  2. Make Jesus glad in the devil mad.

  3. Let's say this together say heavenly father, I'm tuned in to glorious way church live stream on Wednesday night and I'm tuned in with ears to hear what the Spirit is telling me.

  4. Now I need the Holy Spirit and the Word of God fully functioning in my life.

  5. I draw near to God and he draws near to me in Jesus' name.

  6. Amen, amen, amen.

  7. Let's look at Acts, chapter 26, and also Hebrews 13.

    Acts 26 chapter mention

  8. We'll start with Acts first, and this is in my normal reading.

  9. I've been in the book of Acts all the way until today and I just turned into Romans.

  10. Acts 26, 22,.

  11. This is Paul about to testify and give his testimony to King Agrippa.

  12. And he said in verse 22, he's telling King Agrippa this.

  13. He said having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day witnessing both the small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come.

  14. And then in Hebrews 13,.

  15. Well, let me just say this before we leave it Acts 26, 22,.

  16. In the Amplified, it says this day I have had the help which comes from God as my ally.

  17. I have had the help which comes from God as my ally.

  18. And then in Hebrews, chapter 13, very powerful verse, verse five.

    Hebrews 13 chapter mention

  19. In the second part of the verse it says for he hath said I will never leave thee nor forsake thee, so that we may boldly say the Lord is my helper and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

  20. And so tonight I wanted to share a message entitled the Holy Helper.

  21. You may have heard the message on Sunday where we talked about Holy Ghost anchors and we talked about that out of Acts 27 where they threw four anchors out of the ship and wished for the day they needed to be stabilized in their journey toward this island that they were looking for and they were being tossed on the seas and it could be that some of you in circumstances, are beginning to move you and toss you around and you need anchor and sometimes you need the Holy Helper.

  22. I'm so glad that I mean who hasn't needed help from God?

  23. I mean all of us at one time or another need help and when we do, thank God it's available.

  24. And notice Paul he said this day so that told me that in his prayer time before he appeared before King Agrippa, I know he prayed God, give me unction and others help me to speak the truth, help me to speak the witness that I have, the testimony that I have, in a powerful way to touch this King.

  25. And sure enough that King later on, after Paul got in the midst of his testimony, he said almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.

  26. I mean it was a powerful word that he brought.

  27. So God, as his ally, helped him make the case, helped him talk about Jesus.

  28. And so the Bible says he continued, paul continued, he kept on taking action.

  29. He didn't just retire after he was arrested and all of that.

  30. He was under custody with Roman soldiers.

  31. And then later on he goes on that voyage in chapter 27, shipwrecked.

  32. And then it gets on the Isle of Malta in chapter 28, snake bit.

  33. I mean, all these things befell him, but he continued.

  34. He didn't stop teaching, preaching, healing, riding, laboring, and the God, the Holy Spirit, was busy helping Paul as his ally.

  35. Just think about God, the third person that God had, being your ally.

  36. That's a powerful word, ally and or another word is his holy helper.

  37. The Holy Spirit was Paul's holy helper and so that if we need help, say notice when we need help.

  38. He said this day, this day, so it wasn't like he prayed six months ago and he was just assuming no, but it was fresh.

  39. This day, I have had the help I have.

  40. He could have said it this way I have received the help that comes from God as my ally, and so help is available, no matter what you're going through.

  41. Hebrews 4.16 says come bold into the throne of grace to obtain mercy and to find the grace to help in time of need.

  42. And it could be that you're in a time of need.

  43. You know this happens to be our greatest year yet, and I'm not stopping believing that.

  44. I believe that God knew what he was saying when he said it.

  45. Back September of 2019, on a Sunday night, god just came out with this word to our church and we planted our faith in that word.

  46. And, because of circumstances, we're not gonna just say, well, I guess God didn't really mean it, I guess we miss God.

  47. No, we this.

  48. A lot of what we're going through is the devil's opposition to what God wants for each one of us.

  49. It doesn't say it's just gonna come easily.

  50. It means that we need help from God as our ally, and so we just need to come boldly to the throne of grace, and that's why it says here in Hebrews 13.5,.

  51. You know that we may boldly say the Lord is my helper, I'll not fear what man will do unto me.

  52. In fact, there in Hebrews 13, it says, you know it says, for he has said I will never leave thee nor forsake thee.

  53. And as a double negative, in other words, I will never leave thee, no, not ever.

  54. You know that's literally what it says I will never leave thee nor forsake thee.

  55. No, not ever.

  56. So talk about emphatic.

  57. And I know that when we first began this journey about opposing these stay-at-home orders and the fact that the church was not an essential business as far as Harris County was concerned, or the city of Houston, and you know, I was prepared to just have civil disobedience from the word go.

  58. And then I had a twinge and I felt in my heart that we should follow the president's request.

  59. He asked to give it two weeks and we gave that two weeks.

  60. You'll remember when this first started in the middle of March.

  61. So from the middle of March to the first part of April, we gave it that two weeks.

  62. And then during that two weeks, I saw that we could easily be as safe quote unquote as H-E-B or Brandles or any other grocery store and there was no real reason for us not to be able to meet.

  63. And even if you believe all of their fake science which is fake science, the mass of fake science and this is my opinion, you don't have to believe me.

  64. I had somebody disagree with me last Sunday as a visitor.

  65. It's okay, I told her she didn't have to agree with me, but I warned her.

  66. This is what you're going to hear, so if it irritates you, well, I just want to give you a fair warning.

  67. It's fake.

  68. I mean, I've been getting all the information.

  69. I mean, you know, fauci started off saying you don't need a mask, don't buy a mask.

  70. Well, did he lie then?

  71. If he's a liar, then he's still a liar.

  72. If he tells you that you need one now because he lied, then If he told the truth, then when did it change?

  73. See, neither one.

  74. Let's think.

  75. Let's not be so ready to comply with people that are unelected government bureaucrats, that are not really that expert in what they're saying and doing.

  76. They're more politically expert than they are medically expert.

  77. And so, anyway, on that Monday I was driving down here down the corner and I said join, and I saw the sign in our yard here at the church, it said join us for Easter services.

  78. And tears welled up in my eyes and I thought you know what?

  79. There's just no way We've got to have church.

  80. And then we found out about a lawsuit.

  81. We joined that lawsuit.

  82. As soon as the governor saw that lawsuit, he changed the directives to churches and opened the churches up to their discretion, and the rest is history.

  83. But let me tell you, when we first started this and we started getting the threatening phone calls and we started getting the negative Facebook reviews and people started criticizing us, it felt a little bit.

  84. I felt pretty alone.

  85. Thank you for standing with us, by the way, I knew I wasn't, but I began to quote this verse.

  86. I said God, I'm so glad you're my ally, I am glad that I have an alliance with the most high God and, of course, you know, some of the other help started coming out of the woodwork and listen, folks, we need to stand up for what's right, we need to stand up for the truth and we must not comply with illegal, unconstitutional government regulations.

  87. And they still are unconstitutional.

  88. I mean every one of these regulations.

  89. Really.

  90. The experts all say they're unconstitutional.

  91. Why are they still going on.

  92. Well, we know what the Supreme Court is.

  93. It's a you know.

  94. You never know what you're gonna get when you get to the Supreme Court.

  95. You never know.

  96. You got a solid case and they vote against you.

  97. So it's pretty.

  98. It's a lot going on right now.

  99. So where are we?

  100. Well, we need God as our ally.

  101. That's what we need.

  102. That's the point of this message.

  103. The Holy Helper responds to holy boldness.

  104. Let's be bold.

  105. What can man do unto us?

  106. What can COVID-19 do unto us?

  107. What can the Supreme Court's decisions do unto us?

  108. Listen, let's just keep speaking the truth, no matter who had identified us with or separates us from.

  109. In John chapter 14, jesus, on the night before he was crucified, was broaching the subject of the Holy Spirit to his disciples, and they were sad because he was leaving and they didn't understand it.

    John 14 chapter mention

  110. And Jesus said, in John 14, 16, he said I will pray the Father and he will give you another comforter.

  111. See, I'm a comforter, I know how to comfort you, but I will pray when I leave.

  112. I'll pray the Father and he'll give you another comforter, that he may abide with you forever.

  113. Even the spirit of truth.

  114. There, it is right.

  115. There, the spirit of truth.

  116. You know, the spirit of truth is not gonna be very active in the church.

  117. When the church gives in the lies, when the church lies, or when the church repeats the lies of men, the Holy Spirit, the spirit of truth, is not gonna help that.

  118. The spirit of truth helps the truth and helps those who stand for the truth.

  119. I tell you, that's why God is helping us, hallelujah, because we're standing for the truth.

  120. So he said he'll send you another comforter.

  121. Abide with you forever, even the spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him, but you know him, for he dwelleth with you and shall be in you.

  122. So he wasn't yet in them because they weren't born again yet.

  123. But once Jesus died on the cross and they were born again, the Holy Spirit took up residence on the inside of them.

  124. Now he's on the inside of you and I, the Holy Helper, lives on the inside.

  125. We need to not forget that.

  126. And the word comforter there is the Greek word paracletos, and the amplified calls it counselor, helper.

  127. This is the meanings in the Greek according to the amplified Bible counselor, helper, inaccessor, advocate, strengtheter, standby.

  128. And you know in one Bible dictionary that I was reading William Barclay's translation of the book of John.

  129. Brother Mark Hankins uses that a lot, that a lot out.

  130. And so, because he quotes that, I bought that book.

  131. It's a book about this thick, just on the gospel of John.

  132. And he said really there's not a good translation of the word paracletos.

  133. It's difficult to get it into English language, you see, because the Greek is so specific and the amplified did a pretty good job.

  134. But he said a better way to say it is the one who, when you have gone past the breaking point you would otherwise completely collapse, but the helper keeps you from collapsing.

  135. Have you ever been that close to collapsing?

  136. That's when you need the Holy Helper.

  137. That's when you need the paracletos.

  138. That's when you need the comforter.

  139. Sometimes we think comforter, like oh, poor baby, you know, put us on the head.

  140. That kind of comfort.

  141. No, this comfort is much stronger, it's much bolder, it's much more supportive.

  142. I'm telling you, it puts steel in your backbone.

  143. Praise God and think about this.

  144. He lives in you forever.

  145. He's not just there just a little while, he's not just coming and going, he's there forever.

  146. And then he said here even the spirit of truth whom the world cannot receive.

  147. This is why the world is so crazy.

  148. They have no wisdom, they have not the Holy Spirit, they don't have the comforter, they don't have the strengthener, they don't have anything.

  149. All they've got is their God, which is the devil.

  150. He's the father of lies, he's a murderer from the beginning.

  151. I mean, is there any mystery about these mobs and these riots?

  152. They all result in death.

  153. I mean, it's bad enough that you see things burn down.

  154. It's bad enough that you see glass breaking, all of that and people are roughed up, but people are dying in these riots.

  155. And then you know news media is just doing a lousy job of covering the death.

  156. But the death instruction in this country is an alarming situation and every red-blooded American, whatever their color, ought to rise up and renounce this type of thing and get rid of it.

  157. Any political party like the Democrats that think that this is okay, they ought to be voted out.

  158. That's the enemy of the American people and the news media.

  159. Well, what can we do about the news media?

  160. Well, we can take away their right to be sued.

  161. Freedom of the press is a precious freedom and they violated it.

  162. And I think we could make a case on some of these individual networks that they've lied so long that they ought to be treated differently than a regular news outlet.

  163. There's very little news being propagated, it's mostly just a narrative takes the place of news, somebody's decision of what he wants the truth to be.

  164. He makes it up.

  165. Listen, folks, these are all enemies of the American people.

  166. So this strengthener, this standby, the world cannot have him.

  167. The world doesn't know him, but you know him and he dwells with you, shall be in you.

  168. Verse 18, I will not leave you comfortless, I will come to you.

  169. So his is promised that he's coming back from the grave.

  170. That's where his promise, right here, he said I'll come to you, and he did, didn't he?

  171. Three days later he came back and he spent another 40 days with him, but the amplified in verse 18, it says we are not orphans, we are not comfortless, we're not desolate, we're not bereaved, we're not forlorn, we're not helpless.

  172. Let's face it Sometimes, aren't we tempted to feel helpless?

  173. I mean, I was tempted today that the decision came down from the Supreme Court that basically said that the civil rights bill of 1964, the word sex meant sexual orientation and they decided to give them special privileges, the LGBTQ plus, whatever the letters are.

  174. It goes on and they add letters to it.

  175. Every time I'm looking, there's more and more different.

  176. And all of these people, according to the Supreme Court, they need special rights and privileges for behavior that they choose.

  177. They're not born with it.

  178. There has been no scientific evidence that there's any DNA associated with it.

  179. It is a.

  180. It really, up until about five years ago, was all of those issues were basically designated as mental illness and suddenly, in five years, something changed.

  181. I don't know what politics.

  182. The Democrats went further left because the moderate Democrats have disappeared.

  183. So, folks, we need to educate ourselves.

  184. Everything now.

  185. Well, you just talk about politics too much.

  186. I just tuned in for the word.

  187. I'm giving you the word, and politics is another version of truth, and the spirit of truth is helping me make the case, because some people, if I've got to keep trying to prevent you, maybe you need to.

  188. Maybe you need to go on a fast and seek the Lord.

  189. Maybe he'll show you what he showed me 25 years ago.

  190. All right, so we're not orphans, we're not comfortless, we're not desolate, we're not bereaved, we're not for on, we're not helpless, you know, we're not destroyed, we're not helpless.

  191. And I and I and I, that day when that when that decision came down, I had that kind of a helpless feeling like what, how in the world are we going to change this?

  192. Well, I tell you what we're going to change it one step at a time.

  193. That's all I know.

  194. We are a nation of laws and the rule of law eventually is going to win over any poor decision made by the Supreme court.

  195. And so let's, let's, let's not be helpless.

  196. We've got God is our ally on the inside.

  197. We have God as our ally in the person of the Holy Spirit.

  198. Praise God.

  199. So obtaining holy help, supernatural help reserved for the righteous.

  200. You know, this kind of help is not available for the, for the lost, it's not available for the, for the atheist, it's not available for those who believe in false gods, it's only available for the righteous.

  201. And thank God, he is available as an ally.

  202. And so notice when Paul said I have obtained this day.

  203. I've obtained, I've obtained help from, from God as my ally.

  204. So the first point is in Mark 11, 24, what things, whoever you desire, when you pray, believe you receive them and you shall have them.

  205. So, do you desire help?

  206. Then pray and ask for help.

  207. That's just very simple.

  208. Simple, we just need to ask for it, ask for help, and when you pray, believe you receive it and you shall have it.

  209. So, in other words, once you've said you know, you boldly say the Lord is my helper, I do not fear.

  210. Father, give me help in this situation in the name of Jesus.

  211. Father, I believe I've received it right now.

  212. Thank you, lord, thank you, thank you, thank you.

  213. Praise God.

  214. I mean we have so many wonderful scriptures that support that idea.

  215. Psalm 46 one God is a very present help in time of trouble.

  216. I mean, he's not just present, he's very present, he's specifically present.

  217. See, that's exactly Paul.

  218. On the day he gave his testimony to King of Gryppo, he had to pray a prayer kind of like this God, I need help.

  219. Today, I'm fixed to speak for this King.

  220. And he wasn't afraid of the King, he wanted to be a witness to the King and I have to believe he was quoting some of these verses, but he didn't doubt he just he went into that hall confident that he had it, had that help that he needed.

  221. So it says believe you receive it and you shall have it.

  222. So listen, don't start trying to look for the help before it gets there.

  223. Sometimes God is working behind the scenes.

  224. Many times he's helping you when you don't even know he's helping you.

  225. But if you've ever asked him for help, he has heard you and he has moved it in your direction.

  226. In Psalm 40, are you getting anything out of this time?

  227. See, that's my whole point of being here.

  228. I want you to get something out of it.

  229. Verse 17, verse 16, let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee.

  230. Let such as love thy salvation say continually the Lord be magnified, but I am poor and needy.

  231. Yet the Lord thinketh upon me.

  232. Thou art my help and my deliverer.

  233. Make no tearing, oh my God.

  234. I like that one too.

  235. Make no tearing, oh my God.

  236. Don't be slow about it, lord.

  237. You know, the Lord has never laid.

  238. He's a little last minute sometime, but he's never laid amen.

  239. And so these verses and many others, I mean God is our help, he's our ally and he's ready to help us if we just ask for it.

  240. So once you have it, then just be very bold to confess it.

  241. You know, I'm not gonna fear what man will do unto me.

  242. The Lord's my ally and God's working behind the scenes.

  243. The second part in obtaining holy help, that supernatural help reserved for the righteous.

  244. The second thing after you've asked for it, believe you receive.

  245. When you ask boldly, say the Lord's my helper, I do not fear.

  246. Then the second thing is do something, lest you do nothing.

  247. Do something lest you do nothing.

  248. My dear, dear friend and one of my favorite ministers and pastors, brother Bill Deerman, and I tell you he was a man that believed in me.

  249. When I met with him I was pretty beat down of life.

  250. It kind of dealt me a few curve balls and I caught them all in the face and a couple of fast balls with him.

  251. But he really believed in me and he encouraged me and that was one of his favorite sayings let's do something lest we do nothing.

  252. Do something lest you do nothing.

  253. Faith, james 2.20 in the Wayman's Translation faith without corresponding action is dead being alone.

  254. If you've got faith, then it ought to have a corresponding action.

  255. Of course we know that words are.

  256. Confession is the initial action, but it often is it takes other action.

  257. You have to have other action to go along with it.

  258. You've got even a cornered animal fights its way out of a corner.

  259. I don't care how wounded that animal is.

  260. It might have a broken leg, it might have a broken back.

  261. You come up on an animal in the wild and you come up on it and you try to do anything for it.

  262. Even if you're trying to help it, that thing is gonna eat you, it's gonna snap at you.

  263. I mean, let's maybe we got hit.

  264. Let's fight back.

  265. Don't just sit there, don't just lay there, don't be so compliant, don't accept it.

  266. Well, we just need to have you got to have coping skills.

  267. He just needs to accept a situation.

  268. No, I'm not accepting sickness and disease.

  269. I'm not accepting lack and poverty.

  270. I'm not accepting anything the devil throws at me, because I know God gave me something better.

  271. In second King seven, verse three, the city was shut up.

  272. The Syrians were camped outside of town and they wouldn't let anything go in or come out, and the people inside the gates were starving and there were four lepers and they said why sit we here till we die?

  273. You know, if we stay here we're gonna die.

  274. If we go out there, we might die or they might capture us and they might feed us.

  275. What have we got to lose?

  276. Kind of reminds me of Donald Trump when he talked to the black folks in America.

  277. You know, they're 98% voted for Obama.

  278. He said what have you got to lose?

  279. You've been voting for Democrats for 50 years.

  280. Vote for me.

  281. What have you got to lose?

  282. I believe a lot of people, a lot of minorities, are opening up their eyes to see that it's not so bad with Donald Trump.

  283. And I heard a wonderful, fine black preacher here in town and Bishop Williams.

  284. He said you know one thing you can say about him he's kept his promises and he has kept his promises to people.

  285. And so why sit we here till we die?

  286. So they got up and they did something against the starvation, they did something against the situation.

  287. They went out the gate, snuck out after dark, went down to the camp of the Syrians and all the Syrians had left because God had sent this loud sound and a sound of chariot wheels and they all were afraid and they fled on foot.

  288. Now they had donkeys, they had horses.

  289. I mean, why wouldn't you jump on a horse and flee?

  290. No, they left the horses and the donkeys behind.

  291. They left their gold, their silver, all their stuff, their garments.

  292. And here are these four lepers and they get out there and they just pig out, they eat, they're full, and then they look at all this and said oh listen, we better go back in town and tell them that the Syrians are gone, because if we don't, then something worse is gonna happen to us.

  293. They had the fear of God hit them.

  294. Then it went back and so it was deliverance for the whole town there.

  295. And just because people decided not to give in, we have to do something.

  296. Unless we do nothing, come on, let's resist the devil, he will flee from us.

  297. I think about, in 2 Kings, chapter four, the widow whose husband died without any life insurance and left her with all the bills to pay.

  298. And she had two sons and the creditors were coming to take her sons because she couldn't pay the bill and so they were valuable, they could go as indentured servants or whatever, and they were gonna just take them, and here she was gonna be left penniless with nobody to help her.

  299. So she cried out to the prophet Elisha and he said well, woman, what have you got in the house?

  300. He said well, I don't have anything except a little pot of oil.

  301. He said go, borrow all the jars you can find.

  302. Borrow, not a few, don't be skimpy.

  303. And she went through town, borrowed all the jars until it filled out the whole house and he said, all right, now you've got all the jars.

  304. Okay, now go start pouring out of what you've got.

  305. And I mean she started pouring out of that.

  306. See, she had to do something unless she'd do nothing.

  307. And she started pouring out this little bit of oil.

  308. Except the oil never did run out.

  309. She just poured out into one jar and another jar and another jar and another jar until all the jars were filled.

  310. And then the oil stayed.

  311. She went back to the profit.

  312. Okay, I filled all the jars.

  313. They're full of oil.

  314. She said, okay, take the oil, sell all the oil, pay your debt and live off the rest.

  315. I mean, not only did she get out of debt, she had plenty of left over to take care of herself for a while.

  316. Plus.

  317. She still had her two boys.

  318. Oh, I tell you, god knows how to make a little bit of something into something great.

  319. I mean, whatever you've got is enough for your miracle.

  320. So don't listen.

  321. Do something for God to get involved with.

  322. That's another way I can put this.

  323. Do something for your ally to get allied with.

  324. If you just sit back and just kind of mope and groan and well, the doctors report, I don't know what to do.

  325. Get busy finding out what to do.

  326. Ask the doctor what are the available treatments.

  327. I mean, you don't have to do any of the treatments if you don't want to, but at least get a plan of attack.

  328. Get something together to know what you're gonna do.

  329. I mean, if you'll get something for God to get involved with, you're gonna know on the inside of you which way to go.

  330. When it's all said and done, you can't steer a ship sitting at the dock.

  331. It's gotta be moving.

  332. Do something, lest you do nothing.

  333. Praise God, I'm gonna maybe bore you with a little health issue here lately, but just in the last few months I was some last year, I guess it was I had an attack early on a Saturday morning.

  334. I woke up like three o'clock in the morning and those my heart was pounding, you know, and then I noticed it was going pretty fast and I checked my pulse.

  335. It was 180 beats a minute and my blood pressure was the same 180 over something.

  336. It was ridiculous.

  337. I never had this thing happen to me like that and I waited a couple of hours and I thought, man, if I go to the emergency room I probably won't be preaching this room.

  338. This is Saturday.

  339. I probably won't be in church Sunday and I hesitated.

  340. So finally I thought, well, I've got to go.

  341. And Gladys and I drove the emergency room and the nurse looked at me and she said, whoa, and it took them all weekend, but they got my heart rate back down.

  342. They got my blood pressure back down, but you know how it is.

  343. They, you know, I don't know, I can't comment on whether they missed the diagnosis of why it happened, but I do know what happened was that they changed my thyroid medication.

  344. My body doesn't make thyroid and so I've always done better.

  345. Once I found that out, I do better on bioidentical thyroid, which is like a armor.

  346. Thyroid works better in me.

  347. Well, they took me off of armor and put me on Centroid and at first I didn't notice any different than weeks went by, a month or two went by and everything calmed down.

  348. And then I started gaining weight and I went in for some blood tests and, man, my blood sugar was high and my A1C was high, and so I went on a kind of a diet and started cutting back.

  349. And then I had another visit with a doctor and the blood sugar was worse, all my numbers were worse.

  350. Everything was worse.

  351. My heart was beating good and everything was good cardiac wise, but all the rest of it was bad and I started noticing a lot of inflammation.

  352. My shoulder was hurting, my elbow was hurting and to the point I couldn't even lift a glass of water.

  353. Like this, right here I lift a glass of water and it hurts so bad I'd have to be like Donald Trump and do like this and bring it to my mouth.

  354. Let me take a sip.

  355. And so I finally went to another doctor.

  356. See, I said this isn't right.

  357. I gained like 30 pounds.

  358. I was heavier than I had been in my whole life.

  359. I was miserable.

  360. I was beginning to get sleep apnea, I was beginning to snore, I was pastured.

  361. You're too much information.

  362. I'm just giving you what I went through.

  363. And I knew it wasn't God.

  364. And all that time I was speaking against these things.

  365. All that time I was speaking the right things.

  366. But I had to do something.

  367. I couldn't just use the words how.

  368. I needed to get a different way to attack this thing.

  369. So I remembered someone in when I was in ISU two years ago for my heart surgery.

  370. She recommended a doctor here in the area.

  371. So I called this doctor up, got an appointment, went to see him and she went through all my records, went through all of my stuff and she was so nice and she recommended a different eating program.

  372. So I got on a different eating program which basically involves like skipping breakfast.

  373. Oh you can't skip.

  374. Well, I'm skipping breakfast.

  375. I mean, I ate that way for many years until somebody made me feel guilty.

  376. But I used to never eat breakfast.

  377. I did just fine.

  378. So I quit eating breakfast.

  379. I eat lunch, I eat dinner and I have some medication I take, and so I go from dinner no later than eight o'clock till noon the next day.

  380. That's about 16 to 18 hours that I don't eat anything, no eating in between meals, and so you basically fast for 16 out of 24 hours.

  381. It sounds terrible, but doing it it was no problem.

  382. And I mean I didn't crave things I did.

  383. And I had no sugar, no sweetener.

  384. That, ooh, that sounds hard.

  385. Well, it wasn't hard after the first couple of days.

  386. No bread, no simple carbohydrate, no baked potatoes and corn on the call, all that starchy stuff.

  387. You can leave that off.

  388. But in five weeks I pulled all my blood sugar down to normal levels.

  389. My A1C not high, normal, normal, in other words, out of the diabetic.

  390. It was in the diabetic range and it pulled it down to normal and lost about 25 pounds, I think at that time.

  391. And I feel better, the inflammation left of my shoulder, inflammation left in my elbow, I started being more energetic.

  392. I started feeling better.

  393. Listen, I mean, god is my ally.

  394. He had to show me a different.

  395. I had to change.

  396. I had to make some adjustments that he helped me make.

  397. He helped me make them.

  398. I know he did.

  399. I couldn't have done it by myself.

  400. I'm telling you there's help waiting for you.

  401. I just I mean, you know I'm still working on that.

  402. I'm still learning how to regulate my body so that I can live the longest life I want, to live till Jesus comes.

  403. That's my goal.

  404. He reset my clock a couple of years ago.

  405. So my clock is ticking now again, but I'm starting at a lower, lower time on the clock.

  406. So I have to do my part.

  407. Say I'm doing something, let's not do nothing.

  408. I mean there's help waiting for you.

  409. The Holy Ghost is your ally.

  410. So tap into His help with faith and action.

  411. Lay hold on the Holy Helper, lift your hands and receive tonight.

  412. Praise God.

  413. He's ready to help you.

  414. He's just as close as the breath in your mouth.
