Redemptive Realities 1

Let's pick our bibles up and wave them around wherever you are.

Just wave your Bible around, make Jesus glad and the devil mad, and say this together with everyone all across the world.

We have people watching from all over the world and all over the nation.

Let's just say this together.

I'm here tonight, heavenly Father online, and I believe I receive revelation of the Word of God.

I know that the Holy Spirit has to shine upon the Word that I hear so that it turns into me as revelation that will build my faith.

Not just information, but inspiration and revelation to change my life and make me more effective as a Christian.

In Jesus' name, amen, praise God, let me ask you to turn in your bibles to 1 Peter, chapter one and also, while you're turning there, maybe get Romans, chapter eight, and to put a marker there.

We'll start with 1 Peter.

All right, 1 Peter, chapter one, verse 18.

For as much as you know that, you were not redeemed with corruptible things, a silver and gold from your vain conversation or your manner of life received by tradition from your fathers, but you were redeemed with the precious blood of Christ as of a land without blemish and without spot.

Amen, redeemed by the precious blood of Christ.

And then in Romans, chapter eight, verse 32, one of my favorite scriptures it says he that spared not his own son, that delivered him up for his all, how shall he not, with him, also freely give us all things?

And I like the New English Bible.

And with this gift, how can he fail to lavish upon us all he has to give?

Isn't that good?

Let me read it again.

And with this gift, how can he fail to lavish upon us all that he has to give?

And so tonight I wanted to teach on redemptive realities.

Redemptive realities, you know 2020 is.

You know, we had a prophetic word back over a year ago that this would be our greatest year yet.

I know many are still looking for the manifestation of that.

Don't give up, don't quit, because we're not limited to this calendar year.

Let's just believe God.

And it's based on the fact that this greatest year yet is not based on us.

It's based on what God has lavished upon us.

The blood of Jesus Christ was shed for us, and I wanted to talk tonight about the blood and the glory.

They're linked together.

Sister Billy Brim has a book that she wrote years ago the Blood and the Glory that they're.

You know the blood flows wherever the blood is applied.

You know the Old Testament priests, he had to apply the blood before the Holy Ghost would be manifest.

You know, when they were dedicating the high priest, they would take blood and they would anoint the head and then they would anoint the thumb and then they would anoint the great toe with blood and then they would anoint them with oil.

So the oil would flow only where the blood had been applied, and that's a type in a shadow of the glory.

The glory can only go where the blood has been applied.

Praise God, the blood of Jesus.

So our faith is based on knowledge or understanding of the word.

So the more we teach on this tonight, perhaps you'll hear something you haven't heard, or maybe you'll hear it a little different way, so that your faith will be built, your faith specifically in the blood, in the finished work of Christ, that when you have that thorough understanding of what the blood has done, is doing and will do, you'll actually receive those things that God wants to lavish upon you.

You know it's one thing for God to give those things.

This is another for us to work on our receiver so that we can receive those lavish things.

You know, lavish means over the top, it means something that we probably wouldn't ordinarily believe for ourselves.

You know, we kind of we kind of, you know, have this false humility many times where we think we're not worthy.

Listen, it's not about how good we are, how worthy we are, it's about the blood and what the blood purchased.

Amen, it's just all about the blood.

And so, you know, I'm working on my receiver.

Still, are you working on your receiver?

You know we just need to expand our receiver so that we can receive everything that God wants to lavish upon us.

It's up to us to receive it, up to us to see what the Bible says about it.

And you know, enlarging.

I think about Jay Bez.

He said, oh God, enlarge my coast, enlarge my coast.

You know he was bold enough to ask God to give him more.

And let's believe God.

Why do we want more?

Because we need more right now.

This is harvest time and this whole thing about the greatest year yet is not just about things.

It's not just about stuff.

It's about the church rising up in glory and being an example to this world.

I mean, people are so discouraged out there in the world, people are fearful, they're panic-stricken in many ways, and there's so many things going on that they're afraid of.

And thank God, perfect love casts out fear.

I mean when you get impressed with what Jesus has done out, it was all motivated by love.

He loved us and so that blood was shed.

You know, when he was on the earth teaching the disciples and teaching the Jews, he didn't teach from the aspect of trying to get God to do something, but he always taught from the aspect of challenging man to receive what God has done through the covenant.

It's just that simple.

That's what I'm doing tonight.

I'm not trying to teach.

You know, for us to get God in the mood to do something.

He's already done the greatest things that ever needed to be done.

He sent Jesus and Jesus shed His blood.

Jesus purchased our eternal redemption.

You know, redemption means bought out from under the ownership.

We've changed ownership and when we were lost and undone without God, he, jesus, bought us out from under control of the devil, so that the devil no more has any authority over us.

Sin cannot rule us, satan cannot lord it over us, sickness cannot dominate us.

Lack in poverty cannot control us.

See, this is the whole point of redemption, and the blood of Jesus did its job.

Never been a substance like the blood of Jesus, sinless, faultless, lamb of God.

Yet a man, a man anointed of God, and yet he went to the cross, he shed his blood and he paid the price that we couldn't pay.

So we know that kind of in the natural.

But tonight I want you to get it in your spirit and let your faith be built to receive everything that God has got for you.

You know he so loved the world on 316.

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever should believe on him should have everlasting life, should not perish but have everlasting life.

So you know years.

I heard that scripture almost all of my life.

I was a young Catholic boy and this is how I applied it.

I said, well, you know, god so loved the world, I'm in the world.

So therefore he loved me.

No, no, he loved me.

It was personal.

I never made it personal.

I just I associated myself as one of a group.

But it was only until I made it personal and when I realized Jesus loved John Griner and I accepted that love and I accepted that payment that he made and I made him the Lord of my life.

That ownership changed in my life and everything changed in my life and I was born again.

So that blood of Christ you could say it was liquid love.

See, how did he love us?

He loved us so much that he died.

What happened when he died?

He shed his blood, the precious blood.

You know, that's what Peter had, a revelation of, that.

You know, somebody that let Jesus down was Peter.

I mean, peter denied him three times on the night before he was crucified.

I mean, here he had been at the last supper, here he had witnessed all that about Judas betraying him, here he had seen all this stuff.

And you know, he just didn't have enough courage to stand with Jesus and he denied him.

And you know that had to be horrible, you know.

And yet Jesus said look, you think you're gonna do good, you're gonna deny that before the cockroach, you're gonna deny me.

And so Jesus knew what was coming.

He said but when you're converted, strengthen your brethren.

And so you know, somebody that had to get a hold of the cleansing power of the blood was Peter.

So he's writing this from personal experience.

He had to get personally involved with the blood to cleanse him and to let him know, once he got saved, once he was converted.

So he converted and born again.

Once he was converted, he didn't let that denial hold him back.

He knew that thing had been taken away by the blood, it had been eradicated by the blood and it set him free to do what he did, great apostle.

And so did he buy and pay so great a price for us?

Because we're perfect?

Well, no, because we all have what defects?

We all have flaws, we all have faults, we all have woulda, coulda, shoulda's.

And I'm not talking about before we were saved, I'm talking about since we've been saved.

I mean we're not perfect people.

I mean the church is not a museum of trophies, it's not a, you know, a place where everybody's sitting under glass cases and everybody's at.

No, we're a hospital.

In many cases we're a work in progress, but as far as God is concerned, because of that blood, we are perfect.

We are worthy.

We're worthy on the basis of the blood.

It's not about what we deserve or don't deserve.

It's about what Jesus bought and paid for and what can we receive.

And the only way we can receive anything from God is by faith.

And so that's why I'm teaching this tonight.

I wanna build your faith to receive in this greatest year yet the fullness of what God has already bought and paid for.

I mean, he already did it, he already paid the check.

You know It'd be like going to Papadot and you're trying to pay the waitress and the waitress and saying no, no, the person over there in the next table they paid your bill.

No, I wanna pay the bill.

There's something about flesh.

It wants to earn its way and we gotta learn how to receive.

Learn how to receive from God.

The only way we can receive is to receive by faith.

You know, flawless diamonds are very rare, they're precious and they're very expensive.

You go out and buy.

You can buy a diamond.

You know like a one-carat diamond you might pay.

I don't know what the.

I haven't bought one in a long time so I don't know what the going rate is.

Just say it's a one-carat diamond.

It's say, you know, in a kind of an average clarity average kind of a diamond I don't know what average is, but it's got flaws in it.

Occlusions is the official word.

So they put the little thing in their eye and they look at the diamond and they can see the occlusion.

And the bigger the occlusion, the more numbers of the occlusion, the less valuable the diamond is.

Let's just say one-carat diamond you could buy one for maybe what?

$3,000 maybe.

But what would a flawless one be?

Well, a flawless one might be $15,000.

I don't know what the figures are, but it would be a lot more money.

But really you're only looking at it with just a slight magnification.

If you keep magnifying that flawless diamond, you actually find out that it's not.

It's really not flawless.

It's got some little tiny flaws, occlusions in there.

And the reason they say it's flawless is because it's not easily seen.

It's relative.

It's relative.

Flawless means relative.

It's not really absolutely flawless.

And so in Hebrews 11, when we read the Hall of Fame of Faith, you know, by an act of faith, moses by an act of faith, abraham by an act of faith, sarah by an act of faith, you know all of these different ones, rahab by an act of faith, all these people 20 times.

It says in the book of the Hall of Fame of Faith, hebrews 11, that's what I call it.

All those people had flaws, all those people had faults, they had hang-ups.

I mean some of them had dysfunctional families.

I mean you can't believe the mess that was in their families.

So it wasn't based on their person, it was based on the blood, and in their case the blood of bulls and goats.

And they had a covenant.

See, everything happened because of the covenant and we have a better covenant.

Hebrews 8-6 says a better covenant found upon better promises.

And so here in 1 Peter, chapter 5, it talks about the accuser of the brethren.

You know it talks about the devil being.

He says you know, be sober, be bitter, your adversary.

You know the devil is an adversary, he's an adversarial figure in your life.

He's real.

He's only one being, but he's real and he has other forces.

He has other divisions of evil, like we call demons that do his bidding, and they're all our adversary, they're all accusers.

In the book of Revelation it's called the accuser of the brethren, or we could call him the prosecuting attorney.

He's the one that knows all of your flaws, he's the one that knows all of your shortcomings.

He knows all the wood it could have shut us in your life that you still have a memory of, and he loves to dredge up the past.

He loves to dredge it up short term, long term, he loves to dredge it up, he loves to accuse you and he'll get you to try to agree with him.

The minute you agree with him, you're already half defeated, right there and so.

But in Revelation 12-11, it says we overcome the devil by the blood of the Lamb and the Word of our testimony, and that we love, not our lives under the death.

In other words, we have dedicated our lives to God.

We belong to Him.

We don't even belong to ourselves.

1 Corinthians 6 says what?

No, you're not.

Your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost and you're not your own.

But because you've been what Bought with a price.

See, there's redemption.

What was the price?

The blood.

See, you must be worth the precious blood of Christ, or he wouldn't have paid that price for you.

You're worth what Jesus paid for you.

You're worth what the Father paid for you.

To him, in yourself you're not worth it, but to him you're worth it.

You see what I'm saying.

So let's not look at ourselves on the outward.

Let's not look and measure ourselves by the accuser, bringing up our faults, bringing up our things.

Now should we just ignore those?

No, we ought to be cleaning ourselves up all the time.

We ought to be growing and getting our flesh under control.

That's true, but we ought to not be walking in this type of condemnation.

We ought to know that we're not getting anything from God by our own efforts.

We're getting it because of the covenant and so we overcome the devil.

By what?

By the blood of the Lamb.

You know, devil, you're accusing me, but Jesus blood has been shed for me.

I confess that a long time ago.

It's under the blood.

I am not guilty, because he forgave me and that's it.

There's nothing.

There's nothing on my record.

See, you've got to know how to answer the devil when he accuses you.

It's not that you're denying wrongdoing, it's just that it's irrelevant.

It's been under the blood, it's been washed away, and so, and then the you know I like what?

The word you know, the word of our testimony, in other words, not just testifying how we got saved, it's our testimony of what the blood has purchased for us.

See, that's, that's the word he's talking about, the word of our testimony.

I'm blood bought, satan, I'm blood bought.

You can't keep this pain on me.

I resist this pain because Jesus took it.

See, it's all covenant based and we're talking about redemptive realities.

You know, the reality in our life is not the symptoms, it's not the circumstances.

It's not the bank balance.

The reality is this word.

The reality is what the blood of Jesus had bought and paid for.

The reality is what this word says we have, what this word says we can do.

This word says who we are Amen.

It's never arrogant to say what the word says about ourselves and about our circumstances.

So we overcome.

See, there's going to have to be an over.

There's no faith that you can ever have that won't be opposed.

I mean, there's no great faith without great battles.

There's no great victories without no great faith without great tests.

I'll put it right no great faith without great tests, no great victories without great battles.

So all faith is opposed.

The enemy can't let you just steamroll over him.

He's going to throw things in your way.

He's going to bring circumstances, he's going to bring thoughts and we have to know how to answer those things based on our redemptive reality.

Thank God, jesus has already redeemed us.

It's not something's going to happen, it's already happened, praise God.

So, as we increase in the revelation of the blood of our redemption, we have boldness to receive.

That's all really.

What I'm talking about is boldness to receive.

I mean, you know, boldness to receive what, jesus, if you're going to do it on the basis of what you deserve, you'll never have the boldness to receive, you'll fall short.

But if you analyze everything based on the blood oh yeah, the blood was shed for this.

He paid for this.

He paid for me to have a.

He paid for me to be successful.

He paid for me to be a victorious over all these troubles.

He paid for me.

He paid the check.

It's already been paid.

Praise God, hallelujah.

You know he lavished on us.

Let me read that again.

And with this gift, how can he fail to lavish upon us all he has to give?

See, there's a lavishing that God wants to do in this year.

That's why he gave us that word, and it's going to make it incomparable to every other year we've had.

And I know some of you are thinking, wow, I've missed it.

No, you haven't missed it yet, because I mean, it's not set in stone about this year.

I mean it goes on.

God said God is not in time, god is in eternity.

And so let's not give up just because of the calendar, let's just keep on continuing.

Let's continue in what God said.

I mean, wouldn't it?

You know, I think back, back what Smith Wigglesworth said.

You know, he said, in my experience, most Christians give up before the answer comes.

See, the answer is on the way.

Don't quit.

So what?

So what's the calendar?

Well, the calendar is off.

I mean, it was September, the Rosh Hashanah was two weeks ago, now it's Yom Kippur.

Listen, I'm not going by the calendar.

There are some things that I'm still believing for it hadn't happened.

I'll give you one example.

You know this the fullness of of this regional center.

God told me 25 years ago it was going to be a regional center and it's just now, this year, that we've started seeing the fullness of that coming to pass, just the beginnings of the fullness of it.

I mean, we've had a little here and a little there, but boy, I mean, things are happening now.

God's opening all kinds of doors and and and our our.

He's opened unto us a door of utterance.

You know Paul talked about a door of utterance that was associated with his office as an apostle.

Well, associated with this church is a call to be a regional center.

There's been a door of utterance open unto this church and our voice is being heard, being heard all over the country and especially all over Harris County and all over the state of Texas now.

So you know, it takes time sometimes for God's Word to manifest.

Um, you know, thinking about people that that have all kinds of reasons to maybe have a hard time receiving and the lavishness of what God wants to lavish on them.

Brother Hagin talks about a, a man that he knew about back in the depression days, back when a million dollars was like a billion dollars today, and this guy was a multimillionaire in depression days.

But he grew up poor and he was 12 years old before he owned a pair of shoes.

He went barefoot his entire childhood until 12.

And he left school in the fifth grade because they just didn't have money for him to go to school.

He had to go and a lot of times kids in those days would work.

They, you know.

I don't know what he did.

He might have picked cotton, he might have worked in a mill, I don't know what he did.

But he quit school in the fifth grade.

But along the way he got saved and filled with a Holy Ghost and he became very wealthy and he he was testifying.

One time he said you know, I've I've never lost money on one business deal.

I've never, never lost a bit of money on a business deal.

He said people will come to me.

They know I have money to invest.

I'm I invest in all kinds of business deals and people know that about me, so they bring me some good deals.

And he said, you know, there's been times when I thought, man, that looks like a good deal in my head.

But he said I always would go in my prayer closet and sometimes it'd take maybe two or three days, going in and out of my prayer closet and I'd read my Bible and I'd be praying in the Holy Ghost, just getting quiet and getting getting concentrated on God.

And then I would know, and I would either, you know, and maybe that deal that I thought was good, I'd have a red light about it.

I think, oh well, I, and then I wouldn't do it, or the next deal I might not like it.

I might look at it and think, well, that's not very good, that doesn't make sense.

And then I get in my prayer closet and I get a green light.

He said I always followed my deepest premonitions.

That was his way of saying the witness we taught on, you know, following the Holy Ghost last Sunday.

And so he learned how to follow the Holy Ghost and he was a very rich man.

Was he rich because he was educated?

No, fifth grade education.

Was he rich because he had this grand?

He was born on the right side of the track.

No, he didn't earn have have a pair of shoes till he was 12 years old.

Listen, he was.

He was rich because he learned to follow the Holy Spirit.

He got a hold of his redemption.

Jesus lavished his gifts upon him and he was a giver.

He was a tither and a giver, a sower of seed.

He supported ministries.

I mean, he paid off his church's mortgage and he was a very generous man, which was the key to his blessing.

But he also needed to know how you know to follow the Holy Ghost and business.

And so you know.

Tonight let me share with you out of Luke.

15 years ago I got revelation out of this parable of the parable, the parable of the prodigal son, and that's been found in Luke 15, verses 11 through 32.

Now we're not going to read the parable.

Most of us are are familiar with it, you know.

We know the father, you know on the ranch, I like to call him Paul Cartwright.

He owned the Ponderosa.

You can't prove it's not, you know, I just kind of related to.

You know that.

And so he owned the Ponderosa ranch and he had two sons.

He had his oldest son we'll call Junior, he's the firstborn, so he's got the double portion.

I mean, he's owed the double portion in inheritance for the Jewish, you know tradition.

And then the younger brother, you know, was Bubba, and Bubba happened to be the prodigal.

So he, he knew he had an inheritance, so he went to his father and he said you know, give me the portion of goods that falls to me.

He didn't want to wait till his father died, he didn't want to wait around.

He was kind of tired of of Junior and tired of the ranch and he wanted to go spread his wings.

And so his father gave him his inheritance and he left, and the Bible said that he wasted his inheritance on the riotous living, which is basically excesses of the flesh.

We won't go into detail, but you can get the picture.

He wasn't a very good guy, you know he.

He was bad, so it, so he, you know this Bubba is the type of backslider, somebody that maybe got saved and then went back into the world, and there's a lot of people like that.

There might be some of you watching that are backslidden right now.

Maybe you heard about this church, maybe you heard about this, this Facebook live, and maybe you tuned in.

Maybe you're backslidden.

Hey, you know, you can always come back to the Lord, he's looking for you.

That's exactly what happened he.

He got over into the world and he wasted his living.

He didn't save any of it, he just wasted it and he went.

He went broke and nobody gave to him and he was starting starving.

He couldn't find a good job and so he had to work with hogs, feeding hogs, and he was so hungry he ate with the hogs and ate with the hogs ate.

And he got down to himself and he said you know how many of my father's servants are, are just eating and they've got a place to stay, and here I am starving.

I know what I'll do.

I'll go back to my father and I'll say father, I've sinned before you and God, just treat me as one of the hired hands and at least I'll have three squares and a place to sleep.

Just treat me as one of the hired hands.

And so he did, he, and he rehearsed what he was going to say.

His words gives you an indication of his revelation and what?

What he said?

Let me know that he expected punishment instead of mercy.

He had no revelation of the mercy of his father.

He had no revelation of his bloodline.

You know, he's gonna just treat me as the hired service.

I'm no longer worthy to be called your son.

You can't give the blood back.

The blood is there, the bloodline is there.

You can't undo that.

He had no revelation of his family heritage.

And so we know the story.

He gets back and his father watched.

It was watching for him and he saw him coming back a great way off and he ran to meet him.

See, this is the picture of the father and the backslider.

He's not standing there, you know, waiting for the guy to drag up on his hand all fours.

And he's got it.

And he turns like this and here's the poor backslider over here.

No, he's running the meeting and embraced him Boy, I bet he didn't smell that good, been working with Hawks.

And he said, oh, bring me the best robe.

They restored his authority as a son.

Let's put some shoes on those feet.

He had standing back, standing as a full fledged member of the family and the son in the family business.

Give him the ring, the signet ring, he's got authority, praise God and standing.

And what a picture of our redemption.

I mean, redemption bears long.

I mean we're not perfect.

He wasn't perfect.

He had a bad heart he had, he did some terrible things and yet, and yet he couldn't give away his salvation.

You know, I don't believe in what saved all we say, not exactly, but I do believe that our salvation is not easily given away, it's not easily lost.

I mean, god is so merciful, we need to get a revelation of what the blood of Jesus has done.

And then you've got on the other side.

The contrast is junior, now junior.

If Bubba was the type of the backslider, what about junior?

Well, junior was the type of the Christian who has never strayed.

You know, he's never missed church, he's really involved, and so he's not strayed.

But his words, if you'll listen to his words, when he spoke to his father, first of all, he wasn't very happy about his brother coming back home.

So he had no revelation of the bloodline either and he had no revelation of inheritance.

Because he said, you know, he identified with the hired.

Help.

He said this thy son has.

So he didn't even relate to him as a brother and so he identified with the hired help.

He said you know, I've been here all these years.

You've never even given me a party.

You never gave me as much as a skinny goat.

You never have done anything for me.

He had no robe.

See, he probably just wore your regular cowboy outfit.

You know he had no robe.

He had no ring.

He had no shoes.

The father said, son, all I have is yours.

So the robe was his, he just didn't wear it.

The ring was his.

He didn't wear that either.

The shoes were his for the standing.

He didn't have that either.

He identified with the hired help.

There's a lot of Christians that identify with way below what the blood of Jesus has purchased.

We are the sons and daughters of the most high God.

I'm telling you, he's with us just the same way he's with Jesus.

We have as much favor with the father as Jesus did Praise God, not because of who we are, but because of who he is and what he did.

And he said you didn't even kill me one by one.

But he says you didn't even slay for me a skinny goat, not even a skinny goat Did you give me.

Well, he had all the cattle.

They were his.

He had the double portion, he had more.

He had twice as much as brother took away from the deal.

And here he is griping.

Oh, I tell you, we have to get ahold of what the father wants to lavish on his sons and daughters in these last days.

He wants us to shine.

I mean all the wonderful things of this world.

Yeah, I mean, I'm really not talking about things here tonight.

I'm talking about the great love and the relationship we have.

Yeah, things go with it.

Sure they do.

God wants us to drive nice and dress nice and live in nice places.

He doesn't want us to be at the bottom of the barrel.

He didn't give all these good things for the devil and his crowd to enjoy.

I mean, the church can rise up and possess those things.

But the most important thing is the relationship to our heavenly father that we have boldness to enter in by the blood of Jesus.

Praise God.

Jesus made a way behind the veil.

We don't have to stand outside being jealous of somebody just because they came home to the Lord and got blessed.

I mean, I've seen backsliders come back to the Lord and it just seemed like everything started turning around in their life.

The next thing, you know they're getting promoted, they're getting blessed.

It's like they never left God in a lurch.

And here we are standing around and kind of looking at world.

No, let's not be like that.

Let's rejoice the same way the father rejoices.

I mean, there's more joy in heaven over one center that repents than over 99 that don't need to.

Oh, praise God.

And so when revelation came of his standing, that's when the fatted calf was killed, that's when the music kicked in, that's when the dancing started and making merry and the celebration, and all of that is a picture of the glory.

That's a picture of the glory, the glorious church, and the glorious church is going to have the kind of glory that God wants to lavish upon it.

And glory and gold are related.

The same Greek word, kaboad, I mean Hebrew word, kaboad.

They're related.

So glory and gold mean weightiness and heaviness, and so the heaviness that God wants to give to the church, both the glory and the gold, manifest when the church applies the blood against the accuser and begins to relate to God based on the covenant.

Praise God.

Covenant, the covenant realities, the redemptive realities of the blood of Jesus Praise God.

And so here in 2020, we are enlarging our receivers in order for this to be our greatest year.

Yet God wants to lavish upon us his glory and he wants to be having celebration after celebration.

Because of that Amen, let's lift our hands and receive redemptive realities tonight.

Let's be encouraged in all of the things that we do and all of the things that we're facing.

I tell you, the blood of Jesus has given you the power to overcome every obstacle.

Don't be surprised at some of the obstacles that you're facing.

I mean, it's the greatest year yet, so in many cases it's the greatest challenge.

Some of these challenges we're facing are the greatest challenges.
