Redemptive Realities 2

I've got your Bibles.

Please, why don't you just wave them around and make Jesus glad, the devil mad?

Before we get into the word, let's just make this confession, say Heavenly Father, I've tuned in tonight with a heart open and eager for the truth.

Only the truth that I know and that I apply in my life can keep me free.

And tonight, understanding redemptive realities will keep me free in Jesus' name, and it truly will.

Let's look at our foundation scriptures and found in 1 Peter, chapter one, and in Romans, chapter eight.

We'll start with 1 Peter first, in verse 18.

For as much as you know that you were not redeemed with corruptible things such as silver and gold from your vain conversation or manner of life received by tradition from your fathers, but you were redeemed with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.

You will know, see, there's something that some things you've got to know.

You're not just have information yeah, I heard that one time.

No, you've got to have a revelation of this truth, of the redemptive power of the blood of Jesus.

And so, also in Romans, chapter eight, we turn back there in verse 32, one of my very favorite verses in all of the Bible, romans eight, verse 32.

He that spared not his own son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not, with him, also freely give us all things?

And I like the New English Bible and in this version, let's listen to the New English Bible.

It says he did not spare his own son, but gave him up for us all.

And with this gift, how can he fail to lavish upon us all he has to give?

I tell you, god lavishes on us the advantages of our redemptive realities.

So last week, we're talking about 2020 being the greatest year yet, and we talked about how the blood and the glory are linked, and we established that the spirit flows where the blood is applied, and that goes back to the dedication of the temple.

It goes back to the dedication of the high priest.

Whenever they anointed Aaron as high priest, they sprinkled him with blood, they put blood on his thumb and on his great toe, and then they anointed him with oil after the blood.

First the blood went there, then the oil went there, and so we're gonna have to have an application of the blood in our lives in order for the power of God to rest upon us and move through us, and so our faith is based on knowledge and understanding of the word of God.

Information can be stolen.

People's information is stolen every day, their identity.

They can't steal who you are, they don't know.

Stealing information, you know people can come to church and just listen to information being shared, such as this, and they can parrot it, they can say what they heard.

But that's not faith.

Faith is actually revelation.

Revelation is revealed into your spirit and I like what Glacian Six says, that we should communicate with those who teach us and all good things.

So actually, you're giving, you're being a tither and a giver and a sower of seed is related to your revelations, related to your faith.

I've seen people cheat themselves by being chinchy and stingy.

You know, but I know you're not that I'm just giving you some information here that can turn into revelation.

That revelation is what we need and that's the spirit of God revealing to you what we're talking about.

So therefore, we have to have a thorough understanding of what the blood is done, is doing and will continue to do in order to receive all that God desires to lavish upon us.

This lavishing not gonna just fall on us automatically.

It's not just gonna fall on us because we come to church by itself, and we're not.

It's not gonna just fall on us just because it's going to fall on us, as we believe, we receive it.

And so we talked about last week.

We talked about Luke, chapter 15, the great parable of the prodigal son.

Remember Bubba and Junior?

Amen, I named him Bubba and Junior.

This comes from many years ago, right before we started this church.

I got a revelation in Luke 15.

And we found out last week that they both lacked understanding of what their bloodline qualified them for.

It qualified them to receive, and they didn't have a revelation of their own status as sons.

So Bubba received his inheritance you can check a box for him on that but then when he blew his inheritance, he didn't have an understanding of the fact that he could not resign being a son and he did not have the kind of faith he needed to go back and receive his status back again.

His father gave it back to him and then also Junior.

At the same time, his brother received his inheritance.

Junior was eligible for the double portion and he didn't ask for it.

Why?

Because he saw himself as a servant.

He did not identify.

We'll talk more about the word identify in a minute.

But he didn't identify with being a son, he identified with being one of the hired hands, and so that kept him, kept him behind what God really wanted to lavish upon him, or what his father wanted to lavish upon him.

And so when revelation came on each side of what they really truly had coming, then you had the fatted calf, then you had the best robe, the shoes and the ring, and you had music and dancing.

See, a picture of the glory of God.

See, I tell you, we all want the glory, don't we?

Well, it's gonna come when we have a revelation of redemptive realities.

What the blood of Jesus has furnished for us, what it has made us worthy, it's delivered us from what it could have, should have, and from the idea that we have to deserve something.

No, we get everything Jesus deserves and we're identified with him.

So Today I wanted to keep along these lines and pursue a few more truths here.

Let's, tonight, let's look at Matthew, chapter eight, and tremendous verse of Scripture, matthew eight, and, in Hebrews, nine after that.

Matthew eight, first, verse 16.

When the evening was come, they brought unto him talking about Jesus.

They brought unto Jesus many that were possessed with demons, and he cast out the spirits with his word and he healed all who were sick.

That it might be fulfilled, which was spoken by Isaiah, the prophet saying himself took our infirmities and bear our sicknesses.

So when Jesus healed the sick there and cast out demons, he was fulfilling the prophet Isaiah.

And in my margin it tells you what verse Isaiah 53, 4.

And so let's just go back there.

It's useful to go back and take a look at Isaiah 53.

These are cornerstone redemptive scriptures and I wanted you to see something, because in the Old Testament it words it a little different, but the words all mean the same Isaiah 53, verse 4.

Isaiah 53:4

Surely, he have borne our griefs and carried our sorrows.

Yet we did esteem him smitten, stricken, smitten of God and afflicted.

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities.

The chastisement for our peace was upon him and with his stripes we are healed.

So I wanted you to see the difference here between Isaiah and Matthew.

You have a little difference in.

One says griefs, one says pain, one says infirmity and one says sorrows.

See, they're in the Hebrew.

They mean the same thing, and so he's showing us that the same sacrifice that took care of sin took care of sickness.

See, a redemptive reality that you know.

Millions of Christians don't know this.

Millions of Christians never hear this preached.

Instead, they're told miracles passed away, that they have no real Bible right to healing.

You know God heals some and some others, and we can't know why.

You know well all of these different theories.

But we've been redeemed, alright.

And then Hebrews, chapter nine.

Let's look at that one Powerful verse, verse 12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood.

Talking about Jesus, he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us Notice the tense having obtained, in other words finally done one time forever.

He made one sacrifice one time forever.

I like this other version of the Bible.

It says he secured our permanent deliverance, our complete redemption and our everlasting release.

Praise God, the same sacrifice that took away our sin secured our permanent deliverance.

See, deliverance is not something we got to get every time we turn around, every time we're in trouble.

I mean, we don't have to be redeemed every time we make a mistake.

We don't have to be released every time we find ourselves in a bad situation.

That's already been accomplished.

We need to learn to look at things from the standpoint of the finality of what Jesus did on the cross.

And he did it all one time, 2000 years ago.

He doesn't have to do it again.

He doesn't have to keep doing anything.

He doesn't come down here from heaven and do anything about your healing or do anything about your finances or do anything about anything.

He's already taken care of it.

Praise God.

So we've been redeemed.

The word redeemed means our freedom has been purchased.

And how was it purchased?

Well, first Peter said by the precious blood of Christ, as a blam, without blemish and without spot.

He was the lamb of God, slain from before the foundation of the world.

God had us in mind before he even created the world.

He knew the world would need a redeemer.

He had the whole plan, and praise God.

So I wanted to bring up the word substitution now, because redemption hinges on two very important ideas.

You know, if you look at your house, you've got hinges on your door.

You know every door's got hinges.

It swings on and the door way into your true freedom hinges on these two keys to redemption, and they are this substitution and identification.

And just say that out loud Substitution and identification.

So in his death on the cross, the lamb of God, without blemish, without spot, took our sins and sicknesses.

He identified with our sinful condition, even though he himself, he was a legal human being.

He was born of the virgin, so he was legally a human and he and he pays as a human.

See what he did do this as God.

He did this as a human being.

He did this as a human being, and so he identified with our sins.

But the Bible says he also identified with our sicknesses.

He took it in Matthew 8, 17.

It says he took our pains and carried our sicknesses, our infirmities.

So these things, infirmities means frailty of mind and or body, and so these things are what he identified with.

He was, he was well and he was sinless all the way.

When did this happen?

At the cross?

At the cross, god laid upon him the sin of the whole world and at the same time he laid upon him all of the sicknesses that we could ever think to have.

And so he identified and he became our substitute.

Because we deserved it to hang on the cross for our sins, we deserve to go to hell for our sins, we deserved say, and so he became our substitute.

And so now, based on these verses that we just read our job, then if we wanna walk through this door of redemption, we need to identify with Christ's righteousness.

We need to identify with the fact that he paid for us to be totally innocent of all charges, even though we know in our own minds that we've done things that are not right.

But they've been paid for.

We deserve to go to prison, but guess what?

His blood purchased our get out of jail free card.

We don't go there.

We don't go to jail.

We don't go to hell.

We deserve it, but we're not gonna go there.

Let's identify with Christ's righteousness, amen, and let's then, in turn, be his substitute on the earth.

The church has to rise up and beat Jesus to this generation.

They're crying for a supernatural church.

They're not saying it like this, they're not saying it like this, but they.

In every human being there's a God shaped vacuum.

I'm convinced of it.

God created every human being with a God shaped desire or vacuum inside that only God can fill.

Drugs can't fill it, you know, illicit sex can't fill it.

I mean gambling can't fill it.

Cars can't fill it.

Riches can't fill it.

Money can't fill it.

Only God can fill it.

And people are looking for the reality of a church that can demonstrate the love of God and the power of God at the same time and I believe we're right there, right close to that, happening more and more.

But it all hinges.

Think about the word hinge.

It all hinges on substitution and identification in both directions.

Jesus was our substitute, he identified with us so we can turn around and identify with him and be his substitute on earth, praise God.

And so when we go back here to Matthew, chapter eight and it's worth it for you to see it in Revelation, see, Revelation is coming.

See, that's what your faith is based on, is understanding, or another word for it Revelation.

It's that God inspired word that comes into your heart like lightning and suddenly you see what you've never seen.

That's why the unbelievers can't pick up the Bible and get Revelation.

Think about the seven sons of Schema.

They said to the young man who they were vagabond Jews, exorcists.

And they came up to this man who had a demon in him and they said in the name of Jesus Christ, in the name of Jesus, paul preaches, come out of him.

And that demon said well, jesus, I know and Paul, I know, but who are you?

And the man in whom the devil was jumped on them and beat them up and stripped them and sent them on their way, and so they had no Revelation.

See, they had information.

Oh, I tell you, revelation tonight is flowing.

If you'll just receive it, it can add to your faith and you can begin to claim, by identification and substitution, the hinges of your redemption.

You can start by faith appropriate what belongs to you, just like Junior did, I mean Bubba did.

Bubba appropriated, he knew he had an inheritance coming and he asked for it and he got it.

But Junior had up twice as much and didn't ask for it.

Hey, listen, let's appropriate.

In fact, we don't even have to ask.

All we have to do is claim it because it's already been given.

It's already been given.

We don't have to ask God to heal us.

Healing belongs to us, it belongs to us.

So again, look at Matthew eight and it says when the evening would come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with demons.

He cast out the spirits.

With his word, he healed all that were sick.

That it might be fulfilled, which was spoken by Isaiah, the prophet himself, took the past, tense our infirmities and bear our.

So bear is really there, is the past tense, and so in the future perfect tense of that is verse 17, that it might be fulfilled.

That's future perfect tense.

I know I'm kind of making you go back to English class, but the future perfect tense in this, in this verb, that it might be fulfilled.

Fulfilled as the verb, that means it's fulfilled every time you or I appropriate our redemption and claim our healing.

It's being fulfilled every day.

It's fulfilled continually.

It'll be that way until Jesus comes and takes the church off the earth.

This is being fulfilled every time.

So that it was fulfilled right then that night when they brought into him all those people.

But now, because it goes forward all the way to our day, praise God.

So.

So he took those infirmities.

He took, he bore those sicknesses or pains from another version says pains so that we can identify with his health then Because Jesus was healthy, wasn't he?

He was never sick.

Fellows, I've got the flu.

Just go over the other side.

Give me a few days to get over.

No, he didn't have the cone flu or any other kind of flu.

He didn't ever have any problems with sickness and disease.

And he was around lepers.

He touched the leper.

He wasn't concerned about leprosy.

And we shouldn't be concerned about the flu, we shouldn't be concerned.

I mean, I learned these things 40 years ago.

I can't get excited about stuff like that.

Does it happen from time?

Yeah, I like what President Trump said the other day when he got out of the hospital Don't let this flu dominate you, don't let the fear of it.

Oh, the Democrats are going crazy.

I'm gonna start calling the comments.

The communists are going crazy.

You're going crazy.

Ah, praise God, all right, so that it might be fulfilled.

So every time we receive our healing or even our financial breakthrough see, we didn't talk about that, but he was made poor that we might be rich.

Second Corinthians, chapter eight, and so it was also in the financial realm that we've been redeemed from poverty.

And so in Isaiah it's called griefs and sorrows.

In Matthew it's called infirmities and sickness, and then in 1 Peter 2, 24, it goes even further.

We can go over there and look at 1 Peter.

We were just there a moment ago.

I trust your I know many of you've heard this before, but it's watering the seed that you have, because I'm aware of certain health issues that people have in this church and I'm giving you some ammunition, I'm giving you some real good, I'm giving you some 45 calories where you can shoot that disease in the head.

You know, just kill it once it's broken.

I hate to be so violent, but I don't mind being violent against the devil.

I hate the devil and I hate what he does.

All right, 1 Peter, chapter two, verse 24, says who, his own self, bear our sins in his own body on the tree.

Now see, when I look at that, it refers me to Hebrews.

We'll go over there in a minute that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness.

By whose stripes ye were healed and I noticed it turned it into were healed, you were healed.

Isaiah says you are healed, but Peter says you were healed.

Well, peter applies to us right now.

We were healed, and that's why I say you don't have to pray for your healing, you don't have to beg God to heal you.

You already were healed in the mind of God you were healed.

Why?

When were you healed?

About 2000 years ago, when he took your infirmity on the cross.

You see, we got to get our thinking straight, because so I still see many Christians are saying they're putting off healing in the future.

They're saying, well, I'm just believing God's gonna heal me.

No, he's not ever gonna heal you because you got your tenses wrong and you're saying the wrong thing.

You're completely in the wrong planet.

You got to get back over here and say, thank God, I was healed.

I was healed and I believe I received my healing back when I claimed it.

And I'm not moved by the circumstances, I'm not moved by the symptoms, I'm not moved by the doctor's report.

Amen.

We got to get our tenses straight in our redemptive realities.

So by whose stripes you were healed?

So the redemptive reality is that the same sacrifice that washed our sins away also carried away our diseases and our pains.

Well, if that's true, pastor, why do I have to have a knee replacement?

Well, I mean, you know, maybe you didn't get on this, but if you're quick enough, you know things do wear out.

We live in finite bodies.

Our bodies are mortal bodies, which means death doomed, and so they're not guaranteed.

They don't have a, you know, a guarantee of much past, about 70 or 80 years old, maybe 90 if you're really, really healthy.

And especially joints.

If you've been a jogger I see a lot of you know I'm a baby boomer.

Some of my friends were jogging in their 50s and 60s.

Now they're having knee replacements here because they jog on hard surfaces.

You know it's just better to get some low impact kind of you know things to help you and so, no, I mean, you know, it doesn't matter, the Word of God is still true.

Amen, the Word of God is true.

So.

So we can and should say something like this Since Jesus took this pain away, I no longer have this pain.

Oh, why would I say that If I have it?

Well, you've got to quit saying it.

You've got to say I don't have it, I'm healed.

When you start to confessing that you're healed, based on the redemptive reality of what Jesus did on the cross, that pain will leave.

It will leave.

I'm healed by his stripes.

Thank God, I'm healed by his stripes, amen.

Oh, all right.

So if Jesus took our diseases, why are people sick?

Why are people sick?

I've answered this question before, not that long ago, but you know what again, this is our greatest year yet and the devil has come unglued.

He hates this whole idea that we're gonna have the greatest year yet, so he's trying to interrupt everywhere he can.

He's interrupting people's health, and we've had people in the hospital recently.

We've had people that have been laid up.

They've got symptoms in their body and all that.

And I'm arming you, I'm arming your weapons with the kind of ammunition you need to defeat whatever's come against you.

Maybe it's not sickness, maybe it's some financial challenges, it's all the same, as far as the redemption is concerned and that we have Jesus had secured a permanent redemption, an everlasting release, amen.

And so it's not temporary.

So you know, I hear these kinds of things.

You know quite a bit over the years, different people you talk to, especially in church, that are poorly taught.

And but so if Jesus took our diseases, why are people sick?

And so many times it's just their confession, it's their lack of revelation, it's their, and so your faith is built on revelation.

So when you talk against what the word says, there's no way that you can get a supernatural result.

You're binding yourself to the natural.

You're binding yourself to having a sense knowledge-based answer for your health.

And thank God, doctors work in sense knowledge.

Every test they run on you is sense knowledge.

Any advice they give you is sense knowledge.

There's nothing wrong with sense knowledge, but it's inferior to revelation knowledge, because revelation knowledge gets you tapped in to the redemptive power of blood of Jesus.

See, that's where we wanna be.

That's the everlasting life he died to give us, super abundant in quantity, superior in quality.

You know, your quality of life is only as good as the quality of your confession.

I'm gonna say it again your quality of life is only as good as the quality of your confession.

When you say these silly things, what I'm gonna say here, like everybody says this, is what is punching a hole and you know it's punching a hole in your knapsack, and all of the goodies are leaking out, all the Oreo cookies are falling out on the trail behind you.

When you finally get to the campsite, you're gonna open up your sack and there's not gonna be anything there.

It's all being strewn off behind you, see.

All right, so here's one.

Everything happens for a reason.

Yeah, since I'm sick, god must have some purpose in it.

Yeah, it happened for a reason.

Well, how's that working for you?

It sounds so.

It sounds so holy.

Yes, brother, everything happens for a reason.

Like God did it See.

So the next thing is well, he's teaching me a lesson, he must be teaching me a lesson.

Well then, how long have you been sick?

Well, I've been sick for 18 years.

Oh well, have you learned anything that you've learned anything?

Well?

No, well then you're a very poor student, or maybe God's a poor teacher, which isn't you know.

See, it doesn't even make sense to say some of the things that I hear people say on a regular basis.

I mean, it doesn't even make logical sense, much less Bible sense.

No, bible says by stripes, I was healed.

I like what Brother Hagin said to the devil one time.

The devil was saying I hide, this time you're not gonna get your healing.

He started laughing for 20 minutes straight.

What are you laughing at?

I'm laughing at you, devil.

You said this time I'm not gonna get my healing.

Ha ha, I don't have to get my healing.

Jesus got my healing.

I already have my healing.

Ha ha ha, go get out of here.

You know, it's good to know what you've got, and what you've got is not governed by your feelings, it's not governed by your symptoms, it's not governed by your circumstances.

It's governed by your revelation of this word right here that we're preaching Amen.

I'm teaching Hallelujah Theories.

People have theories.

I like what Brother Hagin said about theories.

A theory is a supposition based on ignorance of the subject under discussion.

See, our whole theory about lockdowns and social distancing is in masks.

It was a theory, and it was a poor theory.

It didn't work.

It didn't work.

You can't stop a virus.

That way, you can avoid getting it for a temporary time, but you can't stop getting it.

There's only one way to stop getting a virus.

That's right here.

This is the only answer to stopping a virus.

A mask, a virus.

I learned this when I was 10.

A virus is tiny.

It goes through anything.

It goes through a mask.

You can't stop a virus.

You can forget it.

If it's in the air, you're going to breathe it.

If it's in your lungs, you're going to exhale it.

A mask doesn't help.

It doesn't do a thing.

In fact, it probably catches a lot of myths that people put their hands on and then spread it by other means, like touching the canned goods, and then you come down right behind them and you touch the beans.

You're looking for free holies.

You go to H-E-B.

You got your hand on the free holies.

Well, the guy that was just there has infected the free holies.

Oh well, that's different.

Why aren't we wearing plastic gloves?

Some of them are, by the way.

See, it doesn't work.

It's a theory, it stinks.

You know what I'm tired of?

It Aren't you tired, tired of lockdown, tired of the whole thing.

All right, so no, god's not teaching you a lesson.

Jesus took this.

He took it.

I mean, do you teach your children a lesson here, honey, I want you to drink this.

It's full of poison.

Just drink this poison.

It'll teach you not to drink poison.

But we don't do that.

We'd be arrested for child abuse.

So he doesn't teach his children that way.

All right, here's a good one.

I'm suffering for Jesus.

I'm suffering for Jesus.

Why would he want you to suffer when he suffered?

Wouldn't that be a ways to?

If he suffered what he suffered?

Have you suffered as much as Jesus did?

I mean, have you gotten 39 lashes?

Have you had your beard plucked out?

Did you have a crown of thorns plunged on top of your head?

Did you get your hands and feet nailed to a crown?

Have you suffered that much?

Because if you're suffering for Jesus, you haven't gone that far yet.

Far as I know, did anybody ram a spear into your side.

I mean, it's silly to think that it's silly.

It defies any kind of imagination.

I've heard people, especially Catholics.

You know, god bless the Catholics.

But I had a lady one time trying to convince me about redemptive suffering.

Oh yes, redemptive suffering.

You know, we suffer sickness because we're strong to suffer it.

We're like, oh, there's someone else, it's a form of intercession.

It's a form of intercession.

See, that's the kind of junk you get when you don't have revelation.

You can't teach what you don't know, any more than you can come back from where you ain't been.

You know, redemption is maybe that's an area maybe I could get my doctorate degree in, because I got to teach it for eight years at Lakewood.

You know the story was we had Family Life Institute was a group of teachers that they and I got chosen.

I was so honored to get to teach in 55 minutes, so you've got to really you've got to have some material to teach for 55 minutes.

The first time I ever did it I ran out in 20.

And so I didn't know what to do for the last 35 minutes.

It was pretty embarrassing, but anyway, I learned from that.

But the next round I put in I wanted to teach on the Holy Ghost.

Well, I got denied here.

I'd given them an outline, everything.

The director denied no, no, we don't need that.

And I just said well, all right, let me know what you want me to teach, because I'm not gonna give you another outline.

I don't have time to do that.

I've got a business to run.

I don't have time to sit down and waste my time trying to guess what you want.

Why don't you assign me a subject?

And so Brother O'Steed called me no-transcript.

I thought, oh, I'm in trouble.

Well, it was just some woman.

I'm sorry women, but I mean she was.

It was just kind of ditzy.

Come on, you know, respect the people that you're asking to do something anyway.

So I was probably less than kind, I'm sure I was.

But Brother Osteen called me and said John, I've got the subject for you.

I want you to teach on redemption.

I'm going to give you six.

I'm going to give you six.

Back then we had cassette tapes.

I had a lot of tape.

I had a lot of tape.

I had a lot of tape.

Back then we had cassette tapes.

I taught on this in 1976.

And he said now I've got to apologize up front.

He said that's back when I used to preach a lot and it's real loud and it's real energetic.

He said I've learned better now, john, I don't teach like that, I just teach.

I just, you know, I calm down.

It's better and he was apologizing for the message.

You know I plugged those in and that was the best.

I mean that was so powerful, he preached, taught it.

I mean he was preaching, I mean he was spitting cotton, he was teaching and preaching at the same time.

It was magnificent.

I had never heard him like that.

I had just never, you know, had I heard him be that way and of course I couldn't emulate that.

But it began, you know, eight years and I taught redemption just about every way it can be taught.

And I'm here to.

I'm not.

I'm not trying to brag on myself.

I'm trying to tell you that there is revelation for you, even if you've heard this.

There's revelation, fresh revelation.

There's 45 ammo coming into your gun where you can blow this stuff out.

It's attacking you.

You don't have to put up with it.

I'm telling you, you don't have to know.

You know you're not suffering for Jesus.

You're not.

There's no redemptive praying for other people.

That's, that's goofy.

There are things that are close to that.

I can see why they get the idea.

Sometimes, when we're in intercession, we get into a place of discomfort.

Sometimes we weep and cry and sometimes there can be some temporary pain.

I remember years ago 1988, gladys and I went to a meeting Brother Hillies church in Dayton because Billy Brim was there.

He was ministering, and came time for ministry time.

She was calling different people up and laying hands on them and it was the Holy Ghost, was just, was really heavy in the room and Gladys had her hands, palms, up in her lap and she whispered just look at my hands.

I looked down at her hands and in her left hand there was this purple stain as big as her palm.

It looked it reminded me of a pork wine birthmark dark purple.

I mean, I'm not squinting, I'm saying it's dark purple here.

And the other hand was smaller, just in the palm itself and not up close to the fingers, round same color, dark, dark purple or like what you'd get a blood blister, you know, a real dark purple.

And her hands were burning.

She said my hands are burning, so it's almost.

You know it's giving me trouble.

I'd like some relief.

And so we're talking about it and this young lady comes across the aisle and stands by, gets behind us and says what do we got going on here?

And I knew her daddy had gone to Mexico on a missions trip with her father and she was a pastor's wife in Winnie Texas and we knew her a little bit, didn't know her well, and I said well, look at, my wife's hands are burning on fire.

She said so you're the one I prayed for all after that.

Really, she said I was washing dishes about two o'clock afternoon in my kitchen and all of a sudden my hand started burning and I thought maybe I'd put some bleach in the dish water.

I didn't know.

I mean, my hands were burning and I started to rebuke in the devil and it didn't do any good and I realized I was an intercession and I dropped my kitchen floor right in front of my sink and I prayed that out for two hours until it all lifted.

And so that's not redemptive suffering, that's just intercession.

And she didn't have any discomfort, she didn't have anything like the flu or like cancer.

Let's realize that God's a good God, he's a great father and he's provided healing for us.

It's just that simple.

Amen.

There's no intercession.

You're not bearing someone else's burden.

Praise God, amen.

Isn't that what Jesus did?

That's right.

No, you're not.

A thousand times, no, no, no.

So Jesus has redeemed us, he set us free and I tell you, it's time to kill the fatted calf.

It's time to have the party.

It's time to have the music and dancing and let the glory of God come on you, because people are not looking for frowns, they're not looking for people with sad faces.

They're looking for the glory of God.

They're looking for people that can tell and share with them the reason for the confidence that they have.

The world outside is it discombobulated?

They're afraid.

They're afraid of the COVID, they're afraid of the rioting.

There's something I think most Americans think that after the election there's going to be an increase in rioting.

I believe that there might be an attempt, but I believe in Jesus' name.

We've got authority over that.

We don't have to allow that to happen.

It hasn't happened in Houston.

It won't happen in Houston, in Jesus' name.

Houston is a safe and prosperous city.

God protects her from all her enemies.

We're going to keep saying that over and over again.

Jesus has redeemed us from sickness, pain and disease.

Redemptive realities.

Lift your hands and receive God's Word tonight.

Be bold about appropriating all that you have.

It's permanent, it's not temporary.

There's nothing too hard for the blood of Jesus and faith in that blood.

What it has done.
