Let's reach down and pick up our bibles, wave them around, make Jesus glad, give the devil a nervous breakdown.
-
Hallelujah, thank you.
-
Worship team, beautiful, beautiful.
-
Let's say this together Say, heavenly Father, there is absolutely no one like you, father, like Jesus, like the Holy Ghost.
-
Oh, I'm so grateful that you chose me to live in the last of the last days, and so I believe I receive the grace to stand in these perilous times.
-
My foundation is sure it's this new covenant and my faith is in the blood of Christ that cleanses me of all unrighteousness.
-
It gives me boldness to stand against the evil that surrounds and not to succumb to it.
-
But I overcome it in Jesus' name.
-
Amen, you can be seated.
-
Let's turn in our bibles, please, to the book of Hebrews, chapter three.
-
I want to continue the message I began last week, and the title of the message was Consider Jesus.
-
That's what I'm talking about today.
-
Consider Jesus, hebrews, chapter three, and also Hebrews, chapter 12.
Hebrews 12 chapter mention
-
Hebrews three one.
-
Wherefore, holy brethren, that's how God sees us Partakers.
-
See what's partakers, partner, shareware.
-
Just think of that.
-
We're God and sons, unlimited.
-
We're part of an enterprise called God and sons.
-
I know some of your daughters, but I'll go with me here for a moment.
-
You see some of these old antique trucks.
-
It'll say Martin and sons.
-
You know, blacksmith, martin and sons, whatever.
-
We're God and sons, instead of being incorporated, it's LTD.
-
You know LTD is limited, we're unlimited.
-
Everybody say God and sons, unlimited.
-
See, you're part of an enterprise, pray it.
-
It's kingdom business, kingdom business.
-
So consider the apostle and high priest of our profession, or our confession, or in other words what we say, christ Jesus, who was faithful to him.
-
That appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.
-
For this man talking about Jesus was counted worthy of more glory than Moses in as much as he who have built at the house has more honor than the house.
-
Being a home builder, I can relate to this verse.
-
I didn't ever get very much honor as a home builder.
-
Most people honored the house more than me.
-
They cared about the house.
-
Why?
-
Because they were paying for the house and a lot of money for it, so I was forgotten, except when there were defects that I was caught, very important to them.
-
The warranty work was very important.
-
You missed a spot in my dressing area One time.
-
I had to get on my hands and knees and crawl under the dressing table of the master bath we used to have dressing knee spaces.
-
One woman was you know, people don't do that anymore, they stand up anyway.
-
Back in then they had a little stool and they'd sit there and make up their face and the painter had missed a little spot underneath their dressing table, about a half inch long and a quarter inch wide.
-
But the only way you could see it was turn upside down and lay up underneath it and look at it.
-
You know what I said.
-
I said you know what this comes under the heading of do it yourself.
-
So much for that warranty.
-
All right, so, and then Hebrews, chapter 12, book of Hebrews is so powerful.
Hebrews 12 chapter mention
-
New Testament see, I spend more time in the New Testament than I do the Old Testament.
-
Typically, I read about three times as much, maybe even more now, maybe more now, four or five times as much.
-
Why?
-
Because that's my covenant.
-
Gospels tell me what Jesus did when he was on the earth.
-
I want to be like Him.
-
You got to read the Gospels.
-
But for me to identify with who I am, I've got to read the epistles, because they're written specifically to me.
-
But Jesus was sent to who?
-
The lost sheep of the house of Israel.
-
So a lot of things he said.
-
Not talking to the church, he's talking to Jews.
-
I don't know who needs to hear this, but that's kind of basic.
-
You hang around here long enough.
-
You'll get the basics where all the confusion will leave you.
-
People have been taught so bad, so wrong for so long.
-
They don't know which end is up.
-
I was reading actually I was listening to Paula White the other day.
-
She was preaching about the Barna 2020 Barna survey of Christians and specifically, evangelical Christians.
-
These are evangelicals mean that they're not mainline denominations, like you know, methodist and Episcopal and all of that but you know, like Baptist, they believe in born again.
-
Right Evangelical believe in born again, believe in preaching the gospel all over the world, transformation and all that.
-
Something like 40-some-bodied percent of evangelicals believe that the Holy Spirit is just a symbol.
-
75% of evangelicals don't read their Bibles at all.
-
Is there any wonder that our country is in trouble and that we've lost anyway?
-
Another subject this is so rich.
-
Spend time Wherefore seeing we also are accomplished about with so great a cloud of witnesses.
-
What does he talk about?
-
All those guys and gals he talked about in chapter 11, the hall of fame of faith, I call it.
-
They're all looking over the edge of heaven and watching us run our race, seeing who's gonna endure, seeing who's gonna break the tape.
-
Not against anybody, no, we're not.
-
It's not a competition race, it's just an endurance race.
-
Wherefore, seeing we also accomplished about with so great a cloud of witnesses, how are we gonna win the race?
-
Lay aside the weight and the sin that does so easily beset us and let us run with patience.
-
And let us run with patience and endurance to the race that is set before us.
-
Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher or developer of our faith, who, for the joy that was set before him, endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the majesty of the throne on high.
-
For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself.
-
Consider him, consider Jesus, who endured such contradiction of sinners against himself.
-
What's it talking about?
-
The people that wouldn't receive him healed multitudes of people.
-
He multiplied the loaves and fishes twice.
-
Multitudes of people were impacted by his ministry and yet, when he hung on the cross, they said crucify him.
-
Crucify him.
-
And the group that he was sent to didn't accept him as Messiah.
-
Well, he endured that.
-
He endured.
-
Consider him that endured that contradiction of sinners.
-
You think you've got it bad.
-
You think we're living in a tough time.
-
Consider Jesus.
-
Consider Jesus Lest you be wearied in faint in your minds.
-
That's what's happening to millions of Christians.
-
They are fainting because they don't hear Jesus preached.
-
Pulpates in many cases are closed still, or if they open back up it's just baloney feathers.
-
No, you're gonna hear Jesus.
-
Consider him, and so consider means to fix one's eyes and mind on.
-
We have to fix our eyes on Jesus and our mind have to do that.
-
Our five senses are being overloaded with demonic demonstrations, lies, fear, violence.
-
Have you ever seen such violence?
-
Senseless, mindless, crazy violence.
-
And Joe wants to take the guns away from good people.
-
I haven't heard whether FedEx there in Indianapolis was a gun-free zone, but I'm almost positive it was.
-
Everywhere there's a gun-free zone, there's mass murder, because they know that nobody's gonna fire back.
-
They can get out there with any kind of gun.
-
They can get out there with a BB gun and make your life miserable.
-
They might not kill you but they can hurt you.
-
But oh, they go get an AR-15 or they go.
-
You know this punk.
-
At least we don't have to spend money to try him.
-
He's already dead, pastor.
-
Why so mean?
-
Well, you know, this is what we're producing in our society and I propose that the church has got to make a difference.
-
We're still here to make a difference.
-
We're not here to just complain about it.
-
Amen, and this message, these two messages, are the way that we can make a difference by considering Jesus, so we talked about last time.
-
He's the apostle and high priest.
-
Who is he?
-
He's the apostle and high priest of our profession, or our confession, or what we say about things.
-
What we say about things is so vital right now.
-
Most Christians don't even know that, or they knew it and forgot it.
-
But we got to do more than complain.
-
We've got to speak in light of this new covenant.
-
Fix our eyes.
-
He's the apostle and high priest.
-
What does that apostle or high priest do?
-
Well, I preached on the present day, minister of Jesus, a few weeks ago.
-
Make sure you get those messages, because they're vital for you to understand what I'm talking about today.
-
I don't have time to redo it all, but it's a foundation, as I lay a foundation for your life.
-
You know, it's just like building a house.
-
I built a lot of houses in 25 years of building and I couldn't ever build one overnight.
-
It took several months.
-
In my case when I built in West U, it took almost a year to build a house there.
-
They had so many rules and regulations and inspections Tough.
-
But the high priest's job is to administer, execute, implement and carry into effect what you say.
-
So when you say what the word says, that's the highest confession, that is a professional confession.
-
I mean, if you have a profession, doesn't it have a language associated with it?
-
Like you know, if you're an airplane pilot, you've got a certain way of speaking to the tower.
-
If you don't speak the right words, the tower can't really communicate properly with you and you can't understand what the tower's saying to you.
-
If you don't have that professional language that goes with being an airline pilot, or an airplane pilot for that matter, then he might be, you know, can just be a private pilot.
-
But you've got to adapt that.
-
If you're a doctor and you're a nurse that's helping the doctor and he's telling you to give him that instrument, you better understand what that instrument is and be able to slam it into his hand, bam, like that, where it doesn't fall out into the open surgical wound.
-
I mean, how wouldn't that be a?
-
You know, some piece of steel falls down in there and cuts somebody open.
-
Again, doctors doing my open heart surgery and I punched a hole in my heart with a catheter.
-
It's kind of dangerous in the operating room.
-
You know what I mean.
-
You've got to really know what you're doing.
-
You've got to have a professional language.
-
Are y'all with me?
-
Our language is right here.
-
We need to adopt what does the word say?
-
See, and he's the high priest over it, consider him.
-
When I see how weak the church has become and how it'd be easy to get frustrated and kind of throw your hands up.
-
But God told me to wake the church up, he must have a plan to get it awakened.
-
I don't believe God is finished.
-
I don't believe God's finished with the church and I don't believe he's finished with America.
-
So let's quit complaining and let's just speak the right words.
-
Hebrews 10, 23 says this says you know, let us hold fast to profession of our faith without wavering, for he is faithful.
-
Who promised the problem with living in the world that we're in and all the things that our five senses are receiving fake news, lie, all of that is, it's easy to all our professional confession, our profession of faith can waver, and when it does, we tie our high priest's hand.
-
He cannot carry into effect what we're saying, but who can?
-
The devil can carry it into effect and he will.
-
Are y'all with me now?
-
So consider Jesus, consider the Word.
-
We talked all about this last week.
-
Well, why are you going over it?
-
Because we need to hear it again.
-
Faith cometh by hearing and hearing.
-
Consider the Word.
-
Jesus and the Word are one.
-
John chapter one in the beginning was the Word.
-
The Word was with God and the Word was God Verse 14,.
-
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.
-
So when we talk about Jesus and consider Jesus, it means that we have to consider the Word.
-
We have to keep our eyes and mind fixed on what the Word is.
-
And when we get a contrary report from the doctor or from the tax attorney, it's tax time.
-
We have a few more weeks.
-
They added on to it.
-
Now it's May 17th instead of April 15th.
-
A lot of people are gonna have to pay a surprise tax now, so they're giving them a little more time because of COVID.
-
It's easy to say, oh no, what am I gonna do?
-
No, what does the Word say about this situation.
-
That's our first default.
-
The first inquiry that we have whenever we're faced with a bad report is what does the Word say?
-
See, that means that we are fixing our eyes and our mind on Jesus or on the Word.
-
And now we're in better shape because we're not gonna react in an emotional fashion and say something that we're gonna have to say oh Lord, pray a crop failure on that.
-
I've had to do that before.
-
Have you ever had to do that?
-
Say something you know and, oh, I shouldn't have said that, lord, I pray a crop failure on that Word.
-
In other words, I don't want that Word to come to pass, amen.
-
And so it's time for the church to be word ruled.
-
That means you have to read your Bible.
-
Don't be like these dead heads.
-
You don't ever read their Bible.
-
Well, you know, I read the Bible.
-
No faith cometh by hearing and hearing.
-
It doesn't come by having heard.
-
It doesn't come from what you heard 50 years ago, 30 years ago, two months ago.
-
You need to read the Bible.
-
Well, I don't have time other than you to reorder your priorities.
-
There's an answer to everything you're saying.
-
All the stop signs you're putting up to God have to be put down, because nobody has ever lived in the last days until now.
-
And that's us.
-
We're gonna have to put a whole lot more effort into Christianity than the group, the deadheaded group, that's out there right now and that includes a whole lot of high ups that are on television all the time.
-
It's obvious when I listen to them they spend a whole lot of time working for their kingdom.
-
I don't hear a whole lot of kingdom of God in their voice.
-
I don't hear a lot of faith in there.
-
I hear a lot of theories.
-
You know you can't build your life on theories.
-
I like what Brother Hagin's definition of a theory is.
-
A theory is a supposition based on ignorance of the subject under discussion.
-
I'll say it again it's a supposition based on ignorance of the subject under discussion.
-
That's a theory.
-
And your faith can't be built on theories.
-
It can only be built on the solid rock, the word of God, amen.
-
And so last week I was telling you the testimony of building the second phase two of this building and I had a word count the cost.
-
And I was counting the cost of the new building and it was surprising how expensive it was.
-
And what was even more surprising was the lender's interest rate quote, 8.5%, and so when I started counting the cost, I was considering withdrawing the idea of adding on to the building.
-
And so I went to the Lord and I hadn't really prayed yet.
-
I was going to pray and ask him what to do, and before I could even pray he gave me another word.
-
He said it's time to count the cost of doing nothing.
-
Anybody remember that?
-
Last week Some of you heard that and it was a word to you and I saw it in the offering.
-
Last week Some of you gave monies that were unusually high for you.
-
I don't know everything about each person.
-
I just know when I look down the list of people that give and I say a big figure, and I look at that name, I know you did over and above your best and so I salute you if that's one of you.
-
And I knew it wasn't for everybody, because some of you just y'all maintain excellent in generosity.
-
But evidently I had a word from God.
-
Some of you were thinking about maybe coasting a little bit because of the freeze damage, because of maybe you've been laid off.
-
You know you're counting the cost of.
-
You know how many of you know if things are getting more expensive.
-
All of a sudden there's inflation.
-
Gas pump, gas lens is a lot more expensive right now, and so forth and so on.
-
And so that was a word for you.
-
You know, let's count the cost of doing nothing.
-
And so you sowed that extra seed.
-
Praise God, you're gonna get a bountiful harvest.
-
I'm telling you, right now, this is not the time to slack off, and of course that's a word for me.
-
Right now, it's not time for slack off.
-
We've got a lot more improvements to do all over the church.
-
We're talking about it constantly.
-
We've got other things to do in children's church.
-
We're gonna.
-
You know, we're replacing monitors, we're replacing electrical, you know, items.
-
We've got some things to do outside.
-
We hadn't even gotten started with updating and upgrading.
-
This was $350,000, what we did so far, but there's a whole lot more to do.
-
Praise God, amen.
-
All right, consider the word, consider Jesus, consider the Holy Ghost.
-
So God and His Word are one.
-
So God and Jesus and the Holy Ghost, that is God.
-
That is God.
-
I mean, you've got people that say the Holy Ghost is a symbol.
-
No, the Holy Ghost is the third person that God is.
-
He is the part of God that lives in every believer.
-
So if you think he's a symbol, you're not saved dummy.
-
You need to get saved.
-
Why are you even going to church?
-
Why don't you retire?
-
It's amazing.
-
How can you go to a church and believe that there's not a real Holy Ghost?
-
People that come to this church know there's a real Holy Ghost because he's here all the time.
-
I mean he comes down.
-
Glory to God First.
-
John 4, 4,.
-
Greater is he that's in you than he that's in the world.
-
We have nothing to fear from this cabal of communists that have taken over the government, and they have taken it over.
-
I mean, remember all the times they called Trump a Nazi.
-
They called him a dictator.
-
Well, there's a dictator in chief right now.
-
He's just making laws with his pen.
-
It's totally unconstitutional what they're doing.
-
Praise God.
-
What greater is he that's in us that he that's in the world?
-
In 1 Corinthians 6, 16,.
-
What Know you not that your bodies are the temples of the Holy Ghost which you have of God and you bought with a price?
-
You're not your own.
-
Therefore, glorify God in your body and in your spirit.
-
With your gods, we don't belong to ourselves.
-
He bought and paid for us, and that's what's wrong with so much of the church.
-
They've gotten on Facebook and they think that they're really relevant.
-
They've got 50 followers that like their posts, and so that means that what they say is very important and they have basically gotten out of the idea that their lives are not their own.
-
They've gotten out of the idea that Jesus is Lord over them, that he is their Lord and master and there really should be love slaves of a love God.
-
But no, now they're too relevant.
-
Now they're too.
-
So they're walking around like everything that they think and if they don't get what they want, they're really mad and they feel put upon and they're gonna vote for whoever politician it is that will give them the goodies.
-
If it's reparations for something to happen, you know way back when.
-
Let's vote them in, let's get the reparations going.
-
Well, you're gonna pay for the reparations.
-
Darling, where do you think the money's gonna come from?
-
And when that's gone, you want more.
-
It's gonna be gone just like that.
-
Because inflation is gonna go through the roof.
-
We start printing money to pay certain members of the society money because of their offenses.
-
Why not just live right now and know that God has put you in the greatest country on the face of the planet.
-
There are people dying in the desert to get here and here you are wanting to be paid.
-
There's something wrong with that picture, isn't it?
-
Where did they get that idea?
-
Prummy churches, charlatans behind the pulpit Are you with me now?
-
Oh, I'm telling you.
-
Oh, thank God, for the Holy Ghost, let's not lose that idea.
-
We've got to grab ahold of it and teach our children.
-
We've got to get this into our children while they're at home, while they're young, I mean.
-
And then, when you expose them to public schools, you have to realize you've got to get involved with what are they saying?
-
What are they?
-
What are they being?
-
Of course, other kids are telling them all kinds of things.
-
You've got a decision you're going to have to make at some point.
-
I think we're just about there.
-
All right, we don't belong to ourselves.
-
And then consider not what you see or hear or feel.
-
You know for a.
-
2 Corinthians, 5, 7, for we walk by faith and not by sight or not by what it seems like.
-
We walk by faith.
-
Faith in what?
-
Faith in this Bible, faith in this covenant that we have with God and it keeps us safe.
-
And I've used Abraham last week, romans chapter four, verses 16 through 24.
-
But he considered not his body, now dead, 99 years old, nor either the deadness of Sarah's womb.
-
She's 90, and she's been barren her whole days.
-
And now she's double-barren.
-
She's double-dead because she's too old to have baby.
-
I mean, it's one thing to be barren and there's one thing for it to be impossible.
-
And so there you are Biologically she can't have children, and she sure can't now that she's 90.
-
And God said otherwise.
-
God said look up at the stars, Abraham.
-
So shall your seed be.
-
And so he got.
-
So shall your seed be.
-
He regarded the Word.
-
He did not.
-
He considered the Word God spoke.
-
He considered not his dead body nor her dead womb.
-
He considered that Word.
-
Are y'all with me now?
-
Yes, Praise God.
-
And Isaac came, praise the Lord.
-
He considered the promise and the performer of the promise.
-
You know God that makes the promises, but he also does the performing.
-
All right, so this week I want to wrap this message up.
-
Let's look at Hebrews, chapter 10.
Hebrews 10 chapter mention
-
I'm going to add to the consider.
-
Consider, jesus is the message.
-
And let's look at verse 21.
-
Hebrews, 10, 21.
-
In having a high priest over the house of God.
-
So Jesus is our personal high priest, but here he's talking about the house of God, so he's talking about the church.
-
So not only does the Holy Spirit live in us personally, but he lives in the church corporately and he's the high priest over what the church is saying.
-
He administers, he executes, he implements, he carries into effect what the church is saying.
-
There's such great power when a church begins to speak the same thing.
-
Love plus unity equals miracles.
-
Unity is so powerful.
-
In the Old Testament when all the priests, they began to worship God and they all were in one voice, it says they lifted up their voice and worship God with one voice.
-
The glory fell when they dedicated the temple and the priests could not stand in the presence.
-
They couldn't perform their priestly duties.
-
What happened to them?
-
They got so drunk with the glory of God.
-
That's what happened when the one voice went up.
-
And there's only one way for that to happen and that's when we love one another, love plus unity.
-
Then you can begin to see miracles when the glory shows up.
-
Remember we heard that pop sound last.
-
You know, boom.
-
People's ears open.
-
Sylvia's hand got healed.
-
Are y'all with me now, having a high priest over the house of God.
-
Let us.
-
You'll see in the next three verses let us, let us, let us Not salad, let us, but let us.
-
That means it's up to us that God is not going to do it.
-
You're gonna have to do it, we.
-
I'll go further.
-
We are going to have to do it.
-
We can either do it or not do it.
-
Let us draw near with a true heart, in full assurance of faith, having our heart sprinkle from a guilty conscience or an evil or a guilty conscience, and our body's washed with pure water, faith in the blood, faith in the blood.
-
When you come to church, come washed, come cleansed, come in faith.
-
Let us draw near.
-
Book of James says draw near to God and he'll draw near to you.
-
It's not the other way around.
-
God is not gonna come.
-
You know running after you.
-
You gotta draw near to him, then he'll draw near to you.
-
And when and when there's a coming together, there's always an impartation, a conception, a supernatural seed is planted in you and all of a sudden you're pregnant with the next thing that God wants to accomplish through you.
-
And when a whole church does that, god is able to bring into the whole church the next thing that needs to be accomplished on the earth, and God is not doing anything on the earth.
-
He's doing it through the church.
-
God's not gonna come down here and heal.
-
Oh God, come, heal our land though.
-
It's not gonna happen, never will.
-
He's not coming again until he comes and gets us out of here, and when he comes after that he's coming to take care of the devil.
-
And then he cries to false promise there ain't no healing of the land.
-
God's not coming to heal the land.
-
You might as well forget about it.
-
Just twiddle your thumbs and whistle tweet.
-
A led as to pray that second Chronicles seven oh God, we humble ourselves in prayer.
-
You'll come and heal.
-
No, he won't.
-
That was through Israel.
-
That was talking about Israel, wasn't talking about America.
-
Anyway, see, there again, people are off base.
-
They're not even praying, right, are y'all with me?
-
Now Let us draw near in true heart, with a true heart washed in the blood, and then 23, let us hold fast our profession of faith without wavering, for he's faithful.
-
Who promised?
-
See, the context is what?
-
Local church?
-
Really, the whole church.
-
I said the whole church.
-
There is a church.
-
There's one church, one body, one head of the church Jesus, who loved the church and gave himself for it, that he might wash it and cleanse it with a washing of water by the word, that he might present it to himself perfect, without blemish and without spot.
-
That's why all my confidence is in Jesus, the head of the church, and in God.
-
I believe he's gonna do a work in the church, the true church, and people who call themselves Christians are gonna just be separated out as tears and God is gonna get a whole new group of people that it gets saved and they're gonna come into the true church and then we'll all go up and there's gonna be a whole lot of people with egg on their face when that happens, because they're gonna be left down here Because they wouldn't wake up.
-
Or are you with me?
-
So I'm doing all I can to wake them up.
-
Wake up Hours late, you've got about that long.
-
You're gonna miss the bus or the train, whichever way they get All right.
-
So let us consider one another, consider one another.
-
Consider one another.
-
Context local church.
-
Let's consider one another.
-
How can you consider one another on the live stream?
-
Now, I know we have some members watching by live stream.
-
I know that others are watching right now by live stream.
-
But I'm just here to challenge you and you know I'm believing with you to get back.
-
You know, get back here.
-
Live stream is good for people that are recovering from major issues.
-
Things happen and we know life happens and you have to stay out of church for a good reason.
-
Steve Hatcher's back with us this morning.
-
We've been praying for him every week, so his goal was to get back here.
-
Frank Haster, frank Trudy and Sharon you know they're out but they watch faithfully, but he's coming back.
-
I mean, he's going through speech therapy and physical therapy with a goal of being able to get his driver's license restrictions removed so he can drive again, so he can drive all away from Stafford to here and come back to church.
-
They have not texted me and say you know, pastor, we just this doing.
-
We just it's been a wonderful ride with you, we're so glad for Glorious Way Church, but we won't be seeing this again.
-
See, they didn't say that.
-
No, they're ready to come back here.
-
If you live in Timbuktu, where there is no church, why don't you move to Houston and be part of Glorious Way Church?
-
I wouldn't stay in a place that didn't have a church like this.
-
How can you, how can you fulfill consider one another.
-
Let us hold fast to the profession of our faith, without waiving.
-
He has promised that, his faithful promise, and let us consider one another.
-
Let us fix our gaze, our eyes and our mind on each other to provoke unto love and to good works, not forsaking the assembling of their selves together, as the manner of some is, especially right now.
-
They got on this live stream kick and now it's so easy for the pastor to have a golf game.
-
Now he doesn't have to show up at church anymore, he can just be any slippers, he can just have, you know, just have a shirt, and usually they don't even wear a tie anymore and they can be, you know, in pajama bottoms and that you know.
-
Just cameras just here, and they can just do a little dido and a little little.
-
And oprahism, a little oprahism is all people need right now.
-
Just a little oprahism, little saying.
-
Forget about the word, forget about the anointing, forget about the Holy Ghost.
-
Just mail your tithe to the PO box.
-
Don't try to get anybody to come see you in the hospital, don't try to, don't try to get a funeral done.
-
Don't try to get a wedding done.
-
We're not in that anymore.
-
This is COVID, don't you understand?
-
We're in a global pandemic.
-
I sound bitter, don't I?
-
I'm not bitter.
-
I'm glad for you, I'm glad, but I want to wake up.
-
Those of you that might be watching even now or maybe later, that have allowed yourself to just drift away from obeying this verse right here, because the assembling of yourselves together is so vital in these last days.
-
It's the strength of the church when we get together.
-
You know we were closed 15 days, god, you know I wasn't going to do that.
-
The Holy Spirit spoke to me and said why don't you pray for President Trump?
-
Why don't you do what he asked?
-
He asked you to suppress the curve, to stop the spread.
-
Give him 15 days.
-
And so when God told me give him 15 days, I knew then that it gave me an out, that after 15 days I could go back and check with him, which I did.
-
And after the 15 days, we were just closed for a few services.
-
I think it was what.
-
Two Sundays, two Sundays, a couple of Wednesdays.
-
It wasn't very long, and we had our first service on back on Palm Sunday a year ago, april the 6th, and some of you came up to me and said oh, pastor, I didn't know how much I missed church, I didn't realize how much church meant to me until I couldn't come and I just I had to laugh.
-
It was funny.
-
But I mean, you know, absence makes the heart grow fonder.
-
That's not in the Bible, but that's kind of a truism.
-
I mean you don't really realize until you can't go to church how much of your life is wrapped up in it.
-
Why is that?
-
Because we are addicted to the ministry of the saints, we want to see each other, we are listen.
-
We got to consider Jesus up there, but we got to consider Jesus horizontally.
-
Oh, come on, let's let's come on now.
-
Let's respond to that.
-
We're here together to provoke each other under love and to good works.
-
I tell you, when we hear everybody's testimony, when we see people responding and people receiving their miracles, and people that are up here weeping for something that's happened to them and they need our agreement, I mean we're provoked into getting in agreement with them and making sure, because when one weeps, we all weep.
-
When one rejoices, we all rejoice.
-
We're one body.
-
Glory to God, hallelujah.
-
They have to attend church.
-
There are, there are stragglers out there.
-
There are people that have become disassociated and, through no real fault of their own, their own church left them.
-
You know who they are?
-
Well, yeah, I've been talking to them, but they're Baptist.
-
We'll bring them anyway.
-
If you bring them, they can't leave.
-
Invite them and bring them, don't just invite.
-
Listen, I go back to when I got saved.
-
I had I got saved on a Friday night.
-
On a Saturday night I went to a full gospel business men's fellowship international meeting, fgbmfi, don't make me say it again.
-
And then the next, the next day, we were invited and I was invited to go to Lakewood church all the way across town.
-
Now, if those people had said, yeah, y'all ought to come sometime, it wouldn't have never happened.
-
There's no way I'd have gotten in my van and drove 30 miles actually 27, to be exact, 27 miles to Lakewood church on the northeast side of town, all the way across town.
-
No way I'd have done it.
-
No, they, well, they didn't take use my van.
-
It was such a band loads my whole family plus them, and we had to have my van.
-
I had a van at the time, so I drove, but they came with us and that's what it took.
-
And when all they had to do was do the introduction a couple of times, and you know what it's.
-
We stuck and the rest is history.
-
And so we have stragglers.
-
My point is, we have stragglers out there that you know of.
-
Maybe they're coworkers, maybe they're neighbors, maybe they're, maybe they even be relatives, they may be friends.
-
Whatever they are, let's grab ahold of them and get them in church and invite them and bring them.
-
Bring them what?
-
What you know?
-
What have you got to lose?
-
Well, you've got nothing to lose and they've got everything to gain.
-
The Holy Ghost can touch them just in a nanosecond and all of a sudden, all of their doctrinal differences and all of the things they've been taught wrong about.
-
One of the common ones is speaking in tongues as of the devil.
-
Well, they'll get over that.
-
It's not like we do the whole service in tongues, but we are spirit filled and every now and then I just lapse over into it.
-
So deal with it.
-
If they leave the, if they leave the building, they can't go anywhere because you brought them.
-
I guess they could go out to the playground and smoke a cigarette, I don't know.
-
Then one of our security people is going to find out what they're doing there.
-
We watch our grounds very closely.
-
Amen.
-
And I notice here not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is, but exhorting one another.
-
How do you do that on live stream?
-
Just a post, just a little comment, exhorting one another and so much more as you see the day approaching.
-
How many of you see the day approaching when Jesus is coming?
-
So let's consider Jesus and everything that we do.
-
Let's be kingdom builders, let's be kingdom minded.
-
Let's get the stragglers in here.
-
This is the best place I know of.
-
I can't recommend other places.
-
Do you know a good church over in the northeast?
-
No, this is it right here.
-
This is the church I know about.
-
Distance doesn't matter to me.
-
I mean we've got people coming from Sealy.
-
We've got people coming from Galveston.
-
I mean, you know, every now and then we have people from Beaumont come.
-
We have people from LaMark League City.
-
I mean we're a regional church.
-
You know, yeah, we've got a neighborhood, you know all of that, but mostly it's all over 10 counties, maybe even 14 counties.
-
It's worth it.
-
I said it's worth it to be in the place where the Holy goes, is able to do what he wants to do.
-
Come on, let's lift our hands right now.
-
Consider Jesus.
-
Let's rise up and consider him in everything we do.
-
Glory to God, hallelujah.
