Redemptive Realities 4

-
to wave our Bibles around, make Jesus glad and the devil and Democrats mad.
-
Amen, let's say this together.
-
So, heavenly Father, we're so glad to be here sitting under the presence of God, with the Word of God coming forth.
-
I believe I've received revelation upon which my life is built.
-
It's not built on shifting sand, it's not built on theories, but it's built on the eternal, ever-living Word of God in Jesus' name.
-
Amen, praise God, praise God, amen.
-
I just wanna remind our live stream audience, tuned in, on Communion Sunday.
-
We're gonna receive Communion together in just a little while, but first I wanted to share a message entitled Redemptive Realities, because Communion is all about celebrating our covenant and we're hooked up with Almighty God and I just been teaching on this on Wednesday nights, and so I've had three other messages on this that I don't have time, unfortunately, to preach all of that today.
-
I just wanna move on to Communion, because we're receiving Communion together and it's good to when we receive, it's good to base it on what we're talking about.
-
So look in your Bibles, in 1 Peter and also in Romans, chapter eight, 1 Peter, chapter one and we're talking about redemptive realities.
-
There's all kinds of things that are competing for our attention that are not real, they're demonic, they're lies.
-
We need to have the reality and the Bible is the only reality.
-
Amen.
-
And what we believe and how we act, we have to act like the Bible is true.
-
That's the definition of faith, isn't it?
-
Acting like the Bible is true, all right.
-
1 Peter 1, verse 18.
-
For as much as you know, see, something, you've got to know some things.
-
Not guess and not wonder.
-
You've gotta know, and only the Holy Spirit can get it into your spirit, where you know Head.
-
Knowledge is not enough right now.
-
We have to have revelation.
-
For as much as you know that we were not redeemed with corruptible things of silver and gold, from your vain conversation, your vain manner of life received by tradition from your fathers, but you were redeemed with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb, without blemish and without spot.
-
So see, that speaks.
-
He's speaking the language of covenant right there.
-
They knew that better than we know.
-
See, in the Western societies that we have, we have a bloodless, we have what we call covenant, but it's really not covenant.
-
It's just more or less an agreement between parties, this temporary, until something happens and people get mad, or something like that, and people get mad or get offended or walk away.
-
But in Bible days, covenant was not like that.
-
Covenant was based on blood and the life is in the blood, all right.
-
And then in Romans, chapter eight, one of my favorite verses in all the Bible, verse 32, he that spared not his own son but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not, with him, also freely give us all things?
-
Freely, give us all things, boy.
-
What a statement.
-
And then the New English Bible says it this way he did not spare his own son, but gave him up for us all.
-
And with this gift, how can he fail to lavish upon us all?
-
He has to give, and I wanna announce to you today that God has lavished on us gifts that we have not yet received, because God can give it.
-
But what happens on our end?
-
We have to receive it, don't we?
-
I mean, he can give, give, give.
-
And he has lavished on you and I, and indeed every human being on the face of the earth, even those women that were cursing and swearing and wearing funny hats yesterday.
-
I mean dirty, filthy, dirty women and proud of it, proud of being nasty.
-
But God loves every one of them and he poured out lavish gifts and they haven't yet received it.
-
And one of these days, if something doesn't change in their life, they're gonna go to hell with all those gifts sitting in the storehouse that they didn't receive.
-
Isn't that terrible, but it's not too late for anybody.
-
I said it's not too late for anybody.
-
You talk about a message that we have.
-
We've got the message he wants to lavish upon us all.
-
He has to give.
-
Well, he's already giving it in the person of Jesus Christ.
-
Well, how do you say that?
-
How do you pastor?
-
That's kind of a strong man.
-
All right, let's look at John chapter 13 real quick.
John 13 chapter mention
-
John 16, excuse me, john 16, verse 13.
-
I just covered this the other night.
-
How be it?
-
When he, the spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth.
-
He shall not speak of himself, but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak and he will show you things to come.
-
He shall glorify me, for he shall receive of mine.
-
This is Jesus talking, not me.
-
The Holy Spirit, and where is the Holy Spirit?
-
He lives in you.
-
He's in there to show you what he said.
-
He'll receive of mine and show it under you.
-
And then Jesus made the most astounding statement.
-
He said all things that the Father has are mine.
-
Well, if everything that Jesus has, everything the Father has, belongs to Jesus and we're co-heirs, equal heirs.
-
Romans eight says we're equal heirs, then everything the Father has is ours.
-
So we can clearly see that our receivers need to grow.
-
We have not yet received everything that has been lavished upon us.
-
That's the point of this message, because this year, at 2020, is gonna be the greatest year yet, but it won't be a greatest year yet if we don't learn about our receivers and how big our receivers have to grow.
-
We have to run to catch up with what God is doing.
-
Oh, I mean, if we could just open the door and let him come in.
-
And let him come in like he wants to Come on, lift your hands right now, lord.
-
I want more, I want more, I want more, and we're not talking about things, we're talking about him.
-
But with him come everything that you need.
-
I mean he's not listen.
-
It doesn't bankrupt heaven for us to wear nice, live a nice, drive nice.
-
It doesn't bankrupt heaven for us to have what Life more abundantly, super abundant in quantity, superior in quality.
-
That's what Jesus came to give.
-
He's not glorified when we just have this teeny, weeny, little old bitty kind of regard to what Jesus died for.
-
Oh, come on, praise God, thank you, jesus, hallelujah.
-
So I think we can all agree that there's some receivers that we need to build on too.
-
I've been building up on my receiver all this year.
-
I knew we had to run to catch up to what God is doing.
-
We've been talking about inheritance all year.
-
I said we've been talking about inheritance all year.
-
2020, the greatest year yet is because of inheritance.
-
It was based on Deuteronomy 11, said the land that you're coming into is not like the land you left.
-
It's a land that drinks.
-
In the reign of heaven, you used to have to water with your foot, you had to have foot power and irrigation, but this land, I just send the reign and it just brings forth all kind of fruit.
-
God is sending forth the reign right in this hour.
-
He said it right now.
-
This year he said look, you're gonna look back on this year and say, my, my, this is the greatest year of my life.
-
That's what he said back in September of 2019 on Rosh Hashanah, the head of the gear oh, my, and I know some of us have not yet received everything that he's got.
-
I don't think anybody's received everything that he's got, but we've gotten.
-
You know, we've made some progress, but we need to keep making progress.
-
In the middle of all this mess that you're seeing, it's this COVID, this fear, all these masks, everybody's wearing all these masks.
-
And there you go, there's social.
-
They've already.
-
It's proven that none of that mattered.
-
None of what we've done did anything.
-
85% of people that got COVID wore masks and socially distancing.
-
So it doesn't help you, it doesn't help anything.
-
It's a farce.
-
Who made up the farce?
-
Well, non-elected government officials that are swamp creatures.
-
We kind of figured that out real way back last you know, march actually, and we've been here since April, the sixth.
-
I mean.
-
I've told doctors yeah, we've been having church since April.
-
What did you say?
-
And no masks.
-
They call us super spreaders.
-
Yeah, we're super spreaders of the gospel.
-
We're super spreaders of the Holy Ghost.
-
Yeah, we're super spreaders.
-
Man, I'm telling you right now go over to God.
-
Oh, I tell you our inheritors.
-
What did we talk about the inheritors?
-
He said you know, I've given you the power to kick out.
-
You're gonna possess your land by dispossessing.
-
There are satanic squatters on your land.
-
There are poachers and trespassers on your land Trying to steal your health, trying to steal your provision, trying to steal your peace, trying to catch hold of your children and drag them off track.
-
But oh, thank God, we've got power over all the power of the enemy.
-
So we've been preaching on this and I just encourage you to go back the last three Wednesdays.
-
We have it on our website.
-
I think some of the messages are still on Facebook and YouTube.
-
You can find them and you need to go back because I can't preach everything I've done.
-
I built a case based on these two verses this morning and we talked about the fact that the blood and the glory are linked.
-
Everywhere the blood flows is where the power of God can flow, and it goes back to the Old Testament, when Moses anointed Aaron to be high priest.
-
He took the blood of the lamb and put it on his head.
-
He put it on his right thumb and on his right great toe and then, after that, after the blood was sprinkled on him, then he anointed him with oil.
-
So when your blood washed, the power of God can flow through you.
-
We're not gonna be able to possess our promises and our inheritance without God's power.
-
The enemies that are on our land are bigger than us.
-
They're greater than us, but they're not greater than our God, and so it's not about us.
-
It's about the spirit of God on the inside of us, and so the spirit flows where the blood is applied.
-
Gotta know something about the blood, of what the blood has purchased is doing now and what it's gonna do, and so we're receiving this revelation about our bloodline.
-
See, it's all about sons and daughters.
-
We are of the bloodline of Christ.
-
You ought to go through your New Testament, especially the epistles, and underline everywhere says in Christ, through Christ, with Christ, through whom, in whom.
-
That means that we're in Christ, and so we're Jesus on the earth.
-
We're the body of Christ.
-
That's why the devil wants to take the church out.
-
He wants to take the church out because why the church is standing in his way.
-
I got news newsflash devil, you're not taking us out, we're taking you and we're making you irrelevant and non-essential.
-
Amen, praise God.
-
So we talked about the prodigal son, luke 15, and I call the son that God, his inheritance and women blew it all righteous living.
-
That's Bubba, and he's the type of the Christian that has back sled.
-
And then you've got Junior.
-
Junior is the eldest son who basically was eligible for the double portion and he was angry and he wasn't walking on all his privileges, he hung around the hired help.
-
He hung around in the bunkhouse Instead of sitting at daddy's desk and taking over the company business and writing all the company checks and ruling and reigning over the ranch.
-
The Ponderosa, I call it the Ponderosa.
-
Y'all are too young to ever have watched Bonanza, but I grew up watching Bonanza, little Joe Hoss, remember Hoss?
-
Oh, it's a Cork ride.
-
I know y'all, y'all don't even it's in reruns.
-
Just watch it, you'll get a lot out of it.
-
It's real spiritual.
-
It's a real spiritual.
-
It's a real, it's a real spiritual.
-
No, he just didn't identify with his bloodline and neither did his little brother.
-
His little brother got out there, went broke, was starving and he thought, oh, if I could just get back to the house.
-
Even the hired servants had three squares and a house roof over their head.
-
If I can just get back, I'll just tell my dad I'm sinned against you, I'm not worthy to be called your son.
-
Just give me a bunk and treat me like one of the hired.
-
See, he didn't realize that he can't undo his bloodline.
-
His bloodline is there, it can't be changed.
-
And so he comes back.
-
He's got it all planned out.
-
See, he had no revelation of his bloodline.
-
And when he got back, what did the daddy do?
-
The daddy did the daddy shun him.
-
Did the daddy say get back out there.
-
What makes you think I'm gonna give you a plug?
-
No, he embraced him.
-
He'd been looking for him.
-
He ran to meet him.
-
He called for the best robe.
-
He got shoes on his feet, he gave him the signet ring and he said oh, I'm just my son, who was dead, is now alive.
-
He was lost and now he's found.
-
Oh, he was so overjoyed.
-
That's a picture of God's love for all of his children and it's not dependent on our behavior.
-
Why?
-
Because our bloodline, once you're saved I'm not saying once saved, always saved.
-
The only person on earth that that applies to is me, because I was once saved, and that's it.
-
I'm not going back to the devil, but I can't say that about you.
-
You could possibly.
-
Actually, I've seen one or two that went back to the devil.
-
How do you know?
-
God revealed it to me.
-
I mean, that's the danger of backsliding.
-
You finally cauterize your conscience.
-
You sear your conscience with a hot iron until you don't repent and you don't ask God to forgive you, and you just keep going and you keep going, sin after sin after sin after sin.
-
There comes a place and a time when you resist the prayers of the saints for you.
-
You resist your momma's prayers and your daddy's prayers and your siblings' prayers and you resist all the prayers that God puts out there and all the places he has.
-
And then finally, one day, it's possible for you to say I don't want you, jesus, get out of my life.
-
And you say that and believe it in your heart.
-
You're not saved anymore.
-
You're gone and there is.
-
You've trodden underfoot the precious blood of Christ and now there's no salvation for you.
-
That's hard to do, it's not easy to do, it's not easy to get unsaved, but John says it's possible, so I'm not.
-
That's such a rare case.
-
I mean.
-
This whole picture right here is that is that when most people that I know that are backslid are miserable because their spirit doesn't agree with their lifestyle choices, they're just.
-
Their flesh and their mind have made all the choices and their spirit just sitting inside, not lacking it, resisting it.
-
You know what the Father's waiting for you to come back.
-
There's lots of backsliders out there that need to come back to the Lord.
-
I believe we're in the season that happening right now.
-
Some of our kids that are backslid they're coming back to the Lord.
-
Some of our some of our relatives that are backslid are coming back to the Lord and some of them that are resisting are going to go to heaven quick just to preserve them, so that their spirit can be saved in the day of judgment.
-
I'm not saying God's going to kill them.
-
I'm saying they open the door to the devil and God's not going to stop the devil anymore.
-
He's been stopping them and stopping them.
-
Let's quit praying for all the safety and let's start praying that they get real and get right with God.
-
Dr Roy Hicks preached this at Lakewood about 40 years ago and they almost ran him out of town.
-
He got.
-
They got so mad.
-
You mean to tell me I'm not supposed to pray for my children?
-
No, you're praying wrong.
-
That's what he was saying.
-
You're trying to feather their nest when you ought to be pulling all the stuffing out of their nest.
-
You know where they, the little bird feet, get in contact with the thorns and what.
-
What does that do.
-
Well, the little bird gets out of the nest and starts flying.
-
That's what happens.
-
You feathered the nest so long that big fat slob is sitting in the nest when he ought to be flying.
-
I don't know who this is for, I wasn't planning on that one anyway, all right.
-
So so, bubba had?
-
He had no revelation to the bloodline until until the music and the dancing and the and the fajitas started flowing in the Cabrito.
-
He had Cabrito.
-
You ever had Cabrito?
-
That's pretty good stuff.
-
Fatted calf though.
-
He had the fatted calf, but I'm sure they had some Cabrito and and so that's when he realized, hey, I am a son, but then, junior, he didn't have any revelation either of the bloodline.
-
He was mad.
-
This your son is, is wasted.
-
He is living or you're living.
-
So you're living.
-
What wasn't God?
-
It wasn't the father's living anymore, it was given to the son.
-
He had no revelation of his sonship, he had no revelation of his bloodline and he was mad.
-
He was mad at all of the, the glory.
-
There's going to be a lot of folks, religious folks, that are not going to be excited about revival, but a revival's coming.
-
I said a revival's coming because God has to have a revival in the church so we can get this last harvest in, and I confess that this church is going to be the forefront of revival.
-
We are going to be fully awake.
-
We are going to be unashamed of the Holy Ghost, unashamed of speaking in tongues, laying hands on the sick and casting out devils.
-
We're unashamed of the gospel, no matter who it identifies us with or separates us from.
-
Amen.
-
So the bloodline is so important.
-
That's why I'm preaching this, because it's all the redemptive reality of the blood of Jesus and that's brought us our health and our prosperity and many other things that I preached about.
-
So today let's look at Colossians, chapter one.
-
I want to get down to our communion and why we receive communion and get a glimpse of what it is, this wonderful tradition that Jesus initiated.
-
By the way, this is one tradition of the church that Jesus initiated.
-
And in Colossians, chapter one, verse 12, giving thanks unto the Father which has made us meet, are able to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints and light.
-
See, there's that word inheritance.
-
We've been made meat or able.
-
We've been given supernatural ability to be partakers of the inheritance.
-
See, he doesn't want just to have the inheritance sitting on a shelf and you didn't partake of it, you didn't possess it, you didn't bring it down and actually live in the middle of it.
-
What good is it?
-
Yes, if it's just a theory, if it's just a potential, well, I've got great potential.
-
No, potential is baloney.
-
You don't want potential.
-
You want the thing that Jesus died in for for you to have.
-
You should possess it.
-
You're going to have to dispossess the enemy.
-
That's got it.
-
God doesn't have it.
-
God's not holding it up.
-
More about that in a moment.
-
Who hath delivered us talking about God?
-
Who hath, past tense, delivered us from what?
-
The power of darkness.
-
The power, the authority, the control, the jurisdiction of darkness.
-
What's darkness?
-
Sickness, lack, torment, Everything the devil has for us.
-
We've been delivered out.
-
Who hath delivered us?
-
He's not going to do it, he's already done it.
-
Well then, why am I going through what?
-
Because you haven't received what Jesus did for you yet and you have to receive it how?
-
By faith.
-
That's why we preach the Word.
-
Who hath delivered us from the power, authority, jurisdiction, control of darkness and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear son?
-
When you look at that Word hath translated, the best I can put it to you is like a junkyard.
-
Have you ever been to a junkyard?
-
Yeah, it's a scrapyard, you know.
-
They separate, they crush these cars and they've got this gigantic crane with a magnet on it and they pass that magnet on there and all the ferrous metals that are that.
-
That electric magnet will attract it.
-
Just it separates it from the car and everything that's left is one pile and then they co and they take all of that magnetized metal and then they cut the, the, the, the current, and it all drops off in a pile over here.
-
It's separated out.
-
I mean, the power of God came in our lives and separated us out from all of the junk on the earth.
-
And we're over here, we're, we're in the kingdom of his dear son.
-
Oh, I tell you, glory to God.
-
He broke us out of jail, the jailhouse of lack and poverty and and hopelessness, and he pulled us out of there and just went.
-
There you go, you're in the kingdom of my dear son now, glory to God.
-
That's what it means.
-
In whom we have see, that's another word.
-
It's the in whom, in who, in Christ, we have not trying to get, not maybe get some day, in the sweet by and by, in whom we have redemption through his blood.
-
Redemption means the purchase of freedom.
-
We've been made free from sickness, disease, pain.
-
Well then, why am I suffering again?
-
You just need to work on your receiver.
-
Quit talking sickness, and sickness will start to get smaller and smaller.
-
Quit talking lack and you'll start being able to pay your bills.
-
Quit talking about what the devil is doing and start magnifying.
-
Aren't you in the kingdom of his dear son?
-
You ought to be talking about the kingdom.
-
You ought to be talking about what Christ has already done.
-
You ought to be talking about what Christ doesn't matter what it looks like, doesn't matter what it feels like, what the Bible says, rules and reigns.
-
But you got to speak it and you got to say it.
-
It's so easy to say the other, it's so easy to say you know, I'd rather brother.
-
I just call it like I see it.
-
Well, that's the problem.
-
How's that working for you?
-
How's it working for you?
-
It's not.
-
It's not going to work.
-
It's works in the negative.
-
Are you all getting anything out of this?
-
I know I'm preaching to the choir, but there's new people here that never heard any of this kind of stuff before Verse 14, at verse 13, it was the father, who sprang us from the jailhouse of darkness, turned us loose in the new world, his beloved son's kingdom Verse 14, in whom we have our ransomings.
-
He paid the ransom.
-
We were kidnapped, if you will, the moment we were born into this earth.
-
We were born into darkness.
-
Jesus went and talked to the Pharisees.
-
They were supposed to be the most holy people of his day.
-
They were covenant people with God.
-
They had the covenant with God and they were Pharisees Boy.
-
They had all these rules that they kept, you know, and all that, and they added to them.
-
Man made rules, man.
-
They had all kinds of rules that they could glorify themselves in.
-
And he said you are of your father, the devil and the works of your father.
-
You shall do.
-
So.
-
What in the world did they do something so terrible?
-
No, they were born into this world.
-
They were of Adam, and Adam all die.
-
They had not been born again.
-
I said they hadn't been born again.
-
The only reason people go to hell is they're not born again.
-
If we can preach the gospel to them and they receive everlasting life by accepting Jesus as their Lord and personal savior, they can go to heaven.
-
It's not about their behavior.
-
It really has nothing to do with their behavior.
-
It's just their willingness to turn away from their old ways and turn toward Him.
-
Are y'all getting this now?
-
So it's the blood of Jesus that paid for our freedom, and if the Son makes you free, then you're unquestionably free, John 8.36.
-
You're unquestionably free.
-
So what are we doing?
-
Confessing that we're not free?
-
See, this is the, this is.
-
This is 40 years, 33 years in the ministry.
-
This is what I hear people.
-
They have an inconsistent confession out of their mouth about their state In church.
-
They got it together, it's something about church.
-
They're able to talk right in church, but as soon as they leave church, a lot of times they just kind of drift over and they have a confession that fits more with their coworkers or their neighbors or their friends or someone else.
-
How you feeling?
-
Oh, I'm sick of the dog.
-
Well, all right, give us a few barks.
-
I mean, praise God.
-
How about a howl or two?
-
We can have a howl, free, free, free, free, free, free from Satan's dominion, free from sin's control, free from sicknesses, bondage, free from poverty's jurisdiction.
-
Here's one the blood of Jesus restored our lost dominion.
-
Now, this message hasn't reached very much of the church.
-
They're still begging God.
-
Oh God, god, heal the land.
-
Oh my God.
-
I'm not against praying, but why don't we pray the New Testament?
-
We have a better covenant.
-
Well, I pray a Jewish prayer that's not mint.
-
I hear it all the time, it's all around me, everywhere I read.
-
I mean I see it, I read it, hear it and I'm.
-
It sounds like I'm critical.
-
I'm just.
-
I'm just.
-
I want to elevate us to our proper standing that the blood of Jesus bought and paid for.
-
The Jews didn't have this.
-
I got another secret for you.
-
America doesn't have it either.
-
Who initiated this covenant with us?
-
Did we initiate the covenant?
-
Did we say God, if you'll just do this, then I'll serve you?
-
No, god did it.
-
God came.
-
He sent Jesus to seek and to save those who were lost.
-
We were lost.
-
I was lost as a goose.
-
I certainly didn't initiate this, and neither did Abraham.
-
He did not initiate it.
-
He didn't.
-
He wasn't sitting in Ur, you know, and he's looking at his little wife and he and of course he's 60 years old when we first learned about him.
-
So he's not they're not spring chickens exactly Been around a while.
-
He knows she's barren, she knows she can't have a baby, and he didn't say oh God, if you'll get me out of here, I'll tell you what there's be a lot of.
-
Well, you can just go ahead and bless.
-
No, that was all God that came to him and said get out of your father's house and leave your father's country to a place I'll show you and I will make you there a great nation.
-
I will bless thee and make thee by name great.
-
And they shall, all the families of the earth, be blessed.
-
I will bless them.
-
Who bless thee, curse those who curse thee.
-
Who initiated that?
-
It was God that initiated that.
-
Who initiated the covenant between America and God?
-
The Puritans.
-
God didn't do it.
-
God didn't go after them and say now listen, if you'll give me this country, I'll take.
-
No, they are the ones that obligated themselves.
-
And guess what that covenant is?
-
It's not as good as ours.
-
That covenant is really cut after the fashion of the Abrahamic covenant.
-
It's really.
-
It's really.
-
It's got curses to it.
-
Did you know that America is in a covenant with God that has curses and America has not been redeemed from those curses?
-
Because Christ redeemed the church from the curse of the law, not America.
-
So when America does wrong, there are curses involved.
-
That's what we're seeing right now the curse of departing from the God of America.
-
The God of America is the same God over the church, is the same God over Israel.
-
That's the God of Abraham, isaac and Jacob and the father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
-
But the covenant was initiated by people who wanted refuge from England and other places.
-
And they are the ones that swore to God.
-
They are the ones that made promises to God and God took them at their word and said done, I will take that bargain.
-
But there's curses involved.
-
You can go back in history and read the prayer of John Winthrop.
-
He had all the curses of Deuteronomy 28.
-
And all of those curses have been coming to pass.
-
Why?
-
Because this country, not the church, the country has departed.
-
You could make a case about some in the church, but the true church hasn't departed.
-
There is a true church that has not departed from God.
-
That's why we can still be blessed in the middle of judgment.
-
This is still our greatest year, doesn't matter what curses are coming on America, it's still our greatest year.
-
Why?
-
Because we're exempt from all the curses, because we have a better covenant and found upon better promises.
-
I want you to see the importance of our covenant this morning when we take communion together.
-
You have no reason to be cursed in your finances.
-
You have no reason to be cursed in your health.
-
You have no reason to be cursed in your family.
-
You have only the blessing, because that's what the blood bought.
-
Some of you are looking at me cross-eyed.
-
Well, you'll get it tomorrow afternoon about three o'clock, amen.
-
So the whole thing about our covenant is identification and substitution.
-
That's all about that's.
-
Every bit of covenant is about substitution and identification.
-
The hinges upon which the door redemption swings.
-
Everybody say identification and substitution.
-
Jesus identified with our sin.
-
He was made to be sin for us.
-
He identified with our human condition.
-
He was tempted in all points as we are sinning, yet without sin, he's a legal human being.
-
He came to earth through the womb of the blessed virgin Mary and all of that.
-
So he's a legal human being and he is our mediator between God and man.
-
The man, christ Jesus.
-
He is the son of God, but on earth and everything he did as our substitute.
-
He substituted for what we deserve.
-
We deserve to go to hell, he went there.
-
We deserve to hang on the cross.
-
He hung there.
-
We deserve to bleed, he bled, he was our substitute, because he identified with the human condition, and yet without sin.
-
Now, what's necessary?
-
Well, we need to identify with him.
-
We need to quit identifying with our humanness.
-
We're not humans, we're new creatures.
-
That means we're not hyphenated Americans either.
-
And we don't have a black church, we don't have a white church, we don't have a Hispanic church, we just have a church.
-
That's all we have, because that's all there is in the Bible.
-
That's just the church.
-
There is no other.
-
The skin color makes no difference.
-
The background there is no more June or Greek, no more bond or free, no male nor female, even man.
-
Figure that one out.
-
When you get to heaven, man, you're married and all of a sudden it doesn't matter.
-
It matters, but I mean it doesn't matter.
-
I can't explain it, I'm just reporting it.
-
Thank God, I don't have to explain it.
-
We haven't touched, we haven't even touched what Jesus has done for us.
-
We just middle around, middle around, or the natural and all these theories, and it keeps us down below what God has purchased through the blood of his son, the blood of his cross, the blood of his cross, verse 20, colossians 1.20.
-
And having made peace through the blood of his cross blood, not the blood of bulls and goats that blood.
-
So we ought to identify, then, with our father's bloodline.
-
We are of the bloodline of the father because the son shed his blood for us and now we're one with him.
-
Are you with me?
-
Now You're following me.
-
So in Genesis 15, let's turn back and we're going to get on to why we do communion.
-
Give you a little more revelation about covenants Again, because our western culture is weak on covenants.
-
Marriage is supposed to be a covenant.
-
That's why, when they redefine marriage, they sin against God.
-
You talk about something that needs to be undone.
-
Can you imagine what it's going to take to undo that?
-
I just don't know if we'll ever have the gumption to do it, but the church should stand for it.
-
The church should demand it.
-
Are we going to get it?
-
I can't guarantee that, because men are elected and sometimes they change their mind.
-
When they're elected, they'll tell you one thing and do something totally different when they get to Washington.
-
Is there going to be a political will to get this undone?
-
What about abortion?
-
Is there going to be a political will to actually undo abortion?
-
I don't know the answer to that question.
-
I just know that 60 million children have died and that blood is crying out against a nation that is listen.
-
It's not crying against the church.
-
The church is redeemed from the curse.
-
If you had an abortion in your life, listen.
-
If you forgot, you've been forgiven.
-
That's cleansed.
-
There's no, there's no record of that against you, but against the country, against the people that wanted that law in there and and rejoiced.
-
New York just a year, january of 2019, they passed a law that says it's okay to abort a child up to the moment of birth, and they had a bunch of cheering and they lit the Empire State Building up in pink to celebrate death.
-
You think this, this country, isn't under a curse?
-
You better think again.
-
This country is under a curse.
-
We can say God bless America all day long until we're hoarse, and he can't, until that's, until that's noted, and, and, and, and.
-
We cry out to God to forgive us and we start to change it.
-
Oh, y'all are looking at me like I'm.
-
This is this.
-
This election is so important I can't even tell you.
-
If we get it wrong and the church doesn't show up, who knows how long it'll be.
-
You know God can push pause on the on the countdown.
-
Have you ever seen down at NASA?
-
They have countdowns and they push pause on the countdown if there's a problem.
-
God, god paused the children of Israel going into the promised land for for 40 years.
-
He got so mad at them and he said all right, I'm going to push pause and I'm going to let you guys die in the wilderness till your children grow up, and then they'll go in.
-
And if they had gone in, he'd pushed another Paul.
-
You know, god's not limited to time.
-
If I, if there's a fear I have, there's a fear that we're going to not fulfill what God has in mind for our generation.
-
It's up to us All.
-
Right, genesis 15, you get.
-
Find it.
-
So again, god is is initiating this.
-
After these things, the Word of the Lord came unto Abram in a vision, saying fear not, abram, I'm thy shield and thy exceeding great reward.
-
Abram said Lord God, what will you give me, seeing that I go childless in the steward of my house, as this Eliezer at Damascus?
-
And Abram said behold to me you've given no seed, and and low one born in my house is my heir.
-
In other words, he's accusing God of not going back on his word.
-
And behold, the Word of the Lord came unto him saying this shall not be thine heir, but he that cometh forth out of thine own bow shall be thine heir.
-
And he brought him forth abroad and he said look at the land you know, look at toward heaven.
-
See the stars.
-
Verse six he believed in the Lord, he counted it to him for righteousness and he said I am the Lord that brought the out of the earth, the Caldees, to give thee this land to inherit it.
-
Lord, god, whereby shall I know that I shall inherit it?
-
See, there's inheritance.
-
How do I know that I have an inheritance?
-
And verse nine God said essentially get me a heifer.
-
In other words, I'm going to cut the covenant with you.
-
So God initiated there was a, there was a.
-
Abraham wasn't calling for a covenant, he just asking questions.
-
And God's answer was I'm going to swear that, blessing, I will bless thee in, and multiplying, I will multiply thee by two immutable things.
-
The book of Hebrews says by two immutable or unchanging things they would have an assurance.
-
What were the two things?
-
His oath and his promise.
-
How many of you believe that it came to pass?
-
It did come to pass, didn't it?
-
But he had, he had to cut the covenant with Abraham.
-
What does the covenant mean?
-
It means that God said if it doesn't come to pass, I'll cease to be God, I'll die.
-
All covenants are based on blood and you are swearing by your life that you will uphold your end of the covenant and if you don't, you forfeit your life.
-
That's why they were not temporary.
-
That's why they I'm going to cut the covenant with you, but it's going to expire this time next year.
-
No, forever, forever.
-
That covenant we're about to read about is in effect right now to the Jewish people and their homeland in Israel.
-
This is why God gets mad.
-
When we make them sit down with people that hate them and give away that land that God gave them, we become part of the problem instead of part of the solution.
-
Are you with me?
-
Get me a heifer of three years old and a she-goat of three years old, a ram of three years old and a turtle, dove and a young pigeon.
-
And he took all of these and he divided them in the midst and laid each piece one against another, but the birds he divided not.
-
So just think about it.
-
We got a heifer three years old, we got a she-goat and a ram.
-
He divided them.
-
What do you mean?
-
Well, right, he cut them in half, down the backbone, all the way down the backbone, and laid them out like this that's lots of blood, that's lots of smell, and they're all laid end to end.
-
Just big old blood everywhere, a blood all of it.
-
What does that signify?
-
God's blood?
-
Because he's cutting the covenant.
-
He's swearing to Abraham you're going to inherit this land.
-
You're going to be a daddy.
-
This Eleazar is not your heir.
-
When born of your own bowels, is going to be your heir.
-
It's not going to be Ishmael, his name is going to be Isaac.
-
He says this later on, but it was Isaac, and Isaac shall your seed be called.
-
And the Bible says that we are the seed of Abraham by faith in Christ.
-
We're part of this covenant.
-
We're part of the fulfillment of the covenant.
-
Are you with me now?
-
So he took over all these, divided them in the midst, laid each piece one against another, didn't divide the birds, just laid them out.
-
And when the fowls came down upon the carcasses see the buzzards tried to come and eat, had to drive the buzzards away.
-
And then, finally, the sun was going down.
-
A deep sleep fell upon Abraham and low, a horror of great darkness fell upon him.
-
He said unto Abraham, no overshorty.
-
Then he starts prophesying to him about the future.
-
I won't get into all of that.
-
Verse 17,.
-
He came to pass it when the sun went down.
-
It was dark.
-
Behold a smoking furnace and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces.
-
In the same day, the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying unto thy seed, have I given this land from the river of Egypt, under the great river, the river Euphrates.
-
So then this burning lamp came and walked through that.
-
Who was that?
-
Well, that was pre-incarnate Jesus.
-
Jesus, pre-incarnation form, the same one that accompanied them in the wilderness pillar of fire, by night cloud, by day Jesus.
-
The same one that appeared, you know, before they crossed the Jordan River and a captain of the host appeared to Joshua Are you with us or against us?
-
I am the captain of the host.
-
I am going with you into the promised land.
-
Are you with me now?
-
All this covenant stuff?
-
That's same.
-
Jesus is with us in the person of the Holy Ghost.
-
All right.
-
So in Bible days, tribes would cut the covenant with each other.
-
It was a normal thing in those days.
-
As I said, the Western culture is not wired that way, but it was based on strengths and weaknesses of people groups.
-
For instance, you might have an agricultural tribe that were good at growing food but maybe not as good at defending their fields against thieves.
-
And then you might have a warring tribe, somebody that's skilled in warfare, but they don't stay in one place long enough to have anything to eat.
-
So that would be a likely union between two tribes.
-
Because if you cut the covenant together, then you're saying you know you can be my supply for what I'm weak in and I'll be your supply for what you're weak in, and so the sum of the parts is greater.
-
You know there's a union there.
-
And so they'd choose an animal, just like God chose several animals.
-
That's the import of this covenant.
-
It wasn't one animal, it was a bunch of animals, and you split that down and there was much blood.
-
And then the next thing you'd do between the two chiefs there would be an exchange of coats.
-
One guy would take his coat off, the other guy would take his coat off and they'd exchange, which means all that I am, all my authority is yours.
-
Then they'd have an exchange of weapons and basically the weapons says I'm giving you all my strength.
-
Your enemies are my enemies, See, and they're doing this reciprocal.
-
I mean, they're going back and forth across this blood.
-
They're saying this the coats are exchanged, the weapons are exchanged, I'm with you under death.
-
And then they have what they call the walk of the blood.
-
They walk in the midst of the pieces.
-
That's what we saw there, that burning and a shining lamp came down in the midst of all that blood, right when the sun was going down.
-
And traditionally they would walk in a figure eight, a figure eight through the blood like this.
-
Well, you know, when you turn that figure eight on the side, it's the sign of what Infinity, forever, forever and ever.
-
There's no one year covenant, there's no temporary covenant.
-
It's forever.
-
They're binding their own seed to this covenant.
-
I mean, when Junior gets of age, he's got to obey that covenant, and when his son gets of age, he's got to obey that covenant.
-
That's why America is in covenant with God and that's why those guys 1600, it's still on us today.
-
We've never.
-
We're under that covenant, whether we like it or not.
-
There's a lot of people don't like it.
-
They want to change it, but guess what?
-
There's one in heaven that's not going to be very happy if they do, there's going to be huge consequences.
-
If Joe Biden is the president because you know he won't be president very long Kamala baby will take over and she won't be.
-
She really just a figurehead.
-
I mean, she's not smart enough to rule anything, so there's going to be a conglomerate of people behind her and it could be the last election we ever have Probably will Forget about church.
-
They'll shut it down.
-
They shut it down in California.
-
They shut it down in different states.
-
The church is still shut down in a lot.
-
I mean, you heard that Jewish couldn't even meet.
-
They were told by Cuomo oh, you got to obey the law.
-
You can't meet in synagogue.
-
They're violating their rights openly and they don't care.
-
You think they're going to care after they get elected.
-
The walk of blood you standing in blood.
-
You made promises that you can't break and then you would lift your hand and you would swear to God who is the third person of that covenant.
-
When I do a wedding ceremony, that's exactly what we do, a very similar.
-
We don't shed blood, but I'm saying God is the third party to the covenant between a man and a woman.
-
God is the third party in a three fold cord is not quickly broken.
-
That's right.
-
It's all based on covenant.
-
And then, so you know, remember, when Abraham came, you know he came from the slaughter of the kings because lots stuff was stolen by these other foreign armies and he couldn't defend himself.
-
You know lot, couldn't.
-
He didn't have an army.
-
And so, because that's his nephew, he went after Abraham, went after and recovered all.
-
He brought all the spoils and the king of Sodom met him in the way.
-
He said, oh, you can just keep all the good, just give us the kids, women and kids back, please.
-
And he said you think I'm gonna keep all this.
-
I've already lifted up my hand to God and I'm not gonna let you tell everybody that you made me rich.
-
See, he's talking about the covenant.
-
He lifted up his hand to God and swore that he would stay in covenant relationship with God.
-
Are you with me now?
-
Yeah, he lifted up his hand.
-
That's what they do they lift up their hands.
-
And then, finally, the last thing is, the two parties to the covenant would cut themselves in the palm or in the wrist.
-
Actually, the wrist is part of the hand.
-
So it differed with different cultures.
-
But you've often seen, you know, back in the old Western days, you know when you'd cut the covenant with you know the chief, the Indian chief, they would shake hands.
-
That's the blending of the blood Blood to blood.
-
We're one.
-
Sometimes they let the blood flow out of the wound into a cup of wine and drink the wine.
-
Sometimes they just drink the blood, depending on the culture.
-
What is the reason?
-
What are they doing?
-
They're saying this is holy, this is sacred.
-
In our Western society we break the contract all the time.
-
Did you know that this church you're sitting in a church that was done on our own, on a handshake.
-
There was no contract.
-
I said there was no contract.
-
The beginning of this building and this land that we're on was a handshake between me and our farmer.
-
We shook hands way back when he was still our landlord, so that would have been about 1998, 96.
-
1996, we shook hands and this is a result of shaking hands.
-
Now we had some paper that we had to go through and title company and all that, but the original agreement was a covenant between an unbeliever and me.
-
That's how powerful it is.
-
My word is my bond.
-
That's what's missing in today's society.
-
Are you with me?
-
Are you getting anything out of this.
-
So, then, the shedding of Jesus' blood released a new and everlasting covenant, and we have to change how we're thinking because we can ever hope to change what we're saying.
-
With the eternal dialogue that many of us have, we think wrong a lot, we let thoughts run along pathways in our mind.
-
I call it an internal dialogue.
-
The best thing I can talk about is like an endless loop.
-
How many of you remember the eight track tape?
-
The eight track tape was an endless loop of whatever music most of the time, and so I had a car with an eight track tape player.
-
Gladys' first job after we got married moved to college station in Corpus and she was a one girl office with a group of about 10, life insurance agents, and she was one girl office.
-
She answered the phone, she kept everything going in there and one of the perks was music.
-
They had music all day long.
-
The only problem was they only had one eight track tape.
-
So every day, for how long did you let work there?
-
A year and a half, something like year and a half.
-
I think she'd worked there a year and a half when I was finishing up A&M.
-
She worked, she pushed hubby through.
-
She got her PhT, pushing hubby through, and she worked and I finished up school and she had one eight track tape, roger Miller, and all day long, every day, the entire music would play.
-
It's only 10 songs on the tape and she would listen to those 10 songs eight, nine hours every day, five days a week.
-
You know you can't roll her skate on a buffalo herd.
-
You can't roll her skate.
-
She has twitches whenever she hears Roger Miller Dang me, dang me, I'll take rope, hang me high from the highest tree.
-
She's already twitching.
-
Oh, I don't even look her way when I say that, but that's what I talk about in internal dialogue.
-
It created an internal dialogue.
-
I mean that's your brain is made to do that.
-
Your brain is made and you start thinking a certain way and those thoughts will travel that pathway until you take a hold of it and use your authority to break that pattern and you stop thinking like you're just weak, that you don't have any authority, that you're not worthy, that you know that's never.
-
Nothing is ever gonna change.
-
It's just.
-
This is the way it is.
-
That's pain.
-
I live with this pain.
-
I can't yes, you can Listen.
-
Jesus already took it.
-
You don't have to get it.
-
He already gave it to you you gotta change what you're thinking in order to ever change what you're saying, and then you've gotta believe in your heart.
-
Brother Hagin, that's what the Holy Spirit told him.
-
He said you need to teach people what to say.
-
My people are not missing it on what they believe.
-
They miss it on what they're saying that we rarely say what we believe.
-
We believe one way, but we stalk along this internal dialogue.
-
We're gonna take authority over that internal dialogue.
-
We're gonna start thinking covenant thoughts, the realities of our covenant, redemptive realities.
-
The more you meditate on your redemptive reality, the more your faith grows, the more your receiver expands and the more we actually experience all that God wants to lavish.
-
Lavish upon us, hallelujah.
