Respecting The Covenant

Pick your Bibles up and wave them around.

Make Jesus glad and the devil mad.

Say this together, say Heavenly Father, I'm so glad to be here tonight.

I'm encouraged from the Word of God.

It's my food, it's my nourishment and Holy Spirit, you're great in me, you're putting me over in every circumstance and I have the wisdom that comes from God's Word.

In Jesus' name, amen.

Let's look at Hebrews, chapter 11.

Hebrews 11 · chapter mention

And bring you some encouragement from.

We'll start reading with verse Hebrews 11, the Hall of Fame of Faith.

Verse 24, talking about Moses.

By faith, Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter, choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season, estiming the reproach of Christ or for Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt.

For he had respect.

Everybody shout respect.

He had respect unto the recompense of the reward.

By faith, he forsook Egypt not fearing the wrath of the king, for he endured as seeing him who is invisible.

And so tonight I wanted to share a message entitled Respecting the Covenant.

Respecting the Covenant Kind of ties in with the last couple of Sunday mornings I've been talking about.

Consider Jesus, and you know, consider and respect are kind of very similar.

They're different Greek words, they're different, they have different meanings, but the word respect here that is used.

He had respect unto the recompense of the reward for what?

For not following Egypt and following his people, god's chosen people, who had a covenant they're covenant people right.

So he had respect for the covenant.

He had to know the covenant had rewards associated with keeping it.

So he had respect for the covenant and respect.

The word respect means it's a Greek word, apoblipo, and in Thayer's Greek dictionary it says to turn the eyes away from other things and fix them on one thing, very similar to the word consider.

Consider means to fix your eyes or your mind upon something.

So it's very similar.

And this one, it adds another step it you turn away.

It's kind of what Abraham did.

He turned away from the deadness of his body, he turned away from the deadness of Sarah's womb and then just had respect under the promise, social life, seed B.

So it's very similar.

Although the Holy Ghost didn't choose to use the word respect in Romans four, he used it here in Hebrews.

Everybody say respect in the covenant.

I mean what power we have available to us right now?

And it doesn't appear that there's anything we can do, let's tell you we are in covenant with Almighty God.

Let's not forget the covenant that we're I mean, we're in covenant with the one who made everything.

He is in charge, whether it looks like it or not, and for whatever his purposes are, he allows men.

He's not a puppet master.

When people go in the wrong direction, he rarely restrains them.

He'll let them go as far as they can go until they self-destruct.

This group's about to blow up.

I mean, you just go down a whole list of the things that they're putting into motion.

So I just I have to get see.

I'm preaching to myself.

I have to keep up with it.

I don't keep up with it near as I did during the election season, because it just I find that it just overloads me.

So I have to keep.

I have to keep looking for ways to encourage myself in what does the Bible say about everything?

And one of the things that we need to do tonight is just make sure that we're taking our eyes away from all the negative.

We have to still know what's going on.

I'm not saying it'll be like ostrich and hide your head in the sand.

I'm talking about, though.

Let's keep our gaze fixed on the covenant.

Jesus shed his blood once and for all.

You know, I heard Brother Copeland say the other night he was on with he had Brother Mark and Trent of Hankins on.

They were sitting across the table from one another.

I don't know if you've been able to catch any of those episodes, but it's been enjoyable.

I'm glad for Brother Copeland to have this network and I'm glad that he has taken a stand about the evil that's in this country.

I mean he has a lot of programming that is very informative and very.

You know it's on the spiritual side and praise God for that.

You know we are partners with Brother Copeland Amen.

We support his ministry every month.

But he just held that Bible up and I was looking at his Bible.

It got yellow all over it.

I mean I don't know how you even read it.

Everything's underlying the entire page.

There's maybe one or two sentences that aren't underlying.

He's just underlying the whole thing and he held it up.

He said this is the greatest thing that in the history of the world that Jesus did.

The new covenant man.

I mean you know how he talks.

He just gets and he gets so excited.

You know he starts preaching to Mark and Trent and they're just sitting there trying to get a word in his life.

But it's good, it's rich, it's rich Word of faith.

I'm so glad that we're Word of faith.

I'm so glad because the revelation that we have is the only thing that's gonna get us through the next while till Jesus comes.

You got a whole lot of Christians out there saying, well, God is in control.

Well, no, he's not.

The devil has a lease.

God is an overall control, but he is not in any way in control of America.

You've got to be kidding.

See, this is a lie.

This is religious talk, religiosity.

Thank God for the Word of faith, thank God for the revelation, amen.

No, I tell you, the Bible is all we need to know in order to operate the sons of God, and we have a part to play, a very important part to play.

Jesus cannot and will not do anything about what's going on.

I made this point this morning that you're gonna have to help people because they think somehow that if they pray 2 Chronicles 7, 14, enough that God is gonna come down and heal this land.

Well, he's not.

He already sent Jesus to the cross.

We are here, we have authority, and because we didn't have a revelation of that authority and we put it people.

It's like James said we delegated our authority to unreasonable, unrighteous people.

We bought stock in companies who hired CEOs who are pro transgender, pro gay, pro socialist, pro communist.

They're nuts.

We used to call them hippie dope fiends, but that's not even descriptive of what they are.

They're worse than that, worse than that, what, much worse.

They're murderers.

They murder children.

You know, or there's a government I forgot what state it was.

One state passed a law outlawing the chemical and medical procedures for a child to transgender and the governor vetoed it.

I gotta find out who that is so we can cry against that governor.

Arkansas, arkansas, asa Hutchinson, you old reprobate.

In the name of Jesus, I rebuke you, god.

Remove him from his office.

In the name of Jesus, you foul thing, how dare you sin against God's children?

Let's get the millstone.

We need to have a millstone ministry.

Make the millstones for the people Hang around their neck.

That's what Jesus said.

I'm just quoting him.

Yeah, asa Hutchinson Republican, but he's not a bro, he's a liar Scumbag.

Well, anyway, praise the Lord.

Anyway, you know, back in 2004, I heard about Brother Roberts having a visitation.

You've heard me say this and you know, at that time I didn't hear what I had.

I didn't hear anybody talking about waking up the church.

I didn't hear anybody saying that out of our camp Everybody's just preaching what they've always preached.

And here I am have this mandate on me to wake up the church.

It's asleep in his bed with the covers pulled over his head.

When I speak to him they think it's the devil and I, you know.

And then finally, Brother Roberts, who's always had a positive message you know something, god's gonna do something good for you today.

And here he comes up with a very corrective word and I watched him on TBN.

They didn't know how to, you know, interview him because they're not interviewers.

I'd done my share of interviewing and I said let me get to interview him.

I asked him some questions that he needs.

You gotta ask him questions so that he can dig down and remember.

The Holy Ghost can help him extract the visitation.

I've had some visitations and you know you've got to write stuff down.

You've got to get and it takes a skilled Holy Ghost field interviewer that will ask Holy Ghost questions to extract the visitation where you can get the revelation of what God was trying to say and I knew they didn't do it on television.

I was so frustrated and so God opened the door for me to go in a few months and we took a team of 12 people, cameras, two cameras.

I mean we did the whole thing in the DVDs out there.

I listened to it again the other day.

It's like it was made last week.

It's relevant right now and Jesus has been trying to get the attention of the church and the church has ignored.

I talked to all the preachers.

One of them died just the other day.

I saw him at TBN I won't mention his name and I said you know, I went, I talked to brother and he was.

He was acting, I guess, because he wasn't the one that interviewed him.

He didn't care about it.

He didn't care about it.

I said would you like the DVD?

Ah, whatever, I was going to give him the DVD.

I had it in my trunk, I was going to go out and he didn't even want.

He didn't care about it.

He didn't want to know what brother or Roberts had to say to the church pastor of a big church.

He's dead now.

He probably has the idea now that he's died of cancer before his time.

You know there's.

There's a lot of these preachers that that were very prominent about 10 years ago and they're dead now.

They're dead, they're dying young, I could have died, but I'm still here, thank God.

I got to reset.

Praise the Lord, reset by clock, all right.

So he said there's a wasting of power in the church and part of that is the church does not understand its authority and the recompense of the reward.

We have not the respect for the covenant like we should.

And I saw that in brother Copeland.

He has such and and and that he's had it for as long as I've ever listened to him.

I mean he is a word of faith.

And look at at the streams that he came from.

He came from brother Roberts and brother Hagan.

Those were his generals, those were the men that he came up under.

He while he was piloting and brother Roberts, around the the country in a plane.

He was.

He was at brother Hagan's meeting with, with sister Billy and some other people in 1967.

And the word of faith, just that she, he did a, he did some teaching and at that time I mean he was broke, he didn't have any money.

I think they had only been saved a little while in the beginning of his ministry.

And so the, the, the DNA, if you will, of his ministry is solid and strong and we've been doing doing it for all these years.

And so the wasting of power.

And that's because it number one, it's not received, or number two, it's not used or it's misused.

So we have to have respect.

Let's respect the covenant.

Many live way below what the covenant allows, what the covenant, what the rewards.

I mean.

Here's a man, here's Moses, and he had respect for the recompense of the reward of the old covenant and we've got a better covenant than he did, but founded upon better promises.

He gave up being the Pharaoh's daughter, he gave up having a place in the palace, he gave it all up.

He was the, he was the architect, he was the builder of all the cities and he gave all of it up when he found out that he was Jewish, when he found out that the God of Abraham, isaac and Jacob was his covenant partner, he gave everything up.

Glory to God.

That's faith.

Why?

Because he had respect.

He took his eyes off of the glories of Egypt and all the influence and the riches and he set it on firmly on the rewards of the old covenant, which wasn't the old covenant.

Back then it was just the covenant, but now, when Jesus did what he did, he made that old and he made it obsolete.

We have the new one.

Praise God, come on, let's lift our heads, lord.

We thank you.

What a covenant we have.

I'm not a bit intimidated by all these threats.

I think there's a political strategy that I'm hearing more and more.

I saw another on Breitbart.

There was an article.

Some guys were getting together and they were talking about the state's rights.

I mean the red states need to get together and start banding together and agreeing about some of these horrible laws that are coming out and just saying no, just say no.

Listen, what are they gonna do?

I mean we've got to hang together.

Unless we hang, if we don't hang together as the red states, we're gonna hang separately.

They can hang Texas up all by itself, but if everybody would say to the NCAA well, okay, don't come to our state, then See how your football goes without the SEC and the Big 12.

See how good your college program will be this next year and how many viewers you're gonna burn up.

See the head of the NCAA.

They're corrupt.

They need to be shown up for what they are, all these corporations.

They need to be defied, and the states are the only ones who can do it.

The feds are in bed with them.

The feds are all glad that they're supporting their socialist policies, socialist policies.

What's left?

The governors of the red states and the legislatures of the red states have got to band together and start cooperating in legislation to say no, we're not going along with this.

If enough, red states told the NCAA to go find a dark place, well, they would.

They can't, they can't.

They're threatening Texas right now.

If we pass any of these, any transgender bills that limit their rights, just like the one he was talking about, if we do any of that, they're gonna not come to the, they're not gonna have sanctioned the sporting events and, of course, the people that are involved in the colleges and universities are right in line with that.

They're all nuts, but we've got to.

That's why we have to have grownups.

Make the rules, not these fools.

All right, all right.

So everybody say respect in the covenant.

See living below, what Jesus bought and paid for, see, that's Moses.

He tapped into it and so, here in 1127, by faith, he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king.

But he endured his seeing him who is invisible.

So he, he, he's a young man, he's he's.

When this happened, his faith kicked in when he was about 40.

The Bible says in the book of Acts Stephen said that when Moses was about 40 years old it came into his heart to be the deliverer of Egypt.

He had already decided to respect the covenant and when he did, god put it in his heart you're gonna deliver my people.

And so he started and of course we know he got in the flesh and he killed that Egyptian that was mistreating one of the Jews, but, but, but by faith he forsook his status as an Egyptian and he saw him who was invisible.

So his faith saw, his faith saw.

In the verse 26 it says he had respect under the recompense of the reward.

So he turned his eyes away from all of his earthly honor and glory and riches and he turned it on the covenant.

He focused exclusively on the recompense of reward.

And if we're not careful, see a lot of churches.

They focused on the fear of being arrested, thrown in jail for violating the COVID.

Still people think it's some kind of law.

There's no law.

You know what's going on at HEB.

What's going on?

I mean, at HEB, you don't even have to wear a mask.

It's like you tie the dog up and he keeps running at the end of the chain and breaks his neck trying to chase a car down the road.

And after he's heard his neck several times running to the end of that chain, at some point he's going to figure out the radius around that tree, how far he can go, and he's not going to go any further.

You can take the chain off and he won't go any further.

Why?

Because he's been conditioned.

And these poor people have been conditioned to wear a mask, even though they don't have to wear one.

And everywhere else it says you must wear a mask, you are required.

Well then, I require them to do without my business.

That's inconvenient, I don't like it, I don't like taking a stand.

It's not fun, it's not easy, it makes it hard to you know.

But if we don't do that, we're going to just be slaves of all these nut jobs in these large corporations.

Somehow, the Poppus brothers I mean Popocitos, Poppados, they don't make you wear a mask.

Saltgrass doesn't make you wear a mask.

Who else?

I'd like a list of all the restaurants you all eat at, so I can start going Subway.

Okay, I've been in subway in about 15 years.

Maybe I'll go back, since I got a food board, all right, okay, so I'm just joking.

So he focused exclusively in verse 26,.

He embraced suffering for Christ.

That's kind of what we're doing.

We're embracing the suffering of persecuting.

Not suffering, but persecution.

It's what it is.

It's anti-Christian, it's an anti-Christ.

This whole thing is anti Christ.

The target is the church.

That's the target here.

They've got to get rid of the church, as ineffective as it's been.

There's enough of us.

I mean just one glorious way in a whole state of Texas.

All it took, one glorious way, that's all it took.

And the governor went oh, they're right, I can't do that.

Oh, they are essential.

Oh, I can't tell them how to have church.

I can only suggest I'm going to turn all my directives into suggestions.

Oh, just one glorious way.

Church, not first Baptist of Dallas, not first Baptist of Houston or second Baptist of you, big megature.

No, not them.

Glorious way, church that shows you the power of our covenant.

It shows you who's backing us up.

Glory to God, amen.

It's safe to say that Moses is covenant minded.

He looked to the invisible.

God, the covenant maker, the covenant keeper, the performer.

Now let's look at it from God's side.

Let's go back to Exodus, chapter two.

I'll wrap it up.

I won't keep you all night.

We've had a good time tonight, haven't we?

But thank God, we can top it off with a word.

We need the word.

I just I need to preach.

The word Helps me to hear myself preach.

Exodus, chapter two, verse 23.

And it came to pass, in process of time, that the king of Egypt died and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage and they cried.

They sighed and cried and the Pharaoh died.

I could be a song, praise God, be a sad song, alright, and so country song, alright.

So children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage and they cried and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage, and God heard their groaning and God remembered his covenant with Abraham and with Isaac and with Jacob.

And God looked upon the children of Israel and God had respect under them.

God had respect, same Hebrew word, respect.

He had respect under them.

And why, as their covenant See, it mentioned Abraham, isaac and Jacob.

See, that's code for the covenant.

God heard the cry of his covenant partners.

He heard the cry, he saw the bondage and he turned his eyes and focused exclusively on his covenant partners.

He had respect under his partners, his Jewish people.

Glory to God.

That's the God side of that respect.

See, it's one thing for us to have respect for the covenant, but then, when we do, god has respect on his side.

God starts to look down on us and say, well, you know what they're doing, what they can do.

I'm going to help them, I'm going to let the Holy Ghost help them in that direction.

These ungodly leaders are going to have to answer, whether in this life or the next, but they, my, my, my belief is we're going to start seeing some of them drop dead.

We're going to see.

We're going to see some.

We're going to see some open judgments come to pass.

That's a lot of silence.

There's a couple of grunts and three amens, but they wouldn't bother me to see it.

God had respect.

He focused exclusively on the children of Israel.

And so that's when, right in the next chapter, when did he, you know, on the on the flip side now this is 40 years after all, this happened with Moses when he left Israel.

I mean when he left Egypt and said and laid down his, his glory and all that, and then he killed that Egyptian.

Now then, when he went across the backside of the desert, well, you know what?

He really did that?

In fear.

So God turned his eyes away from from that episode.

Because he left in fear and no longer did he have eyes on God as his covenant partner in the reward and all of that.

He was running for his life.

So God had to look away from that.

God, that wasn't pleasing to God, that was not.

That was not faith, faith.

He didn't go.

He didn't leave Egypt and go to Jethro's house in Midian by faith.

He did it in fear.

This is what the Bible says.

Are you with me now?

So it's turned back to Hebrews real quick.

I just saw this.

I just I was meditating on this and I'd never seen it before.

I mean, I thought he left Egypt to go to Midian and I was.

I was counting that as by faith he left.

But that's not.

He didn't leave by faith, he left by fear.

Well, when did he leave it?

When did he leave?

Okay, let's look.

Go back to Hebrews 11, verse 27,.

Hebrews 11:27

By faith, he forsook Egypt.

See when?

When he forsook Egypt, I was thinking, not fearing the wrath of the king, for he endured to seeing humism.

But I believed that he forsook Egypt when he left and went to Midian.

But that's not what that's talking about.

Look in your, if you have a study Bible.

By faith he forsook Egypt.

He forsook Egypt.

Has got the letter L.

When I look at the letter L over there, it says Exodus 10, 28.

So when did he forsake Egypt in Exodus 10, 28?

And this is when he went to Pharaoh.

And Pharaoh said unto him Get thee from me, take heed to thyself, see my face no more.

For in that day that you see my face, you shall die.

And Moses said you shall.

You have spoken well, I will see your face again, no more.

Well, what was that?

He left Egypt at that point.

In other words, that was the point of no return.

After that, the plague of the firstborn came, the plague of the firstborn dying in Egypt.

And so, if you go up a little further, pharaoh called Moses.

Verse 24 said go serve the Lord, go ahead, I'm going to let you go.

Go serve the Lord.

Only let your flocks and herds stay here.

You go and take your children, you can go out there, you can worship God, leave your flocks and your herds here.

I'm going to let you go, get rid of this thick darkness.

We can't stand this darkness anymore.

Just, I'm going to go ahead, I'm going to let you go.

Say that's a big concession for Pharaoh.

And Moses said verse 25, you must give us also sacrifices and burn offerings that we may sacrifice under the Lord, our God.

Verse two in verse 25 it says give us also sacrifices into our hands.

In other words, this is our sacrificial animals.

We're not going to leave our sacrifice that.

We're going to go out in the desert and sacrifice to God.

We can't leave our sacrifice here.

You're going to have to, let us have all of it.

We're not leaving without our animals.

So the Bible says that's when he forsook Pharaoh, by faith.

By faith he, you know he had, he had kept needle in this man who had power of life and death over the whole group, and by faith he forsook him.

Are you with me now?

And so then we go back over here in chapter two, exodus, chapter two.

Y'all forget about Exodus two.

This is the beginning of that whole thing.

So he appeared to him out of the burning bush and his faith started getting restored.

He got a visitation to God.

Why?

Because God had turned his eyes away from the fear he had turned away from his disobedience, his getting in the flesh and killing that Egyptian.

He didn't keep his temper under control.

He had a temper problem, amen.

And he never really.

And it cost him going into the Promised Land.

Eventually it cost him being able to see the promise.

He saw it, but he couldn't go in.

Are y'all with me now?

So God at that point had to turn away, turn away from his shortcomings, turn away from the things he had done wrong, and he had to focus exclusively on his covenant partners for Abraham Isaac and Jacob's sake, the covenant.

And he appeared in the chapter three to Moses and he called him after all that 40 years, even though he had failed.

He called him, he had gifts and callings of God or without repentance.

So my point is, yes, the church has been asleep.

Yes, the church has done a lot of things wrong, because this country is down the tubes a lot because of what the church didn't do.

But God has respect under his covenant.

He has turned in his full attention on the church right now and the church is gonna rise up and be the church and God's not through with the church, we're gonna have revival folks.

That point of this message is well, let's respect the covenant and the recompense of the reward.

And God reciprocated the respect that Abraham, isaac and Jacob always had to the covenant.

Didn't they have respect?

Abraham had respect.

Isaac had respect.

Jacob had respect.

Joseph had respect.

I was reading about Joseph the other day and he warned his descendants.

He said you know I'm gonna die and you're gonna bury me in Egypt, but when you leave you're gonna go back to the promised land.

You make sure you take me with you.

Don't leave me here, Don't you leave my bones in Egypt.

Are you with me now?

He had what Respect?

He had respect under the covenant.

And so God had every reason to reciprocate that respect for the children of Israel, even though they were fearful, even though they had lost a lot of their love for God and hadn't really done exactly right by the covenant.

God just looked away and he reciprocated that respect.

Are you with me now?

Praise God.

So this covenant respect.

When I go back through the 12 spies, two of the spies, joshua and Caleb, they had respect for the covenant.

The 10 didn't have respect.

The 10 won over the children of Israel and they got them to doubt.

You know and you go through the Bible.

You see all these instances where Israel suffered because of a lack of respect.

They would look at the trouble, they would look at the.

They would cry out because they were thirsty.

They would cry out because they didn't have cucumbers, leeks and garlic.

They would cry I mean they had.

They cried out with silly things and God had to continually be reminded by Moses of his covenant with them.

Hallelujah, praise God, respect.

So let's exclusively, let's turn away our eyes from all the wrongdoing and the evil and the garbage.

I don't mean to ignore it.

I mean let's not focus on it, let's be informed, let's pray when we need to pray, pray correctly, the way we need to pray, but let's not get down and let's not get the feeling that we are victims because we're the greater one.

We're in covenant with the greater one.

I'm telling you he's got a plan for this thing and he is going to operate through the church as long as we keep on respecting the covenant.

Come on, lift your hand and receive Praise.

God, did you get anything out of this tonight?
