  1. Praise God, wave those Bibles around, make Jesus glad Father.

  2. We, this all said together, say, heavenly Father, I'm glad to be here tonight.

  3. I tell you, I remember your faithfulness to me.

  4. I don't forget what you've done for me and your Word abides in my heart and I'm abiding in you, and so I can make demands on our covenant.

  5. I can write a faith check and you will cash it.

  6. You're standing behind me in all that I do, because I'm with you in Jesus' name, amen.

  7. Let's turn our Bibles to Proverbs 18.

  8. And I want to continue along the lines, similarly to what I began this morning the faith road and if you weren't here, we just talked about.

  9. Smith Wigglesworth once said that confession builds the road over which faith carries its mighty cargo.

  10. So when we speak, the word confess means to say the same thing as or to, you know, to speak in line with the covenant that we have.

  11. So when we speak in line with God's Word, we speak His Word and believe it in our hearts, speak it with our mouth.

  12. We're building a road, and so you know, we don't want our road to have potholes, washouts and quicksad.

  13. Amen.

  14. That's what happens when we get our words fouled up and we quit holding fast to our confession or our profession.

  15. And this, doing this for 40 years, is not that hard to let slip your confession.

  16. It's easy, I said it's easy to let your confession slip.

  17. And you know just a little.

  18. Just a little, you know a little.

  19. 11, 11's the whole love.

  20. Just a few little words spoken, you know wrong, it can cause a problem.

  21. It can, it can waylay your cargo.

  22. You've got cargo, your faith is called in and it gets run off the road because the road is washed out because of your confession.

  23. And so tonight I want to talk about the power of the tongue.

  24. So Proverbs 1821, it just fits right in with what we talked about this morning Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

  25. And I like the message Bible Words kill, words give life.

  26. They are either poison or fruit you choose.

  27. Words kill, words give life.

  28. They are either poison or fruit you choose.

  29. Now, I don't think it's an accident that the left in this country and really all over the world it's a global movement but they appropriated it.

  30. But they appropriate language and turn it into, they give it different definitions.

  31. They're taking the common English language and all languages, and they're just changing the definitions of words to suit their ideology, gender, all that stuff, all of it.

  32. It's just you name it.

  33. What's good is evil and evil is good.

  34. It's the bottom line.

  35. So the power.

  36. See, the enemy knows the power of words.

  37. If he can get people to speak wrong, he can conquer.

  38. And so it's up to us to hold fast our profession of faith without wavering.

  39. And so your tongue has power, the power of life.

  40. It says death and life are in the power of the tongue.

  41. Notice, it didn't say the power of life and death, it said the power of the tongue, the power.

  42. Everybody say the power of the tongue.

  43. Okay, so the word power there in the Hebrew is the word Yod, hebrew word Yod, and it means an open hand.

  44. So you know your words are an open hand to receive either death or life, good or bad.

  45. Amen, it's an open hand, not a closed fist.

  46. Have you ever tried to receive something with a closed fist?

  47. You know, brother Stan, let me use you a minute.

  48. Put out your fist like this.

  49. I don't wanna give you my pin here.

  50. No, just keep it closed Now.

  51. You can't receive anything with a closed fist.

  52. So the word Yod means take it, receive it Now.

  53. Is it gonna be good or bad?

  54. When we don't use our mouth in the right way?

  55. We're gonna take bad from the devil.

  56. We're gonna receive of him things that he's trying to give us.

  57. Are you with us?

  58. Yes, we are Powerful word, and that's exactly what the book says.

  59. It means an open hand, indicating power, means direction, custody, taking custody.

  60. I wanna take custody of billions of dollars for the kingdom's sake.

  61. I wanna take custody of billions of dollars for the kingdom's sake.

  62. Gotta work on our receivers.

  63. Where is your receiver?

  64. Is it your hand or is it your tongue?

  65. It's your tongue, your tongue.

  66. If you don't get your tongue trained, you're gonna stop receiving things that God wants to give you.

  67. Just drop off Things the devil wants to give you.

  68. Just take right in.

  69. It's what's happened so long in the church, but I believe the church is about to awaken.

  70. Amen, amen.

  71. So you literally hold life and death in your tongue.

  72. You hold it in your tongue, so choose life, take life Now.

  73. I told you this morning I wanted to give you some examples of some tremendous Bible characters, and I was meditating on this recently, going through Abram's life.

  74. Let's turn back in Genesis, chapter 12, because Israel's on the front page, or should be.

    Genesis 12 chapter mention

  75. They try to relegate Israel as much as they can to the back page.

  76. They don't want you to know what really is happening there.

  77. They're under attack.

  78. Iran is behind every bit of it, and Iran that feels very empowered now that Biden is in power and when he's vice president, when Obama dropped $100 million excuse me, $100 billion in cash money, cash, a plain load of cash to our enemies.

  79. The people that invented these IUDs, that blew our soldiers up in Afghanistan.

  80. They're making these drones.

  81. They invented the sniper rifles that killed our soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan.

  82. They are a very cunning people, the Persians, and right now they see a weakness and so they're taking advantage of it.

  83. In Genesis, chapter 12, we see that the Lord said unto Abram get thee out of thy country and from thy kindred and from thy father's house.

    Genesis 12 chapter mention

  84. Now notice those three concentric circles that are going tighter and tighter your country, your kindred I mean your nephew, your nephew and his wife, what and your father's house, get out to a land that I'll show you Now.

  85. In Hebrews 11, he's given a salute by faith.

  86. Abram left his home not knowing so.

  87. God gave him credit for just leaving, but he didn't leave correctly.

  88. How many of you know he didn't leave correctly?

  89. He took his daddy with him, he took Lot with him and he took Lot's wife with him.

  90. I don't know lots of wives that could not have been a great travel partner.

  91. She later turned into salt, right?

  92. How many of you know that?

  93. She didn't just develop that overnight.

  94. I mean, she's like that, okay, she's well.

  95. It doesn't say that.

  96. Well, you got to read between the lines.

  97. I always read between the lines.

  98. So he took his whole family.

  99. What did that do with his confession?

  100. What did that do with his tongue?

  101. He got it occupied with a bunch of drama.

  102. So, yes, he got credit for leaving.

  103. He did leave.

  104. But where did they go?

  105. Well, they went to Haran, which was a city that was filled with idol worship, so that daddy could keep making a living as an idol maker.

  106. That's what he did for a living.

  107. He made idols for other people to bow down to.

  108. How dumb can you get?

  109. Why would you want him along when the God of creation told you to leave him behind?

  110. Are y'all with me now?

  111. Well, why are you criticizing Abram?

  112. Because I think we get these people in the Bible so huge that we forget that they're just like you and I.

  113. They make big mistakes, and I just.

  114. The point of all of these things that I'm talking about right now is to tell you how long it took him.

  115. It took him the rest of his life.

  116. He left when he was 60.

  117. And it was 40 years later before he had the fulfillment of the promise, which is a generation.

  118. Took him a whole generation to learn what we heard this morning, what we're hearing tonight.

  119. Are y'all with me now?

  120. Well, we're all children of God by faith and children of Abraham by faith in Jesus.

  121. I know, I mean, he's the father of us all.

  122. He's the father of our faith and all that.

  123. That's true.

  124. God gave him a.

  125. You know, god was very generous with him.

  126. He didn't chide him, he didn't beat him up.

  127. He just let him eat the fruit of his lack of diligence.

  128. Oh, you want to wait a dinner?

  129. Okay, well, I got all the time in the world.

  130. You were to wait till you're too old?

  131. Okay, you want to wait till you're 99 and your wife is 94.

  132. You're going to have a baby?

  133. Okay, yeah, I'm going to do it anyway.

  134. See, god's not upset, but what we can see.

  135. Why are you saying to the pastor this is kind of me and you're kind of criticizing somebody that is lifted up in the Bible.

  136. Well, you know, the Bible calls lot righteous, righteous.

  137. Lot was vexed day to day with their evil doings.

  138. I don't see much evidence of lot being very righteous.

  139. He's a knucklehead.

  140. But anyway, I digress.

  141. Well, pastor that listen.

  142. The Old Testament written for our admonition.

  143. We're supposed to learn from their mistakes.

  144. Wouldn't you like to have your answers quicker than 40 years?

  145. For more?

  146. I am right now.

  147. I don't think 40 years is going to work for me.

  148. I'm going to have to have something a little faster than that.

  149. Are y'all?

  150. Are y'all with me now?

  151. So?

  152. So he said I will make a V.

  153. Now just this.

  154. He starts telling him what all the good stuff is going to be.

  155. I'm going to make of you a great nation.

  156. Let me ask you something how is he going to make a nation if he's not going to have children?

  157. So he's nullifying whatever's wrong with Sarah.

  158. You either believe it or you don't.

  159. He might have, but I don't think Sarah believed it much.

  160. Well, where it doesn't say that.

  161. Well, she didn't.

  162. She didn't act on it.

  163. There's no record of her saying I'm blored at God, I'm going to have a child.

  164. She didn't confess.

  165. She didn't believe in her heart and confess with her mouth.

  166. There's no record that they even knew how to operate in this.

  167. Let me tell you something.

  168. They did know how to contact Almighty God and they could have probably found out.

  169. It's on them, not on God.

  170. Well, you know, god is sovereign.

  171. God just did he had perfect time.

  172. No, his timing is whenever we get right.

  173. We put stuff, we say religious things because people have said it.

  174. Well, it's God's time.

  175. No, god's time is right now.

  176. He's a now God.

  177. He's rare.

  178. As soon as we believe and speak, he's there to back it up.

  179. Glory to God.

  180. Try to make it so spiritual.

  181. Well, I didn't get a parking place.

  182. It's just not God's time for me to park, so I parked in the tomb.

  183. All you know.

  184. Praise the Lord.

  185. I'll get indillered sometime later tonight.

  186. Oh, they're closed.

  187. That's because I walked from tomb all the way this ride with glad to.

  188. She'll park you right in the front door.

  189. I mean, I will make of the great nation and I will bless thee and make thy name great and thou shalt be a blessing.

  190. You have to be blessed to be a blessing.

  191. Was he blessed.

  192. Well, the Bible says he's very rich in cattle, silver and gold, so he was very blessed.

  193. He didn't do everything right, but he was blessed.

  194. He didn't make all the right decisions, but he was blessed, wasn't it?

  195. It takes a little of pressure off.

  196. I'm not trying to give you a pass, but I mean let's just let's learn from other people's mistakes as much as we can and make sure we learn from our own.

  197. Maybe it and I will bless them that bless thee and curse them that curse thee, and then they shall, all families of the earth, be blessed.

  198. It looks to me like now, today, and no, no small reason from the decisions that Abraham made, that very little of the earth is blessed because most of the earth is against Israel.

  199. The entire United Nations is against Israel.

  200. The entire Arab world is against Israel.

  201. The only friend they have in the entire world really that you can say consistently is America.

  202. And of course, it teeters back and forth the last 40 years, some of the decisions that our previous presidents have made, including the one now that we have.

  203. Now they made one good decision recently the United Nations wouldn't let a vote come to condemn Israel in the, where they were just defending themselves from bombs and drones and rocket attacks in their civilian areas.

  204. Miracle was that I think only three people died.

  205. It's a miracle that there weren't more people.

  206. I mean bombs, drones, rockets, all that stuff exploding in these areas the children have.

  207. They basically have to play underground.

  208. They have underground playgrounds for their children.

  209. How would you like to live like that?

  210. How would you like to live always listening for the siren?

  211. The answer is we wouldn't put up with it, would we?

  212. So what do you mean?

  213. Some of the decisions he made.

  214. So Abram departed.

  215. Of course we know he went to Haran and he's 60 when he left.

  216. He's 75 when he left Haran.

  217. He's stayed there 15 years.

  218. In that 15 years, do you suppose that he was working on his confession?

  219. Do you suppose he was speaking things like thank God, I'm the father of many nations.

  220. I tell you, god has blessed me to bless them.

  221. All the families of the earth are going to be blessed through my lineage.

  222. You suppose he was speaking that he's watching his father make idols?

  223. He picks up a servant woman named Hagar, who became later the mother of Ishmael, ishmael and the sons of Ishmael.

  224. 12 nations came out of Ishmael, all of which are enemies to this day of Israel.

  225. That one mistake, trying to fulfill in the flesh what God had promised him.

  226. So now he's 85.

  227. God visits with him.

  228. I'm not shielding and exceeding great reward.

  229. How do I know?

  230. You know I don't have a job.

  231. Where's my job?

  232. How is that?

  233. Is that a good confession?

  234. Does it sound like a whole lot of faith talking?

  235. Where's my promise?

  236. You said it.

  237. You said it.

  238. Come over here, son.

  239. Let me look up at the sky, look at the stars.

  240. That's how many you're going to have.

  241. Do you see him just changing right then, at age 85?

  242. No, no, that's when he has ishman.

  243. Right after that, when he's 86.

  244. So you don't see a whole lot of response from Abram.

  245. And then you've got the situation with Lot.

  246. He had to solve that problem Lot's herdsman.

  247. We're arguing with his herdsman.

  248. And Abram saw that that was not productive.

  249. It grieved his heart.

  250. So he had to go to Lot and say hey, lot, come on, man, why don't you make it on your own?

  251. Have you ever seen one of these big, old, great white sharks?

  252. And they've got these little fish that are sucked.

  253. They have suction cups on the side of them, you know, and they're just riding along with the great white shark, everywhere the great white shark is swimming.

  254. Here's this little fish stuck on the side.

  255. Some of them have 10 or 15, 20 of them.

  256. Weird looking thing, you know, I don't know why they don't go through a narrow spot and scrape them off, but anyway, they just let them ride along.

  257. You know, and that's exactly what Abram did.

  258. He let the guys suck.

  259. He said look, why don't you get out of here?

  260. Look, you go that way, I'll go this way, or you can go that way and I'll go this way, but we've got to have peace here.

  261. We've got all this conflict.

  262. Where did Abram go?

  263. Well, his wife chose.

  264. You know who chose Sodom.

  265. Right, you know who chose Sodom, the one that was really upset when Sodom was burning up.

  266. Are you with me now?

  267. And then he goes to Sodom.

  268. And what is it?

  269. Five kings come through there and clean the whole town out, took everything that was lost and guess who Rescued everything that belonged a lot.

  270. See, I'm talking about drama.

  271. I'm talking about things that were diversion, things that God never said anything about, things that were nothing but family ties, had nothing to do with God's plan to bless the whole world.

  272. Are you all with me now?

  273. Whoo.

  274. So then we know a lot.

  275. His wife turned to the assault and his daughters had children Moab and Ammon, two further enemies of Israel.

  276. Now the whole world is populated by the sons of Esau, the sons of Lot and Ishmael, and then, of course, abraham had a lot of other sons later on, and they populate the rest of the population.

  277. So you know really and truly.

  278. I mean, god's plan was for the entire world to be blessed through Israel, and yet it's going to take the church.

  279. I'm not saying we took their place, I'm saying God had to change horses Y'all are looking at me funny.

  280. All because somebody didn't know the power of life and death in their tongue.

  281. He didn't hook up with God, he didn't hook up with God's plan, he didn't speak it, he didn't speak it forth, he didn't contend for it until he was 99.

  282. And when he did, and when he called the thing that be, not as though it were Romans 416, that's when they conceived Isaac.

  283. And she said am I going to laugh at my old age?

  284. And they laughed so hard that they named their boy Ha Ha.

  285. Alabama used to have a Ha?

  286. Ha on their team.

  287. Ha Ha, clinton Dix.

  288. I don't know whatever happened to him in the pros, but anyway, he was a pretty good wide receiver.

  289. Well, I was.

  290. He named Ha because he Ha Ha'd all the way across the goal line every time he got the ball.

  291. And so Isaac was Ha Ha, which means joy and laughter.

  292. I'd like to have some Ha Ha.

  293. Would you like to have some Ha Ha's?

  294. Would you like to bring forth some Ha Ha's?

  295. I tell you, I believe God's got some things going on right here that we're going to bring forth some Ha Ha's out there.

  296. Man, glory to God, I'm going to hook my tongue up with what God wants to do.

  297. I'm going to hook my faith in my tongue up.

  298. I'm going to speak what I believe and I'm not going to let it be locked.

  299. In Glory to God, is this helping anybody today?

  300. I just you know, it sounds like he was so critical of Abram.

  301. No, I'm not.

  302. I mean, he came out okay, but, god, you can see that God's plan never really was completely consummated.

  303. That's the way he had envisioned, as much as he wanted it to be done, and that's well.

  304. It was just that God knew.

  305. Listen, god always knows the end from the beginning, and this proves that he's not a puppet master.

  306. He will let you choose less than what you've got coming.

  307. If that's what you want to do, he'll let you do it, but I want to choose everything that he has earmarked for me.

  308. I want to make sure you do the same.

  309. That's my job, is making sure that you claim every bit of it, this earmarked for you.

  310. And then together, glory to God, you get yours and I get mine, we all get ours together.

  311. Oh, glory to God, we're going to change this world for the good.

  312. Now let's look at Centurion, matthew, chapter eight.

  313. Here's a guy that had revelation about how important words his tongue is.

  314. And you getting anything out of this?

  315. Verse five?

  316. And when Jesus entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a Centurion beseeching, saying Lord, my servant lieeth at home sick of the palsy, which is a death sentence, grievously tormented.

  317. And Jesus said unto him I'll come and heal him.

  318. And the Centurion answered Lord, I'm not worthy of you to come under my roof, but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.

  319. Speak the word, just make a command, because everybody shout, because the word for means, because, for I am a man under authority.

  320. Notice what he led with.

  321. He said because I'm a Centurion, I've got men under me and if they don't do what I tell them to do, I step on them, tell a holler, get him up.

  322. No, he didn't go about how big he was and how great he was he talked about, for I am a man under authority and I say to this man, go when he goes, and to this man, come, and he comes and this other man, do this, and he does it.

  323. I had a guy that used to work for me.

  324. He didn't work for me, he worked for the contractor that I hired to do my slabs and his name was Doodad.

  325. And I said Doodad, where in the world did you get a name like Doodad?

  326. Why is your name Doodad?

  327. Never heard of a name like that.

  328. He said well, you know, I'm down here and I come to work.

  329. You know his job is a shovel.

  330. He digs a trench around the, you know, to put steel in.

  331. It's a hot job in the summertime and a cold job in the wintertime and a hard job all the time.

  332. And Doodad was out there and I asked him.

  333. I said what is Doodad?

  334. Where did that come from?

  335. He said well, I just come up on the job.

  336. The boss said do this and do that.

  337. So I'm Doodad.

  338. But the centurion knew about Doodad and Jesus heard it.

  339. And Jesus marvels Only two places in the Scripture where he marveled.

  340. He marveled at their unbelief in his hometown, and right here.

  341. Why?

  342. Why did he marvel?

  343. Because he had a revelation of how powerful the word, the spoken word, was.

  344. He didn't need Jesus to come visit him, he didn't need anything but the word going out of Jesus' mouth.

  345. That's all it took.

  346. He had a revelation of what it meant to have authority, because in order to have authority, you've got to be under authority.

  347. That's what's missing in the church, one reason why the church is so weak.

  348. Because we live in an age where there's entitlement and people think, because of social media, that they have a following and they think that it's owed to them a position or a title and very little accountability.

  349. You know, when accountability goes up and you become a person under authority, then, just like 92 and 29, your authority in the spirit realm grows exponentially and all of a sudden, devils have to watch out what you say.

  350. But the key is for you to be under authority.

  351. That means commitment.

  352. That means you've got to be willing to do whatever.

  353. You've got to be a doodad.

  354. Is your name doodad or not.

  355. So, jesus marveled.

  356. I have not found so great faith.

  357. No, not in Israel.

  358. Many start speaking against Israel, for I say unto you that many shall come from the east and the west and sit down with Abraham, isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven, but the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness and there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth because there's no real accountability, there's no real desire to be a person under authority, there's no real desire to find out God's kingdom ways.

  359. The way that kingdom operates is by faith.

  360. It's not emotion, it's not titles or entitlement, it's simply faith and obedience.

  361. Glory to God.

  362. Now listen to this one, Verse 13,.

  363. And Jesus said unto the Syriacurean Go thy way, and as thou hast believed, so shall it be done unto thee.

  364. Glory to God.

  365. I mean, he didn't even pray.

  366. Jesus didn't pray.

  367. He just said have it your way, burger King, have it your way.

  368. Do you want him healed?

  369. It's done.

  370. He didn't even pronounce him healed.

  371. He'd say hold on just a second, mr Centurion.

  372. In the name of, no, he, just as you have believed, so shall it be unto thee.

  373. And the servant was healed that same hour.

  374. Most verses say right then, right then, when Jesus released his faith.

  375. Are y'all with me now talking about the power in your tongue, the power of what we say?

  376. Oh, let's lift our hands right now, lord, give us, give us an insight into our own situation so that we can speak better, that we can not speak ill advisedly.

  377. I think I've been thinking about David.

  378. You know I said this here.

  379. I don't remember I'd lose track of when I say things, but remember when he was at the gate of Bethlehem he said oh, if I could just have a drink of the water from the well at Bethlehem, if I could just have a drink of water.

  380. And he was saying that.

  381. He wasn't saying that to get anybody to do it, but he had three of his mighty men there and they hazarded their lives.

  382. They went across enemy lines and they got him some of that water, brought it back to him.

  383. Oh, he just he knew he had spoken ill advisedly with his lips.

  384. He had made a demand, he had made a command and his subjects took it as a kingly order and it didn't matter if they died doing it, because they had already committed unto death to do whatever he said.

  385. Whatever he said they would do, but on his side.

  386. He didn't really.

  387. That was a fleshly desire.

  388. He did not mean for them to hazard their lives going to get him a drink of water.

  389. He's a soldier too.

  390. He can do without water for a little while longer.

  391. And so what did he do?

  392. He took the.

  393. I can't drink this, this is their blood.

  394. They gave me this water.

  395. This is their blood I'd be drinking.

  396. I can't do it.

  397. He poured it out for the Lord, poured it out as a sacrifice to the Lord.

  398. So you know, we've got to pay attention to what we're saying, about what we're facing.

  399. Glory to God.

  400. You get anything out of this tonight.

  401. Praise God.

  402. Everybody say I'm a doodad, all right, hallelujah.

  403. Let's look at James, chapter three.

  404. Doodad lives.

  405. I don't know how old he is by now.

  406. Let's see he's still alive.

  407. His boss was named True Heart Taylor.

  408. True Heart was a true, a true enigma.

  409. I missed True Heart.

  410. I didn't know what happened to him.

  411. He had an old dive over on Montgomery Road and so you know, he'd pay his guys on Friday and they'd go lose it all and play in dominoes and cards and his joint and spend it up on beer on Friday night and Saturday night.

  412. So they had to come back to work.

  413. I mean they were basically indentured servants.

  414. I mean, he just, he just, it's a circular deal.

  415. I mean, everything they paid him he'd win back, and you know.

  416. And so couldn't get him on the phone, he just disappeared.

  417. He had several crews work for different builders.

  418. I needed him and I had to go find somebody else.

  419. I don't know, it's six months later.

  420. He come driving up and he's green.

  421. He had a green Cadillac convertible.

  422. He come driving up, you know, we've got those rings on each finger.

  423. Man he was.

  424. He was, you know, had those gold teeth.

  425. He come driving up there, true heart.

  426. What in the world?

  427. What happened to y'all?

  428. My mama shot me.

  429. She caught him doing something that was not profitable for him and anyway he had a scar about 12 inches long, but he survived.

  430. That was true heart.

  431. Okay, james chapter three.

  432. Enough of my before Jesus days.

  433. James, chapter three, I guess to say all that.

  434. I've lived a real life and I've seen real people, real people.

  435. James chapter three is all.

  436. I'm not going to read that a whole thing, but it's about the tongue.

  437. James has got revelation about the tongue and he said behold the ships which, though they'd be so great, behold, we put bits in the horse's mouth.

  438. They obey us.

  439. We turn about their whole body.

  440. Behold also the ships.

  441. Be so great they're driven to fierce winds.

  442. Yet or they turned about with a very small helm with us wherever the governor lists us.

  443. Even so, the tongue is a little member, and both great things.

  444. Behold how great.

  445. A little uh, uh, uh, um, how great a matter.

  446. A little fire kind of the tongue is a fire world of iniquity.

  447. So your tongue can be set on fire of the devil, or it can be set on fire of the flesh, because your flesh is under is under uh influence of the enemy much of the time.

  448. That's why we have to present our bodies of living sacrifice, we have to renew our minds to the word of God, and so when we're immature we speak wrong and we can go all run off at the mouth and speak all kind of things that should not be spoken.

  449. So the tongue is like a match to set a forest fire.

  450. It's like a bridle turning a horse.

  451. It's like a rudder steering a ship.

  452. Men can't tame it, but the Holy Ghost can.

  453. That's why we all pray much in other tongues, because you're still speaking and you're using your tongue, even though you don't understand what you're saying, you're speaking things in the spirit that are going to come to pass.

  454. Are you with me now?

  455. So when you're a baby Christian, you know pray much in other tongues.

  456. I didn't know what to pray for when I was a baby Christian.

  457. I didn't know how to pray.

  458. I just prayed a lot in other tongues and it worked.

  459. God did some of the most amazing things.

  460. He would arrange my life in such amazing ways and it wasn't because you know, I knew anything.

  461. I mean the Holy Ghost just helped me pray, be filled with the Holy Ghost speaking to yourself, and Psalms and hymns and spiritual songs singing, making melody in your heart to the Lord.

  462. So it all involves the tongue.

  463. Thank God that we have this power.

  464. We can turn everything around, just like that prophecy, I'm telling you whatever's coming against you can be reversed if we'll just learn how to talk about it instead of complain about it.

  465. Talk to it, talk to your body.

  466. I tell you I believe in prayer, but I think we pray about the wrong things consistently.

  467. I think we do too much praying and begging God.

  468. We need to declare more.

  469. We need to speak boldly with our mouth.

  470. Be it unto us according as we will.

  471. It's not a matter of God doing it, just stand up and say it.

  472. You're not told.

  473. The story about Brother Hagin, you know.

  474. His mother said oh son, do you think it will work?

  475. More of a multiplication table work.

  476. His cousin was about to die and he said tell her you're living, not die.

  477. He tells another story of another I don't know if it's the same group or not but came to his mother.

  478. Mother calls him and said Brother Hagin's sister, oh, his sister, olita, called his sister, and she called and said that her grandbaby was born dead and then they revived the child but that his face was so deformed the doctors didn't want the family to see the baby because they didn't think the baby would make it anyway.

  479. It was very weak and deformed from the birth, and so they called and they wanted prayer.

  480. You know, olita.

  481. His sister says please, you know, and so Benny, the child's father, wants you to pray.

  482. And so he asked your sister, where is Benny?

  483. Well, he's right here by the phone booth, calling you from the phone booth.

  484. He's right here by the phone booth.

  485. He said tell Benny, the baby will live and not die.

  486. And she said oh, ken, do you think so?

  487. No, I know, so.

  488. No, I know.

  489. So I'm talking about words now.

  490. I'm talking about words.

  491. Well, but that's Brother Hagin.

  492. No, that's a believer.

  493. Yes, sir, I'm here.

  494. Well, he's a prophet.

  495. Well, no, he's a believer.

  496. First, the prophet didn't do that.

  497. The believer did that.

  498. Every one of us can do that.

  499. Well, he's got gifts of the spirit.

  500. Well, he does, but it wasn't a gift operating by faith.

  501. He said live and not die, spoke it and believed it.

  502. Where are we on that scale?

  503. Where are we on that continuum?

  504. Where are we where we can handle things by just saying it?

  505. Or where do we have to call from the pay phone and call the prayer line and get somebody else to do the praying for us and beg?

  506. Well, I got 5,000 people.

  507. Oh, they're all praying.

  508. It's not about 5,000 people, it's not even about five people.

  509. It's about what do you say?

  510. Tell Benny it'll live and not die.

  511. About 10 minutes later, the nurse ran in there to the family holding the baby.

  512. He says oh, you can see the baby now.

  513. We just watched and the baby, just the baby is just like blowing a balloon up.

  514. The face just filled out like that Pow, and now it seems to be just perfectly fine.

  515. Glory to come.

  516. On, let's lift our hands Like what no prayer made, no prayer, just speaking.

  517. Glory to come, hallelujah.

  518. Are you getting anything out of this tonight?

  519. I don't want to stir you up, I want to get you excited.

  520. Just think what we can do in this church.

  521. We all start speaking the same thing, saying the same.

  522. This is Houston's Healing Center.

  523. Amen, praise God, hallelujah, the power that is in the tongue.

  524. Praise God, how many of you are willing to use that power in the right way?

  525. Now, as I said, the word power.

  526. There is an open hand, and so our receivers are only, we're only going to be able to receive as big as we're able to believe in our heart and then also to speak with our man, our receiving.

  527. I'm talking about receiving now, cause this morning we were talking about the faith road.

  528. We were talking about this, this big old truckload of powerful blessings that are coming along the road that you built with your confession.

  529. But when it comes time to receive that Tina that's what I was talking about Get your mouth moving into that other realm of receiving that you've never even touched yet, and it's right there in front of you where you, you and Sam just begin to reach out and receive that increase.

  530. You receive that increase.

  531. See, there's more.

  532. Where that last one came, there's more.

  533. I don't where is it coming from?

  534. It's coming out of this world.

  535. It's right down here.

  536. It's down here.

  537. We don't even need to know where it comes from.

  538. You just receive it with an open hand.

  539. Come on, lift your hands right now.

  540. Come on, let's reach out with an open hand.

  541. I believe I've received what belongs to me.

  542. I'm not going to turn it away and I'm not going to let the devil steal it.

  543. Hallelujah, glory to God.

  544. Come on, let's rejoice right now.

  545. Praise God, praise God.

  546. I'd like to bring it to you Every kind of way there is.

  547. I mean, there's a mountain top.

  548. I can climb the mountain this way, or I go around the backside or up the side, either way.

  549. That's what I like to talk about.

  550. The word of faith is so powerful, so rich, and it's the thing, it's a part of the gospel that changes your life, changes other lives.

  551. Praise God.
