  1. Those of you out there, just pick up your Bibles and wave them around and make Jesus glad and the devil mad, just like we always do.

  2. And let's say this together say Heavenly Father, I'm watching by live stream, but my heart is open to receive revelation, knowledge.

  3. I need inspiration, but even more than inspiration, I need information.

  4. I want to be informed of my rights and privileges under the new covenant, and I will be a doer of the Word, not just a hero, and I will gain the victory in Jesus' name, amen.

  5. Let's turn in our Bibles to John, chapter 14.

    John 14 chapter mention

  6. And we'll continue along the lines of this subject Faith makes a demand.

  7. Faith makes a demand.

  8. John, chapter 14, verse 13,.

    John 14:13

  9. Jesus is speaking to the disciples on the night before he's crucified and he said Whatsoever you shall ask in my name you know, whatsoever that's a pretty big, that takes in a whole lot of territory whatsoever and whatsoever you shall ask in my name, that will I do that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

  10. If you shall ask anything in my name, I will do it.

  11. That's got to be two of the most astounding verses in the Bible.

  12. These were not promises, these are facts.

  13. These are facts.

  14. This is the fact of the Word of God whatsoever and anything.

  15. Just think about those two words that Jesus spoke.

  16. Jesus in red here.

  17. Jesus spoke them.

  18. I mean you know, and how many of you know, he wasn't exaggerating in my name.

  19. And so we've been examining the last two weeks and this will be our third week about these verses and the word ask.

  20. There it means to call for, to require or to demand your due.

  21. These verses have nothing to do with prayer.

  22. They're not.

  23. They're not supplication or prayer.

  24. They are referring to our making a demand on our covenant.

  25. And I know what some of you are thinking.

  26. I mean you mean I should demand from God, like I demand God, that you this, no, no, you're making a demand on your covenant.

  27. Faith makes a demand.

  28. You're demanding on the basis of your covenant.

  29. See another word where we can say it is we're, we're, we're making a demand because of our covenant.

  30. And so that demand is not a demand from God, but it's a demand that the problem, that the infirmity, that the lack, that the pain get out in Jesus' name.

  31. Whatever is facing you, that that needs to leave, you have a right to demand it to go in Jesus' name.

  32. The key is Jesus' name, he said in my name, in my name, anything and whatsoever.

  33. What, what a fact.

  34. And so then last week we went over to John, chapter 15, the very next verse, and at the very next occasion he's still speaking to them at that, at that time.

    John 15 chapter mention

  35. And in John 15, he said, in verse seven he said if you abide in me and my word abides in you, my words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you.

  36. Herein is my father glorified, that you bear much fruit, so shall you be my disciples.

  37. And so last week we talked about faith makes a demand.

  38. And here is another pair of verses, and this is the same word to ask.

  39. It means to make a demand, it means to demand your doer to require or to call for.

  40. It is a very aggressive, authoritative word.

  41. And who do we again?

  42. Who are we demanding?

  43. Well, we're demanding sickness to go, we're demanding whatever contrary circumstance to go, and so.

  44. But it's in this, in this verse, it gives you a couple of conditions.

  45. It says if so, when you see the word, if you realize there's a condition attached to this command, he said if, number one, you abide in me well, we talked about that If you're born again, then you automatically abide in him, because the minute you got saved, the minute you were born again, the Holy Spirit took and baptized you into the body of Christ.

  46. You became one with Jesus.

  47. So that means that these verses work for believers, they work for those who are born again.

  48. So that's condition number one, and there's an and there, and and means you've got a second condition that also must be met, and that second condition is and my words abide in you.

  49. Well, the His words abide in you to the degree that you act on or to the degree that you allow the word to govern your life.

  50. And see, that varies in different people.

  51. Some people don't have all of their declarations and their demands met because they they miss out on on part number two.

  52. They're not allowing the Word of God to to dwell in them sufficiently.

  53. They're not giving honor to the Word in their life by obeying it or by acting on it.

  54. You know, faith means acting like the Bible is true.

  55. That's what faith is, and the just shall live by faith, they shall live by their faith.

  56. And so these are two non negotiable conditions that have to be met in order for you to be able to have your demands obeyed.

  57. And so tonight I wanted to go in a similar direction and use a couple of different verses that you may have seen, may have made an out of scene, but Matthew, chapter 16.

    Matthew 16 chapter mention

  58. This is at a time before.

  59. What we're talking about is, or is, chronology.

  60. The verses we read tonight were both out of John and they were both the night before he was crucified, but Matthew 16 is sometime earlier, wanted you to see this.

  61. And there were Matthew 16, verse 19.

    Matthew 16:19

  62. And I will give thee, I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

  63. So here we see again, whatsoever Jesus is speaking here, he says I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom.

  64. Now he's talking specifically to Peter, but he's really talking to all the disciples and he's talking to us.

  65. He's given us the keys of the kingdom.

  66. You know, when Jesus appeared to John in the Isle of Potmos in the book of Revelation, he said I am he that liveth.

  67. And I was dead.

  68. And behold, I'm alive forevermore and I have the keys of hell and death.

  69. Keys represent authority.

  70. They represent authority.

  71. And so Jesus got the keys and gave them to us.

  72. This is why I keep saying this over and over again we have more to do with the coronavirus ending than medical science.

  73. You just need to get ahold of it, folks.

  74. I mean I'm not ashamed to say it, because Jesus said it we have more to do with getting rid of the coronavirus than medical science, and we need to understand that fact.

  75. So until you understand it, then you're going to walk in the babyhood stage of Christianity, always blaming God for what happens, always, you know, whining and moaning and groaning about the circumstances.

  76. When you grow up and you realize God gave you the keys, he gave you the keys to the Ferrari.

  77. You don't have to hitchhike anymore, you've got the keys.

  78. I was watching the Mecom auto auctions the other night.

  79. They really had a beautiful Ferrari.

  80. It went across anyway.

  81. I'm a car nut.

  82. I still like cars.

  83. So we have the keys.

  84. And he said whatsoever.

  85. And he uses two words.

  86. He says whatever you bind, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in the heavens and heaven and whatever you loose on earth will get more into the meaning of those words in a moment.

  87. And then I wanted to share with you in the book of Job, turn over to the book of Psalms, and the book of Job is right before that, 22, job 22.

  88. This is a verse I got ahold of many, many years ago.

  89. I use it without even thinking about it.

  90. Sometimes I remember to call it, but most of the time I just decree verse 22, 28.

  91. Chapter 22, verse 28 thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established under thee, and the light shall shine upon your ways.

  92. You shall decree a thing, and it shall be established under you, and the light shall shine upon your ways.

  93. So here we've been given authority by Jesus.

  94. Well, that's Old Testament, I know, but you see, it's a shadow, it's a foreshadowing of what we have in the new.

  95. I mean, look at the patriarchs and the kind of authority they had.

  96. I mean, you know, I mean you had Joshua, had the son stand still a whole day so he could finish, you know, killing the enemy, the Amalekites, and you had a son dog go backwards.

  97. So time not only stood still, it went backwards.

  98. It went backwards, the whole universe went backwards at the command of the prophet, and on and on.

  99. I mean we, we see this massive kinds of authority that regular men had with God.

  100. I mean, god held up judgment on Sodom and Gomorrah at the, at the word of Abraham, he would not let it happen until he made intercession.

  101. And finally, when he, when he finished praying and he didn't go far enough, well then then God was able to send the, the angels over there and destroy it.

  102. So, yes, they had authority at time.

  103. But we have this authority.

  104. Every believer has this wonderful authority.

  105. It's not just the priests, the prophet and the king, it's not just special people, it's not just the pastor, it's every believer has this authority and we can make decrees.

  106. See, there's not much difference between a decree and a demand.

  107. That's what I wanted you to see.

  108. The Old Testament said decree, and then we're talking about making a demand.

  109. Faith makes a demand.

  110. Or we could say it this way faith makes decrees.

  111. Aren't these governors and these mayors and these county judges all across our country?

  112. Aren't they making decrees?

  113. They're making.

  114. They're making under the force and penalty of law, just their words alone.

  115. No one, no one gave them any authority.

  116. There's no authority in the Constitution them to do this.

  117. They've just done it.

  118. And nobody fought them.

  119. Almost everybody obeyed them like a bunch of sheep.

  120. And you know, I'm sorry, but they don't have that kind of authority.

  121. They can't take our rights from us unless we let them.

  122. And so but they're, they're real comfortable making these decrees.

  123. You know what we need to make some decrees back up against their decrees, and so decrees see so, as believers, we have authority to bind.

  124. That word bind means to forbid, it means to throw into chains.

  125. You've heard people say I've bind you devil.

  126. We say that a lot we buy I've bind you devil in Jesus name, and what we're saying is we're buying, we're wrapping up in chains, and so we can bind, we can restrict, we can forbid the enemy in certain areas.

  127. And Jesus said whatever we do, whatever we forbid on earth, is forbidden in heaven.

  128. Well, he's not talking about heaven where God is, he's talking about the second heaven.

  129. Remember back when we were talking about our inheritance.

  130. And there is a second heaven.

  131. That is where the demonic powers rule and reign.

  132. And this is the same place where the angel was sent.

  133. When Daniel prayed and, and and it was 21 days after he prayed that the angel reached her earth and and said old Daniel, greatly beloved, at the, at your first prayer, I came, but the Prince of Persia withheld me one in 20 days, so they had a conflict in the heavenly places.

  134. This place just above the earth's atmosphere, is a, a place where principalities and powers and higher rulers of darkness have free reign.

  135. And so we sometimes we must bind on earth, and whatever we bind on earth is automatically backed up in the heavenlies.

  136. We don't have to go up there and fight that battle us.

  137. I hear a lot of people trying to get up there and pray up there.

  138. No, we don't have to pray up there, we pray down here.

  139. We get this done down here and God backs us up up there and whatever ways that he deems necessary and usually means angels are gonna go and get, get the answer back through.

  140. Are you with me now?

  141. I like them.

  142. And so whatever we buy, what so ever?

  143. That's what Jesus said.

  144. So that takes in a whole lot of territory.

  145. It's very similar to Matt, to to the other verses, john 14 and John 15, that we read.

  146. So we can forbid or we can throw into chains, and not only demons but also any activity that we don't want to happen.

  147. We can bind sickness, we can bind viruses, we can bind anything, and then it says and whatever we loose or untie or permit or allow, he said to the woman, he said that woman that was bowed over by the waist, you know, jesus told her, says woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.

  148. And he said Satan had bound her low these 18 years.

  149. So there was a perfect example.

  150. Jesus loosed her and let her go free, and she just straightened up instantly when he laid his hands on her.

  151. Boom, she straightened up.

  152. Well, that was Jesus, and so that was a man in order to God.

  153. That was a man, that was one of our representatives, just like you and I.

  154. He was an order to God, and so, in other words, our binding and our loosing that Jesus said that there were keys to the kingdom of heaven.

  155. These are the keys that we need to operate in if we're going to have authority, kingdom authority.

  156. We have kingdom authority that supersedes man.

  157. Now, I'm not saying we should be lawless, and I'm not saying we can pick and choose.

  158. I'm saying, though, that there comes a time when the church has to rise up, when the Bible conflicts with man's edicts, or man's.

  159. I mean, you know, you've got the.

  160. You've got the governor of California that's writing every illegal alien a $500 check.

  161. We're jamming the phone lines.

  162. Well, I don't blame them, but then in the, in just a couple of days ago, he wants to have a bailout.

  163. You and I need to provide tax money for California to do this kind of silly stuff, all the weird, goofy, ignorant things that California does.

  164. We're supposed to back them up.

  165. I say no, I speak against that.

  166. I don't want my money going there.

  167. Let them go broke.

  168. Let them go belly up.

  169. Whatever happens, let it happen.

  170. Let it happen.

  171. You know, a few years ago New York city went bankrupt.

  172. I don't know, wasn't that terrible it came.

  173. It was better there after that, after they went bankrupt and couldn't pay any of their bonds and anything, and then, you know, they was better there for a while.

  174. It's gone back down to the dogs again, but anyway, all right, so we can decree, we can make these declarations.

  175. So these declarations are performed in the heavenlies, in the second heaven we're ruling, powers operate.

  176. So, in other words, our binding and our loosing happen in the spirit realm, or you could say, in the causal realm.

  177. Okay, what do you mean?

  178. Oh, pass what, where everything happens.

  179. You've heard me say this many times.

  180. I want to repeat it the causal healing starts in the spirit realm.

  181. It doesn't start when you go to the doctor.

  182. It doesn't start when you get the diagnostic test, the MRI, the x-ray.

  183. It doesn't start there, it starts in the spirit realm.

  184. When you, as a believer, use the keys of your authority and you make a decree, you make a demand for that infirmity to go, for that pain to go.

  185. It starts right there.

  186. And where is that battle taking place?

  187. In your body?

  188. No, it's taking place in the spirit realm.

  189. Now you know sometimes you have to have patience after you've done that that things start to line up in the natural realm.

  190. See, are you following me tonight?

  191. It's important for us to get a hold of this, because faith makes it a man and your faith can be hurt when you don't know how to stand on the words that you've spoken.

  192. So the word decree there in Job 22 is very similar then to demand.

  193. And he said in Job 22, it shall be established.

  194. That word established means to be built up like a house.

  195. I mean the house starts rising up out of the ground when you make decrees.

  196. I mean buildings start to come up.

  197. Creation begins when you decree things.

  198. That's exactly what God did.

  199. He decreed this world into existence.

  200. He spoke it.

  201. I know you've heard that a million times.

  202. But see, your life is no different.

  203. You can construct.

  204. You can construct, you can start to build things that are not there.

  205. You can tear things down that need to come out.

  206. You know, I did a bunch of work on my house, you know, a couple of years ago and there's a whole bunch of stuff had to come out of there.

  207. I tore all the cabinet doors off, all the cabinet drawers out of the kitchen.

  208. We completely rearranged the kitchen, completely redesigned the.

  209. I had a cooktop in the island.

  210. I moved the cooktop to another wall, I moved the refrigerator from one wall to another.

  211. I mean, I just I just kind of shuffled the dominoes in that kitchen.

  212. You know it was a whole lot of work, it was a whole lot of mess, it was a whole lot of time and a whole lot of painting and a whole lot of cabinet work and all that.

  213. But man, it doesn't even look like the same and it isn't the same.

  214. I mean, the elements are the same but they're in different places.

  215. Why would you do that?

  216. Cause I just wanted to.

  217. That's what I saw I didn't like after living there for 20-something years.

  218. We just saw some, some things that we didn't like and we corrected some defects and all of that kind of thing.

  219. You can do this with your words.

  220. You can.

  221. You can begin to construct things that aren't there.

  222. You can tear stuff out that needs to come out, praise God.

  223. So Mark 11, 23,.

  224. You know you can't leave that out when you're talking about words.

  225. Jesus gave us the definition of faith.

  226. You know.

  227. He says in Mark 11, 23, whosoever shall say unto this now, be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea, shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe those things which he saith shall come to pass.

  228. He shall have whatsoever he saith.

  229. The Holy Spirit pointed out one time to Brother Hagin that in that verse it only says faith or believe one time and it says say, or some version of say, three times.

  230. So it's important.

  231. Your words are so important.

  232. Certainly what you believe are important, but people according to the Holy Ghost, he told Brother Hagin.

  233. He said my people are not missing it on what they believe, but primarily they're missing it on what they're saying.

  234. And you're going to have to teach them three times more on what to say is what to believe.

  235. So your believing can be right, but you're saying wrong.

  236. You won't get any results because you don't get what you believe.

  237. You get what you say.

  238. So the definition of faith faith is believing in your heart that what you say comes to pass.

  239. Faith is believing in your heart that what you say comes to pass.

  240. That's the simple definition of faith that Jesus gave us.

  241. So in other words, demands, decrees, binding and loosing all involve faith filled words.

  242. When you're making a decree, it won't do any good if you don't decree correctly and if you don't believe what you say comes to pass, then the decree just falls down and nothing happens.

  243. And then you get discouraged and you say, well, I tried that.

  244. Well, no, you don't try it.

  245. You do it.

  246. People try this faith.

  247. Well, I think I'll try that faith business.

  248. No, you'll never make it and you don't get.

  249. You know you don't graduate from high school the first year.

  250. You know you go through a long progression.

  251. In this country it's 12 years before you get to graduate high school, and that's the way it is in the spirit realm.

  252. You're going to have to operate at the place where you are and begin to start with simple things and simple decrees and declarations and demands and you'll begin to be.

  253. You know, jesus said, so shall you be my disciples, that you bear much fruit.

  254. This is what God's expecting of the church.

  255. He's expecting churches to stand up and speak decrees that are greater in power than the line of Hidalgos.

  256. My goodness, this girl shut the whole rodeo down for nothing and listen.

  257. We need to stand up and put some things into motion.

  258. Let's get this town back to work.

  259. Let's get our kids back in school.

  260. Let's get the sports programs they need.

  261. They need this.

  262. They're doing study.

  263. After their people are ringing the alarm.

  264. They're saying, oh, our kids are suffering.

  265. They're suffering for not being in school.

  266. Some of them are falling far behind because their parents are working and they're not homeschooling them and so they're not doing well.

  267. And where are those kids that are not doing well?

  268. There are all the poor kids that were at risk to begin with and this all started.

  269. Oh, but the Democrats care so much.

  270. They don't care much.

  271. What they care about is having a permanent underclass, and they're they're creating one.

  272. So we need to create the permanent upper class.

  273. Amen, let's build some things with our decrees and our words.

  274. Amen.

  275. I got a simple question.

  276. Do you believe what you say comes to pass?

  277. Do you believe that what you say comes to pass?

  278. And if you answer yes, then you better be paying attention to what you're saying.

  279. What if you say something that you wish you hadn't said?

  280. Or while I was just joking?

  281. See, how does how, does your angel know whether you're joking or not?

  282. See, I'm talking to myself now, cause you know, all my life sarcasm has been one of my faults.

  283. I mean, I don't think sarcasm is really very godly.

  284. So you know, sarcasm, it says one thing and means another, and so let's let's just let our yay be yay or nay be nay, let's let's think about what we're saying before we say it, and let's really believe what we say comes to pass.

  285. I mean, that's a disciplined Christian disciple as a disciplined one, and I believe the church has to grow in this area.

  286. We have to all grow in this area so that we can Accomplish what God has.

  287. This, these, these, these are the last days.

  288. These are the last days, and so it's good to keep in mind.

  289. Do you believe what you say comes to pass?

  290. No, years ago I Was this is about this time a little earlier, but probably about, oh, I would say, the winter of 1988, and I was working for a remodeling company.

  291. I hated every day of work, but it was a work.

  292. It, you know, paid some of the bills, not all of them and and I had been a home builder for years and and and I had to get out of the business.

  293. And this is what I was doing, you know, to feed my family, and, and so I read an article in the Chronicle about West University place.

  294. At that time they were just starting to tear down old houses that had been built in the 20s, and they were tear down these old Houses his wood frame houses sitting up on concrete blocks and build brand new $300,000 two-story cubes.

  295. That's, that's all they could put on there, because the lots were 50 by 100, little, old, tiny lots and they just so.

  296. I went over there one day I think it's probably about about early March and I drove through there and I was just amazed.

  297. I got out of the car, I walked in one of the houses and I just thought, man, they're getting 300,000 for this thing.

  298. I mean, it was just inferior, in my way of thinking, from what I've been building out in suburbs.

  299. The trim wasn't as nice, and I did have some.

  300. It had ten foot ceilings downstairs, nine foot upstairs, so it was nice that way.

  301. But it was just plain looking just a big old red brick cube.

  302. No, no, nothing Pretty about it, you know, just just real plain and the cabinet tree, whatever.

  303. And then when I came out the door I got a whiff of a lot down the street where they had just a Demolished a house and the earth was all turned over and they were about to set forms and poor slab, and I smell that dirt and it brought back, flooding back in my memories of my building days.

  304. It's funny how your sense of smell can take you back to places and and I just suddenly I teared up and I felt such a love for the building business and such a desire, and and so I didn't let myself Go any further, because I'm working for a home builder in a remodeling company, so I thought, well, maybe he'd be interested in that.

  305. So a couple months later, you know, he, he, oh.

  306. But between then and another time I was at a meeting at church at Lakewood and one of the Ladies, she was an older prayer warrior.

  307. I knew.

  308. I didn't know her well, but I knew her.

  309. She was, she was a prayer warrior, one of these ladies that gave, gave herself to prayer and she was walking down the aisle.

  310. I was sitting on the aisle and she said oh, brother, john.

  311. She said I was praying the other day and the Lord gave, put your face in front of me and I heard one word and it was promotion and God had spoken that same word.

  312. I've been, I've been confessing the word promotion.

  313. You know I would have God Promotion coming, not in the south, the east or west, but God as a judge, he puts down one set, sets up another.

  314. So I've been Confessing and see, confessing is very similar.

  315. I'm not talking about confession tonight, but it's very similar to the decree.

  316. It's very similar.

  317. It's not exactly the same.

  318. We might not talk about that next week, but anyway.

  319. So I really felt a Confirmation of my direction, what I was headed.

  320. So I got a call from my boss and he called me up and and I thought maybe he wanted to talk about and I'd mentioned it.

  321. I said, man, I looked at West you on my day off here a couple weeks ago.

  322. Man, it's really amazing in there.

  323. Yeah, I heard about it, but that's not what he wanted to talk about.

  324. He wanted to let me go, he fired me and and they felt so bad.

  325. So, john, what are you gonna do?

  326. I said, oh, I'm gonna do what I did before I got this job.

  327. I won't trust the Lord.

  328. He's, he's my supply, he's, he's not caught by surprise.

  329. So I got in my car, left down just driving, he lived in the woodlands and and I was backing out of the, out of the, the driveway, and that word promotion, came into my mind and I thought you know what?

  330. I can choose to think that I just got fired, that I just got laid off, or I can choose to say that this is a promotion.

  331. So I decreed that it was a promotion.

  332. This is a promotion.

  333. This is what had to happen for my heart desire to be fulfilled.

  334. This is a promotion.

  335. And I mean I kept decreeing that, declaring that, all the way home.

  336. Now, gladys didn't see it the same way at first.

  337. I mean, she was, she was not very happy, but you know what it led to, about five or six weeks later, me being in the home building business in West University Place.

  338. And so, god, and so I, you know, I'm telling you right now I've been, I've been, I've got a hold of these decree and the clearing things and Demanding things of my covenant years and years ago.

  339. I've lived this way.

  340. This church has built this direction this way, and I encourage you to Think about do you believe that what you say comes to pass Because you have the power and you have the keys to the kingdom of heaven in your mouth?

  341. You have those keys in your mouth.

  342. Faith makes a demand.

  343. Hallelujah, come on, lift your hands and receive the word of God tonight.

  344. Praise God.
