into the Word, and something I like to do is I like to wave our Bibles up in the air like this, wave them around, make Jesus glad and the devil mad, and let's together, let's aim our faith at receiving from the Word of God tonight, say Heavenly Father, I'm tuned in tonight on purpose.
-
I'm determined to hear what the Spirit of God is telling me in this hour.
-
For me, I have ears to hear and I have eyes to see.
-
I have a heart that is obedient and I thank you for building my spirit and nourishing my faith with your Holy Word.
-
In Jesus' name, amen, praise God, let's turn in our Bibles again to Joel, chapter two.
-
Last week, we started a message entitled the Day of Restoration, and this will be the second message on that subject, the Day of Restoration, joel, chapter two, and we'll start reading with verse 23.
-
Be glad, then, you, children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord, your God, for he has given you the former reign moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the reign, the former reign and the latter reign, in the first month, and the floors shall be full of wheat and the vats shall overflow with wine and oil, and I will restore to you See, there's that word.
-
I will restore to you the years that the locusts have eaten the canker worm and the caterpillar and the palm of worm.
-
My great army, which I sent among you and you shall eat in plenty and be satisfied and praise the name of the Lord, your God, who have dealt wondrously with you and my people shall never be ashamed, and you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel and I am the Lord, your God, and none else, and my people shall never be ashamed there.
-
It is a second time, and it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions, and also upon the servants and upon the handmaids.
-
In those days will I pour out my spirit and I will show wonders in the heavens above and in the earth blood and fire and pillars of smoke.
-
The sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the great and terrible day of the Lord come, and it shall come to pass that whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved, for in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the Lord has said, and in the remnant, whom the Lord shall call so the day of restoration.
-
I want you to notice this prophetic word by the prophet Joel has meaning for the Jews.
-
It has meaning for the church.
-
It had meaning for the day the Jews lived in.
-
It has meaning for us right now.
-
I mean, that's the way prophetic words often are.
-
They're like from one mountain top to another and then skip a couple of mountains and go way out in the future.
-
Jesus prophesied that way, and so it's good for us to pay attention to these prophetic words, because this prophecy was quoted on the day of Pentecost, and really the day of Pentecost was prophesied.
-
And so Peter, on that day of Pentecost, you know, when people gathered and wondered what in the world was happening to these men and women 120 they came out of the upper room.
-
They looked drunk and Peter had had to stand up and say no, these people are not drunk, as you suppose, but this is that spoken by the prophet Joel.
-
And so in Acts, chapter 2, verses 28 to 32, he quoted these verses, many of these verses, in that preaching, and the amplified says it says it this way this is the beginning of that prophesied by Joel.
-
And so you notice, here in Joel it says that I will cause for you to come down the rain, the former rain and the latter rain.
-
Well, that's kind of that.
-
Can't be talking about crops, it can't be talking about natural rain, is talking about supernatural rain and in the agriculture society they had the former rain, which is planting rain.
-
They had the latter rain, which was harvest rain, and it took a lot of rain to harvest a crop, to drive it into putting fruit on, and if you didn't get enough rain at the end in the latter rain, you'd have a poor crop or maybe no crop.
-
If you didn't have enough rain in the front end of the planting season, the seed wouldn't germinate.
-
But he's clearly not talking about a natural crop because he's talking about the former and the latter rain together and you see, we're living in the days when we're going to have both of those coming together.
-
The book this is the beginning of that.
-
You know, the prophet Joel was quoted in Pentecost.
-
So that was not a fulfillment, exactly because that was the former rain, it was the beginning.
-
It was the planting season of the harvest of the precious fruit of the earth.
-
God began the church on the day of Pentecost, the Holy Ghost was poured out, and that was rain.
-
But we're living in the days when the former and the latter rain are going to come together.
-
There's going to be a mighty move of God.
-
We have not yet seen it.
-
Let's not give up, let's not quit, let's not thank God for God us.
-
There's coming a mighty harvest.
-
There's coming a mighty day of restoration.
-
Really, we're living in that day.
-
We're living in that day right now.
-
We could say a season of restoration, and so this is the beginning.
-
Here in in the book of pen, in the book of Acts, the Amplified says this is the beginning of that.
-
So then, surely now is the culmination.
-
Now, pastor, you're talking so fast.
-
I don't get it.
-
I don't understand how you would possibly know well, because there's a whole lot happened for 2000 years.
-
First of all, just in the last hundred years, israel became a nation.
-
Jesus said the signs of my return are going to be this watch the fig tree.
-
And according to Joel 1, 7, the fig tree is Israel.
-
And Luke 21, he says watch the fig tree and all the other trees, the prophetic nations.
-
He's not talking about trees, he's talking about nations.
-
He talked about Israel specifically and the prophetic nations around Israel who want to defeat her, want to kill her.
-
I mean all those nations around Israel.
-
They hate Israel and they hate Israel first and they hate Christian second.
-
So in the Middle East they talk about the Saturday people and the Sunday people and they say, first come Saturday, then come Sunday, that's code, for they're gonna kill us.
-
I mean, they don't want to have peace, there's no peace.
-
They don't want to have peace with Israel, they want to drive Israel from the land altogether and they want the land for themselves.
-
So then God has got a plan here in the last days and we're living right in this slap dab middle of the end days and we need to be rejoicing, not sad.
-
We need to be glad and not not frustrated.
-
You know, when you get your eyes on the world, you get your eyes on the, on the news media, where really there is no news, there's narratives.
-
There's no such thing as news anymore.
-
It's just a made-up narrative.
-
It is really a plot to try to brainwash as many people to believe in what they're, that what they're selling.
-
I'm just I'm so shocked that people believe the government when they talk about COVID-19.
-
I'm I'm shocked that the people believe that masks do any any good at all.
-
I there is no science, absolutely no science, for masks.
-
There's no science for social distancing.
-
There's no science for shutting schools down.
-
There's no science that says that shutting down the economy helps anything.
-
It's a virus, and I like what James, my son-in-law, said recently.
-
He said you know, it does no more good to wear a mask against a virus than it does to build a chain link fence against a mosquito.
-
I think chain link fences won't keep mosquitoes out, will they know?
-
They won't, and neither does a mask.
-
So these, and just look at the multitude of people that are believing it in, fearful and worried, and they're trying to stay safe, and all these, these, these governmental things.
-
You know and I'm not picking on anybody in particular there's lots of people that that believe and they're sincere.
-
They don't know what to believe.
-
Well, that's the church's job is to stand up and give people some guidance, let them hear the real truth.
-
The church is the pillar and ground of the truth.
-
So if you can't hear the truth in church, where can you hear it?
-
Well, I guarantee you won't hear it on NBC, cbs, abc and in all the rest of the alphabet suit.
-
So getting back to why we should be glad we're living in the days of restoration.
-
You know, in the in the Judaism, in the law they had a feast called the Feast of Jubilee, and it occurred every 49 years.
-
On the 50th year they would celebrate Jubilee.
-
It was a Sabbath of Sabbaths, seven Sabbaths.
-
So the 49th year into the 50th year, that would be the Jubilee, and in the Jubilee, if you were a Jew and you had loaned someone money and they had not paid you back and you had taken their land as collateral, in the 50th year you had to give that land back, and so that was to the intent that there be no more, no poor among my people.
-
That's exactly why the Jubilee was codified in the law, and so that way it gave people a fresh start, and otherwise smart people, people that have it all together, people that are good negotiators, people that think ahead, would wind up with all the money and everybody else would be poor.
-
That's kind of where it is in our nation.
-
We've got a whole lot more poor people than we should have, and I guarantee you it's because of governmental policies that they've adopted in the last 50 years, exporting jobs overseas.
-
So there's a lot of similarities.
-
So the word Jubilee is all about restoration.
-
Just think if you were in that case.
-
Maybe daddy, when he was younger, mortgaged your home and now someone else owns it and you're just.
-
You don't have anything.
-
Well, you know, on the day of Jubilee you get your home back, you get your land back and you get to start over.
-
Maybe you'll be smarter than dad was, maybe you'll be able to keep it, maybe you'll do a better job of doing business.
-
But that was the way it was.
-
And the Jews got away from doing that.
-
They disobeyed the law of Jubilee and they started hoarding and God's judgment fell upon them.
-
Well, why am I talking about all that?
-
Because when Jesus stood up, in Luke 419, he said the Spirit of the Lord is upon me because he's anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor.
-
And he was talking about five groups of people the poor, the brokenhearted, the blind, the bound and the bruised.
-
And then he said to preach the acceptable year of the Lord in verse 19, he's talking about the Jubilee.
-
So we entered into Jubilee the day that Jesus poured out his Spirit on Pentecost.
-
We have been living in the day of Jubilee ever since then the day when whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
-
That's why I can be so strong in saying that right now is the time of restoration.
-
The day of restoration, it's Jubilee for the church, it's Jubilee for us.
-
There is a transfer of wealth happening right now.
-
Let's not exclude ourselves.
-
Let's stir ourselves up to realize the time that we're living, and this is the time of rejoicing.
-
We ought to lift up our heads or our redemption Draweth nigh.
-
Jesus is coming soon and he's not coming for a broke down church full of sickness, full of poverty, no answers.
-
No, he's coming back for a glorious church not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing.
-
So I'm getting to preach here, I'm preaching myself happy, all right.
-
And so it says here in verse 25 in Joel.
-
It says it seems like that the devil has eaten years.
-
You know, god says, you know the locusts, the canker worm, the caterpillar, the palmarworm, my great army.
-
Now, that's kind of troubling, isn't it?
-
See, god said basically I allowed the insects to consume your crops because you backslid away from me, you quit serving me, you started worshiping other gods.
-
If you look at the history of Israel, that's what they did.
-
They got caught up in the gods of Canaan land and they started worshiping false gods, and that's not good.
-
Well, what's happened to our nation?
-
We got away from the Bible, we got away from church, we got away from serving God.
-
We used to be one nation under God.
-
Now we're one nation out from under God.
-
There's no mystery by things are going on.
-
It's not that God sends the trouble.
-
It means that we have gotten out from under His protection and under His blessing.
-
I mean, if His blessing is here and we walk over there, well, guess what?
-
The blessing's not over there.
-
Rocks are going to hit us in the head over there, and that's what's happened to us.
-
We need to get back under the spout where the glory pours out, and so that comes to a place called.
-
That we call revival We'll get to that word in a minute but restoration.
-
So, even though it seems like the devil has eaten years and eaten all decades of years, yet God says I will restore, and in the Hebrew that means I will surely make amends, I will surely make restitution, I will surely recompense, recompensate the word recompense, recompensate I will surely make peaceable again the years.
-
Praise God, it's not over, it's just getting started.
-
Folks, let's not get all down in the mouth about what's going on, let's not let the news media convince us that it's all over, it's just getting started.
-
And so let's look at Acts chapter three now where, after it was quoted in Acts chapter two and then Acts chapter three, you know what happened there.
-
Peter and John went up to the temple in the hour of prayer and they found a beggar there, and he was a temple beggar.
-
He had a certain coat on and he was approved, and so the Jews had to help him.
-
Alms Almsgiving was part of their religious obligation, so he was a legal beggar.
-
And so if you wanted to give him money and help him, because he was a lame man, he'd never walked above 40 years of age, never had walked.
-
And so if you wanted to fulfill the law by giving alms, you could give this man alms, and many had done that.
-
And so when Peter and John came up to him, they said Silver and Gold have we done?
-
See, he thought they were gonna give alms.
-
He said Silver and Gold have we done?
-
But such as we have give?
-
Iv, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.
-
And he rose up, they grabbed him by the hand and jerked him on his feet.
-
Immediately, strength went into his feet and ankle bones and he went walking, leaping, praising God, into the temple and there was a multitude of Jewish people saw it and so he began to preach to them.
-
They're in Acts, chapter three, and 5,000 men got saved on that day.
-
These were the same Jews that hollered crucify him to Jesus just a little while before that, and here they are getting saved At a miracle that they saw and notice what Peter said in verse 19.
-
Peter's preaching to the Jews.
-
And he said Ritpenshi therefore, and be converted that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.
-
Times of refreshing, kyros moment the Greek is.
-
It's also kin to the Hebrew word Moed.
-
It means an appointed time, it means an appointment.
-
It also means a season, a season of refreshing, or we could say in our modern thinking, a season of revival shall come from the presence of the Lord.
-
That's exactly what happened on that day.
-
They got to be part of the first revival after Pentecost and it came from where it came from the presence of the Lord, and 5,000 people got saved on that day.
-
That's what we need right now?
-
We need a great revival.
-
I like this definition of revival.
-
Revival is the inrush of the spirit into a body that threatens to become a corpse.
-
I think that fits the church right now.
-
The church is so dead it might as well be a corpse.
-
I mean, much of the church is hiding, much of the church is afraid, much of the church is silent.
-
20% of churches since COVID was discovered, 20% of the churches in this country have shut down and they'll never open again.
-
And I predicted this when I was on the Michael Berry show back in April of last year.
-
He did a 30 minute interview with me and I told him.
-
I said there are gonna be lots of churches that never open again after this.
-
They'll never open again.
-
Livestream is not a church.
-
This service right here is a close to a church.
-
But we have regular services Sunday morning and Sunday night and we just do this one as a convenience for our people, because it's so far over here for a lot of our folks.
-
So we're just trying to.
-
I'm not committing to doing this forever, but for now I think we'd have a good mix of having live services on Sunday morning and Sunday night and then Livestream on Wednesday night.
-
But anyway, getting back to this times of refreshing, times, of revival, god has sent revivals one after another in the church history for 2000 years and for some reason in the 20th century he sent multiple revivals.
-
We had the Pentecostal revival in the turn of the 20th century, 1904, the Zusa Street revival.
-
Then you had the Great Healing revival of the 1940s and 1950s where people, it just seemed like it was so easy for people to get healed.
-
I mean they'd have these big tent meetings and there'd be a wheelchair section with 15 or 20 people in wheelchairs and they would all get up and walk, and that was just one example.
-
Blind eyes open I mean just all kinds of miracles and of course because of healing then many people got saved during that revival.
-
Then you had the Charismatic revival in the 60s.
-
You had the teaching revival in the 70s and just about every 10 years, and sometimes about every five years, we're having revival in the church.
-
You see, it takes revival in the church to have reformation in the world.
-
I want to say that again, it takes revival in the church in order to have reformation in the world, to repent in the world.
-
How can the world repent if they don't hear the gospel.
-
And if the gospel isn't being preached because the church is dead, because the church forgot the word repent.
-
You'll notice, the very first word that Peter preached on that Acts, chapter three, revival, was repent.
-
Now there were a turnaround quit walking the way you are and believe the gospel.
-
So then he says repent, therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord and he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you, whom the heaven must receive or retain until the times of restitution.
-
There's that word again used restore, restitution, used in the book of Joel.
-
There are times of refreshing that have to happen until we have the times of restitution, the Kairos moments, the appointed times of restitution of what we already said making amends, I will surely make restitution, I will surely recompense.
-
You see, it's recompense, it's payback time for the devil and pay day for the church.
-
That's exactly what time we're living in.
-
That's what time we're living in right now.
-
So he said whom the heavens must retain until the time of restitution of all things which God has spoken by his, by the mouth of all his holy prophets, since the world began.
-
So what we're seeing right now is we're seeing the fulfillment and the culmination of Joel.
-
If the book of Acts was the beginning of that spoken by the prophet Joel, then we're living right now in the days of the culmination of the prophet Joel.
-
When we read the prophet Joel we ought to jump up and down.
-
It says to rejoice and be glad, and we ought to be even more glad than the Jews were, because there's so much more impacting us than it did them.
-
So I want to stress again this is time for payback Pay day for us, payback for the devil.
-
The devil's gonna get his, devil's gonna get his.
-
They been so God is performing in these days all that the prophets have spoken.
-
Now.
-
Last week we talked about Bible examples.
-
We talked about how sometimes there's lots of gaps and we've had 2000 years since the book of Acts.
-
That's a long time, but yet the Bible says one day with the Lord's a thousand years.
-
A thousand years is one day.
-
So in the mind of the Lord it's not very long, not in the light of eternity.
-
And besides that, the Bible says in James, chapter five, that God has long.
-
He longeth for the precious fruit of the earth and he has long patience for it until he received the early and the latter reign.
-
See, I believe we're right on the edges of that end time revival the church needs in order to get that end time harvest that God's been waiting on.
-
So the Bible examples I used last week how about Moses?
-
You know, he spent 40 years learning the wisdom of this world and he's 40 years on the backside of the desert, completely forgotten.
-
I thought God had forgotten him and then God called him out of the burning bush and he spent 40 years in the glory before he went to heaven or went to Abraham's bosom.
-
He didn't go to heaven, he went to Abraham's bosom, and same with Joshua, so he spent 30 years helping Moses in the wilderness, you know, obscure, seemed like a waste of time, but then he spent, you know, 40 years helping the children of Israel possess their land.
-
You know what a what a?
-
He got 40 years in the glory.
-
Same with Caleb Joseph.
-
The same way, I mean, he spent 18 years as a teenager, being bullied by his brothers and sold into slavery, 13 years in prison, and then he came out as a prime minister of Egypt and God fulfilled everything that he told him he was going to do so.
-
God is faithful, he's going to fulfill his word.
-
We have no reason other than to rejoice and be glad.
-
So there's no wasted time.
-
You know, in the time of obscurity and the time when it seems like God's not working, we can't see him, we can't feel him, we can't hear him.
-
But he's working, he's faithful, he watches over his word to perform it.
-
There's no wasted time.
-
God doesn't doesn't have any wasted time.
-
If we just trust him all the way through it, we learn how to trust God in times of trial and obscurity.
-
So it's just time to rejoice.
-
That's what the word says.
-
Now let's look at Acts, chapter two again, and I want to read a couple of verses out of there.
-
You thought I forgot Acts chapter two, but here he's quoting Peter on the day of Pentecost.
-
He's quoting the book of Joel, in verse 19,.
-
Peter is telling this to the Jews from all corners of the earth.
-
They were there in Jerusalem and they were wondering what does this mean?
-
What meaneth this?
-
And so he took the time to preach to him and 3000 men got saved on the very first day of Pentecost.
-
And he says and I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs in the earth, beneath blood and fire and vapor of smoke.
-
The sun should be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before that great and notable day of the Lord come, and it shall come to pass that whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
-
So he's quoting exactly the book of Joel and he's saying this is the beginning of that Prophecy being fulfilled.
-
And again I'm making the point that now we're living in the culmination of it, where we're gonna have the former and the latter rain.
-
We're gonna have more Holy Ghost miracles, more people saved.
-
I mean, our floors are gonna be full of wheat.
-
What's wheat?
-
It's harvest.
-
Our vats are gonna overflow with wine and oil.
-
What does that mean?
-
Anointing and supply it's gonna overflow.
-
There's gonna be an overflow.
-
So Wonders in the heavens, signs on there.
-
I don't know if you remember, but back in 2014, in 2015.
-
I remember it Well, we had back-to-back Blood moons.
-
We had two in 2014, exactly on a Jewish feast day, and then it turned around.
-
The next year, 2015, we had two more blood moons.
-
What is a blood moon?
-
That's an eclipse, a total eclipse of the moon, and it appears to be blood red in the night sky and we had four blood moons in two years.
-
All four of them were on a feast day of the Jews.
-
That is a sign in the heavens.
-
I remember Rabbi Jonathan Cohn wrote wrote the blood moon book.
-
I was a real Amazing book.
-
If you've never read it, get up copy and read it.
-
But these are sent as it's like a billboard, like you're going down the road and you see, you know Spring cypress road one mile.
-
Then you know, before you get there, if you're driving down to 90, you see spring cypress one mile, you know that's time to get off in one more mile.
-
Well, that's, that's what these signs are.
-
These signs are in heaven.
-
They're hanging up there and they're saying Jesus is coming.
-
Don't forget.
-
See, god doesn't want to surprise us.
-
He wants us to be ready.
-
He wants us to be ready, and so Another thing that he did back then was he released a giant wave on the earth.
-
Signs in the earth beneath Wonders in the heavens, above signs.
-
What kind of signs?
-
Well, I remember in in 2016, during the presidential run-up of the election, number one Brexit happened.
-
That was the exit of Great Britain out of the European Union.
-
You talk about a cat Catastrophic move that shook the European Union to its core.
-
They've been weakened and there's been a lot of politics played with that, but it was a major thing, it was a sign.
-
It was like a.
-
And then, on on top of that, right after that, a tsunami hit in this country and Trump was elected to be president.
-
That was a.
-
That was a tsunami wave that God sent Across the bow of the godless to let them know that they only think they're in charge.
-
If you'll go back to 2016, everybody, it was a foregone conclusion that Hillary Clinton was gonna be president.
-
I mean, and he had no chance whatsoever.
-
There was nothing but mockery.
-
There was nothing but just laughter.
-
They thought it was just a joke and they quit.
-
They, you know, they quit laughing and they started trying to get rid of him illegally, by the way and then nobody's paid a price for that yet they will Either an hour in the next life, they will.
-
So these were great signs.
-
Now I remember, in March of 2016, right after this was right during the early part of the Presidential primaries Nancy Reagan died, and it was a Sunday, and I said, boy, that's, that means something.
-
I got home.
-
I said, okay, god, what does her death mean right now.
-
What does that mean?
-
And and he, he gave me that it was a.
-
It was a the death of the establishment.
-
Well, they didn't go away, they didn't die, but it was a Death nail to a lot of Republican establishment types.
-
A lot of them left the Senate and the house the very next term.
-
They didn't run for reelection.
-
A lot of the people in the high ups of the Republican Party lost all credibility Within the next year and you don't even hear about them anymore.
-
Everybody that land against Trump.
-
They lost, and so it was a huge thing.
-
God sent this sign in the earth.
-
And Then another thing that happened Schlafly, phyllis Schlafly, who was a Lion of a woman, who was a Christian woman, conservative.
-
She held a standard against all the crazy now women, you know, national organization women, all the liberal women.
-
So she, she died, and that was a signal that there was a new conservative leadership coming.
-
I believe it's still being settled.
-
I believe there still needs to be new, new conservative leadership.
-
I think, yeah, trump, but there's got to be others, or guy, and I think God is beginning to shake all these these people out.
-
We, we found out just in the last two months who's a real, who's a real conservative and who's a fake, and why?
-
Why do we call talk about politics?
-
Well, it's all wrapped up in Whoever is for God, who's ever for Jesus Christ.
-
I mean, you got to believe that Trump was the most pro-life president we've ever had.
-
He was the biggest friend the church ever had.
-
I Don't think there's any doubt that he was on Trump side.
-
God, daughter, republican or a Democrat, he's on the side of right, he's on the side of righteousness.
-
So another death in that time was Castro died, which was another signal that God was gonna smite communism.
-
And he did.
-
And well, you will look at a they won.
-
Well, they haven't won much yet.
-
See they, they just getting started and they've got a lot to.
-
They've got a long way to go before they knock us Completely off.
-
Let's not, let's not quit, let's not quit a bit.
-
And so what we see here is the glory is a plumb line.
-
It.
-
It brings separation between judgment and blessing.
-
It brings separation between judgment and blessing.
-
Well, what do you mean by that?
-
Well, okay, let's go back to exit is 14.
-
I'm going a little longer tonight.
-
I hope you can follow me.
-
But one thing about it you can always listen to this message again and take some better notes.
-
But in exit is 1420.
-
Remember, the children of Israel left Egypt and they and they followed the pillar of fire by night, cloud by day, all the way to the, to the banks of the Red Sea, where they stopped.
-
And Then the cloud moved and came on behind them and camped between them and and the arm is a Pharaoh which came up right behind them.
-
And all night long God sent an east wind to blow over the Red Sea and and it parted, and.
-
But all that night, the, the pillar of fire, was comfort and Strength to the children of Israel and it was, it was, it was, it was torment and fear to the, to the soldiers of Pharaoh.
-
And so then, early the next morning, the children of Israel, they just followed that fire and it said go on across the Red Sea and and and so the pillar paused.
-
It didn't lead them, it just paused right on the, on the banks.
-
And the Bible said that God saw the, the feet of the and the and the chariots of Pharaoh through the cloud, and he had, he, he, he was angry at them and he began to, to Work against them and he knocked off their chariot wheels.
-
And then, finally, of course, the water Came out over the top of them and drowned all of them, including Pharaoh 600 Men and Pharaoh all drowned in the same sea that the children of Israel had marched pictoriously through.
-
And so what am I saying?
-
Well, the glory separated the righteous from the wicked.
-
Are you with me?
-
This is what we're in right now.
-
The righteous and the wicked are being shown right now.
-
There's no doubt who's righteous.
-
There's no doubt who's wicked.
-
I mean all these people advocating for LGBTQ and all this gender craziness.
-
It's absolutely insane what they're doing Changing the language.
-
It's crazy, but they're serious about it.
-
They're serious about it, and so is God.
-
Let me tell you, god's opinion hasn't changed All right.
-
Another example First Samuel five through First Samuel seven.
-
Because of Israel being so backslidden, the ark had been captured by the Philistines.
-
Eli died.
-
He didn't watch over his wicked sons.
-
He let them have a charge of the temple and the money and all of that.
-
And they did wrong by all that and took advantage of the Jewish people, stole their tides and all that.
-
So Eli died.
-
When he heard that his sons had been killed in battle, he fell over backwards, broke his neck and died, and the ark was stolen by the Philistines for a while, but then plagues and death.
-
They couldn't handle the ark, they couldn't handle the glory.
-
The glory was in the hands of the wicked.
-
You see, the glory cannot be handled by the wicked.
-
It'll kill them.
-
The only people that can be close to the glory are the righteous amen, that's the church of Jesus Christ.
-
And so they said look, we can't stand this, this is killing us, let's send it back.
-
So they put it on a cart and had a cow haul it down the road and it went down and went into this guy's place and everybody from all around was curious.
-
They wanted to see what was inside the ark.
-
56,000 Jewish, stupid Jewish people.
-
Sorry, but that's what.
-
They were, stupid, I mean, they didn't know what the word said.
-
They went down there and they were nosing around wanting to open the ark.
-
56,000 of them died right there on the spot.
-
And so yet when the glory was honored, when they honored the glory, there was blessing and Israel repented and put away the idols and they were attacked by the Philistines Again.
-
Samuel cried out to God on behalf of Israel after they repented and God thundered so loud that it killed a bunch of the Philistines and they had great victory.
-
Just the thunder killed the Philistines and the Jewish people went after them and spoiled them and took all that kind of.
-
And so, there again, you have the glory.
-
When you're right, when you have consecrated yourself, when you have handled the glory correctly, when you have the fear of the Lord, when you have the reverence of God's presence, you can be near Him like that.
-
But when you're not, it's death.
-
And I'm telling you right now, in this climate that we're in right now, there's gonna be people dropping dead on the other side.
-
They're gonna finally blaspheme God to the point where he's gonna manifest Himself.
-
Are you pastor?
-
I can't believe you're.
-
I'm just giving you a little advanced warning, all right.
-
One more example, second Samuel, chapter six, where this is where David was longing to get the ark back, and the ark had been absent from Jerusalem.
-
He wanted to bring it back, and so he didn't read the Bible, he didn't consult the priests, he just had a good idea, and that idea was just to put the ark on a cart, kind of like the Philistines did, and have an ox draw it down the road.
-
Well, that's not the way.
-
The word says that it has to be born on staves through the ark of the covenant on the shoulders of the Levites, and that's got to be done.
-
That's what you have to do in order to handle the glory.
-
You can't just put it on a cart, and that's what they did.
-
And so they had people on either side of the cart, because it was a bumpy road and it was rocking back and forth, and the man named Uza put out his hand to steady the cart that the ark was on and the glory broke in on him and killed him instantly and everybody was afraid and David was angry.
-
How are we gonna get to that?
-
No, we're just trying to help, we're just trying to do right.
-
Well, he didn't pray, he didn't seek the Lord about the proper way to handle the glory, he was not prepared properly and someone paid with their life.
-
And so then the Bible says that the ark went into a place by the name of a man's name, obedidum, and his house was blessed, just the presence of God.
-
Blessed Obedidum, just having entertaining the presence of the ark on his farm.
-
I mean, he was blessed beyond measure.
-
And then, when, finally, david consulted the prophets and they found out oh, we didn't do it right.
-
And so then he made sacrifices, then he had the Levites there and they conducted the ark back to Israel and they were greatly blessed.
-
So there again, the presence, the glory of God is a blessing when you're ready for it, and it can be death when you're ill, when you're not ready for it.
-
It's the day of restoration, it's payback time to the devil, it's payday for the church.
-
So I've got three things that we need to think about right now, in this season that we're in.
-
Number one the first and all has to do with our own effort.
-
Number one cleanse yourself.
-
Cleanse yourself.
-
It's not the time to live loose.
-
It's not the time to not manifest the fear of the Lord.
-
The fear of the Lord is not being afraid of God, it's been reverencing God.
-
It's knowing how to behave in the house of God.
-
Yes, we have a lot of fun.
-
We run, we shout, you know.
-
But there are times in the service when the presence of God comes down and it's real holy, and then that's when you need to be quiet, that's when everything needs to be going up and not out.
-
There's a difference between praise and worship, and the more and more, as we get further along in the glory, we're gonna have to recognize a difference.
-
And so Hebrews 12, one says and therefore seeing we also are accomplished about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside, let us lay aside every weight and the sin which does so easily beset us.
-
So lay aside weights and sin.
-
Weights is anything that keeps you from serving God the way that you should.
-
Some people have let their businesses be their God.
-
They're just busy seven days a week.
-
They don't have time for church.
-
You know what?
-
You're too busy.
-
There was a day when God winked at that, but not now.
-
And if you've got to, you might have to take some time off to come to church.
-
You might have to get docked and pay to come to church.
-
I've never said that before in my life, never said it.
-
And we like to not condemn people.
-
We like to be open.
-
That's why we have three services a week plus a prayer meeting on Thursday night, so that people can make it to church.
-
But you know more and more, this economy demands people to work all the time.
-
I know people that just work all the time.
-
You know what?
-
Just believe God to change jobs and make time for God, put Him first.
-
Now's the time to lay aside the weight.
-
May not be a sin, but it's a weight.
-
And then, of course, sin.
-
Notice you're not praying.
-
Pray, oh God, help me.
-
You know, help, get rid of this.
-
No, no, you do it.
-
You do it.
-
Take the sword and cut it off, or you take it out and lay it aside.
-
Lay it aside, you have to do that.
-
The way you do.
-
That is when I see people doing that.
-
They expanded their receiver.
-
You know, david was a rich man, but he didn't care about riches.
-
He wanted God's presence.
-
He'd do anything to get God's presence back to Jerusalem.
-
He wanted so much God's presence.
-
He wanted to build him a house.
-
And God had to say no, you're not gonna.
-
You're a man of blood, you can't build it.
-
It's good that you wanted to.
-
You know what I'm gonna do, though I'm gonna build you a house.
-
So because God, because he loved God's presence and he put God first, I'm gonna tell you have you ever read about David's house?
-
Man, I'm telling you right now, it wasn't a Jim Walter home.
-
I mean, it was not one of these cracker boxes I'm talking about.
-
This thing was amazing.
-
And God said I am gonna build you a house.
-
And I mean, that house was amazing, it was huge.
-
And so, at this time, when you cleanse yourself, expand your receiver, get ready to receive all that God has for you.
-
Let's be righteousness conscious and not sin conscious.
-
Let's be blood conscious, let's be covenant conscious, let's be bold.
-
When we come into his presidency, the sure sign that you need to clean some things up is when you're kind of ashamed, halfway embarrassed to come into God's presence.
-
That you know.
-
Look, let's spend some time and let's get all that stuff off of us and let's cleanse ourself.
-
Number one, number two, second Timothy, one through six stir yourself, stir yourself.
-
The Bible says stir up the gift which was given you by the laying on of hands.
-
And I like to amplify fan the flames and rekindle the embers of the fire.
-
I mean we need to be on fire for God, not on fire for this world, not on fire for things, not on fire for other things.
-
Just stir yourself up.
-
Ephesians 6, 18 says be being filled with a spirit, be habitually and continually filled with a holy ghost.
-
Speak into yourself in psalms and hymns and spiritual psalms, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.
-
I mean you ought to be singing in your heart to the Lord every day when you wake up, you ought not be turning on the news and getting the bad.
-
It's not news anyway, it's lies.
-
I mean almost all of it's lies, and even the good news is bad news.
-
It's just all the things the devil is doing.
-
I'm tired of hearing it.
-
I don't want to hear.
-
I look at headlines.
-
I know generally what's going on.
-
I know generally what they're doing in Washington, what they're doing in Texas.
-
And then I cut it off and stir yourself up, be full of the holy ghost, give him thanks, give him thanks.
-
And so it's like when you live in the place where, after you've prepared your heart by cleansing your heart and you expand your receiver, god's going to come on to you and he's going to say what do you want?
-
What can I do for you?
-
And be sure that you don't ask for little things, don't ask for something little easy.
-
Start lifting your sights and start asking for big things, ask for things that are so beyond anything you've ever asked before.
-
Why am I saying this?
-
Because these are the days that we're living in, and it's going to take a tremendous amount of money to preach the gospel to the remaining people groups.
-
It's going to take a tremendous amount of money to do the rest of what God has for us to do.
-
It's not just all about us.
-
It's about the third thing.
-
See, stir yourself up.
-
First of all, expand your receiver.
-
Number two God is asking what else can I do for you?
-
Come on, come on, show me, tell me.
-
When David heard God was going to build him a house, he didn't say Jim Walters, be fine, I've got this little 1,400 square foot house here.
-
It's got attached one car garage.
-
It's beautiful, man, it's got yeah, it's got a Kalichi driveway.
-
Maybe one of these days I'll put some plants around.
-
No, he got this huge mansion.
-
You know, he got that.
-
I mean, he man, he didn't stop.
-
Well, wait a minute.
-
That sounds so carnal.
-
No, wait till number three, wait till number three.
-
Number three give yourself.
-
Say so three things cleanse yourself, stir yourself, give yourself, give yourself, get so much that you can ask others.
-
What can I do for you?
-
What can I do for you?
-
What do you need?
-
Can I help you?
-
We, our church, just got through doing this recently, when this freeze happened.
-
We put out a call.
-
We had a people that needed help and we had a group of people that could give the help and we put those people together and there was a group of people that went around helping people get their water back on, fix their leaks, you know, advise them about the insurance.
-
I mean we had one group that was given and one people that were receiving.
-
I'm telling you it works.
-
Acts, chapter three, verse six give yourself.
-
Oh, don't forget about that, see, otherwise it's kind of it sounds kind of selfish when you realize that you're asking for more so you can give more.
-
He gives seed to the sower.
-
See, look what Peter and John did.
-
Peter said silver and gold have I none, but such as I have, give I thee, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.
-
He gave.
-
He gave that.
-
That man at the gate beautiful, the true riches.
-
I mean he could have given him a 50 cent piece.
-
He could have given him $5.
-
He could have given him money, but what he gave him was healing and he never had to beg again.
-
He could make his own living.
-
Praise God.
-
So give yourself your carriers of the glory.
-
You have the good word of God on the inside of you that you can share with people.
-
Just shine and people will look you up.
-
They will ask you how come you've got such accounts?
-
How is it that you can be so happy?
-
Right now, I'm doing all I can do to just hang on.
-
How is it and we're going to have opportunity after opportunity to reap the harvest in these days so freely you've received, freely, give Amen.
-
It's the day of restoration.
-
Let's not forget it and let's praise God for it.
-
Come on, lift your hands and receive the word of God.
-
The day of restoration is here.
-
It's here right now.
-
Hallelujah, hallelujah, payday for us.
-
Pray back for the devil.
