Hallelujah.
-
Let's pick our Bibles up live stream.
-
Always get your Bibles out, wave them around, make Jesus glad, the devil mad, and let's say this together say heavenly Father, I'm glad to be here today.
-
I do remember.
-
I will never forget the covenant that I have with you through the blood of Jesus.
-
Because of that covenant, I have the Word of God, I have the Holy Ghost, I have the name of Jesus, which is above every name, and I bear that name without embarrassment.
-
The righteous are bold as a lion and I thank you for what you're using me to do in these last days.
-
In Jesus' name, Amen, you can be seated.
-
Turn to your neighbor, say I'm so glad you're here today.
-
Praise God.
-
Turn to the other side Now we get to see you today.
-
I'm glad I'm getting to see you.
-
We did have a great time at the picnic.
-
I know a lot of you didn't come, but we had a bunch of kids there, a bunch of parents there and grand parents.
-
It was fun At Spring Creek Park.
-
It's just beautiful big ol' pavilion.
-
The day was so nice.
-
It was not humid, I was amazing and it was hot outside of the, but we had this big shade, you know pavilion, and it was really nice under there and you just missed being able to eat some really good barbecue.
-
I thought it said to bring your own food.
-
Well, yeah, but you know, guys around here like show off their barbecues.
-
So, micah man, he did a couple of big ol' briskets and Jay did some ribs and Steve did some pork belly bits Pork belly bits.
-
So Don't knock it till you've tried it.
-
Pork belly oh, I didn't need to bring any food.
-
I ate theirs anyway.
-
All right, let's turn in our, let's get off the food business.
-
Let's break for lunch.
-
I'm hungry already.
-
It's 10.45.
-
All right.
-
Romans, chapter 10, please, amen.
Romans 10 chapter mention
-
Romans, chapter 10, verse eight, for what sayeth it?
Romans 10 chapter mention
-
The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth and in thy heart.
-
That is the word of faith which we preach.
-
Paul was a word of faith preacher.
-
This is a word of faith and Holy Spirit Church, and a lot of people don't.
-
Well, what word of faith?
-
Well, I'm gonna talk about it today, specifically how important the word of faith which Paul preached and which the apostles preached, the word of faith, and here it is, verse nine, that if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, in other words, confess with your mouth that Jesus is your personal Lord and shall believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you shall be saved.
-
For with the heart men believe it unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
-
And so today I wanted to preach just a simple message, because we've got the children in here I don't wanna take all day.
-
I'm gonna get back into this tonight on a little bit more full basis, so I invite you back.
-
How many of you knew that we had church on Sunday night?
-
I mean, we have amen 630.
-
But I'm gonna share a message entitled the Faith Road.
-
The Faith Road what in the world?
-
Well, I like what Smith Wigglesworth said, who was known as the apostle of faith, had 19 people raised from the dead in his ministry.
-
So I give a lot of credence to him.
-
I mean, he knew something about faith and he said that confession builds the road over which faith carries its mighty cargo.
-
Hence faith road.
-
Confession builds the road over which faith carries its mighty cargo.
-
So here in Romans, chapter 10, it talks about confession, where the heart man believes under righteousness and with a mouth confession is made unto.
Romans 10 chapter mention
-
So the premise of the word of faith, the way the word of faith works is believing in your heart and speaking, or confessing with your mouth what you believe in your heart.
-
And what do you believe in your heart?
-
The word, the word, yes, yes, yes.
-
So you must believe and you must speak.
-
And when you speak, confession is made unto whatever it is that you're believing, for Might be to go to heaven.
-
People confess Jesus as Lord.
-
Years ago I confessed him as my Lord and Savior and I've never doubted a moment since that I'm headed to heaven when I die.
-
Yes, yes, yes.
-
Why?
-
Because I believe what he said.
-
But there's a lot of other things Our covenant's got.
-
It covers the word salvation, talks about deliverance, protection, safety, health, soundness.
-
There's all kinds of things that we can confess unto their occurrence.
-
So when you make a good confession, you're building a road and over that road is coming a conestoga wagon, an 18-wheeler, double high, with all the load of blessings towards you that you are believing in your heart and saying with your mouth, or coming your way, amen.
-
But then on the other side of the coin is a bad confession.
-
The word confession means literally to agree with the covenant.
-
You know, when you cut the covenant between two parties and Bible days, I mean they had to get on the same page.
-
I mean, I'm cut the covenant with Toby.
-
Toby's a good scrapper, he's a good fighter, and I'm more of a guy that grows plants and grow crops, and so he needs my food, I need his protection.
-
So, but we got to get on the same page.
-
I mean, if he's gonna protect me, I want him to say you know what?
-
I'm gonna lay down my life and nobody's gonna come in your field and steal your food and they're not gonna touch your life, they're not gonna kill you, and I'm gonna listen to him with both ears.
-
Well, why are you gonna do that, toby?
-
He said because you're gonna give me enough food for my family to eat, and he's got a big family, so I gotta grow a lot.
-
I'm gonna have to take over some more fields and grow some more food for just him and his family to pay him for protecting me.
-
Right, we gotta get on the same page.
-
If he's talking about, well, I'm gonna take off on Friday, saturday and Sunday and I'm not gonna be watching him, because he's been giving me way too many cucumbers and I don't really like cucumbers, I'd rather have garlic and leeks and whatever else.
-
I'd rather have fajitas, pork belly bites.
-
No, they're probably Jewish.
-
They don't eat pork.
-
I'm so glad I'm not having to obey the dietary laws.
-
I like shrimp, I like lobster, I like pork.
-
Pork fat rules really, baby pork fat.
-
I mean, what good are biscuits without lard?
-
You know you gotta have lard in biscuits.
-
All right, enough of that.
-
I'm getting hungry again, woo.
-
So what kind of road are you building with your confession?
-
The confession, it's the Greek word homilagayo.
-
It means to say the same thing.
-
As what same thing?
-
Well, god said something.
-
You're supposed to say it.
-
He said all these words for you to say by stripes you were healed.
-
Jesus is Lord.
-
It's all these wonderful sayings that he told you to say, and so we're to say them.
-
If we say something else, what are we doing?
-
Well, we're building a road that's gonna have potholes, washouts, quicksand.
-
It's gonna interrupt our cargo.
-
I mean, here comes our cargo.
-
It's trying to go down that road that we built with our words, and we didn't do a very good job of building the road.
-
I've watched a few roads being built.
-
I mean, I'll tell you what.
-
It's not easy to build a super highway.
-
I was watching Discovery Channel.
-
You ever see the one where they fly over certain states.
-
You know they fly over, you know, the East Coast and they talk about the history you know and all that.
-
The other day they were flying over old Route 66.
-
Part of Route 66 is still existing.
-
It's a little old two lane pig trail.
-
I mean it's hard to believe that it goes all the way from St Louis to LA.
-
That was Route 66.
-
And so our long route 66 was a sign of a wonder.
-
I mean, it's the only road You're going from the Midwest all the way to LA.
-
And so people traveled.
-
And so what happened?
-
Well, people realized there's people on the road, so they built diners and they built, you know, all kind of gas stations and groceries and tourist traps.
-
Anybody remember tourist courts?
-
Does anybody remember the TP?
-
The TP in Wharton, I'd see.
-
When I was a kid we drove right through, right by the TP's on our way from the fury over Houston.
-
We'd go about every other month to visit my sister and all that kind of stuff.
-
Some of you looking at me like what in the world are you talking about?
-
You ought to go see it.
-
It's still there TP.
-
It was a little motel shaped in the shape of a TP.
-
It's not politically correct, but anyway.
-
So 66,.
-
What happened?
-
Well, the interstate highway rendered it obsolete, but it's still there because somebody knew something about building a road to last.
-
And what do they have to do?
-
Well, they've got to go down and they've got to make a road bed.
-
I mean, they've got to go down and they've got to build a road bed.
-
Way down, deep, five, six foot deep, they start putting in stabilized sand and then they tamp it down to a certain density and they have to do the lifts they call it lifts six inches of time all the way up, and then they put in all this other material Before they ever pour concrete or asphalt or anything on top.
-
They've already prepared that road bed and they spent billions of dollars.
-
Because if they don't, what happens in just a short time?
-
Whatever they put on the top of that's gonna crack and it's gonna have potholes in it.
-
Those 18 winners are gonna have flat tires and they're gonna have ruined vehicles and then the nation's cargo is gonna get delayed.
-
Some of your cargo been delayed because you took some shortcuts or because you spoke right for a while and started speaking something else.
-
Are y'all with me now?
-
Tonight I'm gonna talk about some Bible characters that kind of just never got on the same page as their confession and why certain things took a long time to come to pass.
-
But if they had had this kind of teaching, if they had known what kind of God that they were serving.
-
See, god does the same thing.
-
He speaks and it's done.
-
And we're made in the God class of being and we're created to create with words.
-
What are you creating?
-
That's my question for you.
-
What are you creating with your words?
-
Well, I don't know if I could just ever get man.
-
Things are so messed up in my life.
-
Really, whatever you've got is a creation of what you've already spoken about.
-
That's mean.
-
Well, I don't mean to be mean, I just wanna wake you up because you're in charge.
-
God can't do anything beside.
-
I mean you start saying the wrong thing.
-
God doesn't have any choice, except the angels just fold their wings, stand back.
-
You haven't given them anything to do.
-
They can't agree with what you're saying.
-
I'm so sick.
-
I'm so sick and tired of being sick and tired.
-
See, that's not a confession that ever ought to come out of your mouth.
-
You can't say that.
-
What do you say?
-
I'm well, praise God, all right.
-
So we want potholes, washouts and quicksand.
-
No, we want wide, straight, strong, smooth, able to bear much weight.
-
Confession with the mouth, faith in the heart.
-
So where does our faith come from?
-
Well, romans 10, 17 faith coming by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.
-
Hearing the Word of God brings faith and really hearing the Word of God out of your mouth yeah, you get some faith out of my mouth.
-
You hear me speak.
-
Yeah, it'll help you.
-
I had some precious folks come up to me and they've been coming just a short time, but they just love it here.
-
One lady came up.
-
She started coming in December and here it is May and she said my son and I, we just love it here.
-
Your series on prayers changed my life.
-
That's what we're in business to do.
-
We're in business to change life.
-
We're in business to preach the Word of faith.
-
You grab ahold of it and put it to work.
-
I'm telling you right.
-
Your life will change for the good.
-
You start building some heavy duty highways and that cargo will not get stuck on the side of the road.
-
It will not be upended.
-
Laying all out, raise God.
-
So what we believe is dependent on what we've heard of the good news.
-
A lot of folks have never heard the gospel to the poor.
-
Jesus.
-
That was the first on his list, luke 4, 18.
-
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because he's an ornamented priest.
-
The gospel to the poor, first on the list.
-
First on the list, jesus, jesus.
-
Do you think it was?
-
Let me ask you, do you think it was just random that he's spoken just a random tone and he just kind of started with that because it just kind of like a you know Kind of the bird of paradise flew up his nose and he just, you know, no, I mean he.
-
There was something about the gospel to the poor being the top of the list.
-
Why?
-
Because Israel was poor, israel was broke and they had a covenant with God and it didn't matter and they were cursed.
-
So the first thing he had to do was get them good news.
-
Gospel means good news to the poor.
-
Good news to the poor.
-
Glory to God.
-
I Went out to see oral Roberts one time, interviewed him in his home in In 2005, got this DVD out there at the media center.
-
If you've never watched it, you ought to pick up a copy and watch it, because it's his.
-
It's his current right now as it was 16 years ago.
-
It's hard to believe it's 16 years, oh, except when you look at my face and my, you know I look a lot younger.
-
But anyway, that's because I was a lot younger.
-
But you know what he told me?
-
He said the gospel to the poor is the guts of the gospel.
-
Now, I heard him say it but I didn't understand it.
-
I Didn't disagree.
-
I would never disagree with a man like that.
-
I Think about the people that I've been honored to get to relate personally to, to get to sit with and interview and talk to.
-
I think about these men and women that are giants, upon whose shoulders we stand right now.
-
Or Roberts is certainly one of those.
-
Tl Osborne, another one of those.
-
John Osteen's, another one of those.
-
Oh, normal haze brother, normal Brother Shambo.
-
I mean, I think about how in the world did I get to a place where I could sit with somebody like that and actually talk to them, have a conversation with them and relate to them?
-
It's amazing.
-
You better learn something when you ran somebody like that.
-
So he said it, and I mean when he said it's a guts, the gospel, I didn't doubt him, I just didn't understand it.
-
I had to go back home.
-
I got back home I said, okay, god.
-
Now he said it was a guts gospel.
-
And I think, and what is a gut?
-
What's guts mean?
-
Well, it means it's the center.
-
It means, you know, it's the, it's the core.
-
It's the core.
-
Without the gospel to the poor, no preacher can be sent.
-
How will they hear without a preacher and how can they go unless they be sent?
-
I'm telling you it the church has got to be rich, the church has got to have money to reap the end time harvest.
-
It's the guts of the gospel.
-
What gospel if we got to preach, if we can't get there to preach it?
-
Glory to God.
-
Yeah, I got on the same page with him.
-
I started thank God, I got him.
-
My poor days are no more and I've been poor, I've been rich, and rich is better.
-
Rich has abundant supply.
-
Glory to God.
-
And so once you believe it, then you've got to give voice to it.
-
We're gonna talk about some of those tonight where they didn't give voice to it.
-
I think it'll help you, but I'm gonna keep it short for the kids sake this morning.
-
And so when we give voice to what we believe, what happens.
-
We start building faith Memorial Freeway.
-
I Mean we're building a double decker.
-
We're building, we're building one of those double decker.
-
That's what they were planning on doing.
-
You know Around, and now the activists have tried to shut it down.
-
The Democrats don't want to reward Houston.
-
Have you noticed?
-
Houston doesn't get any Harvey money.
-
Houston doesn't get a new Freeway that we desperately.
-
Have you been on a pierce elevated lately.
-
It's so fun.
-
It doesn't matter what time of the day or night, it doesn't matter.
-
It's stacked up and you're gonna wait.
-
And how?
-
What is that doing to it, to the environment?
-
What about the people that live below it?
-
What is it doing for them, with all that exhaust fumes going off right there in their neighborhood?
-
Wouldn't you want the people to move through there a little faster?
-
Do you ever drive on the freeway?
-
Oh no, they.
-
They take the bus.
-
Well, the bus is on the freeway.
-
It has to wait.
-
It's so silly anyway.
-
All right, five confessions to build faith Memorial Freeway.
-
Five simple things that we need to say on a constant basis.
-
This is when I heard these things 40 years ago.
-
It changed my life, it started.
-
It started my life down a Different way.
-
I started building my road and God started getting the deliveries.
-
I Ordered something the other day and it came the same day.
-
I don't know how they do it, but I mean I Ordered it in the morning.
-
In the afternoon there was on my front doorstep.
-
I mean it's pretty amazing, it's gonna, it's gonna be hard to get rid of Amazon Prime, but at some point I'm gonna get rid of it Because I don't like what they're doing.
-
But that's the whole thing.
-
Say they want to, they want to seduce you into convenience until you'll just put up with anything.
-
But I'm not gonna put up with just anything, all right.
-
So the first one Jesus is Lord.
-
They had says right here Romans 10, 9, that if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, jesus is Lord, you ought to confess that with your mouth.
-
Every day I, I call him Lord.
-
Every day I say Lord Jesus, your, my Lord Jesus, your, my Lord Jesus, your Lord over Houston.
-
Jesus, your Lord over Texas.
-
Jesus, your Lord over America.
-
Now that I'm on Facebook, we up to 5200 followers now On my Facebook page.
-
You've had been to my Facebook page.
-
You might ought to visit it Facebook slash, pastor John Griner and like it.
-
I Mean it's been, you know, ups, it's just a few months and it's kind of going to town and I just say that that the the utterance that I have from the office I stand in is like a heat-seeking missile and it is finding ears that have ears to hear what I'm saying, because I'm saying something's real important right now.
-
Thought because of me, it's because of God.
-
I'm just.
-
I'm just, you know, praise God.
-
It's just going out there and people just are responding.
-
It's amazing, one post to be on there and just, you know, you got 500 amens and and some people go ahead a little, you know, add a little paragraph or something and you know, every now and then you got a Religious one on there that doesn't have a clue, you know, and I have to just shut my mouth because it's.
-
I don't want to get into an argument with somebody, but it shows me how pitiful, wherever they're at, they're not listening to anything that's helping them.
-
They're religious.
-
Are you with me now?
-
Jesus is Lord, he's Lord of all.
-
Amen.
-
Jesus is Lord.
-
Oh, yeah, I hear people do this.
-
Oh, god is in control.
-
That's his favorite mantra.
-
Oh God is in control.
-
Well, you know, if he's in control, he sure making a big mess of everything.
-
No, he's not in control.
-
Stupid, oh, I shouldn't have said stupid in front of all the children.
-
Sorry, cut ahead of the eight anyways.
-
No, we're in control.
-
He delegated his authority.
-
Whatever we bind or allow or permit is permitted.
-
Whatever we forbid, whatever we you know what are we loose?
-
We permit, it's us that's in control and we haven't done a very good job of controlling anything.
-
God is not gonna heal our land, so that prayer is vain.
-
It's not being answered.
-
When are you gonna get it?
-
This is New Testament praying, not Old Testament.
-
That was for Israel.
-
Second Chronicles 7 14.
-
If my people call by my name, humble themselves and pray out of that, well, that's, that's for Israel, when they were worshiping idols.
-
It has nothing to do with America.
-
America, the church, has to rise up in and begin to speak against what we're seeing.
-
Cry against it like Jonah.
-
God told Jonah, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it.
-
It's wickedness has come up for me.
-
So we can cry against Joe Biden's policies.
-
We can cry against come on, harris, you made a joke.
-
Yeah, I don't know why the?
-
Where was the Air Force Academy?
-
Somebody, one of the military, had her speak.
-
I don't know what in the world.
-
Well, you want that woman to speak to you.
-
For are you out of your mind?
-
She's not for you.
-
She made some kind of a joke.
-
They didn't laugh.
-
Well, you know why is there's nothing she's got to say to you.
-
That's for you.
-
I mean, you're you're.
-
You're potentially gonna go off and risk your life for your nation.
-
You're gonna have her tell you anything.
-
Well, we can cry against this indoctrination of critical race theory.
-
Amen.
-
Black Lives Matter.
-
You know, the second in command resigned because she got tired of the heat.
-
She had four million dollar houses she bought with all of her money that corporations have given.
-
Black lives matter, which is a Marxist organization, has nothing to do with civil rights.
-
They don't love black people, they're not for black people.
-
Black neighborhoods and black businesses have been irreparably harmed because of black lives matter.
-
No, not to them.
-
It doesn't matter to them.
-
Communist lives matter is what they ought to be Red China lives matter.
-
Have you noticed all this?
-
You know, here the devil has come against Christians.
-
200 and some odd Christians were slaughtered in Nigeria.
-
I mean, the Muslims in Nigeria are going crazy and the Nigerian government doing nothing, doing nothing.
-
They're kind of like our government.
-
They do nothing.
-
So where are the attacks happening?
-
The attacks are against Jews and Christians worldwide unprecedented.
-
And what are we talking about?
-
The poor Asians?
-
Oh, they hate Asian hate.
-
I want to march against Asian.
-
What Asian hate?
-
It's the liberal colleges that hate Asians.
-
They won't let them go into Harvard, they won't let them go into Princeton.
-
They're the haters.
-
We're not haters.
-
There's no Asian hate in this country.
-
It's anti-Semitism, it's anti-Christian.
-
That's the hate.
-
See, they just they come over here and they reinvent some kind of false narrative and get everybody out there marching against something that doesn't even exist.
-
Well, we're not going to march against it, we're going to speak against it, we're going to cry against it.
-
Jesus is Lord.
-
Praise God, thank you, brother Hagin's cousin.
-
He had a brother and sister that were his cousins and I think they were his mother's sister's kids.
-
And the brother called his aunt, who was brother to Hagin's mother, and said oh, please have brother Ken pray.
-
My sister's in a hospital.
-
She's not expected to live, she could be dead.
-
We've got to have prayer.
-
So she said well, just hold on there, I'll call him right now and I'll call you back.
-
So she calls her son, brother Hagin, and said your cousin so-and-so.
-
She's in the hospital.
-
Your other cousin called her brother and she's in bad shape.
-
He said tell him that his sister will live and not die.
-
That's what he just said, that he didn't pray, he didn't do anything.
-
Well, my cousin, that his sister will live and not die.
-
Oh, son, I'm so happy God gave you a word.
-
Oh, isn't that wonderful.
-
God gave you a word for him.
-
Oh, that's so wonderful.
-
He said yeah, mother, he gave me a word.
-
He gave me Mark 11, 23.
-
And she said oh, oh, son.
-
I mean he called him son.
-
That's, my mother always called me son.
-
I don't know why he couldn't call me John.
-
Anyway, he called me son all day.
-
Son, do you think that'll work?
-
That's the wrong thing to ask brother Hagin about Mark 11, 23, even if you're his mother.
-
Okay, I mean, will it work?
-
Will it work?
-
Well, of course it will work, does it?
-
Does a multiplication table work?
-
Yes, it works.
-
And then he goes on to say and I don't know what else he told his mother, but I'm sure he was in trouble.
-
He probably had to send her some flowers after that conversation.
-
But he said that's the trouble with people is that they put more confidence in some gift of the spirit, some revelation, than they do in the word itself.
-
I mean, the multiplication table works.
-
12 times 12 is 144, nine times nine is 81.
-
And I learned that when I was a little kid.
-
I took these little cards home and I learned the multiplication tables and I've used them all my life and it works.
-
I don't even think about it.
-
The new math tells you you've got to prove that.
-
What would I want to prove it?
-
I just use it.
-
Using it proves it.
-
Prove why it's so.
-
No, I'm not going to prove why it's so.
-
It's so.
-
Mark 11, 23 worked.
-
We believe in our heart and speak with our mouth.
-
She'll live and not die.
-
And she did live and she did not die.
-
Now you know, brother Hayden goes on to say that sometimes you can use your faith for your relatives.
-
One time like that, the next time they call you, then you're going to have to at least get them to agree with you.
-
But you, at some point in time, they've got to.
-
When God does stuff for people, he expects them to believe him for themselves.
-
But the word of faith see, that's the word of everybody.
-
Say the word of faith.
-
Jesus is Lord.
-
Who is Jesus?
-
He's the Word.
-
So the Word is Lord.
-
I said the Word is Lord.
-
The Word is Lord.
-
The Word concerning your situation is the master of that situation.
-
When you what?
-
Believe it and speak it All right.
-
Number two here's a confession you ought to always make I don't have a single care.
-
Be careful now.
-
No, thank you.
-
Let me think about these little phrases that people say all the time Be safe, no, thanks, I'm already safe.
-
Be careful, no, be full of care.
-
No, I'm not full of care, I'm not careful.
-
I don't care about anything.
-
Why?
-
Because God cares about me, see 1 Peter 5,.
-
Let's look at it 1 Peter 5, 7, casting all your care upon him, for he cares for you.
-
You do that one time in your life.
-
You don't do it every day.
-
Lord, I just cast off.
-
What did you do with it yesterday?
-
No, you cast all of your care.
-
So, basically, you're telling God I refuse to worry or fret about anything.
-
I like what the message says Don't worry about anything, pray about everything.
-
You got something that's looming in your.
-
Start praying about it and then start praising about it.
-
Glory to God, hallelujah.
-
And then you go to sleep at night.
-
Your faith is working on it.
-
You've already spoken the end from the beginning and you just don't.
-
You don't dare worry.
-
Why?
-
Because worry is a sin.
-
I said worry is a sin.
-
I said worry is a sin.
-
That which is not a faith is sin.
-
What is worry is believe in what the devil said over what God said.
-
Are you with me now so that I don't have a single care?
-
I don't care, I'm careful for nothing.
-
I'm careful for nothing, but in everything my prayer, supplication, with thanksgiving, I'll let my request be made known unto God and the peace of God, which passes all understanding, comes and down and it keeps and mounts guard over my heart and life.
-
Through Christ Jesus, that means I have a good night's sleep, no matter what.
-
The IRS is having a problem over.
-
Amen, anybody getting anything out of this?
-
These are just five confessions that I.
-
They're basic, but we sometimes we need the basics because our road has developed potholes.
-
Could be that your foundation washed out.
-
Could be that you've got some things in there that you need to shore up.
-
I know one thing when they start patching on an interstate highway, it doesn't do one bit of good to go over there and fill the crack.
-
They got a chip, all of that out.
-
They got to dig it all out.
-
It takes weeks and then you get.
-
If you're going down I-10 and they're messing with the freeway with it, then you get to take a long time to go to San Antonio.
-
You just never know how long it's going to take for you to go to San Antonio when you leave Houston.
-
You might.
-
It might take you all day or it might take you three hours.
-
Depends on whether they're decided to fix the cracks, because if they're going to fix the cracks, whether they got a chip all out out, they got to dig down about six feet.
-
They got to redo all of that, put it all back in.
-
Oh man, it takes a long time, especially at the speed that they're working.
-
Okay, all right, get off of that.
-
All right here.
-
Number three how many of you know 23rd song the Lord is my shepherd.
-
It says I shall not want.
-
So I put it this way the Lord is my shepherd.
-
I do not want.
-
I don't want for anything.
-
Everything that I want is satisfied.
-
Everything I want, not just everything, I need everything.
-
I want.
-
Why?
-
Because my wants are governed by the Holy Ghost.
-
My wants are governed by the Word of God, I've got things.
-
It's not necessarily that I have to have, but you know, when God tells me I can have something.
-
Remember my Corvette story.
-
See, God told me I could have a Corvette.
-
I got me one, and I didn't just get an average.
-
When I got the best one, they made the Z06.
-
With every conceivable option for 2008.
-
I didn't mess around.
-
Well, I better just back off.
-
Maybe I better get the one with a vinyl.
-
And no, mine had leather interior.
-
Are y'all with me now?
-
The Lord is my shepherd.
-
I do not want.
-
He leads me in the right ways.
-
Now what he says.
-
He leads me.
-
How many of the Holy Ghosts lead you into disaster?
-
Lead you off the side of the cliff?
-
Here, let me lead you down the side of the cliff.
-
Whoo, no, he leads you Beside the steel waters.
-
He maketh me to lie down in green pasture.
-
That's what I like.
-
I like reclining.
-
All my needs are supplied.
-
All my wants are supplied.
-
Are y'all with me?
-
Y'all are.
-
Just take the Word of God and own it.
-
It's yours every day.
-
Build your highway.
-
Here's a good one.
-
Let's go to Isaiah 53.
-
This is talking about Jesus.
-
This is the cornerstone of evangelicals.
-
Why they don't believe it.
-
I don't know.
-
They don't believe it all.
-
They tore certain words out Isaiah 53, verse three he is despised and rejected of men.
-
Isaiah is talking about Jesus now, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief, and we hid, as it were, our faces from him.
-
He was despised and we esteemed him not.
-
It wasn't that true.
-
That's exactly what happened.
-
And surely, not, surely, surely, he hath borne our griefs and carried our sorrows, yet we esteemed him, stricken, smitten of God and afflicted.
-
We wanted blood, we wanted to smite him, crucify him, but he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities.
-
The chastisement of our pieces upon him and with his stripes we are healed.
-
Yeah, if you believe the first part and you're born again, why don't you believe?
-
By stripes you were healed and they don't, but we do.
-
That's what a full gospel church is.
-
A full gospel church believes that Jesus took everything.
-
He didn't just take our sin.
-
He took our sicknesses, he took our griefs and our sorrows, took our griefs and our sorrows.
-
So you just say this every day every sin, sickness, sorrow and lack was laid on Jesus.
-
Therefore, I'm free.
-
If he took it, I'm free.
-
He took it away from me, he bore it away from me and now I don't have it.
-
I'm not carrying sorrow, I'm not carrying poverty, I'm not carrying sin, I'm not carrying sickness.
-
It doesn't belong to me.
-
He took it.
-
What if you take something that doesn't belong to you?
-
Isn't that wrong?
-
Well, if you take sickness and receive it, you're taking something that doesn't belong to you.
-
Who does it belong to?
-
It belongs to the devil.
-
Let him have it.
-
Amen.
-
Just refuse it, absolute refuse it.
-
Every sin, sickness, sorrow and lack was laid on Jesus.
-
Therefore, I'm free.
-
Everybody say I am free.
-
All right, this last one.
-
I'll end up with this one.
-
First, corinthians, chapter one, verse 30.
-
But of him are ye, in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom and righteousness, and sanctification and redemption.
-
So, since we are in Christ Jesus, christ is made unto us.
-
He is our wisdom, he's our righteousness, he's our sanctification, he's our redemption.
-
He is that to us.
-
I confess that almost every day it's mine.
-
I mean you don't have to go into 100 verses.
-
This verse is so powerful.
-
Jesus is my wisdom.
-
Who is Jesus?
-
Well, he's the Word.
-
So wisdom is right here in the Word for me to find.
-
It's not hidden from me.
-
It's hidden.
-
For me, if I need wisdom about a situation, I need to get in my prayer closet and pray.
-
I need to read my Bible and at some point in time I'm going with the wisdom of God to know how to attack the situation properly.
-
We talked about that in prayer.
-
Instead of just going off half-cocked and going off like a chicken with your head cut off and quote, quote, quote a bunch of verses and pray, pray, pray a bunch of your mind, let's wait and pray in the Holy Ghost and read our Bible and get God's wisdom about the situation, because the Word is your wisdom, it's your righteousness, your right, standing with God.
-
I mean, don't let yourself feel guilty.
-
I mean, whatever your guilt, your feeling, confess it as sin, get it under the blood and get rid of guilt will kill you.
-
Shame I don't know how many Christians come to church and they're ashamed.
-
They have shame.
-
Get rid of it.
-
It will kill you.
-
It will end your life prematurely.
-
Jesus took it.
-
He took sorrow and grief.
-
But you don't understand the love of my life.
-
She went to heaven.
-
You know we have mothers and wives and husbands that go to heaven and sometimes we don't have all the answers why they left as soon as they did.
-
We had two that went to heaven this week.
-
I don't have any answers, but you know what I do have.
-
I know where they're at.
-
So on my side I'm a little sad that they're not here.
-
Rudy was right up there last Sunday.
-
I looked up there and saw him, and now he's up there.
-
What did you leave for?
-
But he did.
-
I'll find out one day, and then I won't even care.
-
We'll be too happy.
-
We'll be too happy to even care why he left.
-
Hey, marilyn Ruiz, I mean, she was right out there greeting, shake in your hand, big smile on her face, sweet heart.
-
Left here on Sunday, died Sunday afternoon, went to heaven.
-
Well, you know what?
-
Two of my members.
-
I said Lord, we had a big altar call, we need laborers in the harvest and now two of my laborers went to heaven.
-
I got to heaven.
-
You know that's what I did.
-
I told him I'm feeling sorry for myself but I had to get out of that.
-
Why?
-
Because I know I'm selfish.
-
I know what they're experiencing.
-
I know they're walking on the streets of gold.
-
Breonna lost her brother earlier.
-
I guess it was last year now, wasn't it?
-
And I mean you know she's got a smile on her face.
-
Why, you know, she looked like a neon sign every time she comes to church, you know.
-
And we could go around the room.
-
We have Raul.
-
I mean, you know, yolanda went to heaven.
-
I mean, gosh, that's hard to take.
-
It's hard to take in one way, but yet, on the other side, what do we do?
-
How do we deal with it?
-
Well, we know where she is, we know she's walking the streets of gold.
-
She's in glory, god, it's not going to be long before we're all up there.
-
See, that's the sorrow that Jesus took.
-
We don't have to go around like this, we don't have to be just emptied out of grief.
-
We actually laugh, we can actually be happy, we can actually have joy.
-
Praise God, hallelujah.
-
We believe in our hearts and we confess with our mouth.
-
Unto until our faith builds memorial freeway and God starts letting our faith bring us those blessings.
-
Come on, lift your hands and receive the faith road.
-
The faith road.
-
Praise God, hallelujah, the faith road.
-
Now, tonight we're going to get into some specifics about some good Bible examples.
-
First Corinthians said all these things are written for admonition upon whom the ends of the age have come.
-
And the Old Testament we're going to read about, even some of the ones that are in the Hall of Fame and Faith in Hebrews 11, some of the ways that they didn't confess quick enough and it took a long, long time for the blessing to get there.
-
We'll talk about some of that tonight.
-
Okay, come on, let's just lift our hands.
-
Father, we thank you for the Word of God.
-
We thank you for the Word of faith.
-
Hallelujah, this Word that we hear.
-
Glory to God.
-
It's transforming our lives.
-
It's causing us to give glory to the one who paid the ultimate price for us to have what we belongs to us, in Jesus' name, peeking into collaborative presenting.
