
It says that the blessing of Abraham might, might, come on the Gentiles.
-
We might receive the promise of the spirit through faith.
-
Well, that's what I thought.
-
Some people are blessed and some aren't.
-
Well, that may be that that's really not true.
-
Everyone is blessed.
-
Not everybody appropriates it by faith.
-
Every believer is blessed in Christ.
-
If you're really saved, if you're really born again, you're, you're in the category of blessed.
-
Well, why don't people know?
-
They don't, they don't understand it, they have not received it and they have not appropriated it by faith.
-
They haven't believed the blessing.
-
Basically, like Esau, he just didn't believe the blessing until he was too late.
-
And then you'd read the story of Esau.
-
I mean he got mad and and and his descendants mistreated the children of Israel.
-
And I mean they, they didn't wind up very, they didn't wind up good.
-
I mean they didn't wind up good at all.
-
And so we have the blessing in and through Christ.
-
So believe the blessing.
-
I want you to sing Galatians six, eight in the scripture for seeing that God would justify that heathen, through faith, preached before the gospel under Abraham, saying and what was the gospel that they're talking about?
-
That Abraham heard it's the, and it says in thee shall all nations be blessed.
-
God preached the gospel to Abraham.
-
What is the gospel?
-
It's good news.
-
And he said Abraham in thee shall all the nations nations mean all the unconfident dead ones, the ones that don't have a covenant, are going to be blessed through you, and that's exactly how it worked out.
-
See, we were Gentiles before we got saved.
-
We were Gentiles, but through the roots, see, we owe the debt a debt to the Jewish people because they preserved the Bible for us.
-
We owe a debt to them and we should be their friend.
-
We should, we should do everything we can to help and bless Israel and not to try to help them give their land away.
-
If there's anything I'm concerned about about this nation is we need to pray and ask God to forgive this nation for being part of this land for peace deal and I know, president, it means well, I know that he has got a good heart, but he's wrong about that particular situation.
-
I believe that's part of why we're going through what we're going through.
-
You mean God is cursed as no.
-
I'm telling you, though God's hand of blessing and we walk out from underneath His blessing.
-
What's out there?
-
Well, there's rocks falling off the mountain going to hit you on the head.
-
That's what's out there.
-
I mean, just be as smart as an old hog that knows that.
-
We goes up to the trough and a rock hits him in the head.
-
He doesn't go to the trough anymore.
-
He stays over here.
-
But we keep going over here where the rocks hit us in the head I mean we had the two twin towers fall in Manhattan, see.
-
And then we've got ex-President Trump I mean ex-President Bush this morning talking about how we're all children of the same God.
-
No, we're not.
-
Quit talking like that because you don't know what you're talking about.
-
You didn't back then either.
-
No, we're not all children of the same God.
-
Hey, man, that's something that God, that we're under one nation, under God and God.
-
We trust that God is the creator, god, he's the creator of heaven and earth.
-
He is the father of Abraham, isaac and Jacob and he's the father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
-
Those are the two entities that have a covenant in the earth.
-
Then the third group God sees three covenant, three groups of people in the earth the Jews first Corinthians, chapter 10, look it up for yourself.
1 Corinthians 10 chapter mention
-
The Jews the nations are the ones without a covenant.
-
And the church.
-
The Jews have a covenant with God.
-
The church has a better covenant with God.
-
And then all the nations don't have a covenant.
-
There's three groups of people on the earth, and so you know, we have to understand that we don't all worship the same God.
-
The God that's over America is the Judeo-Christian ethic.
-
This is the tradition of our nation, and when we started bringing in all the other nations of the earth, that might be one thing, but then to use our constitution and our traditions to elevate their God equal to our God, that was wrong, I tell you.
-
The church is going to have to stand up and quit being mealy-mouth.
-
You know, I was listening to judge Napolitano the other night.
-
He was on Friday night, he was on Tucker Carlson and I haven't been a big fan of his because he's a never-trumper and he never seems to ever pass up a chance to denigrate our president.
-
So I don't like him in that area.
-
But he is a libertarian and he's got a pretty straight revelation about the constitution, what it means, and he was just talking about what we've been through in this country and he said look that our bill of rights are under attack and there is no excuse for any government.
-
Nobody can take our rights away from us for any reason.
-
And so he said you know what I was really disappointed in.
-
I look with sadness because so many people have traded their rights and privileges and returned for safety.
-
That word safety does not exist in science.
-
There's no such thing as safety.
-
But there's safety in the gospel and believe in the gospel.
-
That's our safety right there.
-
But he said I was particularly disappointed in the church.
-
The churches of this nation by and large.
-
All the leaders just been over and just yielded to government powers and they just closed willingly.
-
He said I was very disappointed in the church.
-
I said yeah, yeah, yeah, me too.
-
Listen, we're rising up and we need.
-
You know, god's not finished with America yet and God's not finished getting a harvest and it's going to take a mighty church.
-
Fill with the Holy Ghost, fill with boldness, unafraid of men.
-
The fear of man brings a snare, oh, but God, I tell you he's faithful, he's blessed us.
-
Well, I went down a rabbit trail.
-
I hope you found the rabbit anyway.
-
So.
-
But the blessing is the heart of the gospel.
-
I heard, you know, when I went out and interviewed Oral Roberts in 2005.
-
This is one of the things he told me.
-
He said the blessing is the heart of the gospel and that's where he got that elation 6-8.
-
It's the heart, it's the center of the gospel the good news is all about.
-
We are blessed and it's not automatic, it's not going to just fall out of heaven on top of us.
-
We have to appropriate it, we have to believe it, we have to speak.
-
It.
-
Are you with me now?
-
And so you know?
-
Jesus blessed the disciples.
-
This is worth looking.
-
At.
-
Luke 24, let's look at what Jesus did before he left.
-
You know he.
-
He went up into heaven after he rose from the dead.
-
He was here 40 days and 40 nights.
-
He showed himself alive by many infallible proofs Acts, chapter 1.
Acts 1 chapter mention
-
And then he ascended into heaven and left.
-
In Luke 24, verse 49 I want you to see this and he said to them, to the disciples behold, I send the promise of my father upon you, but tarry you in the city of Jerusalem until you be endued with power from on high.
-
So he's talking about the baptism of the Holy Ghost, where the evidence is speaking in other tongues, just in case you don't know what he means.
-
The promise of the father is the Holy Ghost.
-
Every believer has the Holy Ghost and every believer ought to be filled with the Holy Ghost.
-
And he led them out as far as to Bethany and he lifted up his hands and blessed them.
-
See, he's fixing to leave.
-
He's not dying, but he is gonna leave the earth.
-
And he blessed them and it came to pass.
-
While he blessed them, he was parted from them and carried up into heaven and they worshiped him and they returned to Jerusalem real sad and hanged dog attitude.
-
They pouted and cried and moaned and groaned.
-
No, they returned to Jerusalem with great joy.
-
See, I tell you, when you get blessed, you ought to be rejoicing, you ought to be so glad for the blessing.
-
And wherever we let circumstances rob us of joy, we basically saying God, I don't believe your word, I don't believe I'm blessed.
-
I believe what I'm seeing more than I believe the word.
-
I'm just so disappointed, I can't believe everything has happened like this.
-
Oh God is there Now.
-
They rejoiced with great joy.
-
This is the same, this is the same group that was upset at his crucifixion.
-
They were so discouraged and so hopeless and everything else.
-
And something happened to them.
-
I'm telling you glory to God, the blessing.
-
They got so happy about the blessing and they were continually in the temple praising and blessing God.
-
And then, after that, they got the Holy Ghost and boy, I mean, they turned the whole world right side up.
-
I mean it was already upside down, they turned it right side up.
-
So believe and rejoice.
-
You see, your joy level is proof of whether you really believe you're blessed or not.
-
The more crying and complaining you have, the more that God looks on you and says, well, gosh, he just doesn't believe me.
-
Rejoicing is the key.
-
Well, you know, I just don't feel.
-
I don't feel, I'm not in the mood.
-
Well, just, you don't have to be in the mood, just start ha ha ha.
-
I mean, you don't even have to feel it, it's first.
-
Just go.
-
Ha ha ha ha.
-
Instead of oh me, oh me, just say ha, just change the wording ha ha ha.
-
And after a while you start laughing at yourself how foolish you sound and look.
-
And if you have to laugh at yourself, you know laugh.
-
And if you have to look at me and laugh, go ahead.
-
I don't, I invite you to laugh at me.
-
I mean, go ahead and doesn't bother me.
-
Blessing defined.
-
Let's see what Webster's dictionary says.
-
The dictionary definition of blessing the original language, is to consecrate by the sprinkling of blood.
-
I tell you, if you have faith in the blood of Christ, then you have faith in the blessing you have, because the blessing is tied to the blood.
-
We're blood blessed.
-
We've been sprinkled with his blood.
-
Glory to God.
-
It means set apart for holy purposes.
-
It means to pronounce holy, happy, successful, prosperous.
-
It means to pronounce divine favor, advantage, promotion.
-
Oh, are y'all getting this now?
-
That's what blessing means.
-
To bless someone, it means to pronounce over them.
-
That's exactly what we sang this morning.
-
It's all right out of God's Word.
-
In the meaning of the word bless, in the Amplified, the word blessing means highly favored and to be envied, fortunate, happy, spiritually and materially prosperous.
-
You might have to really get and start to believe what the Word says over what your checkbook says.
-
Your bank balance, your portfolio balance, whatever your investments are.
-
Maybe your businesses I mean there's lots of businesses took a hit and I noticed where they had these bailout programs.
-
I noticed some of these big I believe it was one of these big colleges and university.
-
Harvard has billions I think $7 billion in endowments.
-
These are rich Xs that gave money and it's endowed to take care of their university.
-
They don't need bailout money, but they got hundreds of millions of dollars of bailout money.
-
I believe that small businesses ought to get the bailout money, but you know now the church was eligible for bailout money.
-
Do you know that.
-
I mean our bank was calling us continually, soon as they announced it.
-
Our bank boy, they like us down there.
-
They like us, they're our new best friends since we paid our mortgage off.
-
And they said oh, you just get that at.
-
Ya, have you got that application yet?
-
We wanna be able to help you.
-
You're eligible, it's for churches, it's for everybody.
-
And the way it worked was is that you could use the money to not lay anybody off and if you didn't lay anybody off in 60 days and you get, basically the government will come back and forgive the loan, they will pay the loan off to the small businesses administration and that becomes a grant.
-
That's no small amount of money for us I mean, we don't have a small staff but the amount of money was pretty substantial.
-
It's got limits on what they'll cover for the individuals and so forth.
-
And so we got to going down that road and I was kind of eager for it at first and James said well, you know, I can't seem to get it filled out every time I start.
-
I just don't go any further.
-
I said let's pray about that first.
-
I sat over on the weekend and the Holy Ghost just said forget about it, because you know, I don't want to be beholden to the federal government over any kind of thing, and I can just picture how that, if they told us not to be in church and they told us to close our doors, and they told us that we couldn't have more than 10 people in here, they told us that we had to do it live stream or else, and they wouldn't even let us do it in the parking lot at first.
-
And if they tell us all these things once we get money from them, what are they gonna tell us?
-
To get that loan forgiven, what hook is gonna be on there, whether there's one or not?
-
There's this one thing that I know God is our supply and I'm not going to the federal government for nothing.
-
I'm not saying if you're a business owner and you're eligible for it, I'm not saying you shouldn't take it.
-
I'm not.
-
I'm talking about the church.
-
That's how much we believe in our freedom and we're not gonna be compromising about our freedom.
-
Amen, are y'all with me now?
-
Yes, blessed the blessing of the Lord.
-
It maketh rich and he added no sorrow with it, proverbs 10, 22.
-
I tell you we're blood.
-
Everybody say I'm blood.
-
Blessed, the blood can't lie, amen.
-
Now I'd like what FF Bosworth said years ago.
-
He said this it is impossible to claim by faith a blessing that you're not sure God is offering you.
-
So what's the key to that?
-
I'm gonna read it again.
-
It's a little tricky it's impossible to claim by faith a blessing you're not sure God is offering you.
-
So what's the key?
-
Well, you need to know what God is offering.
-
You need to know what does the Bible say about the blessing.
-
What does the blessing include?
-
Well, it includes preservation.
-
It includes deliverance, safety.
-
It includes health and healing.
-
It includes prosperity.
-
Are you with me now?
-
So now you can have boldness to claim all that the blood has purchased.
-
Once you have a knowledge of that, it's right here in your Bible.
-
I tell you this message that the whole country needs to hear.
-
The whole world needs to hear it, and this country needs to get back to the basics of the gospel.
-
It needs to get under the God of the gospel.
-
It needs to get under the God that this nation was dedicated to when it was founded.
-
As a matter of fact, this country really is in covenant with God, according to the Mayflower Compact.
-
In the 1600s, the pilgrims landed here.
-
They dedicated this country to the spreading of the gospel.
-
They came here for religious freedom, isn't it?
-
It's odd now, these 400 years later, all of a sudden, things have turned around.
-
No, they haven't turned around.
-
I'm telling you, we're still here, we still have a voice, we're still gonna lead amen.
-
The truth.
-
Three facts about the blessing, real quick.
-
Ephesians, chapter one, verse three, and I read it in the Norley translation.
-
It says we are all blessed in Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing that heaven itself enjoys.
-
Let me ask you something Do you think they're shut in up in heaven?
-
Do you think they have to stay in their mansion?
-
Do you think they have to have social distancing at the river of life?
-
You think the pearly gates?
-
When people are coming in, they gotta come in six foot apart.
-
There are no crowds here.
-
Glory to God, come on, pastor.
-
You're just making fun.
-
I don't know what else to do.
-
I'm tired of this.
-
I am, I am leveled up over.
-
I'm overflowing with disgust at the whole idea.
-
It's all a bunk, bunch of bunk.
-
When are we gonna wake up and trust the God of our covenant?
-
I got a few people that are agreeing with me.
-
All right.
-
What confidence we have in claiming the blessing over our families, our health, our finances, our church, our business, our nation.
-
I'm telling you God's not finished with America.
-
I said God's not finished with America.
-
God's gonna get a mighty harvest out of America.
-
I really do believe there's a mighty, mighty awakening coming to America.
-
There's gotta be before Jesus comes back.
-
Because why do you believe that?
-
Because I know that God is the greatest farmer that ever lived and he has long patience until the early and the latter rain come and he received this harvest.
-
He has long patience for it and he has a plan in these last days to get one final huge crop before the incomes, before Jesus comes and takes the church out.
-
And I believe part of the church at that time will be all those brand new believers that just got saved.
-
They will be snatched out of this earth and we can kinda see a picture of what it's gonna look like when we're gone.
-
I mean I kept thinking about that, you know, looking at this world without the church being involved and without anybody.
-
You know the churches were empty and all of that and I mean it's pretty sick out there.
-
I'll tell you the church is gonna rise again.
-
We're gonna get a harvest out of this earth.
-
Point number two Genesis 12, two.
-
God said in Genesis he was talking to Abram and he said to Abram.
-
He said and I will make of thee a great nation and I will bless thee and make thy name great and thou shalt be a blessing.
-
Notice what he said.
-
He said I will bless you to be a blessing.
-
So point number two we're blessed.
-
For what purpose?
-
To be a blessing.
-
How can we be a blessing if we're not blessed?
-
So I've had people say are you just one of those bless me club?
-
Well, yeah, are you the curse me club?
-
Are you the curse?
-
Would you like to go to a church full of curses?
-
There's plenty of them out there.
-
No problem, I'll send you right now.
-
I'll name a few.
-
No, I won't name them this morning.
-
They're the ones that got Ichabod on the door, the glory departed man.
-
Do you feel the Holy Ghost in here?
-
I mean, I can hardly stand up here.
-
Just dripping, it's just dripping around, just dripping.
-
Woo, glory to God.
-
We're blessed to be a blessing every time.
-
And how can we be a blessing Every time?
-
We bless in words and deeds, in our giving and our sending the gospel the ends of the earth.
-
Every time we have anything to do with that, we are blessing people.
-
Well, in order for that to happen, we have to be blessed.
-
In order to even speak the blessing, we've got to be encouraged enough to speak it.
-
I mean, people are watching us right now.
-
They want to see, they want to find out what is the reason for your joy.
-
Why is it that you talk the way you do?
-
How can you have such confidence and boldness?
-
What in the world I taste the Word of God and the Holy Ghost?
-
And, yeah, after a while, then the circumstances start to line up.
-
I said the circumstances start to line up.
-
I haven't forgot how God said that 2020 was gonna be our greatest year.
-
Yet I am not listen.
-
I'm believing that with all my heart.
-
This thing can turn around as fast as it went down.
-
But the church has got to be engaged.
-
I said the church is the one that's gonna lead this whole situation.
-
And then the last one is in Galatians 313, he said you know, christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law being made a curse for us, because, he said, cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree.
-
So the third point is no one can curse what God has blessed.
-
No one can curse what God has blessed.
-
In Numbers 23 and 24, balak had hired the false prophet Balem to curse Israel.
-
Israel was just multiplying.
-
They were just man, I mean, they were a force to be reckoned with.
-
And Balak was mad and he heard about Balem.
-
He said come over here, I wanna pay you whatever you want and just curse these people.
-
And he got up there, overlooking all of the flocks and all of the people, and he wound up blessing Israel three times and Balak got some mad at him.
-
You know, and look at Deuteronomy 23.
-
No one can curse what God has blessed.
-
Has God blessed you?
-
Well, nobody can curse you.
-
In Deuteronomy 23, five Nevertheless, the Lord thy God would not hearken under Balem, but the Lord thy God turned the curse into a blessing under thee because the Lord thy God loved thee.
-
I'm telling you, when people curse you, when the government curses you, when the county attorney curses you and the mayor of Houston curses you and whoever else curses you, god turns the curse into a blessing.
-
Everybody say I am blessed To be a blessing.
-
Come on, lift your hands.
-
Believe the blessing this morning.
-
Believe the blessing this morning, hallelujah.
